Holographic Ring, 1st century CE,
Tomb of Aebutia Quart, Grottaferrata necropolis, Italy,
This exquisite artifact features a rock crystal intricately carved to depict her son, Titus Carvilius Gemello. The engraving on the back of the crystal skillfully manipulates light, creating a holographic effect that makes the image appear remarkably lifelike.

Some good policy reasons to get excited about Harris. Gun control! Heathcare! LGBT rights!
Fighting for the fate of the world: has said she’ll make climate change a top national security priority; was one of the original Senate sponsors of the Green New Deal (others: Ocasio-Cortez, Markey), much of which became Biden’s stealthily VERY green Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and the Inflation Reduction Act
Yes, she was a prosecuting attorney; no, it’s NOT an ACAB situation—highlights of her time as District Attorney of San Francisco and Attorney General of California include enabling a re-entry/anti-recidivism program for young drug users which is now used as a template around the country, pointedly not prosecuting people for marijuana possession (distinctly before it was legal), defending Californians against foreclosures, got the “gay/trans panic” defense BANNED in CA courts, and being the first statewide agency to require all police offers to wear body cams.
As VP she’s spearheaded abortion rights, developed and nearly passed a landmark voting rights bill (stymied by Senate Republicans + 2 Democrats unwilling to change filibuster rules), and quietly built a solid foreign policy portfolio, including firm support of Palastine.
Find out if you’re registered to vote in any state!
Register to vote in any state!
Other voting resources—and DON’T FORGET to vote down-ballot, too! See how much Harris did as County District Attorney and State Attorney General? Those are elected offices!

Tis the season to remind US voters:
If a church endorses or condemns a political candidate or unduly attempts to influence legislation, they are breaking the terms of their tax-exempt status.
You can report violations here.

This opinion is a like a week too late but like in literally no other context would someone lie for 4 hours and then people would say he won the debate and the guy who didn't lie for 4 hours lost
First thing he said when i tuned in was that the founding fathers didn't know about abortion

bor’dor 24 hours ago: herding sheep, caring for his brother, literally just some guy
bor’dor now: taking an angel’s face in his hands, giving it a kiss on the forehead, telling it “enough,” and taking what’s left of its life force

🐙 Daily Cephalopod Fact: 🐙
Blue-Ringed Octopus: They are one of the world's most venomous marine animals. Despite their small size, 5 to 8 in. and relatively docile nature, they are very dangerous if provoked when handled because their venom contains a powerful neurotoxin called tetrodotoxin. The blue-ringed octopus carries enough venom to kill 26 adult humans within minutes. Their bites are tiny and often painless, with many victims not realizing they have been envenomated until respiratory depression and paralysis begins. No blue-ringed octopus antivenom is available.

I'm currently listening to Invisible String and You're Losing Me by Taylor Swift
And its made me think...
I wonder how many other people had the same experience of entering this fucked up fandom as I did?
For me, what really solidified it was definitely this:

I fucking miss that guy.
It took me such a long time to let go of the thought that he actually wasn't that guy.
It took me even longer to realize that he was never that guy, but that that guy was a PR made personality. It was never him.
It was all just created and manufactured for mass consumption.
I'm still dealing with accepting that.
Because deep down, in my deepest most darkest depths, I want to root for him.
I want to root for him so bad.
I was content, rooting for him forever.
But I can't anymore.
He ruined it.
He fucking ruined it.
Because no matter how much I wish him the best, I can't wish him this. I have tried to put my personal opinions aside, I have tried to look at this whole thing objectively.
But no matter how I look at it, it's just wrong. It's gross, it's racist, it's disappointing.
No part of me can support it.
So I cling to the person he used to be. At least until I'm ready to let go.
And while I do it, I lie to myself.
I tell myself he was truly this person, once.
Even though I know now that he never was.
