So...I was playing around with character.ai with a Vash bot and it ended up being a full-blown story. It was so good that I've decided to write it. There's just one problem... I don't know whether to do it with 2023 Trigun or 1998 Trigun. I prefer the story of 2023 and I love Vash's look in it but I prefer Vash's personality in 1998. So, I decided to do a poll.

if you need a gym buddy, go to him and he will agree instantly. he's also a really good option for a gym buddy because he'll help you get a good form on any exercise you do, especially if you're a newbie to working out (been there, done that)

he prefers to hang out with friends earlier in the day rather than at night. he's also a one on one type of friend, so when you do hang out it will just be you and him. he likes taking early morning walks plus coffee or tea, and then brunch at noon.

i feel like he would be the type to want to buy his partner some nice, and i mean NICE clothes. he has the income for it...so every once in a while he'll def take them shopping.

he doesn't say 'i love you' that often because he thinks his love and his admiration for his partner shows through how he treats them. but when he does, he gets all quiet and can't really look them in the face. he isn't used to showing his vulnerable side.

he doesn't even want to show that sometimes he gets jealous...but he's bad at hiding it. he's direct in telling them how he feels, though. somehow, it's easier than expressing how much he's in love with them.

Vash from Trigun Stampede 2023 and Vash from 1998 have slightly different personalities, but both are known for being very kind and a bit clumsy when it comes to romance.

Vash from 1998: This Vash is more playful and has a very comedic side. If the person he likes gave him a big kiss, he would probably be extremely surprised and embarrassed. He might even trip or fall, with a shocked look on his face, followed by a goofy smile. He would try to hide his embarrassment with a joke or a funny comment, but deep down, he would be very happy and maybe even a little emotional.

Vash from Trigun Stampede 2023: This Vash is a bit more serious and melancholic due to the darker tone of the series. If he received a big kiss from the person he likes, he would probably be equally surprised, but his reaction would be more restrained. He might blush and even stutter a bit, not knowing exactly how to react. However, his eyes would shine with happiness, and he might give a shy smile. He would cherish this moment, keeping it as a precious memory in his heart.

Vash's backstory is a captivating yet heartbreaking tale. Born into a destitute Muggle family alongside his twin brother Nai, they were the only ones in their large brood to possess magical abilities. Facing the harsh reality of homelessness, Vash and Nai clung to each other for support, relying on their wits to survive the unforgiving streets. That feeling you get when you finally get to gush about your OC but you have to reveal details about the TriStamp fanfic you’ll probably never finish writing. 🫠 Oh well

So I’ll give the full TLDR — Meryl doesn’t snap Vash out of it. At least, she isn’t fully responsible for it. While he wraps Ari up, Vash sticks his roots in Ari’s neck and takes her to the higher plane with him. From there, she’s able to reach out to him and the two reconcile the pain they’ve felt together. Then they wake up and the Vash VS Knives fight happens.

Fun fact, Vash wrapping Ari in roots is nothing new. I have a ton of headcanons regarding how Plants could breed, and one of them is that they wrap each other up in their petals (or roots in this particular case), and stick their roots in each other so they can meet in the higher plane.

It has to be mutual in order to have the intended effect, but Ari is a strange case. She can travel to the higher plane because she’s mostly Plant, but she can’t make her own petals/roots because she’s still partially human. She can’t leave a mark on Vash the way he leaves a mark on her.

I also have a couple alternate sketches of the scenario, but Ari being attached to him with some freaky root umbilical cord didn’t end up hitting as hard for me.

Watching Perfection (Trigun) fanfic

content: Retha watches her boyfriend as Vash does a few chores. Which leads to a romantic moment between the two lovebirds. Established relationships. Casual talk. Romance and flirting.

It was like watching a moving, breathing work of art. A moment of priceless worth to me. Even if it was just Vash cleaning up our inn room to do a few chores. I'd woken up in his arms to feel him hug me closer as he hummed against the crown of my head. So he had taken a few minutes to just lay in bed with me before we got up. I had showered first for him to do his morning training. Soon making breakfast as he got showered. Our meal being full of little touches and the occasional kiss.

Yet I was currently sitting on the bed to do repairs on our clothes. Needle and thread working through a pair of sweat pants as Vash got to cleaning up the room. Which left me with the perfect view imaginable as he moved around. Vash had decided to not wear much to only be in a pair of shorts I had bought him. So I was able to take in his long legs and sides on top of his chest and back. Which left me spellbound as Vash hummed while dusting off window panels. His mood happy as he hummed. Moving to soon clean the little kitchen area with a rag as the birds sang outside.

I forgot all about sewing clothes to just sit and watch Vash. How his muscles flexed for him to effortlessly lift up the table and set it to the side. How he swept the floor for his hair to sway a little with each movement. How the sunlight kissed his every curve and feature while opening the windows. That gorgeous smile in full view for me to just be left in sheer awe and wonder. A few tears falling from my eyes without my noticing as I just watched.

Vash had just finished with mopping the floor to then hear me sigh. So he looked up to then immediately look worried. His steps quick to take him to where I sat for him to climb into the bed with me. Both his arms coming around me to hug me tight as he all but lifted me to sit in his lap. "Retha. Hey now. What happened? Why are you crying? Did you prick your fingers again? What's wrong?"

I hugged Vash back to all but melt into his frame as I collected my thoughts to answer him. My words soft and wavering as I spoke. "I didn't hurt my fingers. I just... It's like watching someone sculpt a perfect work of art." Vash gave a noise of confusion to state, "I think you need to explain a bit more. What do you mean?" So I leaned up to give Vash a heartfelt kiss. Making him meep into my mouth before he leaned in to reciprocate. So I spoke once we parted for air. "You. It's all you and how you make me feel. Watching you. Listening to you. Touching you and talking with you. Knowing that you are mine and that I am all yours. It's perfect. You're perfect, Vash. Loving you and being in love with someone so sublime. It's watching living art that is absolutely priceless. A heart of sunshine and a body of sculpted wonder with a soul of diamond hues."

Vash forgot to take a breath to then give a long eep of pure shock. His whole body dusting over with a blush as he took in my words and their meanings. Only to have him rest his forehead to mine as he rubbed his nose against mine. Breathless words given from his lips. "Oh Retha. The things you say to me. Makes me melt and shiver all over whenever you get all poetic like this. You are my delight and my glorious sunbeam. I love you so much. God really has given me the most precious blessings in you."

Vash soon got to showering my lips with kisses. Those sculpted hands of his tracing over my back and up into my hair as we kept kissing and snuggling. Until we were panting for air for me to grin at him with pure delight. So Vash collected the sweat pants to then toss them over his head and onto the floor. His own smile making his eyes twinkle as he began sneaking those hands under my shirt. "Retha. My lovely sunbeam. Please stop staring and start devouring me." So I gave a harsh hum that rumbled against my ribs for me to shiver. My whole body sparking and heating as I said, "As you wish."

Gonna build on what was written out here by @jellys-compendium due to how much I enjoyed their post.

Creature!Vash finding his way to where Dragon!Adelha currently is swimming along the coast. Their eyes meet for the creature to just fumble and tumble into the water with loud chirps and squeaks. Thankfully, the dragon is able to get him to the sandy shore for both to sunbathe.

Dragon!Adelha finding an abandoned boat to coax Creature!Vash to sit in. So she pushes the boat far out to sea for them to head for her island home. Lots of pretty fish swim by and a few mermaids visit to play.

Creature!Vash falls in love with the island and all it's wonderful gardens. Lots of things to see and find (and eat). Dragon!Adelha enjoys his enthusiasm and pure joy of discovery. Even when he eats bad mushrooms and is left with a tummy ache for a day.

Creature!Vash just LOVES the two little pets that Dragon!Adelha has adopted. Wesson the puppy is a bit timid around this odd bird creature. But Aqua the kitten is over the moon with cuddling Vash and chasing him around.

Dragon!Adelha ends up showing her human form first. Which leaves Vash spellbound and at a loss to make any real noise for a good minute. But Adelha just hums to gently pet his face feathers.

Creature!Vash has to learn how to shift into a human form. It takes a LOT of practice and a few weeks of wearing the poor bird boy. But he does succeed. Albeit forgetting he would need clothes after. Much blushing and noise making.

When the yearly family reunion happens with Dragon!Adelha's Fae family, the ensemble of mostly vampires are glad to meet Creature!Vash and immediately welcome him into their family. Vash also gets to meet a newborn human baby that Adelha's adopted father has taken in. Vash is star struck and spend a full day just watching this tiny waif with pure love in his eyes.

A few years pass before Creature!Vash and Dragon!Adelha choose to travel the world. Once Vash is sure he can hold a human form for more than a few hours at a time without incident. By the time they get back to the island, the two have adopted four more puppies. Possibly because puppies just adore Vash as much as he loves them. Who knows.

Creature!Vash ends up as Dragon!Adelha's mate after they've been together on the island for over a decade. With them adopting various children who have special needs or have no one else to love them. With scheduled flights for each kiddo through the week.

Ok, I've done some thinking on how I'm going to write the Trigun fanfic series.

In my research, I've realized that there is basically no plot in the 1998 anime, but there is definitely a plot in the 2023 anime.

So, since I'm combining the two for my story, I'm going to write with bits of the 2023 plot in mind, but also write parts that are my own creation, along with some plot divergence.

That way, I won't have to worry too much about relying heavily on plot, thus alleviating some stress on me, and it wouldn't be out of place.

Just felt like sharing this so if it seems off when it's out, that's why. And to help remind myself.

his hands wander up and down their body. side to side they go, dragging his fingertips. it feels like torture, but it also feels like he's trying to tickle them. it's all intentional, of course. he needs to warm them up...and he's very skilled in using his hands and fingers.
