the bitch is back…. i mean me not tim, but tim is also a bitch.

thank you so much to my followers (i love each and everyone of you <3) for waiting so patiently for me to get myself together (still shaky, so again, posts might be scattered but i will be posting!!).

i wanna start a series where i do these long form character headcanons for the batboys (and maybe girls one day, i’ve just not thought about it aha) and so i obviously had to start with my favourite character of all tjme; tim drake.

obvisouly i’ve already done a suuuuper long analysis of his actual character which you can read here, but i want to do a more theoretical one that’s not necessarily wholly “canonical” but still in character.

a lot of this is also canon/inspired by canon - however, these are still my headcanons.

- to start off with: fuck the uwu-fication of tim drake. he’s a badass who happens to also appear soft sometimes but that does not equal wimp. you can have anxiety and depression and not be a an uwu baby.

- absolutely obsessed with star wars.

- has forced everyone to individually binge the series with him at least once.

- but also love island (he won’t watch the winter season tho) and the real housewives are definitely his guilty pleasures.

- overworks himself on such little sleep that his body giving up and him fainting is a scarily regular occurrence.

- but it’s not for want of trying. oh no. forgot to eat because he was distracted so his limbs are barley holding him up when he runs? ignores it. keeps going.

- he stands up too quickly, collapses, and gets right up and walks it off like he wasn’t just on the floor (p.e teachers would love him).

- absolutely insane martial artist -which people (like most things he can do/does) completely overlook or just don’t care about. this is also canon btw.

- my boy’s only scraping average height -he’s gotta have something to back him up that’s doesn’t rely on being massive n buff.

- he can easily knock anyone to the ground in a second, yet because of his small build and mmmm relatively unhealthy state, it goes unnoticed and sometimes unused -depending on the situation’s needs.

- people always overlook him because of his public persona (and in real life online it’s usually because of uwu tim), but he would be so cruel sometimes.

- seriously -please remember and use his pettiness!

- like he’d punch jason out cold for picking up his stuff and holding it over his head… put itching powder in dick’s boxers and bed for hiding the cases he was working on… roofy damian’s nightly hot chocolate so he’d miss family movie night because damian was pissing him off… true slytherin.

- but just like a lot of the things he does, it goes unnoticed/un-delt-with most of the time so he gets away with it. middle child tings.

- not to mention he literally stalked batman and would run around solving murders and dropping off the evidence to gordon before even being a robin.

- he was on the CIA’s watch list for crying out loud!

- doesn’t break the unassuming facade often, but if he went off the deep end, he’d be gone, and wouldn’t stop until he’s satisfied -or restrained (but that would be near impossible).

- scarily persuasive -some would say manipulative, i would say ambitious. i mean he did wiggle his way into the position of robin with sheer willpower.

- i think one of the reasons i love tim so much and am so fascinated by him is because of his capacity to be a villain so easily if he wanted.

- the guy has considered murder way too often.

- clint barton’s “i could do it!... no one would know!... but i won’t” quip about quicksilver is literally tim’s relationship with villiany.

- like if he decided one day to turn on everyone… in an instant he has control of a multimillion dollar company, can easily gain control the police, has dirt on every single person, and access to anything he decides he wants: and yet he chooses to do good.

- remember -he chose to be a hero. and he repeats this fact a lot.

- he could easily have the world on their knees, and yet people still decide to fuck with him because of their naivety.

- villain tim would be terrifying.

- his childhood and a openly loving and attentive family setting was stolen from him. he was always made out to be “mature for his age” and “quiet and sensible” when in reality he was just neglected and bored.

- being a gifted child always comes with its downfalls. like being so unstimulated by his schooling and classmates that he acts out a little bit out of boredom and a craving for attention from his parents; not to mention the social rejection because he’s too far past his peer's antics.

- he’d be super socially unaware for his age group as a child (kind of like damian i guess). being an only child surrounded by adults (yet forever alone and isolated) would’ve prevented him from ever connecting with fellow kids and their interests.

- (anyone else relate to not ever finding kiddy humour funny in primary school?)

- so now he likes doing a lot of random “childish” things like skating down the halls in the manor, having a gamer chair as his office chair, playing his nintendo switch in his wayne ent. office with his feet rested on the desk when he’s bored, having bento box lunches filled with sugary cereal and roll-ups, having a mini fridge in his office exclusively filled with yakults, iced coffee cartons and redbull, being fully versed in gen z lingo (which he uses correctly don’t worry) that he uses to talk to people he works with and interacts with at galas etc etc.

- likes to leave little notes in library books for the next person to find; often mildly threatening like “i know what you did”, for no other reason other than to have a little gremlin cackle to himself when he thinks about it.

- definitely has nearsightedness, though he hardly ever wears his glasses “because they’re impractical and contacts are torture devices” (bruce practically has to strap him down to get the camera contacts in for patrol).

- when he’s not drinking coffee, he’s chewing gum or mints to counteract the coffee.

- ambidextrous, but favours his left hand meaning his already inconceivably messy quick notes are also smudged by his hand.

- hands are always cold and numb (leading everyone to believe he probably has rayynaud’s syndrome).

- he gets really nervous and tries to avoid people being able to touch his hands, like when they’re handing something to him, or makes sure handshakes are firm and quick -but still respectful- etc (but he loves hand holding, he just worries no one would want to).

- really good at taking in information and his surroundings quickly.

- often points things out to people that would otherwise go unnoticed like “your eyes look really pretty today” or “your freckles have darkened from the sun” or “they ordered two sugars with their coffee… they always order three” etc.

- he doesn’t constantly say the things he’s thinking, but they come out a lot more when he’s losing his filter from fatigue.

- he’s always apologising offhandedly for pointing out things (more annoyed at himself than anything) bc he thinks they’ll think he’s weird or become uncomfortable.

- tim is allergic to almost all nuts except for almonds (wog runs through my veins, i refuse to believe he can’t eat almonds).

- he’s not like epipen allergic, all he needs is some cetirizine.

- bc of this “relatively low risk” (as he would say), if he accidentally eats a nut he’ll usually just not tell anyone while his throat is closing over and his mouth feels like it’s been attacked by mosquitoes.

- he’ll just silently slip away to buy some cetirizine or get some from his pocket/bag.

- this sweet old lady at a charity bake sale once offered tim to try a free slice of her baklava, which of course, has walnuts in it.

- and he was too anxious to refuse so he took it and finished the whole thing in front of her.

- it took him about 20 minutes and to the point where he was crying and his lips looked like they had fillers that he whispered to bruce he was having a reaction.

- bruce was hysterical.

- like- national news “funny internet clip report” hysterical.

- he always carries cetirizine on him now just in case tim does that again.

okay so weird tangent but THIS had me wondering if cats are colorblind, since i was wondering if they would see the colors of their hair differently. Which apparently cats have vision comparable to humans who are red-green color blind, meaning they see blues and yellows best. Which is to say I have NO idea if Charles and Edwin's hair would look more or less similar with that colorblindness in mind. But this popped into my brain the idea that, is the Cat King colorblind?? I know Dunsmore said he's dressed in more goldish hues to represent his villiany like the Night Nurse and Esther. But this makes me actually appreciate the fact that he IS dressed in colors he could see better. Like it was clearly not intentional but in an objective way it makes sense for him in the STORY. Like of COURSE he would wear more yellowy-gold colors because he can actually SEE them. I need to analyze his outfits more now.

To answer the hair color question though I did more googling and apparently cats vision range is just like kinda muted for most colors and they have less cones than rods in their eyes so they really don't see reds and pinks or oranges well and they appear more brown, or greenish. Sooo maybe they struggle seeing the difference between their dark hair colors?? I'm really not sure. Idk ANYTHING about what undertones dark brown and nearly black hair have and idk if the undertones affect what different visions are capable of seeing. This is too complicated for a random curiosity about what's very likely just a word choice error

i have to point out something that's a really silly mistake/continuity error in ep03! the cats that are watching edwin talk about charles and crystal, and one of them says "do you think the girl and the dark-haired one are gonna hook up?" we all know she's referring to charles, but he and edwin are both dark-haired, so that doesn't actually make sense as a descriptor lmfao

I'm just scrolling through my dashboard and keep seeing these ads about a villainess who's despised by her husband and son, then it got me thinking; most villains are either divorced, still married but rarely in contact with their family or intensely lonely and filled with hatred

AND THEN THIS IDEA ARRIVED

The batkids stopping citizens from becoming villains. You cannot convince me otherwise that Bruce has planted a bug in all of the security systems that WE sells which allows him to listen in (not spy) on the citizens of Gotham, and while Bruce doesn't abuse this bug, his kids do. So while Bruce isn't on patrol and sometimes wonder why a few of his kids vanish into the night when there's no patrol for that night, you can bet your ass that Dick and Jason are out as Nightwing and Red Hood, talking to a citizen who shows severe signs of turning to villiany.

Sure, the batkids are also the guardian angels of Gotham who prevent a lot of suicide attempts but they prevent a lot more citizens from being corrupted by simply being there for them. Hell, I can see Robin and Red Robin convincing someone to go out and hopefully find someone. Now imagine the reaction of Bruce when he finally finds out, he wouldn't even hesitate to get emotional because his kids are doing what he wish he could've done and he is PROUD of them. Like intense proudness of his kids to the point where even Red Hood would go 'ayo who the fuck is this happy man and where is Bruce?'

adding in a few of my own thoughts, hope you don’t mind op!

I really like this post because mental health is SUCH a big theme in OT2, possibly the biggest theme. I think the the “dawn” is a metaphor for the idea that things can get better, that one can overcome depression and trauma and start living a better life. Any therapist or self-help book will mention how mental health has highs and lows, and some days and even years will be extremely hard (the “endless” night), but that doesn’t mean it can’t get better again (the dawn).

OP talked about how the Oboro, Ori, and Trousseau have fallen to such a low points that they can’t hope for things to get better (and Tanzy has become obsessively dependent on another as a way of coping). But I think even the villains who aren’t part of the OCTOPATH clique (Roque, Dolcinaea, Kaldena, Mugen, and Ochette’s final boss) have mental health struggles at the center of their villiany.

Kaldena, like Harvey, is driven to villainy by hatred. But rather than envy, her hatred stems from a place of fear (of the Moonshade Order) and betrayal (by the Sacred Flame). She was clearly traumatized by losing her family and community as a child, and I think her obsession with revenge is a form of perceived self-protection. In the same way Temenos seeks to reveal lies as a way of protecting himself when he couldn’t protect his loved ones, Kaldena seeks to destroy the people who hurt her loved ones as a way of protecting herself.

Roque and Mugen both look on the surface like typical rich privileged men who commit acts of villainy to keep and expand their power. But given that they have lived in very similar situations to Partitio and Hikari respectively, I think it’s more complicated than that. There’s no way Roque could have started out rich, meaning he had to deal with the same kind of poverty Partitio did at some point in his life. Mugen, like Hikari, was raised in a war-torn country while having to deal with the Ku bloodline curse, meaning he likely experienced a lot of the childhood trauma his brother did. The reason these two men ended up differently from their respective travelers is because they caved to the social pressures telling them they were weak and useless unless they took from others, rather than finding support in loving family and friends. Capitalism shames or destroys everyone who isn’t wealthy, and Ku’s culture shames or destroys everyone without military prowess. I think it’s clear that Roque, at least, has been hurt by those social pressures given that he changes for the better when Partitio makes it clear that he values Roque as a person.

Dolcinaea likely experienced something similar, as she grew up poor and ended up as an extremely successful, extremely arrogant tyrant with no regard for her humble origins. Unlike Roque and Mugen, I do think that she harbors a significant amount of guilt at the time of the story. She befriends Veronica and inspires her to be her own person, rather than going along with the whims of society, and more tellingly, she intentionally gives Agnea the opportunity to publicly show her up. Although she has become a spoiled, callous villain, she realizes that’s not truly what she wants, and when she sees her old mentor Cuani in Agnea, she arranges for her own empire to be taken down.

I think even Ochette’s final boss has a similar struggle of being shunned by society, but instead of seeking to become what it admires, they embrace being what it despises. Based on the themes of Ochette’s path and the sentiment expressed by the Creatures of Legend, I’d guess that both Akalā and Mahina viewed being accepted by Ochette as their only chance at having a community. They’re noted to both be very rare, meaning they’d always be an outcast. If they couldn’t impress and be useful to the dominant society, they were nothing more than a monster, either a threat to be purged or goods to be harvested. Being rejected by their last hope was distressing enough that the “darkness” (overwhelming despair) overcame them.

I think part of why I like Oboro is because I think of some of the stuff in OT2 as like "depiction of mental illness on fantasy steroids".

In real life, most people who are depressed aren't going to hurt anyone else (the unfortunate possibility of themselves on the table). They might hurt their relationships with others, though, because part of depression is your brain being stuck on only the negative. Oboro gets to raise his adoptive sister and be friends with a kind prince? That's because he's working for the prince's father who, going by Ori's journal fragments, went a LONG time ignoring any strategies Oboro proposed to avoid bloodshed in war and went the bloody way regardless. This same man is ultimately responsible for both Oboro and Ori being orphans, and Oboro didn't exactly enter his service freely. This man acts like this because his bloodline is cursed, which Oboro knows very well the prince has a second, crueler personality because of the curse too, and seems convinced that means eventually the prince will turn out the same way as his father.

He doesn't, but you know, even master strategists can ignore possibilities because of cognitive distortions.

Like this is the same setting where a book convinces a guy who seemed to be decent if extremely hard on himself "you can't save everyone from illness" means "you have to kill everyone so they don't suffer". Same book convinces another person that living is pointless too. Oboro doesn't find anything particularly noteworthy about the book...because he's already realized "the truths it laid bare on my own"... but I think it's noteworthy that even he, by his own account, "played my role" of "dutiful subject" until the day the man (I assume Claude) approached him with the book. Basically: Oboro was depressed and traumatized enough that if the book did change his thinking in any way, it did not register. But while his letter is somewhat ambiguous about when exactly the plan started, the implication seems to be the planning started then, either because he now had an accomplice in the man and/or because the book did nudge his thinking, even if it didn't register to him. (Which again, depression: sometimes you don't realize you're getting worse until it's suddenly like "whoa. wait, at one point in my life I did have more hope, but it feels like I might as well have been a different person then".) We don't have an account of a "normal" person reading the book and staying normal afterward (Castti might have read the book, because the opportunity was there, but there isn't anything saying she did) so it's...hm. That book definitely isn't doing anyone's mental state favors, huh.

Basically take the humans of the OCTOPATH villains: Oboro, Tanzy, Ori, Petrichor, Trousseau, Harvey. Petrichor is essentially a noncharacter, we never interact with her directly and she has very little description even in the infodumping journal fragments. Harvey, well, kind of seems to just be envy to the point of extreme evil. But I'd argue Oboro, Tanzy, Ori, and Trousseau all had depression even before reading the Book of Night (and iirc it's not even certain if Ori actually read the book or not; she's in close enough proximity it seems likely she did at some point, but it's not described). There are definitely other human issues at play behind the troubles in OT2, such as, whatever the hell Harvey's deal is, and while Roque is excluded from the OCTOPATH acronym clique (which seems a bit arbitrary to me given how far on the periphery Tanzy and Trousseau are, but yeah, sure, he's not in the conspiracy), greed certainly isn't helping anyone, but so much of the human side of Vide being brought back seems to be despair and trauma and depression being put on fantasy steroids. And in that context everything Oboro does is still terrible and wrong. But like I get how he screwed up that badly. (And still. Poor Hikari. AU where Hikari read the book as well everyone has the worst time ever)

The Moment They Fell

Summary: Phantom au Virgil fell in love with Roman at some point… so when was it? This writing shows plenty of times that they possibly fell in love with him.

A/N: this is my and @shapa-likes-art’s shared au, the Phantom au! Roman is a villain and Virgil is a journalist who falls for him. Virgil also uses they/them pronouns in this au! - I quite literally thought of this and couldn’t stop myself from writing this and wrote and edited it all in like… an hour or so. I was just so inspired haha. Anyways, enjoy!!

When did Virgil fall for Roman? Well… there’s not one particular moment that anyone can pinpoint. It was like a bunch of different moments that made up their love for him in the end. So what was the first time they were in love with him?

Maybe it started in college. Their eyes fixed on their laptop screen as a new villain appeared in Cardenia, only 40 minutes away from their college dorm. The Phantom. He was strong. So unbelievably strong. And he had tech that would put any genius technician to shame. He was smart and snarky and intimidating. He made a shiver run down Virgil’s spine at the way he spoke and the crazed but calculated movements he was making.

Or maybe it started when they got fired from their first journalism job and they went full time on their blog and researched nothing but the Phantom day and night. Maybe it was analyzing his every move and slowly realizing that this man was the smartest and most calculated person they had ever had the pleasure of laying their eyes on.

But back then he was just a fantasy. More of a celebrity crush. They loved him in the same way they loved the idea of the world ending. He intrigued them, more than anything. He danced across their mind and they wondered what it would be like to meet him, but it was a fantasy. He was a mystery. He was dangerous, but Virgil knew he would be gorgeous and impressive, much like they thought of the end of the world.

So maybe it was when they were interviewed by billionaire CEO Roman Prince for their job at Kingdom Ent. Maybe it was the way he asked them about their theories and listened to them rant about theories that were already proven false, but they hadn’t written about yet. Maybe it was the fact that, no matter how hard they tried, he was the one person who had ever been able to avoid their analytical eye. He was the one and only person to ever confuse Virgil. He was the one person that Virgil couldn’t read the moment they laid eyes on him. It took more than that to read Roman Prince. And that made Virgil more intrigued in him than they had ever been in anyone else.

But he was just a charmer back then. Sure, they flirted with him, but they definitely wouldn’t say they were in love with him. They were simply scoping him out. They were trying to read him. Sure, he was attractive as any man that Virgil had ever met, but he was just that at first.

Maybe the moment Virgil fell was when they realized how fucking smart Roman was. Maybe it was when Roman showed off his genius casually and Virgil realized that they were more similar than they had thought before. When they realized that Roman wasn’t just some golden child rich boy who got anything he wanted and was stuck up.

Maybe it was when Virgil first heard Roman Prince use the voice of the Phantom in casual conversation. Maybe it was moments later when Virgil realized the tone in his voice from the way it sent shivers down their spine and the way that their heart skipped a beat. Maybe it was when they had gone home and connected all of the evidence and knew that Roman was the Phantom. Maybe it was when he showed up at their apartment to threaten them and they knew he could kill them in that moment, but they didn’t care.

But, no… it wasn’t that either….

So when was it?

Was it when they first made out?

Or perhaps their first date.

Or their second, third, or fourth.

Maybe it was when Roman and Virgil moved in together and they got to spend every waking moment with each other from work to home…

Maybe it was when the simple touch of Roman made Virgil’s stomach flutter with butterflies and made their heart race.

Maybe it was when they noticed just how gentle and caring Roman was and they realized just how happy that made them feel.

Maybe… maybe…

It was all of that. All of the moments that they had seen or known of Roman and the Phantom… they all added up to the love that Virgil developed for Roman. It was all of the firsts, seconds, and so on. It was the soft touches. It was the teasing. It was the jokes. It was the kisses. It was the caring. It was…

It was Roman. All of Roman. All of the time.

They loved everything about him. No matter what time of day or what season or what emotions they were going through. They loved everything about him.

So when did they fall so madly in love with him?

They couldn’t tell exactly, but they now knew when they first realized that they were in love with him.

It was simple. It was simply when they were sitting in their office before they even started dating. They sat there as the work day started to near a close, and as they worked, they started to feel their heart race and a smile creep it’s way onto their face simply from the thought of Roman coming into their office and convincing them to stop working and go home and get some sleep. When they heard footsteps down the hall and then got upset when they realized it wasn’t Roman’s footsteps coming to greet them. When they realized they wanted him around them all of the time. When they were willing to not be working so much to be able to see Roman at whatever time they could…

Loki and the box he is put in

Awful title, I know but please bear with me. My mind isn't giving me any other idea rn ☺️☺️.

Anyways, so I was rewatching some scenes of the Loki series again (while I still have to finish Tlat, start she hulk and see werewolf by night, but well my priorities 🤷‍♀️), actually the Lamentis scene and I realised something.

Ok, so Loki has always been pushed into a box. And his biggest tragedy is that he actually turned into what the box expected or believed him to be, which further strengthened the box around him, making it tougher for him to break free (lots of box, I know. Can't think of a better word. Stereotype, maybe idk). And that ultimately ends up trapping him in a vicious loop where he was always mistreated and looked with a suspicious eye, and this in part influences his heel turn in Thor. And then his heel turn and descent into villiany further strengthened everyone's belief that Loki was a bad person which made it difficult for him to change.

And another interesting thing is that while who he became was in part influenced by the box, the box was also in part influenced by his own behaviour. So, in TDW everyone believed Loki would backstab Thor and if we think about it, Thor didn't leave him with much options anyways, so he fooled thor and overtook the throne as odin, but everyone believed Loki would backstab because he did exactly that in Thor. Which I feel made the reunion between the brothers tougher in TDW coz Thor didn't fully trust Loki and because of that Loki couldn't reconcile but Thor wasn't trusting because Loki broke his trust before. Like Thor said in Ragnarok, he was predictable.

And this thing continues in the series. Loki is again put in a box, this time by a trans temporal bureaucracy who decided that he was nothing more than a villian, or Sif who thought he will always be alone or Sylvie who thought that they were always destined to lose, or classic loki who thought he was supposed to play only one part, the god of outcasts. Once again, the boxes to fit him in were there. A villian, a loser, an outcast destined to be alone. And in normal conditions, we could have seen Loki actually falling in and turning into exactly these things, molding himself into the box he was put in, turning into who everyone believed he would be.

But in the series, he literally got to see that box in a metaphysical way. And that with the realisation that he was never in control, that all this while he like countless others was a puppet forced to play a part broke Loki out of his habits. And in the series, we actively see Loki breaking out of the box and choosing to be different. Some better, some good.

And the beauty of the series is that this change is proactive, not reactive. In his book, "the 7 habits of highly effective people", Stephen Covey talks about reactive and proactive people. And the difference is in a nutshell that reactive people's actions are dictated by what happens to them, they just react to it. And while we are all reactive in some way or the other, proactive people choose what the path they go. How they act isn't dictated by their situation, but by their choice. This shifts their locus of control from external to internal. So they have a greater say on how they behave.

And in the series, the change is proactive. Compare this to Loki's face turn in Ragnarok. He realises Thor loved him, he realised his father loved him and in the end he comes back to help Thor. He changes but because his circumstances change. His changed perspective about Thor and his family aids his change.

In the series however, he doesn't change because the circumstances around him changes. He actively decides to change because he wants to change his situation, not because his situation changes. Like in episode 4, he decides he doesn't want to be alone and actively seeks her out. All the while, he isn't sure of what she feels. Ideally, he should have opened himself up and started trusting others because he was surrounded by people who showed him they cared for him and he let his guard down, and this he was no longer alone.

But instead, in the series, he chose to be vulnerable and let his guard down in front of people because he cared for them and didn't want to be alone. In short he didn't change after the box changed but rather he actively chooses to change to break out of the box.

So, Loki's box dictates he will be alone because he doesn't let himself open up to another person because he is scared of rejection. And instead of his change being inspired by the fact that he meets someone who cares for him, his change is inspired by the fact that he cares for her and he doesn't want to be alone.

In the here and now, the galaxy survives, with powerful factions fighting for territory. Bounty hunters and smugglers roam the skies more freely than ever. Those seeking out the Sith and the Jedi often hit a dead end, as they are only mentioned in drunken tales told in bars or whispers from old timers in the night. In decades past, the Sith sought power through the dark side of the Force, and the Jedi used the light side of the Force to bring peace to the galaxy. But now all the Sith and Jedi have been wiped out from a galaxy that long ago moved on without them.

… Or have they?

It would seem the Sith and the Jedi faded into legend and faint memory. But 56 years later, the core territories governments continue to govern the galaxy and protect the core and inner core galaxies. The mid and Outer-rim galaxies must fend for themselves, some planets having to protect and govern themselves. It’s an open world out there, where good, honest citizens don’t stand much of a chance, and criminal factions couldn’t be happier, with all these planets and credits for the taking.

The galaxy is a dangerous place, but also a mysterious one. This open world RP would be the perfect place for bounty hunters, smugglers, or crime lords looking to make their fortune, a young force user who’s just come into their power, or perhaps an experienced light user that wants to bring peace or a dark user that wants to bring the galaxy to its knees. All species, aliens, force sensitive, blaster-slinging, or adventurous characters welcome. We can’t wait to meet your characters and see where they take this story next.

So I was looking through the hashtag for the villian outfits in this au (for future fanart purposes) and i suddenly came across the idea that another anon had of the villians using their blot markings as masks. But what if those are implemented in like a "Megamind's Black Mamba moment"? Like they found THE plan, THE moment that will change it all. The one crime that will put them in the Hall of Villiany, of sorts.

(Also I like to imagine its a prerequisite from the corporation. That to be in the big leagues you have to have style in your final moment. That's what Crowley did and look at him! He's fabulous)

Though since a few of our supervillains already have designs that invoke their overblots, I’ll combine this proposal with another one and raise you: whatever plan they come up with for their Black Mamba moment, it always involves something that resembles the phantoms from their blot.

Evil super contraption, giant death mecha, new super suit, unleashed abomination of science, what have you, as the driving force behind the supervillains’ plans for city and eventually world domination, it’s design is naturally going to embody the malice behind it.

And yes, that’s a huge factor in who Crowley has accepted into the Night Raven Corporation and League of Supervillains! He can’t be having anyone drab or boring after all!

Not when so much success in villainy has come from presentation!
