Which online travel websites are changing the travel industry?
Here's a concise overview of how online travel websites are transforming the industry:
Traditional Giants:
>>>>Please click hare Fiverr<<<<
Booking.com: The largest selection of hotels, homes, and vacation rentals / Priceline: These titans offer a vast selection of hotels, flights, and experiences worldwide. Their competitive edge comes from bundling deals for savings and, in Priceline's case, the potential for bargain bidding on hotels.
Expedia Group (including Vrbo): Similar to Booking.com: The largest selection of hotels, homes, and vacation rentals, they excel with user-friendly interfaces and booking options. Vrbo's added strength is its focus on vacation homes and private rentals.
>>>>Please click hare Fiverr<<<<
Price Hunters' Paradise:
Kayak / Skyscanner: These metasearch engines allow for instant price comparisons across multiple airlines and websites. They also offer price watch alerts and flexible search tools to find the absolute cheapest deals.
Google Flights: Powered by Google's speed and efficiency, it enables quick searches, price tracking, and a visual "Explore Map" for finding destinations based on your budget.
>>>>Please click hare Fiverr<<<<
Beyond the Basics:
Airbnb: Disrupted the industry by emphasizing unique accommodations and local experiences, appealing to travelers seeking something different.
Tripadvisor: Invaluable for the wealth of reviews and ratings that offer travelers honest insights before booking.
are further changing how we find travel deals.
>>>>Please click hare Fiverr<<<<
Thank you

as an autistic board games fan how do u feel about balatros theming. i feel like it really embodies the pacing of an engine builder but more importantly the way you can grab and move the cards and blinds is so sensory
the ux is next level, its 50% of the appeal. built from the assumption that making a video game about physical deckbuilding is already a little weird, sells the physicality super hard to compensate. scoring feels like watching marbles bounce down a pachinko machine even though it's completely deterministic. the faux 3d effects are so scrumptious its unbelievable

Paradox of the Thirteenth, or "There's a surprising amount of Faction Paradox in Series 11-13"
Tumblr media
Despite not being many fan's top choice, the Thirteenth Doctor's era shared concepts with the Faction Paradox series surprisingly often. Some of these were explicit, such as The Paradox Moon featuring Siblings Same and Different (although these Siblings' Faction is otherwise unrelated to the FP Faction, as of 2023), whilst others are simply similarities in creative choices, again varying in how obvious they are, from the "Ashad" (Series 12 - The Timeless Children) resembling FP's technosapiens, to Time Lords "binding" time in Once, Upon Time (part of Series 13/Flux)
So, here I will attempt to list every possible connection between the Thirteenth Doctor/Chris Chibnal's era of Doctor Who and the Faction Paradox mythology
Firstly, an explanation as to why this is all happening...
Tumblr media
Explanation as to why the Thirteen Doctor is meeting Faction Paradox-esque entities.
The War has been ended for a long time, and the Great Houses have finally, actually, fallen (see The Timeless Children) leaving no one to hold up their imposed metastructure of history. Why didn't anyone invade in Series 1-7, before the Time Lords returned?, you ask. Well, it's not because The Day of the Doctor is a bootstrap, as I don't believe in perfect bootstraps, but rather because well... They did. During Series 1, the Reapers arrived, explicitly due to the lack of Time Lords (Father's Day), and so did a lone Dalek (Dalek), and finally the original Dalek Emperor's last Time War fleet (The Parting of the Ways). Then in Series 2, the Cult of Skaro arrived (Army of Ghosts/Doomsday), followed by Davros (The Stolen Earth/Journey's End)- who along with the Supreme Dalek, somehow survived the Crucible's fall (The Magician's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar)- and then the New Dalek Paradigm emerged, from survivors of the War (Victory of the Daleks). All this interference from War-time participants is what's preventing pre-Anchoring entities entering the Third Universe, as it echoes the status quo which was so hostile to their very existence.
Oh, and "Dvapara Yuga" means "the Dark Times, as understood to not be an early period of universal history, but rather the state of history metatemporally predating Rassilon's anchoring of the thread"
Tumblr media
She is born out of an interaction with a past Doctor (Twice Upon a Time) - if it wasn't for acausal (and unintentionally) intervention of the First Doctor, the Thirteenth Doctor never would have existed. This is a bit of a stretch, as interference forwards in a timeline is much less paradoxical than the reverse, but this is her first appearance so...
Tumblr media
The Solitract, from It Takes You Away, is an intelligent & conscious universe, exiled from the main universe in order to allow for it's creation. "Creation" here probably refers to Event One/The Big Bang, but, if one is on the train of "the universe before the Anchoring of the Thread didn't have a beginning, and the Big Bang was retroactively added by Urizen [Rassilon]", then this is very easily re-interpreted as a mention of the early Sun Builders (a.k.a Time Lords) cleaning up their area of spacetime in preparation for imposing rationality on it. To be even more bold, I may suggest that this isn't a universe at all, but instead an intercreational, a class of being first mentioned in The Book of the War, although one type was first mentioned in the BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures novel The Taking of Planet 5, as a "Swimmer". I propose that the Solitract is not a Swimmer, or a Leviathan, but rather a smaller intercreational, perhaps growing out of the Third Universe (the main DW/FP universe), before being banished by the Great Houses. See Explanation as to why the Thirteen Doctor is meeting Faction Paradox-esque entities at the top of this post.
Tumblr media
The Ux, from The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos, are clearly some gods from the Dvapara Yuga.
Tumblr media
Orphan 55 features a future version of Earth which deviates heavily from most other depictions of it. Speculatively, this means the Thirteenth Doctor travelled to an aberrant timeline, or that the Ghost Point has somehow worsened since the degradation of the Great Houses's imposed metastructure, rather than healing.
Tumblr media
During Fugitive of the Judoon, the Doctor interacts with Gallifrey's distant past. I can't really explain this even by the standard explanation at the top of this post. However, one thing interesting to note is that the ancient Time Lord "Gat" considered "Mutter's Spiral" to be a "tiny galaxy". This is notable because Gallifrey is basically always said to be in the centre of Mutter's Spiral - that is, the Milky Way - and naming a galaxy as "tiny" kind of implies that you aren't from it. Maybe Gallifrey wasn't always in Mutter's Spiral, and got moved? Or maybe Gat and the Division come from some alternative Gallifrey? I don't know, just interesting to note.
Tumblr media
The novel At Childhood's End (written by Sophie Aldred, actor for Ace) featured Ace meeting the Thirteenth Doctor, and descriptions of the former's fractured timelines. Notably, the next time Ace and the Doctor met (in The Power of the Doctor), neither one of them mentioned this, almost as if the timeline in which it happened had fractured...
Tumblr media
Rakaya and Zellin from Can You Hear Me? are clearly some kind of pre-anchoring gods like the Ux. In Time Lord Victorious short story The Guide to the Dark Times, it was confirmed that they were, specifically, Eternals (not the MCU kind), and another Time Lord Victorious text, a novel called The Knight, the Fool, and the Dead, claimed that Eternals were among the other inhabitants of the Dark Times, the "Old Ones". Interestingly, multiple Eternals do indeed appear in the "classic" series of Doctor Who, implying that the Anchoring did not fully remove them, but as they didn't appear in NuWho until now, I feel safe in speculating that the War somehow barred them from it - perhaps they'd joined the conflict, on the side of both the Time Lords, Daleks, the Enemy, and others, "helping out" wherever it benefited them?
Tumblr media
Ashad, first appearing in The Haunting of Villo Diodati, and then in the following serial Ascension of the Cybermen/The Timeless Children, is an "emotional Cyberman". Any readers of Faction Paradox could immediately draw the connection between this and Faction Paradox's "technosapiens", named as such partially to avoid infringing on the BBC's trademark, but also because The Book of the War showed that many sects of posthumanity had become cyborgs, but many were not emotionless and evil like the Cybermen.
Tumblr media
The Timeless Child, first appearing in The Timeless Children, is vaguely reminiscent of the idea hinted upon in The Book of the War that the Great Houses stole the power of regeneration from another species, in The Book of the War being the Great Vampires, and in The Timeless Children being the titular Timeless Child. This note of continuity was expanded upon by the writer @aristidetwain in his short story Out of the Box introduced the "Child-That-Was-Taken", intended to be a member of the Yssgaroth species, and to be the Timeless Child itself. Additionally, this Child was the motivator for the Great Vampires' war with the Great Houses, the Eternal War (a.k.a First War in Heaven).
Tumblr media
In The Timeless Children, Tecteun is shown alongside Rassilon and Omega. Previously, the figure alongside Rassilon and Omega was the Other, a version of the Doctor from before he was the Doctor. My personal fix for this, which I admittedly took from @/aristidetwain, is that there were many Others, assisting Rassilon and Omega at different points in time. Other Others may be the human Dr. Who from the novel Human Nature, the Eleventh Doctor "Cheesemaker" (The Lost Dimension), Osiris (in his car future), and the Sixth Doctor (The Scrolls of Rassilon)
Tumblr media
In Shadow in the Mirror, the Thirteenth Doctor released Aphasia / Daughter of Mine from her mirror of entrapment, despite the fact that Aphasia mentioned a "ginger haired doctor" who "believed himself to be the last" (likely Muldwych/Merlin), meaning that the Doctor had been interacting with Aphasia out-of-order, which is... Reasonably dangerous.
Tumblr media
Throughout Flux, the villains "Swarm" and "Azure" attempt to remove the Mouri from the planet Time, effectively de-anchoring the thread. They're method, strangely, is to try to destroy the entire universe using "the flux".
Tumblr media
Village of the Angels features the first instance of Weeping Angels being shown to posses proper intelligence, as they ally themselves with Tecteun, presumably in exchange for something, and even more interestingly, they have a rogue member, suggesting power structures in their ranks. This isn't particularly Faction Paradox -related, but it feels like it is, and I hope Faction Paradox writers use Weeping Angel - analogues to continue to explore this.
Tumblr media
Eve of the Daleks features the Doctor "resetting" the TARDIS, causing a localised time loop. However, perhaps more notably, the Daleks which appear in this episode are "Dalek Executioners", which make their debut in Time Lord Victorious.
The Power of the Doctor won't be mentioned here, perhaps I'll grant it a full post going over all of its batshit-insanity (affectionate?) some other time.
This post was made after I saw @familyparadox remark at the high amount of Faction/Thirteen content

The Trouble with Home Tours - ESO U43
https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/661795/ - U43 Home Tours - Preemptive Feedback
TL;DR: A description field alone would solve a lot of problems. With the other sub-features, it could've been great.
Intro:
I admire the project this is based on: EHT Housing Hub. Due to clues in datamines and because EHT's creator was hired to work for ZOS (he was on the reveal stream), some of us suspected for months that Home Tours would be the new feature in Update 43. It was not a surprise.
The disappointment is not about what it is. It's not that "we already have an addon" (the feature could've been better for all of us, PC and console alike).
It's that I hoped it would come with more utility and improvements on EHT's Housing Hub,
rather than being an extremely "lite" version. I actually don't use HH much due to UI and UX; official implementation could improve these.
For now, I’m not looking forward to Home Tours. I don’t want to share nor tour builds if there’s no way to share the description or POI.
Feedback:
1. Descriptions:
Anyone who's done housing events knows that descriptions are crucial, both for explaining the build's story and visitor tips/directions.
Two things make me want to visit a build:
Screenshots
Description
HT has neither; tags don't suffice. It will be a mess when there are thousands of listings.
Example from EHT Housing Hub: Hovering over a home in EHT shows the description. Home Tours could improve upon this UI and make it fit the game's aesthetics.
Tumblr media
Also with EHT, players can put a custom book containing the house description. This would be a great sub-feature to bring in, keeping things in-game rather than in UI.
Example: custom books
Tumblr media
I don't like to use EHT effects: they don't match the in-game aesthetics/UI, show through other objects, and not everyone has them enabled. Official implementation could improve this.
1.5 Weather Control:
Worth mentioning weather control again since it shows up a ton in descriptions: "Please visit in sunny weather or lights don't work!" etc. Dark, low-contrast rain & lightning flashing are physically painful and annoying as a builder, but it's bad for streamers or judges too: they don't have time to wait around for the right conditions or return when it's finally sunny again if they have 50 others to visit.
2. House Nicknames:
Disappointed that titles are not showcase-specific.
I use nicknames with BMU to organize my houses for easy travel. (I constantly change the numbers, so if I'm actively working on a house it might be 00 or 01.)
But I don't want my "Teahouse for Azandar" to show up as "04 ATHFA" for visitors... or worse thanks to the character limit:
Tumblr media
3. Point of Interest markers:
Descriptions could be shorter if we could place graphical POI markers, with an option to add short flavor text that would show on interaction. (No slot wasting: these should not be furnishings. Should be able to show/hide so they don't clash with the visuals.)
Example, EHT's POI markers:
Tumblr media
Again, style doesn't match and these show through walls and objects. Official implementation could improve upon EHT.
I started making graphics like this to help visitors. The above in-game features would be better.
Tumblr media
Since I couldn't include a graphic in-game, and without descriptions (and because of the EHT copy-paste issue!) I’d rather not use the House Tours feature for now. Discord, Reddit, Youtube, etc. are all better ways to find housing inspiration and community.
I'm making my own housing directory, here.
...
From the outside, it appears like there may have been hurdles that tied devs' hands, preventing something more feature-rich.
I know others are disappointed it's not one of many other oft-requested features. But since this is what we got, I hope others will ask for these improvements as well, and that the devs can keep working and expanding on it.

⋆. how to find tech communities ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
Having a good supportive community while learning can be super helpful! It's always nice to be able to find a group of individuals who are also going through the same thing you are. Here are some ways I have found communities in the tech sphere ヽ(◕ᴥ◕)ノ
Meetup Meetup creates possibilities to find and build local communities who share your interests! Here's an example of some groups I've joined:
Tumblr media
Newsletters Newsletters are also a great way to get information about cool events/meetups happening in the tech space ☆.。.:* I am personally subscribed to Lizzie, she posts about events happening in Sf and NY. (you don't actually have to subscribe to read her current and past posts, just hit the "no thanks" under the entry box)
Twitter Many companies or dev advocates/community builders who work at x company will post a ton about upcoming meetups hosted by them! So I highly recommend you find a company or community you'd like to be a part off and follow them on twitter (▰˘◡˘▰) here are some I follow: SFClimateWeek ReactMiamiConf DevsNDumps SeattleJS GirlCode PayPalDev RenderATL Postman AhmadAwais Whitep4nth3r Official_GDC LWJShow GitHubEducation WomenTechmakers hackclub hacktoberfest femtechconf cassidoo pwic_org lesbiantech OutInTech PrideinSTEM GoogleStudents CodeNewbies
Discord There are sooooo many amazing huge communities on discord for each community within tech, here are some I recommend: DesignBuddies: focus is on ux/ui designers, ux research, pm, graphic design LearnWLeon(100Devs): HUGE community of beginner to intermediate software devs. It's also a completely free bootcamp! DiscordDevs: discords server is a great place to learn about different discord features to better help you navigate other servers you join. You also can get 1on1 help with building discord bots which is such a fun thing to work on! My Server: I try really hard to curate a welcoming and helpful community. Tried Carrd.co for a portfolio site:
PROS:
Flexibility, options
Content types (I need captions, video, embedding, etc. The $20/year tier has this — that's a fair price)
Relatively easy, sort of. (see cons)
CONS:
Shadier Terms of Use than ArtStation's now (see below) → Why I was looking for a substitute in the first place. It doesn't make sense to jump to worse ToS.
Back-end UX: → The way it handles pages as "Sections" using #Control — this will get ugly, FAST. Containers can't be nested. → Again compared to ArtStation's site builder, it's more of a pain. Not worth the trouble or resources: Nowadays people hardly visit personal sites. Even as an Art Director I vastly prefer templates when looking at portfolios — easy to use, functional.
While I was working on Carrd, it was suddenly booted offline for a "violation". → That's what prompted me to look closer at their Terms: I hadn't violated anything. Support responded fast, said it was a mistake and put it back. But just like when Tumblr randomly deleted my page, this doesn't give me confidence in the service.
Carrd's terms for user content:
I'm no stranger to contracts. Yes most of this is probably for advertising. Still, these are comparatively unclear and even overzealous:
Tumblr media
carrd.co/docs/general/terms → search: (D) By submitting User Content
"(D) By submitting User Content to us... you automatically grant, or represent or warrant that the owner has expressly granted, to us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, fully sublicensable, and transferable right and license to use, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works ... and publish the User Content (in whole or in part) as we, in our sole discretion, deem appropriate including, without limitation, ... We may exercise this grant in any format, media or technology now known or later developed ...
Compare to Tumblr and even ArtStation:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
tumblr.com/policy/en/terms-of-service → search: User Content License to Tumblr
artstation.com/tos → search: 17. License regarding Your Content
Other options?
Criteria (see also: Pros and Cons above)
Free / cheap. → Carrd's Pro is $20/year. ArtStation was ~$80/year for me. → Not interested in predatory & expensive monthly subs.
Easy, simple, functional site-builder with templates. → I can build my own, but these days I'm not looking for web/visual design work. No need to spend the time.
Flexibility & options; various content types (images, long captions with links, video, embed code).
Good ToS, no AI, no NFT promotion, etc.
Standalone, not a social platform, → E.g.: https://natureintheory.artstation.com/ (yes) vs https://www.artstation.com/natureintheory (no) → NOT talking about hosting (owning your URL).
Usable now / within the year.
So,
NO:
Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, etc. → Expensive, and still limiting despite.
Build-your-own → Not worth the effort for multiple reasons described above.
Adobe/Behance → Support AI, NFTs & generally extortionate subscriptions.
Dribbble → Login lock makes it annoying for Art Directors (me) to access; image quality was terrible when I tried it for my own work.
Tumblr → Mostly because it's so... temperamental. See above.
Wordpress.com → See update.
MAYBE:
Wordpress.org / free tier → Maybe a pain.
Semplice for Wordpress → $120 but perpetual. Maybe a pain.
Building using Notion? → Heard some people are doing this. Probably easier than other from-scratch options, but still. Too much pain.
Weebly → I could live with the Free tier branding & URL. Not sure if the content features are enough, though: video & embeds?
????
Inkblot → Looks promising but very new & scrappy. No standalone site-builder currently.
Cara.app → Same as above.
Briefly... spending resources (time, $) on this was not in my plans this year. There's a ton else to worry about, between freelance work and shitty life events. So I don't know. I'm going to keep using ArtStation until my sub expires and researching the options. Who knows what new problems (or solutions) we'll have in a few months?

Dispelling Widespread Misunderstandings in the Role of a Web Designer in Website Design
Tumblr media
When it comes to crafting a new website, numerous small business owners and managers often harbor misconceptions that can impede the process. These misguided expectations, stemming from outdated assumptions, can lead to confusion about timelines, costs, and essential steps. The lack of a comprehensive understanding can result in frustration as projects kick off. By dispelling prevalent myths surrounding the crucial role of a web designer in website design, organizations can pave the way for a more seamless website planning experience.
One prevalent myth involves the underestimation of costs, particularly when considering do-it-yourself site builders or opting for entry-level freelancer rates. A professional web designer offers solutions that are not only more robust but also tailored and effective. The expertise and time invested in these services justify the financial commitment. A skilled web designer, in the long run, brings exponential value in driving business growth.
Another misconception revolves around the notion that website design necessitates months of work. Contrary to this belief, an optimal timeline, guided by the expertise of a web designer, strikes a balance between speed and allowing for necessary iterations and reflections. Most professional redesigns or refreshes can be completed within 4-10 weeks, depending on the project's scope. A web designer's adept project management skills ensure a swift progression through the various phases.
Furthermore, there's a common misconception among inexperienced companies that website design begins with visual components. In reality, strategic planning and technical development, spearheaded by a web designer, serve as the critical foundation. Wireframing and UX design, under the keen eye of a web designer, take precedence, ensuring that creative design aligns seamlessly with validated structural needs. Rushing into visual elements prematurely poses the risk of misalignment.
Misconceptions also linger around the effort required post-launch. Websites, with the ongoing guidance of a web designer, demand continuous optimization, maintenance, and refresh. Allocating a budget for the expertise of a web designer in ongoing enhancements prevents capability gaps and ensures the design stays current with evolving needs.
Lastly, some assume that website design results in a "finished" product. However, successful sites, guided by a web designer, necessitate ongoing review of metrics and user feedback for improvement. Effective website design, orchestrated by a web designer, establishes processes for continually refining effectiveness.
By dispelling these widespread myths and emphasizing the pivotal role of a web designer, organizations can make well-informed decisions. Expert guidance from a web designer provides clarity on navigating core phases, managing expectations, allocating resources, and maximizing return on investment through a deliberate and optimized design strategy. Whether you're a small business owner or a manager, understanding the realities of the collaborative process with a web designer is crucial for achieving long-term success.

How to Improve the User Experience on an E-Commerce Site
Tumblr media
Creating a world-class user experience for visitors to your e-commerce site is not just a luxury in the modern digital age of rising online shopping, it is also a need. Your ability to comprehend your audience and successfully optimize your website will determine the success of your e-commerce business. Using phrases like website traffic analysis, e-commerce software, and e-commerce marketing services, we'll discuss five critical techniques in this blog post to improve the user experience on your e-commerce site.
Know your client
Understanding your target demographic in-depth is one of the key aspects in optimising the user experience on your e-commerce site. An essential tool in this case is website traffic analysis. Use analytics to learn more about the demographics, behaviour, and preferences of your visitors. You may efficiently modify your website using this information to fit their demands. It's about giving your users a tailored experience that they enjoy. The sales and total conversion rate from the website will be very low if it is not tailored to the preferences and interests of the target audience. Be careful to take into account the particular requirements of your clients.
