it goes something like this. you do something random, something unconventional, because it brings you joy - you let out a weird little noise bc it's satisfying, you wiggle in excitement, you make an oddly specific remark because you think it's a clever observation, you enjoy art/media that's considered just a bit too cringey or meme-y - and immediately your friends laugh, saying how "funny" and "random" you are, how they "can't imagine what it must be like inside your head", and wondering if you're perhaps drunk or under the influence of drugs. And after a while, you start to present your happiness as jokes, because it is much better to think that you've made your friends happy by making them laugh on purpose than to have them laugh at you, until you no longer understand why it hurts to hear others laugh at your own jokes

Prompt 129
Danny, now an adult, has just moved to the city of Gotham. Actually he’s been an adult for a while, but every once in a while he has to end his life, at least legally, lest someone get suspicious. Usually whenever Dan or Ellie does an oopsie and pulls a firebird with being reborn through their core.
So legally, one Danyal Nightingale, has just moved to Gotham to open a bakery (Thank you for the wonderful recipes and bonding Clockwork) while taking care of his practically newborn son Jordan. Of course Elnath- Ellie- had to pull a core retreat too, which is just his luck.
It wouldn’t be a problem, but he’s trying to not be so broody. A ghost- even a half-ghost- carrying another core though, has instincts turned up to like, eleven. Which again, wouldn’t be much of a problem if not for someone falling into his dumpster late at night bleeding. A vigilante, which he’s sworn to stay away from that life years ago. And it’s not a lethal wound…
But his instincts are screaming to not let the person bleed all around his nest, and he knows from experience that it would continue to bother him. Which is how he ends up with Batman on his couch to Dan’s glee if the ghost chirps are to go by.

[ID: Two colored illustrations of the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy from Shōnen Jump series One Piece by Eiichirō Oda. Luffy's appearance throughout is derived from his newest outfit change in Chapter 1063 of said series. The upper lefthand drawing is in portrait form and depicts him turned to his right and talking to someone off-camera. The rightmost drawing is a full body shot of Luffy sitting down and eating a sandwich while talking to someone off-camera; unlike the upper lefthand drawing, this one is colored in varying shades of black and white. End ID.]
Spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1063 under the cut!

[ID: A black-and-white panel featuring protagonist Monkey D. Luffy from Shōnen Jump series One Piece by Eiichirō Oda; specifically Chapter 1063 of said series. He wears a knee-length futuristic-looking hooded dress with the label SSG on the lower left-hand side of the dress and the Vegapunk logo on his left arm. He is presumably wearing leggings and sports matching futuristic-looking boots with the cuffs tapering off, making the soles look significantly bigger and clunkier. The shoes have antennas on the outer sides of their respective boots. He has a futuristic earpiece over his left ear and his signature straw hat hanging off his back. Luffy says, "Whoa...this thing is so light! It also feels so cool!" Someone offscreen replies with, "!!!". End ID.]

Y'ALL I think, when Miri said "squeez in closer" she was referring exclusively to Rei and Kazuki to get closer to each other. Previously both of them were on either side of Miri in family photos. Kazuki said "It's fine like this, right?" He said it because they have been taking family pictures like that all the time. This time Miri wanted the two of them to get closer to each other. And that's why she reminded that they're a family. She meant it as in "We're all a family, so yout two shouldn't be hesitant about being close to each other."
And I think the "Family?" was Referring to Kazuki and Rei's relationship. Because Miri only looked satisfied when Kazuki held Rei. Then she took the picture. Oh my god How did I not realize this? She was being a wingman for her dads on the behalf of the fans!

one of my favorite games to play whenever i rewatch the bear is “spot the very realistic health code/basic kitchen rule violations”
so far my favorite is one of the ones i’ve never seen mentioned: how often people wear their aprons outside the kitchen, which is absolutely a no-no and equally absolutely happens all the goddamned time and i am speaking from a lot of experience on that one

In MDZS Lan Wangji's mother complains that he never indicates/says what he wants.
Because all Lan Wangji wanted was to be close to her. She kept trying to find ways to cheer him up but him acting out and pouting and huffing was his way of expressing himself, of showing part of himself he couldn't entrust to anyone else. He was never allowed to be immature or unreasonable or crabby or hard to please because of the nature of the expectations that were placed on him. He was being bratty because he loved her, because there was nowhere else he would rather be and there was no one else who accepted him as he was. To him, that ability to be himself was everything--trinkets and baubles and empty platitudes meant nothing, and so he never wanted them.
She is the narrative parallel to Wei Wuxian in Lan Wangji's life.
I swear to god I'm going to gut my walls I can't do this rn, MXTX when I get you. WHEN I GET YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
