33 and 34's Admin is Download, a relatively new Admin that the council felt held promise. Most of the main group isn't really convinced, considering they know just how intense dealing with the SMG universes can be. It says a lot about how they see someone's chances when Cursor says something about the situation and is only scolded for being rude about it instead of bitch-slapped across the room for talking out of her ass.

Though, nobody's as worried about Download possibly crashing and burning as Download herself. She's well aware that she was thrust into this extremely important position way too soon, and that her new coworkers are apprehensive at best about dealing with her. It doesn't help that she's a very talkative person, to the point that she's often been called annoying in the past, and all the nervous energy is manifesting as a flood of nonstop chatter that would get on even the most stoic Program's nerves.

Still, she's not going to let all that stop her. She's bound and determined to complete this assignment to its fullest and give her Guardians the best shot she possibly can. And despite everything, she does it! Everything in her SMG Mod package is fully tested ready to go right on time, despite everyone's expectations (including her own), and once all the preparations are made she launches the program.

That's about when her console starts electrocuting her.

Next thing she knows, she's waking up in the infirmary with Vitality and Lag standing over her, and a terrible pain in her chest and throat. Turns out there's good news and bad news.

The good news is, while the merging of Sally's universe and the Diamind universe shouldn't have happened in the first place, they've integrated almost seamlessly, and they know from the Arles that the split Avatar setup, while slightly unstable, is sustainable long-term, even if one of the Avatars happens to go rogue. And the SMGs are both perfectly fine and their programming is fully functional. 33 did admittedly land near Cole instead of in the Internet Graveyard like she was supposed to (34 ended up near Sally. Thought it would be neat if they each landed near the Avatar that the other one is a recolor of), but again, her programing is fully functional so she'll definitely go there at some point. They don't have another SMG3 on their hands, thank god.

The bad news is about Download herself. The power surge that was created by the merge ended up grounding into her, causing her to take the full brunt of it all at once and severely damaging her code. If she were a character-level program that much electricity would've killed her outright. As it is, Vitality did what she could to repair the worst of the damage, but nearly everything to do with audio output is straight-up gone.

The pain she's feeling will eventually subside, barring any wireframe scars that may develop, but she'll never speak again.

Going from least favorite to most favorite! AG, DP, SM, JN, XY, BW, OS

AG- I'm not a huge fan of this one. I feel like there's not a lot helping break the colors up in this design. The block of blue and the white "U" shape are competing to draw your eye and it feels unbalanced. I feel like if the "U" shape was on his chest or took up more space it'd help

DP- This outfit is pretty similar to AG's except Ash has a popped collar rather than a hood. However this one has two things going for it that I like. The "V" shape placement is nice and is what I wished the AG design had and also the black shirt is very unique compared to all of Ash's other designs that tend to be blue-leaning! Also like the extra pockets that make the pants feel less empty than the AG one

SM- Another unique look for Ash that I do like but isn't my favorite. It's simple and I do like the pants a lot actually but idk I just want a little more. The shoes make me laugh a bit. I like that they're going for a more slick look for the shoes but the little circles on em feel vaguely clown-like haha

JN- From here on I really like these designs! I like the JN shoes a lot and they honestly be my favorite shoes of the bunch. Not the hugest fan of the hat but I really like the vest and the white undershirt with red stripe. The balance and colors are really nice! My only gripe is the color of his shorts. It's not egregious but the purple that's only slightly different in value compared to the vest is weird to me. It works but idk I think a higher contrast might've been nice or just going for simple black shorts would've felt better to me (?)

XY- Don't have much to say about this one! It's just a solid, clean design. The hat is fun, the simple shirt with white trim and just enough lines to make the design look cool but not crowded is great! I also like the black undershirt. It's subtle but this design would look weird without it

BW- UGH this design scratches my brain just right. I looove the tall collar/hood, the 1/3 blue 2/3 white combo is soooo clean especially with the blue accents for the pockets. It's also nicely broken up by they yellow zipper and bold black "U" lines to separate the blue and white. So beautifully balanced

OS- This is a hard design to beat. It's just so iconic. Love the league symbol on the hat and the white panel in the front of that hat (forgot to mention I like that about the BW design too). The green gloves are great, I'm kinda sad they just defaulted to black in his other designs. The blue overshirt is great with the white collar/white sleeves. The yellow trim on the bottom, for the buttons and pockets give it just enough visual interest while keeping the design interesting. Keeping the overshirt open for the black tshirt is sooooo nice. It draws the eyes to the center and balances well with the light jeans. Love that it's tucked in also so the overshirt is noticeably longer creating even more variation. The belt is also a great touch! Love a belt. Belts are such a nice way to break up a design. The cuffed jeans are a look and I love that the shoes are designed but not over designed. The black and white combo with red accents is balanced super nicely. 10/10 no notes.

As for an outfit I'd wish we'd seen Ash in........ honestly Victor's. It would have been a huge deviation from what Ash usually wears, similarly to SM. Idk if it would have been my favorite look but it would be so wildly different to see Ash in long sleeves, actual skinny jeans and a beanie haha. Might have to draw this at some point

The originals have been revamped. All meshes have been completely redone from scratch. I have fixed some chunkiness, wobbliness, and other strange issues that have been present in the originals since 2019. I also went ahead and made at least 1 new shape for each family while I was at it (plus a bonus shape for Classic that I made as a personal edit, years ago, and forgot about until now)

You may notice a folder labelled 'OLD VERSION' when you click on the download link. These are the original 2019 files, and they are still available if you prefer or need them for any reason whatsoever. You can have both editions in your game at the same time. Any sims wearing the old version will have to manually update to the new ones once you install them.

You can have any combination of the slots installed in your game, or all of them at once (there is an all slots merged package for your convenience, in this case). If you have multiple slots installed, you can mix and match different antennae on different slots to make your own unique combos!

So what's new?

All the meshes have been remade to look a little smoother, while still staying as close as humanly possible to the shape of the originals.

They have all LODs now!

The placement of the UV maps has changed as well, and as you may be able to see from the Irked images, they can pick up some patterns from your sims' faces now in addition to just colors! (They can all do it, but on my models, Irked is the only shape that really demonstrates this. Play around with antenna/skin overlay combos and see what you get!)

There are also better weights now! The longer antennae especially, as seen below the cut, needed improved weighting. They bend with the body now, instead of clipping through it so much. But, there will still be come clipping issues on larger sims and in some animations. There's only so much I can do

And, perhaps the biggest quality of life improvement, they only take up 1 thumbnail spot in CAS. Simply change the swatches as though you were changing colors to access all of the unique shapes!

It all started with your arrival at the Mirror Chamber for a meeting with Vil and Crewel. You’d thrown together the first thing you saw in your closet, which just so happened to be a bright orange leopard-print hoodie, glittering silver leggings with a full picture of a unicorn galloping across your thighs, and, naturally, crocs with socks. But not just any socks—socks with flames on them. Yes, you thought it was a look. A statement.

Yes, crocs with socks. How had that ensemble survived into Twisted Wonderland? Mysteries abound.

You walked into the room with the confidence of someone blissfully unaware of the impending disaster you were about to unleash. "Hey! So what’s up, guys?"

Vil, who had been looking down at his phone, slowly raised his head. His expression went from neutral to horrified within seconds. His eyes widened like you had just committed an unforgivable crime in the fashion world.

Crewel, standing next to Vil, dropped his pointer stick in shock. “Oh, sweet Circe...”

“What?” You blinked, completely oblivious. “Oh, wait—do I have something on my face?” You wiped your cheek in confusion.

Vil was speechless, but you could practically see the gears turning in his head, trying to make sense of the monstrosity before him. Finally, he spoke, his voice trembling, “What… is this… abomination?”

Crewel chimed in, clutching his heart like he had just suffered a blow. “Pup, did you get dressed in the dark? Or did you get dressed at all?”

You looked down at yourself, frowning. “What’s wrong? I think I look fine.”

“Fine?” Vil echoed, his tone high-pitched in disbelief. “Fine? You look like a circus clown who just got into a street brawl with a technicolor vomit palette!”

You winced, shrugging. “But it’s comfortable!”

Vil took a deep breath, placing a hand on his forehead like he was trying to ward off an oncoming migraine. “Comfortable. You—You’re choosing comfort over aesthetics? Comfort over… dignity?”

Crewel stepped forward, eyeing you like you were some sort of lost cause. “The crocs with socks,” he murmured, almost to himself. “We have truly reached the end times.”

You held out your arms, trying to defend yourself. “Hey, don’t knock the crocs until you’ve tried them! They’re so comfortable!”

Vil looked at you like you had grown a second head. “Comfort?! These… shoes, if you can even call them that, are a crime against humanity. There are many sins in this world, but that?” He pointed at your feet as if they had personally offended him. “That is unforgivable.”

“I’m expressing myself!” you retorted, trying to defend your beloved flames and crocs combo. “It’s, like, a mix of cozy and edgy.”

“It’s a mix of atrocity and chaos!” Vil shot back, rubbing his temples. “I can’t believe this. How can you live with yourself?”

Crewel stepped forward, eyes narrowing at your glittering silver leggings. “Do these shine in the dark?” he asked incredulously.

“They do,” you admitted proudly. “Handy for late-night trips to the kitchen.”

Vil’s gasp was practically theatrical. “No, no, no… This… this is a crime against humanity, a crime against eyes. You have reached a level of fashion disaster I didn’t even think was possible.”

You puffed out your chest. “It’s expressive!”

“It’s revolting,” Vil countered. “I’m losing years off my life just by looking at it.”

You sighed, waving your hand dismissively. “Okay, okay, I get it, you hate my style. But this is just how I roll, you know? I like to stand out! You gotta admit I’m unique!”

“Unique?” Vil choked. “No. This is not unique. This is a fever dream. This is what happens when nightmares and bad taste have a lovechild!”

Crewel leaned over to Vil, whispering in horror, “I’ve never seen anything like it in my life, and I’ve seen everything.”

Vil placed a hand on Crewel’s shoulder, staring dead-eyed at your outfit. “We have to do something. Immediately.”

You looked between them, still unsure of what the big deal was. “Guys, come on, it’s not that bad.”

Vil snapped his gaze to you, eyes wild with disbelief. “It’s worse than bad! I’m actually offended by how you’re standing there as if you’ve done nothing wrong.”

Crewel nodded solemnly. “This is a rescue mission, pup. And you’re about to thank us for it.”

Suddenly, Vil’s face lit up with determination. “This… abomination cannot stand. I will personally oversee your rehabilitation.”

You blinked. “Rehabilitation?”

“Yes,” Vil said, voice firm. “You’re a danger to yourself and everyone around you. Fashion this offensive is a public safety hazard.”

You glanced at Crewel, pleading for help. But Crewel, instead of coming to your aid, smiled like he had just found the perfect opportunity for training. “Listen to Vil, puppy. He knows best. And maybe, just maybe, we can prevent another tragedy like this from happening again.”

“But—” you started, trying to defend your beloved crocs one last time, “what if I just—”

“No.” Vil cut you off, his voice final, as if he were delivering a royal decree. “From this moment on, you are banned from wearing crocs. And if I ever catch you with socks and sandals…” He narrowed his eyes threateningly.

“But I don’t own sandals?” you tried to protest.

“Good,” Vil replied sharply. “Keep it that way.”

Crewel nodded sagely beside him. “There’s hope for you yet, pup. Just… never again.”

Vil sighed dramatically, then placed his hands on your shoulders, looking deep into your eyes. “We will make this right.”

You smiled nervously, not entirely sure what you were getting into. “Okay, Vil, I’ll trust you… but just so you know, I’m still sneaking in my crocs when you’re not looking.”

Vil blinked at you, his grip tightening just slightly as he whispered in the most chilling tone you’d ever heard, “Try it.”

And suddenly, you weren’t so sure if he was joking or not.

By the end of the day, Vil had somehow convinced you to burn the silver pants, and Crewel was lecturing you on the importance of not traumatizing the general public with “fashion choices that could summon evil spirits.”

Vil looked at you proudly, eyes softening as he muttered, “Much better…”

And as you stood there in an outfit Vil had personally chosen, you couldn’t help but smile. “Thanks, Vil.”

Vil smirked, placing a kiss on the back of your hand, making your heart do a little flip. “Don’t thank me yet. This is only the beginning.”

Crewel clapped his hands together. “And remember, pup, no more unicorn pants, or I’ll have to report you to the fashion police.”

You grinned cheekily. “What, the fashion police, or you two?”

“Both,” they answered in unison.

You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help laughing. “Fine, fine, no more crocs and unicorns… for now.”

Vil gave you a long, narrow-eyed look. “We’ll see.”

But despite all the chaos, you could tell they both secretly cared. Even if they were ready to set your wardrobe on fire.

you were sat at your desk, glasses slipping down your nose, headphones sat atop your head. you had one headphone pushed behind your ear as your monitor displayed a random adventure time episode. you had various nail polishes displayed in front of you, deciding which combo you wanted to do. 

unbeknownst to you, chan was leaning against the door frame, watching the internal debate play out as your eyes dart to each color. he had been in his office/studio working on a few tracks while you were keeping yourself entertained at your desk, playing games with felix, watching shows, etc.

 now you were having a creative war in your brain, trying to come up with unique color combinations and patterns. chan stayed there for a moment, heart swelling with love and overwhelming adoration. he watched as pick out different colors, tongue sticking out slightly as you examined the bottles carefully.

he pushes off the door frame, walking up to you, placing his arms on the back of your chair,. you felt movement behind you causing you to look at the culprit. you smile, pushing up your glasses, “hi bub.” turning your attention back to the small bottles filled with every color of the rainbow.

“what are you doing, bug?” he asks, leaning against your chair, glancing over your shoulder. “i’m trying to decide what color i wanna paint my nails.” you moved to lean back against your chair, causing the aussie boy behind you to shift, wrapping his arms around you.

you lean your head back, lips pursed, silently asking for a kiss. he smiles before placing a sweet kiss to your soft lips. you pull apart before looking forward, leaning your head against one of his arms wrapped around you. “ can i pick out your colors?” he asks, staring at the miscellaneous colorful bottles.

your cheeks warm, “you want to?” he nods, before releasing you, moving to grab your old chair in the corner of the room, pulling it up to your desk. you scoot over, giving him space to slide in next to you.

he becomes serious, analyzing each bottle individually, before grabbing two colors, a rich, inky black and a soft, light purple. you look at him with waiting eyes, he sat there looking at the colors for a moment before he looks over to you. his signature side smile, dimple on full display as he slides the two bottles to you.

“these two?” you ask, grabbing the bottles out of his hand. he nods, “can we try something?” you hum, prompting him to continue. “so i saw a video of a girl getting her nails done and she got her nails done one color and then painted her pinky black.” you nod, turning towards him. 

“and then she painted her boyfriends nails and she painted all of them black and then painted his pinky the color she painted her nails.” he finished shyly, looking down at the two bottles in your hand. “so you want to paint my nails with the purple and then my pinky black and then i’ll do the opposite for you?”

you watch as chan’s cheeks slightly reddened as he lightly nods. you giggle, placing your hand on his cheek. “that’s so cute baby, i’d love to do that with you.” you quickly kiss his cheek before letting out a happy squeal.

you shake your arms in excitement before turning back to your desk, you take off your head phones, placing them on your monitor. you quickly put all of the other colorful bottles away where they belong before grabbing all the things you need to prep his nails. you had already prepped yours since you were planning on painting them anyway. 

you look back over to the aussie boy next to you,` looking at you with pure adoration, falling more and more in love with you. “what?” you ask, looking at him with big eyes. he smiles, shaking his head, “nothing, what you got there?” he points to the various tools you set out.

you explain each one as you grab the nail polish remover and some cotton pads. “so the stick is gonna push back your cuticles and the clippers are gonna trim them before i use the nail polish remover to remove any oil on your nails.” he listened intently as you explained each item.

“okay so here’s the question, do you want to paint my nails or do you want me to do both?” you ask looking back to him. “maybe you do both this time and i’ll watch and then next time i’ll do your’s.” you nod before grabbing the towel you use specifically for doing your nails.

you lay the towel out in front of him before grabbing his hands and placing one on the fabric, keeping the other in your hand. “okay, i’m gonna clean your nails quick and then i’ll start painting.” he nods before looking at the screen in front of you, the cartoon still playing on the screen.

you notice this, placing his hand on your thigh before grabbing the headphones, “here.” you whisper, gently placing the headphones over his ears. he looks over at you with a pout. “what’s wrong bubba?” you ask, small smile making it’s way on your lips at his cute antics.

“now i can’t hear you.” he whined, his pout somehow bigger. you giggle before pushing back one of the speakers off his ear. “better?” you ask. he immediately smiles before turning his attention back to the animated jake and finn in front of you. you smile to yourself as start pushing back his cuticle.

“if it hurts please let me know, i don’t want to hurt you okay?” you look up to him, catching the slight nod as he was already engrossed in the show. you smile at your boyfriend before going back to work.

you push each cuticle back with care and precision before placing his hand on the towel before grabbing the other, repeating the process. you place his second hand back on the towel before grabbing the first and the clippers.  “try to stay still okay? i don’t wanna cut you.” he looks over after hearing your serious tone.

he smiles, giving you a firm nod before turning back to the screen. you slowly make your way around each finger, mindful not to get anywhere close to his skin. you finish the first hand once again moving to the second before repeating the process once again.

you put his hand back onto the desk, before grabbing the base coat, shaking the bottle. the movement caught chan’s attention, “oh what’s that? base coat?” he asks, looking at the bottle of clear polish in your hands. you nod your head, humming and you unscrew the brush from the bottle.

you place the bottle on the desk before putting your hand out, waiting for him to place his in yours. he gives you his hand, returning his attention to the screen, fully engrossed in the animations.

you paint each nail with precision, tongue poking out in concentration. after you finish the first hand, you place it back on the towel before tapping his other hand causing him to move the  second one towards you, eyes glued to the screen. you can’t help but look at him with pure adoration, the way he looks captivated by the show while fully trusting you to do whatever you want to his nails.

your cheeks warm before you grab his hand, painting each nail with the clear polish. you placed his hand back down, screw the brush back into place, turning your attention to the screen as you wait for his nails to dry. luckily you refuse to watch anything without subtitles so you were able to follow along easily.

you lay your head on his shoulder, placing an arm on his thigh, drawing random shapes on the soft skin. you feel him place a long loving kiss on your head before laying his on this same spot. you both stay like that for a moment, enjoying each other’s presence.

after a few minutes you gently tap his thigh, signaling him to move. he let out a small whine before moving, looking at you with a pout. “don’t give me that look, mister.” you scold him playfully. “you’re the one that asked me to paint your nails.” he mimics you before huffing, turning back to the screen.

“hey.” you whine, catching his attention. once he turned to you, it was your turn to pout, his eyes softened immediately “that was mean.” your frown deepens, jokingly crossing your arms. “oh baby, i’m sorry.” he coos, attempting to apologize. you turn your head the other way, nose up, egging him on.

“my bug, please.” he begs, you can only assume his puppy dog eyes are on full display. when you don’t react he brings out the big guns. he scoots his chair impossibly closer to you while pulling you closer to him. “sweetheart, please.” he begs, grabbing your arm, entwining your fingers before bringing your hand to his lips, placing a sweet kiss to the back of it.

you look over at him, actively fighting the smile attempting to make its way onto your face. “come on sweetheart, you know i was just playing.” he says, his voice dripping with sweetness. you can feel your face getting warm as you cave. “that’s not fair.” you grumble, pulling your hand away, causing him to pull back, scooting away slightly.

“what’s not fair, sweetheart?” he asks, feigning innocence. you glare at him. “you know what, don’t play coy.” you accuse, scooting your chair back into the desk. you glance over catching the sly smirk gracing his lips, fully aware of the effect that pet name has on you.

you roll your eyes, small smile on your lips as you grab the bottle filled with the dark polish. you shake it quickly as chan settles next to you, placing his hands back on the towel. you unscrew the brush, placing it on the desk and take one of his hands before painting each nail.

taking even more time than you did with the previous clear coat. taking extra care to make sure each nail is coated perfectly with no streaks and nothing on the surrounding skin. after painting the first four with the darker shade before grabbing the lighter, lavender shade, painting his pinky with the same caution.

after finishing the first coat you repeat the same careful process with his other hand. your tongue starts poking out as your concentration increases, fully committed to the task at hand. so committed you didn’t realize chan had abandoned watching the nostalgic cartoon to watch you meticulously paint each nail with care.

you continue to repeat the process for a second coat, ensuring the color would but rich and vibrant. it’s only when you finish painting his second pinky purple that you notice his stare. you lay his hand back on the towel before looking over to him, realizing he’d been staring at you, causing you to do a double take.

“what?” you ask, pushing up your glasses that were slipping down your nose, tilting your head to the side. his cheeks redden slightly, before smiling and shaking his head. “nothing.” he looks down at his nails, his smile getting impossibly bigger. “it looks so good bug, thank you.” you smile.

“i’m glad you like them.” you say before grabbing the top coat giving it a shake. “alright i’m gonna give that a few minutes to dry then i’ll put on the top coat. and then once that’s dry you’ll be all set.” he nods, turning his attention back to the cartoon.

you place the clear bottle on your desk before scooting slightly closer to him and the desk. you relax back in your chair, placing your arm on his back, hand landing in his hair, lightly scratching his scalp. he lets out a hum of satisfaction, leaning his head back into your hand like a cat.

a few minutes pass and you decide it’s time to apply the top coat. you sit up, taking your hand out of his hair, shaking the bottle once more. you hear a whine coming from beside you. “what’s wrong?” you ask, looking over him.

he pouts before letting out a yawn. “i was almost asleep.” he say through the yawn. “well let me finish this quick then we can go lay down okay?” he nods, before yawning once more. you made quick work of coating each nail with the clear polish. “ alright sleepy head, you’re all done.” you screw the top back on, gathering all your tools and paints, putting them away neatly.

“what about your nails?” he asks through a yawn once more. “i’ll do them tomorrow, right now i think it’s time for bed.” you say, taking the headphones off his head, running your hand through his soft hair. he gives you an understanding hum, before closing his eyes.

you place your headphones in their respective place before closing all your tabs and shutting off the colorful pc. you stand up, chan following closely behind. “just be mindful of your nails okay? the top coat is still wet.” you warn helping him up before pushing the chair back to the corner. he comes up behind you, placing his arms around your waist, chin on your shoulder before following you out of the room.

he sits down, moving to get under the covers with your help. “careful bubba.” you remind him, as he settles into the soft mattress. he lifts his hands as you move the blanket to cover him. you round the bed sliding under the blankets before putting adventure time on the tv and turning off the light.

chan opens his arms for you to lay in, burrowing into his chest, getting comfy. “i love you, sweetheart.” he mumbled, kissing your head before letting out another yawn. “i love you too, channie.” you say, placing a kiss above his heart as his breathing evens out, taking him into dreamland as you follow slowly behind him.

we all know for a fact that Mikasa can DRESS

she just has an eye for fashion and has a unique style of her own

one that isn’t over the top, in terms of being a spectacle, but just well put together and tailored to HER. a girl you 110% give a second glance

she is a girlie who LOVES wearing any skirt whether it be long, midi, mini or knee length she LOVES them

most of her pieces are pretty free flowing with lots of different silhouettes

absolutely loves a good leather boot, pair of mary janes, or platform loafers

she literally could wear a trash bag and make it look like it’s the next trend

and has a huge collection of baggus

Armin will literally never be free of the soft light academia aesthetic

the cable knit sweaters, soft cardigans, and sweater vests will forever have a hold on him

Louis-XV-Inspired Robe De Cour

A Maxis-Match Formal Court Gown

Hello my sweeties! I'm so proud to release this gown for all of your 18th-century saves. This has been in my WIP folder for so SO long, and after a bit of a hiatus from creating, I'm so happy I could finish it for you! This gown was inspired by the many portraits of King Louis XV's daughters in their formal court attire.

As usual, I've created different overlay accessories to maximize your customization options in-game. Through different combos of gown color and overlays, there are literally over 100 billion unique looks for this dress... 🤯 I cannot WAIT to see what you can come up with!

Inomata’s Design Notes & Memories - Destiny Cast

Some notes:

I’ve linked images of each thing she references below.

Unlike the first batch of Eternia characters I previously posted, these were in Japanese. And unlike the Destiny 2 ones I translated, she talks about her experiences with the characters in the game and not just her design processes!

The book in question is this one.

What I think about most when designing characters is their colors and the components to their look. The characters are displayed as such small sprites, so in order to be able to differentiate them from each other, I give each of them a specific color palette and unique accessories to each of their outfits.

Stahn’s thing was his scarf. I also made sure his shoulder pads, gloves, and boots looked huge.

Rutee is supposed to be a thief, so I made her look a bit like a ninja. I didn’t want her to look too girly, so I gave her shorts and exposed her navel. For colors I went with red and black, since that’s a distinctive palette. Whenever I’d do boss battles, she’d always be joyfully picking 2 gald off the ground instead of healing my very low HP characters (laughs). I thought about removing her from my party to prevent this, but then I’d feel bad, and it just made me think “this is all part of her plot” (laughs).

Philia is a priestess through and through. I went for white and green to give her an earthly feel (laughs). Her glasses and braids were a strong request from Namco. I came up with designs for her, but they didn’t have the glasses or braids, so they were repurposed for the priests in Straylize Temple. It was the basis for Philia’s design as well as Elraine’s in the sequel. Philia has her eye on Stahn, but he eats too much and he oversleeps. I feel like they’d work out better if Philia was more the assertive type herself (laughs).

Woodrow is an archetypical handsome man, so I didn’t have much to stress about when designing him. He’s a king, so I wished he had a stronger atmosphere behind him. I almost never used him when playing the game though (laughs). When you break into Dycroft, I thought, “it’d be really cool in a narrative sense to use him here, but he’s just so weak”. But you get special dialogue if you take him along, so I went “tsk” and brought him anyway. “Just stick to the backlines and don’t die” (laughs).

Leon’s really easy to draw, so again I didn’t have much to stress about when drawing him. He has a princely vibe to him, so I gave him white tights, but everyone was taken back by it! I thought, “is it that weird?” and ended up making them less tight fitting (laughs). He acts a bit snobbish, gets seasick easily and refuses to eat vegetables, so he really crosses off a lot on the “young master” list. He’s also really fun to use in battle (laughs). He has a really low defense stat but he hits fast, so it’s crucial that you string your combos together. When paired with Stahn, if you can isolate your bosses in the far side of the screen, they go down quite fast. Then I see the popup that Rutee’s picking gald off the floor again and I just use healing items on him (laughs).

I wanted to make Chelsea cute and small, so I based her image off of little birds. I gave her a palette of pink, green and blue, and made her hair look like a cockatoo or parrot. Her bloomers look like a paper lantern and I find them quite cute (laughs). Her life story makes me want to cry though. She’s fine and all in the first game, but in the sequel, she’s still wearing those bloomers from when she was a kid, living all alone on a snowy mountain. And if you go through her drawers, you can take something that Woodrow gave to her. I felt so bad, I thought “even though it’s so out of the way, I’ll go buy all the items you need!” (laughs). Then she makes all of these bows for you, but by then, I’d already enhanced my weapons a lot… But I felt so bad that I never Refined them and thought, “I’ll keep these on me forever” (laughs).

Johnny’s original idea was “troubadour,” but as the story progressed and I gave him his hat and all sorts of plumes, he came out a bit comical (laughs). He’s a really fun character to have in your party though, and I fell in love with him right away. I love that his tone-deafness does physical damage to the enemies (laughs).

With the Swordians, they have the will of humans and I wanted to incorporate that into their designs, but it didn’t seem to fit so I went for something more inorganic. Berselius alone has a creepy aura to him, and when Destiny 2 came around I thought “But his owner is such a nice person! Is it really okay for him to have such a creepy design?” but then I thought well, maybe Harold just likes things that way (laughs).

ive had it on my wishlist since day of the devs last year, and after playing the demo (should still be out right now) i can confidently say its the game im most looking forward to the rest of this year

its this ingenuis mix of pokemon/monster collector JRPGs and volleyball, with the addition of character customization, world exploration, and some pretty charming writing.

the thing that puts this game over the edge for me is the interactions and personality of your team of critters. each one has a range of color hues and size for its species which helps set them apart visually, AND THEN each has their own personality trope that changes how they interact with things around them. oh, did i mention your entire party follows behind you in the overworld? yeah they do and its adorable.

one of the core mechanics is the bonds between your party members- so far ive found rivalry, besties, and partners. they can teach moves to eachother and when 2 members with a bond are on the field they can pull off unique combo moves. the relationships are so modular and unique if you play consistently youll end up with this web of how each critter feels about eachother!!!!

the designs themselves are also charming as fuck. its made by the same team who made Chicory and Wandersong so thats to be expected
