Penelope helped deliver the twins (along with Artemis) and is honestly sooo proud of her hubby for this. She was pregnant once as well, so she knows exactly what to do and how to help Ody through it all. She's his rock and biggest support in life.

Telemachus also adores the twins and sees them as his brothers. Honestly, he's been all on his own throughout most of his life so when he found out he was going to become a big brother, he was beyond elated! Dude spent days just losing his mind and going wild XD

The whole family loves the babies so, so much and spoils them like crazy. They'll grow up surrounded by love and attention <333

You’d think with how much they clearly spent on this whole thing they’d have sprung for better entertainment.” He chuckled as he glanced out at the crowd. “Do you wonder what half of them are even talking about?” He pointed discreetly at an elderly pair several yards away, animatedly in conversation though their words couldn’t be heard at this distance. “Take those two — what do you think they’re talking about?” Caradoc leaned even closer to his companion then, lips ghosting by their ear as he whispered, “Because I think they’re secret lovers but old handlebar mustache there just found out he’s been two timed by fancy hat. Why else would he be so red in the face?” Cary’s eyes twinkled mischievously as they danced between the old man with a tomato colored face and impressively curled mustache and the hat wearing individual he was engaged in conversation with, then back to Cary’s own fellow eavesdropping companion.

Jae hadn’t meant to spill the remains of their wine on another party goer. It was the purest of accidents, brought on by a drunken klutz who had tripped on another guest’s dress train and haphazardly waved their arms about while seeking balance, thus knocking the drink right out of the vampire’s hand and onto the nice dress robes of the person passing them by at the most opportune moment. “I mean it, I’m really sorry,” he said, grabbing whatever cocktail napkins were within reach and offering them to the one in soiled dress robes. “I swear, it was an accident, it all happened so fast.” Standing taller, they frowned at the other, trying to asses the fabric for any potential damage. “That doesn’t stain easily does it?” They then reached into their jacket to pull out their wand. “If you trust my spellcasting, I know a charm that will fix it right up.” They felt awful, were willing to do whatever was necessary to right this wrong. “I could also pay for it?” He offered quietly, wand still in hand. Jae hoped they didn’t take the offer — the dress robes looked expensive, definitely more than he could afford.

“I suppose it is kind of fortunate that you’re surrounded by healers,” Ted laughed as he pulled out the small first aid kit he always had strapped onto his belt when in uniform. He had thought initially that he should leave it behind when heading up to the new ward for the party, but he had a nagging feeling that he needed to keep a hold of it. It was small, not too bulky, and mostly consisted of tiny gulp sized portions of potions in small glass bottles, a roll of bandage with smiley faces printed across it, and small tins of healing salves. Things that could be used for smaller and more general healing practices. When he saw the stumble, heard the shatter of glass, he was quick to rush to the guest’s side, assuring everyone surrounding them that he was a licensed healer and would be able to help them. “How does that feel?” He asked, after administering medicine. He was putting his kit away, then taking his wand out from his St. Mungo’s issued holster so he could use a quick cleaning charm on the glass and spilled drink. Once that was taken care of, Ted pulled out a lollipop from his pocket, offering it to the patient. “Drinks are fun and all, but maybe we should take a little sucker break, hm?”

Corban was heading back inside after a much needed smoke break, waving his wand over himself to dispel the smell of nicotine clutching his dress robes as he crossed the foyer of St. Mungo’s. The doors were closing in as he stumbled closer, holding out a hand and calling, “Stop the lift!” Whether because his arm slipped between the closing doors, or the person on the other side magicked them to stop, the elevator doors slid back open, allowing him to cross inside. “Thank you,” he said in a huff, stepping inside. “I take it you’re heading up to the Blishwick Wing as well?” Both passengers settled within, and the lift had begun its ascent… only to come to a random stop between floors with a horrible screech. “….Well that doesn’t sound good,” Corban muttered, digging back into his robes to pull out his wand. “You’d think after spending all that money on the new ward, they’d ensure this elevator worked.” He sighed, turning towards the other stuck in this predicament with him. “I figure if it’s broken reparo ought to work, but just in case do you have any other charms in mind?

The smell of blood and smoke laid heavily in the air, burning through Benjamin’s lungs as he narrowly avoided a volley of artillery fire. His horse nickered with displeasure, but otherwise kept galloping through the fray, leading him to safety while all around him, men clashed with sabers and musket-shot. Gritting his teeth, he encouraged his mount to ride faster.

No longer just a reverend’s son, Benjamin was continuously forced to drop his Bible in favor of a sword – to protect, to serve, to fight for the very friends and family he one day hoped to be reunited. Holding his saber aloft, he moved to charge toward an officer when he felt a strange rippling sensation.

Perplexed, he turned his head, but received a shock once the force of something – a fist? An improvised weapon? – smashed into his ribs and sent him hurtling from his saddle and onto the ground. Benjamin rolled and rolled, dizzy and discombobulated, before the force from striking his head against earth painted him out in a sea of black.

When he awoke again, the trees overhead were gone, and in their place were... Blinking rapidly, Benjamin opened and closed his eyes, attempting to make clear just what he was gazing upon. He was no longer outside -- had someone taken him indoors for m.edical treatment? Had they won? -- and feeling nauseous, he rolled over onto his knees, dizzy and swaying as he attempted to rise.

Toppling into the door on his left, he quickly tried jerking it open -- why wouldn't it budge? -- before someone spoke behind him. Crying out, Benjamin fumbled for his firelock, only to quickly stand down once he realized it was a woman. A very odd, very inappropriately dressed woman.

"Your petticoats," he choked, still feeling a touch ill. "I can see your...I-I see..." your figure.

The dizziness increased tenfold, and then the woman was muttering a bunch of nonsense. Tongue dry and sticking to the roof of his mouth, he accused, "Madam, by keeping me here, you are enacting a form of treason. If you release me now, I'm certain His Excellency will be willing to disregard your oversight."

Surely, she would be spared due to female ignorance?

Unfortunately, the woman seemed in no hurry to cooperate. “Now I have to ask," she treaded, "who are you?”

Benjamin bristled. "You i.mprison me in your strange home against my will, and yet you have the gall to demand answers?" Straightening, he reminded her, "I could very much ask you the same question, madam."

Patience, he tried to calm himself. No enemies were ever won over by bitterness and vitriol.

With this reminder as his primary incentive, he exhaled through his nose, then offered a stilted bow. "Major B.enjamin T.allmadge of the Second C.ontinental Light D.ragoons. At your service." Whether he wished it or not.

Hello, in answer to you wanting to know more about the chappelle/mulaney issue and the relation to JM's addiction:

I'll try not to be too long (I failed) because I think it's ridiculous how much overreaction and lack of nuance/grace there is around JM. I'll tackle the whole timeline from before the intervention and also regarding the divorce and kid(s), because I think people wouldn't have been half as crazy if that hadn't also happened and it needs to be addressed.

So leading up to December 2020: AMT removed the mulaney name and his pics from her social media months before. His interviews started hinting that he was living on his own, and that he wasn't doing well (he started talking of death and his own funeral). It'll come out that both he and she were dealing with their own mental struggles. December 2020, she was not at his intervention. He stays in rehab for two months, so until mid-late February. He went to live in jimmy Kimmel's guest house. Olivia munn, who'd openly shown interest for him for years, happens to be near for work. they hook up, make a baby that is born late November. the divorce happens, and AMT seems surprised ("heartbroken"), she most likely thought it'd take longer or that he'd go back to her. JM and OM aren't dating, but decide to coparent: John was happy about the baby and absolutely wanted to be involved. they start dating a few months later. the official public news come quickly, and seem rushed, when in truth all these things hint at years of difficulties.

Bottom line: JM had been in and out of rehab and was freshly recovering when DC happened.

On the kid(s) and JM's and OM's relationship: people conveniently forget that JM said "I don't know NEVER, people CHANGE" regarding having children. When faced with an unplanned baby, he was happy and wanted to coparent. He later dated and married the baby's mother and they had another planned kid. Between the two kids OM battled breast cancer, had an hysterectomy and thus they got help from a surrogate, so yeah the second baby was very much planned and he very much likes having and caring for his kids. Meanwhile AMT said she froze her eggs due to society's pressure and wrote in her memoir that she did not want kids.

Bottom line: people freaked out because they forgot someone can change their mind about kids after getting sober and separated and stepping up when the baby comes anyway, they ignore all of the opinions of the ex they want to champion, and JM was touring with his kid and facing intense backlash because of this when DC happened.

Finally, on to the Dave Chappelle incident: freshly recovering addict, going through a divorce, new dad, on the road, putting together a new hour of material. He already had not one but two openers. The thing is that often, comedians drop in and add themselves as openers. I don't know how much agency the actual headliner has over this, if the venue has more say, if in the case they're both contracted with a same agency matters (like netflix). But considering the historical delicate moment for JM, and the fact DC is considered one of the best comedians, it must've been a tricky situation IF JM was even aware of the drama around DC. There is also to consider that the problematic jokes were, according to accounts from people in the audience, only a few of the entire set, and met with awkwardness. People cheered at the end for the other normal jokes. In those days DC had also been physically attacked (unrelated to transphobia), and JM offered sympathy for that. If he'd turned DC away, he probably would have suffered repercussions in the industry especially while being shaky after rehab. He's well respected by peers, but DC is still more famous and with more decades of brilliant work and they share a big network. JM couldn't afford the consequences of snubbing DC back then and not even now, actually.

All in all, 1: he didn't invite him, 2: he couldn't turn him away, 3: it's not his fault he couldn't "warn" the audience and he had no control over what DC would say.

JM has never ever talked badly about the queer community. On the contrary, he has openly expressed support through his jokes (concrete example: joined jokes in defense of trans kids with Nick Kroll at 2017 independent spirit awards monologue), and worked alongside queer creatives (concrete example: had Mae Martin on Everybody's in LA), openly stated he disapproves of punching down on people already suffering (can't find the interview sorry) and overall never made a fuss about the queer community or cancel culture. The only actual mention of "canceling" was in Baby J, regarding his addiction, and in the context that he can and has done way worse to himself: "What, you want to cancel JM? I'll KILL him. I almost did."

He did not "betray the queer fans that made him famous": for starters, he got famous because he's got the chops and the talent and did the open mic work and has a very particular and effective approach to comedy, I'm begging people to stop saying that because it's ridiculous and gets you made fun of. Since rehab and DC he's got even more famous. Got a few Emmys, hosted the Governor Awards, presented at the Oscars, turned down hosting them this year because he's too busy, Netflix gave him several blank checks. SNL has been celebrating the 50th season, and JM not only has hosted for the sixth time, but was part of the Feb 16th anniversary special during the opening monologue with Steve Martin and Martin Short, and managed to be given ten minutes to do one of his recurring musical sketches. He dressed Adam Driver as a hot dog and y'all are missing out.

In conclusion: JM is not who you should be mad about. He's not DC that has some weird senile feud with trans people even his fans are sick of, and he's certainly no JKR. JM has spoken and acted in support of the queer community more than once, yet it seems this one involuntary incident holds more weight in the indignation machine of the internet.

My sources: their social media, their subreddits where different people's accounts coincide/are very similar, talk show and written interviews (most notably this one, sorry it's behind paywall, I'd read it as my one free article of the month), AMT's memoir, JM's specials with a grain of salt.

It's a pity that Tumblr still freaks out about JM. Everybody's in LA is exactly the kind of whacky surreal entertainment it would love and Baby J is extremely quotable. You should all go watch the Hot Ones interview too.

Some of the other context for the Dave Chappelle question, sure, I get why the 'Mulaney was already on thin ice, Chappelle may have just shown up without warning, rejecting him may not have been an option' is relevant, but like... this is a dissertation on tumblr's hate for Mulaney.

omg i've been wanting to answer a question like this for such a long time, thank you so much for asking! (you can always ask me about anything <3)

it's hard to talk about why i love these without giving a few spoilers, so i hope you don't mind that.

1. Jujutsu Kaisen & Sukuita

I first got into JJK because of Sukuna edits, but I started reading it more seriously when I fell in love with Yuuji (one of the best protagonists ever!) and got really invested in more of the other characters (Nobara, Mai and Maki, Nanami, Shoko, Yuki, Hiromi, and Uraume being my favorites <3) as the story went on.

Although I'm generally not interested in a lot of action manga, I fell hard for JJK because there were just so many good things about it. An anime protagonist that actually cares about saving other people but is still kind of unhinged and comparatively weaker than a lot of his peers? Bodily possession and an ancient god of chaos obsessed with the unworthy brat he's trapped inside of?? Scary monsters and scarier humans who fight them off???

But if I'm being really honest, my main reason for loving JJK is almost completely Sukuita.

These two are my #1 otp and I'm rabidly obsessed with them (almost as much as they're obsessed with each other). I could go on forever about why I adore this ship, but to keep it simple, it's really because they're one of the most dynamic and overlooked protagonist/antagonist relationships I've ever seen.

As a ship, they really have it all: enemies to lovers, hero x villain, bound by fate, bodily possession, virtually soulmates, matching each other's freak, yin and yang, toxic divorced couple/possessive exes energy, incest (if you're into that), and even opposites attract.

I see them as an inseparable matched set that share basically the same soul and see through each other but they'll never fully understand or accept each other, and it's beautifully heartbreaking in every way.

I first started shipping them when I read a lot of different ship fics with Sukuna, but the only one I ever really got invested in was Sukuita. My favorite ship trope of all is enemies to lovers, so I couldn't really resist them, and overtime I just fell deeper and deeper. Now I personally can't ship them with anyone but each other, but there are still so many more amazing ships to be found in this fandom, though a lot of my JJK otps (Nobamai, Makimai, Nanahito, and Gojoken) aren't very popular.

2. BNHA & Togachako

I'm not going to lie... I'm really not very invested in BNHA as a series, but I'm totally devoted to some of the characters, mainly Himiko Toga. I love kawaii yandere villains so much, and Toga is my favorite autistic bi disaster girl. I also love Dabi (one of my very first anime crushes), Ochaco, Bakugo, Deku, Shoto, Mirko, Eri, Overhaul, Mina Ashido, Kuin Hachisuka, Beros, and Twice.

Some of the quirks are really cool so I always love when they explore the different kinds both heroes and villains can have, and I love all the amazing fight scenes where heroes and villains get to go all out using their quirks, but my #1 reason for watching BNHA is for these two.

My top otp in BNHA is Togachako, of course, because I adore doomed yuri, especially the hero x villain kind, and I will never stop crying over how these two deserved so much better.

I shipped them almost as soon as they first interacted. The chemistry between them was beautiful and I love how Toga went all out with her yandere-style flirting with Ochaco, saying she had the same scent as her, that she wanted to be like her, from the very start understanding so much of Ochaco's character, her need to be heroic and save as many lives as she could, like Deku wanted to. Toga sees a lot of similarities between Ochaco and herself, and I love a villain that obsessively connects to the hero they're always at odds with.

I especially went crazy during that scene from season 6 where Toga had Ochaco pinned down and started crying out "What are you going to do to me? Are you going to kill me, too?" There was so much feeling and pain inside of that scene, Toga coming to terms with how heroes kill villains (like they did to Twice) even though they're human too, and knowing she could be next.

Yet later on we see how Ochaco accepted Toga despite all the things Toga had done. Because she understands that Toga is more than just another monster. All her childhood, Toga had been forced to suppress her own nature, but there Ochaco is... loving her not even despite it, but because she finds Toga herself, as the person she is, the cutest girl in the world. Just what Toga always wanted to be to someone, loved for her real self.

That just... really got to me.

My second main BNHA ship is Toyasho, or Dabisho.

They hit all the good tropes: hero x villain, twisted family, reconnecting, and lots and lots of angst. It fascinated me how they went on two different paths after experiencing abuse from their father: Dabi craving vengeance and resenting the world around him while Shoto largely isolated himself from others and tried to be indifferent about things. Dabi indulged in being ruthless, depraved, and even sadistic while Shoto tried to be "frozen" both inside and outside, yet he was learning to slowly open up to others and have hope for forgiveness.

They share a lot in common - being arrogant, getting overly emotional, wanting to do things alone, their way. But overall they have two different perspectives and Shoto considers Dabi to be his "cross to bear" since Dabi is his brother.

They still try to reconnect with each other in their own ways, especially at the end, where Dabi does regret a lot of what he did to Shoto and Shoto forgives him by asking what his favorite food is.

Togachako and Dabisho are my main otps for this fandom, but I also really like Shigadeku, Bakudeku, Meilissa, Saimomo, Togatsuyu, Momokendo, and Miruhawks because they have amazing chemistry as well!

3. The Locked Tomb & Griddlehark + Harryanthe

I first read Gideon the Ninth about a year ago and fell in love with it. The series reminds me of those weird sci-fi fantasy paperbacks that I would find packing the shelves of thrift stores and old book stores, but even better because of all the toxic lesbian angst and unhinged necromantic freaks who are the most unreliable narrators.

I like the writing style, the worldbuilding, the scientific feel to all the different necromantic theorems, the House politics, the beautifully complex characters, and the strange humor.

I love Griddlehark for all the angst, the enemies to lovers, the sad "you're the only friend I ever had so don't forget me, I'll even sacrifice my own life for you" from Gideon's side and the desperate "don't leave me, I'll erase all my memories of you because I can't bear to let you die" from Harrow's side. When we're first introduced to Harrow, from Gideon's POV, we think she's a heartless monster only concerned with herself. But soon we learn Harrow is weighed down heavily by her burden to handle all Ninth House affairs largely on her own and also by the nature of her very birth. Harrow has a deeply romantic and tragic side that Gideon is the first to discover, proving all her previous assumptions about Harrow wrong, and Gideon also proves herself to be more loyal, dedicated, and caring than Harrow thought she was. And even though they started out hating each other, they become each other's first true friends and can never let go of each other.

I also adore Ianthe's (mostly) one-sided obsession with Harrow, the way she acts like she just wants to manipulate Harrow and break her heart but unintentionally caught feelings for her along the way. They can't stand each other but they're forced to rely on one another and it's perfect, especially when Harrow (reluctantly) starts to feel somewhat close to Ianthe overtime. They're opposites in many ways, but they are both driven by their overwhelming sense of ambition and by their deep love/obsession for the people closest to their hearts (Harrow for Gideon and Ianthe for Coronabeth).

Harrow is my favorite, and I love her dynamic with both Gideon and Ianthe, so I can't choose between either ship. They're my ot3 really, since I also enjoy Gideon/Kiriona's interactions with Ianthe and how they sort of warm up to each other because of how they first "connect" over Harrow.

I have a lot more ships in this series too, namely Alectostasia, Pyrrha x Wake, Jarpedon, Augustine/Mercymorn/God, John x Alecto, Halecto, Corona x Judith, and Corona x Ianthe.

4 . The Summer Hikaru Died & Yoshikaru

I am a BIG fan of eldritch monsters developing codependent and destructive relationships with the mortals they become fascinated by, and this manga delivered that amazingly.

I've been following this story obsessively for about a few months but it's quickly becoming one of my most favorite manga ever. The dynamic between "Hikaru" and Yoshiki is perfect — the way Yoshiki can't really reject "Hikaru" because he craves the closeness he used to have with his friend but overtime he starts caring deeply for whatever "Hikaru" actually is.... Everything about them is so beautiful and tragic, it hurts physically but I love it.

The art is gorgeous and fits wonderfully with the summery horror atmosphere, and I like that's it set in the rural country, since I don't see as much of that in manga or anime as I would like to.

It has some elements of mystery, some of horror, lots of the paranormal, and plenty of chemistry between the mcs, all of which makes it so interesting and unique.

Yoshikaru is my main otp but I also love Asako/Yuuki, because they're so cute together.

5. Alien Stage & Mizisua

This series ruins me. The music, the story, the emotion. All of it makes me feel way too much.

The character designs for the humans are so good but I particularly like the aliens because I want to know more about their cultures and how they ended up imprisoning humanity.

One of the most central themes of this story is longing: the longing for freedom, the longing for love and friendship, the longing for something to put all your faith in even during the darkest times. And for Mizi and Sua, they put all that longing, that faith and hope, into each other.

Despite the fact that they know only one of them can survive that first round, they still sing almost every verse together because they refuse to give the other one the edge. They want each other to survive, even if it comes at the loss of their own life, but they were also hopeful that both of them could have tied. But Sua understood that this was unlikely and she chose to sacrifice herself to keep Mizi alive.

During the song Mizi narrates how humanity has forgotten gods and religion, but Mizi still believes in something that transcends all her suffering and longing, and that is Sua — her god, her universe. Even in the final moments of their round, as their fates are being sealed, Mizi looks over to Sua and smiles at her, because despite everything she's still happy to be with Sua, to sing with her and not against her, to find comfort even at the end. But she's still shocked and horrified when Sua dies, especially because of the fact Sua died to protect her.

And Mizi was never able to get over Sua's death. It's why she lost composure during her round with Luka, who relentlessly used her undying feelings for Sua against her by singing far too romantically.

Mizisua is my main otp in this fandom but I also love Ivantill, Hyuluka, and Hyunamizi.

6. Kakegurui & Yumedari

Even though it's arguably not as intelligent or coherent in its matches as I first thought it would be, I love pretty much everything else about this series, both the live action and the anime. The craziness, the color schemes, the focus on exaggerated body movements, even how thrilling the gambling scenes can be. Not to mention so many amazing characters and shipping possibilities, and my personal favorite ship of this series is Yumeko and Midari.

They get a lot of hate for being a toxic ship, which they are, but what exactly in Kakegurui is safe or sane in any way?? These two have such an interesting and compelling dynamic and from the start Midari is impressed and obsessed with Yumeko. And despite Yumeko's intolerance for Midari, they have a lot in common.

They're both compulsive gamblers who don't care about winning money or social status when they play. They're both addicted to the thrill, really skilled, impulsive, and quite smart too.

What made me start shipping them was, of course, their match during episode 7. The way Yumeko so expertly predicts Midari's moves to prevent an outcome where either of them are actually shot, how Midari comes to understand more of who Yumeko is through their game, the fact that Yumeko knew that Midari wanted her to win and was angry enough about it to deny the other girl that outcome. Yumeko despises cheating to "win" instead of fully indulging in the thrill of the uncertainty, which is what she lives for, and if Midari had maybe not resorted to cheating, I think Yumeko would have more respect and even enjoyment for playing with Midari.

What also really interests me is how polar Yumeko's actions are with Midari. She screams that she hates Midari, she finds her pathetic, she can't stand to be around her. Yet she has this almost soft moment with Midari before they begin playing, if only to keep the other girl from harming Ryota.

Yumeko also grows more tolerant of Midari as the show goes on, but it's by no means warm or loving in any way. And I think that's what I like about them. They're so alike but will never fully "fit together" because of it. It will always end up with either Midari wanting Yumeko to be the one to cause her pain or death, while Yumeko hates any kind of predictable outcome or rigging of the game.

I also have a lot of other ships in this fandom, mainly Yumary, Kirisaya, Meariri, Ayadari, Riridari, Naodari, Ririsaya, and Yumemika.

7. Monster & Tenjoh

I don't even know where to start on this one, really.

I've known about the existence of this series for a while and even tried to start it, but all I could could get into initially was edits of Johan Liebert. I kept meaning to pick it up eventually, since I'd heard that it was one of the most popular seinen manga and that Johan was also one of the best manga/anime villains.

But only recently I have I started watching this series, and I don't know why I didn't sooner.

I cannot describe everything I love about this series without writing a whole other post, but to put it simply - it's extremely well-done and very thought-provoking. And as someone deeply interested in psychology and criminology, I found this to be a brilliant exploration of both. The characters are so well-developed, especially the twins and Tenma (who is honestly one of the most underrated protagonists I have seen) and though I was first off-put by the older animation style, I have actually come to like it a lot since it's very unique and suits the setting and atmosphere perfectly.

There are so many different layers and themes that I will never tire of trying to analyze them all, and there's especially a certain thrill to watching how all the pieces of the puzzle connect together, especially when we get an understanding of how Johan perfectly manipulates others so that they essentially follow the designs of their own downfall.

But one of the very few people to resist Johan's plots and to even come close to destroying him is Tenma.

Tenjoh is so fascinating, both as a ship and only as their canon interaction, because of how deeply personal and complex their relationship is.

Tenma saved Johan's life years ago, a choice that essentially ended his career for him and led to his life being significantly altered. When Johan returns, revealing himself to be the person responsible for so many deaths, Tenma feels guilty for "creating" the monster that Johan became. However, even though Johan kills everyone who knows about him, he spares Tenma as both a sign of respect for the doctor saving his life and because he wants to drive Tenma to kill him, therefore proving Tenma's ideals that every life has value wrong.

Not only is there something darkly poetic in Johan wanting the doctor who brought him back from the brink of death to be the one to kill him, it's also just as suiting that Tenma at first wants to be the one to kill Johan, feeling it was his burden to end the monster he'd "revived." But despite many opportunities given to him, even by Johan himself, to kill the evil mastermind, Tenma still couldn't do it.

I have so many thoughts on them and would love to write a meta about it someday, but all I can really say for now is they're quickly becoming one of my top ships ever.

The fat-shaming of female characters by some Drarry fans has gone way too far. Molly Weasley, lost two brothers in the first war, raised seven incredible kids (plus welcomed two more during the holidays), and took down one of the most dangerous witches in the series. So what if she’s described as plump? That never stopped her from being a strong, capable woman and an amazing mother.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with Ginny inheriting her mom’s build and having a few extra curves. I’m so tired of m/m shippers who feel the need to tear down female characters just because of how they look. If we’re going to talk physical appearances, let’s be real Draco Malfoy is never described as conventionally attractive, while Ginny Weasley is consistently portrayed as beautiful. She could gain 50 pounds and she still would be hotter.

Yeah it goes too far. All the negative commentary towards the Weasleys in the books comes from literal Death Eaters but some people have taken that at face value

Molly is so so impressive. She had 7 kids and yeah she stays at home but she has so much impressive magic. Most of the skills we see are domestic but that doesn't dismiss it. She also is largely responsible for keeping that house to stay up

she kills Bellatrix! A powerful witch that regularly duels. Yeah Molly is mad but you also need skill and power to even stand a chance. She is a BAMF

Yeah she's plump and perfect! She has a husband who is still crazy about her. She is powerful and she is kind.

There is literally nothing wrong with Ginny being built like her mum. In the books she is described as petite and she is very athletic at that point so I read her as quite thin then but I think it's perfectly possible that after quidditch retirement she gets plumper, especially after kids.

There is so much to unpack with the judgement. Do ugly people not deserve love? Why is fatness equated to being unattractive? Why do they need to pull down others to uplift their own ships?

Ginny is said to be attractive, with a long mane of red hair and bright brown eyes and pleasant to be around. she'll be attractive all her life and I know for a fact Harry will be admiring and worshipping her for the rest of his life

AND ever since my appointment with the new medication guy (psychiatric NP?) I don't even know what my problem is mentally. He said that based on my intake forms & initial appointment, he thinks I was unnecessarily medicated with heavy duty antipsychotics for my teen years. He says he isn't even sure of my diagnosis of bipolar 1 anymore because I have other symptoms that don't "fit". He wants me to get labs and wait a month to see him again, and he's not even talking about doing an evaluation yet?? Neither him nor my therapist can decide on what they think is wrong with me, other than the fact that they think I was drugged way too much at way too young of an age. So now I'm barely being medicated, don't have a diagnosis anymore, and am left to wonder what is fucking wrong with me. Maybe I don't even have anything clinically diagnosable!!! Maybe I'm just a bad person who is incompetent in every social, academic, occupational, and emotional area of life!!!! Just like my dad!!! And my mom!!!!

{Hello hello there friend! Come, take a seat. Xixi is going to give her story time! This is going to be a long one so I'll be placing the recap under a read more here.

So for those unaware of what's going on, things started to get..uh..interesting when a Big G (God) account (hxly-fxther) came around. They had made a post that basically challenged everyone to have one(1) chance to land a hit on them.

When most people attacked him, he would rate their hits. Unfortunately for Lilith, when she made her hit, she wasn't rated at all. But..she was given some information that startled her. She wasn't exactly happen to learn the info he had for her. I'll place the ask and the reply down below. There's going to be more than one image because, well, Lilith is dramatic. So the screen shot takes more than one pic.

Sadly, that was the end of that thread. There was one more thread that sort of..sparked things to get chaotic.

Reacting to that thread, Lilith did something that she normally never does - physically letting her anger out on furniture. She had a brief encounter with God, as he had mocked her rage and offered her wine to relax; but she basically told him to pound salt and declined his wine.

She didn't calm down until she was approached by Adam ( @dick-meister ) to figure out why she was having such a rage fit. It was then she broke the news of what their true purpose was to him.

He seemed to take the news better than her, but it opened a bridge for them to make amends for the eons of bad blood between them. They would try to be friends, maybe more, if time and their egos allowed.

Lilith later informed Lucifer ( @hells-greatestdad) of the news as well. She was a little more emotional with breaking the news to him, as their true purpose affected their daily lives. Thankfully Lucifer was an understanding partner and told Lilith that loved her, be it a part of God's plan or not.

Now, while all this was happening, God was still taking shots from various characters. Adam (@/dick-meister) tried hitting him twice. His first "hit" was more or less a light tap to God's face. Not gonna lie, my Rosie poked fun at him for that. His second attempt had him taken to Purgatory, where he spent a day (But an hour in Purgatory time) in, fighting off the creatures that live there. Lilith still had questions for God about what he told her, so she made her way to visit him. However, what she encountered both shocked and angered her. The screen shots below will explain why.

I have a personal hc that Lilith took a picture of God's planning board before she said anything to him in the situation below. She knew that many wouldn't believe her word alone, so she does have solid proof of what she saw.

That was more or less the end of that thread. It was shortly after this thread that the God account deactivated. So we had a little problem. Adam was stuck in Purgatory.

If it wasn't for Lucifer ( @/hells-greatestdad ) getting him out of there, he would still be in Purgatory. Upon hearing that he was back, Lilith went to visit him and yes, Lucifer knew. He approved of her outfit before heading out and she promised to be back before dawn.

Waiting in Adam's room with her snake familiar, Penelope, she spoke to Adam in the privacy of his room. She told him God's plans for Heaven and Hell. As she went into detail, she started to crack a bit, panic showing for the future. Adam managed to calm Even though the plan itself sounded outlandish, Lilith was glad that he believed her. Adam agreed that he would try to talk to Sera to see if a meeting between Heaven and Hell could happen. They then exchanged numbers and she sent him the picture she took of God's planning board. Their conversation ended there, but she did sing Adam to sleep, creating lyrics on the spot to help ease his mind from the constant battles he was involved in when he was in Purgatory.

Lilith later returned to Lucifer as she promised. She didn't have the heart to tell him God's plan when he was half awake in her arms. So she just softly sang the first song she performed when she first met Lucifer to help him go back to sleep.

It wasn't until the next day that she told him everything she told Adam. He was, as one would imagine, disturbed by the information, but he agreed with her that they needed to do something about the situation. They are debating on whether or not to tell Charlie. At the moment, they are leaning towards telling her, as this war will affect all souls on either side of the afterlife. It wouldn't make sense if she redeemed souls that would be attacked anyway in Heaven. (This is a planned rp that will be happening soon with the Lucifer mentioned, Charlie ( @hellsdisneyprincess ) and myself. So be on the look out for that if you want to see the tea for that aspect of the plot.) After having that conversation, Lilith figures that she needs to have a conversation with her Overlords and confront those she has a contract with. The first she spoke with was Alastor ( @radioiaci ) He has agreed to come when called when there is a meeting. Though he gave her the answer she was hoping for, she knew he didn't trust him. There was also the possibility of him being controlled by another through the puppet marking she had placed on him during Rosie's Blood Rose Ball as a way of controlling his physical actions. She was hoping to use it as a way to keep him obedient; but with her control over him placed in jeopardy, she has decided to release him of that particular constraint. She is currently testing Alastor, seeing if he can get a hit on her - extending the challenge that God offered everyone else. Lilith wants to see whether he is ready to fight against rejected creations of God. It will give her an idea as to how strong he is and his battle tactics to hit a moving target. She's not going to make it easy for him, which she knows will frustrate him, but is a necessary evil - though she would admit that making him frustrated is a bit amusing. Still concerned about what is to come, Lilith created a collar for Adam. Designed for his particular taste (image will be posted on his relationship post later today), she made it so that he was protected against demonic and elemental magic. To prove a point, she had him step into a garden while he wore it, casting lightning and an orb of anti matter mixed with dark magic at him. A protective shield went around him and a 5 foot crater was left all around him.

To her surprise, he also had a gift for her. (Image will be posted later today)

A ring that will allow Lilith to transverse between Heaven and Hell without being detected. She quite proudly wears it on her right hand, as her left is reserved only for her ring with Lucifer.

Though the God blog is deactivated, Lucifer and Lilith have been both been given a message by God via anon.

Lucifer was told that he is doing well, playing his part - to which greatly upset him. Lilith and Adam comforted him, knowing how much his presence alone rattled Lucifer. With it being Lucililith Week, Lucifer and Lilith were going to take the week to celebrate their marriage and reign over Hell. Taking a week to basically relax and take time for themselves before diving into the headache that was the war God had planned for them. Unfortunately, that pleasant idea flew out the window when Lilith was visited. You can see that interaction HERE! Both Adam and Lucifer are doing their best to help calm Lilith down because hoo boy..this woman is NOT happy. So yeah. . .That's the story so far!

It's a lot..but I am still looking for others to be involved! Like, I do want to involve other Overlords and any nobles who want to get in on the plot. Lilith can use all the support she can get here.

While he was walking down the streets, Ling overheard that Edward had gotten into some kind of trouble. He knew that Ed could take care of himself, but from what he heard there was more than one person there, and Ling didn't want to take any chances. He went straight for where passersby directed him.

Because he expected to hear commotion on his way, Ling knew that he was already too late. He just prayed that Edward was the one left standing and it was his attackers who were beaten. Of course he was proven wrong the moment he arrived. His heart nearly stopped when he surveyed the area. It was a mess. Ed's automail was shattered, he was bleeding profusely, his breathing was off. Ed barely looked like himself.

"Ed!" Ling rushed to his side and dropped to his knees, lifting Ed gently onto his lap. "Ed? Edward, stay with me!"

The sensation of Ed dying on him made Ling feel ill. He couldn't let his friend die here, not like this. As carefully as possible, he lifted Ed in his arms and stood. "Hold on, Ed. Please, just hold on for me."

He cared not that blood was getting all over him as he rushed away from the scene. He went straight for the nearest hospital, ignoring and shouldering past anyone in his way. He was out of breath by the time he got inside, and he tried to ignore the fact Ed's breathing seemed to get even slower. He looked around the lobby at the shocked onlookers. Why were the fools just staring?!

"I need a doctor! I need a doctor immediately!" Ling shouted, looking around desperately. "Please! My friend doesn't have much time left- he's lost a lot blood! Get me a doctor!"

“I’ve always self-isolated in the past, so it’s fine.  I’ll keep to my room and try to stay out of your space until this is over,” Kaveh replied, trying to force away any discomfort his body was preparing to put him through for the next several days.

“I’ll stock up on water and snacks as much as I can now so I don’t need to bother you later,” he continued as he stepped into the kitchen to procure as many food and water supplies as he could carry to keep in his room.

Carmine eyes glanced over at the laundry in the bathroom as he passed by, but he redirected his focus.  He could rummage through that later… when Alhaitham wasn’t home.

Kaveh did, however, grab some of the pillows from the divans in the living room aside from the ones that his roommate was using and brought them to his room.  He made a couple more paces through the house to gather a few other things he knew he’d need and then closed his bedroom door.

This wasn't even supposed to happen.  Had he missed taking his suppressants?  Kaveh had always been good about taking them on time.  He glanced at the calendar hanging on his wall, scrutinizing it.  It was packed full of client meetings and other things he had to do–and also kept track of his suppressants schedule.  A curse was hissed behind his closed door.

The blond popped his head out of his room and he looked at Alhaitham.

“I hate to ask this but… if I give you a list of my clients for this week could you tell them I need to postpone our meetings? Please?” he requested, his eyes pleading.

“It’s not a lot of people–just three.  Tell them I’m sick or something, and that I’ll get in touch with them to reschedule,” he explained and then offered, “I’ll make it up to you later.”

Kaveh could buy them dinner or make a favorite dish of Alhaitham’s as a ‘thank you’ once this was over with.

I feel like I have seen a whole lot of billford content that is non-platonic really fucked up and abusive, a lot of romance being hand in hand with the ideas and tones of it being very very bad instead of good, rather than falling into romance = 'must be good, doesn't have bad'

Billford is so popular though that I don't doubt you at all, I think it's good that you've talked about these topics and it's good to take a step back and think critically on this

I think something that also complicates it in fandom is that a significant portion of the fluffy romance pre-betrayal Billford content is made by people who do have the fucked up context in mind and do understand it, but the art they make doesn't necessarily reflect that exactly since in a vacuum pre-betrayal stuff can just have this heavy positive bias in presentation. meanwhile some people are of course not considering the fucked up context and are just thinking about positive romance in and of itself, definitely doing the romance = good and losing nuance, and it can be hard to tell apart what artists are doing what exactly, especially since there's a bunch of artists in both camps. *artists and writers both, I mean, fics aren't excluded from any of this

Playing the role of concerned citizen, invested city council member, was one thing but performing that role to any satsifying degree was quite another. Hirokazu Amuro had not complained when he'd been taken aisde by the cops to give his take on what he'd seen but he'd remained utterly tightlipped about any detail not immediately crucial to the case. His business was entire his own. Of course, this was not a rule that applied both ways; everyone else's business was his as well and this whole thing had more than piqued his curiosity.

He'd been stood by an elevator on the ground floor of the Marionette, lit cigarette in his hand and smoke billowing up toward the high ceiling. There were no rules, of course, to stop him and any passerby who thought to complain would have received the deeply scathing gaze of a man who thought they were -- just as deeply -- stupid for even bothering. Still, with one sharp clap of the hands, a passerby's attention was demanded all the same.

"Dreadful what's happened here, eh? It does make you wonder about the state of security though," said Kaz, coolly, a drag taken from that still lit cigarette. "In a place like this too, to think it could so quickly go the way of that dreadful cinema downtown."

Sad Holiday Thoughts || Yanqing

It's all cheerful and Yanqing is enjoying himself. Friends and family united in a holiday that's not even theirs for most of them. As he looks out over the group, he's suddenly hit by the realisation that one day, they won't be here. One day, he'll be alone.

Jing Yuan is already old and him getting mara-struck is a reoccurring nightmare for Yanqing already.

Mimi is old too and the thought of the lioness not being there one day makes his eyes sting with tears.

Dan Heng, he's not sure how old he is and he will be reborn, but it won't be the same. As for the other Nameless, he isn't even sure if they're human or not, but he doubt they'll live for another 700 years or more, like him. Especially Welt, since he already acts old, reminding him of Jing Yuan sometimes.

Sampo and Ven, they'll die within a century. Guā will live longer, but he's a foxian and will still die before him.

Same goes for Feixiao and Jiaoqiu, even if the latter might be preserved by chilli.

Yanqing's chest seizes and he feels a sudden need to capture it all, them all, in amber. Preserving them forever. Of course he knows that's both wrong and impossible, but the wish is there. And the fear.

Yanqing wants to cherish this moment, but he needs to collect himself first. He can't hide the ache in his chest or the tears in his eyes.

Turning around, he heads to one of the many trees in the garden, leaning against it, forcing himself to breathe slowly.
