Steve looking up at Uncle Wayne as the father figure he never had. Unlike his dad, he doesn’t cheat or disappear from his life when things get tough. Eddie loves it because it means he can see his boyfriend even more. It’s all fun and games until Steve goes to his father figure to complain about his boyfriend leaving him at a McDonald’s after a fight they had. Then Eddie has to deal with an upset boyfriend, a disappointed uncle, and an angry Robin to boot.

He has no choice but to take desperate measures. Eddie tells Hopper that Wayne is trying to take his “cool dad” spot in the Party and watches the chaos unfold.

By time anyone realizes what he’s done, he’s made up with Steve and escapes another murderous rage by the skin of his teeth. Mission accomplished, indeed.

Should I make this into a longer fic? I feel like I could go places with this lol

i think the thing i'm most disappointed about with riordanverse fandom now versus like 2014 is not only has the fandom not gotten any less racist or queerphobic or ableist (in fact in some regards its gotten worse!) but now it's just boring too. like there's no fandom infrastructure anymore - the community these days is almost entirely source material-driven - and you deviate from canon even slightly people get weird about it. whatever happened to the post-HoO fanon boom. the fandom needs to get weirder again. and self-sufficient. and less offensive.

#pjo #riordanverse #deep and weary sigh. we need to bring back the lower ecosystem rings of fandom #prop up some good ol' community spaces especially since a lot of old ones have totally petered out #< mostly referring to stuff like ye olde ship headcanons blogs #heck even doing a quick search for ''pjo headcanons'' the most recent blog was last active in 2017 and the other two in 2013 #there's an rp community floating around but im keeping tabs on the riordanverse askblog community and its a bit dire #there's been like what - *one?* maybe two major fandom aus that have floated around recently?#one moreso being one person's au that most people dont actually do much with #and the other more being like a half-hearted general concept that got kicked around for a couple of weeks #i am legitimately tempted to just go wild and start planning out and setting up like a hub for trying to revitalize the community #like the community EXISTS. it's THERE. it ebbs and flows! but now it only really does much when there's new official content #and it rarely exists outside of that #and given we are technically in a fandom boom right now with the show now is like. the perfect opportunity to set up fandom infrastructure #so that new fans have a place to go and integrate with the community and start pumping new life back into things #also i think the fandom becoming more self-sufficient could help with the offensive part since Rick sure isnt helping

plagued with visions about daryl dixon rn you guys. meeting him, getting to know each other and falling in love during the apocalypse. loving each other enough to want to get married, but knowing that that is a luxury that you don't really get to have at the end of the world.

you come back from a run one day with an unusually wide smile on your face and drag him away from the crowd as soon as you get the opportunity. you tell him to hold his wrist out and close his eyes and he squirms a little as he feels something brush delicately against his skin. but when he opens his eyes he's met with a small piece of thread tied loosely around his wrist, just below where a shirt sleeve would sit. he meets your eyes and you explain that it was the closest colour thread you could find that would match your eyes (you had to ask maggie to help you because there were no mirrors for you to look in) and you watch as he traces the thin thread with his fingertips, slowly and carefully pondering over the gift you've given him, before taking your face into his hands and kissing you with such adoration that your knees almost give out under the love you feel pouring from his lips.

#i just think that he would love the simplicity of the thread #everytime he looks at it his heart beats a little faster #he loves that it's so small and it's almost like a secret between the two of you #and that if someone saw it they wouldnt immediately know what it was #(i also think the secrecy would make him happy bec wearing rings would signal to everyone good and Bad that you both have someone to lose #and that is a very dangerous thing to let enemies know #god forbid you got taken and they treated you Worse because they thought he'd be coming to rescue you) (which obviously he would be. but yk #anyways.......#rylie dont look at me #daryl dixon fic #daryl dixon x reader #sage.txt #daryl dixon x you

Can we talk about the difference between Elrond greeting Durin in S1 as opposed to their meeting in S2?

In S1 he goes into the meeting with somewhat selfish expectations and delivers the line “my heart sings to see you, old friend” in the tone of a smooth politician. It feels performative.

It isn’t received well.

In S2, he gently turns, says the exact same line and the sincerity is bleeding from him. It’s the first time all season you see a genuine smile from him, like his heart is really full of joy for that brief moment even though the darkness is pressing down around. He means it.
