It takes privilege to protest at Columbia.
The 114 anti-Israel protesters who were busted at Columbia on Thursday include members of the upper crust: an intern for New York State Attorney General Letitia James — and the daughter of a prominent UPS executive who killed an elderly couple with her truck as a teenager and got off with a slap on the wrist.
A Post deep-dive into the backgrounds of the protesters shows many list multimillion-dollar mansions as their home addresses, according to sources, and come from wealthy and powerful families.
5The 114 anti-Israel protesters who were busted at Columbia on Thursday include an intern for New York state AG Letitia James — and the daughter of a prominent UPS executive who killed an elderly couple with her truck as a teenager.
In 2020, at the age of 16, Isabel veered her Toyota Tacoma pickup truck across a double yellow line on US Route 7 in Charlotte, Vermont, killing Chet and Connie Hawkins, a married couple in their 70s, according to a report by the Barre Montpelier Times Argus.
She pleaded no contest to a civil traffic ticket for “driving on roadways laned for traffic” and was issued a $220 fine — which her mother paid, according to the Rutland Herald.
Many are students at Barnard College, Columbia University’s liberal arts sister school.
Others are career activists with multiple arrests under their belts.
Minnesota congresswoman and “Squad” member Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, a Barnard student with a long history of civil disobedience, was among those cited for trespassing and taken into custody.
She was released a few hours later and declined to speak to The Post.
Also cuffed and removed from the Columbia campus was Isabel Jennifer Seward, daughter of high-ranking UPS executive William J. Seward.

Finished her up finally.
She's sort of the antagonist boss for the Sterling family/Starknight 'story', though not the "main" villain, as the endgame boss actually first needs to regain his memory lol (She might even end up helping the good guys at that point with her massive amount of knowledge that could be useful for them)
She is the boss for Cornel Sala, AND Vincent DeVos/Vee, who's my character Angus' toxic ex friend.
More info about Camilla below:
Name: Camilla Barone
Age: 39
Height: 171 cm
A mob family leader who is the head of the family opposing Vermontes
Role: One of the antagonists for the Starknight tag
Love interest: She has somewhat of a physical relationship with her vampiric right hand man, though its purely casual, neither she or him take it very seriously.
Subordinates:  Vincent DeVos (A plaque demon) Samar (A Seemingly ancient Soul Eater, who turns out to be the brother of the Soul Eater King/Deity) Cornel Sala (A vampire)
Rival: The Sterling family, a Sorceress-Grimmhound family that often meddles in their business to prevent the harm they may cause.
Powers:
Sharp shooter: Camilla has a very good aim with a gun, and is also excellent at using a rifle.
High intellect: she is a very good tactician, and is able to consider her next several moves ahead. She isn't the type to rush into action needlessly, and will listen if told doing something is just far too risky despite short-term benefit.
Knowledge of Ether: She knows a lot about the mythical world, mythical beings and magic thanks to Cornel, and always makes sure to keep as much knowledge as possible stored for future uses. This enables her to, for example, counter things such as Grimmhounds (Diojas' bio dad Alexander) or how to diffuse dark magic spells. (Azul's forte)
Natural authority: She has this natural vibe to her that makes people listen to her. When her brother mysteriously ended up dead, nobody questioned her and were fine with her becoming the next boss - despite her gender - because she's always had more respect from the members than her brother did. Also she's guarded by 2 VERY terrifying men typically (Samar and Cornel) so you don't wanna mess with her.
Weaknesses:
Being a human, she is fairly defenseless against a lot of magic things, if she hasn't looked into it enough, and therefore can still be caught off-guard even if she has studied her mythical enemies a lot.
Her job is very straining and stressful mentally, making her struggle with normal socialization, which does make her feel very lonely and isolated at times. Her mythical guardians are always by her side, but ultimately, deep down, she knows they're not the same as her fellow humans. (Also she really wishes she had a gal-pal to chat with)
Having been almost killed once before she can be pretty paranoid about her safety, even when being protected by a literal vampire and a soul eater. However, paradoxically she then might be too comfortable around them, sometimes putting herself at risk when Cornel is going feral for example.
Personality:
Camilla is very serious and closed-off most of the time, and tends to not care for unnecessary chit-chat. She is very cautious and considers her every move carefully. Being a mob boss means she has hardened herself for such things like violence, and didn't even shed a tear when her brother was killed.
She isn't entirely heartless though; for example, she tends to not be happy if children are mixed into the business somehow, or if needless violence is used. She also genuinely feels sympathy for Vee, and them being rejected by someone he loves, as well as pities their inability to see why that happened.
Camilla does prefer avoiding unnecessary violence whenever able, because she doesn't find it that productive and could just trigger unnecessary cycles of vengeance that is bad for business.
BG Story
Camilla used to be her brother's closest confidant, until he started to obsess over the mythical beyond what was typical of their family, to the point of wanting to start a "relationship" with one working for them - a Grimmhound Roman Bosco. She observed from the sidelines as he began dappling with things he didn't fully understand and without their usual safety precautions, to the point he didn't even always listen to the warnings given to him by Cornel Sala - a vampire working for Camilla who knows his shit - about being careful with what he got his hands to.
However, once Roman managed to escape her brother's clutches, he fully went off the deep end, forgetting all about his family duties and only focusing on in his pursuit to find Roman and get him back. At this point, Camilla approached Cornel, telling him she was concerned her brother could end up destroying their family if this kept up. He agreed with her assessment, admitting he'd been concerned with his more and more unhinged behavior; if he started getting too careless with his dappling with magic, that would be bad for Cornel too as him being alive could get exposed to the forces that had once hunted him before his supposed death. Sometime after this conversation, Cornel kills her brother secretly.
Now the new head of the family, Camilla is introduced to an old servant of the Barones, who was invited in to become her personal guardian as per tradition in their family (her brother had refused this offer at the time as he had Roman): a man who'd served their parents and grandparents; A soul eater called Samar. She is initially miffed about this, but he quickly becomes a surrogate father figure to her.
Fun Facts:
She's Demiromantic bi.
Camilla sometimes wears sunglasses, or glasses with one blackened lens, instead of an eyepatch.
Camilla doesn't like drinking alcohol, she hates how it can hindrance your decision making ability. She lets her companions check all her drinks beforehand too, to make sure someone isn't trying to smuggle her alcohol or something worse.
Barones are mainly "officially" known for smuggled goods, counterfeit items business, money laundering and arms dealing. (Camilla's brother wanted to get into drug trade too, but she finds that too risky and messy)
Their more mythical, occultist business is a well kept secret that only select few are aware of.
She has been offered to heal her eye by both Cornel and Vee, but has declined their offers, not really trusting either with vulnerable medical things like an eye.
Camilla doesn't fully trust either Cornel or Vee, but does trust Samar due to him having been in their family for so long. Ironically the person who stabs her in the back (involuntarily in a way, circumstances force it) ends up being him.
Camilla is aware there's sexual tension between Cornel and Sam as well, and doesn't really care as its not like she's in a serious relationship with the vampire.
She pities Vee, as she could tell almost instantly - alongside everyone else pretty much - why he was rejected by Angus. She is also not always that happy when Cornel tricks him into doing unpleasant work he's too lazy to do.
While DeVos sometimes freaks her out due to his whole plague demon deal, she tends to still be fairly nice to him, seeing him almost like a poor lost child who doesn't really understand yet where he went wrong.
The simple pattern tattoo she has is in reference to their late mother who also had similar tattoo, just around her collarbone.

Alan Arkin, who has died aged 89, was a star at the beginning of his career and a beloved character actor until the end. Though best known for comedies, most notably Catch-22 (1970) and Little Miss Sunshine (2006), lightness was not necessarily his forte; even at his funniest, he exuded gravitas. “I’ve studied acting seriously,” he said in 1982. “I’m not the clown who wants to be Hamlet or anything like that. I just think that regarding oneself as comic means that one’s primary obligation is to get laughs.”
He could be a prickly figure. “Alan does not meet you halfway as an actor,” said the writer-director Marshall Brickman, who cast him as a brainwashed scientist in the science-fiction comedy Simon (1980). “He’s a very serious actor. I think he’s brilliant. But he’s not interested in winning you over via personality. The way he photographs has a kind of austerity that’s a little hard for an audience to take. You either like Alan or you don’t.” The Oscar Arkin won for playing a heroin-snorting grandfather in Little Miss Sunshine ratified his status as a US national treasure.
Arkin was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Beatrice (nee Wortis) and David Arkin, both schoolteachers. As a child, he attended acting classes. The family moved to Los Angeles when Alan was 11, but trouble befell the family when David was accused of communist affiliations (disproved posthumously) during the McCarthy era.
Alan studied acting at Los Angeles State College of Applied Arts and Sciences (now California State University, Los Angeles) before transferring to Bennington College, Vermont. In 1955, he married Jeremy Yaffe, and became active in the folk music scene. Along with fellow members of his group, the Tarriers, he was credited as co-writer of The Banana Boat Song (Day-O), an adaptation of a Jamaican folk standard. (A different version was a hit for Harry Belafonte.)
After an inauspicious film debut with the Tarriers in Calypso Heat Wave (1957), he threw in his lot with acting. He made his off-Broadway debut in the late 1950s and joined the Chicago improvisational group the Compass Players in 1959. This led to a stint with the Chicago improv troupe Second City and his Broadway debut, in 1961, in the company’s show From the Second City, which he co-wrote.
Arkin did not forgo folk music entirely: he formed the children’s group the Babysitters, which also featured Yaffe until their divorce. The band was later joined by his second wife, the actor and writer Barbara Dana, whom he married in 1964.
He left Second City after landing the lead on Broadway in a 1963 production, Enter Laughing, for which he won a Tony award. In the same year, he wrote, scored and starred in the Oscar-nominated short film That’s Me. Norman Jewison gave him his first major film role in The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming (1966), a comic take on cold war paranoia. Arkin received an Oscar nomination for his performance as a lieutenant on a Soviet submarine that runs aground in New England.
His range was indisputable. Comparisons to Peter Sellers abounded even before Arkin took the title role in the misguided, off-piste comedy Inspector Clouseau (1968). He accepted a rare villainous part in Wait Until Dark (1967), terrorising a blind Audrey Hepburn. In the same year, he played one of Shirley MacLaine’s lovers in Vittorio de Sica’s portmanteau film Woman Times Seven. He won a second Oscar nomination for playing a deaf man in The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter (1968), adapted from the novel by Carson McCullers, and starred as a Puerto Rican widower raising his children in Popi (1969).
His landmark role came when he was cast as the anxious bombardier Yossarian in Mike Nichols’s film of Joseph Heller’s Catch-22. The New York Times critic Vincent Canby summed up Arkin’s appeal: “[He] is not a comedian; he is a deadly serious actor, but because he projects intelligence with such monomaniacal intensity, he is both funny and heroic at the same time.” The eight-month shoot was an arduous experience for the actor. “If they had shot footage of the making of the film,” he said, “it would’ve been a hell of a lot closer to the book than the movie was.”
Arkin had already directed several shorts when he embarked on his full-length directing debut, an adaptation of Jules Feiffer’s blackly comic play Little Murders (1971), set in a fractured and hostile New York City. The film’s critical reputation has grown steadily along with that of Arkin’s follow-up, Fire Sale (1977). Both pictures exhibit an acidic, rueful comic tone consistent with the mood of 1970s independent cinema.
In the same decade, Arkin played a long-distance truck driver in Deadhead Miles (1972), scripted by Terrence Malick; unsure how to market this eccentric road movie, Paramount shelved it, though it has surfaced occasionally on television. He teamed up with James Caan in the action comedy Freebie and the Bean (1974), with Peter Falk in The In-Laws (1979) and with Jeff Bridges in the 1930s-set Hearts of the West (1975). In The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (1977), he played Sigmund Freud, who welcomes Sherlock Holmes (Nicol Williamson) as a patient. He was a washed-up superhero in the Australian musical comedy The Return of Captain Invincible (1983) and a concentration camp prisoner in Escape from Sobibor (1987).
During the 1990s, Arkin’s movie career began its second flourishing. He specialised in sympathetic father figures in Coupe de Ville and Edward Scissorhands (both 1990) and Slums of Beverly Hills (1998), and played a desperate salesman in Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), the film of David Mamet’s play. He was also memorable as an assassin’s psychiatrist in Grosse Pointe Blank (1997). An acclaimed performance as a troubled insurance manager in Thirteen Conversations About One Thing (2001) attracted further awards.
The independent smash Little Miss Sunshine exploited Arkin’s contradictory qualities of coarseness and warmth. After that, most of his films felt minor: in 2008 he delivered another beneficent father routine in Sunshine Cleaning and a helping of spy antics in Get Smart, and was a twinkly editor in the family hit Marley & Me. More challenging was Rebecca Miller’s drama The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009), in which Arkin played a man married to a woman 30 years his junior. His fond portrayal of a grizzled movie producer in Argo (2012), Ben Affleck’s thriller set during the Iran hostage crisis, was hugely admired and was nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar.
He starred with Al Pacino and Christopher Walken as ageing crooks reuniting for one last job in Stand Up Guys (2012), and with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman as retirees who plot to rob a bank after losing their pensions in Going in Style (2017). He was also in Tim Burton’s live-action remake of Dumbo (2019) and played a Hollywood agent in the Netflix series The Kominsky Method (2019) with Michael Douglas.
In 2020, he published Out of My Mind, which detailed his 20-year friendship with his spiritual mentor John Battista, though Battista’s full name is not mentioned in the book, nor his fall from grace (Battista was charged with the sexual abuse of several women and one girl) and suicide. The scandal caused a kind of paralysis in Arkin for six months, he told the Guardian in 2020. “But I doggedly went on and I’m glad that I did.”
He is survived by his third wife, Suzanne Newlander, whom he married in 1996, two sons, Adam and Matthew, from his first marriage, and a son, Anthony, from his second marriage.

what's your favorite fob album actually?
hi this is going to be a long answer because i could not decide on just one <3
pre-hiatus: infinity on high - folie ily but me and ioh have history. this is the first fob album that really sunk its teeth into me, even though i knew next to nothing about the band or much else of their music. i had a cd id burned and played it on repeat the summer i got my first real apartment. (this was also the year i really came out to myself. it was rough. but screaming along to ginasfs helped). also vincent van gogh was my hyperfixation before fob and id love to talk to mr joe trohman about it. This album is that first taste of freedom, that sense of coming into your own despite the cost. It's blaring thrillers intro as you peel out of your parents' place and head back into the city. It's realizing you're in love with your best friend and you thought love was supposed to feel warm and happy but not this kind of love (this new knowledge about yourself feels like a dirty secret you share with your shitty little car and the empty roads of the farmland around you). Infinity on high is an old friend you can always come home to, pick up right where you left off, they see all your new scars, your battle wounds, the ways you've grown and changed, and they tuck a dandelion behind your ear and love you just the same.
post-hiatus: so much (for) stardust - smfs is for the orchestra kids and you can pry that from my cold dead hands. Even though I'd casually listened to fob for years, this is the first album where i got to experience it from the first teases through the releases through everything that was and is tourdust. *tw* i initially made this tumblr when i was relapsing into some disordered eating habits, but smfs brought me over to foblr instead, and brought me to friends (looking at you @pluggedintosaverockandroll and @katrois ilysm). I listened to love from the other side a lot on my february trip to nyc, really thinking i was gonna end up there for good by september. It felt like hope. The first time i listened to the album all the way through was skating to work along the charles river. I think i played it on repeat until i started applying to jobs in Vermont and noah kahan got brought into the mix. Seeing them on tour healed a little something in me, i think. Especially with ginasfs as an 8ball song. That scared kid with a burned cd never would've believed we made it out of indiana, that we lived in a big city on the east coast, and that we get to have a body that feels closer to home more days than not, that we don't have to be scared of who we love anymore. Getting to see the band put together this album and go on tour and have fun gives me hope, because right now i'm in a folie stage of life. I have to believe someday i can heal too.
I loved this question <3 tysm for asking ily <33

-----------------------✰--------------------
todd anderson never really enjoyed driving in the snow. he had some issues with sight, especially at night, so the combination of twilight time and falling snow was particularly nerve-wracking for him. it was alright though, for now at least. he let out a deep breath, one he wasn’t quite aware he had been holding in the first place.
as the car continued down the road that was just beginning to be lit by the soft yellow of the lights that lined them, he was thinking about the papers he had to grade. at thirty years old, todd anderson was an english teacher at a small school in vermont, ironically close to his old stomping ground at welton. he had thought that he would move away somewhere, in those days. he used to look out the window and dream of somewhere he could see the ocean. his house, a small cottage on a side road, was only a few minutes from a lake, and that was enough for him. in the summers, he spent time sitting on the bench he had found there, the sound of laughter and happiness in the distance putting a small smile on his face. moments like those made him wonder if he should get a pet, someone he could spend time with.
the snow was coming down harder now, and todd felt himself tense up despite himself. deep breaths didn’t work in these situations, though that was what everyone used to tell him. he continued down the road, pressing on the brake to slow down. however, a patch of ice he didn’t see caused a skid, and in the blink of an eye, todd’s car had slipped beyond his control, rolling ironically into a safe spot on the side.
“shit.” he spoke quietly, placing a fist to his heart. (he couldn’t feel it under his heavy coat.) his screwed his eyes shut, breath becoming faster. his car was stopped and parked, so he was alright. he knew he was close to his home, close to the lake. he clacked his teeth against each other, the rhythm easing his worry a bit. it was very dark now, yet the snow still fell, large flakes illuminated by the soft yet sparse light. in the sound space no longer occupied by the engine allowed for todd to hear the low voice on the radio, and he reached a gloved hand to turn the volume up. a soft song with guitar was playing, and he decided it might be worth a listen. the volume went up a few more ticks.
“flaming flowers that brightly blaze/swirling clouds in violet haze…”
the enchanting melody caught his attention. he closed his eyes, visual mind hard at work painting his own picture in his mind. a beautiful starry sky, a few trees framing a certain lake…
he opened his eyes, blinking a few times. it was strange. usually his mind was creative enough to come up with new pictures to music, and yet this was familiar. he remembered this lake. his eyes widened as he listened yet again.
“they did not listen, they did not know how/perhaps they’ll listen now.”
he shook his head, a small exhale coming from his lips. he wasn’t sure how he was feeling. a strange mixture of familiarity and surprise overtook him, a bright green sense of strangeness.
“for they could not love you/but still your love was true.”
todd couldn’t blink. his eyes were frozen, seemingly looking at the falling snow in front of him.
“and when no hope was left inside/on that starry, starry night/you took your life as lovers often do.”
he wasn’t looking at the falling snow in front of him. it was all coming back to him. every single moment.
“but i could have told you, vincent.”
todd was only thinking of one person.
“this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.”
after that, he couldn’t hold it together anymore. he opened the door of his car, walked in a daze out to his bench, lowering himself down carefully. todd closed his eyes, put his head in his hands. he could feel the snow in his hair, almost feel hands around him. but when he opened his eyes, there was no one there. tilting his head back, he took solace in one thing. for though his sight was blurry with tears, he could still see the stars perfectly.
“this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.”

He's one of the protagonists for the Starknight Tag, though also plays a role in Night City Parlor, being the doc for the main family.
Name: Angus Belmont
Age: 37
Blood Sage Warlock with dragonic heritage
Occupation: Doctor/ A "Shadowless"
Family: little sister Franziska, foster kid Clover formerly known as Oliver Blanc
Friends: Jurou Blackthorne (Angus is his family doctor). Amalia Marek, a fellow Shadowless. Chester Knight/Azul Samaros, a former classmate/rival (this is a complicated friendship, where Azul is actually quite important for his personal story arc/in a way his closest friend, but they still kinda butt heads), Diojas Vermonte.
Rival: Chester Knight Alias Azul Samaros
(Ex) Love interest: Vincent/Vince/Vee DeVos (A plague demon)
Current love interest (post main story): Lucas Arkwright (human)
Abilities:
As a blood mage, Angus has the ability to manipulate other people's mind and bodies either by touching them, or sometimes just looking at them in the eyes if the person is vulnerable enough or consents to it. He can also use his own blood to form weapons such as blades, whips and even shields. He can ALSO use other people's blood for the same purpose.
Angus has one special ability that is thought to be lost form of blood sage magic; a very special rune called Mind Prism that was thought lost to ages, given it was considered too dangerous to be used ever since its creation, and became forbidden knowledge. This symbol allows him to trap people inside their own minds, into a nightmare that they cannot wake up from, until the chosen amount of time runs out. Another insidious part of this spell is, that the affected person cannot die until they wake up, even if their body withers away. Their soul will remain trapped within their corpse until the time is up. The spell can also be used to trap a large number of people at once.
Angus does also know the equally near forgotten way to reverse the spell. He in fact, mainly uses the reversal spell if he runs into rare cases of someone having fooled around with this forbidden magic, not knowing what they were doing. He has only used the trapping spell itself twice in his life.
His dragonic heritage means that the shapeshift ability his kind have is a bit more advanced, where he can shapeshift much more than average blood mage, but only in one specific way; he can turn his bodyparts into dragon-like things, such as summoning wings, morphing his hands into claws, tough dragon like scaly skin, etc. He has a special form as well, that his friends have dubbed "Angel" because he looks like some horrifying demonic angel figure in it with wings and a halo.
He has some knowledge of nature magic as well, a necessity to learn after taking Clover in. It is also useful for his job as a doctor as he knows healing spells and potions that can be useful for more difficult cases
He is capable of undoing lot of dark magic curses and seals, thanks to having studied them and how they work a lot. This has also proven useful in both of his jobs, such as healing a patient suffering from a curse, or countering one thrown at him by his target as a Shadowless.
Personality:
Angus seems like calm and collected man, who comes off a bit cold and overtly logical scientist type. While he's quite closed off and doesn't have time for small talk usually, he is ultimately a caring person who takes his job seriously, both as a doctor and a foster parent. He has a rather dry and sometimes dark sense of humor, and is known to be intimidating to many patients, but also really good at his job. You generally do not dare to be a difficult, nasty asshole with Dr. Belmont. In truth he is hyper-aware of how people view him due to his past, and actually is far more patient than people truly realize.
Because of his background, Angus does have a darker, more vindictive side that he struggles to keep in check, and it tends to come out a lot more in his other job, where he can be borderline sadistic. Angus can also be extremely petty and overtly harsh in situations involving even slight harm or discomfort when it comes to his sister or adoptive kid.
Post main story, his negative traits do mellow out, and due to his somewhat healed self-esteem, Angus stops worrying over what people think too much, allowing himself to be much blunter and threatening if he wants to be. He is also bit more open about how he feels about things than what he used to be.
Weaknesses:
Angus' mental state isn't the best due to his low self-esteem, and he often feels like he's on the edge of snapping and doing something bad if pushed hard enough. He is in a way aware and afraid of his own darker side, and the nasty traits his toxic friendship with Vee created.
He tends to view himself as a bit of a monster, which is why he doesn't like letting people too close to him. He doesn't like showing his weakness, be it physical or emotional, which tends to lead a lot of exhaustion, both physical and mental. He gets better at this post main-story, but tends to still be difficult to socialize with.
BG STORY
The Belmont family was a well-known old mage family line known from being "chimeraic" I.E having all sorts of heritage among it, resulting in a lot of unexpected and peculiar magic abilities with the members. They lived in Switzerland, when the siblings were born. The family had not wanted to move to live in the "realm of the beasts" as they called the Mirror Realm, thinking they belonged among humans instead, although did look down on non-magic wielders.
Much to their dismay, neither child possessed the kind of magic they'd hoped: Franziska had awakened her cat sith ancestry, limiting her transformation ability to just one type and thus making her seem weak and useless in her parents' eyes. Angus in turn was born with something utterly bizarre, something they feared and couldn't understand as they had no saved record of such magic in their bloodline.
Their childhood was rather difficult as a result: Franziska was treated as useless, and Angus was seen as a freak of nature by his parents. Both hid their "abnormal" features even at home (out and about was understandable, because humans would've become suspicious and confused), as neither parent wanted to see their so-called "failure." Angus still studied his bizarre magic secretly, and managed to find out what it was exactly, learning to control it better slowly.
Then, when the two were teenagers, an incident happened in their house where an argument broke between Franziska and their father, with his mother trying to step in to stop it worried people outside would notice, which resulted in his father accidentally killing her with his fire magic. He blamed Franziska for her death in his rage, attempting to kill her too now.
Angus stepped in at that point upon seeing what was happening, and used the Mind Prism rune spell he'd recently learned, without really understanding what it did. This essentially caused him to accidentally kill his father by trapping his mind into a dangerous nightmare state, which gave him a heart-attack as he was already agitated.
The now-orphaned siblings ended up running away from home after this incident and setting the house ablaze, finding their way to the Mirror Realm where they were taken in by the Witch Covenant, a sub-section of the grand Arcane Council handling the matters of magic wielders of the world.
The life with the covenant was better, but people were still afraid of Angus' power due to its rarity. It also attracted something to him, a young Plague Demon called Vincent (or Vee) who revealed to him his magic originated from his created, the Herald of Pestilence. The two became friends, but unknowingly to Angus, Vee was becoming a toxic influence to him, making him cause chaos and havoc in the university they both went in. The two became quite notorious, until another student started to openly oppose them, a young Dark arts Warlock called Chester Knight. The trio kept clashing for the next two years, up until Vee's actions resulted in genuine near deaths to some students, which, alongside Franziska's concerns, made Angus realize what he was turning into. After Vincent was expelled and ran before he could be brought before the Overshadower Council (Group that handled matters of dark beings) Angus stopped his destructive behavior.
He was put on probation instead of being expelled, partially because he hadn't been directly involved in the incident and had actually tried to stop Vincent, partially because his rival's father, Lionel, spoke for him for some reason, and took him under his wing, mentoring him through rest of his studies. This did make things tense given the man was his rival's father, but after the first few months the pair just started ignoring each other essentially.
Sometime after he got his license and began to practice as proper doctor, Angus came across a young child patient who was clearly stuck in an abusive situation. being reminded of their own home life, Angus ends up observing his parents, eventually letting the Witch Covenant know about the horrible experiments the pair was doing to the boy. He also ended up essentially stealing the boy from his "parents," sensing he didn't have time to wait for a response from the Covenant.
In the end, the Covenant manages to jail the boy's "mother," whereas his sperm donor ends up trying to come and forcibly take the boy back, ending up dead just like Angus' father, though this time the action was more deliberate. After all this, The Covenant decides to let little Konjou stay with him, as the boy himself wanted to and his volatile powers would've destabilized and caused harm if he was forcibly removed from the space he'd now deemed safe. It was initially supposed to be just temporary until Konjou - now going by Clover - stabilized enough, but the boy ended up staying with them for good.
While he had managed to hide the death of his father, and the manner of death for Clover's biological father, someone eventually found out. He was approached by a young fae woman working for a man called Lawrence Faydream, who was the leader of a secretive but important organization in their new home realm, a group called The Shadowless.
He was essentially given a choice - an indirect threat posed as a job offer - of joining the ranks to work on keeping the Mirror realm hidden from humans, or people potentially learning of his usage of a forbidden ancient rune. Angus decided to accept the offer, as long as he was allowed to still work as a doctor.
The Shadowless extra info:
Their current head is Lawrence Faydream, a Dream eater: he doesn't go to the field (anymore) but rather handles the communication and assigns the missions to whichever Shadowless he thinks is most suitable.
The uniforms for Shadowless are typically the similar, with just some minor adjustments for personal accommodation, such as him having his shoulder-bits open for his dragonic spines.
The uniforms are usually either black with red accents, or red with black accents.
The color typically indicates if the Shadowless is primarily an Investigator (Black), or a Hunter (Red). (The Investigators are also the ones with hoods, so Angus's primary job is intelligence gathering/tracking people down even if he can fight well.)
The masks all have the same Shadowless symbol.
They are generally seen as a fearsome group by the citizens, but also understood as important for everyone's safety.
They actually rarely execute their target, normally the person is either arrested, have their magic revoked/privilege to visit human realm revoked for a period of time, or in some rare cases just get off with a warning.
They ONLY handle things relating to human realm and keeping balance, not any everyday crimes within Mirror World.
Fun Facts:
The only people who know he is a Shadowless (technically illegally, this is typically forbidden knowledge outside The Shadowless themselves) outside his comrades are Jurou, Clover, his former friends-with-benefits Vincent/vee, Azul Samaros/Chester Knight and Angus' sister Franziska.
He does mention this to Lucas as well later, though Lucas has no clue what all that means, being an outsider.
His magic power originates from The Herald of Pestilence, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. This is why his magic type is considered Warlock magic specifically in this story, as not only is it useful for combat, but technically it originated by making a deal with a powerful entity. Angus did not do it directly himself, but it still counts.
Angus does kind of hate his second job because it caters to his darker tendencies that he tends to try and desperately keep in check for his day-to-day life. It is too tempting to allow himself to go beyond certain lines as Shadowless, because he'd get away with it....
Angus is aromantic bi, which is why he never really considered his relationship with V romantic, and in fact felt kind of bad he couldn't return the feelings V clearly had for him. Even now he does have complicated thoughts about Vee, and cares about him, even willing to give him a chance at trying to make amends by helping them with Lucas' situation.
In turn, while he also doesn't harbor romantic attraction towards Lucas, he does grow very fond of him in other ways, and given Lucas is the only one he eventually let's physically close, it's pretty clear to everyone what kind of role the himbo human plays in his life. (Plus Clover digs him, so that's good)
His style is best described as "Casual with lot of black."
Angus does have a more demonic looking Blood sage form that is much more influenced by his dragonic heritage, but this one tends to only appear if he loses grip on himself and starts acting unhinged. (Post main story he learns to control it better, this is the "Angel" referred to before)
While people don't know that Angus can perform the forbidden spell, there are rumors that his Alter Ego Scarlet Drake can use it, which further makes him one of the most feared Shadowless despite not even being a Hunter.
While they were bitter rivals, later on Azul (and Diojas) becomes that one person Angus tends to actually be more open and vulnerable around, because unlike everyone else, he feels like Azul always means what he says, and isn't saying certain things just to make him feel better. He does also get along with Azul's boyfriend quite well.
