So I was doing some math, and I THINK Skully is almost as tall as Malleus without his horns

I think the main reference to his height is Epel being surprised they're the same age because he's taller than Sebek, yes? which I find interesting, considering Jade and Malleus -- two of the tallest guys in the main cast -- are also there. and, since I've never been one to not think waaaay too much about the absolute stupidest minutiae about fictional characters, I see two possibilities:

one is that Epel is extremely good at eyeballing heights (I actually do feel like he could be? like. I'd believe he can estimate someone's height fairly accurately by calculating based on the life stages of an apple tree, or how many apples tall they are, or something else apple-related like that.) and Scully does, perhaps, fall into that narrow margin between Sebek and Jade in height.

OR two, out of the three certified Tall Guys there, Sebek is Epel's main frame of reference because he's the only one he's had any real interaction with for, let's be fair, pretty obvious reasons.

SO in conclusion, we still have no concrete answers and will probably have to wait until next year when we get his card profile, alas alas. 😔

A Linked Universe meets The Dark Crystal AU! I don't even remember what started it at this point. I remembered that the Dark Crystal and Age of Resistance are things I like, blinked, and woke up three days later with an AU and a bunch of art.

The designs and the story are a wip and for fun so expect a lot of variation! (I have a few different beginnings, ideas for different designs, etc)! :D

Look I really like Anakin, but I also don't think that Palpatine had to work too hard to get him to fall.

Palpatine magnified Anakin's frustration with/distrust in the Jedi, but that's just it. He only worked with what was already there.

Anakin was just like that™. He wasn't an inherently *evil* person, and I think he is very good at heart, but he had massively obvious egotistical and selfish tendencies.

Anakin's whole thing was that he wanted to have his cake and eat it too.

He was understandably traumatised by his life as a slave, but he also kind of just refused to try and accept or understand the Jedi's teachings on attachment and emotional regulation. And accepted what Palpatine said because it suited him more.

The Council were 100% right to tell Qui-Gon that this kid was both too old and that his emotions were all over the place (and more than expected for even a kid like him. I absolutely think Anakin would have slaughtered the Tusken Raiders without any kind of external dark side influence in his life).

He didn't have to stay and be a Jedi once he fell in love with Padmé. Obi-Wan would still have been his friend/brother figure. And Anakin wouldn't have fallen into poverty, he could have easily found work and been just as technically powerful and famous, if not more.

But he thought/knew he was special, so didn't think it should matter that he broke the rules. He wanted the prestige of being a Jedi master and wanted to be with Padmé, so that's what he did.

He wasn't a perfect cinnamon roll that Palpatine managed to sink his claws into. He already fundamentally disagreed with the Jedi, but was too self-absorbed to just leave.

one thing i really wish people wouldn’t forget when it comes to suguru’s character is that his core desire is just to have a family. not in a nuclear family way, but in a “i want a place where i belong / i want to protect the ones i love” way…… literally everything else is just an extension of that desire. a means to meet that end. he broke down after being forced to realize that staying with his family meant having to watch them die, so he left and made a new one. and he got stronger. and his core wish was always, always always to create a world where he’d finally be able to protect them :(((((((((
