first art post of the new year!!! granted, i don't share my art here that much anyway, but– shhh.

hehehehhhooo,, here's something i've been working on for 'bout a month,, albeit not consecutively– took a few,, very very long breaks in between working on this,, but i managed to finish it in the end! am i satisfied with it? .......ehhhh? not completely, but if this took any longer, it might not have seen the light of day, so like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

anyway,, made a little poster for my favorite fic, tommyinnit's services for villains, vigilantes, and various other vagabonds, by @scorpionoesit!!! it's really really good,,, and i've always wanted to make more art for it,, so i decided– poster! at least,, that's what it's mean to resemble,,, dkdmkdmdkd.

i will freely admit,, i'm... not the biggest fan of the fan-made logo i tried to design for it,, feels a bit boring, and could definitely have used a bit more pizazz, something to make feel more like the fic itself(what does that mean? you figure that out),,,, but– again, steam was running low,, dkdnksjs. graphic design is my passion. i do also have other complaints, but i'm afraid i already punched my one-use self-critique card,, oh well,,, dkdnkxjdkd.

regardless,, even with the flaws only i can really see,, this still turned out pretty okay!! hope you enjoy it, mx. scorpio and mx. alibi!!! and i hope everyone else has a wonderful new year!!!!

you know, jack's talking rn about how he kind of logged back onto the dsmp as a joke but unexpectedly got hit with a wave of nostalgia for all the time he spent on the server and ykw. the thing that surprised me the most with dream smp's ending is that a lot of the content creators that i felt like really enjoyed the roleplaying never did anything like that again. jack is one of them, but fundy was incorporating his coding into the lore and during the l'manburg era especially seemed really invested in his character. schlatt also seemed to get really into it when he was playing the big bad villain. and fucking karl jacobs? with tftsmp??? it was always kind of wild to me that more of them didnt end up joining other similar projects

HOW INTERESTING YOU SAY THIS ANON.............when i started thinking about identity reveals tommy Was in fact the first one (kind of.)

concept i had was that after niki starts hitting some rough times (post breakup......) tommy sees this and in a well-meaning but extremely misguided attempt to make her feel better about something, lets her in on a little secret - wilbur's alive! he just faked his death. he's okay, actually. through a series of mishaps and missing your brother, tommy found out a little while after it happened. but niki and wilbur were such good friends, and he knows niki is still really sad about wilbur's death, so he'll tell her.

niki already knew this actually because she (in alter ego form) recognised wilbur in a run-in with some villains, wilbur's new identity included. and she is so fucking mad that tommy knew, for months, and he didn't fucking say anything. (and that wilbur actually bothered to tell him. were the rest of them acceptable targets to hurt?)

and niki lashes out at tommy and like. really fuckin hurts him. for some reason my brain keeps going "she pushes him off a roof" which a. is not really a nuke-adjacent activity and b. why would they be on a roof?? but like that vibe. no superpowers, none of that. just niki. it hits her a second later but it's too late - tommy is genuinely badly injured and niki has to slip into her vigilante form to attract help. tommy sees it happen, and he's this internal mess of angry-guilty-betrayed-regretful but he keeps her secret.

i'm not sure if tommy would be the first (i was trying to suss out a timeline....i'm not sure if wilbur finds out before this and it's just more gasoline into the swill of niki's mental state at the time, because she is so pissed off and unable to channel that feeling anywhere when it happens) but he is for sure the first "civilian" who finds out.

thinking about c!dream earlier on in the server just makes me sad man. like, c!dream has never been a perfect character. he's always been flawed, always been a bit of an asshole, always had control issues. but also he knew that. he tried to work on that. he and tommy were friends, despite being flawed people with their own issues that would bump into conflicts because of the ways that they differed. c!dream tried, god, he tried; he wasn't even on the server, when the drug van happened, and walked into a place with someone who was practically a stranger to him building a wall and calling for war and having turned half the people dream knew against him, apparently, for no reason that he could've known at the time, and he had looked straight at tommy and tubbo and asked if that was what they really wanted when wilbur told them that there was no such thing as dual citizenship. he tells tommy when he has to sell a disc for spirit's leather even though tommy had surrendered the discs to him at the end of the revolution because he knows it'll matter to him. he and tommy truce, multiple times, and c!dream gets tangled into conflicts that literally don't involve him repeatedly and gets targeted Because He's Dream repeatedly and he plays along with that trivia contest and he gives gifts to fundy and tommy after terrorizing them a little for fun and he plays along with the dreamon thing and he keeps getting pulled into fights that weren't his but tries to make them a little more fair when they get him involved. he fucks around with tommy and they have fun, they're friends, and when he and wilbur look like they're in danger dream is one of the first to find them and lend them real, practical, valuable aid. he calls himself "Big D" in that book and he tells the man that wrote him as a tyrant that he doesn't want to be a villain in the story anymore. he asks tommy if he's okay, and watches that kid's back when he walks alone and unarmed into manberg, and fights with him at the battle of the lake and all of that is thrown back in his face as being a lie. half the intial community structures that exist were built by him; the community house, the nether portal and hub, the prime path. during a time where every other piece of leverage got burned or killed (rip the casualties of the pet war), dream was kind of known for being one that could be fairly traded with, that would minimize permanent damage. the kills in the final control room were originally to strip lmanburg of their gear, which he had kept in a chest so it could be returned to them after the war.

like no c!dream isn't perfect at the beginning of the server. yes he's kind of a jerk sometimes, kind of an asshole sometimes, kind of neurotic most of the time. but god dammit like c!dream does try to mitigate the worst of his control issues, when they flare up early on; the initial disc war ends with tommy getting his discs back as well as a stack of diamonds, in exchange for a netherite chestplate. he's a flawed character and he's still someone pretty friendly on the whole to most of the server, he's also kind of just known for being a little weird. he gives gifts randomly. he fixed creeper holes, and houses, and went along with bits. like whatever im a c!drolo c!dream woobifier and i admit it lol but for as much evil as he ends up doing, pretty damn consistently early on, he's . friendly? kind? funny? helpful? their neighbor. their friend. c!dream isn't just some stranger that flew off the handle; he's someone they knew and lived with who had his actions taken in bad faith because the goddamn story said so and kept fucking trying anyway until he believed the lie too. like he was just a guy!! a guy they knew and lived with!!! like my god

I want to rant about them. Buckle in, this is a long rant.

I want to just say that I love TNT Duo. Just as a whole. In whatever form they take. These stupid little men and their stupid little rivalries and tension.

I am not a "DSMP" fan in most senses of the term. I never really got into the story all that much (though the lore was cool and more well thought out than most people give it credit for) and there wasn't much to really keep me interested. But these two characters. These two.

I love them. I love how Wilbur is emotionally unstable even on his best days and his entire arc of going from a leader that others looked up to slowly devolved into a man driven mad by his own legacy. Writing Arsonist's Waltz made me really take a long look at his character and how I wanted to write him in that fic and it really made me think about how young the character must've been when he died and how tragic that is. I think about him a lot. He's my favorite blorbo to torture for a reason he's the perfect character for tormenting really. And it's so easy to write him with a strained relationship with his family, seeing how Phil did the bare minimum for him and his mother is either a Fridge or The Goddess of Death depending on how you interpret the lore because personally I don't see either as being wrong. Or him being married to a fish (Sally go brrrrr). Or canonically being the one to give birth to Fundy. And the idea that he was usually such a doting father but the second Fundy needed him most he was just gone and the complications that brings to their relationship. I love him and how it's so easy to either make him just a guy or some eldritch FUCK. I can make him BIRD. I can make him FREAKY and INHUMAN and I love to torment him.

And then Quackity. Fuck let me talk about Quackity. This is the BEST EXAMPLE of a FALLEN HERO character I have EVER SEEN in my LIFE. And if you know me you know I am WEAK for Fallen Hero shit.

This FUCKER went from being one of the most goofy, joking, just fucking around and having a good time person, to one of the most well thought out and interesting character arcs in the ENTIRE SMP if you ask me. This man went VILLAIN no matter how you want to slice it and that idea of someone who GENIUNELY tried to see the BEST in others deciding "fuck it, I've had enough of this" is just. The best kind of Fallen Hero to me. I love his entire casino theme. Gambling is one of my favorite aesthetics, and I love how when I came into this fandom despite the overwhelming amount of Duck Q stuff I found I managed to find ONE PERSON who made SHRIKE QUACKITY and it was SO PERFECT FOR HIM! Like there's nothing wrong with Duck Q and I recognize why that's the most common thing in the fandom because obviously the fucker's name is QUACKity and he has his whole thing with ducks but like. Shrike Q tho. The leader of the Butcher Army being a Butcher Bird. One of the most violent songbird species known for brutal kill methods and eating other birds being reflected in the man who ATE THE FUCKING HEART OF HIS EX. Like C'MON. (Yes other birds will eat other birds all the time but I'd like you to point me at another songbird species that has the absolute BALLS to attack something so much bigger than them) ((seen a video of what I think was a loggerhead shrike attacking a duck once)) (((though if you can find more aggressive songbirds like this I would LOVE to see them and learn about them))) ((((FUCK I LOVE BIRDS)))) It's perfect. I don't care. I love him. I love him and his Loggerhead/Northern Tendencies.

I love him for all the ways he didn't START violent and cruel but BECAME that way because he felt like he HAD TO. His arc is SO GOOD. The way he manipulated others he perceived as being "forgotten" like him to try and join him. I just. This man. This man. I'm going to shake him. I'm going to put him in a jar in the /affectionate way.

And then THEM TOGETHER. There is so much APPEAL to this ship in how you can write their dynamic in any way you want. From the more playful early days of the SMP where they were clearly friends and enjoyed each other's company to those stolen tense moments of Pogtopia to the eventual EVERYTHING that was LAS NEVADAS. You can write them on some of the best kind of healing arcs, with the idea that no matter what you did or who you were that you can still find love and forgiveness with the right person. You can have them heal together and learn to love again after so much tragedy. Or you can go down the route of making them ABSOLUTELY tearing each other APART and making each other WORSE. They can be absolute BASTARDS to each other but keep coming back to each other because they are the only two people on the server that have seen SO MUCH of the other person and the paths they went down.

These two characters just. Scream a level of UNDERSTANDING with each other that they wouldn't GET with other CHARACTERS.

And can I talk about how flexible they both are when it comes to AUs? I'm going to talk about them in AUs. They are FASCINATING TO ME in AUs. HEAR ME OUT OKAY!

So as someone who's been in a lot of fandoms there's a keen difference between being into a fandom for the content itself of the world, and being there for a specific character or groups of characters. I was into BNHA because of the lore of the world, not really an attachment to the characters themselves even if I did love them. Persona 5 was driven, again, by a love for the world and also the aesthetic of the game itself (and also a bit of the characters, I'll admit they changed my brain chemistry a little). Danganronpa, in contrast, was something I got into for the driving force of the characters and the murder mystery aspects. Assassination Classroom, obviously more character driven. Fairytail, also more character driven than anything else.

I got into DSMP specifically because of TNT Duo and my friend introducing me to them. But I've discovered something interesting about TNT Duo and why my hyperfixation over them has been lasting for so much longer.

Because they're easier to pry out of their world than other characters are. Which is why I was so surprised when I found so much more Canon Divergence AUs and less AUs in the sense of other universes. Like when I came to this fandom there was: No flower shop AUs, maybe a single coffee shop AU or two, not a single dragon or naga AU, and maybe one Siren AU. And the rest of it was mostly canon divergence! Which felt weird to me because these two feel so adaptive to other AUs you put them in!

While other characters feel, in some regards, tied to their original universe, these two don't feel as heavily weaved into their world. When I try to take them out it doesn't feel like I'm ripping them out and damaging them as I do. I don't feel tearing seams or fabric ripping, they just kinda...pop out. Which let's me take them and throw them into any roles I want, any AUs I want, and what I've noticed is that people do this a LOT with SBI and that they don't feel tied to the universe they originated from either. And I feel like that's in some part due to how the characters have lore from previous SMPs, previous worlds, previous experiences, and even future ones where the characters flow and adapt to fit whatever situation they're put into.

Some people might argue that I'm misrepresenting the characters in my fics or characterize them differently from the original source material, but that's because these are characters heavily formed around their experiences! Which makes them SO COOL for AUs! Because obviously the experiences are going to be different in an AU versus the source material! Making them a superhero or supervillain isn't the same experience as starting a country from the ground up! Making them a prince or king is different from elections and surviving from the land. Or dying and getting revived. Or overcorrecting into becoming a villain so nobody can ever hurt you again. AUs bring different experiences and that's why the characters are so fascinating to put in different AUs. And obviously some characteristics will carry over, but it's up to an author to decide what they carry over from the source material. Usually I carry over Wilbur being related to Phil, Techno, Tommy, Kristin, and sometimes I'll carry over Phil and Kristin's divinity which sometimes makes Wilbur an angel or demigod. Some authors usually carry over his mental instability, I like carrying over his sense of individuality. I like that he's stubborn, good at leading but not always enjoying it, yet always having the qualities for it. For Q? I like to carry over his general gambling aesthetic because I write mostly Las Nevadas Q since that's kinda who I know best out of all of Quackity's characterizations in the DSMP. Which means I write him as a manipulative little shit most of the time, who sometimes has second thoughts but usually pushes through for what he sees as the best outcome. And for their relationship usually what I carry over is this sense of tension or opposition between them. Hero/Villain, Angel/Demon, Human/Fae, Hunter/Vampire. This sense that they are on opposite sides, but not so different from each other when they look deeper than surface levels and titles.

They are such interesting characters. And I love them so much. They give me so much brainrot. So many ideas because they can just. Go anywhere I throw them!

I think I'll write more about them later. How I like to characterize them based on what I know about them from DSMP. Maybe rant more about why I think Q is definitely a shrike and that Magpie Wilbur is the only correct option. I feel like talking about them. I want to talk about them more.

so like what’s going on in your dsmp steven universe au

so. okay. i haven't actually thought of like ALL of the plot a crazy amount i literall yjust added dream today and he is like a very vital character LMFAO. but it's the same story of like. 6000 years ago a lapis (wilbur) and a pearl (tommy) led a resistance to protect earth and liberate gems. an emerald (dream) did everything in his power to stop them, even getting one of their most trusted members, eret, on his side, but blue diamond was "killed" so the rest of the diamonds (purple, green, and pink) decide to just destroy the earth. except they only Think they've destroyed the earth. so a very small sliver of the resistance, l'manburg, survives. which is wilbur, tommy, niki, and jack. they find tubbo later amethyst style (not 100% sure about this just what i've been thinking). cut to 6000 years later and wilbur has died to give life to fundy with sally. not 100% sure of the plot from there LMFAO. i have ideas for stuff with quackity, sapnap, and karl later. and dream becomes like a major villain like. jasper but more prior history with wilbur and tommy. but yeah i've literally mostly thought about wilbur, dream, and tommy's past in this au rather than like. the present actual plot LMFAO.

but yeah i mean steven universe spoilers if you care if you read my other post it was definitely spoiled but wilbur is actually blue diamond he just realized like Ohh i actually fw humans and dont want to destroy their beautiful earth... Tommy let's fuck shit up. also tommy is like his pearl that was made for him at the castle except well he wasnt really Supposed to have a pearl at the time he just kind of made one bc he wanted one and tommy is like OBVIOUSLY not the ideal of pearl he speaks without thinking and he's offcolor in some places but wilbur thinks he's awesome and they quickly become besties and brothers.

here's my tommy design i was working on, im not an artist but he has red shoulders so he is offcolor but tommy makes something to cover it up on homeworld but when they become revolutionaries tommy always lets them show and makes them a part of his l'manburg uniform.

ok when it comes to the characters of dsmp and who was well written vs who wasnt. i note that with the 'well written' characters its more that the streamer actually had a solid idea of a character they wanted to portray. like techno knew he wanted an anarchistic 'morally gray' character. schlatt knew he was a villain etcetc.

ya. and even when it comes to less major characters i think are well written it still tends to be characters who have a defined role. c!connor is a support character who offers someone willing to listen. c!fundy is someone desperate for a place in life as his own person. etc

My dream scenario for the Ratgrinders is that they end up talking through their differences and teaming up with the Bad Kids. The Bad Kids have broad practical experience, but the tradeoff is that fighting high level enemies all the time is exhausting. The Ratgrinders have deficits in their practical experience, but they’ve got energy and overpowered abilities available to help if the Bad Kids hit the end of their rope.

The real villain here is the zero-sum competitiveness baked into the school system. It shouldn’t even be about “fairness”, because we shouldn’t be making kids compete with each other to get into college! That’s 100% on the adults maintaining the system, not on the teens trying to survive within it. Even the business world is more open to win-win scenarios than schools are, it’s so miserable and unnecessary that kids are pitted against each other so early.

Genuinely, if anyone younger is reading this, so many things are just Better after school. And I liked school. It does teach a lot of important stuff, but I really do wish it wasn’t so one-size-fits-all.*

*note: this does NOT mean I’m in favor of private schools or vouchers. I went to a religious school for part of my education, and it was significantly worse than public (+ obviously even more enforcing of conformity). I think public education as a whole is really important, because otherwise parents can radically isolate their kids, or stick them in wildly unregulated, profit-driven sham schools. Some private and homeschools can do great work, but so many of the materials aimed at private/homeschooling are very VERY hardcore fundie shit. We’re talking textbooks that not only deny evolution and climate change, but are also virulently racist and extremely pro-war… like genuine apocalypse cult stuff. For me, the first priority is protecting public schools, but I’d love to see more variety flourish within that system.

a/n- hello! Been awhile huh?! Um- so a little disclaimer, this isn’t edited. So it’s pretty shit but it’s been sitting in my folder for a bit so. Also the ending is terrible so. Please go easy on me, I’m slowly getting out of my rut. Oh also it’s sirenbur!

Warnings- fluff, angst, blood, crying, kissing, wil is a lovesick fool, reader is stubborn so is Tom, also reader is way to calm with the events that occur but reader is kinda- I wrote them kinda in a self indulgent way so. Please tell me if I missed anything!

“Tommy, help.” Wilbur came rushing into the coffee shop, panting as he threw his bag on a random table and ran to the front counter where Tom was.

“What now, Wil? Need me to fix your gaping wound in a dark alleyway again?” Tommy sarcastically asked as he draped the dirty rag across his shoulder. He had bags under his eyes like always, not having been able to catch a moment of sleep with the shop and the group of middle aged villains who needed his help. Yet, his tired eyes turned into ones of fondness when he saw Wilbur’s blush and starstruck eyes. The way he was biting his lip to keep back the huge smile that would take over his face if he didn’t. “What happened?”

“So you know Y/n, right?”

“Yes I know Y/n, Wil. What’s going on?!” Tom asked once again, quickly getting impatient at the older boy in front of him.

“Ok so, earlier this morning they asked if I wanted to come to the park with them and try to help them get out of their drawing slump, obviously I said yes. And, without thinking, I asked them if they wanted to go on a date with me. Like, a date date. And they said yes, and we’re going tonight, but I have no clue what to do, I don’t even know what to wear! I’m like freaking out here and my hearts racing and I have no clue if it’s from the way they smiled once I asked or from running here but I-“

“Wil! Wilbur! Calm down, dude. Go sit down, I’ll bring you something to drink and we’ll talk. Ok?” Tom quickly said to Wil before he started having a panic attack from his thoughts. The man quickly nodded and walked over to the table with his bag on it.

Tom shook his head as a grin took over his face at the sight of his best friend. He always put up this strong outer core, not wanting an ounce of weakness to be seen. You never knew who was watching you at what point, he said. But, who knew that this one person could just, break him down, and create all that hard, tough shell into absolute goo. It amused Tom.

Tom quickly got a small cup and poured black coffee into it, knowing how Wilbur didn’t like it sweet. Walking over to the table, he gently set the cup on the table as Wilbur looked up at Tom and smiled as a thanks.

“So, you asked them out, they said yes and you’re going tonight. Where are you going?” Tom asked as he sat back against the chair.

“Um, we’re meeting at the park again and going to that family owned record shop outside of town. Said they’ve never been so, why not. And then we plan on getting something to eat. Probably chicken sandwiches from Fundy because it’s right next to it. And plus who doesn’t want a chicken sandwich made by Fundy?!” Wilbur asked as he took a sip of the bitter liquid.

“Vegans.” Tom said.

Wilbur looked up at the blonde, straight faced as he ran through ways to slap that grin off of his face. “Tom. You’re not helping! And plus they like his sandwiches. So I’m good on that part.” Wil nodded to himself as he went through the plan.

“Ok I’m sorry. Are you really worried on what to wear?” Tom asked with furrowed brows as he looked at the brunette. The sound of the bell going off when the door opened caught Toms attention. “In all honesty, just wear that. You look good, I promise. Now stop worrying about it, and start getting excited because the person you’ve been obsessed with for who knows how long said yes to a date. Hi! What can I get you guys?” Tom finished as he quickly grabbed the couple that was waiting at the counter.

Wil groaned as he downed the rest of the black coffee. Placing it on the counter for Tommy to clean and leaving with a quick “I’ll tell you how it goes” To Tom before he left.

Later that night before the shop closed, Wilbur rushed in with you clinging to his hand, placed a fiver down on the counter as Tom looked at him with wild eyes, and quickly saying a ‘Thank you!’ To the teen as he rushed out of the shop with you following close behind, both of you smiling and giggling like idiots.

Tommy guessed it went well.

“Tommy! Help!” Wil screamed as he quickly took his mask off and carried your limp body into the small coffee shop. Tom quickly came up to the front, starting to say something snarky but quickly stopping as he saw Wilbur lie you on the ground and press on your stomach.

“What the fuck happened?!” Tom said as he rushed around the counter and drop down to the floor to where you were placed. Tom quickly grabbed a towel that was just cleaned and moved Wil’s hands from your stomach. “Wil? You have to tell me what happened!”

Wil quickly shook his head as tears started to pour down his face, the realization of what was happening washing over him.

“I-I was too far away to do anything. They- fuck! This is all my fault!”

“Wil I need you to tell me what happened so I know how bad it is.” Tom said as calm as he could as he tried to soak up as much blood on the cloth as he could. And from the look of the cloth, it seemed bad.

“They were in the middle of all of it. It started when we were just out! We were getting flowers for our apartment and then Dream and all of them showed up and they-“ Wilbur’s voice trailed off as he swallowed down sobs and cries. “They fucking made me watch. Watch as they hurt them, listen to their cries and pleads- Tom they fucking stabbed them! And I had to watch.” Wil’s voice got rough with anger and hopelessness lacing every word. Wilbur wanted to kill every person in that moment but he knew he needed to get to you first. You mattered more to him than any little thing he used to complain about.

“Jesus- ok. I need you to lift their head in your lap, yeah? They’re still breathing but it’s barely there, so if they wake up during this, they need to see you first thing.” Tom said to Wil as he took off the cloth from your stomach, now drenched in blood. Wilbur nodded as he scooted up to your head and gently placed it in his lap as he ran his hands through your hair, wiping his tears when he could.

“C’mon love. You have to wake up. Please, for me.” Wil whispered to you as he lowered his forehead to rest against yours. Tears falling from his eyes as he spoke to you, half believing that you could hear him.

Tom tried his hardest to push through as he pressed his hands into your stomach again and again. Soon enough, his energy was down to the minimum and he didn’t want to risk anything. For him and Wil.

“Wil, it’s not work-“

“Keep going.”

“Wilbur-“

“Keep. Going.” Wil finally looked up to the blonde, eyes swollen and red from crying. Tom inhaled deeply and closed his eyes while he exhaled. Placing his hands back to the wound, he used all what he had left and maybe even more. Yes it would be hell to do anything for the next day or two but, it was worth it.

Soon before Tom was about to give up, Wil saw your hand move, just a little twitch but it was still something.

Grabbing it, he brought it to his lips and kissed it and rested his head against the cold palm.

“Please, love, just a little more. Please.” Wil whimpered out as he slowly saw Tom giving up. He knew he wouldn’t be able to go forever and he didn’t want him to risk himself for it. But, you being gone was something he didn’t want to imagine. And now, it was becoming reality.

“I’m sorry.” Tom whispered out in a whimper as he placed his hand over his mouth to stop sobs and tears from coming out.

After those words left Tommy’s mouth, Wil broke. Tears and sobs coming out freely, yells of anger and heartbreak filling the dead coffee shop. Wil placed his head on your chest as your limp hand was placed in his hair, silencing his cries into your red stained shirt that was once a pretty blue color he loved.

Without realizing, the hand in his hair twitched and slowly tightened its grip in the bed of the curly mess. Wil felt the once limp chest slowly go up and down in a slow rhythm that was familiar to him. Raising his head slowly, he looked over at you with wide eyes, full of shock and disbelief, and saw you with tired eyes and a small smile.

“Why are you crying?! Did you see a stray cat again?” You weakly said as Wil quickly wrapped you up his arms and cradled you into his chest.

“Holy- what- how?” Wilbur asked frantically as he cupped your face and examined you, not fully believing this was real.

“I have no clue. All I know was I woke up to you sobbing like a baby. So thank Tommy for that. Oh yeah, thanks for saving my life bud! I’ll repay you.” Tom just nodded with a smile of relief on his face as he got up and took the bloody rag from the floor, leaving you and Wil alone.

“I thought you were- well you know,”

“Dead? Gone for good? Too bad, you can’t get rid of me that easily. Especially if I haven’t even gotten those flowers yet!” You told him as slowly sat up and held your stomach that was now sore.

“You almost died and you’re still on about these flowers?!” Wil asked with an amused grin.

Leaning up, you pecked his lips with a smile and leant back just enough for you noses to touch.

“Mhm. Now c’mon! We gotta go home and get cleaned up, I’ll leave a fiver this time.”

tbh i find Interesting how everyone on the dsmp calls each other names. Either to insult, dehumanize or dismiss someone.

People call crivals tyrants, or more on cdream's case monster. People call ctommy child or a hero. Cquackity thinks of himself as a leader. Csam gets called a súper villain. All the characthers call each others names or titles either to dismiss their actions or insult them or dehumanize or hype them up very often. It's interesting seeing how titles get Said so often on the server

I mean… name calling is basically the first stage of conflict, so in a world where wars often break out it makes sense that there would be name calling especially because they are young and immature and also in more so a comedian role and that often leads to silly labels like Techno calling Dream “homeless” or a “teletubby” or Tommy calling everyone “Big (letter).”

Still I don’t think Tommy calling Dream a tyrant and Dream calling Tommy a child should be put in the same category. Tommy calls himself a “minor” and so people extend that to “child.” So I’m not sure that counts as name calling nor does hero since I believe he also calls himself that at some points. You would have a stronger case with Theseus or Tomathy. Though one is an extension of a metaphor and the other is just more silly like using Gogy. Calling Sam a super villain is more so just… true, jk lol :D he kidnapped a baby after all and I didn’t get the impression they were using it to dehumanize, dismiss or insult Sam more just get it through his thick skull that what he did was screwed up…

But yea lots of characters have been called other names like Tubbo being called “bee boy,” however not everyone on the server does call people names nor does everyone use different names in the same fashion. Some being used more so as a light hearted joke than to dismiss or dehumanize, sure often to insult but not really insult. If that makes sense.

In my mind, not all name calling is equal especially with the importance of words. To me calling Tommy a child is on a different level than calling Techno a tyrant because of the word (you could perhaps make a decent argument saying that child is used derogatorily to dismiss Tommy as well, but this is just my opinion), in the same way that calling Techno “The Blade” and calling him “Big T” is different. It’s the accusation and/or dehumanization in some of the name calling that makes them significant as well as context. Calling Quackity “flatty paddy” is more sexual harassment and even calling Fundy a “furry” is pretty offensive when I’m pretty sure he is a canonical fox and don’t even get me started on all the names they’ve used to dehumanize Dream from “ghoul” to “snake lizard thing” I’ve already talked about [here]…

Anyways I’m not sure where I’m going with this but just to say I’m not sure your specific examples are very applicable to what I think you are more so referring to. Which if I’m right is more so about how it’s interesting that there are so many labels thrown around when in real life that’s not as much of a thing, which again I think can be attributed to comedian roles, certain people being high school age/just silly boys, and certain character’s intentional blatant dehumanization tactics. It is interesting though…
