ok could you give me a run down of slendblr lore cause I've been trying to figure out what's going on with you guys and I have no idea - @unofficial-identifiable-mode
That's certainly a question alright.. well every slendo has it's own seperate lore, then it's either in it's own forest that somehow links to other forests across the world, maybe portals? Or it's grouped into groups with siblings, like wild, feral and creature. Then there's a bunch of weird romance stuff, a marriage happened recently, ppl keep expanding our mini universe, and soon some of this will no longer be applicable.
I guess it's basically slenderman x homestuck.
Then there's the magic anons.. oh boy.. I'll come back to this later.
If anyone wants to chip in, it'd be @sir-qwillian-ferne and maybe @yoink-a-doink

Essential Worker by Jeanie Tomanek
“The acts of most people do not effect the world but function at a level of wholly contained effects of the world's turning. In contrast the proletariat's anti-act, the act of non-production or of ceasing work, instantly has effect (like in a dream) on capitalism as a whole (in the past few months, lorry drivers, postmen, tube workers, and now railway guards have stopped sectors of the British economy). Most workers are now employed in sectors that are peripheral to the economy's well-being; if they take industrial action it causes inconvenience only to the immediate employer and perhaps a few companies up and down the supply chain. In contrast the essential proletariat is that group of workers who can halt vast areas of the economy by stopping their work.
These workers are employed in the economy's core industries, industries that can only operate with a relatively high level of labour input into their processes, which gives to those workers an already existing control over process; core workers' latent power can be demonstrated immediately in industrial action which spreads its knock-on effect to all businesses in the locality and beyond, producing spiralling repercussions in society. Core-workers include factory workers, dustmen, power workers, distribution workers (post, rail, road haulage, ferries, dockers, etc; in all of these examples the cessation of work causes immediate and widespread problems for the economy, and this is why it is precisely in these industries that wildcat action is most frequent. Quite simply, industrial action in these industries has a history of success.
Our certainty concerning the revolutionary potential of the essential proletariat is not at all founded upon a presumption of the superiority of life lived as a proletarian, or that working class existence is an end itself that should be pursued by pro-revolutionaries. We do not see the modes of working class organisation as an indicator of a possible, post-revolutionary future, nor as an inherently preferable, that is, more morally pure, existence in the present, as compared with middle class life. We say this because these are the pretended presumptions of many inverted snobs in the Class Struggle movement - they tick off proletarian characteristics like naturalists identifying a separate species. We do not pointedly prefer football to opera; we do not think it is better, more pure, more human to be poor than to be rich. We do not think it is inevitable that human kindness is more likely to be encountered in working class individuals than in middle class individuals. We do not think working class people are better than anybody else because they have been defined as belonging to one or other social category. We are not interested in working class culture. We do not accept that you can be working class if you are not employed as a worker no matter what your family history (this is not intended as an insult or slight on people's sense of themselves and where they come from, but we are bored with university lecturers who use "life was hard back then" as a means of asserting their authority). Quite simply, we see the working class as being an economic function organised as part of capitalism and not as being an ethnic identity. If you are no longer employed as an industrial worker then you are not an industrial worker. The same goes for industrial workers when they are on holiday, off sick, in the pub, or indeed any time when they are not present on the actual production line; that is, any time they are not working or having an effect on their work (in official or unofficial industrial action, when they are preventing production).
We are not interested in theoretically expanding the working class to include all militant formations from blacks, gays, women, disabled, to peasants. We are not interested in the working class becoming more human (that is, more political) by means of a raising up through consciousness. We do not celebrate the working class: working class life is rubbish, it is not a condition to be aspired to, and the past thirty years of pro-revolutionary fetishisation of the proletariat as a thing in itself (the legend has it that the leftist group Militant used to force its activists to wear flat caps and donkey jackets on their paper sells so as to fit in) has mistaken and confused the actual power of the working class and reduced the proletariat to the status of just another oppressed minority. Finally we do not endorse the delinquency of the underclass or interpret it as rebelliousness, we see permanent delinquency as the psychological absorption of dehumanisation, no more than a v-sign offered by one who is standing in quicksand. Underclass delinquency fulfils the function ascribed to it by the state: it causes life, particularly that lived on the housing schemes, to be even more constrained than it is already by employment
The working class is nothing but the collective position of those who are brought closest to the machinery of the capitalist system; a human function in the capitalist machine; the working class are the revolutionary body because of, and only because of, their position in the capitalist economy - they are the one social body that can close the system down.
From our experience we see the proletariat as being made up of many individuals, all different, and with just one thing shared by all of them - they have the same economic position, they all have the same functional status (labour) and all have the same economic value (wages). If general circumstances force you to work in an essential industry (and by essential we mean those industries that will make the continuation of capitalist society impossible by their absence) then you are a proletarian. This social status is not something to be fetishised, it's just a fact.
The working class is merely a function of the capitalist economy. We are interested in the proletariat only to the measure that the proletariat literally has in its hands the levers of capitalism's power. Only those who can be effective will be effective.
As for the left, everywhere we see unresurrectable and useless acts, which no matter the intention connect only with institutions that were formed ages ago: revolution has become, for too many, the smashing of mirrors. At the moment this is called anti-capitalism. There are no revolutionary means of connecting to society, there are no means of escaping absolute containment by institutional determinations, except in the locus of production; factory production is where society's power originates and it is the only place where it can be directly engaged for certain. Outside the factories all is spectacle, all is mirrors. Every nonproductive social form is more or less unreal and engaging with them in political terms is always a move into falsity.” - Monsieur Dupont, ‘Nihilist Communism: A Critique of Optimism in the Far Left’ (2009) [p. 21 - 25]

Dead Space Remake Can Learn From the Callisto Protocol’s Combat
Tumblr media
From the teasers and gameplay I've seen thus far, Dead Space Remake appears to be incredibly similar to the 2008 original. The Callisto Protocol, which was previously hailed as the unofficial successor to Dead Space, launched to a mixed response. As you can see from our Callisto Protocol review, although being on the favourable side of the critical divide, we did raise some faults with the game's plot and performance. Once the Dead Space Remake is out, is the pretender at risk of being surpassed? Maybe not. There is one thing Callisto does better than the original Dead Space, a thing which, unfortunately, I doubt we’ll see replicated in that long-anticipated Remake. Callisto Protocol’s combat, at least in the early levels, is vastly superior to that in Dead Space – and from what we’ve seen of the Remake so far, superior to that, also. The Ripper. The Plasma Cutter. Even the comparatively demure assault rifle. Dead Space uses shooting and killing to show off its various novelty weapons. And it’s compelling. Like the active reload feature in Gears of War, adding just one more button press or layer of functionality to each gun (do you want to fire the Plasma Cutter vertically or horizontally?) leads to more varied, more deliberate, and more spectacular combat. There’s no such thing in Dead Space as simply pointing and shooting. Identify enemy type; select the right weapon; set weapon to the correct mode; aim at appropriate body part; and only then do you shoot. The process is more stratified, and this is its greatest strength; this is the imaginative gimmick that always elevated Dead Space above most third-person shooters. As Isaac Clarke, engineer, you’re faced with a series of screeching, flesh-hungry (bio)mechanical problems – to ‘fix’ them, you must skillfully use the right tools. The issues with Dead Space’s combat have nothing to do with weapon designs or mechanics, or even individual instances of gunplay. In a kind of vertical slice example – Isaac Clarke versus one group of enemies – the combat in Dead Space is fantastic. The problem is with pacing. Especially in the later levels, enemies jump out and attack you relentlessly. You might complete a large-scale combat encounter or a big set-piece, and immediately afterwards, as you’re walking the halls of the Ishimura trying to recuperate and breathe in some of the rich horror atmosphere, again, you’ll be attacked. And then when you defeat that group of enemies, you’ll be attacked again. It becomes almost farcical, these repetitive occasions where you kill a bunch of Necromorphs, start listening to a voice note you’ve just found, only for another bunch of Necromorphs to suddenly drop in and start slicing you. I get that the goal is to pile pressure on the player, and thereby increase the horror, and the sense of a desperate bid for survival. But it has the opposite effect. The more of something you kill, the less that each individual one feels like it has the potential to harm you. As Isaac repeatedly and successfully kills Necromorphs, sometimes by the dozen or more, he, likewise, starts to feel invulnerable. As such there is no possible threat to his survival, and so, no horror. The Callisto Protocol does this as well. In the later levels, and especially after you’ve amassed the game’s entire weapons arsenal, Jacob Lee becomes perfectly capable of killing several Biophages at once without suffering so much as a bruise. But in its early stages, when you’ve just broken out of the prison cell, armed with only a metal pipe and the diminutive first pistol, Callisto is a masterclass in horror game combat. Partly, it’s the dodging system. Although the inputs and mechanics of it are basic, just inviting the player to actively try to avoid an enemy’s attacks makes that enemy seem much more threatening – if you don’t pay attention, and try to just kill this thing like you’re the one with the more power, you will die. The dodging system also introduces an element of physicality and sweat. As you dodge, and launch your counterattacks, you can see and hear Jacob working hard to keep alive. Combined with the crudity of his weapons (I wish Jacob didn’t trade the metal pipe for that dumb stun rod) it makes each battle in The Callisto Protocol feel like a fierce, near-death experience. But that’s only half of it. What’s more important is how The Callisto Protocol – again, in the early levels at least – sparingly deploys its enemies and monsters. For the first couple of hours, if you get into a fight, it’s with one, maybe two Biophages at once. Not only does this let you appreciate that kind of breathless, scrappy melee combat, it makes each individual enemy feel significant. When you’ve had to struggle, when you’ve had to think and react and really brawl just to down one monster, that monster becomes a much more affecting presence. As a consequence, you feel more engaged in the game mechanically. There’s no idling. There’s no dully sitting there, mowing enemies down, bored with your own invulnerability. You feel like you’ve got to think and act and be careful if you’re going to survive – a much more compelling proposal. This kind of combat, if it’s maintained throughout, can also help a game narratively. If we are meant to be Jacob, or at least deeply sympathise with Jacob, and Jacob is meant to be scared, that emotional compact becomes much stronger if we feel scared, also. Jacob panicking because he’s trapped in a room with a Biophage has no dramatic impact if we, playing as him, feel no threat from that Biophage. On the contrary, if each individual one has hurt us, beat us, and really made us earn a victory, Jacob’s apprehension becomes our own. And speaking again of Jacob, compared to Isaac in the original Dead Space, he’s a character who displays fear, ardour, and stress much more visibly – who more effectively ‘sells’ how we’re meant to feel. With the original Isaac, for the most part, all we have to go on in terms of his reactions or emotions is the green-yellow-red health bar on the back of his rig. It’s a neat UI gimmick, but even the occasional moments where Isaac winces, flees, or shows some visible kind of panic, do little to communicate what he’s internally going through. Isaac Clarke in the original Dead Space is a hunk of walking metal with a gun. Jacob Lee on the other hand squirms, sweats, and swears. They’re minor details, but Jacob’s whisper of “oh f***” when he sees a security robot, or the way he shuts his eyes in a kind of silent prayer when he first encounters the blind, stalker enemy, give him a traceable – but contained and not over-emphasised – humanity. And when a character has some detectable humanity, we instinctively cannot help it: we feel more connected and attuned to them. And this, in turn, adds to the immediacy of the combat, the interplay between what our character is doing and how we imagine it feels. Jacob – stressed, scared, sweaty – is identifiably a person. I, also, am a person. So when he’s slashed and bitten, and hauling that great metal pole over his shoulder to try and save his own life, I feel it more keenly. The Dead Space Remake, which gives a voice, a new face, and ostensibly “more agency” to Isaac Clarke, seems to appreciate this, too. But it all works much better when combat encounters are rare and the body count is lowered. If Dead Space Remake has as much shooting and death as the original, Isaac’s added humanity won’t be as affecting – a character can swear, shout, and emote, but if in gameplay they’re an unstoppable death machine, we won’t feel their vulnerability. The Callisto Protocol, at its best, mixes a perceptibly human character with what feels in gameplay terms like struggle and fallibility. I would love to see this in the Dead Space Remake. In fact, I would love to see it in more games generally. As it progresses, however, The Callisto Protocol gradually abandons this dynamic, giving you more guns to fight more enemies across more regular encounters. Like Dead Space, when it comes to horror – or even a basic sense of duress – Callisto’s developers seem to believe, quite simply, that more is more and less is less. It saddens me that games think so little of us, that we need a constant administration of blood, death, and killing or else we’ll lose interest. It’s accepted in horror films – and in pure horror games like Alien Isolation or Amnesia – that the less you see of something, the more frightening it becomes. Like walking around in the dark, it’s scary because you can’t see or comprehend or truly know it. The same must be true for horror games with more combat. The less you fight something, and the less simple it is to win that fight, the more it feels dubious, uncertain, and filled with coiled, dangerous potential, whereas the more you fight it and kill it, the less it affects you. That’s what The Callisto Protocol, at least initially, seems to understand. That’s what I hope the Dead Space Remake has learned. If you’re getting your Plasma Cutter fired up ready for Dead Space, make sure you have the full Dead Space system requirements, to prevent any Ishimura-style malfunctions. You might also want to check out some of the other best horror games, or maybe the best upcoming games for 2023. Read the full article

About Kat (and Dusty)
Tumblr media
Name: Queen Alua Kat
Alias: Gravity Queen
Guardian: Dusty
Gender: Female (Dusty is male)
Abilities: Gravity Manipulation, Gravity Kick, Stasis Field, Piercing Throw, Gravity Slide, Spiraling Claw, Gravity Typhoon, Micro Black Hole, Lunar Style, Wormhole Kick, Jupiter Style, Surge Kick, Panther Mode, Gravity Gryp
Weakness: Can't perform her abilities without Dusty.
Background: The friendly neighborhood Gravity Queen herself! Although her memories of her past as Queen Alua of Eto has recently resurfaced, she still identifies herself as Kat, the hero of Hekseville... Although the later part is no longer the case.
Truth be told, this is not exactly the Kat who saved the world from destruction by the end of Gravity Rush 2. She actually comes from a branching path of that dimension, specifically if she failed to save the city. After a pep talk from iCO, RiFT saved Kat from that Bad Ending, and gave her another chance to be a hero. It took her some time to come to terms with this revelation, realizing that all of her friends are gone and she failed them as hero. But when she was shown by RiFT that she came from a possible future, and that her definitive future had her save the day and even come back to her friends at the end, Kat excepted the reality and was glad she could still be a hero and help people.
Being a Superhero, many of the new friends she made in this dimension also became big fans of her. Her biggest fans (and unofficial sidekicks) are Starman and Planetman, since her powers are kind of space-themed in a way. Her other biggest fan is Klonoa, who just loves superheroes in general. Though due to being one of the cutest little creatures she's ever seen, one can say Kat became a fan of Klonoa as well. Then there's Nana, although it's more from Kat being a videogame character than a superhero.
Still being a Jack-of-all-trades, Kat was able to land a job at the Item Creation Shop, fulfilling many roles, and even having the costumes for said roles. Some of her roles include, but are not limited to, security guard, singer, maid, and taste tester (one of her favorites)
Kat is a selfless hero who's quick to put others before herself, and will even jump to save the day without thinking, which is both her strength and weakness. Despite her humility, she is easily buttered up by compliments, especially being called cute or pretty.
Kat honestly doesn't see what the big deal is when the Net Navis are so amazed by seeing a real life superhero. With their abilities, Net Navis are practically superheroes themselves. They are technically even more powerful than her since they have access to powers and abilities even when they run out of Battle Chips, while she's a sitting duck if she doesn't have her Guardian, Dusty.
Speaking of Dusty, this strange cat actually had an effect on Kat when they both were sent to Bass' dimension. She can utilize Battle Chips like many of the other visitors, but they have to be sent to Dusty in order for her to use them, meaning they will still be useless to her if she and Dusty are separated. Some things never change.
Ray kind of reminds Kat of her friend, Raven, and the two began forming a friendship with each other. Spider also kind of reminds her of Syd to a lesser degree, and she will occasionally make conversation with the bounty hunter.
Although the other females are very friendly with her, there's one thing about her that makes them super jealous; She has an appetite that rivals Bud's, yet none of the food seems to go anywhere. Does her gravity powers somehow make her stomach act like a black hole for food or something?
Kat's upbeat and down-to-beat personality makes her one of the rays of sunshine of the team. She's quick to try to cheer up a friend who's down, but also sensitive enough to know when to be more delicate when approaching someone who's shy or traumatized like Elise, or even to back off most of the time like with Solo.
Kat enjoys being surrounded by who has her back as much as she has theirs. Being part of such a big team and being given another chance to be a hero is something the Gravity Queen is truly grateful for.

shinran oneshot
Fandom: DC
Pairing: Shinran
Excerpt:
“Shinichi,” she whispered, warm blue orbs losing focus as she looked at him, though her smile remained. She rose her hand to caress his cheek (she’s so, so cold). “You found us.”
Her chapped lips met his, and then, “Arigato.”
A/N: I swear that this was supposed to be fluffy but brain said nope, angst-infused it is. Also, I’m no expert in medicine nor the Japanese police system, even criminology for that matter. Spare me. Enjoy!
Day 9
“I should write a book.”
Shinichi’s first instinct was to snort, as he was reminded of Kogoro-ojisan’s—who he should really be calling otousan nowadays—intention of becoming a mystery novelist, much like his actual father. Kudo Yusaku had made millions writing his thrillers, and today, years after the older Kudo patriarch decided to publish his final novel, he was still adding money to the Kudo fortune.
Perhaps his mother playing the titular character in one of Night Baron’s spinoff adaptations, Lady Baron, played a huge factor too. His parents were weird that way, almost like a tag-team, because the moment Kudo Yusaku announced his writing retirement, Kudo Yukiko came out of hers.
It was as if they thought that the world could not handle more than three (he was pretty sure his popularity was on par with his parents, despite his lack of big screen appearances) famous Kudos at a time.
“Finally jumping on the full Kudo experience?” he teased, adjusting himself on the hospital bed where his wife sat, left arm wrapped around her whole frame, right palm covering hers.
Eyes focused on the little bundle in her arms, she hummed before answering, “A best-seller for sure.”
As if on cue, their newborn squirmed before revealing twin orbs that matched his mother’s, unfocused eyes looking up to the woman who went through hell and back prior to his birth.
“Anata,” she called, her tired voice laced with a hint of excitement. “He’s beautiful.”
 Day 1
He stood in an abandoned room of an equally abandoned motel located just 50 km on the outskirts of Tokyo, the very location that had him and nearly the whole Tokyo Metropolitan Police Taskforce wrecking their brains and exhausting their resources to find. The identified suspect was one Seisaku Miyazaki, a serial rapist and killer with a tendency for flairs. The 27 crime scenes he left always had distinct blood splatter to them, resulting from either gunshot wounds straight to the temple, or intraoral ones.
Shinichi had never seen a crime scene so gruesome in his life.
As soon as Shinichi stepped into the room, the first thing he should have registered was the blood-spattered left wall and Seisaku’s limp and lifeless body on a chair in the same left corner, his riffle trapped in between his legs.
Instead, Shinichi’s frantic eyes zeroed on the figure on the bed in the middle of the room, merely 10 feet away from Seisaku’s body. The woman had her back against the headboard with an ungodly amount of blood running down her bottom half, arms cocooning a small bundle wrapped with a violet-colored cardigan—the same one she was last saw wearing before her disappearance.
She had her eyes on her baby, as if the newborn was the only person who mattered, seemingly unbothered by the chaos unfolding before her. It took the lead detective a full five seconds to notice that the newborn—oh God, their newborn—was not crying.
He was beside her in her flash, holding her tighter than he should. His wife was again, unbothered, but he noticed that she closed their baby more to her semi-naked chest. The cuts and bruises on her face and torso did not go unnoticed by him. All of Seisaku’s victims had the same markings, but unlike those women who bled from their heads, she was bleeding from bottom down.
Kudo Shinichi screamed for the medic.
It was only then did he hear a soft cry, and he released a breath he did not know he was holding.
“Anata,” she called, finally removing her gaze from their son to look at him “He’s beautiful.”
Her face was pale and hollow, but there was no mistaking the warmth in her eyes and the gentleness of her smile.
His heart both bloomed and broke for her.
“Ran,” he choked out the name he’d been desperately calling for the past few hours. “You’re going to be okay.”
When the medic team finally appeared, his wife first handed the closest medic the baby, “Take care of him, onegai,” she requested, sounding too much like a plea. “He’s a good boy.”
Releasing her son’s warmth, the brunette fell back onto her husband, who caught her naked shoulders, throwing her full weight onto his.
“Shinichi,” she whispered, warm blue orbs losing focus as she looked at him, though her smile remained. She rose her hand to caress his cheek (she’s so, so cold). “You found us.”
Her chapped lips meet his, and then, “Arigato.”
With a sigh of relief, she shut her eyes, and rolled limp further into her husband’s embrace.
Shinichi’s world stood still, the only things registering in his mind were his wife’s cold body, and their newborn’s loud cries in the distant.
 Day 8
She was in pure fight mode, forcing her body to function and conscious to stay awake. Once she knew that her child was safe, all the injuries and agony finally caught up to her, and she welcomed the numbing darkness.
The last thing Ran remembered was Shinichi’s rapid heartbeat drumming her ears.
The new mother woke up a week later, on an unfamiliar bed, to the familiar but tormented eyes of her husband.
“Baby,” she mustered breathily, and her husband’s eyes all but softened.
She knew that they were safe.
   Day 10
It was another two whole days before she was deemed fit enough to hold her newborn.
“Anata,” she beams, “He’s beautiful.”
“He is,” the Heisei-Reiwa Holmes agreed. “The brat gave the doctors and nurses a fright with his fever, would not stop crying too.”
If his wife was worried, she did not show it. “Is that true?” she cooed, “But you’re okay now, aren’t you sweetheart? Your Papa found us after all.”
Day 0
Kudo Ran did not fit Seisaku Miyazaki’s victim profiles by the slightest. The females he preyed on were usually late teens to early twenties, lived alone, physically petite, and had questionable practices in their private lives.
Or, in the words of Seisaku himself, whores.
Catching the serial killer had been the detective’s top priority, with the death count at 27 and the most recent killings at the heart of Tokyo, it was one of the most challenging cases for him to date.
With half of the murders in Tokyo and the other half in Osaka, it was a no brainer for both Detective of the East and West to join hands, special taskforces from Tokyo and Osaka rallying under their (unofficial) command. The investigation had been ongoing for more than four months before special unit finally made a definite progress, being able to identify a potential victim, shadowing her day and night, coming in to save her just in time from being abducted, and arresting Seisaku’s paid minion.
Genzo Okubo was no Seisaku, the two detectives figured. The latter was confident, methodical, a true psychopathic mastermind, yet the man they caught fumbled with his words, sweated profusely, and most importantly, had little loyalty as he quickly confessed to everything.
The unit rejoiced, but Shinichi and Heiji knew that it was too simple, as if Seisaku wanted Gento to be caught.
By the time they were finished with the guy, it was already 2 a.m.
The lack of miscalls from him wife caught him off guard.
He tried not to panic, reasoning to himself that Ran was probably at her parents’, fell asleep, and his in-laws forgot to inform him. After all, it would not be the first time this had happened. If anything, the Mouris had not stopped fussing over their daughter, and with this case constantly on his mind, Shinichi had not really been the doting husband and father-to-be that he ought to be. Their six-year-old twins were away with his parents somewhere in New York, the elder Kudo couple wanting to give the once-again new parents space to get ready for the youngest Kudo’s arrival.
Halfway through dialing Eri’s number (because his mother-in-law was a light sleeper), Heiji burst into the break room with a suspicious package in his hands.
“Kudo,” the dark-skinned detective panted, as if he just ran up flights of stairs instead of taking the elevator, “that bastard’s got Nee-chan.”
Inside the package were two things: a picture of a very pregnant Kudo Ran, blindfolded and gagged, and a lone platinum wedding band.
  Day 10
“He panicked.”
“Hmm?”
“Seisaku-san, he panicked.” His wife stated, the name of her kidnapper rolling of her tongue like she was mentioning a student of hers. “I started having contractions, started bleeding too. He mumbled something about ‘not following his plan’.”
Shinichi rose his brows, puzzled by Ran’s statement, but he let her continue.
“I think,” she paused, readjusting her hold on their son when they boy started to writhe, “that he was halfway out when Seisaku-san decided to shoot himself.”
Her voice was cool, too indifferent, and deep down, Shinichi knew that his wife may be scarred for life.
“Three sounds,” she gulped then snickered. “Me screaming during the final push, the baby’s cries, and the riffle going off.”
Shinichi held her tighter.
“His blood was everywhere, Shinichi. On the walls, the carpet, the bed, my face,” There are now cracks in her voice, the memories flooding her overwhelmed mind as she remembers it all again, “On our baby boy.”
“Ran…” He trailed off, not knowing what to say. His wife and son were alive, but the trauma she went through was something he wished on no one, not even Seisaku himself.
“I didn’t want him to get cold, so I wrapped him with my cardigan. Not the most hygienic, I know, but I didn’t exactly have many choices,” a chuckle. “He locked the door, so I couldn’t escape, and I couldn’t exactly kick the door open, my energy was spent on giving birth. So, I started breastfeeding the baby, burping him…making sure he was alive long enough for you to find us.”
Something in him shattered even more.
Ran averted her eyes away from their son to look at her husband, their faces only a few centimeters apart.  There were no tears in their eyes, the pain and regret that remained in their hearts too crushing to be expressed by mere crying. “I’m safe, our boy is safe, because you found us. None of this is your fault, so please, Anata,” she kisses him before continuing, “don’t blame yourself.”
Shinichi could not imagine what life would be without her. She was his wife, partner, lover, best friend, soulmate, the mother of his children, his world, his everything.
“Okay,” he promised simply, capturing her lips for a second time before kissing her forehead. “I love you.”
He felt her smiling into his neck, and at that moment, nothing was wrong; they were whole.
They stayed like that for a few more moments, savoring the peaceful yet short time they had with their baby boy before one of the nurses took him away for the night.
    Day 11
“Your book,” Shinichi remembered far into the night. “What are you going to write about?”
A mischievous look twinkled in Ran’s eyes, and the man knows that his wife will heal just fine. “Kidnapped 101.”
- end
A/N: Nope, not their firstborn. And I also imagine that Ran has had her fair share of getting kidnapped so might as well write a book on it lmao.

Could you answer this question? I went through a bunch of Sakura fics, many recommended by yourself (many good ones, thanks for your excellent taste!) but I also explored on my own, which is how this question spurred. I was wondering why so many ppl want Sakura to have wood release? &, because it's been a while so my memory's foggy, wasnt wood release sort of a bloodline thing? They had to infuse Hashirama's cells w/ Yamato for him to use it. It seems a little...I guess radical to give it to her? I LOVE Sakura, which is exactly why it kind of throws me off. I think she's already strong as is, & I think being able to utilize genjutsu & slug sage mode are logical expansions of her abilities, so wood release seems very...Idk how to put it but it seems like erasing Sakura. I'm discovering that I truly really dont think I like BAMF Sakura fics a lot bc it just doesnt read AS Sakura. It's like the author's are ashamed of her. Also I dislike when they use Strong!Sakura as a tag on ao3 bc she IS strong that HASNT changed & there's a canonical version of BAMF!Sakura in everything before the Pein arc. Everything after the Pein arc turned the entire series in a bad fanfiction for everyone in itself.
Thank you, I'm happy to know you enjoyed my recs!
Tumblr media
That's a good question.
This is what I think makes Sakura badass ➡ here
I love Sakura the way she is, as well. Her development, however, is lacking not in terms of her personality but her skillset. She has impressive chakra control, monstrous strength and is one of the two frontline medics and one of the best healers in the world. She has impressive feats under her belt as well, two of the most remarkable include her byakugo seal and her fight with Sasori alongside Chiyo. But it pales in comparison to her teammates, including Sai and Kakashi. I don't mind that too, because her journey is different than others, excluding Lee and possibly Tenten. She isn't seen much involved in fights, her attacks are repetitive in the show, she isn't bestowed many techniques under her belt and her best moments are in games and novels. It is not her character's fault but Kishimoto who just doesn't use her strength and intelligence which he (and other characters) have mentioned she has.
She is genjutsu type – but has she ever performed one, or even gotten out of one easily? Whats the use of such information if Kishimoto doesn't use it?
She has near perfect chakra control – she should be easily able to perform many techniques and practice different elements, especially water, but earth style and cloning is what we mostly ever see her use.
She has good foundation in Taijutsu – and that should increase her stamina and therefore her chakra coils, and that in turn will ensure she is able to use many techniques.
Her medical and research skills are only next to Tsunade – and we wish to see her revolutionize the medical field which she has but in Borutoverse. That is time skip. That doesn't really relive you much.
She has resistance to mind jutsus, thanks to her inner personality – and theoretically she should be able to even evade strong genjutsus like she did Ino's clan technique (something never been done before) but Kishimoto only used that incredible ability once. ONCE.
She has massive chakra storage and exceptional chakra control and sensitivity – she should be able to master Senjutsu, a field which is all about chakra. Anything that has to do with chakra control is Sakura's playground.
She is more or less an unofficial poison expert – but we didn't see her playing with poison expertly (a poison that even Suna's poison experts failed to break) after Gaara's retrieval arc.
She is the smart and responsible one of team 7 – but Kishi often makes her look both stupid and selfish. We don't see her use her intelligence much. I hate that more than her lacking in the expansion of the skills.
She trained under a political leader – that itself makes her and Shizune great administrators and governors. So, out of everyone, Sakura is the one of the best Hokage material. Hokage is said to be the strongest fighter of the village but that requirement failed us when Tsunade became the fifth Hokage.
She has yin seal – the strongest seals one can make, in their own body no less. It also shows her expert control of her chakra. She can summon one of the big 3 summons. Sealing is more or less code that requires high intelligence and great chakra control that can be fused into the ink. As far as I can tell, she is one of the best candidates to learn Fuinjutsu.
With all these possibilities of her growth – because it is not something we make up but something Kishi has implied she has but never explored – how can one not exploit it? It doesn't mean one doesn't love Sakura for who she is but that its because they love her that they want to give her what she has the right to. She doesn't have to be expert at something to be powerful, just her putting her skills to best use is admirable as it is. I love Sakura for who she is and who she could be.
Tumblr media
Now, onto the question as to why people seem to favour giving Sakura wood release, this are the following reasons that I think could be it:
Does it have to be bloodline limit?
Kishimoto gave Hashirama a unique bloodline limit that apparently cannot be inherited by any other Senju. That defeats the purpose of bloodline limit. What makes Senju clan so different? Without Hashirama in the picture, you cannot distinctly identify a Senju clan member aside from their strong chakras. Tobirama is identified for his water techniques. Tsunade has perfect control of her chakra that allowed her to exhibit monstrous strength and incredible healing abilities. How come wood release is a bloodline limit but is not passed down the line?
It is complicated because Tsunade is also renowned for her perfect chakra control just like Hashirama. So, some stories make Sakura a secret Senju clan member because of her uncanny resemblance to Tsunade and Senju clan in general. Pink hair can be a diluted version of Red (Mito) and her chakra control originating directly from Hashirama's lineage.
I personally don't like this because I love Sakura being a civilian child.
It's not a bloodline limit:
So, assuming wood release is not a bloodlimit but a very hard technique requiring precise chakra control and mastery of dual elements Earth and Water, then it is possible for Sakura to practice same technique because of her prodigious chakra control. By that logic, we can also assume that Tenzo inherited Hashirama's unique chakra control to use wood release. Because Orochimaru could have used Tsunade's DNA too if it was only about clan blood. So that rules out bloodline limit.
I love the idea of Sakura practising wood release because it is possible for her to do so. So if an author gives Sakura wood release that she hones with practice and control (ref. fanfic: Labyrinthine) instead of having been gifted with it, I'm digging it.
Nature chooses the wood user:
Naruto universe has many references to spiritual entities such as gods/goddesses, reincarnation and celestial bodies. It is conceivable to make nature an ethereal entity that has its own will. Sakura looks like the embodiment of spring with her petal hair and green eyes, and Hashirama can be compared to wood with his warm personality and appearance, these attributes can make them look distinctly attractive to nature. No other characters remind me strongly of nature than these two so I suppose they can be uniquely selected to be blessed this ability. Tenzo's abilities is the result of human experiment by Orochimaru who always cheats on nature so he is an exception.
I only like this because I like the idea of Sakura being Nature's child.
Tumblr media
Most stories that I love don't give her a special edge and only give her more techniques under her arsenal. It is very rarely that I love an OCC Sakura who has a bloodline, a clan or godlike abilities.
After Pein's arc, Naruto turned into a joke. Everyone in team 7 (barring Sakura, Sai and Yamato) and long list of antagonists seemed to get power ups left and right. Sakura got hers in the last moment as a last ditch effort to reunite team 7 as one, a moment that felt so hasty that I couldn't take the show seriously at all. I was so disappointed with the whole war arc. I cringe just thinking about it. I sometimes think if it would have been better for everyone to just die with happily ever after in their mind. That would be tragic but a fitting end because Madara became too OP and Kaguya ridiculously so.
The reason people add 'Strong', 'BAMF', 'Smart' prefixes before Sakura is the reason why people add extra qualities to Sakura's character. They are not satisfied with how Sakura handles herself in fights and many base her fights with the one she had with Sasori. After that, did you see her actively participating in any major fight, barring her attempts to make a score on sidelines? Usually, these fanfictions also justify why she is Tsunade 2.0, something the Naruto failed to show.
By the way, many stories have BAMF tag for Shikamaru, Naruto and Sasuke as well. Are they not already strong af? They don't use Strong tag for them though, and that's because their fighting prowess is already seen. Shikamaru is not much of a fighter as much as he is a strategist and a leader. He is a cool and sly character. Naruto and Sasuke have flashy moves with flashy names under their belt with absurd power levels that puts them in god tier. Sakura has none of that – no signature move that is uniquely her, no clan to back her, no move with a name (barring game moves) – and she is seen useless because she is a healer which is a non-offensive, background job even if it is the most crucial and taxing job. It's significance is even more reduced when people point out how her work is futile because they are again sent to the fight/missions once they are up to go. Most fans only care for visual aesthetics, regardless of how rare and in-demand medics are because of the lack of qualified people who can muster and use medical chakra properly.
Sakura is more than just a healer but in canon she is more or less reduced to that. To make things worse for her, both Ino and Hinata are also shown to have healing techniques. They both also have clan techniques (vastly unknown) with them which makes them appear more 'useful'. Sakura is literally in the shadow of her mentor and her friends.
In Boruto, she is said to be the most powerful Kunoichi of her generation and quite possibly the greatest medic in the world but in Shippuden it is severely undermined. This is also why Boruto fans love Sakura but a bunch of Shippuden fans don't.
I mostly don't judge BAMF/Strong Sakura fanfictions, but I mostly avoid Anbu Sakura fanfictions if I can because I personally don't belive Sakura to be an Anbu material.
.
I want to add more, but I think I got my point across. Thank you for reading this far. I hope I answered your question adequately.

About CE:
I could write about CE (23) forever.
We met and began dating in 2014, married in September 2016, separated may 2017, and officially divorced May 2018. Tl;dr: Known each other seven years. 9 months of those were married.
CE was my best friend, and the person I loved most for a long time. They grew up enduring every kind of abuse you can name. They’ve had to fight for their life, for their mother’s and siblings’ lives. I could really write a super depressive post about their history, but that would need an assload of tw. A lot of the information I know about their childhood I just recently learned in this past year.
They were diagnosed at a young age with conduct disorder. Misdiagnosed at 15 with DID. Diagnosed with Bipolar II in the last two years. Unofficially diagnosed with ASPD. They experience emotion very frequently, and very extremely. They’re easily irritated, their high emotions are *really high*. They swing from emotion to emotion hard. They have a really hard time identifying what emotion they’re feeling, though. As well as what may have caused it. They are great at identifying emotions in others, though. Higher empathy than SJM, but still low.
We met when I was 16, they were 15. They had only been living in a ‘safe’ home for maybe two years. And even then, their mother was treating them like shit.
I was also enduring hell with my mom, so we bonded over that. In addition to that, they helped me break free from someone that was grooming me.
15 and 16 is a really important age for development, and we were spending so much time together. They made me feel like nothing in the world could ever hurt me. To this day, I feel safest with them. They gave me the strength to stand up for myself against my mother, and I showed them that they are worthy of love, and that they don’t have to spend their life fighting.
They say that they love me because I was the first thing to give them hope that maybe life didn’t have to be hell, that they didn’t have to live in survival mode. They also have told me that I helped them create their moral compass (they didn’t have any good role models), and that I helped them understand how to socialize.
We married in 2016 (I was 19, they were 18) because they went into the Army and I didn’t want to break up. We last-minute tied the knot, and they left 6 days later. They freaked out on week 3 of basic training, and purposely flunked the psych evaluation to be discharged home. They told me at the time it was because they missed me and couldn’t be away from their wife. I think they’d have a different answer today if I asked.
We lived with their grandparents for nine months, and their mental health declined dramatically. They dropped out of school and quit their job, and became incredibly emotionally and verbally abusive towards me. I left after 9 months. We spent the next year arguing and apologizing and establishing boundaries, and have figured out a way to be really good friends.
CE has a lot of trouble with their symptoms. It can make it hard for myself and their current partner to interact with them at times, but I know that they’re trying.

So I guess before Bludgeon and Thunderwing and Galvatron and Scorponok and Overlord and Ratbat and Soundwave and Straxus and Shockwave there was this guy in charge of the Decepticons called Megatron? And it turns out there's been a couple of toys of him? Who knew?
Oh, I'm such a wag. But to be honest, I don't really have a huge amount to say about Megatron as a character. He was pretty much before my time, y'see. I was born in 1984, and by the time I was old enough to understand Transformers the era of Megatron was long, long gone. I've already spoken about how Rodimus was 'my' Prime, and even though Optimus Prime had been thoroughly returned in Powermaster form in 1988, and Megatron did make appearances in the Marvel comic throughout it's run even after death (a sort of clone, a body swap, an actual resurrection all clown-carred together into a fantastically convoluted mess) I always tended to see the original Optimus/Megatron years as a sort of prehistory, the Before-Times when the older kids were into Transformers and I was more into wearing nappies. It's in our nature as children to want to take ownership of the things we like, and a previous generation's toys can have something of an off-putting nature to them. Child me would have killed for a Galvatron toy, but turned his nose up at a Megatron.
So, roughly 4 million years later I'm an adult collector putting in a preorder for MMC Tyrannotron, confident that this will be The One Megatron that I can keep forever. See, the other problem with Optimus Prime and Megatron is that these days they receive so many new toys that I'm worried about being tempted to keep upgrading to a newer model. But this one was a keeper, a high-end third-party toy from Mastermind Creations, based on his latest iteration in the IDW comics. Yes, I thought to myself, this is a keeper. And then it was announced that the IDW universe would be ending. Hnnng.
Still a great Megatron. A great look. And while it's both unofficial and twice the price of the recent Flame Toys model kit, it does at least transform. Sort of. The problem is of course that during the entire run where Megatron took this shape, he never once actually transformed, not once. So it was pretty much down to MMC to decide what form that big hunky dadbod should turn into. And they came up with... a thing. Sort of a thing. It's not entirely clear.
Tumblr media
It's got treads rather than wheels, an elongated nosecone which doubles as an absurdly oversized fusion cannon (hard to have a go at Tarn's double cannon any more when yours is the size of an entire other person) and tiny little wings near the back. Is it a tank? A jet? It's impossible to properly categorise it, because it looks like it was made up as they went along. Like, they put a bunch of transforming joints in, folded it up a few times, and took what they ended up with and slapped a few vehicle mode bits on. Yeah, as a transforming transformer, this is not a highlight. But even so, it does have a hell of a lot of presence, able to trundle down a motorway taking up all three lanes at once before kerblamming a path through anything that happened to be in its way. Lorries, cars, Little Chefs, that sort of thing.
I feel considerably more attachment for the IDW version of G1 Megs than anything coming from the cartoon. This was a character with an incredibly well-defined arc, far more so than Optimus Prime's, even if that arc was largely retrofitted in after the fact. The social-revolutionary-poet-turned-murderous-warlord became a far more identifiable character than the designated bad guy that filled TV screens back in 1984, and aspects of this characterisation quickly became absorbed into the mainstream, in Prime and now Cyberverse. Megatron's time in the pages of More Than Meets the Eye / Lost Light shone a spotlight on the dualistic nature of his character, and put him onto a path of... well not exactly redemption, though many people are quick to label it as such. More a journey of rediscovery, of being able to find the person you once were before things went wrong, and bring that person back. And even by the end, Megatron's 4 million years of warmongering still outweigh his 800 years of good deeds. But at least Megatron ended his time in the comic as the person he wanted to be. That's powerful stuff. Most other Megatrons go out screaming incoherently and blowing up, so it's a definite step forward.
Tumblr media
Or, if you want to take a step back, MMC put in another surprise, because with a few swapped-out pieces you can go from his final form to the very first one he was seen in, way back in Megatron Origin. Lest we forget, this was so early in IDW's tenure with the Transformers franchise that it had originally been pitched to Dreamwave, which today looks a bit like a first draft of many of the things IDW went on to do.
The alt mode makes a lot more sense now, since the front-facing fusion cannon has been replaced with a massive mining drill, and the wings swapped out for safety-striped panels. The drill can still be fastened to his arm in robot mode, but if you want to give him a more warmongering look you can swap out the drill bit itself for another, rounder fusion cannon barrel. Again, this one is ridiculously oversized, but I actually prefer it to the modern-look cannon. Unfortunately the yellow safety stripes are still there, which does look a bit out of place if you're looking to fit the Origin cannon on the MTMTE body. You also get a new head, mixing the miner and gladiator looks from the comic, and a new chest piece. It's not a perfect reproduction, but it's nice to have bonus options to represent the beginning and end of Megatron's life.
Still though, I can't help but feel that the effort would have been better spent making the MTMTE alt mode more attractive than dual-purposing the whole thing for a different look. It's a figure first, and a transformer second, which is a real shame. You also get, rather predictably, a lightsaber based on the 1986 movie and a purple energy flail-mace-whatever-thingy because Prime and Megatron will never escape that once scene where they briefly pull melee weapons out of their sleeves. You do a party trick one time and your mates will never forget it. Anyway, the mace is crap, having a real metal chain which makes it impossible to do action poses, and I've found the lightsaber far more useful given to other characters in need of a power-up. Blitzwing likes it a lot, for example.
I mean really, I bought this bastard so that I'd never need to buy another Megatron again, and so far it's worked out. But as time goes on and the original IDW 'verse fades into history he becomes more and more of a relic of past times. Alas, etc.

The Benefits Of A Minecraft Server Rental Provider
Tumblr media
The most important include the Minecraft version being run by the server, online time percentage, lag time and mods. Ensure that your server has an updated version and make any edits where possible. If you are a Minecraft fan, you definitely want to enjoy the best gameplay possible. Browse server options. It is a good starting point to finding the best server for your gameplay. Any charges should also be reasonable enough for the value you get to improve your gameplay and general Minecraft experience. They did not have enough players to sustain the game. What sounds simple enough turned out to be a hard problem: there are many ways to measure supply and demand and we tried every approach. Whereas there is nothing wrong with such conditions, you want to be careful when giving, your payment information, especially if you have just started and you are not sure you can trust it.
Check the population. Once you have identified a server, you may be interested in, it is important to check out how many players are logged in. Check out technical information. In addition, you should also know the basic technical aspects of the installment. During the installment process, there are instructions explaining what to do next, thus, you must be able to understand the instructions. First of all, there are unofficial patches, which are mods that are used to fix bugs. By browsing the options, you will be in a position to know which ones are active and popular among players. To change the details of the game such as the texture or skins, you can create your own texture or skins to replace the default ones. Second, are the ones that create a whole new game, known as a total conversion, and last, are mods that give new content to the game itself, known as partial conversions.
Minecraft Maps and Skins is based on Joel (Troy Baker) who is a single father living near Austin, Texas, with his daughter Sarah. 2.5 billion dollars by Microsoft in 2015, the studio who is responsible for sweeping hit Minecraft, which has shipped over 70 million copies is also responsible for another game. On the surface Scrolls had everything going for it, from a development studio literally awash with money to a massive audience who were excited to try whatever Mojang could produce. Readers note that the recommended amount of RAM for Minecraft is 4GB, whilst the minimum amount that is specified on the Mojang website is 2GB, so if you're not up to these marks then you may experience some performance issues. Then only six months later in 2015, Mojang announced defeat. These three basic types of mods are then transformed into types that are more specific. After several months the figures are described as a retention rate of 3-5% players.
Minecraft being a very open-ended game, one that thrived with a single-player mode and a player led multiplayer did not require developer leadership, it grew organically with players creating mods, creating servers and creating adventures themselves. It is inexhaustible. Your imagination can go beyond limits and it gives you that flexibility of creating a fancy and attractive house, castle, farm and much more. Visit the server website to find out as much as you can and ask as many questions as you have to until you are comfortable. However, bear in mind that you should really know what you are doing, otherwise you might end up corrupting your important game data such the worlds or the copy of the game itself. However, with Minecraft Texture Packs or Mods, the shortcomings can be overcome a bit. However, various backgrounds may make your gaming experience more fun and less boring. Games on Snagglefly and Mods do not only give you more options of various backgrounds in the Minecraft world. With so many server options available, taking into consideration a few important things should help you make the most suitable decision. For beginners, finding a basic mod pack that you like will help you avoid mod conflicts and bugs, while more advanced or code-savvy users can create their own custom combinations to achieve the best look for their ship.

Hereditary: Annie [ISFJ]
UNOFFICIAL TYPING BY: anonymous
Functional Order: Si-Fe-Ti-Ne
Tumblr media
Perceiving Functional Axis:
Introverted Sensing (Si) / Extroverted Intuition (Ne)
Annie’s hobby and career is creating miniatures and dioramas in which she chronicles her entire life in rich detail, highlighting every and any event that has impacted her heavily. When her mother passes away, she simply cannot shake off how strained their relationship was and how difficult her childhood was as a whole. She even considered abortion when she was pregnant with her son because she was concerned he might suffer the same fate as her brother when she was young, thus not wanting to repeat a cycle. After her daughter’s tragic death, Annie still sleeps in the treehouse where the latter spent most of her time as to symbolically grieve her loss. Annie is highly skeptical when others try to reach out to her as she believes it’s just superficial comfort and they can’t actually do anything for her, but once she reluctantly accepts to participate in a seance and sees the results, she gives in to her Inferior Ne in delight but it quickly escalates in her completely losing her sanity.
Tumblr media
Judging Functional Axis:
Extroverted Feeling (Fe) / Introverted Thinking (Ti)
As reluctant as she may be to open up to others, she does feel this constant need to unload anything that burdens her heart. When she finally speaks in a group meeting, the floodgates open and she goes on about every single thing wrong in her life, past and present. She is willing to hear out another mother who has lost her son and grandson because she clearly identifies with her pain. However she still stuffs some of her resentment inside which causes her to become passive-aggressive, emotionally manipulative or flat out going off on others. As is the case in many horror movie protagonists, once Annie clears her emotions, she gets into investigation mode, trying to connect everything about her mother’s life, noticing several disturbing discrepancies and trying to form the big picture as to what is actually happened/is happening.
Tumblr media
Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff
House Traits: hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play.
Annie is a natural maternal figure and if it was up to her she would attend to all her family member’s needs. However, since one horrible event happens to her family after the other, she simply tries to do her best to be there out of duty but struggling to keep her sanity intact.
Tumblr media
Enneagram: 1w2 sp/so
Tritype: 126 The Supporter [1w2 2w1 6w5]
Annie is heavily family-oriented, but desperately wants to correct the mistakes of the past and make sure her children have a much better childhood than her, hence why she chose to keep them estranged from her mother. She’s all about a better tomorrow at any cost. However, under stress she tends to go down the rabbit hole when something has a grip on her and then becomes over-zealous and lashes out at her family for not understanding her. Yet in return, Annie always needs to find safety and comfort in others, she is reluctant to accept help but actively seeks it out in the same breath.
