Ya know what I’m confused about. I love this series, but that one plotline where they introduce a whole-ass cool new rival to Astral - (who just vanishes from the series later on???) - was so weird. What even was that. And why can I never find that episode.

it forever fucks me up how when yuma went to astral world we got this explanation of chaos as this important force necessary for survival and also generally just an all around good thing and yet don thousand would constantly that the emperors "pure souls" would cause them to go to astral world and that he was corrupting them by making them into barians,,,

i might be reading too into it but this really always came across to me as don thousand internalizing the beliefs brought on by eliphas about chaos, altering his self image and making him see himself as something inherently corrupt and evil, mirroring what don thousand himself would later do to vector

i just think hes neat

(also ive been experimenting w my rendering style, i quite like how this one came out :])

Day 20, Thorn Apple: Disguise

I’m really proud of my Moon Priest V design for Moonage Daydream :) it’s his past life from eons ago.

Alongside Alcor (Kaito) and Mizar (Mizael), Albireo guarded the Numeron Dragon’s final domain and the Numeron Code. Unlike the other two, Albireo was chained to the moon temple and grew jealous of his sun-dwelling counterparts. Cast down to earth for his sins, Albireo was cursed to forever reincarnate and have everyone he loves leave him in each life.

My friend said he looked like a jellyfish, so perhaps there is some convergent evolution going on with him and Kurage

They're relaxing in a hot spring together after some exhausting duels, I guess. This started out as an experiment to see what Astral could look like with his hair down after being physically underwater, then I couldn't stop adding more things and it turned into this. X3

@zexalmonth Belated Day 14: Star of Bethlehem, Purity, Atonement

Endlessly fascinated by these two. They came into each other’s lives at what was probably one of the lowest points for Christopher, and a time of big transitions/vulnerability for Kaito. They’re sort of just using each other to accomplish their own goals, but they’re end up with an unlikely friendship. It ends badly because of circumstances outside their control. They don’t see each other for year(s?). Then they’re trying to kill each other. They start to make up, then they die. They come back and Chris leaves again.

And after all that they finally decide to repair things while traveling to a super remote place and trying to accomplish something their fathers couldn’t even figure out how to do under some nebulous ASAP or the world will end deadline. What was going on there????
