How did your qpr Sonadow end up so obsessed with eachother?

Was there even a reason or were they freaks about eachother from the get go?

Canon wise comes from Shadow’s continuous deaths (the Ark exploding, Black Doom. Several other events) at which Sonic was front line and center to. It’s often a theme that one would get desensitized to someone dying over and over — they can just come back right? no biggie! — but it’s a lot different when you know for a fact this guy wants to live not only to honor Maria’s memory but to become someone he loves. Doesn’t help that Sonic genuinely admires Shadow and looks up to him and holy shit stop exploding please.

Then there’s their rivalry.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that Shadow's a rather polite dude who genuinely admires Sonic's strength, recklessness and duality when it comes to their fighting? That that's why Shadow enjoys going toe-to-toe with Sonic more than anyone else? Versatile and skillful hell yeah compatibility—that and they just click better than they do with other people. Sonic has a habit of getting along with other people really well (see: IDW comics, Chip in Unleashed. uh. Surge ig) but he's got this type of relationship with Shadow... where he's kind of a dick! And Shadow's kind of into it!

Sonic: [punches Shadow] Sonic: Did that jog your memory, Shadow? Shadow: I want your head on a stick.

That is, of course, from the games but Sonic also has his moments where he respects Shadow. A lot. Sonic X's rendition of their dynamic makes me giggle because Sonic is doing his own thing, so is Shadow, but Sonic wants Shadow to do his own thing with him, while Shadow says no, and Sonic's annoyed by it, and Shadow knows he's annoyed, and Sonic knows he knows, and Shadow's smug about it, and—yeah

The obsession part comes from trauma bonding!

Kind of hard not to be obsessed with the only other person that can ever match you in every way possible and who is also haunted by the memories of the past, the horrible present and the impending future. Kind of hard to ignore how much more at ease you feel when he eats up your Chaos Energy and now you can actually breathe and he's holding you like he's going to discard you but also good gaia thank you and now you both kind of have a knife stabbed at each other's sides and neither of you dare to move because it might kill the other so now all you can do is smile and banter—

I also just really like the idea that Chaos and Black Arms are both very possessive so their influence on the hedgehog is just that. Oh you like your friend? Never let go. Yours forever. And they're kind of just like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ why not

More Tyler theory everybody here we go, time for ChoppedMatSoulPatDreamer 😎 I'm going to put small bits and pieces together since right now I haven't thought of anything big, STIPID BRAIN GUH. anyway uh enjoy and it sure has been a while since I did a Tyler theory @glitchy-across-aus

(I did already put this on my discord server but I also wanted to put it here in case and for other people to look at if they were curious)

so lets start with lillian, and what is going on with her

she is supposed to contrast SMG4 and I can definitely see why with her whole look because its like a pop star or a star in general which matches up with how popular 4 is and because she is supposed to be a fashionista anyway. what also matches up is her being friends with Sofia, the Mario counter part and of course being gay for Evelyn, the SMG3 counter part (SMG34 duh) now with her I have a key thing that I thought was most interesting which I will talk about:

The fact that she has a scar on her eye to me this is the biggest detail of her character, since IGBP is like it is thrown all over it, 4 had mostly the left side of his face (if you are looking at him then it is his right) covered in scars when he had been possessed and also guess what event that glitchy over here has been hinting towards but never gave us answers to? the “broken vase” incident, I'm guessing that it is like the trios own small IGBP event where Lillian speaks out about the spotlight not being shared enough and I'm guessing Mr Puzzles gave her that scar with the broken vase, 💥BOOM💥

Now I'm going to address something, the whole Sofia situation since it isn't as big as a thing as Lillian's discovery was, she is supposed to be the counterpart to mario right? and Mr Puzzles hates mario so uses Tyler as a Luigi counter part which makes sense, but "four people weren't really in his budget?" are you saying that the COMIC RELIEF of MARIO which makes 4 successful doesn't work for Sofia in any way after a while?? OH HELL NAHHHH, He is like the secondary main character and if they work the same way that would be like losing a major asset to the group to keep the whole show running and uh keeping her in a jail? that's just harsh, maybe she wasn't the right person for the job but do you seriously have to give her that type of treatment for the others just not wanting to do parodies anymore? #standwithSofia bro

well I guess it would make sense that Mr Puzzles did that with his hatred for Mario, he isn't exactly morally good, he's the exact opposite and when you take into account the fact he already put mario in a cage before…

BUT ALSO BRINGS ME ONTO MY MAIN POINT THAT I HAVE ONLY JUST THOUGHT OF BRINGING UP! HELL YEAH MY BRAIN ISN'T FULLY USELESS!!!!

The Television Trio are an alternate universe version of SMG4

all the basic signs are there of course but hear me out, yes they all directly contrast each of the main characters, do parodies and so on but the way the crew are talked about makes it seems like Mr Puzzles met the SMG4 crew BEFORE he met the trio since how would he know that Mario was annoying as hell and get every ones personalities to fit? it just wouldn't work otherwise, the events before he was ever revealed like WOTFI 2023 would all have to happen before the trio were ever created or found otherwise Mr Puzzles would have never had the idea to make them in the first place, the only counter argument to this would be that he saw how the crew acted because of how popular 4 is but I highly doubt that because of one detail, when Mr Puzzles is watching the SMG4 Crew for the first time, he uses a TV and not his own screen when he has been shown to use it for other moments and could of just done that, it's a specific detail and is used a couple of times like the Puzzle vision movie where he shows the crew everything they have done so far through the arc or when he was watching them I have done some double checking but if I got anything wrong feel free to correct me

I also believe it is an au since the mushroom kingdom still EXISTS and Tyler was able to be sent there, meaning that not only have all the crew probably had to deal with Mr Puzzles before but he is trying to recreate their fame yet again in a different place, where I am not sure since it could be ANYWHERE, kind of reminds me of my own lore hehe (slight hint ish) but it also means that the crew don't know about this, he is successfully under the radar for now, thanks for reading my rambling lol, I think that is all I can think of for now

i said it because even if we dont interact anymore, i hate seeing people get kicked when theyre down. i cant stand bullying and i cant stand condescending bullshit directed at people who dont deserve it. it wasnt a waste of time because any time a person is getting hurt and they dont deserve it, i step in. i dont care if it was my business or not. it wasnt a waste of time because you still deserve to be treated with respect.

ill say it as many times as i have to but you really dont deserve the hatred you receive. everyone in that server kept telling you that we never hated you but you kept believing we did to the point where it felt like you were making us out to be the bad guys. it was incredibly unhealthy on both sides. we hoped that if we just stayed moots with you on tumblr that itd be okay and that you could distance yourself as much as you needed to so that it wouldnt be so overwhelming.

i see that that probably wasnt really issue but possibly several other things. if you want to stop posting content related to alnst then so be it. thats your decision. we will dwell on you because youre an amazing person and there are many fond memories with you and your characters. if you dont want to participate in any of the fan seasons, including sona season, then we will make adjustments for you. whatever you want to do with your characters is completely up to you.
