Had my post operation follow up this morning. I received the anatomical pathology for my appendix- acute appendicitis with serositis (read: angry little bastard tried to kill me for no reason at all, well, because he was slightly irritated). Doctor gave me a clean bill of health and offered the same counsel as the discharge nurses gave when I came home from the surgery: “don’t die”- which is VA code for, well, please don’t die. The stitches will dissolve within 120 days(ish).
