Maisie shouldn’t have been here. She was so close to freedom when she had been caught again and her cousin had thrown her into these cells. She knew the only reason she was alive was because of her position as the youngest daughter of the last king but Maisie never could have thought that would mean that someone that she had trusted to get her out of here would sell her out. Hearing someone else come down and say her name she saw another man and Maisie could only roll her eyes as she heard him tell the guards to go away. “I’m not going to open up to you and tell you everything. The last person I trusted is the reason I’m in here.”

"Wow...pure shit, geeze," the princess said as she took the cup from the barkeep before looking at the other who had bought her the drink. "Wait-" she said finishing it off and making a face, "Nope- still awful."

Perhaps she was being overly eager, balancing nearly twelve books in her arms while she busied herself searching for another to add to the collection. She hadn’t been to the bookstore in weeks and the newest stock of books was far too plentiful to only choose one. Or two. Or three. In truth, she would consider it a crime if she were to return home with any less than a dozen new volumes, so she didn’t intend to put any of the ones she’d drawn back. Her arms, however, were more than happy to relieve themselves of the weight and before she could shift her weight enough to catch her balance, the stack of books fell to the ground with an awful clatter. Discouraged but far from defeated, Pen knelt down to begin collecting her scattered cluster of tomes. As she reached for one of the heftier publications, all she could do was hope no one had seen her make such a cake of herself.

open to: m/f/nb ! muse: arabella blydon plot: after three unsuccessful seasons, belle has all but given up on trying to find a love match and is desperate to marry and move on with her life. thus, she has hatched the plan to convince y/m to marry her, believing it will benefit the both of them. whether they like one another or not is up to you!

“I’d like to make a proposal.” Belle said, planting her hands on her hips. It had been bold enough of her to approach the other in the first place, but even more brash and daring to suggest such a preposterous idea. “I propose that we get married, that way both of us can be done with it and move on with our lives. My parents will get off my back about marriage and you can avoid the ravenous bunch of ladies vouching for your hand. We can figure out the... heir situation at a later date. What do you say?”

It was her day off and, although Anne wanted nothing more but to crawl into bed and rest the hours away, she had errands that needed to be run before she could commit herself to an evening of leisure. She had managed to finish most of her shopping in the early morning hours, before the streets got too clustered with people, but she still had a few more shops to stop in before she was free to return home. But before she could set her sights on the book shop, her stomach began to rumble. Anne sighed, resting her hand over her stomach, trying to coo the rumbling away like a noisy child, but it was no use. If she were to finish her errands thoroughly, she’d need the fuel to keep going—especially since she’d be walking back to the Pleinsworth estate when she was through. Turning into the nearest tavern, Anne hoped to grab something quick and head back out into the morning air, but as soon as she began to open the door, she collided with another and nearly toppled to the ground.

The weeks had been long and arduous and Endora was sure that things were never going to end. She’d been pulled out of the castle the night before the coup and had been moving ever since. It had seemed okay but the last fortnight she had been on her own, her travelling companion had been killed in an attack by bandits and now she just had to figure out how to do this. She had heard the whispers that there were pirates in town and she needed to cross lands. There were rumours that another King would be willing to fight against her cousin and it would be somewhere safe for her.

The problem now was finding someone willing to take her across the seas. A problem that she might be able to work with, catching sight of the man as soon as she entered the inn. It was clear that he was someone that she was looking for and the air about him meant that he couldn’t be mistaken for less than the captain. Still he was arguing with the innkeeper who was saying something about his kind not being welcome to stay there. And so she decided to help in some way, sliding alongside him and speaking. “Darling, do you have the room yet?” Someone who looked like her wouldn’t be with a pirate meaning that he couldn’t have been one and she smiled softly as the innkeeper looked between them both before grumbling something and giving them two keys to a room and directing them upstairs. As soon as they were out of earshot Endora turned to the man and smiled, “You’re welcome.”
