Honestly fucking hell it hurts big time to see Vivziepop be on some terf shit. Like, what she says about nonbinery and Transmasc people in general like that isn't some terf shit and then try to hide her shit by having a trans fem character. Wtf.

That's kinda the final fucking straw for me. I've def stop buying merch from her mainly because she's constantly dropping new releases all the time and it's definitely exhausting to keep up with. So beyond watching the new episodes when they drop, I haven't been doing a lot of Vivziepop stuff beyond just looking into criticism and stuff.

Don't get me wrong I still like certain characters, but unfortunately how those characters get utilized it's clear it's more of the idea and certain events that happened that keep me drawn to these character vs like actually shit.

For example, I'm emotionally attached to Via in the same way I'm attached to Marcie from Adventure time, though arguably more so Via. Theyre two demonic daughters and because the day my father figure like the only real father figure I had growing up died the day that Looloo land episode dropped which was also the day that got that book written by Marcie and her dad in the mail and as someone who's parents DID go through a divorce because one cheated, that episode did hit hard for me when literally hours later I got the news. For all I know the episode dropped when he was on his last breath.

However emotionally attachment due to coping with loss of loved one aside I'm not gonna stick around JUST because that's a comfort character I developed an attachment too thanks to a shitty shitty situation in life. I don't tolerant terfs like Vivziepop who don't change as a person and that's not changing for anyone. Because of Hazbins marketing I doubt it's gonna last very long as anything that's marketed THAT badly doesn't last very long. It gets canceled and canned hard.

the whole "not wanting men in their spaces" argument is transmisogynistic and a whole different argument that I could get into. But, I don't have the spoons nor the confidence to engage in a discussion like that at the moment, especially when I know for a fact that other people can do it so much better.

if you really want to have a debate like that, I recommend Contrapoint's videos on the subject! (I recommend her "transtrenders" video, it's very well put together, a good video to think on, and the video's aesthetic is eye candy!)

We've been debating on how to properly tackle this kind of subject without coming off as ignorant, contradictory, or belittling to others. So if our words come off in that way, please reach out to us and let us know.

With the rampant scene of various mental illnesses being painted as malicious (ASPD, NPD, Schizophrenia, etc.), TERF/SWERF ideology being mainstream as well as on the other side of that same coin of "Alpha" males, it has clearly been shown to us what we had speculated for a while.

People don't want to confront their pain, and blame their trauma on anything but the truth.

I'm gonna go more in depth with this so hear me out.

We had (and still have) gone through a multitude of confronting our trauma, processing it, then eventually having to accept it and move on. It's challenging to say the least. But it's necessary. We have a lot of trauma, so we have had to do this song and dance multiple of times. None of us can say it gets any easier each time, but it has always lead us to getting better.

Each time we are confronted with the same question,

"Why did this happen to me?"

Of course sometimes it goes deeper with other questions, but we always circle back to that same one. A lot of people have asked that, honestly it's not new. We also acknowledge the outside factors that lead to moments of abuse or trauma like systematic oppression of various groups, indoctrination of ideologies, generational trauma, as well as lack of different kinds of support and community. Of course those are explanations, not excuses.

So we then go back to that question after learning what we know about the world and it's harmful systems. "Why me?". What we ultimately came up with was

"It just happened because."

It's anticlimactic and frustrating, we acknowledge that, but true. You can point to all the outside influences, you can dissect people's personhood down to their very core, you can label them with whatever would fit best but none of that is going to answer why it happened to you.

And it won't. But that's okay. There wasn't a grand scheme, it's no one culprit, it's not a big master plan, it's simply just happenstance. You were in the wrong place, at the wrong time, and it's awful, but it had nothing to do with you specifically.

It's easy for us to create a big boogyman to blame our problems. It makes it simpler, easier to digest.

For one example this comes in the form of vilifying people with mental disorders. Maybe it's to excuse their parent's or partner's selfish actions, sudden and aggressive bouts of unexplained violence, or simply neglect in every field.

For TERFs and SWERFs, it's anyone one that doesn't prescribe to their definition of 'womanhood'. Maybe it's to excuse the way past partners would twist and violate their romantic and sensual attractions. Maybe they feel hurt and scared in a patriarchal society, constantly watching and judging. Perhaps even just feeling scared and lost in a world they have very, very little control over.

For 'Alpha' males and their ilk it's to men not prescribing to their definition of 'traditional values'. Maybe it's an excuse to direct sadness and anger that has built up for so long towards society's lessers. Maybe it's an excuse to feel powerful and important in a sea of random unimportance.

I cannot say for sure what these people have been through or desire. Even still it's simply, again, explanations and not actual reasons. But it all goes back to pointing the blame at something, anything to make the world less scary.

The truth, the much more scary truth, is that there is no reason. The world is random, and that includes pain. Those people didn't hurt you because of their mental disorders, their gender, their occupation, none of what that person was.

It happened because.

Of course more awful things happen to various minority groups (LGBTQIA+, disabled people, POC, etc.). Even still, that is again an explanation not a reason.

But there is no one singular monolith you can tear down to make the world freer and happier.

It's just the many complicated and absolutely random layers of the universe.

That's okay, and you will be okay. It makes the world more unpredictable, but you'll find your footing. We're sure of it.

Paying someone to do something is not inherently coercing them, especially in situations where the person is actively requesting the money for a service.

No-one is threatening me or forcing me to sell sex when I do so. It is not coercive for someone to pay me for sex when I am asking them to pay me.

I am a sex worker. I've been raped by clients. When you try to claim that all sex work is rape you are acting like there's no difference between when a client forces me or threatens me and when he doesn't. You do not know better than us about whether we are being raped.

The fact that abuse of sex workers is common does not mean all sex work is abuse. Not all sex is rape; not all sex work is rape.

I do not sell my body when I sell sex. What I sell is the service of sex, like selling a dance or a massage or a haircut. My clients do not own my body, nor do they have the right to do whatever they want to it just because they've paid me. Payment is a boundary I set with my clients, and I have every right to do so.

Men cannot buy me. They can pay me for sex, if I decide to take them on as a client.

Acting like all sex work is abuse doesn't help those of us who are abused whilst doing sex work (like me), because it treats the times we are assaulted and the times we consent as the same. If you can't see that there's a difference based on whether I consent, I don't trust you.

It does not matter how many claim they have had positive experiences with sex work, or how much money they've made by "selling sex", it's still abuse and in many cases statutory rape.

If an industry (and it does!) thrives on women being trafficked, raped, abused, hurt and killed than it is not a industry that deserves to exist or even be spoken into existence.

You can't just sell sex without selling your body, and what right do you have to do so? Arguing that you have the right to sell your body is an attempt by males and libfems to hide that the real argument here is that men can buy you.

So a SWERF is a sex worker exlusionary radical feminist, and I would NOT say I am either a radfem or exlusionary of sex workers. (Also, fuck SWERFs and TERFs. If your feminism is exlusionary, it's not real feminism.)

Basically I think that the sw industry is very much based on the exploitation of desperate people. While for some it may be a choice (and I totally support them) for many it isn't and unfortunately we don't really heard much about this. I totally support and defend sex workers as it's their body and therefore their rights, however the people that pay for prostitution are genuinely despicable imo.

Also, the violence faced by people in the industry is actually saddening. It doesn't matter if ur a man, woman or other, the chances of experiencing violence in the industry is sky high along with prevalence of PTSD, C PTSD, EDs.

That's why I would say I am PRO sex worker, they shouldn't be criminalised and looked down upon because of their work and I believe that decriminalisation can give them safer routes so I advocate for it.

However I am against the people who solicit them, I believe fundamentally it's all about the power imbalance, they feel you're obliged to step outside your comfort zone because they paid you. If there were safer routes for doing it (and some are emerging) I would be a lot less concerned about the wellbeing and safety of people on the industry but as far as now it's predominantly unsafe. I just hope safer routes and escape plans (for those that want to leave) are easily accessible so it can be safer for everyone involved.

you are DEFINITELY not a swerf for feeling this way. recognizing the way that the industry is fucked up and exploits their workers is very important. It's actually *more* feminist to recognize that instead of just ignoring it. The thing with swerfs is that they don't support the workers themselves, and it sounds like you're not like that at all. supporting the workers, and their choice to stay or leave is very very feminist. ily anon 🤟
