GOSSIP GIRL
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey Upper East Siders! Gossip Girl here. You're one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite and most importantly: our thrilling four. And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell. You know you love me.
XOXO, Gossip Girl.
DISCLAIMER
this is purely fiction, it has no real connection to the actual series "Gossip Girl" and none of these characters are seen in Gossip Girl, this is simply an alternative universe. this is not Outer Banks setting, this is in Manhattan, New York. some of these obx characters, not all because there are far too many to put in one series, aren't here, but I have tried to put the ones I remember. The plot has been inspired by Gossip Girl and Gossip Girl only, but I do not claim their plot as my own. Please do not steal, copy, claim or rewrite my work, my work or my own characters. My work is my own. But I would really appreciate some support as this is my first big series, other series tend to be not as big and developed as I have done this series. More characters would be added later on in the series as I develop it.
WARNINGS
toxicity, classism, privilege overload, not a lot of morals around here, problematic early 2000s vibes like slut-shaming, toxic beauty standards, gossip culture, heavy drama and language, trauma, mental health struggles, elitism, substance abuse, infidelity, emotional abuse, ed and body image issues, violent threats, cyberbullying and bullying in general but unlike gg, this is a diverse casting. this series target audience is 18 and above. viewer's discretion is advised throughout the series.
COMMON THEMES
elite upper class, wealth, power struggles, control, love, lust, toxic romance, infidelity, virginity, identity, social hierarchy, popularity, secrecy, betrayal, lies, family dysfunction, arranged marriages, pregnancy scares, coming of age, young adult, media, influence, revenge, mystery, double lives, reputation, scandals, insecurity, mental health ( but no actual help for it ), obligation, duty, desire, drug abuse, addiction, chaotic, class warfare, hollywood stardom
SYNOPSIS
The Non-Judging Breakfast Club— as Serena Elizabeth Rhodes says ( future Cameron through Clarissa Rhodes and Ward Cameron's marital union ) were considered to be Kildare royalty through and through. The audience follows through the scandalous lives of the four infamous teens, with a threat weighing on their shoulders, some more heavy than others, of an anonymous blogger exposing their secrets at every given opportunity. The big question is, do you have what it takes to survive in our world? Or will the vipers of Constance Billiard swallow you whole? Send us all the deets at the official Gossip Girl website.
Now as we all know our Ancient Greek facts.. you don't? Well let's brush up on our facts! For one, the Ancient Greeks believed there are four elements of matter. In the depths of Manhattan's private school, Constance Billiard? We have that too! Except in the form of the core four students... make a good first impression.
MEET OUR THRILLING FOUR!
Fire — passionate, ambitious, driven or if we wanna talk about 17 year old girl with a stance of five foot six, let's talk about Zara Victoria Bianchi, Queen Zee, as Kildare's Gossip page states, but not exactly the it girl, that's all Sabrina Rhodes... Zara's more of a schemer than your mother's three course meal plans, thriving on perfectionism in every sense of the word. She burns bright to conceal the ashes. A constant need to conquer and go forth, all her emotions conflict and fuel her sparks. Known for her strategic scheming and sharp wit, Zara's got her whole swarm of bees that'll feed off you if she says otherwise. You'd know better than to give a bad impression to the Constance's shining star or are you just stupidly brave?. Faceclaim: Cindy Kimberly.
Yet, despite it all, she's a devoted girlfriend since childhood to every girl's dream boy since diapers, Theo Laurent. Speaking of Sir Golden Boy himself....
Earth — loyal, kind, grounding. Also known as Theodore Fitzwilliam Laurent. Famously known to be the Golden Boy of Manhattan, with the handsome looks of a foreign God you could only fantasise about and all dreamy eyes. Beneath his all that polished exterior, is a boy who tries to be the right guy. Loyalty runs deep when it comes to Theo, almost to a fault. he rarely is apart of his girlfriend Zara's spitfire, but somehow gets caught in the crossfire. A quiet constant in a world of chaos within his friend group, that's until of course he loses his virgnity to his girlfriend's best friend Sabrina Rhodes in a certain Clemonte wedding and lives with the guilt. Till of course, the lady of his dreams appears once again in his life, and Theo is torn between desire and loyalty. Faceclaim: Charles Melton | Cha Eunwoo
Now for the lady of his dreams, as I say....
Water — glowing, magnetic, perfect. Sabrina Elizabeth Rhodes. Effortlessly beautiful, irresistible to a tee. When she walks in the room, the world stops and all eyes are on her. Serena acts with her heart, not with her head unlike her best friend, Zara. The IT girl of Manhattan, caught between two worlds throughout the series, who she's supposed to be, and who she truly wants to be. She's the friend who'll drop everything to help you, but disappear when it gets too much for her. Sabrina Rhodes is a walking contradiction, with that dreamlike presence swarming around her. Always in such a hurry to reinvent yourself, go to a new city, change your name, start again, isn't that right, Rhodes? Attention isn't what you want to grab, Sarah, but when Theo Laurent catches your eye, you just couldn't help yourself. Faceclaim: Madelyn Cline
Last but not least, everyone's hotshot...
Air — playboy, cocky, charming. Rafe Cameron. The boy who throws around wealth like it's simply a few pennies, the playboy of the Upper East every girl says they'd never fall for but they're already tripping, always waiting for the perfect moment to strike. He's the definition of lavish, a penthouse in the Hamptons, cigarettes and sex, with his signature smirk and cocky attitude. Heir to Ward Cameron's multibillion businesses, yet daddy dearest isn't so faithful in his business management skills. Whilst some of the ladies may enjoy a golden boy, there's the rare few, that prefer dark and mysterious. Under all that arrogance and promiscuity, is a drive for daddy's approval. Will daddy ever look at you like you're anything but a player? There's a lingering threat, Rafe, your empire is under threat. Faceclaim: Drew Starkey

Free || Leah Williamson x reader
Tumblr media
Request | Masterlist | Prompt List
Part of the mini Williamson universe.
Summary You finally get a day free to spend with all your friends.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
“Baby, you go out with the girls today. I’ve got Ami and Charlie.” Leah told you, holding a five week old Charlie in her arms.
“Are you sure?” You questioned, Leah nodding confidently in response.
In college, you’d become friend with four girls and you all became best friends.
Since then, you’d been inseparable. Going out for drinks or dinner or shopping.
Each week, you’d all meet up doing whatever.
That had all continued until you reached 30 weeks and you didn’t really fancy going out.
So your friends had to improvise and bring all them meet ups to your house instead.
Since you gave birth to Charlotte, they’d been encouraging you to go on an overdue shopping trip, but you felt guilty for leaving Charlie when she was still so little, even though Leah would be there to look after her.
Yesterday, you made the decision to decline there offer to go out today and you had been in a mood the rest of the day.
Leah had picked up on it and immediately knew what was wrong.
“Of course I’m sure, baby. You’re missing your friends and you deserve a break, go have fun.” Leah said, encouragingly nodding with her words.
“Thank you, le.” You pressed a kiss to her cheek, excitedly. “I pumped this morning so that’s ready in the fridge. Are you sure Charlie’s ready for me to leave her?” You started doubting whether to go or not.
“Baby, she’s asleep. She’s gonna be fine. I won’t let anything happen.”
“I know. I’m sorry, I’m not doubting you. You’re the best mummy ever.” You told Leah, watching her put Charlie in the Moses basket.
“So are you.” Leah said, placing her hands on your hips and pulling you in for a kiss.
“Stop kissing.” Ami told you both as she walked into the room.
“Can I not kiss mama?” Leah questioned, still resting an arm around you.
“No.”
“Sorry, bubba, but I’m always going to kiss mama.” Leah told her, pecking your lips. “You go get ready, baby. I’ve got them both. Take my card today as well, treat yourself.”
You walked through door a few hours later, with several bags in your hand.
“Hi, baby.” Leah exclaimed as you walked into the living room, a sleeping Charlie curled up on her chest.
Ami was lying on the sofa, cuddled up to Leah’s side watching a film on the tv.
“Hi, love.” You said, bending down to kiss her.
“Gonna do a runway show for me?” Leah smirked playfully, raising her eyebrows suggestively.
“Le!” You exclaimed, smacking her arm gently. “Besides, I didn’t get much.”
“Baby, you’re kidding. How many bags is that? Six? Seven?”
“Most of its for Ami and Charlie.” You told her, gesturing to the bags in your hands. “Oh my god, le look at these baby clothes I got for Charlie.”
You showed Leah the bag full of baby clothes, Leah’s heart melting at some of them.
“They’re adorable, baby.”
“And I got this very special dress just for Ami.” You said, Ami’s head bobbing up from the sofa at the mention of a dress and her name.
You showed her the Disney princess dress you got for Amelia.
“For me?” Ami asked, as you nodded.
“Just for my princess.”
“Thank you, mama.”
“You’re welcome, bubba.”
“Baby, it was your turn to treat yourself whilst you were out. Why didn’t you get yourself anything?” Leah asked, rubbing your arm.
“Oh I did, and I think you’re gonna like it to. We did a quick trip to the Victoria secret shop.” You whispered, Leah’s eyes widening in realisation.
“Really?”
“Really.” You confirmed, pointing to the Victoria secret bag.
“Gonna try it on for me?”
“Tonight.” You whispered, winking.
Just as Leah went to respond, Charlie was sick all over her.
“Little miss clearly doesn’t like the idea of it.”

"It keeps things interesting, doesn't it?" pairing: jon kent x gn!reader x damian wayne warnings: subtle "accusations" of cheating wc: 4.4k NOTICE: im gonna start adding my notes/end notes on ao3 from now on if i have any. they just include my yapping (the beginning notes are usually just warnings anyway) i might go back and add them to previous chaps, might not.
Tumblr media
You actually spend the next morning skipping your first classes in exchange for visiting the Den. You’ve had perfect attendance so far, so you’re only grievance is that you won’t be able to brag about it anymore. You’ll send in an excuse note later.
The reason for your absence is to take note of what you need for the badassium. Karen lists things off for you as you write them on a little note. A lot of it is high-grade expensive stuff. If Victoria can’t get it for you, you’ll just ask her for the money to get it yourself. Or just ask her where you can steal it.
You arrive only a tad bit late to ballet class. That’s a lie, there’s five minutes left till the bell. The teacher barely notices, too occupied with scolding some of the other kids. Victoria sees you enter and scurries over.
“Where were you?” she asks.
You pull out the list, holding it up to her. “Making this.” You hold it out to her. “It’s a list of all the stuff I need. You wanna help me? Get me these.”
She takes the paper, looking it over. “What is it?”
“Materials I need. I’m building something really important.” Victoria’s eyes roam the sheet, before nodding and tucking it into her bra.
“How fast do you need them?”
“As fast as you can get them without raising suspicion. If you can’t get them, either give me the money or tell me where I can pick it up myself.”
Victoria raises a brow. “You’d steal it?”
You shrug. “What, like it’s hard?”
She huffs is disbelief. She’ll get used to you soon enough. The bell rings, and you and Victoria walk out together. “My staff are very discreet,” she reassures. “I will get it to you.”
“Drop it off at this location,” you text her the address. It’s an old apartment close to your Den. No one lives there, you made sure.
Determined to be of use, she nods. You wave her goodbye as you drop her off. Since you missed first period, you’ll only get to see Damian at the end of the day. You also missed lunch, so there goes your most fulfilling meal of the day.
You’re beginning to feel like a zombie. You’ve always been isolated from your peers, not on purpose, most of the time. Your mind is simply far beyond theirs in every universe, it seems. It’s why you started online classes, you simply just couldn’t stand being in school with others. It was just so boring . Unfortunately for you, you’re stuck in class. Life’s rough. Maybe you should start skipping more often. You can definitely catch up, you just have to not miss too many classes.
Ms. M greets you with a bright and cheery disposition, quite the opposite to your current demeanor. You give Ms. M a stiff but polite smile, trying to muster some enthusiasm. She’s one of the few teachers you actually like, her passion for the subject always evident.
You place your head down on your desk, feeling the lull of boredom pull you under. As Ms. M begins her lecture, you try to focus, but your mind keeps drifting back to the list of materials and your plans for the badassium. The thought of finally making significant progress makes you giddy.
Luckily for your peace of mind, Ms. M has a short lecture for the day with no assignment. She leaves the class alone for the remainder of the day. You shut your eyes, breathing calm. Feeling the call of sleep, you answer, escaping from the boringness of the day.
Except a finger flicks your ear, rudely disturbing your would-be sleep.
“Damian,” you murmur, rising. “May I help you?”
“Where were you this morning?” He doesn’t waste time with pleasantries. He never does.
“Not here,” you grumble. “I had to take care of some stuff. And I was kind of thinking about not even coming at all.” It’s true. Most people in their right mind just stay home if they’re even ten minutes late.
Damian picks a piece of lint from your collar. “I thought that perhaps you were affected by Ivy’s abilities. After all, I doubt you are capable of taking care of yourself.”
You cup Damian’s face, making his lips pucker. “Aw, is this your roundabout way of saying you want to take care of me? You’re so sweet.”
He takes your hands into his own, pulling them away. “I didn’t think you the unfaithful type, [Name].”
You blink. “Huh?”
“Considering the compromising position I found you and Victoria in, certainly the two of you are… together?” His face twists as he says the last word. Oh, yeah. You forgot that he walked in on the two of you. The whole carnival thing occupied your thoughts.
“Well, first of all–” you start, placing your hands in your lap, tugging his hands there as well. “–you make it sound like we’re in the regency era and I’ve just compromised the young lady Victoria,” you huff in a British accent, rolling your eyes. “Second of all, what you walked in on was a… confusing situation. We kissed, agreed we were better of as friends, and that’s that. I am not the unfaithful type, fuck you,” you grin. Leaning back, you raise your legs so perch them on his thighs. Surprisingly, he lets you.
“So don’t worry, I’m still available and I would never cheat on you, baby.”
He pinches your thigh in retaliation, before moving to massage your calves. You let your head hang over the edge of your chair, relaxing. Damian’s got skilled hands, he has too. From his background as an assassin and his current occupation as Robin. His fingers work the stress out of your muscles. His hands feel really nice.
“We’ll go to my home to work more on the project,” he mutters, focused on his current task. You hum in contentment, the tension in your muscles melting away under Damian's skilled hands. “Sounds good to me,” you murmur. “Alfred makes really good sandwiches.”
Damian continues to knead your calves for a few more moments before finally stopping. “You’ve become spoiled.”
You laugh softly, sitting up and stretching. “Says the rich one.” You and Damian gather your things as the last bell rings. Stepping outside, you breathe in the cool air. It’s getting colder in Gotham, soon it’ll start snowing. Damian’s hand finds its place on your back, guiding you to the car. You make sure to greet Alfred as you step inside.
“How’s Jon doing?” you ask. “I hope he isn’t too embarrassed about what happened.”
“Jon is fine. The antidote did it’s part. As for his unnecessary embarrassment…” he trails off, “...you should ask him yourself.”
You tsk. “Useless,” you joke. You have a feeling Jon will do anything to ignore and forget about what happened, so you’re not sure how easy it’ll be to ask him.
Wayne Manor stands before you once again as you arrive. The sprawling estate is both imposing and welcoming, a testament to the Wayne family’s legacy. You step out of the car, feeling a mix of anticipation and exhaustion.
When you enter, you’re greeted by a loud bark. A large dog, a Great Dane, rounds the corner. He trots happily towards Damian, panting. Damian gives him generous pets.
“This is Titus,” he introduces. Titus barks at you in greeting.
You grin reaching out a hand to pet him. “Hi, Titus.” Titus leans into your scritches, making you coo and increase your petting tenfold.
“Sorry about that! I guess he knew you were here and got excited,” says a voice, rounding the corner. A figure clad is comfy loungewear makes his way over to the two of you. You clock him immediately as none other than Dick Grayson. He bears a charming smile as he approaches.
“You must be Damian’s friend I’ve heard so much about,” he greets, holding out a hand.
You shake it, looking at Damian smugly. “You talk about me, Dami?” You grin as he glares at you.
“I’m his older brother, Dick.”
The urge to make a joke is very strong, but you persevere. Wrong audience. “Nice to meet you. Damian hasn't mentioned you at all," you tease lightly, shooting Damian a playful glance.
Dick chuckles, looking between you and Damian with a knowing expression. "I can see that. Well, if you're Damian's friend, you're welcome here anytime. And it's always nice to meet someone who can keep him on his toes."
You chuckle softly, liking his easygoing demeanor. "Thanks, Dick. I'll do my best to keep him in line."
Damian doesn’t like how you and his brother are plotting against him in front of him, so he grabs you arm and drags you away. “We have work to do, Grayson. Do not bother us.”
Dick grins and winks as you two disappear from view. As Damian drags you away, you shoot Dick a playful wave before disappearing from view. You can hear Dick's laughter echoing behind you, amused.
Damian doesn't release his hold until you're both in a quieter part of the manor, away from potential eavesdroppers. "You enjoy teasing me, don't you?" he murmurs, voice dropping.
You grin saliciously. "Of course I do," you reply, your voice teasing as you lean in closer to Damian. "It keeps things interesting, doesn't it?"
“It seems to be your only talent,” he says, turning to look at you. Your faces are close together, breaths intermingling.
Your playful grin widens at his comment, enjoying the closeness as Damian's gaze meets yours. "Oh, I have plenty of talents," you retort smoothly, teasingly brushing a stray lock of hair from his forehead. Damian's pupils dilate, a glint flickering in his eyes before he regains his composure.
"Is that so?" he challenges, a smirk playing on his lips. His hand, which had been resting on your arm, moves to lightly trace the line of your jaw, his touch sending a shiver down your spine.
You lean into his touch, meeting his gaze with a mixture of playfulness and genuine affection. "Mhm," you murmur, your voice low. "But you'll have to stick around to find out all my secrets."
The intensity in Damian's eyes deepens, his thumb brushing lightly against your cheek. "Maybe I intend to," he replies, his voice dropping to a husky whisper.
Before the moment can escalate further, a loud bark interrupts the thick atmosphere. Titus, ever the loyal companion, trots over to Damian’s side, breaking the spell between you and Damian. You chuckle softly, pulling back slightly as Damian withdraws his hand.
Damian straightens beside you, brushing his hands down his front. Clearing his throat, grumbles. “We are distracted, we should be working.”
You shrug, easy. “You’re the guide.”
Damian leads you into the same room you worked in the last time you visited. Titus takes perch under the table, settling in and curling up. Today will probably be the last time you’re invited over for a while, if not indefinitely. You’re sure you’ll finish the powerpoint in an hour or so, so you wonder if Damian will kick you out as soon as that happens.
You hand Damian your laptop, since it’s been mostly you doing the actual work, it’s his turn. His fingers fly across the keys as he types. You sit on the table next to him and point out things he should add. You both work in comfortable silence, occasionally broken by your comments and Damian's terse responses. The atmosphere is focused, the earlier playful tension replaced by a shared sense of purpose.
After an hour or so, you lean back, stretching your arms above your head. "I think that covers everything," you say, looking over the final slide.
Damian gives a final, scrutinizing look at the presentation before nodding in agreement. "It’s comprehensive," he admits, shutting the laptop. "We should be prepared for any questions they throw at us."
"Good," you reply, hopping off the table. "Now that the hard part's done, let's hope the presentation goes smoothly."
Damian closes your laptop and sets it aside. "It will. We've covered every angle. Even if they ask something unexpected, we can handle it."
You smile, appreciating his confidence. You stretch once more, your muscles appreciating the movement after sitting for so long. Titus wakes up from his nap, prancing over to you. You kneel and pet his face generously. He whines when you pull away to gather your stuff.
As you gather your things, you notice Damian watching you with an inscrutable expression. You can't quite read what's going on in his mind, but there's a sense of something unsaid lingering in the air.
“What is it?” you ask.
Damian hesitates, which he seems to do a lot around you. It’s strange to you how someone who appears so sure of himself, so absolute can do such a thing. “What are your plans for your future?”
You blink, taken aback. “Like… after high school?”
He nods, his gaze intense. "Yes. What do you see yourself doing?"
It's a question you haven't given much thought to, caught up as you are in the present challenges. You don’t really want to give it much thought. Being here long enough to go to college makes your stomach turn. You can’t pretend like you have been miserable all this time. You’ve made friends, made a life here. But it’s not your life.
“I haven’t really thought about a college or anything. I know I want to help people,” you say, eyes trailing off. “What do you wanna do?”
Damian’s expression softens. “I want to continue my fathers legacy. Do everything to make the city safer, I suppose. However, I would also like to explore my own interests.”
“I look forward to seeing your art in a museum, Damian,” you declare, facing him.
There's a moment of shared understanding between you, a recognition of the complexities that lie beneath the surface. It's a comforting feeling, knowing that despite your differences, you share a common drive to carve out your own paths.
A polite knock echoes against the door before it opens. Dick pokes his head out with a smile on his face. “Hey, you two. Hope I’m not interrupting anything?”
You shake your head. “Nah, we just finished.” You shoulder your bag over your shoulder. “I was actually about to head out.”
Dick perks up. “Actually, Alfred wanted to know if you would like to stay for dinner.”
Behind you, Damian freezes and narrows his eyes. “As [Name] was just saying, they were leaving–”
“–Actually I think I will stay for dinner,” you grin at Damian. Only a fool would skip out on a chance to taste Alfred Pennyworth’s cooking. Any pokes and prods about your identity you’ll meet head on, and any chance to embarrass Damian is a good chance.
Dick matches your grin, nodding. “I’ll let him know.” He disappears, closing the door and leaving you two alone
Damian scowls. “Whatever you are planning–”
“I have no wrong intentions whatsoever Damian,” you furrow your brows and place a hand on your chest in mock offense. “I’m offended you think so low of me.”
Damian's scowl deepens, clearly not amused by your teasing. "You always have some ulterior motive," he accuses, crossing his arms.
You step closer, looking up at him with a mischievous glint in your eye. "Maybe I just want to enjoy a nice dinner with your family. Is that such a crime?"
He narrows his eyes suspiciously. "Fine. But don't think I won't be watching you."
You smirk playfully. "I wouldn't expect anything less."
With that settled, you follow Damian out of the room and into the sprawling manor once more. The atmosphere shifts slightly as you join Damian and Titus, walking through the grand halls towards the dining room. You can't help but feel a mixture of excitement and curiosity about what dinner with the Wayne family will entail.
When you step into the room your senses immediately buzz with anticipation, jittering around your skull. Just about every single member of the Batfamily is present. Even goddamn Jason Todd is here, helping Alfred set the table. It boosts your ego a little bit. Bruce Wayne greets you as you enter.
“I’m glad we can have you over,” he smiles. “Damian doesn’t have many friends to bring over.”
You snort at Damian’s grunt. You decide not to push Damian's buttons further in front of his family. For now. "Thank you for having me, Mr. Wayne," you reply politely.
Bruce nods back, his smile warm and welcoming. "Please, call me Bruce. Make yourself at home."
You take your seat at the large table, Damian at one side and Dick at the other. Everyone else settles in as well. Alfred serves the meal, a fancy foreign meal you don’t understand the name of. Damian, of course, gets a vegetarian portion of it.
Jason speaks up first. “You gonna introduce us or what?” He asks Damian. He looks about a second way from pulling out a hidden knife from somewhere, so Dick jumps in to save the day.
“This is [Name], they’re Damian’s classmate and…” he pauses for dramatic effect, “...friend!”
The table erupts in chuckles at Dick's teasing, though Damian remains stoic and unamused. You take the opportunity to greet everyone with a friendly smile and a wave.
"It's nice to meet all of you," you say, trying to match their warm reception despite Damian's icy demeanor.
Tim, who's been quietly observing the interaction, finally speaks up. "So, [Name], Damian's told us a bit about you. How's school been treating you?"
You take a moment to collect your thoughts. "It's been... interesting," you reply diplomatically, trying not to reveal too much. "I’m used to online so it’s definitely an experience."
“[Name] takes a ballet class. They are also the lead in the upcoming winter performance,” Damian pipes up, no doubt trying to put you on the spot. Asshole.
Stephanie grins. “No way! Cass does ballet too,” she claps a hand on Cass’s shoulder. Cass nods. She signs ‘what is your favorite move?’ . Barbara opens her mouth, prepared to translate what Cass said, but you beat her to the punch. You respond, fingers moving in practiced efficiency to gesture out your favorite move. Cass grins in approval.
“You know sign?” asks Duke.
“I know a lot of languages,” you smile. It’s true. Many of the Avengers know multiple languages, and they took to teaching you as much as they could. You even learned some Asgardian to impress Thor (he cried). Nat said it was a crucial skill to have.
“Like what?” asks Bruce, leaning in.
You look up as you think. “Russian, Italian, Spanish, some German, some Latin…” you trail off, “...etcetera. My dad has a lot of cool friends.”
A shared look of impressed spreads throughout the room.  Bruce hums, “and what about your father? What does he do?”
“He invents things. Right now he’s on vacation. Don’t remember where exactly he said, but he sends me money every now and again.”
Bruce gets a kind of sour look on his face before nodding. “Ah, sounds like quite the character,” Bruce responds with a nod, trying to maintain his composure. You sense there might be more to Bruce's reaction, perhaps his adoption senses are tingling (God forbid). The dinner conversation continues on lighter notes as everyone shares anecdotes and stories, keeping the atmosphere lively.
“Damian says you also like to invent and program things,” pipes up Dick.
“Yeah, I’m actually working on something right now. It’s pretty big, but hopefully it’s works,” you reply vaguely.
“Your father must be very proud of your accomplishments,” Bruce remarks, his tone measured. He gets a couple of side-eyes.
You nod. “Yeah, he always encourages me to pursue my interests. He’s pretty cool like that.”
Barbara chuckles, "It's always good to have interests outside of school. Keeps things exciting."
Tim nods in agreement, sipping his drink. “Yeah, I dabble in programming too. It’s a useful skill to have.”
After a while, Alfred brings out dessert - a decadent chocolate mousse that looks almost too good to eat. Everyone digs in eagerly, sharing their thoughts on the meal and enjoying the dessert in comfortable chatter.
Throughout the evening, you notice Bruce observing you with a mix of curiosity and concern, as if trying to gauge something beyond your words. His occasional glances toward Damian and Dick imply a silent conversation that you're not privy to, though you catch a few knowing looks exchanged between the brothers.
As the dinner winds down, Alfred discreetly clears away the dishes, signaling the end of the meal. You offer to help with the dishes, but Alfred kindly declines, insisting that you're a guest tonight.
Dick stretches contentedly, breaking the comfortable silence that has settled over the table. "Well, it's been great having you over, [Name]. Hope you enjoyed the meal."
"Yeah, thanks for letting me crash dinner," you reply warmly, smiling around the table. "It's been really nice."
Damian stands abruptly. “I believe [Name] should be heading home now,” he states, pointedly ignoring the snickers.
You nod, rising from your seat. "Right. Thanks again for having me, everyone."
“You’re more than welcome to stay the night, [Name],” smirks Tim. “We have plenty of room, though I’m sure Damian would be happy to–” Cass pinches Tim’s ear, interrupting his sentence.
You smile at their antics. “My cat is waiting for me, so I have to pass. I appreciate the offer, though.”
Bruce nods, his expression serious yet not unkind. "Anytime, [Name]. You're welcome here."
With a final round of goodbyes and well-wishes, you follow Damian out of the dining room. The atmosphere between you two is quieter now, the playful tension from earlier replaced by a sense of calm. "You enjoyed yourself tonight," Damian states, more a statement than a question.
You nod, a small smile playing on your lips. "Yeah, your family's pretty entertaining. I like their dynamic.”
There's a moment of silence as you both stand there, the air thick with unspoken thoughts and emotions. You take a step closer, closing the distance between you and Damian. His gaze meets yours, a mixture of intensity and vulnerability that surprises you.
"You know," you begin, your voice low, "I do really like teasing you, Damian. But I also... appreciate our time together." Your heart beats a little faster as you admit this, feeling vulnerable yet strangely liberated.
Damian's expression softens further, a rare vulnerability in his eyes as he looks at you. "I... feel the same," he confesses quietly, almost hesitantly.
Before either of you can say more, the door creaks open, and Dick pokes his head in with a cheeky grin. "Hey, you two. Hate to interrupt, but Alfred’s outside ready to take [Name] home."
Damian straightens abruptly, a hint of irritation flickering across his features. "We'll be there shortly," he replies tersely, clearly annoyed at the interruption.
Dick raises an eyebrow, his grin widening. "Sure thing. Don't keep Alfred waiting too long," he teases before closing the door.
You roll your eyes playfully at Dick's teasing as he disappears, leaving you and Damian alone once more. There's a brief moment where neither of you speaks, the tension palpable in the air. Finally, Damian breaks the silence.
"We should go," he says, his voice low but firm.
You nod in agreement, trying to dispel the awkwardness that has settled between you. "Right. Let's go."
Together, you and Damian make your way out towards the front door of Wayne Manor. The grandeur of the mansion surrounds you, yet it feels less intimidating now, having spent an evening with Damian's family. As you step outside into the cool night air, Alfred waits patiently by the car, ready to drive you home. Damian walks beside you, carrying your stuff, his demeanor slightly tense yet thoughtful.
As you approach the car, Damian walks up to Alfred and mutters to him. Alfred raises a prim brow, handing Damian the keys with a nod. He walks back towards the Manor, where you see the rest of the family either peeking out the door or straight up standing outside looking. You snort. Damian sets your stuff in the backseat, opening the passenger side door for you to enter. You hum in appreciation, sitting inside.
Bruce watches the car drive away, a pinch in his brow.
“I thought Damian liked Jon?” questions Duke.
“He does.” Barbara squints. Tim gestures to the leaving car. “Then what was that?” he asks. Cassandra hums. “He also likes them, he doesn’t know it yet. Or he is just in denial.”
“Well if Cass says it’s so, then it’s so,” nods Stephanie sagely. Alfred leans closer to Bruce. “They may become part of your brood yet.”
"Perhaps," Bruce murmurs quietly, more to himself than to anyone else. Duke leans in, intrigued. "You think they're good for Damian?"
Bruce considers his words carefully before responding. "I think [Name] challenges Damian in ways that are both positive and... complicated."
Inside the car, Damian focuses on the road ahead, his grip tight on the steering wheel. The drive is quiet. You watch as people go on with their lives. Very few people roam the streets at this hour. You steal glances at Damian occasionally, noting the tense set of his jaw and the focused look in his eyes.
As you approach your apartment building, Damian breaks the silence. "I apologize for my family's... curiosity," he says, his voice soft yet tinged with annoyance.
You chuckle softly, shaking your head. "It's alright, Damian. They just want to get to know me better."
Damian parks the car and turns to face you, his expression unreadable. "They can be... overwhelming at times," he admits reluctantly.
"You're lucky to have them," you remark sincerely.
Damian steps out of the car, grabbing your bag and walking you to the front door. The air feels like a stark contrast to the warmth of Wayne Manor. Damian's gaze meets yours, a flicker of something unspoken passing between you. You lean in slightly, hesitating for a moment before pressing a soft kiss to his cheek, just like last night. Damian freezes for an instant, different to his lack of reaction before.
"Goodnight, Damian," you murmur, pulling back slightly.
"Goodnight, [Name]," he replies softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
With a final smile, you close the door behind you. Damian stands there for a moment longer before driving away into the night. As you enter your apartment, you're greeted by the familiar sight of Nari lounging on the couch. Your phone buzzes in your pocket.
‘All of your materials have been delivered to the address.’ is what greets you when you open up Victoria’s chat. You grin, sending a thank you. Your bed feels like heaven as you sink into it. Tomorrow real progress will be made, and you can’t wait.

Mary Linton and Jack Marston meeting in 1922
Okay but these are just my headcanons for the very improbable scenario that they end up bumping into each other in the future. / My headcanons for what they would do with their lives after the events of rdr/rdr2
(I'm going to explain them under the cut)
Okay so, starting with Jack:
I want to believe Jack lived a more or less normal life after killing Ross, successfully getting away with this one (1) murder, and having that as a skeleton in his closet. Not finding peace really, so the whole revenge thing doesn't fix his miserable life but he can go on to try to do something with his life. Gunslinging doesn't really have a place anymore here.
When the US joined WWI I know that boy DID NOT join the US Army, he would NEVER join the group that killed his dad, or make the same mistake as him and make a deal with the government. He would rather be jailed for dodging the draft, what will they do, threaten him with what? He has nothing to live for really, so they can't make him. I don't think he cares much if he gets shot (he has a like saying as much in rdr when he duels Ross).
After the whole jail thing he'd go back to a more or less normal life, I'd guess he would have to have a regular job and write whenever he's able (I want to believe that one Easter egg in GTA is canon...it is to me...), but I don't think he'd be able to make a living just from writing.
As for Mary, I always wondered why Mary was dressed the way she was during the credits cut scene in Rdr2. Because I'm guessing it takes place in 1907 (given that most cut scenes appear to happen at the same time more or less than the epilogue). But I wondered why Mary was dressing in black; I mean, during the Victorian era there were very specific mourning traditions, especially for women. Wearing black was pretty much a part of a social thing, you'd publicly mourn. The extension of your mourning would depend on who died and what was your relationship with them.
And here is the thing, Arthur had died 8 years ago by then, we could assume Mary had found out shortly after of his dead because newspapers in the Rdr2 universe love to brag whenever law enforcement/Pinkertons kill renown outlaws. (Even Arthur and Hosea get mentioned years later in some sort of article in 1907 too). And additionally, we know that Mary kept up with how the gang, especially Arthur, was doing through the news on the newspapers. So again, it wouldn't be crazy to assume she knew about Arthur's death back in 1899.
So then, why is she wearing a black dress to visit his grave in 1907?. Black is the color of mourning, but as far as I am aware (and correct me if I'm wrong) it was not required to visit a grave back in the day. So I like to headcanon Mary mourning Arthur like a widow, because widows would have to wear their black weeds for 2 years (there were different periods of mourning, for instance Mary's clothes could be classified under the 'half-mourning' type, meaning there has been at least 6 months since her loved one passed away, meaning she could now wear some jewelry, other colours, ect.
But here is a little extra, Queen Victoria popularized among some women the practice to never abandon their period of half mourning, and especially, keep wearing black the rest of their lives even if they move on, as a sign of love for their dead husband.
Mary and Arthur never got married, but I like to think Mary lived as a widow for him. Continuing with her life as normal, of course, but always having that bittersweet ache in her heart, dressing in black out of respect and love for him and the life they couldn't have. Even if she had wanted to move on from him after she realized they couldn't be together as Arthur wouldn't leave the gang, I think she would have folded if Arthur had gone after her (I mean she did re-initiate contact after they were supposed to never speak again), and I think she was still preparing herself emotionally when she heard the news that Arthur was dead, ironically not moving on from him.
She didn't remarry, Jamie made good money and maintained her, Mary knew the kind of life she didn't want and she could be respectable and old as a widow. Plus marrying someone new at her age would be a titanic task.
I think Mary kept her mother's brooch Arthur returned for her as her reminder of him, given that she returned the picture and the ring. In fact she's wearing it when she visits Arthur's grave in-game!. So I kept that
It just warms my heart to think of the very few people left who knew about the gang finding each other in usual ways. Maybe next time I'd do Sadie or Charles. I'm just a sucker for this kind of things

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is a list of realities i compiled from three lovely people’s dr ideas posts: ellysdreamworldd, deminetly, & lalalian. this post is a way for me to clear out my likes without having to keep track of the realities i’m interested in shifting to in a notebook i’ll lose or forget about . . .
Tumblr media
a retro high school/college reality. this could be a reality from any decade where retro still fits. the original poster wrote 70s-00s. i feel like i partly already have this with my twilight reality, it’s set in the early 2000s. but it’s definitely something i could be interested in shifting to outside of that reality
2000s victoria’s secret angel reality. see this is weird because i am a trans man. and like . . . the parts of my body that are inherently feminine and ideal for an angel, i don’t like. however, it can be what i like so put my ideal masculine but twinkish form in some lingerie and call it a day!!
professional tourist reality. a reality where i have all the money in the world and travel the world with no responsibilities seems SO fun! but like an ideal and bigotry free world. and also i get to bring someone with me!!
vampire reality. tbh i already have a few of those . . . but i’m not in love with them. that and they’re from pre-existing media, and i want one that i can really play with and make my own and just fall in love with my own mind and life through it, yk??
royalty reality. this could be so so incredibly fun. but i fear the way i view and picture a royalty reality in my mind at the moment . . . it’s off putting. i’d need a new perspective to look at these type of realities from before trying any world building or i may genuinely give up immediately
summer camp reality. as the counselors of course. like imagine being a counselor with other hot people your age and just bouncing from counselor to counselor all summer as we all sneak around camp after curfew and just go crazy!! though i technically have a reality like this already . . . my the quarry reality is basically this because i removed all the horror game elements. i should think about it more though for sure, that why i put it here
Tumblr media
mermaid reality. like genuinely the way the original poster described it as a the little mermaid kind of romance plot almost makes me not scared of the deep ocean aspect of this reality. but i love marine biology and marine animals so like i would realistically love this too. this is another one though, that i would need a perspective shift because right now the idea of this reality is off putting to me as well
magic university reality. quite literally just hogwarts in my marauders reality. but i haven’t scripted shit and i need to get on it. so i’m adding it in hopes that’ll change. it won’t lol
small town shop owner reality. the original poster said it was a flower shop. but the idea of it being like a small business of my choice, for example a metaphysical shop, and falling in love with the small business next door’s owner?? bonus points if it’s a tattoo artist i fall for, because why can’t fanfic tropes come to life!!
Tumblr media
planetary romance reality. described as exploration of different planets with romance specifically with aliens. and you know what . . . i’m not gonna lie. the romance with aliens is what sold me!! call me what you want! (it’ll probably be true) but this genuinely seems like such a fun reality to get to workshop!!
eco-metamorphosis reality. described as a world being colonized by aliens but instead of rejecting them you welcome them with open arms. and i was thinking this could be so fun to imagine a world that has coexisted with aliens for generations now, a good many years after, and how that looks and what daily life would be like
that’s all of them!! please look at their posts if you liked any of these and want to see what else they have shared!! i’ll tag them here so they know i used their posts for a sort of form of content @ellysdreamworldd , @deminetly & @lalalian !! thank you for the great ideas 🙏

I’ve reread the whole of the Goblin Emperor books and am neck-deep in fanfic ahead of the release of THE TOMB OF DRAGONS in a few days. (Do not spoil me for a couple of days — we’re short-handed at work so I actually need to go to work on release day…. Anyway!)
The fanfic in this fandom is at such a fantastically good standard, but there are these little worldbuilding infelicities sometimes. I’m aware people don’t like concrit in their comments anymore in these days of easy polarization. But I’m about to go off on a whole rant here anyway.
Language things:
- In general, switching registers (We/I, You/Thou) is a conscious choice which has a lot of emotional meaning in this series. Fluent speakers of languages which have both a formal and informal register rarely confuse them within a given interaction. Maia’s minor errors of register at the beginning of TGE emphasize his isolation and insecurity.
- Thou art the subject when I am speaking to thee about thine usage and thy grammar. I thank thee for thy sufferance and appreciate that thou art doing thine own best. (Didst thou see what I have wrought here?)
- The stem for Maia’s house name is Drazh- — it’s Drazhar, Drazhin, Drazharan, Drazhada, Drazhadeise. Take off the -in, -ar, or -aran to discover the stem. I’ve seen *Drazharda, which does not need the R in it.
- then there’s the -zh endings, which… sigh.
- look, there’s a guide, it’s fantastic, please read it, elrohir wrote it already, so nobody else has to reinvent the wheel here:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/62916235/chapters/161109679
Canon things:
- Tomasaran’s maiden name would have been Rozhin, I think — her family were the Rozhemada. Her name was not ever Tomasin. That was an error on Vernezar’s part; he seems to have not known/cared that she was a widow.
- Women can attend the universities, but at the start of Maia’s reign it’s explained that this marks noblewomen as unfeminine and not fit for marriage among their own rank. Vedero and Csethiro and their circle can’t study at the universities, but women from less rarified ranks can and do. Presumably this will change during Maia’s reign. I expect Ino or Mirëan will be able to attend if they want and may be trailblazers.
- it’s honestly not clear from canon whether nohecharei all have to die with their emperor if he, like, dies of a virus. They are expected to commit revethvoran if their negligence causes the emperor’s death. It’s also not clear if both sets would have to die on that event, or just the ones on duty. Also also, what if an emperor reigns a long time and the dudes who are with him for the first forty years up and retire? Who has the honor/duty of being buried with the emperor?
Anyway, there are several stories that play with this in various ways, so I got curious — my own guess would be that early emperors were buried with a full retinue of dead people, and then just the nohecherei, and if that IS still a rule I expect it will not be as soon as Maia gets so much as a head cold.
- Shalëan, Ursu, Holitho, and Nadeian are the natural or illegitimate daughters of the Great Avar. His legítimate daughters are Thever and Chenelo. Of them all, only Chenelo and Ursu have had children so far. And of course Chenelo has died (except in AUs and that one story that’s still updating).
Anyway, Chenelo’s estimable sisters are all Maia’s aunts, not his cousins. His only first cousins, unless I have miscalculated, would be Ursu’s children.
- I am so happy to share my utterly useless Chronicles of Osreth canon hyperfixation with literally anybody writing more fanfic for me to devour like the shark that I am. Here or Discord are good places to find me, same username.
- I can also do these stupid canon tricks for Victoria Goddard’s Nine Worlds series, but as I am but a humble unmarriageable min of the middle classes, I now must go to my “job” and do “work.”

A long while ago I remember there was some grousing about how Victoria claims in Ward that powers generally don't go to suicidal people, despite the fact that she exists in the same universe as Taylor Hebert. But I think that is that this is a very easy circle to square- powers don't go to the kind of suicidal person who'd just shoot themselves in the head instead of making use of their new powers. They go to the kind of suicidal people who'll instead kill themselves over the course of a couple of years by putting on a costume and getting up to increasingly lethal cape bullshit, which is coded differently on the surveys. Classic methodological blunder

Curse of the Nitghborne.
Guys, I haven't had time to play a lot, but I think the god of this land MAY BE the bad guy, but don't listen to me much.
Get up, folk! Flor did another Curse of Strahdanya crossover after Derek mentioned Lethica fused with Strahdanya as one throw joke in a stream!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The style is indeed inspired by the great art in Hades (the videogame), and the background is by Hades II.
The drawings without text:
Also, this was written at four in the morning, and I refuse to correct my insomniac ramblings this is the beta experience:
Tumblr media
Lethica Nightborne as Strahdanya
----LORE------- In Barovia, a land of the dead, of suffering and grief, a new god has appeared out of nowhere covering the land in an eternal night... Of happiness? Lethica Nightborne, known as the Divine, has presented herself as the saviour that the land needed it, for what seems like decades. Her light, her kindness, her power, has changed the region and the hearts of the people to their core, as the land has been reborn... As there's new blood... But of course, you can't blame the nature of evil, so there's still death, suffering and pain in Barovia, but of course, our saviour, our dear wife, cleans it as she chooses. And if she asks for a sacrifice, of course, we will bring it to her, if she asks for the firstborn of every family, we will name the second after her, and if she asks that we take care of her dinner guests, we shall take care of them. -----DESIGN------- All I knew of Lethica was that I wanted her to wear a veil, and she couldn't only be a countess but a whole god, the saviour of Barovia. The churches don't talk about sun gods, only of her, their lady of dark, their god. Her dress comes from mixing Stradhanya's and hers, ending in a very 19th figure, with a bit of Mesopotamian fashion (the metal belts and sleeves with the double skirt) to show her as a figure of the past, as somehow older than she appears. Of course, she had to have some kind of knife so a knife fan, and a cup to show wealth and power (her cup is always full, full of what? Well, if you look at the very pale man under with not a lot of blood left-)
Tumblr media
Marius Renathyr as Victoria Issacs
-----LORE------- Marius as a man of Ilmater seems to be QUITE interested in Barovia, a land of suffering and grief, to the extreme that seems too personal to just be a missionary mission to conquer pain. The university doesn't trust him completely, but somehow, even as a new member of the university and resident of Druskenwald, Marius had found a way to get the vote of everyone involved and the funds for the crusade. But what would be the real reasons for such travel? Or... WHO is the real reason? ------DESIGN ------ Inspired by the old missionary ropes of the 1800s and the typical vampire hunter, Marius stands as a very weird-looking holy man. From Victoria's design, we get the rosary turned into this over-complicated necklace and the ropes around his hips that reference the bloody ropes of Ilmater. (Victoria's, and now Marius, god.) And his sword has turned into a cane. (a cane with a blade.)
Tumblr media
Yorgrim as Silas "Shepherd" Morgan
-----LORE-------- From the depths of Yona, a mercenary is invited to participate in an expedition to a land of death and suffering. He accepts stating that he has other business in Barovia and he could be glad to accompany the group under the condition he would work in peace when need it. Of course, he refuses to say the kind of work, you know, "professional privacy policy" and all. But by his reputation... It can't be good... -----DESIGN------- I was going to go with a funeral worker, but the scarf with teeth appeared and it changed the vision. The design takes more inspiration from Shepherd than Yorgrim, with the hunter theme, with the shotgun filled with blue magic and a list of hunts on red clay (that would be broken when the hit is eliminated.)
Tumblr media
Briggsy "The Kutlass" Kratch as Professor Clayton Azran
LORE------- Briggsy may take the role of the professor, but he's not the expedition's leader. He's contracted by the University of Druskenwald to keep an eye on Marius (since the university is suspicious of the holy man). He accepts, without even wondering or caring what Barovia is, only happy to finally obtain a title under his piracy by the lords of Druskenwald. (He's getting paid to be a pirate, oh the dream!) DESIGN------ With his design, he was the last one and I was VERY tired, so... It's something weird? You know, a pirate trying to look like a "noble man". (but he's very much failing, he looks like a maniac I think)
Tumblr media
Jericho Sticks/Virgil as Sarnax of the Edelwood
----LORE----- The cult of Gherix initially refused the university and the idea of letting them explore the runes in their forest. Until they accept but a month away from the expedition which is extremely suspicious. When the group found themselves in the forest, there he is, Jericho, a sacrificial figure of sticks and straw offered by the cult as a guide. (Of course, the poor, only brought to life months ago, strawman is a sacrifice in the name of Gherix that, by burning in Barovia, will give the god control over the whole region. / Indeed, Virgil is now Gherix we get an asshole god, give it up!) -----DESIGN----- Inspired by Wicker Man (giant figures of sticks and straw with animal sacrifices that are burned during Celtic rituals such as the Beltane.) Jericho is turned into a sacrificial figure who will burn when it's necessary by the light that keeps him alive.
Tumblr media
Farryn of the Hartsblight as Kana Soyokaze.
-------LORE------- It isn't clear when or how, but Farryn ends up getting involved with the expedition. As a storm in sea, one day, the swordswoman appears out of the blue stating that she's also trying to find her way into Barovia. The deer refuses to explain her business with the "Divine" of all people, only holding her katana with anger and sadness, but she's clearly not looking to make friends. (She ends up being friends with the whole party.) -------DESIGN----- Based on the Sika deer (a Japanese deer), the design lingers more around the fusion character while keeping Farryn's figure, with the open skirt covered by her leg armour that goes up to her hips and the war paint, fur, and bone that stays in view.

tears are getting sober – gojo satoru
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With a heavy heart, Gojo Satoru began to speak, his words a balm for the wounds that still lingered within him. He told you about his life over the past decade, the trials and tribulations he had faced, and the moments of joy that had flickered amidst the darkness. He talks as though you were still here. As though you were still alive. He teases one moment and he laughs about a memory the next. You were never dead to him. Not for one second in these past ten years did he get used to talking about you in the past tense. He thinks his brain can’t ever process the thought. He could never understand it. And he has come to accept it, after all this time. Nothing about it would ever come to be the past. You will always be his present. You will always be his future. He did not doubt that one second.

HE THINKS LOVING SOMEONE IS A TOUGH JOB. As Satoru approached his twenty-eighth year, with the threshold of twenty-nine looming ever closer, he found himself grappling with the complexities of love and human connection. It wasn't that he didn't love others—of course he did. He was a human being, after all, with the same innate desires and needs as anyone else. Love was not just a luxury for him; it was a necessity, an essential part of his existence.
Yet, despite this fundamental longing for love and connection, Satoru couldn't shake the feeling of distance that seemed to separate him from those around him. Even in the company of close friends like Shoko and Yaga-sensei, he couldn't escape the sense of being an outsider, a solitary figure navigating a world that had grown increasingly unfamiliar.
He remembered a time when things had been different, when he had felt more human, more connected to those around him. There had been moments of genuine intimacy and camaraderie, moments when he had been able to express himself freely and without reservation. But as the years passed and the weight of responsibility bore down upon him, those moments grew fewer and farther between, slipping through his fingers like grains of sand.
Now, on the cusp of another year, Satoru couldn't help but wonder if he would ever find his way back to that sense of connection, that feeling of being truly human. It was a longing that gnawed at him, a yearning for something he feared he might never recapture. And yet, deep down, he held onto the hope that someday, somehow, he would once again find himself among those who understood him, who accepted him for who he truly was.
Because during that time, he had a choice.
Because at the time, he can see Suguru smile.
Because at the time, you were still smiling alive.
There was never a moment when Satoru didn't love you. It was an all-encompassing feeling that seemed to permeate every facet of his being, impossible to ignore or suppress. Even if he had tried, he knew deep down that his love for you would persist, unwavering and unyielding. It was the kind of love that consumed him entirely, the kind that defied reason and logic.
As he reflected on his feelings, Satoru couldn't help but marvel at the power of young love. It was a force unlike any other, capable of transforming even the most mundane moments into something extraordinary. Even now, as he stood on the precipice of adulthood, his thoughts inevitably drifted back to you, the center of his universe.
He vividly remembered the day he first laid eyes on you, a moment etched into his memory with startling clarity. It was a day like any other, until it wasn't. Everything changed the instant you walked into his life, your presence casting a vibrant spectrum of colors upon his once monochrome world.
The sight of you, adorned in your dark blue uniform with that bright yellow hoodie, was like a revelation to him. Suddenly, the world seemed to burst into bloom, vibrant and full of life. The delicate petals of chrysanthemums mirrored the rosy hue of your cheeks, while the golden rays of the sun felt warmer when filtered through your radiant smile.
In that moment, the confines of his existence melted away, replaced by a sense of boundless possibility and wonder. The four corners of the room no longer felt suffocating; instead, they expanded to accommodate the enormity of his newfound emotions.
From that day forward, you became his guiding light, his source of inspiration and joy. Every smile, every wave, every word exchanged between you was a testament to the profound connection you both shared. And as Satoru gazed upon you, he couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the color you had brought into his life, forever altering the course of his destiny.
The mission briefing room was abuzz with excitement as Satoru, Suguru, Shoko, and you gathered around the table, eagerly awaiting your first assignment as a team. Yaga-sensei had to work hard to stop the gossiping from all of you. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation, each of you eager to prove yourselves in the field. Much so, he and Suguru—who realized that they were polar opposites of the other, began to think of each other as the only rivals worth having. Satoru thinks he can one up the guy with the bangs. He could do it properly too.
As the mission details were laid out before you, Satoru couldn't help but steal glances in your direction, his heart racing with a mixture of nerves and excitement. You and Shoko were conversing about how best to provide support and defense while Suguru busied himself with asking Yaga–sensei about the best ways to conduct offense campaigns.
He had been looking forward to this moment ever since he had learned that you would be joining their team, and now that it was finally here, he found himself feeling more determined than ever to make a good impression.
With the mission parameters set, the four of you set out into the night, the cool breeze of autumn stirring the leaves as you made your way through the city streets. The mission itself went off without a hitch, each of you working together seamlessly to accomplish your objectives.
You and Suguru both gained new cursed creatures, which made you quite happy. You like having good friends in these creatures, you said. Somehow it reminded you of Pokemon. He didn’t say anything, he liked Digimon too. But he supposed, if you ask him one day—he’d watch Pokemon for you.
As you made your way back to Jujutsu High, all of you were too exhausted to come discuss any dinner plans. Shoko suggested you guys stop by a convenient store. This is the one of few times Satoru’s ever been to a convenient store.
Before, he had been far more confused than anything else, no one would expect the head of the Gojo Clan to know about the outer world beyond what he’s been told. But now that he has experienced it, he found his way around it. It felt like a comfort, he supposed, that he’s able to do this at all.
Satoru found himself beside you, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. Shoko was by the counter, pushing a fake ID with a grin on her face. Suguru was just behind her, his face unimpressed about her rule breaking in order to buy some cigarettes.
"Hey," Satoru said, his voice soft as he fell into step beside you. "Great job back there. You really held your own out there."
You returned his smile, feeling a sense of pride swell within you at his words. "Thanks, Gojo–kun," you replied, your voice warm with gratitude. "I couldn't have done it without your guidance."
Satoru's heart skipped a beat at your words, a rush of warmth flooding through him at the sight of your smile. “You know you don’t have to call me so formally. Aren’t we friends?”
You look up to him again, away from the sandwich section. You blink at him. “Hm?”
“You call Geto and Ieiri by their first names.”
“And?”
“Why not me?”
You blink again, and then you laugh at him. He could feel more warmth emit through his body. Your laughter was such a beautiful sound. Far more gorgeous than the temple bells he heard in all his life. You were so beautiful.
“You could just ask me, you know.” You replied to him, smiling at him. “If that’s what you like, Gojo–kun–”
“Satoru,”
“Satoru–kun,” You corrected yourself, eyeing his happy gaze. “Then you should call me by my name too, you know?”
His lips slowly quivered into a smile, his dark peering shades lowering to reveal his eyes. “You have yourself a deal!”
As you browse the aisles together, you both share your opinions about different types of food. You liked a lot of savory dishes, Satoru loved really sweet things — which you had in common, in a sense. But well, you preferred dark chocolate to his sweet milk choco. You liked matcha and coffee more than you liked choco and strawberry milk.
But you both expressed a good love for mochi ice cream. You told Satoru that you’ve had it since you were a kid and you’ve never looked back since. Satoru’s continually eaten it since he discovered it a couple of months ago.
You got everything you wanted by then, Satoru insisting he should pay for your basket even though you were arguing with him that you had enough money to cover your expenses. But that had become a bad idea because then Shoko had goaded him with ‘What about us, Satoru?’ followed by Suguru’s lips quivering in a Cheshire grin in the back. Satoru did not care. He thinks he could pay for all your meals for the rest of his life and he would be happy — because you pouted at him that way. And it was adorable.
Satoru couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous excitement building within him. As you all walked towards the train station, he started reaching for his own plastic bag as he kept up to your pace. He reached out to grab a box, offering it to you with a small smile. You looked at him as you both stopped for a moment, Shoko and Suguru lost in their conversation as they walked in front of you both.
"I thought you might like these," He said, his voice tinged with a hint of uncertainty. “I didn’t know which brand you liked best. But this is my favorite. Consider it a reward for a job well done."
Your orbs shone like stars. “You didn’t have to, Satoru–kun.”
“I bought this for you.”  He tells her, tenderly. “You can enjoy it.”
You accepted the box slowly with a grateful smile, your eyes meeting him as you thanked him. In that moment, Satoru felt his heart swell with affection, the warmth of your smile sending a rush of happiness coursing through him. You opened the box and looked at him and grinned. You pull out one mochi container and give it to him. It was his turn to blink.
“It’s not fun to eat it alone.” You grinned wider, taking one and putting the box inside your plastic bag. You remove it from the container and start munching into the mochi. You looked at him encouragingly. “Go on, Satoru–kun!”
As the two of you made your way back to Jujutsu High, the taste of victory and the sweetness of mochi ice cream lingering on your lips, Satoru couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for the future. And as he stole glances in your direction, he knew that this was only the beginning of something truly special.
Satoru sat alone in his room, a single mochi resting delicately between his fingers as he stared off into the distance. The room was quiet, save for the soft rustling of leaves outside his window and the rhythmic ticking of the clock on his desk. But in the silence, his thoughts were consumed by one thing and one thing only—you.
As he brought the mochi to his lips, his mind wandered to memories of you, your laughter echoing in his ears like a sweet melody. He remembered the way your eyes would light up with joy whenever you indulged in your favorite treat, the happiness radiating from you like a beacon of light in his life.
But now, as he savored the familiar taste of the mochi, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. The once sweet flavor seemed to have lost its luster, the simple pleasure of indulging in his favorite snack now tinged with a bitter aftertaste.
With a sigh, Satoru set the mochi aside, his appetite suddenly vanished as he found himself consumed by thoughts of you. He missed the warmth of your smile, the sound of your laughter, the way you would brighten up his darkest days with just a simple gesture or word.
Closing his eyes, Satoru allowed himself to bask in the memories of your time together, his heart heavy with longing. He missed you more than words could express, and in that moment, he realized just how much he craved your presence in his life.
As the minutes ticked by, Satoru remained lost in thought, his mind drifting back to the memories of you. And as he sat alone in his room, the taste of the mochi still lingering on his lips, he couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness gnawing at his heart—a longing for the sweetness of your presence that he feared he may never taste again.
As Satoru reflected on the passage of time, he couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia for the days gone by. It had been a decade since you left, yet in his heart, it felt as though it were just yesterday. Time may have marched on, but for him, it would always be 2007—a year etched into his memory like a precious gem.
In his mind's eye, he could still see you as clearly as if you were standing before him, your laughter echoing in his ears and your smile lighting up his world. Despite the years that had passed, he knew that a part of him would always be with you, forever frozen in that moment in time.
And he wasn't alone in his longing. Suguru, too, harbored a deep affection for you, his heartache mirroring Satoru's own. They had both loved you fiercely, with a passion that transcended time and distance. And even now, a decade later, the memories of you still lingered, a bittersweet reminder of what once was and what could have been.
As Satoru gazed out at the world beyond, he couldn't help but wonder if you ever thought of them, if you ever longed for the warmth of their embrace as much as they longed for yours. In his heart, he knew that some bonds were unbreakable, woven together by the threads of love and longing that refused to be severed by the passage of time.
And so, as the years stretched out before him, Satoru held onto the memories of you, cherishing them like precious treasures. For in his heart, he knew that no matter where life took him, a part of him would always belong to you, just as a part of you would always belong to him.
And just as Suguru cursed you back to life,
You left and cursed Satoru back to life too.
He would never love anyone like he loved you.
He lived, just as Suguru does, to remember you.
Because that’s all he could ever truly do.

HE WAS SURE YOU WERE THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE. As Satoru wrestled with his emotions, a tumultuous storm raged within him, tearing at the seams of his heart with every passing moment. He knew better than to say anything to you, for he believed that you deserved nothing but boundless happiness. Yet, a part of him couldn't help but wonder if you would ever find true happiness with him, knowing the burden of his past and the shadows that loomed over his future.
In his eyes, you were a free spirit, a radiant gem in a world filled with darkness and uncertainty. He couldn't bear the thought of seeing you trapped in the confines of his world, shackled by the political machinations of the clans and the dangers that lurked at every corner. Even if you were to reciprocate his feelings, he feared that you would be sacrificing too much of yourself in the process.
The specter of his father's untimely demise and his mother's constant struggles loomed large in Satoru's mind, a grim reminder of the dangers that surrounded him. He knew that he could protect you, that he was the strongest among them. But he couldn't shake the feeling that you deserved so much more—a life free from the shadows that haunted his own existence.
And so, Satoru resigned himself to loving you from afar, content to cherish you as a friend and companion. He found solace in the knowledge that he could still keep you in his life, even if it meant keeping his own feelings hidden deep within his heart. For him, your happiness was paramount, and if loving you from a distance was the price he had to pay, then so be it.
When you confided in him about your feelings for Suguru, Satoru felt no malice or jealousy in his heart. Instead, he embraced your words with a sense of understanding and acceptance, knowing that your happiness was all that truly mattered. And as he watched you walk away, his heart heavy with unspoken longing, he couldn't help but silently wish for your happiness, even if it meant sacrificing his own.
You four were sent on a mission again — not too much of a hassle, considering it was just a minor deity and no one was injured, which Shoko seemed pleased about. She and Suguru were getting the camp site’s benches ready, so you all could eat dinner together. It was rare to be in such places, so you all decided that this was an opportune moment to eat some of the extra packed meals you brought along.
The sun hung low in the sky, casting a golden hue over the tranquil waters of the lake as you and Satoru sat together on the grassy bank, the gentle breeze ruffling your hair. It was a peaceful afternoon, the perfect setting for a heart-to-heart conversation.
As you gazed out at the shimmering water, a sense of nervousness fluttered in your chest, your thoughts consumed by the confession you had been holding onto for so long. Taking a deep breath, you turned to Satoru, your heart pounding in your chest.
"Satoru, there's something I need to tell you," you began, your voice hesitant as you searched for the right words. "I... I think I've fallen in love with Suguru."
Satoru's expression softened at your words, his eyes reflecting a mixture of surprise and understanding. He had suspected as much, yet hearing you say it out loud still came as a shock. But despite the pang of heartache that echoed in his chest, he knew that your happiness was paramount.
"Really?" Satoru replied, his voice gentle as he reached out to place a comforting hand on your shoulder. "That's wonderful news, you know? Suguru is a great guy, and I can see why you've fallen for him."
Your heart swelled with gratitude at Satoru's supportive words, a sense of relief washing over you as you realized that you had made the right decision in confiding in him. His encouragement gave you the strength you needed to finally take the next step in your journey.
"Yeah, he really is," you replied, a smile spreading across your face as you felt a weight lift off your shoulders. "I've been thinking about telling him how I feel, and I think today might be the day."
Satoru nodded in agreement, his eyes filled with genuine warmth as he squeezed your shoulder gently. "You should go for it," he encouraged, his voice filled with sincerity. "Life's too short to hold back your feelings. And who knows? Maybe Suguru feels the same way about you."
With Satoru's words of encouragement ringing in your ears, you felt a renewed sense of determination wash over you. Taking a deep breath, you stood up from the grassy bank, ready to seize the moment and finally confess your feelings to Suguru.
"Thanks, Satoru," you said, turning to face him with a grateful smile. "I couldn't have done this without you."
As you walked away, the weight of your confession lingered in the air, casting a shadow over Satoru's heart. He watched you go with a bittersweet smile, his own feelings swirling beneath the surface like a tempestuous sea. Every step you took towards Suguru felt like a dagger through his heart, each moment a painful reminder of what could have been.
But despite the ache in his chest, Satoru knew that he had to push his own feelings aside for the sake of your happiness. He had always been there for you, offering unwavering support and encouragement whenever you needed it. And now, as you embarked on this new chapter of your life, he couldn't bear to let his own pain stand in the way.
So he plastered on a smile, masking the turmoil within as he watched you disappear from view. Deep down, he longed to hold you back, to tell you how he truly felt. But he knew that now wasn't the time—not when your heart was set on someone else.
Instead, Satoru forced himself to focus on the positives, finding solace in the knowledge that you were pursuing your own happiness. He reminded himself that he had played a part in helping you find the courage to confess your feelings to Suguru, and for that, he felt a sense of pride.
But as he turned away from the lake, the ache in his heart remained, a constant reminder of the love he had kept hidden for so long. And though he knew that he would always cherish the memories of your time together, he couldn't help but wonder what could have been if he had been brave enough to confess his own feelings to you.
‘No,’ He thought to himself as he took a deep breath. ‘It’s better this way. There’s no one I trust more than him. Suguru would be good. It’s better this way.’
As Satoru grappled with his inner turmoil, he often sought solace in the mantra that he had no regrets. Yet, as he reflected on the choices he had made, a nagging sense of remorse crept into his heart. He couldn't shake the feeling that he should have told you the truth, should have confessed his feelings before it was too late.
In hindsight, he couldn't help but wonder how things might have been different if he had been brave enough to lay bare his heart to you. Perhaps you would still be alive, by his side, sharing in the joys and sorrows of life together. But now, as he looked back on the past, he knew that dwelling on such thoughts was futile.
It was too late for "what ifs" and regrets now. The past was set in stone, immutable and unchangeable. All he could do was carry the weight of his unspoken feelings and forge ahead, determined to honor your memory in the best way he knew how.
And so, despite the ache in his heart and the burden of his silent regrets, Satoru resolved to live each day to the fullest, cherishing the memories of your time together and carrying your spirit with him wherever he went. For in the end, he knew that dwelling on the past would only serve to hold him back from embracing the future that lay ahead.
You were too far for him to reach and too far for him to love.
You were like that when you were alive and now even in death.
But he thinks he will never love anyone else as he had loved you.
In this life and in the next and the other one after that, it’s only you.
In that next life, he hopes that he could finally tell you everything.

HE MEMORIZED EVERY MOMENT HE HAD WITH YOU. As Satoru's mind replayed the harrowing scene of finding you that fateful day, the vivid imagery seared into his memory with agonizing clarity. Your blood, a stark contrast against the dark cavern walls, painted a gruesome picture of the tragedy that had unfolded. It coated the steep stairs, pooling around your lifeless form, a haunting testament to the violence that had taken place.
As Satoru stood frozen amidst the horror of the scene before him, the weight of the moment bore down upon him like a suffocating blanket, threatening to crush him beneath its unbearable heaviness. The sight and smell of your blood, mingled with Riko's, assaulted his senses, leaving him reeling with a nauseating mixture of shock and despair.
Your blood, brighter than any ruby stone he had ever seen, stained the ground beneath him, a vivid reminder of the tragedy that had unfolded in the depths of the cavern. It coated his shoes, a tangible testament to the violence that had torn through your lives with merciless force.
But amidst the horror, there was a poignant sense of sacrifice and bravery that lingered in the air. You clung to Riko with every last bit of strength and warmth you possessed, a selfless act of protection that spoke volumes of your innate goodness. Satoru had always known you to be a good person, perhaps too good for the cruel and unforgiving world of Jujutsu sorcery. He had feared for your safety, knowing that your tender heart could easily become a target in a world devoid of mercy.
The realization that you had died protecting another, that you had given your life to save someone else, sent a shiver down Satoru's spine. Died. Lived. The words echoed in his mind, their meaning lost in the unfathomable depths of grief and disbelief. They were both past tense, both irrevocably done, leaving him grappling with the unbearable finality of your loss.
In that moment, Satoru felt the overwhelming urge to scream, to lash out against the cruel injustice of it all. But as he stood frozen in place, his body trembling with suppressed emotion, he knew that there was nothing he could do to change what had happened. All he could do was bear witness to the devastating aftermath of your sacrifice, haunted by the knowledge that he had lost you forever.
For Satoru, who had always known himself to be the honored one, a god among men, the scene before him was a brutal awakening. Despite his divinity, he stood immobilized, his mind unable to process the enormity of the loss before him. You lay cold and lifeless, your once bright eyes now devoid of the light that had captivated him so.
As he knelt beside you, his heart heavy with grief, Satoru felt the weight of his own mortality pressing down upon him. In that moment, he shed the facade of godhood, allowing himself to embrace the raw humanity of his emotions. Tears flowed freely from his eyes as he mourned the loss of everything good in his life, stolen from him in the blink of an eye.
And as he grieved over your lifeless form, Satoru realized the bitter truth that even his godlike powers were powerless to bring you back from the brink of death. In that moment of profound sorrow, he was just a man, left to mourn the loss of the one he had loved so dearly, forever haunted by the knowledge that he could never bring you back to life.
As the days passed and the reality of your absence settled in, Satoru couldn't help but notice the profound impact your death had on Suguru. It was as if a darkness had descended upon his once bright and vibrant friend, twisting him into something unrecognizable. Satoru watched in horror as Suguru's grief morphed into madness, consuming him with a relentless fury that knew no bounds.
It was Suguru who had led the charge to burn the village to the ground, a devastating act of vengeance fueled by the pain of losing you. And as the flames engulfed the once peaceful streets, Satoru felt a sense of helplessness wash over him, knowing that there was nothing he could do to stop the chaos and destruction that Suguru had unleashed.
But perhaps the most haunting moment came when Suguru turned to him, eyes burning with a fierce intensity, and posed a question that would haunt Satoru for years to come. "Are you the strongest because you're Gojo Satoru?" Suguru's voice was like a whisper in the darkness, his words laden with a weight that Satoru could hardly bear. "Or are you Gojo Satoru because you're the strongest?"
It was a question that cut to the core of his identity, forcing Satoru to confront the very essence of who he was. And as he grappled with the weight of Suguru's words, a sense of panic began to claw its way up from the depths of his soul.
In the solitude of his bedroom, Satoru was overcome by a wave of overwhelming emotion, his chest tightening with each labored breath as tears streamed down his face. He cried out for you, his voice choked with anguish and longing, as he reached out for the comfort that could never be found.
In that moment of profound despair, Satoru realized just how deeply he had loved you, and how your absence had left a void in his heart that could never be filled. And as he lay there, trembling and broken, he knew that he would spend the rest of his days haunted by the memory of your loss, forever yearning for the one he could never have again.
The weight of his grief was like an anchor, dragging Satoru down into the depths of despair. With each passing day, the pain of your absence grew more unbearable, a constant reminder of all that he had lost. The thought of leaving to find you crossed his mind more than once, a desperate attempt to escape the suffocating grip of his sorrow. But every time he entertained the idea, he was met with the haunting memory of your eyes, filled with judgment, disapproval, and above all, hurt.
In those moments, Satoru realized that he could never bear to be the cause of your pain. The mere thought of seeing the disappointment in your gaze was enough to send a shiver down his spine, a stark reminder of the love and compassion that had always flowed between you. He couldn't bear to imagine you grieving for him, carrying the burden of his loss on your shoulders.
No, Satoru knew that he couldn't allow himself to wallow in self-pity and despair, not when your memory was still so fresh in his mind. He owed it to you to honor your legacy, to live his life in a way that would make you proud. Despite the overwhelming grief that threatened to consume him, he resolved to carry on, to strive for nothing less than your happiness.
For in the end, that was all that truly mattered to him—to see you smiling, to hear your laughter, to know that you were safe and content. And so, with renewed determination, Satoru vowed to carry your memory with him always, a guiding light in the darkness of his grief.
And so as those tears dried each and every day.
Your picture was tucked away in his inner pockets.
He thinks he had to live on, so that you could live on.
He thinks that he stays alive for you, no matter what.

SATORU THINKS HE REMEMBERS YOU LIKE THIS. On that rare day off, when the usual hustle and bustle of Jujutsu missions seemed to fade into the background, you and Satoru found yourselves with an unexpected opportunity to spend time together. With Suguru and Shoko occupied elsewhere and Haibara and Nanami tied up with their own commitments, it was just the two of you left to fend for yourselves.
As you pleaded with Satoru to accompany you on a day of exploration, he initially feigned reluctance, claiming he had other things to attend to. But your persistence wore down his defenses, and soon enough, he found himself agreeing to join you on your adventure.
Despite his protests, Satoru couldn't deny the excitement that bubbled within him at the prospect of spending the day with you. Your infectious enthusiasm and boundless energy were like magnets, drawing him irresistibly towards you.
Dressed in vibrant pastel hues that seemed to complement your radiant personality, you looked utterly captivating in Satoru's eyes. He couldn't help but feel his heart skip a beat at the sight of you, a rush of warmth flooding his chest as he marveled at your beauty.
As you set out together, exploring the nooks and crannies of the world outside the confines of the Jujutsu world, Satoru found himself unable to tear his gaze away from you. Every laugh, every smile, every twinkle in your eye seemed to etch itself into his memory, imprinting itself upon his heart in indelible ink.
Despite the uncertainty and chaos that often defined their lives as Jujutsu sorcerers, in that moment, everything seemed perfect. It was just the two of them, lost in the magic of the day, reveling in each other's company and the simple joy of being alive. And as Satoru watched you, he couldn't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for the precious moments they shared together, and the gift of your presence in his life.
As you and Satoru ventured deeper into the botanical garden, the serenity of the surroundings enveloped you like a comforting embrace. Each step you took seemed to lead you further away from the chaos of the world outside, immersing you in a tranquil oasis of greenery and blossoms.
The air was redolent with the delicate fragrance of flowers in full bloom, their perfumed scents mingling together to create a symphony of olfactory delight. Every inhalation fills your lungs with the sweet perfume of roses, lilies, and jasmine, transporting you to a realm of pure sensory bliss.
Sunlight filtered through the lush canopy overhead, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow upon the verdant foliage below. The gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze provided a soothing soundtrack to your leisurely stroll, accompanied by the occasional chirp of a distant bird or the soft hum of buzzing insects.
As you meandered along the winding paths, you couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty that surrounded you. Vibrant bursts of color greeted your eyes at every turn, as though nature itself were putting on a dazzling display just for you.
You reached out to touch the velvety petals of a blooming rose, marveling at the delicate intricacy of its design. Satoru watched you with a fond smile, his own eyes alight with appreciation for the natural splendor that surrounded you.
Together, you continued to explore the botanical garden, each moment filled with a sense of peace and tranquility that seemed to wash away the cares of the world. In this enchanted sanctuary, time seemed to stand still, allowing you to savor every precious moment spent in each other's company amidst the beauty of nature.
As you strolled hand in hand, Satoru couldn't help but notice the way your eyes lit up with wonder at the sight of each new flower you encountered. He found himself captivated by the joy reflected in your expression, a stark contrast to the darkness that often clouded his own thoughts.
At one point, you paused in front of a bed of sunflowers, your favorite flowers, and exclaimed in delight at their cheerful appearance. Satoru watched you with a fond smile, taking in the way the golden petals seemed to dance in the gentle breeze, illuminated by the warm rays of the sun.
"What is it about sunflowers that you love so much?" he asked, genuinely curious to hear your thoughts. He admired the way your face lit up as you spoke about the flowers, your passion and enthusiasm shining through with every word.
You turned to him, a soft smile playing on your lips as you explained, "Sunflowers always remind me of hope and resilience. No matter how dark things may seem, they always find a way to turn towards the sun, seeking out its warmth and light. I find that incredibly inspiring."
Satoru listened intently, his heart swelling with warmth at the sincerity of your words. In that moment, surrounded by the beauty of the botanical garden and the company of someone he cherished deeply, he couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over him.
As you continued your leisurely stroll through the garden, Satoru found himself feeling grateful for the simple moments of joy that you brought into his life. In your presence, he felt a glimmer of hope and optimism, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there was still beauty to be found in the world. And for that, he was truly grateful.
In those ten years, not a day had gone by without Gojo Satoru thinking of you, longing for the warmth of your smile and the gentle touch of your hand. Your absence weighed heavily on his soul, a constant reminder of the void that had been left behind when you departed from this world.
As he stood before your grave, surrounded by a sea of sunflowers swaying in the breeze, Satoru felt a wave of bittersweet nostalgia wash over him. The vibrant blooms seemed to echo the radiant spirit you had embodied in life, their golden petals a testament to the joy and beauty you had brought into his world.
With trembling fingers, Satoru traced the letters of your name etched into the stone, each stroke a silent prayer for your peace and happiness in the afterlife. Though he couldn't bring himself to admit it, a part of him still clung to the hope that somehow, someway, you were still out there, watching over him from afar.
But deep down, Satoru knew the truth. You were gone, forever beyond his reach, and no amount of longing or regret could change that fact. And so, with a heavy heart, he bowed his head in silent reverence, offering up a silent vow to honor your memory for as long as he lived.
In that moment, amidst the sunflowers and the gentle rustle of leaves, Gojo Satoru found solace in the quiet beauty of your final resting place. And as he stood there, lost in his memories. Memories that were dried and gone, leaves that had seen autumn over and over. Memories that had gotten him through the coldest whispers of winter and frostbite.
As Satoru knelt before your grave, he couldn't shake the haunting realization that your soul was bound to this earth, tethered to Suguru by an unbreakable bond of love and guilt. He had messaged Suguru, informing him of your final resting place near Gojo Manor, but he knew deep down that Suguru wouldn't visit you. Not out of lack of care, but out of overwhelming guilt and remorse for the role he played in your tragic demise.
Suguru had loved you too much to let you go, and in his desperation to protect you, he had unwittingly sealed your fate. Your body lay here, beneath the soft earth and sunflower blooms, but your soul was intertwined with Suguru's, trapped in a perpetual cycle of longing and regret. He liked to believe that you split your soul, that somehow you gave him a part of you. To feel that he would not truly be alone. But he knew better than that. He was deluding himself. Still, he did not care. He promised to take care of you. And he would. He’d always take care of you, as he had these past ten years. As he would all his life.
As Satoru gazed upon your grave, a sense of profound sadness washed over him, mingling with the guilt and remorse that weighed heavily on his own heart. He had failed to protect you, failed to keep you safe from harm, and now he was left to mourn your loss in silence. No one truly could love you like he and Suguru had. No one knows this pain other than his best friend.
"Hey there," he began softly, his voice barely above a whisper. "It's been a while, hasn't it? Ten years... feels like a lifetime."
"I've been doing my best to honor your memory," he confessed, his voice tinged with regret. "But it's never easy, you know? Sometimes, it feels like I'm just going through the motions, pretending that everything's okay when it's not."
As he spoke, Satoru's hand reached up to his silk bandages, lifting it away to reveal the vibrant blue eyes that had long been hidden from the world. You have loved his eyes at one point. You told him how they remind you of the blue sky in summer. Yet now that you were gone, he couldn't find it in his heart to let the world witness them again.
For a moment, he allowed himself to be vulnerable, to let his guard down and show you the depths of his pain. You were the one person, besides Suguru, that saw every facet of him. Perhaps you will always the the person left in this world, even when you weren't here anymore, that will see such side of him. You were the person he could only ever be so truthful to.
"I miss you," he admitted, his voice thick with emotion. "Every day, in every way, I miss you. And I wish... I wish I could turn back time, change the course of fate, and bring you back to me. But I know that's not possible."
With a heavy sigh, Satoru replaced his blindfold, shielding his eyes once more from the world. But as he rose to his feet and prepared to leave, a sense of peace settled over him. Though you were gone, your memory would live on in his heart forever, a beacon of light in the darkness that threatened to consume him.
"Rest well, my dear," he whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of your headstone. "I'll always be here, watching over you. And I promise... I'll never forget you."

Hi y’all. This is a little more real than the usual kind of stuff I post on this blog, and I’m quite possibly doxxing myself here, but it’s important. This is a message to everyone, but ESPECIALLY to my fellow Aussies — please pause and read for just a minute.
Victoria Park (also known by its Turrbal name, Barrambin) is a massive green space in the heart of Brisbane city. Before colonisation, it was a gathering place for a number of local indigenous peoples. Since then, it’s been a landfill, an army base, and a golf course. In the last five years, the Brisbane City Council have been carrying out a master plan to restore the park by reintroducing native plants and wildlife, reopening the waterways, and inviting the community back into the park in a way that honours it’s importance as a First Nations site.
I’ve lived in Brisbane since I was born, and Barrambin has been a part of my whole life. My parents took me on hikes there when I was a kid. My highschool graduation was held at the old golf club’s events centre. Throughout university, my friends and I gathered there to study, have picnics, play sports, make art.
The LNP, Australia’s conservative party, just announced their decision to raze Barrambin to the ground to make way for a new Olympic stadium. Let me be clear: the stadium does not need to go there. It’s a contrarian move that goes against the previous government’s commitment to preserving the park, and it’s been widely criticised by indigenous leaders and environmental advocates.
As a queer woman who believes in human rights, there’s a lot about the LNP that make me angry. But this feels tragically tangible. It’s a fucking outrage, and we shouldn’t ignore it.
The website linked above is for an activist group called Save Victoria Park. They’ve been active since 2020, and they’re currently rallying to try and prevent the LNP with going though with their plan. They have a gofundme, and a number of resources for other ways you can help. I’ve worked with them before in my capacity as a community artist, and they do real and meaningful work.
Please check them out and share this around. And if you’re a Brisbane local, come to Barrambin while you still can.
I’m tagging the few auspol accounts that I know, sorry if its annoying. @auspolmemes @auspoliticspixie @batshit-auspol @offical-auspol

“Imagine we lived in a time in which there was no Pornhub.
No OnlyFans, no revenge porn, no mega brothels, no normalisation of prostitution as a way for female students to fund university courses. No choking and hitting as 'standard' sex, no 'rough sex' defences, no child sex dolls on Amazon, no exponential rise in sexual assaults in schools.”

you seem to be the most knowledgable classic who person around so, question, if you feel like answering: if i wanted a passing knowledge of all the companions (and their doctors), do you have a list of one serial each that best displays their personalities? i'm realizing as i type this that it's kind of a big question so no worries if not lol
absolutely not the most knowledgeable classic who person around but i have (for better or worse) finished watching its twenty-six year run, so here is a poor attempt to sum it up. as a rule i've given most companions more than one serial, but hopefully they'll give you a broad idea of each companion.
first doctor era
susan:
an unearthly child (especially part 1): her introduction
marco polo: susan isn't handled brilliantly in her original run, but this one gives her a rather sweet friendship with a girl her own age for once
the dalek invasion of earth: her exit
ian and barbara:
an unearthly child: their introduction
the edge of destruction: short but sweet, everyone goes insane and barbara chews the doctor out for being a murderous git
the aztecs: strongly focused on barbara and her, uh, white saviour complex, which is a hell of a character flaw to give your science fiction protagonist!
the romans: everyone loves this one, and certainly it'll give you a good idea of the domestic side of their relationship… and also The Horrors. be warned, barbara is threatened with rape
the chase: a delightfully messy romp across the universe. here be bad american accents. also has a fantastic exit for ian and barbara
vicki:
the rescue: her introduction, and a damn good one at that
the romans: unlike ian and barbara, vicki has a lovely time! the doctor and vicki are at peak shenanigans here
the space museum: you know what the kids wants? that's right, anarchism and revolution
the myth makers: almost entirely lost to the sands of time, but remarkably good considering. vicki's exit is not what you might call compelling, but it's still a delightfully fun serial for her
steven:
the chase: he only appears in the last episode, but it is his introduction and it is remarkably effective
the time meddler: in which steven is extremely hotheaded and acts about as sanely as you would expect from a man who spent two years in total isolation from any other sentient being. also it's delightfully fun
the massacre: Steven's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. no, worse than that. has a beautiful confrontation at the end between the doctor and steven; steven is the first companion to truly break
for dodo i'll just recommend the one: the gunfighters. and for the first doctor (who you can easily get a taste of through any of the above), i'll also suggest the savages (steven's last story) and of course the tenth planet.
second doctor era
ben and polly:
the war machines: their intro, and the first base under siege. enjoy them whilst you can. great companion intro, though!
the highlanders: more for polly than for ben, though he does get some fun bits. polly, meanwhile, goes around mugging english officers for the fuck of it. probably her best serial
the moonbase: let's all dissolve cybermen with acid!
the macra terror: Ben Gets Indoctrinated. the macra do not exist! a real classic
jamie:
the faceless ones: he's barely in his first few serials, and this is the first one where he gets some proper characterisation and moments in his own right
the evil of the daleks: in which a companion once again chews out the doctor, and also, there are daleks
the war games: goes without saying. maybe don't watch this one for an introduction to jamie, though!
victoria:
tomb of the cybermen: victoria's first outing as a companion
the enemy of the world: look it's just a really good serial okay
fury from the deep: i struggle to think of any one serial that can easily summarise victoria, but this is the conclusion to the character arc she goes through, and as a consequence probably most focused on her personally
zoe:
the wheel in space: her introduction, and will give you a fairly clear idea of how she starts out
the mind robber: a fantastic serial in its own right, and jamie and zoe are both great here
the krotons: an okay serial, but it has some lovely moments for zoe and zoe with the doctor
for the second doctor specifically, check out power of the daleks and, of course, the war games
third doctor era
liz only appears in four stories, all in season 7, and all of season 7 is pretty good, so i'd suggest just putting on spearhead from space and going from there. the brigadier likewise appears in all of season 7, if you fancy serials for him specifically.
jo:
terror of the autons: her introduction, and also the master's, and also also yates'. there's a lot going on here. it's fun.
the dæmons: who would win? satan, or jo grant? the answer is jo obviously
the time monster: you just had to be there. jo continues to defeat epic forces of nature
the green death: jo's exit, and really well done considering they married her off
sarah:
the time warrior: her introduction, and a fun mockery of historicals
invasion of the dinosaurs: um, don't watch this one without first watching at least some of seasons 8-10. that aside: this is one of my favourites for sarah specifically, she's in top deranged form here
robot: this one is about sarah and a robot and her friendship with it and everyone else is irrelevant okay
the seeds of doom: all of season 13 is fantastic but listen we've all got trapped in a composter from time to time
the hand of fear: her exit, and i mean the last five minutes are magnificent
for the third doctor specifically, i actually quite like day of the daleks, and of course the three doctors is good.
fourth doctor era
harry:
the ark in space: i'm honestly not sure harry gets any real defining serials, but if he did, it would probably be this one. he spends most of robot being tied up or knocked unconscious or standing in the background looking pretty.
genesis of the daleks: a classic for a reason. he gets his foot stuck in a clam.
leela:
the face of evil: this is The leela serial. her introduction. fantastic on every level. she's an atheist thanks
horror of fang rock: sometimes you have to slap annoying screaming women. great horror
the sun makers: see vicki, the space museum; women love nothing more than revolution
romana:
the pirate planet: it takes romana .5 seconds to start imitating the doctor. she gets some really good lines in this one
city of death: ah, the eternal classic
the horns of nimon: ah, the other eternal classic, though maybe not for the right reasons
shada: like city of death, this is romana at the height of her adamsian whimsy
warriors' gate: one of my absolute favourite serials. romana's exit.
adric:
full circle: his introduction. for a brief and beautiful moment he almost worked as a character.
the keeper of traken: probably the closest adric comes to being a decent companion. he works better with four than five in my opinion
earthshock: yes, this is his exit. no, it's not that good
for the fourth doctor, he has that rare companion-lite serial: the deadly assassin. i'm also a fan of the androids of tara and state of decay.
fifth doctor era
nyssa:
the keeper of traken: she's not a companion in this one, only a side character, but she's pretty good as a side character
castrovalva: everything happens so much
tegan:
logopolis: her introduction, and a damn good serial to boot
kinda/snakedance: in which tegan is haunted by an eldritch snake
enlightenment: a fantastic and surreal serial
resurrection of the daleks: a wonderfully heartbreaking exit, shame about the daleks
turlough:
mawdryn undead: his introduction, the brigadier is there? don't make deals with gods, kids. unironically pretty fun
enlightenment: in which turlough tries to kill himself and gets tied up by pirates. also, more godlike beings.
frontios: weirdly focused on turlough in a very weird way. you'll see what i mean if you watch it
planet of fire: his exit, spent naked
for the fifth doctor, i'd recommend the visitation, the five doctors, and the awakening.
sixth doctor era
peri:
planet of fire: planet of shorts, more like. her introduction.
the caves of androzani: she is straight up not having a good time but at least it's a good serial
*crickets*
peri baby i'm so sorry
the mark of the rani. i guess.
mel:
paradise towers: it's camp okay. also the lesbian cannibals are a highlight
delta and the bannermen: i genuinely love this one
dragonfire: her exit, and weird but delightful
for the sixth doctor, i'd recommend vengeance on varos.
seventh doctor era
ace:
dragonfire: tells you all you need to know about her, but wait! every other serial she's in is a fucking banger!
remembrance of the daleks: this teenager kills fascists. ICONIC
ghost light: it's not "confusing", it's "warriors' gate". and warriors' gate is confusing but that's a good thing
the curse of fenric: a really great serial with parallels to the god complex and also communism repels vampires
survival: lesbian furry ace + the master is there
for the seventh doctor, i'd recommend the happiness patrol, silver nemesis (fuck you it's good), and battlefield (which, again, happens to have the brigadier in it).

Random Doctor Who Facts You Might Not Know, Part 68
The Second Doctor, Jamie, and Victoria once encountered a Dalek patrol after they landed on a peaceful planet. The Daleks recognized the Doctor as Ka Faraq Gatri but did not have time to fire on him as the Doctor had activated a beacon, having redirected the electromagnetic pulse out rather than up. This fried the Daleks alive and brutally killed the mutants within. Victoria was appalled after seeing the Doctor's hatred for the Daleks for the first time and, seeing him differently, decided that she will soon leave the TARDIS. (Comic: Bringer of Darkness)
According to one account, Ace died very young during her TARDIS travels. She was kidnapped by the Threshold and sacrificed her life to destroy one of the Lobri - psychic parasites eating the collective fear of humanity - with Nitro-9. In this version of events, she died cradled in the Seventh Doctor's arms. (Comic: Ground Zero)
One time, the Seventh Doctor discovered that Ace's TARDIS bedroom had been deleted, noting that the TARDIS seems to be planning ahead... (Comic: Cat Litter)
The Calendar Man was the figure in a Time Lord fairytale that the Eleventh Doctor encountered. The Calendar Man judges people; if they have not lived their lives well, he kills them and erases them from all memory. (Audio: The Calendar Man)
The Kraken was a rogue timeship (or TARDIS, simply put) with the exterior of a giant squid. She became Cousin Cecelia in the Faction Paradox. Her interior is just as organic-looking as her exterior. (Novel: Weapons Grade Snake Oil)
One time while looking through their wedding photographs, Alistair and Doris Lethbridge-Stewart suddenly started seeing images of the Seventh Doctor. They knew he wasn't there, but then they started to vaguely recall his presence. They believed the Doctor might have altered time, so he could attend the wedding. (Short story: A Romantic Evening)
When Leela found a "Wanted Dead or Alive" poster with the Fourth Doctor's face plastered on it, the Fourth Doctor complained about the picture they had chosen for it. He wished they chose a picture showing his left size. (Audio: Requiem for the Rocket Men)
The Decayed Master thinks other people should find his face distressing - he finds his face distressing. (Audio: Requiem for the Rocket Men)
When the Decayed Master thought he had killed the Fourth Doctor, he mourned about how insignificant the death was, said he felt empty like he himself had died instead of the Doctor, and wondered what he would do tomorrow. (Audio: Requiem for the Rocket Men)
The Seventh Doctor took Ace to London and Moscow in 1967 with the purpose of testing her to see if she could attend the Time Lord Academy. He had submitted an application on her behalf without telling her. A Gallifreyan Adjudicator even got involved to assess her potential. One of the tests set up for her had to do with the Ice Warrior Hsessh. Ace was, of course, furious about this. (Audio: Thin Ice)
The Ergon - one of Omega's creations, one of his agents in the matter universe - was once mistaken by Ace to be a man in a costume while she was working as a waitress (she served up a box of fries). (Short story: Anti-Matter with Fries)
Shortly after Leela's wedding, the Seventh Doctor showed up and met K-9. K-9, of course, recognized him because he always knew the Doctor. The Doctor urged K-9 not to inform anyone, even Leela, of his appearance and unclipped a gold medallion identity tag from K-9, keeping it as a "memento to remember his second best friend by." (Short story: Affirmative)
Peri's consciousness was projected into the past after being pushed into a stasis chamber attached to a chronotopic projector. Her consciousness was dropped into different avatars, including a male soldier named Perry, a man on a hot air balloon expedition named Perrault, a trapeze artist named the Amazing Perpugilliam, surprised that she appeared female again, a 19th century woman in Venice, a fisherwoman, and Pushinka, an astronaut dog. (Audio: The Authentic Experience)
One time, the Seventh Doctor was offered a fully functional brand new replacement TARDIS. While he was having this discussion, the TARDIS had a conversation with this replacement about whether Time Lords love their TARDISes. The TARDIS believes the Doctor does love her, but the replacement wasn't sure, thinking that they were meant to be used and then replaced. However, the Seventh Doctor chose to keep the older TARDIS. (Short story: Time, Love, and TARDIS)
