I love cds. They gotta be one of the best inventions. Truly the peak of physical media
#this goes for dvds as well#the little cylindrical disks speak to me#theyre the perfect size and they have amazing sound quality#vinyls and tapes are good too but you need specific equipment and speakers for those to really shine#with cds i just put one in my car and boom im in music heaven awesomeness#can yall tell i bought some new cds today#oh also theyre fairly inexpensive especially if you get them second hand#like i collect vinyl records too but even second hand theyre still 20 to 30 dollars#but cds and dvds are like 5 dollars or less second hand#truly beautiful#i am passionate about owning physical media that i like#crunchycore

Test printed my first two-color screen print! 🤘🔥
#screen printing#technically my second#if we count my first silk screen print when I made a stencil on vinyl with my cricut#and proceeded to align my screens on the floor of my kitchen using only my knees and raw unbridled willpower#I owe so much to my past self for fearlessly going balls to the wall on a quest that was clearly bigger than she was#and now we're here#trying again#not much wiser#but certainly better equipped and a little less fearful of trying#let yourself suck at stuff!#it makes the journey more rewarding#and the story a little funnier sometimes lol#hail skatin

one minute you're like "oh i think i could make an ita bag" and the next thing you know...
this is just a sample run to test out my pattern & techniques, not even my final window shape but im pretty happy with it! theres one tiny place i slipped, but i can just trim away a little more of the outline and youll never notice.
my goal is a backpack, but tbh i think when ive trialed my pattern im going to rip it all back apart and turn this into a round cross body bag- i think the window will look real good like that! i wasnt originally planning on getting use out of this but... im kind of falling in love
#i think ill also adjust the point of the top feather so it blends better#fabric stolen from work (literally from the bin which is why its grey) and sewn again. on my work machine#i feel p grateful to have the equipment that can handle this so i can just. whip up a bag if i want to#basically all i have to provide is the clear plastic (had some at home from protective table covers) and the lining fabric#which im undecided on so far! i wasnt planning on a traditional lining anyway hrbdjdbd#ita bag#sewing#ill need a stiffer vinyl for the real thing i think but this aint too bad#im hoping i can beg my supervisor for something we have in stock otherwise. bag fabric shopping for meeee#i have plans btw. i wanna make a couple different things! im having fun#sorry again if youre expecting other updates. things r pretty scattered over here & for now im just going along with my whims#so no promises on progress on any 1 project

#twist rambles#like i feel SO well equipped to handle this?? and the head is PERFECTLY in scale for the body and should match pretty decent and all the#neck mods ive done should ALSO be ok. like for me its really nice bc looking at this head initially i was like. no fucking way am i gonna b#able to do ANYTHING for her. i cant fix this and so i shouldnt even consider it. but now im like ok. i think this is gonna work out perfect#even if some parts. well are gonna be scary... im dreading doing the eyes lol. but future me's issue lol. but idk. its just been rly cool o#like. i rly looked up to other ppl in this hobby that were able to fix up REALLY damaged dolls like this. like one person ive talked to a#bit on the resin side of it all is so so sklled at repair and has so much knowledge. and idk its cool to take on a project like this and#know im well equipped for it. knowledge wise. like its... idk definitely the worst shape doll ive gotten since i got into this in 2018. so#im excited :) and i havent worked w vinyl dolls for a while so... idk im excited to get this doll... and hopefully it wont be TOO bad lmao#^currently in research hell but. idk im excited#bjd posting#<- again so bad at remembering to tag this bc i go turbo autism mode in the tags. sadly lol

My little brother is a golfer (mild word for it) and he wanted some custom golf club covers. His girl friend at the time like green and ofc he went black and white, so I added white to the gf’s so they matched a little.
But black and white is boring. So I added just a touch of red on R’s covers and he liked it! So I did good.
I machine embroidered the circle patches on vinyl and then top stitched them down on each club cover. Minky and flannel were put on the inside to keep it soft and non scratchy. They even have some elastic inside that grips the club. I’m pretty proud of how they turned out, for not having made anything 3D before LOL
