If I could be anyone in the world I would be Jerma because there's no way Jerma hasn't made bad mistakes but he seems like a completely unhaunted person, so I feel like if I became Jerma I would know what to do with everything I regret

i always heard this line as "the heaven" which I found really funny. "the heaven and the hell". which, coupled with my anxiety, led to the creation of my catchphrase "they're probably going to send me to The Hell for this one"

meg and dia are a really interesting band, because the titular frampton sisters are multiracial korean-american women who fronted a band that, when it was most famous, was majority asian-american in a scene that was extremely sexist and racist and that, with exceptions for certain white women (see: flyleaf and paramore) and men of color, primarily found fame and success the purview of white men
with all the hagiographies of the warped tour scene twenty years later, with all the claims that the scene has always been "diverse" (despite the ways that we memorialize only a certain kind of diversity -- see the centering of white women and white women only when we try to write “feminist” histories of warped tour), with all the ways that people try to fictionalize a more "diverse" scene via imaginary OCs or bands that were not active during the height of the warped tour era, it would be informative to turn to meg and dia more to inform this critical turn--but we don't. for a few reasons, already outlined above, for structural reasons outlined above. but that's a shame, especially as we ask ourselves how we really want to remember the warped tour scene.
do we actually want to remember the complexities and real diversities of the scene, or will it take us another 20 years to remember the people of color (and women of color especially) who found both joy and marginalization, success and struggle, in what we have now since canonized?
#mixed race asians emo band?? awesome!!!#emo#2000s#huh is it common for people to make diverse emo band OCs

"everyone suddenly seems really stupid and aggressive" its brain damage from covid
"im sick all the time now and everyone at work is sick all the time" its immune system damage from covid
"im sick again, but i tested and its not covid haha" its still probably covid, rapid covid tests have been estimated at 30% positive accuracy by researchers who are factoring in strain mutation and user error
"no one can drive anymore, what happened" its brain damage from covid
"why am i suddenly mentally ill" its brain damage from covid
"i started feeling weak, breathless, confused, distracted, irritable and in pain but it was a while after i got covid so its not long covid" long covid sets in a random number of months after your covid infection and also asymptomatic covid can cause it
"ive still never gotten covid, isnt that great" unless you are an undiscovered genetic freak (possible) or youve been living in a clean room, you have had a covid infection. it may have been asymptomatic
"im sick but its from blood clots, heart disease, asthma, nerve damage, narcolepsy, etc" covid attacks the entire body and can cause all of these things as downstream effects
"ive already had covid so i probably have pretty good immunity by now" covid does not work like this. the more times you are infected, the more permanently injured you will become, and the more vulnerable to further covid infections and infections of all other viruses and bacteria
"ive been vaccinated so im safe" covid does not work like this. vaccination lowers your likelihood of developing severe infection, it does not protect you from contracting the virus
"well what am i supposed to do" wear a mask
#covid#psa#health#especially 'never gotten covid' i hate the way so many polls on this website phrase that

I see way too many posts about being really affectionate with your friends and if you aren't hugging and kissing your friends then you don't really have friends and you should be in love with your friends a little bit and it annoys me so here's a post that shouts out non-affectionate friends. shoutout to the people who don't like affection or hugging or being super gushy with each other but still love and appreciate their friends dearly. shoutout to the people who find it really hard to be emotionally vulnerable and sweet but are still always there for you in a crisis. shoutout to people who don't have to be hugging you constantly to prove that they care about you

sometimes i wish i could tell other women that you can just stop removing your body hair and in many cases the consequences will be way less severe than u expect. you can go to the beach with all your leg hair intact and nobody will stop you or say a thing. you can stop waxing your upper lip and people won’t stare at it the way u might be bracing yourself for. you can quit plucking your brows and eventually they will grow back into themselves and no one will even notice. like for sure women are punished for not participating in beauty rituals but i also feel like so much of it is like The Panopticon sometimes where you just convince yourself that if u stop that kind of gendered upkeep everyone will be mad and stop talking to u forever when in reality you just keep existing and nothing remarkable happens. it’s not always easy but you can kind of just stop for real
