So this has been on my mind for a bit, but I wonder if most paralive fans (the ones that can vote that is) vote on battles based on what song/group they think sounds the best rather than the contents of the story. It may not explain everything, but it definitely explains SOME things if true (more specifically the 1st gen rtl battles (bc the 2nd gen groups were still very new)).
#i mean obviously the rtl battle layout was fucked from the beginning#and there really should have been a lot more moderation (or something like that) to keep the battles fair for all groups#but i do think that fans have some responsibility in the way that the battles turned out#(controversial opinion?)#idk it's easy for me to say as someone who hasn't voted in anything#(i tried to set up an acc on the website once but deleted it bc the voting system was too complicated for me (i can't use the app either))#and i don't mean that the fans run the battles either i just think that the fault of the wasted storylines is not just on avex and gcrest#paradox live#paralive#thoughts#rambles#kia's posts#kia's thoughts

actually...
looking at a bunch of my old favorite mutuals blogs that have been inactive for years. i miss them, even if i never really talked to any of them. when you're mutuals with a person for so long they become a comforting presence even without talking. you see them every day and read their posts about their thoughts or feelings or about what's going on in their life and so on. and they just become a part of your daily life in such a subtle way.
and then one day they just never post again. without warning. shit sucks. i actually hate it.
#i think about so many old mutuals like every day#just wondering where they've gone and what they're up to and how their lives have turned out#i love them and miss them so much#actually there have been a couple times when old mutuals suddenly become active again after years#but i can't count on that -- most don't#i wish there was some website or app or whatever#that would make it possible to stay in contact indefinitely#like i just imagine something like linktree or whatever#but also something more#just this one central hub with one username and it is just saved forever#and so any person who remembers your name can just look it up and suddenly have access to all these ways to contact you#because i've had my blog deleted a few times and like i gotta slightly change my url every time#so if someone looks up my og blog url they won't be able to find me#and that shit makes me sad#just a slight change in url could mean the difference between staying in contact#whatever#i get like this occasionally#nostalgic and sad because i miss old mutuals#scrolling their long abandoned blogs#idk why i do this to myself lmao#i do it with facebook sometimes too#i haven't posted since like high school#and sometimes i go back and see all my friends' profiles frozen in time#because a lot of their profiles are also inactive for whatever reason#i don't know why this shit makes me so sad#so yeah if you're a mutual -- even we don't talk -- don't ever just randomly delete or become inactive#even if we don't talk you can give me your other socials or whatever#or even an email idc#i just don't want to lose connection with any of you -- when i'm 80 years old i wanna reminisce with y'all#and i wanna throw everyone a feast someday

that was a stressful hour but tickets are secured 👍👍👍
#sale started at 12#at 12:00:19 there were 310 people before me in the queue. less than a 10 minute wait all good#i go to buy my tickets. there was an error. kept trying for 10 minutes. nothing. i have to wait in the queue again#26 minutes later it is my turn again. there are still tickets ! it lets me buy them!#i have to verify my card info by logging in to my bank account#now background info: ive forgotten my bank account password and a couple weeks i tried to change it but it wasnt cooperating for some reason#back to the now:#i try to change my password from the bank app in my phone. it wont let me#i try to change it from the website. i have to put a million verification codes but all good i get a temporary new password#i go to change it. it wont cooperate#i go back to the app. i log in with the temporary password. it lets me change it#now by the time all this has happened it's been definitely more than 10 minutes. i start to panic that I'll have to go back in the queue#thankfully it hadn't kicked me out! i put my bank info and then 2 more verification codes and the tickets are bought!!!#jo says stuff#personal ramblings

today my nephew asked me what an mp3 reader is I finally understand my elders

GUESS WHO FINALLY CONVINCED HIS PARENTS TO LET HIM DELETE A MASSIVELY BATTERY-DRAINING, CONSTANTLY-MALFUNCTIONING PARENTAL CONTROLS VPN THAT HAD BEEN ON HIS PHONE FOR ≥6 YEARS!!!!!
#I am a WHOLE ADULT & it STILL took negotiating with my parents that I'll pursue Life Goals for this basic freedom but this is still a Win#TIL that whenever I told my parents what a dysfunctional battery-drain qustodio is mom assumed I was lying to convince her to get rid of it#or at the very least greatly exaggerating. but nope it was really that shitty (and really easy to work around)#that shit used to delete all apps except factory default EVERY NIGHT & return them to the home screen in the morning completely disorganized#it also blocked any websites or apps my parents hadn't whitelisted and imposed time limits on the ones they had#all this time I've had to use tumblr by turning the vpn off every minute or so when it automatically switches back on. hellish#even now I keep habitually checking if it's on before I hit post to make sure my typing won't just be lost#another perk is that I don't have to worry about my parents seeing every website I go to or search term I search#they can still see all my texts and get notifications when I text a number they haven't approved but who cares lol#I'm free!!!#mossy’s musings
