Looks like Singed is under Noxian custody (top left), which implies that the raid we saw in the teaser and the trailer lead to the widespread capture of multiple Zaunite citizens from multiple factions, including civilians.

And Jinx really is breaking these people out of jail. Jinx probably came for Singed first, but things happen and suddenly she's freeing everybody.

The irony shouldn't be lost on anyone that the most significant thing Jayce and Vi did in Zaun last season was lead a raid where not only were multiple unarmed workers physically assaulted by enforcers and a child was killed, but the civilian workers were still arrested in the end, including the child workers!

found another ellison book in a store but its a compilation made after his death without any of his bitchy little prologues to each story. like if i cant read about how annoyed he was about being tardy to everything in his day to day life before reading the ticktok man, or how he only wrote IHNMAIMS in one day based off a friends science fiction painting of what would later be the tedslug, or a borderline bragging anecdote about how he wrote a story in the middle of a dinner party to spite his friend who said 'no new story ideas are possible', then I DONT WANNT ITTT!

So I have a theory about “Time Enough at Last” .

Yes, THAT episode of the original Twilight Zone series, that one episode which is most likely one of the most heartbreaking pieces of media ever conceived.

So you know how the front of the newspaper Henry Bemis was reading said “H-Bomb Capable of Total Destruction”? For me, that never really meant destruction of the entire world, per se. The episode also never explicitly states that the entire world was decimated, even though that’s the way a lot of people put it. Imagine, if you will, that only Henry’s hometown and maybe a few of the surrounding cities/towns were destroyed and their populations killed. Some time after the episode’s end, Henry is found by someone who managed to hear his cries for help earlier, and is brought to a city that is still standing in the aftermath of the nuclear war. There, Henry makes a good living as a librarian, and is initially well loved by his new community. He changes his name to one that he feels better suits his passion for reading, either because it’s something he’s always wanted to do, or something deep down tells him that his wife may have survived the blast after all and he wants to avoid being found by her again. He also decides to start wearing contacts, wanting to avoid his glasses breaking on him again, possibly unwilling to relive that trauma.

All is bliss, until, as the decades wane on, the world around him changes to a totalitarian dictatorship. Freedoms are stripped away from the people bit by bit, and those who have a trade or career that is no longer useful in this dystopian society are deemed worthless themselves and condemned to death. Several things, including books, fade into obscurity, forgotten relics of the past, and with the disappearance of books comes the closure of libraries and bookshops one by one, as they are no longer used or funded by the public. It is around this time that a certain struggling, middle-aged man, a librarian, is targeted, kidnapped, and brought to justice - or what the government perceives as justice.

This man, formerly Henry Bemis, now Romney Wordsworth, becomes known as the Obsolete Man.

quick who’s writing the (body?) horror fic where remus is SO obsessed with sirius, he needs to have him, and knows the one and only obstacle in his life is james potter. so he plots.

he plots, gets into their group, gets close to all of them. but that’s not all. he slowly…very slowly starts replicating all of james’ personality traits, wears them like a winter cloak but all year round. and then, like the slowly boiling a frog situation, he eventually becomes james. the final step: taking over his body. getting rid of the man himself.

until all that’s left is sirius black and james-who-was-once-remus potter. but what’s an identity if u can have the man of ur dreams, the love of ur life?

i’ll have more thoughts on this season later, but so far my experience with watching this season of severance is like. okay to borrow a concept, there is an outie me who can look at the show from a craft standpoint and make judgements on pacing, structure, filming choices, etc. but when a new episode is on, the one actually following the story is innie me. since there was nothing in the narrative that i, personally, bumped up against*, i was sucked into each unfolding event like i would be when i’m reading a really good novel. my frustrations at certain director/showrunner decisions had no effect on my relationship to the actual story that we’ve seen so far, which i feel almost exists beyond those decisions about how we are shown it
