no gossip but I just wanted to talk about the facts of season one (arguably the most pure and best season of the show)

I hold the view that the canonical version of The Bear ended season 1, everything else is St*rer’s doing…

No bc I GET you. I loved everything about season 1, from the score to the colour palette to the pacing. It felt gritty and raw, and imo it's when the show was at its funniest. In terms of the pacing it felt like watching a safdie brothers production, or something like whiplash, bc it's so relentless and quick and quick witted and likeeeee idk it felt so TACTILE man, I feel like I could feel the heat of the burners and smell the sweat and onions and smoke and feel carmy's gross crunchy hair gel!!!!!!! 

I ofc was really glad to have more seasons, and there have been character arcs we wouldn't have gotten if things had ended with season 1 - Tina, nat and Marcus to be specific. (tbh, although I am pro the Richie redemption arc in general, there was smth about Forks that felt contrived and almost too neatly wrapped up in a bow for me. but anyways, that's off topic). 

But yeah, I really get wym about season 1 feeling like the end of canon. S1's ending would've worked well if the show wasn't commissioned for more seasons. (Plus it would've worked well as an ending sydcarmically, which I'm assuming is part of what you mean👀). 

I'm no expert on the behind the scenes lore and I don't understand tv world (bc I know a lot of people here are and do) but you have to wonder how many hours the showrunners originally envisioned telling the story in. Again, Claire feels like contrived drama and faks feeling like fluff and padding. 

Aghh I miss season 1 vibes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats exactly the point!! the REASON newer players like derap and kab have these unrealistic expectations of trust and what it means to be teammates is they havent had the multiple seasons of experience in lifesteal to find it out themselves like older players have. like yes that is how zam and subz felt back then but thats a result of both just who they were as people during s4 which impacted their view on what it means to be teammates. they both also got like mega traumatized by other people in that season as well which Led to them pushing their own feelings and opinions to the side in order to remain loyal until they broke.

it was after what they experienced in s4 that helped them better define what being teammates w someone means to THEM, and what it means to trust someone on the server bc working on the basis that u Need to agree w everything ur teammate says and does or else youre a traitor or a bad teammate only ended up hurting them, and putting them into terrible situations. like what derap is experiencing rn is exactly like s4 zam, aka who zam was before he started standing up for himself and realizing hes allowed to have his own thoughts and feelings and boundaries in his relationships. like the way derap hides his own desires and discards his own thoughts nd feelings on things In Favour of always agreeing w zam to make him happy is incredibly reminiscent of eclipse fed zam.

its a matter of growth and experience yet to be gained; the way trust is currently viewed on ls and the way teammate is defined is individual to each player BUT generally speaking most older lsers definition of them has grown to fall under the same general consensus of "someone you wont always agree with, but who you will stick by and return to in the end bc they are someone you can trust to be consistent in their actions and behaviours BECAUSE you have known them for so long"

OMFG I guess it would depend on the OC! bc there are some I already have in ships with good buddy ole pals that are def off limits, so atp I want to say no bc I have no surefire way of easily differentiating those ocs to the public bc I have like a bajillion of them 😔 (maybe I can update their TH pages🤔) but I did make this for two of my charas a little bit ago!

So Platina and Agape are cool with me! All I ask please is that ppl are respectful of others and me, and understand that these ocs aren’t exclusive to them🙏

Hey I keep seeing people say that ty thinks kit is in love with livvy, how do we know that? Did I miss something?

hey! so! the reason why i have been saying this a lot on my blog (and i'm sure others have as well) is because kit and livvy kiss in los and although it isn’t shown in the book bc we don't have ty's pov, cassie actually confirmed that ty does know about the kiss and that he possibly could have even seen it.

here is an ask that cassie replied to in 2019 which confirms this:

-> side note: the fact that the question was whether livvy and kit's kiss will have an relevance in twp and cassie didn't say no is causing me to go fucking nuts

additionally to confirm this tho in qoaad, there is a quote which goes; “don’t worry,” ty said quietly. “we’re going to get her back. i promise.” which i think heavily implies that ty is not only bringing livvy back for himself but also in a way, for kit as well bc he believes him to be in love with her.

i truly think that this will be brought up again in twp and i just know it will be so fucking angsty and emotional and honestly even just thinking about it has me shaking like the drama, the DRAMA.

The jump btwn the second to last and last always surprise me whenever I make one of these because I always forget to take snapshots after I start painting. It's always like: oh yeah heres the lineart with some colors- BOOM fully finished✨️

I was going to draw the crown too but decided I don't hate myself that much(maybe some other day), and gave him a golden laurel crown, bcs I'm obsessed with that as a motif, and also its very remincient of the boy king statue that started this whole thing!

There's some symbolism of this, both intentionally but also just historically. I love that the orb represents that the monarch is holding the world in their hand, basically every old monarchy has one of those, and I think it's very cool for symbolism. But also bcs of that, I was forced to basically draw catholic fanart so, you win some you lose some. The star halo above him head is both to reference those religious statues with star crowns(I saw them a lot in Europe and they imprinted onto my brain), as well as: his four championships of course!

thoughts on kaiser and ness?

I love them and hate them. They make me physically ill and I think that Kaneshiro is going crazy with the yaoi angst. NagiReo were just a test-run meant to prepare us for them. I love how destructive their relationship is and I'm also confused on many aspects so I need the Kaiser/Ness experts to speak up and enlighten me on some things, but I truly believe that Kaiser is deluding himself into believing that Ness is nothing to him because he doesn't want to be given false hope or maybe he's scared? I don't know as I've said I'm an Isagi main so I may be getting some things wrong, but KaiNess are one of the most well-written characters so far rn and their relationship is so complex and multifaceted.

If you mean separately and not ship-wise, then my point still stands. I adore Kaiser and Ness for reasons I will not elaborate (I find them hilarious). They're in my top 10 and I genuinely want both of them to score
