She then made a face before grinning. "Only like women. I even married one." An open marriage but seeing as she wasn't going to sleep with this man, it didn't seem relevant.

Taylah grinned at the acceptance, both relieved and actually excited that Charli had said yes. “Unless you’re someone who loves a party?” She didn’t think she’d ever get to that point considering she was pushing 50 and still found herself exhausted by them. It always helped having someone she cared about by her side who she could pour her attention and affection into and forget everyone else.

Charli watched as Taylah fussed over their appearance in the mirror. As Taylah's smile met her gaze in the mirror, the invitation hung in the air waiting to be answered. Charli hesitated, torn between not exactly wanting to go along and not wanting to turn down Taylah if she wanted Charli to join her.

With a quiet resolve, Charli met Taylah's gaze, her voice soft but sure as she spoke. "I… I'd love to come with you. If you want me there, I'll be there."

Anauk's chest rose and fell with quick breaths, trying not to sound like she was having an asthma attack in the middle of a hostile planet despite the way her head spun and how her stomach wanted to evacuate her last meal as quickly as possible.

They had gotten scratched by one of their attackers and was sure it had been minor, but they could still feel it oozing and they were sure what they were feeling was more than some minor blood loss. They'd tried to push through it and reassure Kate they were fine, but they were starting question that fact.
