the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

the 'all marriage is gay as far as im concerned' except its me watching a man and woman character in a show i like and accidentally saying 'theyre so gay' because i literally forget thats not the word for romance because to me all romance is gay

I feel like many people have a fundamental misconception of what unreliable narrator means. It's simply a narrative vehicle not a character flaw or a sign that the character is a bad person. There are also many different types of unreliable narrators in fiction. Being an unreliable narrator doesn't necessarily mean that the character is 'wrong', it definitely doesn't mean that they're wrong about everything even if some aspects in their story are inaccurate, and only some unreliable narrators actively and consciously lie. Stories that have unreliable narrators also tend to deal with perception and memory and they often don't even have one objective truth, just different versions. It reflects real life where we know human memory is highly unreliable and vague and people can interpret same events very differently

the problem is that they get along. the problem is that they can’t stop themselves from falling naturally into a rhythm of riffing off one another and enjoying the other’s company. THAT is the problem. the problem is that it works and that’s the thing that caused all their issues. they like one another. they just click.

anyway in the past week the irish government has voted down two motions which would have condemned the genocide in gaza.

i need everyone to stop lionising ireland as if its not also a european government with strong ties to the us. american weapons pass through shannon airport and will continue to, because yesterday the motion to stop that was voted down 83 to 50.

other governments have done much more but somehow people still act as though ireland is the ultimate palestinian ally and exempt from criticism on its handling of palestine bc it was once colonised, even though that past experience clearly isnt being taken into account by the irish government when creating policy.

i live here i know there’s a lot of public support and sympathy for palestine, which is great, but that isnt reflected in government, and i think ireland should be treated like other countries whose governments have done nothing.

I feel like if you're following an account like yours, you know there is gonna be some R rated content involved and should be okay with that. I am following you and it didn't show up, nor did the reblogs? I was actively searching for it and had no idea Tumblr was sensoring content. No warning or anything. Is it standard practice for fic authors to do this or not? Honestly if I was you I wouldn't bother...

i think some fic authors throw the community label on because users are able to “suggest” them anyway. like, if i hadn’t, you can click on the three dots and suggest my post use the sexual content label and tumblr will “flag” it and put it on themselves. so it’s kind of inevitable if someone reports it.

i slapped it on bc i know how… uh. let’s say “funny”? people can be about mxm content and pegging. so i totally understand if people don’t want to see it!! or nsfw content in general bc i know fanfiction in general is another touchy subject! but just use the regular tag filtering system and block what you don’t want 🥲

i don’t think i’ll use the labels in the future. like i said, at this point getting flagged is worth it in the name of actual engagement.

but yeah, if you don’t have the sexual content label “allowed,” tumblr blocks the main post and any reblogs, so you won’t see any of it.

"It is wrong to make fun of someone for being born with a physical deformity" doesn't stop being true because the person was born from incestuous abuse. It's also not ok if they have a genetic condition, even if their parent knew the kid might inherit it. Or if their parents did risky things during pregnancy. Or ANYTHING ELSE.

Actually kind of ashamed of some of you people, I thought that maybe the fandom that rightfully condemns the way the writers treat cats like Crookedstar and Brightheart wouldn't be making jokes like "HAHA WHAT IF MOONPAW WAS BORN TWISTED AND MISSHAPEN BECAUSE SHE'S SO INBRED EWWW!" But I guess not.
