So, I saw "The Wild Robot" on opening night in 3D, and well, given its critical and financial success for Universal, Illumination, and DreamWorks, I feel like Roz should be a meet-and-greet character at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort. I know it can work if you depict her as a mascot character. But as far as if she should be able to talk, I'm sure it's possible thanks to voice AI or something. She is a robot after all. And like in the film, her face would glow whenever she talks.

Even when some trash cans are unmagical by definition, it's commendable to highlight examples of quality work. The debut of DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida in June 2024 exemplifies such a case. This new land, which has taken over the space of Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone, focuses on characters from the Shrek, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda franchises. It features attractions tailored for children, such as the Trolls-themed roller coaster, an interactive Kung Fu Panda playground, a Shrek meet-and-greet, and a live stage show starring various DreamWorks characters. Amidst these attractions, one might not expect the trash cans to stand out—yet they do. Universal has eschewed the minimalistic approach of merely adorning a generic can with a sticker, often a standard play for Disney when they even bother with can theme in recent attraction openings. Universal has instead opted for a more immersive trash can experience. Three open-top designs, each aligned with the intellectual properties of the land, boast faux carvings on a rock-like surface that depict elements from the character properties. This thoughtful detail might have been an easy aspect to overlook, but Universal's decision to enhance even the most mundane elements like trash cans is a testament to detail. Intentional design for a small thing is important. As we often say, the level of attention an organization devotes to something as seemingly insignificant as trash cans speaks volumes about their overall focus. The Incredible Hulk — The roller coaster where you become The Hulk. A Hulk? This Bolliger & Mabillard launch coaster opened for the first time in 1999, and for the second time in 2015, and is located at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando Florida. After being launched out of the lab as you mutate at 67 mph, you are sent into your first inversion before coming to the rides gorgeous cobra roll. The cobra roll, which is the highest point on the coaster, reaches its peak height of 110 ft.

fun universal fact: even though the one fish two fish ride and the cat in the hat ride (yes that one) are separate attractions they share a lot of things (management, break space, etc.) so they are often referred to together as “catfish” and to commemorate that we now have actual mini catfish in the breakroom

While "Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken" flopped at the box office despite doing better on streaming (given the film was available in theaters and on Peacock on the same day), I still feel like Ruby Gillman deserves to be a mascot character at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood. Her movie may not have been the best received, but I somehow feel like "Ruby Gillman" will end up becoming a cult favorite one day.

If she was available at Universal Studios Theme Parks, I believe she would be available to sign autographs, shake hands with guests, and even hug them.
