Modern AU Halt and Crowley Headcanons
Halt loves Disney and Musicals. Everyone was surprised to find that out. His favourite musical is Grease and one of his favourite Disney movies is Alice in Wonderland
Halt liked music from the 70s and 80s the most, especially classic rock. His favourite band is Queen. He also likes MCR (obviously). He doesn’t like mediaeval folk music because it reminds him of Hibernia which and it all sounds the same to him which is why in the books it says he doesn’t like music, but modern day stuff has a wider range and more interesting stuff he does actually like.
Halt loves Tim Burton and Johnny Depp movies. Some of his favourite movies are Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd and the Tim Burton remakes of Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Halt loves MARVEL movies, his favourite character is Tony.
Crowley also loves Disney and musicals. His favourite Disney movie is Brave, his favourite musical is The Greatest Showman.
Crowley wears flannel shirts.
Crowley hates dolls and mannequins.
Crowley likes ABBA, Dua Lipa and Beyonce the most
Crowley’s favourite TV show is F.R.I.E.N.D.S and his favourite movie is The Greatest Showman.
Crowley's favourite song is 'We Fell in Love in October" by girl in red.
Queer marriage is legal and they get married and live happily ever after.

Do you know these (canon) ADHD characters?
Proof: Both confirmed in chapter 11 of book 12; figured I'd post them together since the confirmation's in the same place.

Books of 2024: ORDINARY MONSTERS by J. M. Miro.
Swinging from a teeny tiny read (A SHINING) to this behemoth, which weighs in at 658 pages (that's like. uh. nine (9) SHININGs, never mind about the word density per page).
Did I know this is the first book in a trilogy? No. Did I know the trilogy is not yet complete?? Also no. Will that stop me from reading it now anyway??? Wow, you guessed it: No.
I'm always down books featuring corvids in the cover art and kids with mysterious powers, AND the "man made of smoke" that the jacket promises sounds Very Intriguing. All I know going into this book is what the jacket tells me, though, so I'm excited to be surprised!

Baby boy got discharged from his nutritionist because she's happy with his weight gain! He was 18lbs .4oz today which is up from 18lbs 13oz on Thursday (it's all the snacking he's been doing).
He was in the 6th %ile on the growth chart - that's the highest he's ever been in his entire 15.5 months of life.
Even more excitingly (for me), he can be finished with formula! Which means I also get to work on transitioning both away from bottles (they only get one first thing in the morning and before bed).
Cardiology was also great! His echo is essentially unchanged from 6 months ago. He'll follow up in 6 months just because the interventional cardio at Lurie said he would need his stent ballooned between 18-24 months and we want to check where the gradient is but his cardio doesn't think it'll be increased enough then to actually require stent ballooning.
So from an eating standpoint, AMAZING and from a cardiac standpoint, also AMAZING.

remember when katniss straight up did not know what what mouth to mouth cpr was? yeah, it added a little bit of comedy to a highly tense situation ("why is finnick kissing peeta" - katniss, a girl who doesn't have it bad for peeta at all and is totally normal about him) but it's such an interesting detail about the varying methods/lifestyles/skills that each district has and what they're trained to deal with because of their district's specialty
