Puff Q&A
As published in The Times (Munster, Indiana) on August 8, 2000:
You asked the questions and we passed them along. Check out what the girls had to say to you. Q: Blossom, why do you always wear a red bow in your hair? Kayla Rosiar, 6, Calumet CH Blossom: Because I'm the leader and it goes wonderfully with my long red hair. Q: Bubbles, why are you a little afraid of bugs? They are harmless. Reyna Ortiz, 9, Hammond Bubbles: Bugs are gross, gross, gross! Except for ladybugs, of course. They're sweet and pretty. Q: Buttercup, what Is your favorite thing about kicking evil butt? Victoria Hanson, 11, Valparaiso Buttercup: Everything. I like kicking and punching and showing those bad guys that bad doesn't get you anything but trouble.

Q: Blossom, is it hard having two sisters that are the same age as you? How do you keep them out of your stuff? Jesslyn Truesdale, 7, Calumet City Blossom: No, it's not hard, since we've been together from the beginning. And since Bubbles and Buttercup have completely different interests, it's not hard to keep them out of my stuff. Buttercup likes stuff like punching bags, Bubbles likes crayons and I like books. Q: Bubbles, why do you think Buttercup is mean to you? Miranda Russell, 13, Valparaiso Bubbles: I think she's jealous because she can't color like me. Buttercup: Yeah, right. Q: Dear Buttercup: Why are you so angry all the time? James Oppolo, 5, Hammond Buttercup: I'm not angry. I'm just tough on crime and criminals. Q: Did you have a mom? I'm asking all of you. Allison Penilla, 9, Schererrille Blossom: Nope. Bubbles: Just the Professor. Buttercup: And he's the best dad anyone could ask for. Q: Why doesn't the mayor have a real name like George? Lauren Rental, 10, Hammond Blossom: It's just easier to call him the Mayor. Then he remembers what his job is. Q: Why don't they show the mayor's secretary's face? Kaitlyn Jagar, 10, Hammond Blossom: Ms. Bellum? Buttercup: We see her face all the time. Bubbles: She's beautiful. Q: Bubbles, can you talk to animals? Elizabeth Lanman, 5, Munster Bubbles: Yes, I can speak squirrel and monster and all other animal languages. Q: Dear Bubbles, I want to know if flying is fun. Selena Castillo, 4, Hammond Bubbles: Flying is the funnest. I get to see all the beautiful colors from way up high! Q: Buttercup, why did you pick green for your outfit? Trisha Madura, 5, Munster Buttercup: 'Cause green is awesome. Much stronger than that pink and blue that Blossom and Bubbles wear. Q: Blossom, what do you do in school? Tiffany Madura, 7, Munster Blossom: I like reading and writing and math. Anything to make my young mind grow. Q: Do you like Britney Spears? Karlie Figiel, 5, Hammond Blossom: I like classical music. Buttercup: I like rock. Bubbles: I like birdies singing. Q: What was your first show about? Kelsie Figiel, 7, Hammond Blossom: Well, there was that battle with Roach Coach. He wanted to take over the world, with his army of roaches. Buttercup: That was so cool! Bubbles: No, it wasn't! It was gross! All those bugs! Yuck! Q: How do the Powerpuff girls stay big and strong? Because they fight Mojo Jojo so much? Ellen Wyand, 4, Crown Point Blossom: We stay big and strong because we are superheroes. Bubbles: Thanks to Chemical X. Buttercup: But beating up Mojo sure doesn't hurt.

Who would you like to see on BFQOTY that has never made an appearance before?
okay i always take these kinds of asks too seriously but pls bare with me!!
when it comes to panel shows there is a spectrum of preparation: on the far left is a show like mock the week, where literally everything apart from a very smol amount of relevant banter is pre-prepared by the panel (they're given the news stories & scenes we'd like to see ahead of time, the standup categories are chosen around their pre-written bits, and so on); and on the other end of that spectrum is a show like big fat quiz, where the only thing you really prepare is potentially a team name. so — to answer this question i'm thinking about people who are very willing and very good at joining in, people who will comfortably banter with jimmy, people who don't always wait their turn to speak (which works better on a show like, say, 8 out of 10 cats). obviously jimmy throws to each team whilst the teams' answers are being revealed, but for the show to really succeed you need a lot more chat and goofing around and camaraderie than that — so who are some of these confident, friendly, funny people?
well let's get this out of the way we need victoria on bfq right? it helps a lot she's irl pals with jimmy so their dynamic is very comfy and she would probably have so much to say about the news or even admonishing the amount of tiktok-related questions LMAO it's great to imagine her with david but also what about team victoria and lee mack?? THE PEOPLE NEED TO SEE IT
nicola coughlan, graham norton, alan cumming, catherine tate (omg catherine and lee...please GOD...), huge davies, get me a doctor let's go jodie whittaker baybay or our man ncuti, would love to see some drag queens like miss lawrence chaney and the viv of course but there are sooo many amazing uk drag stars, kathy burke, ed gamble, morgana robinson, maggie aderin-pocock
get me my man. joe wilkinson. put him with roisin and one white onion
fuck it go big or go home: jennifer saunders and joanna lumley, fry and laurie(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), tennant and sheen (or tennant and tennant frankly georgia ily), the mighty boosh???
wildcard answer jordan north and william hanson? is that just me? i know jordan has done celeb juice a few times and he was great but i also know in my soul william would be fucking good on a panel show, and their friendship is too sweet
cheating but i'd love to see guz khan back on but with a different partner? i fockin love sarah but strategically speaking for lulz imo that year i think it should have ben judi & guz and sarah & jonathan. i understand wanting to change it up and give us new kinds of teams but i don't think those were the people to do it with. also bring back charlie brooker i have charlie brooker withdrawals........ (charlie on wilty in a couple weeks!!! ahhh!!!)
i'd love to see so many people!!! okay i am done with the longest response ever (do you guys ever read these like 'girl just answer the question')! what about you?? who do you want?

Taipei/Sydney, Aug. 22 (CNA) The Australian Senate passed an "urgency motion" Wednesday in support of Taiwan's sovereignty and participation in international organizations.
Senators agreed by vote to move the motion: "That United Nations (U.N.) Resolution 2758 of 25th October 1971 does not establish the People's Republic of China's (PRC) sovereignty over Taiwan and does not determine the future status of Taiwan in the United Nations, nor Taiwanese participation in U.N. agencies or international organizations."
Supported by lawmakers from across the political spectrum, the motion was co-sponsored by Senators David Fawcett of South Australia and Deborah O'Neill of New South Wales, both of whom visited Taiwan last month to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China's (IPAC) annual conference.
Addressing Parliament House in Canberra, Fawcett, of the main opposition Liberal Party, said the motion was "urgent" because of the "growing risk to the security and stability in the Indo-Pacific."
"It's important not just for the human rights of the 23.5 million people in the democracy that is Taiwan," Fawcett said, "but for the impact that a decrease in security and a conflict there would have on the rules-based order that underpins peace and security around the world, as well as for the global economic impact, which Australia would not escape."
O'Neill followed Fawcett's remarks by saying that "the resolution does not mention Taiwan or address its political status."
"Despite this fact, there is an ongoing and egregious campaign currently underway from the PRC to reinterpret the resolution and misrepresent what the resolution actually does," she said, referring to China's attempts to minimize Taiwan's participation in the international community.
O'Neill, of the ruling Labor Party, said it was "not in the interest of the international community to have 24 million Taiwanese excluded" from critical bodies such as the International Civil Aviation Organization and the World Health Organization.
Senator Jacqui Lambie of Tasmania said that "the people of Taiwan continuously reject reunification with the Chinese Communist Party, with less than 5 percent of support for the reunification in Taiwan."
"The Chinese Communist Party has no business in destroying democracy in Taiwan," she said. "Australia must stand up against the Chinese Communist Party and back the more than 22 million people of Taiwan who choose democracy and freedom over the authoritarianism of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)," she added.
Senator Raff Ciccone of Victoria, who is also deputy government whip in the Senate, said that Australia's economic, trade and cultural interests with Taiwan "cannot be understated."
Pledging to continue energy cooperation and support Taiwan's transition to renewable energies, Ciccone told the house that Australia was currently Taiwan's largest energy supplier, contributing "around two-thirds of Taiwan's coal and almost half of its natural gas."
Senator Pauline Hanson of Queensland voiced her view that Australia and the rest of the world "should recognize Taiwan for the independent sovereign nation it has effectively been since the 1950s."
"[The CCP] regime's highest priority is to capture Taiwan -- most likely by force -- and turn that beautiful island nation of 24 million free people into another oppressed, polluted, communist hellhole," she added.
Rebuking former Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating, who recently said that the whole world agreed with Beijing's position on Taiwan, Chandler described his claim as "false."
"I think there are questions to be asked about why Australians should pay to support private office for a former official who consistently pushes a false narrative about Australia's policy, especially when that false narrative aligns with that being pushed by foreign regimes such as the CCP," Chandler said.
Finally, Senator Linda Reynolds of Western Australia said Beijing had been "gaslighting" Taiwan and warned that China had formed an "axis of dictatorship and authoritarianism" with Russia, Iran and North Korea.
On Thursday, Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) welcomed the Australian senators' pro-Taiwan motion, describing it as "just."
"MOFA strongly affirms the Australian parliament's firm support for Taiwan's international participation and thanks Australia and IPAC for speaking out for Taiwan," the ministry told CNA.
"We also call on the international community to jointly counter China's misinterpretation of U.N. General Assembly Resolution 2758 and China's attempts to make false connections between the resolution and the so-called 'One China' principle."
"We will continue to cooperate with partners like Australia and other countries to jointly defend the core values shared by the global democratic camp and maintain regional peace, stability and prosperity," the ministry added.
The PRC claims Taiwan as a part of its territory and has ramped up threats to use military force to annex the country in recent years. Since assuming China's seat in the U.N. following Resolution 2758 in 1971, the government in Beijing has continually pressured other countries to exclude Taiwan from international organizations.

Join us as we celebrate the films that we love starting with Movies That Make You Want to HUG the Weekend! The List, in no particular order:
Tenet In Her Shoes John Wick Chicago It's Complicated Train to Busan Honorable Mention: Call Me By Your Name, I Am Legend
Tenet, 2020 From the opening scene, Tenet is an electrifying blend of heart-pounding action and mind-bending science fiction. Director Christopher Nolan delivers a captivating and visually stunning film. The Protagonist, portrayed by John David Washington, is a complex figure who moves through the film asking the same questions we have as viewers. The cast is fantastic, and there's this one unforgettable scene towards the end where The Protagonist has a revelatory, emotionally charged moment with Neil, Robert Pattinson's character, that leaves you heartbroken. I love this movie and will watch it again and again! -Alana
In Her Shoes, 2005 Often overlooked in the flurry of rom-coms released in the early aughts, director Curtis Hanson’s In Her Shoes exists as one of the most endearing films of the genre. In this 2005 gem, the film’s leads, Toni Collette, Cameron Diaz, and Shirley MacLaine, each deliver performances that are beautifully nuanced in telling the story of two estranged sisters finding their way back to each other, and themselves, after reconnecting with their estranged grandmother. Yes, this is a story about love - the unexpected ways we might find it, learning to permit ourselves to experience it, how it profoundly changes us, and what we are willing to do to rebuild it after it’s been broken - but this film is about so much more than that. In Her Shoes pulls the curtain back on how grief and mental illness change our relationships in ways that can reverberate through generations and how we might be able to pick up the pieces and build something beautiful for ourselves. This movie fundamentally changed me when I first watched it. I love watching movies exploring the depths of sisterhood, both loving and complicated, and this one just means so much to me. -Victoria John Wick, 2014 Keanu Reeves, a fan favorite, is dynamite in the John Wick series. The movies are action-packed, well-acted, and feature a simple yet intriguing storyline. Whenever I'm in the mood for an exciting film with snappy dialogue and an interesting cast, I always turn to a John Wick film. Among the series, the original John Wick is my go-to because what's more exhilarating than a grieving hitman seeking vengeance for his puppy and his car? I mean, if "you've effed with the wrong one" was a person, it'd be John Wick. I'm here for it! -Alana Chicago, 2002 Based on the 1926 play and 1975 stage musical of the same name, 2002’s Chicago is a soaring accomplishment from director Rob Marshall. This musical crime dramedy tells the spellbinding tale of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, both inmates on Murderess’ Row at Cook County Jail, as they chase celebrity and notoriety while awaiting trial. What is at once a tour-de-force of its own merit is also an enchanting homage to its source material, this film is one I simply cannot get enough of. The performances from Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, and Queen Latifah are electrifying and completely mesmerizing, each wholly embodying their lauded characters. Aside from the spectacular acting each delivers in this film, the musical performances are simply out of this world, with credit to the original music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb respectively, of course, but the production comes to life in a whole new way on the big screen. I watch this film a few times a year and highly recommend keeping the soundtrack in your rotation. -Victoria It’s Complicated, 2009 Oscar-nominated writer and director Nancy Meyers followed up a legendary four-film run (The Parent Trap, What Women Want, Something’s Gotta Give, and The Holiday) with 2009’s rom-com It’s Complicated. Starring Meryl Streep, with charming supporting performances from Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, this film follows a 10-years divorced baker as she navigates life as an empty-nester and discovers what might be next for her - which appears to include an affair with her now-married ex-husband (Baldwin) and a blossoming romance with the architect remodeling her home (Martin). This film explores the complications of divorce and moving on, while highlighting the joys and pits of rediscovering yourself, especially in your golden years. While this film was met with mixed reviews from critics, there is an undeniable sense of the Nancy Meyers charm that makes it the cozy and beloved film it is to me. Like any Meyers film, the set design is a character and story to discover in itself and perhaps one of my favorite elements of this movie - it’s an aesthetic feast! I have loved this movie for years and it’s one of those movies that pulls on your heartstrings, tickles your funny bone, and makes you feel hopeful for the future by the final scene. -Victoria
Train to Busan, 2016 Train to Busan is an electrifying and almost unmatched zombie film. Like any good movie, it has emotional depth. Your investment in the characters and their survival catapults you from scene to scene. Yeon Sang-ho’s directorial choices build the tension and suspense required for the film’s propulsion, but he also incorporates space for you to catch your breath. And with this plot, you'll need it. Gong Yoo and Ma Dong-seok are a great pair, using their ingenuity and sheer power to fight their way through zombie hoards. Whenever I'm looking for something exciting to watch, this film never fails to deliver. -Alana

~
Kapri watches, almost apathetic, as her beloved is strapped to the table. "It's okay," she soothes. "You'll be just fine in a few minutes, I promise."
"Let me go! Let me go, damn it!" the girl shouts, twisting and turning under the hands of Kapri's "help." The blond twists one way and then the other, meeting Kapri's eyes with her own. She's not just angry, she's furious. Kapri can see the storms in her beloved girlfriend's gaze. "You tricked me!" she accuses.
"Tricked you?" Kapri repeats. "No," she says. "I saved you."
With that, she turns away and lets her hired hands do as they please with her beloved. As Tori begins to scream, Kapri crosses the doorway and slams the door behind her. Maybe in the next life, Kapri thinks, leaning against the door with tears in her eyes. Maybe in the next life, but not this time. Kapri sniffles, blinking away her tears.
Later that year, Kapri will visit a grave. The grave will be for Victoria Hanson, daughter, sister, girlfriend. Gone, but not forgotten. Kapri will go with tears in her eyes, crying for the girl she loves, crying for the woman who loved her. She will kneel at the side of the grave and cry for hours. She will lay a bouquet of flowers on the graveside, peonies, ursinia, and yellow bells. Kapri will sit at the grave and cry until she can cry no more for her lost love and pray that next time will be better, but... Not this time.
Kapri sniffles as she stands and begins to head back home, wiping the tears from her face. Not this time.

..."I was born right before Australia — the "most successful multicultural society" in the world — elected Pauline Hanson to federal parliament, where she used her maiden speech to declare: "I believe we are in danger of being swamped by Asians."
But even before that, Australian migration policy was never truly welcoming to people who aren't white. There was the 1855 decision to impose a tax on Chinese migrants entering Victoria. The White Australia Policy made it difficult for non-European migrants to enter Australia from 1901 to the '70s. And since the 1970s, migrants from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa have continued to face racism.
People from migrant communities, like my parents, have succeeded in the 20th century in spite of the various hoops they had to jump through to call this place home. Many of their peers have toiled away, but not experienced the same success.
But it may be even more difficult now for migrants to achieve what my parents and others have.
My partner — who has lived in Australia for almost a decade, while working and studying for multiple university degrees — still doesn't know if she'll be able to live here long term. Many of our friends are in a similar situation.
Migrants can live and work in Australia for decades and still be uncertain about whether they'll ever be able to make a permanent home. There are some 12,000 asylum seekers in Australia with no permanent rights to work or study, while offshore processing still has bipartisan government support. And a 2021 study found three in four international students were being paid below minimum casual wages by their employers.
Meanwhile, migrants with disabilities or health conditions continue to be denied visas and permanent residency under the Migration Act's health requirement.
We are wanted for our cheap labour and interesting food, but we are still not fully welcome.
I won't be grateful while Australia continues to market itself as a welcoming country when in reality our policies tell migrants and refugees that we do not belong."...

13:One of your favorite 80’s songs

17:A song that would sing a duet with on karaoke
23:A song that you think everybody should listen to 28:A song by an artist with a voice that you love
29:A song that you remember from your childhood
30:A song that reminds you of yourself
Oh goodness! Sorry I'm only getting to this, I had to have time to sit down and do all of these! :)
A song that makes me happy: The Sound of Music. I love this song (and movie) so much, I have the last line tattooed on my arm.
A song I never get tired of: Honey Honey from the Mamma Mia soundtrack. I've been listening to this song since 2008 and I still sing along just as loud as I did back then. It's a forever favorite.
A song from my preteen years: S Club Party. This song is still a genuine bop.
A favorite 80s song: Whoever's in New England by Reba McEntire.
A favorite classical song: I've sung and played so many over the years that they kind of blend together now but one opera song I've loved since I was in high school is Nessun Dorma (performed here by Pavarotti) and it's the one that sprang to mind. I don't know that I could pick a single favorite tbh.
A song I'd sing as a duet: I don't really sing karaoke so idk if I'd do it in that capacity but I would take any opportunity to sing Take Me or Leave Me from Rent.
A song everyone should listen to: It's not going to be for everyone, but you're never going to appeal to everyone. But I think that the way Eric Whitacre uses dissonance, dynamics, and words (both lyrically and the actual phonetic sounds) in the song Sleep is something everyone should experience. It's one of my all time favorite choral pieces.
A song by an artist with a voice that I love: How am I only supposed to pick one??? When I really consider vocal tone alone, it's gotta come down to Julie Andrews, Megan Hilty, or Celine Dion. So here's one from each of them. Crazy World from the Victor/Victoria Soundtrack (Julie Andrews). Be a Man by Megan Hilty. All By Myself by Celine Dion. (There's a really cool youtube video dedicated to the significance of the key change in this song, btw, and that's why I picked it. It's not even a top 5 fave for me but that moment is *chefs kiss* Def worth checking out for any Celine fans and/or music nerds.)
A song that reminds you of childhood: Everybody by Backstreet Boys takes me back to being 9 and dancing around my bedroom better than just about anything else. Spice Girls and Hanson come in as close runners up, though.
A song that reminds me of me: I don't really know but Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg is a song that I've always felt gives a Me vibe. That's the best I got for you lol
Thanks for asking!!

This release includes: Cats (closing), Without You, MJ, Groundhog Day x2
CATS September 8, 2024 (M) | Off-Broadway | 4K MP4 (10.54GB) | bikinibottomday’s master Cast: Baby (Victoria), Jonathan Burke (Mungojerrie), Tara Lashan Clinkscales (Booth Singer/Police Officer/Server), André De Shields (Old Deuteronomy), Sydney James Harcourt (Rum Tum Tugger), Rodrick Covington (Macavity), Dava Huesca (Rumpleteazer), Dudney Joseph Jr. (Munkustrap), Capital Kaos (DJ), Junior LaBeija (Gus), Robert "Silk" Mason (Mistoffelees), "Tempress" Chasity Moore (Grizabella), Bryce Faris (u/s Tumblebrutus), Xavier Reyes (Jennyanydots), Nora Schell ( Bustopher Jones), Bebe Nicole Simpson (Demeter), Emma Sofia (Cassandra/Skimbleshanks), Kendall Grayson Stroud (Electra), Phumzile Sojola (Booth Singer/Police Officer/Server), Garnet Williams (Bombalurina), Teddy Wilson Jr. (Sillabub) Notes: Great 4K capture of this production’s closing performance! Old Deutoronomy’s entrance sequence, which is approximately 8 minutes long, is blacked out due to the theatre-wide standing ovation. Some action on the balconies or in the audience couldn’t be captured, and because a lot of the staging uses the entire theatre, there are frequent wideshots. Some obstruction in the top right that blocks off a bit of action (mostly at the beginning). Some moments of wandering and unfocusing. The crowd is loud and enthusiastic, which is encouraged, but does mean some moments are difficult to hear and the audio is overwhelming. Curtain call is included (but mostly blindshot), audio is fed from external source. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBGUzF | ASKING $16 USD NOT FOR SHARING EXCEPT THROUGH ME UNTIL MARCH 2, 2025
GROUNDHOG DAY August 12, 2023 (E) | Off West End | 4K MP4 (9.9GB) | bikinibottomday’s master Cast: Andy Karl (Phil Connors), Tanisha Spring (Rita Hanson), Eve Norris (Nancy), Andrew Langtree (Ned Ryerson), Kamila Fernandes (Debbie), Aimee Fisher (Joelle), Nick Hayes (Ralph), Jacqueline Hughes (Piano Teacher), Ashlee Irish (Larry), Chris Jenkins (Gus), Billy Nevers (Fred), Mark Pearce (Sheriff), Ben Redfern (Buster), Durone Stokes (Deputy), Zack Guest (s/w Billy), Jez Unwin (Jenson), Annie Wensak (Mrs Lancaster) Notes: Great 4K capture of the run’s original closing date before the extension! There is a minor head obstruction on the bottom right that doesn’t block off much. There is also a pole obstruction on the far right that blocks off a little bit of action. Increased wandering / readjustment and unfocusing throughout leading to some wide shots and missed action. Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjAQSpK | ASKING $15 USD NOT FOR SHARING EXCEPT THROUGH ME UNTIL MARCH 2, 2025
GROUNDHOG DAY August 8, 2023 | Off West End | 4K MP4 (9.88GB) | bikinibottomday’s master Cast: Andy Karl (Phil Connors), Tanisha Spring (Rita Hanson), Eve Norris (Nancy), Andrew Langtree (Ned Ryerson), Kamila Fernandes (Debbie), Aimee Fisher (Joelle), Nick Hayes (Ralph), Jacqueline Hughes (Piano Teacher), Ashlee Irish (Larry), Chris Jenkins (Gus), Billy Nevers (Fred), Mark Pearce (Sheriff), Ben Redfern (Buster), Durone Stokes (Deputy), Zack Guest (s/w Billy), Jez Unwin (Jenson), Annie Wensak (Mrs Lancaster) Notes: Great 4K capture! Generally less well filmed than other videos. Increased wandering and unfocusing throughout leading to some wide shots and missed action. Head is sometimes visible on the bottom but never blocks anything. Some washout on wider shots. Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjAQt1j | ASKING $15 USD NOT FOR SHARING EXCEPT THROUGH ME UNTIL MARCH 2, 2025
HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD October 16, 2022 (M) | Broadway | 4K MP4 (13.63GB) | bikinibottomday’s master Cast: James Romney (Albus Potter), Brady Dalton Richards (Scorpius Malfoy), Steve Haggard (Harry Potter), Rachel Leslie (u/s Ginny Potter), Jenny Jules (Hermione Granger), David Abeles (Ron Weasley), Tom Stephens (u/s Draco Malfoy), Lauren Nicole Cipoletti (Delphi), Nadia Brown (Rose Granger-Weasley), Michela Cannon (Moaning Myrtle / Polly Chapman), Edward James Hyland (Amos Diggory / Albus Dumbledore), Karen Janes Woditsch (Professor McGonagall / Dolores Umbridge), Ben Horner (Sorting Hat), Stephen Spinella (Severus Snape / Lord Voldemort), Kevin Matthew Reyes (Craig Bowker Jr), Jax Jackson (Yann Fredericks), Dan Piering (Karl Jenkins), Will Carlyon (Cedric Diggory / James Potters), Judith Lightfoot Clarke (Trolley Witch), Kevin Rico Angulo (Professor Mazoni), Oge Agulué (V World General), Ted Deasy (Station Master), Ebony Blake (Madam Hooch), Jack Koenig (Ministry Official), Chelsey Arce, Quinn Blades, Kira Fath, Stephanie Gomérez, Spencer LaRue, Sarita Amani Nash, Alexandra Peter, William Rhem Jr, Maya Thomas, Chris Jarman (Voice of Phone Box), Paul Thornley (voice of Ludo Bagman) Notes: Great 4K capture of Rachel and Tom as Ginny and Draco respectively! The filming is a little rough, especially in Act One, due to usher vigilance. Minor obstruction that is most prevalent in the first few minutes, and a few short blackouts. More moments of wandering and unfocusing than usual. Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. https://mega.nz/folder/phZW3RBD#VOsOBZLheENBiz9zeSyhHw | ASKING $18 USD NOT FOR SHARING EXCEPT THROUGH ME UNTIL MARCH 2, 2025
MJ June 11, 2024 | Broadway | 4K MP4 (10.05GB) | bikinibottomday’s master Cast: Elijah Rhea Johnson (MJ), Apollo Levine (Rob/Joseph Jackson), Whitney Bashor (Rachel), Ilario Grant (u/s Michael), Max Chambers (Little Michael), Jace Bently (Little Marlon), Tré Frazier (u/s Tour Singer/Tito Jackson/Quincy Jones/Jackie Wilson [Vocal]), Bre Jackson (u/s Kate/Katherine Jackson), Gabriel Ruiz (Alejandro), Antoine L. Smith (Nick/Berry Gordy/Don Cornelius/Doctor), Joey Sorge (Dave), Lloyd A. Boyd III (Tour Dancer/Randy Jackson/Jackie Wilson [Dancer]), John Edwards (Tour Singer/Jackie Jackson/James Brown [Vocal]), Kali May Grinder (Tour Dancer/Soul Train Dancer), Carine-Kay Louchiey (Tour Dancer/Suzanne de Passe/Isley Brother [Dancer]), Michelle Mercedes (Tour Dancer/Isley Brother [Dancer]/Nicholas Brother), D. Jerome (s/w Tour Dancer/Fred Astaire), Michael Harmon (s/w Tour Dancer/Bob Fosse/Newscaster), Nick T. Daly (Keith/Jermaine Jackson/Isley Brother [Vocal]), Zachary Downer (Tour Dancer/Marlon Jackson/James Brown [Dancer]/Nicholas Brother) Notes: Excellent 4K capture of this show. Some minor head obstruction on the right that cuts off a little action. Increased wandering / readjustment and unfocusing throughout. Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBuGSH | ASKING $20 USD NOT FOR SHARING EXCEPT THROUGH ME UNTIL MARCH 2, 2025
WITHOUT YOU May 15, 2023 | Off Broadway | 4K MP4 (6.4GB) | bikinibottomday’s master Cast: Anthony Rapp Notes: Okay 4K capture of this moving show in its final few weeks. There’s increased wandering and unfocusing throughout due to the small space and intense usher presence. Some action on the extreme sides were cut off. In general, framing is much worse than usual as the camera was often pointed too high. Parts of the show in the second half were filmed in blind wideshot. Washout is semi frequent on wider shots. One exchange, lasting about a minute, was missed and instead a wall was filmed. Overall though, not a bad capture of a fairly difficult show to film. Audio is fed from external source, curtain call is audio only. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjADZ4m | ASKING $15 USD NOT FOR SHARING EXCEPT THROUGH ME UNTIL MARCH 2, 2025

Post 2: Lygon Street Foodscape
Carlton’s Lygon Street foodscape is recognised by its predominantly Italian culinary culture, often being referred to as Melbourne’s ‘Little Italy’. The strip comprises of numerous Italian restaurants, cafes, gelaterias, bars, and shops. Whilst other cuisines occupy some space along the strip such as French patisseries, or Mexican and Greek options, Italian cuisine continues to dominate the area since the rise in Italian migrants post-WWII (Hajek et al., 2023).
As seen in Figure 1, the lengthy Lygon Street strip preserves a bustling and busy ambience, especially at night. The sounds of cars accelerating, street traffic, plates clattering, socialising, Italian accents and music are prevalent along the street. There are a variety of places to choose from, ranging from stereotypical Italian restaurants with sentimental energy to elegant and costly rooftop bars with Italian inspired flavours.

I have had many experiences visiting this foodscape, given my Italian background. Although three generations of my family have now lived in Melbourne, exposure to elements of Italy have been preserved. Lygon Street has remained a central gathering point for my friends and family due to its inner-suburban nature and memorable flavours and scents. Seeing each other, sharing meals together, tasting and smelling the recognisable herbs and spices in a familiar and comfortable setting has allowed a sense of nostalgia to occur every visit to Lygon Street.
Furthermore, family traditions and frequent visits to Lygon Street have promoted my own aspirations to one day visit Italy. Whilst Lygon Street may encompass stereotypes or appropriations of Italian cuisine, this is the closest form of ‘Italy’ I have experienced.
Overall, I primarily enjoy visiting Lygon Street due to the memories I have associated with this foodscape.
