hey guys, I'm still alive! here my question ❓

I realized that in retrospect, I've never drawn the MD trio in outfits other than the regular ones, I wanted to make some doodles of that, I left the decision up to you

My fellow dyslexics: I've created a dyslexia symptom survey.

The survey can be found: HERE

Why have I done this? Becuase dyslexia is a spectrum disorder and different people have different symptoms. And I find it really interesting. And I like working with data.

People without reading issues are also welcome to participate!

I will look at the results after a month (march 5th, 2023) and make a judgment on if I have a big enough dataset to work with. If I get enough feedback, I will do a comprehensive report (maybe record a video walk through of the results).

Please share so that I can work with a large dataset :-]

was hoping i’d feel better after work and i do actually! i was super tired cause i took drowsy allergy meds lmao. but it was rly fun to hang w the teens im working alongside. and i took calls for the first time (it’s a crisis line where u can call, text, or web chat) and it went a lot better than i expected. the calls take a lot out of you once your get off of them but while you’re on them it’s kind of energizing and more engaging than texts and chats. part of me wishes i could talk abt the things youth were talking to me abt but obviously confidentiality. but there was some stuff i rly related to and hit me right in the heart, and it feels like a privilege that these kids feel able to open up to me

Things I've thought about this morning:

-How buying one of the pieces of merch I've found from a creator I like might actually be an accurate shirt for me to wear in general (I've stretched for today, and the bones feel so Squishy, as reference to it w/out explaining more bc. I don't want to.)

-How I used to not fully understand why people w/arthritis were rather grumpy to outright mean in the morning (including patients at the clinic and also my grandparents.)

After all, my joints sucked even when I was a kid and it hurt constantly (likely undx'd juvenile arthritis, got mentioned once by my doc back then and then never tested for so who knows), but so what?

Surely all joints for everyone are like this and age doesn't affect that in any way, so there was no need to feel instantly grumpy once you're awake for the day (though I do want to say that you still shouldn't be like. Taking out that feeling on other people, the patients and my grandparents were in the wrong for that in my opinion, but I give them more grace re: that now.)

-Guys. Age affects it. It hurts so much worse. I stretched extra this morning purely bc I'd rather the bones and joints feel Squishy and slightly less Painful than just Painful and Sort of Squishy. The sounds I'm making when I get up are even louder than they used to be. I think the neighbours can hear me sometimes. I don't like that.

Idk what the point of this post was going to be aside from me whinging abt my joints, so let's call the moral of this post:

Maybe I should ask for that merch for Xmas from my family since all we're doing to celebrate this year apparently is buying gifts. Legit, Mum has no idea if they're even meeting up back in ND. Wild. But I digress; they don't know what else to get me so. Squishy Bones Shirt.

If you can safely stretch/yoga/something along those lines at some point in your day, do it. I did yoga more when I was younger and I never should have let myself lapse with it. I'm back to doing more of it but even then. The bones. The joints. Save your bones and joints and just stretch a little. That or join me in making noises such as 'OUaghh' and 'ARghhfuck' and occasionally 'woahlksjifhdsafhnj god I think I'm stuck here' whenever you need to get out of bed/up from the floor/out of a chair/sometimes while just like. Standing there doing dishes or queuing or staring blankly at a wall Blair Witch-style.

Yeah we intend to, we've been impacted with life to get to it but its there ^^

Also we do appreciate this message and since we have been doing things, we welcome these cause we are - as youd guess - very prone to forgetting 😂

We want to do some good analysis on it so we have been putting it off until we have some good mental space and time to work on it which while smart, always risks it getting eaten by the amnesia monster /lh

(maybe ill work on that this weekend for fun if I got time cause that would be self care for me)

Some little news!

I am now making quite public and accessible an interest check/survey that I’m using to measure people’s feelings toward the next V fic I have coming! While it’s not yet published, I’d love to know if anyone on Tumblr would be excited to see the fic when it comes!

For a bit of background, it'll be post-DMC5, V-is-not-Vergil AU, non-ship, and features a couple of OCs. The survey is very short and can be filled anonymously, so don’t be shy. I’d like to point out that, so far, respondents from AO3 have reacted positively, so I hope that’s an encouraging sign! ;u;
