Constantly worried about mischaracterizing Midvalley & trying to keep in mind what he's like in (manga) canon as I write him
But also he has been subjected to Vash's bullshit for 3 and a half years now (where we are in itnl) & that would be enough to change Anyone
#speculation nation#itnl shit#trying to balance him as he is in canon with the potential changes that being subjected to vash brings#im TRYING to not just make him a total oc with a canon character's face hfkshfkdh#mostly like. playing the thought experiment of what midvalley would be like after years of dealing with vash#and it's kinda come to a point where theyve got an almost-friendship where they vocally hate each other#but kinda actually care about each other. ROUND 4 MATCH 1
Qiu propaganda:
“i love them sooooo much i was completely head over heels for cove but then i found out about qiu lin and ol2 and they took that spot in my brain IMMEDIATELY. that should say enough. also i just really want them to win this time </3”
“They're my beloved :] and also the only OL character not disqualified so I had to hdjdbdj I just wanna see how far they can go now :]”
“Genderfluid ADHD monarch. They enjoy mountain biking and ballet. As a kid, if they're set to Crush, they'll desperately try to find a way to link the MC's favorite color to themselves in an attempt to impress. They're the most popular kid in town and for good reason. Can be sharp as a tack, especially in social situations, but also can be so endearingly stupid.”
“Listen. Listen to me. Here's why Qiu Lin deserves the win (ha)
- They're a trans POC love interest (specifically genderfluid and chinese-american)
- They spend a lot of time in Step 1 (the first part of the game where everyone is a kid) being super nice and trying to accommodate for you
- They specifically try super hard to bring you (and Tamarack) into their already established friendship group
- (It doesn't work out super well initially but they're trying, be nice)
- Qiu's also just. Super sweet when you're set to have a crush on them in Step 1
- Like, their word count almost doubles when they have a crush on your MC
- There's one part of the game where you can bring up your favourite colour
- On a friendship route (or if you're set to neighbours), Qiu will maybe make a short comment about something related to your favourite colour
- On crush? Qiu stretches so far to tie your favourite colour back themself. Your favourite colour is green? That's the colour of their jacket!!! It's black? Like their bike, did they mention their cool bike!!! It's white, [imagine this is in italics] the inside of their house (no, really)!!! [end of imagining this is italics]
- They're also set to have an arc about much they accommodate for others and how they go from over accommodation in Step 1 to no accommodation in Step 2 to finding a balance in Step 3
- Also, like, they do in fact go through gender identity issues. In fact, they spend Step 2 not quite knowing their gender identity fully
Now, vote for Qiu!!!!”
"Genderfluid and uses they/he pronouns.
Their hobbies are mountain biking and ballet.
Most popular kid in town by, like, a mile. And for very good reason.
Immediately devotes themself to making sure their new neighbors (the MC and Tamarack) feel welcome in their new town.
Loooooves teasing their friends.
Is genuinely confused if the MC doesn't immediately consider them friends because. He considered you friends.
Not canonically ADHD (yet. things can change.) but like. The ADHD vibes are strong.
Forgetful and writes stuff down in a notepad to remember it, then proceeds to lose the notes. This happens constantly.
They have a whole arc about going from being overly accommodating and giving too much of themself to others, to closing off and not giving anything, to finding balance and figuring out how to be kind and caring without overexerting themselves.
Also, one of their closest friends is a trans woman. This is relevant simply because I love Renee and had to mention her."
Halsin propaganda:
“I haven't played the game but he's hot, and that's enough for me”
“Big sweet dude who’s a bit of a daddy and a bit horny. He’s also really chill and the potential poly route for this game, which datable games hardly ever do. Also, apparently he might not originally been meant to be a full companion and romance, but then people were so horny for him in Early Access they memed him into the full game like Sans Undertale in Smash? I think that should just say it all for why he should get in.”

@theneutralmime
I don't believe Lucas himself has ever said this because quite simply it isn't true and it doesn't follow with the themes and messages Lucas put into Anakin's story. If you have a specific quote from Lucas you know about where he claims Qui-Gon could've kept Anakin from turning to the dark, feel free to let me know, but as far as I'm aware, he's never said it because it isn't true.
Plenty of OTHER people have said it, for sure, up to and including Dave Filoni. And there's probably a number of reasons for why they believe this.
Filoni seems to see the Jedi VERY critically as people who are elitist and too stuck in their ways to see the "truth", while Qui-Gon is enlightened and understands the "truth" better than anybody else. He thinks that this is the story TPM in telling and because Obi-Wan is a Perfect Jedi of sorts, it means that he can't really connect to or understand Anakin in a meaningful way, he's always going to try to make Anakin something he isn't and impose Jedi rules on him that are outdated and repressive in a way that Qui-Gon never would.
This is all complete and utter bullshit.
For one, Qui-Gon is only partly right. Yes, Anakin is the chosen one of the prophecy, but he DOESN'T have any concrete proof of this and the Council itself is right that Anakin's future is clouded and potentially dangerous. They're also right that Anakin isn't going to adjust well to the Jedi lifestyle which could make things difficult for him if they choose to waive the rules for him, something Qui-Gon is choosing to disregard. The whole point of the Council scenes in TPM is to showcase that they're BOTH RIGHT because Anakin at this point can go either direction in his life: he can fulfill the prophecy and become a hero, or he can turn to darkness and destroy the galaxy. Neither one is entirely right or entirely wrong in this situation because that's just... not the point. Qui-Gon is NOT more enlightened than the Council is in this instance even though he's not wrong about Anakin being a child of prophecy.
For two, even though Anakin would likely never be ENTIRELY comfortable with the Jedi lifestyle, I think it's undeniable that the Jedi teachings WOULD help Anakin with his emotional instability if they'd been able to do so without Palpatine's interference. This wouldn't ever get him to the point where he'd be a good JEDI, but it would get him to the point where he'd be emotionally healthy and balanced enough to recognize that this isn't the path he wants to walk and amicably chooses to leave the Order to pursue a life more suited to his needs and desires.
There's nothing in canon to support the idea that Obi-Wan struggles with training Anakin or that he has no idea what to do with him. The CLOSEST you get to that is Obi-Wan claiming to Luke in ROTJ that he thought he could train Anakin just as well as Yoda and that he was wrong, but this storyline got sort-of changed in the prequels when they swapped Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's positions in the narrative, taking the narrative of Obi-Wan being arrogant to something very different.
For three, and this is the biggest reason that this idea of Qui-Gon being able to save Anakin is complete and utter bullshit, the primary reason Anakin falls is because ANAKIN CHOOSES TO FALL. It's not about having a better teacher, there is NO other teacher Anakin could've had that would've kept him from falling because the entire POINT of the story is that Anakin made that choice all on his own. He DID have a good teacher, he WAS given all of the tools he needed to make a better choice, he just didn't want to use any of them because he's selfish and greedy and inclined towards attachments. Removing Anakin's agency in his own story by claiming Qui-Gon could've saved him destroys the entire POINT of Anakin's story. It HAS to be a choice Anakin makes DESPITE knowing it's the wrong choice to make or every single theme in Star Wars goes right out the window. There's no meaning to Anakin choosing to save Luke and sacrifice himself if it doesn't contrast Anakin choosing to sacrifice EVERYONE ELSE for power earlier. They're both HIS CHOICE and that's so so important. Qui-Gon being able to train him would change NOTHING. Anakin would still make that choice because it's the story Lucas wanted to tell. And this is why I'm like 99% certain that Lucas himself has never once claimed Qui-Gon could've saved Anakin because I KNOW he's said things in interviews where he specifically discusses that it was Anakin's choice because he's selfish and greedy. THAT'S the story Lucas was trying to tell and he'd never say otherwise.
Qui-Gon would not have saved Anakin, Obi-Wan was not a subpar teacher, and Anakin made his own damn choices and always would have regardless of who trained him.
#star wars#anakin skywalker#anakin critical#anakin skywalker critical#qui-gon jinn#obi-wan kenobi#george lucas#dave filoni critical#filoni critical#filoni might CLAIM that lucas's intention was to say that qui-gon could've saved anakin#but that doesn't make it true#and it doesn't sound like something lucas would say to me

Ok man, I'm getting extremely tired of the Elriel's stagnant arguments. So let me debunk them. Forbidden romance! No, for God's sake, it is NOT forbidden. Feyre and Rhysand would support them both if Elain and Azriel truly loved each other. Not like Lucien would try to get in between them anyway. ElAiN dEsErVeS a ChOiCe! Choice implies multiple options! That means Lucien is a choice too! Elain has chosen Azriel for now! That doesn't mean she can't change her mind! Besides, haven't you EVER heard of the reluctant lovers trope? Be creative please. BuT wHaT iF tHe CaUlDrOn WaS wRoNg? Yeah, the Cauldron could be wrong about Eris and Mor, or it could be wrong about the Lady of Autumn and Helion. Why does this one line HAVE to be referring to elriel? SJM often uses lines like these to foreshadow plotlines yes, but she is never THAT obvious about it. Rhysand was being a hypocrite stopping the Azriel kiss! You could argue that he was, sure, but he was also trying to prevent a major political scandal. SJM isn't going to write Rhysand being wrong in any situation, lmao. Love or hate the character, it doesn't matter. That's just the way she has written him. Elain is an introvert! No. She's just traumatized. Nesta, her sister, says it. Lucien is a fake mate! Azriel showed mating behavior? Uhhhh no. Azriel went after MOR in the King of Hybern scene. Lucien went after guess who? Yeah, ELAIN. It was Nesta who realized Elain was gone and began to worry. Azriel only volunteered after Cassian couldn't go because he was wounded and he was the easy option aside from Feyre because he could hide in the shadows. And guess what? He saved Gwyn too! Maybe he just has a savior complex! Lucien is the one who was concerned about Elain's mental and physical health. Azriel seemed pretty chill when she wasn't eating. And he did NOT want to look after Elain. He made fun of Cassian for having to do it. ElAiN hAs TwO mAtEs! SJM is not going to write that. It would fuck everything up. She wants both characters to be happy. Gwyn is a lightsinger? Probably not, but so fucking what if she ends up being one? You think that's gonna deter Mr. Torturer Azriel? If anything that'll only bring them closer. Nice try. BuT luCiEn Is InTo VaSsA! NO. STOP IT. HE WAS CANONICALLY SEEN TO BE LOOKING AT ELAIN WITH LONGING IN ACOSF. DON'T SPREAD LIES. Vassa is definitely more into Jurian, which is a pairing that makes sense. Lucien is a side character. Um...no? Lucien has been around since book 1. He was a very significant character in that book as well. And in books 2 and 3, he might not have had as much screentime, but almost every moment he had was monumental. We see him survive the Night Court. We hear his story of fulfilling Calanmai, implying he is also chosen by the Spring Court. We have him helping Feyre kill off the twins of Hybern, bring back the army with Vassa, balance 3 roles and still dress immaculately, dominate Cassian with one word. He is also connected to almost every potential plotline in existence. Ok, this one isn't Elriel but some people say TaMlAiN! Because of the spring court foreshadowing. Guess who lived in the Spring Court for decades? Lucien! Guess who is the current Spring Court ruler but isn't doing much of ruling? Tamlin! Guess who also was able to do Spring Court Calanmai? Lucien! Wow, it almost looks like Lucien is going to replace Tamlin! SJM is not going to put one sister with another sister's ex anyway, that's weird. Elain has her chosen family in the Night Court in Nuala and Cerridwen! She belongs there! No. Just stop it. SJM could not be more clear with that line about the black dress sucking the life out of her and Elain being bothered by the cruelty in the Hewn City. Guess who is also pretty averse to violence? Oh yeah, Lucien! As for chosen family... Feyre had Tamlin and Lucien. They didn't end up being her chosen family, the IC did. Nesta didn't find her chosen family until her book. Lucien's band of exiles are not his chosen family either. Lucien and Elain are just really good at making friends.

Charlie and Roo Are the Same Person (and why i hate the Roo Mother Theory)
I am not a big fan of Roo being Charlie's real mom theory because many things don't work: first of all, many people said the theory is right because the two has similar design detail like the hand, eyes... In the Hellaverse there are characters with details in common that aren't related but ok (Rosie with Exorcist Angels, Carmilla and Velvette...Cherri Bomb and Vaggie...)
Now, if Roo was Corrupted Eve why Lucifer should make out with a individual who hates him for make her corrupted and out of control, with the Heaven banishing him? There were happening a lot of events in that moment of the story that make impossible to make a deal with Roo to have a child. Why Roo should make a child with Lucifer? The reason of that?
Then, there are no clues about Lucifer caring for Roo/Eve because he cares clearly only about his wife Lilith and that joke he made was just for piss off Adam (he's the Devil after all, he tricks humans)
Another "proof" that Lilith isn't Charlie's biological mom is "In the original story Lilith can't have kids" but Hazbin Hotel changed many characters from their original counterparts (like Adam, Lucifer, Andrealphus, Vassago, Beelzebub ect...) so why not also Lilith? So she can have kids.
Debunked the Charlie = Roo's Daughter i believe in a more possible theory: Roo is Charlie herself.
A thing that i noticed about Charlie is that she is like containing herself: in many scenes she's starting to grow horns because she is losing her patience but then she returns quiet. In Ep. 5 she is on a mental breakdown for a second and change in her demon form. So her form in episode 8 isn't even her full demon form, she's not at her full potential, just balancing her kind side with her aggressive one. So Roo is a Corrupted form of Charlie who, while she's trying to make herself respected, master of the situation lose her sanity and becomes a freaking beast out of control. That explain also the chains symbolism in Roo design: finally she is at her full power and break the boundaries who made her weak, they can also mean Charlie's will to tame her dark side and momentarily loses control of it . It would be an interesting plot point for her starting naive, then try to balancing her menacing part of herself, being out of control of it and trying to dominate it once and for all, learning that you can deal with your negative side and not deleted it forever rather than the boring and senseless "You are the son of the villain!" moment.
I dislike the Roo Mother theory because it doesn't bring anything to the plot and in Charlie's evolution arc: she is the daughter of Roo so? What brings in the show? Nothing.
Also Charlie is getting hate for being a not interesting protagonist so make her Roo (the villain of the whole story) would improve her reputation and make her more complex, also because the Charlie's plot is being more mature, not always diplomacy resolve problems and fighting doesn't mean regardless bad. That explains their similar traits too. Another thing that i noticed is that Charlie's big hand is right, same for Roo, she has a right huge hand.
Another similarity to Roo and Charlie is the color palette and the fire (Roo's hair move like flames, Charlie has the power of fire).
"But Vivziepop respond to the question "Are Lucifer and Lilith Charlie's real parents?" that she can't answer that so Roo is her mother confirmed."
It doesn't mean anything.
That Vivziepop Live is old of years and she could have change the story realizing the plotholes it would have bring so it doesn't count as canon, we need recent informations about that.
That question place also Lucifer as possible adoptive father of Charlie while he's clearly her biological father so it doesn't work.
Like the "Adam not coming back"Interview, she couldn't answer that exactly because it would have mean spoilers for the final project. So talking about Lilith relationship with her family would have spoiled the interest.

If Danny Phantom came out today, what themes and topics do you think the show would tackle?
I think it would be quite a lot like The Ghost and Molly Mcgee and the direction A Glitch in Time is trying to take.
In character i think Danny would be pretty similar, but there would be a lot more emphasis in how he doesn't know to which world he belongs- to the human, ghost or both. There would be more exploration about how he doesn't feel like he fits in, if already had trouble with being unpopular in school, he now feels like a complete freak being a human/ghost hybrid. In some episodes he sides more with humans and in other episodes he sides more with ghosts.
I think there would be themes from the original show like self acceptance, responsibility and learning to rely on others when you need help but we would get to see more of why x character acts this way and the reasons behind it.
One character i believe he would have a quite different take would be Vlad Masters. He would have a lot more development and we would get flashbacks of his relationship with Jack and Maddie before and after the accident. Think of something like King Andrias from Amphibia except with more screentime. Another thing that would be different is his relationship with Danny. I think he would have episodes he has to work together with him and Danny gets to know him better. He would have moments he shows to care about Danny and protects/saves him. He would be less..extreme in some way but he would still be terrible.
I know i like to talk about Danny and Vlad's relationship a lot, but, honestly? If there was a reboot nowadays, their relationship would be one of the most interesting things in the show or one of the main things that drives it.
The series could explore things like dying a leaving things behind with more freedom. Ghosts that didn't take the opportunity to do x thing when they were alive and/ or find themselves stuck in the past. Maybe Danny starts hating ghosts at the start of the show and over time starts to see there are good and bad ghosts, a lot more balanced than is in the original series.
If Dan were to become canon in the series, i think Danny would have a sort of corruption arc that bit by bit you see him taking a darker path and closing off from people that care about him. It would be something gradual until it gets revealed that Dan is what he could become in the future.
That itself is a lot more interesting than just having Dan show up in one episode and barely being used again after that. It adds potential for character conflict and development.
Characters like Sam and Tucker would have their own episodes that develop and change. Maybe we would get to see more of their families and what goals they have outside of helping Danny. They are fun characters but in the series they usually struggle be to be their own people.
Jack and Maddie would be... better handling things than they do in the series. I believe they would pay more attention to Danny coming back late and getting injured. They wouldn't be leave lying ghosthunter machinery around. It's possible the narrative would be a lot more critical of them hating ghosts and talking about dissecting ghosts in front of their kids. Hell, it wouldn't be out of place if Danny had an arc he started to live with someone else until his parents realize their mistakes and Danny feels comfortable enough to go back to them. Here is another thing for interesting potential relationships conflict.
As for final antagonist, it could either be Dan or The Guys in White. However, i would prefer that Vlad stayed as main antagonist for a good part of the show until someone else could take that role.
#danny phantom#danny fenton#vlad plasmius#Dp fan ideas#I think the guys in white would have a bigger important role#Also i believe there would be less ghosts antagonists that there are in the original show#instead of introducing new ones the show would build off from previous ones

Pleas elaborate on that challengers au??? Obsessed rn
So I’m going to properly get to working on this once the next chapter of “Reading TRB” is up and once I can rewatch the movie to develop the ideas more but I’ll just type up some of my brainstorming / thoughts and post it here rn!
— basically a Challengers au where Gansey is Art, Blue is Tashi and Adam is Patrick. Was discussing with a few other people and I think Adam could also potentially be a Tashi but that fits more for a Rodansey au which would also slap if someone wants to write it but I’m going for the Bluedansey version because I was in major brain rot over them over my last reread.
— so the set up of Gansey and Adam meeting in high school is similar just without the other chars as factors (Ronan might still show up in the fic but if he does it’ll be the timeline where they’re older he won’t have known them in high school). With Gansey still the rich golden boy and Adam as the scholarship student and them having an unlikely really close and intense friendship.
— I’ll actually have tennis be something Adam picked up for kind of mercenary reasons he needed an elective + he wanted to spend time with Gansey kind of in the way he goes along with the Glendower quest for Gansey. But then it was noticed that he’s really good at it and Adam would capitalize on that and use it as a way he can get out of Henrietta even if at first he thought that would be through his book smarts. He does also grow to love tennis but isn’t fully cognizant of that the way he struggles to understand love in the series (his relationship with tennis follows a similar path to his relationship to magic in the books basically, arc wise).
— Even though I know it is canon in the books that he’s Captain of the rowing team I have the hardest time jockifying Gansey in my mind because suuuuch a fucking neerd (affectionate) I’ll keep some of his nerdy interests obv but trying to redirect my perception of him overall for this. Taking a bit of inspiration from my friend Kevin Day for this re: balancing the jock-nerd. But I think playing sports professionally to him is partially going to be his escape from being just like his father / living the life his family wants for him, while also being more passably acceptable in the eyes of his family than some other things he could pursue, as well as being something he genuinely loves.
— enter Blue she meets them at a tournament beginning of college like in the movie, she comes from a small town like Adam but will change it to her being from a different state still in the south. I am keeping her background of being raised by the psychics of 300 fox way and Maura will be an active character in the later part of the fic/movie, but for her tennis is her something more in a sense and when she finds that she doesn’t want to give it up. But at same time she’s sensible as much as she has big dreams, so she still wants to go to school and have other skills besides going pro also I think getting into tennis would have in some ways accentuated the bullying/judgement she got from her peers in high school, and then once she proved herself to be good there also would have been elevated respect but I think that effects her whole superiority-inferiority thing, it doesn’t change her general mo with new people and she’s still quite isolated and lonely (more so than in canon since she didn’t meet the Gangsey in hs), but I think a bit more.. actively trying to be seen as socially acceptable with specifically professional situations. I also kind of want a plot point to have to do with how her style changed when she got into tennis and navigating expectations of her style related to her profession, which will be interesting for continuing the pursuit of looking on the outside as you are on the inside theme from the books.
—Oh and even though the 300 fox ladies are still psychics there’s no kiss curse involved so I do think this version of Blue has had a couple boyfriends and a girlfriend, none of them were serious relationships because her priority was tennis and she’s a prickly babe but I do think this could change her relationships with the boys in interesting ways, especially Blue x Adam tbh because so much of how it plays out in canon is influenced by it being both their first relationship…
— I do think that it’ll be better for me and my writing process to write this chronologically rather than bouncing between the timelines the way the movie does, and I’m definitely going to use all three perspectives so we’ll see what feels right at different times but I think I’m going to start with Adam pov, the first switch to Gansey pov will be in the breakfast Tashi-Art scene (which is a super tdt era Bluesey coded scene imo but anyway), Blue’s injury is from her pov and maybe some going back and forth between her and Gansey’s povs for a bit in the middle, then I want to weight the second timeline to mostly Blue pov and some Adam I’ll see if another Gansey pov fits in there or not. But obviously will play it by ear this is just what I’m thinking rn.
— for the relationship dynamics: when it comes to the college years the dynamic structures are already pretty similar imo which is a big part of why I wanted to write it particularly the dynamic circa the Dream thieves of Gansey going back and forth between Blue and Adam’s sides of the relationship drama then getting with Blue when both their relationships with Adam implode is … I don’t actually need to change much there. I do think I’ll tweak the story of Patrick teaching Art how to jerk off so the gist is the same but it fits into the early trc dynamics of Gansey trying to wingman for Adam and give him advice about girls and at one such occasion there was a practice kiss, and then maybe also a practice handjob. Like I said some Art/Tashi scenes like the “he’s not in love with you who wouldn’t be in love with you” scene give Bluesey to me already and there’s a general patheticness (affectionate) to Art/Gansey that’s similar. I do need to think more about how to shift their dynamic for the adult Art/Tashi stuff since that’ll be more challenging I think… and Tashi/Patrick scenes kind of rely on them both being prickly and argumentative in a way that very much fits the energy of Bluedam’s multiple iconique fight scenes I’m especially going to have fun paralleling the Tashi/Patrick car convo (feels like I can get significance out of Gansey being the one associated with his car and inclined to having romantic moments in them) with the Bluedam ninos fight.
So, there are some bullet points I have other thoughts obviously but this is already quite long so if your curious about something else specific feel free to ask (also in general re: that poll am open to questions about my ideas for those aus. or about my in progress fic, or whatever)
#s speaks#i think it’s time I had a tag for:#Bluedansey challengers au#Trc#the raven cycle#blue sargent#adam parrish#richard gansey#Blue x Gansey x Adam#bluesey#adansey#blue x adam#asks#chaosandtwo#mutuals#challengers

Hey you said on march 24 you have an au of trixie and dash becoming celestia and luna and then never elaborated. Can you. Please.
Tagging @sighlentknight since they also asked. Sorry it took ao long, got distracted by dishonored au. Anyway
I'm playing a bit fast and lose with the canon timeline in this au cause let's face it the canon timeline is a mess and i'm just trying to have fun here.
The AU starts with Rainbow and Trixie being sent back in time. How, I don't know, it's not super important, maybe a messed up magical experiment, maybe Discord, maybe a weird phenomenon, anything goes. Point is that they're sent 1400 years back in time, to the Reign of Discord.
After spending a while bickering over who's fault this is (they do a lot of bickering, not gonna mention it every time so just assume they're always bickering), they try to set out and find their way home, weirded out at the chaos wastes they've ended up in. Eventuallu, they run into a group of important figures, either the founders or the pillars of Equestria, the specifics don't matter, but this is how they learn that they've ended up back in time.
Obviously freaking out, they eventually calm down enough to get the lay of the land and explain what's going on to the locals. They figure that finding Celestia and Luna would be the best shot at getting back home but weirdly none of the locals have ever heard of Celly and Lulu. Still, it's the reign of Discord so they gotta be around somewhere, and Rainbow happens to know that they're gonna get the elements of harmony from the Tree of Harmony, so just go there, wait for them, be home in time for dinner, no problem. Trixie is a bit doubtful of her confidence but hey, not like she has a better idea.
What follows is an epic quest as they make their way across the Chaos or Discord's reign with the help of locals, which would take at least another full post to explain so I'm gonna skip most of it. Point is, Rainbow and Trixie get some time to both bond and get really frustrated because finding Everfree is next to impossible when the world is all topsy turvy and directions don't make sense.
They eventually make it though, finding the cave with the Tree untouched by Chaos. Great, just gotta bunker down and wait for Celestia and Luna to show up, what could go wrong?
A lot, as it turns out. When they approach the tree, things happen. Maybe it senses potential in them, maybe its because they're time travelers and thus rather unusual, or maybe it's just cause theyre the first ponies who've made it this far and the Tree is low on options. Either way, the world is wildly out of balance and someone are needed to fix it and these two are as good as any.
In a bright light, Rainbow Dash and Trixie are ascended to alicornhood, their cutie marks changed into something more appropriate for the chosen guardians of Equestria's balance; a sun for Rainbow and a moon for Trixie.
Cue them freaking out for several hours because What The Fuck!?!?!
No time for that though because something like this has not gone unnotices by Discord. In a flash, he appears, curious about the two embodiments of Harmony in front of him. They're young so he could defeat them easily, but where's the fun in that? Instead, he wants to play with them a bit, taking their companions hostage so they'll play along.
This goes about as well as you could expect, Rainbow and Trixie may be confused and freaking out but neither take well to having their friends threatened. They confront Discord and, not really knowing what they're doing, use the Elements on him, ending his reign.
In the aftermath, they find themselves with a lot of ponies bowing to them, both strangers and ponies they met and helped out during their quest. Soon, it is pretty clear that they are being declared rulers of Equestria despite their objections. The people will accept no one else.
At the crowning, they are given regnal names. In a way, they chose them themselves. After all, they had both been quite insistant that Discord would be defeated by alicorn princesses named Celestia and Luna.
Over the years, they grow into their roles. Rainbow Dash's coat and mane is bleached by the sun she has found herself raising every morning, while the opposite happens to Trixie since she spends most of her time at night. Her eyes and magic color also changes as a result of her new magic. They both get into the flow of ruling a nation.
Throughout it, they of course don't give up on returning home, but experiment after experiment amount to nothing.
With time, their relationship also degrades. I mean, not like it's ever been good, I mentioned how they spend most of their time bickering, but with Discord defeated and them acclimating to their new situation, they no longer have more pressing issues distracting them from how much they REALLY don't get along. Trixie and Rainbow are hardly the most compatible of ponies in the best circumstances, and now imagine that but upped by hundreds of years. The only reason it doesn't happen sooner is because stuff like Sombra and Tirek pop up to distract them.
But Nightmare Moon does eventually happen. Afterward, Rainbow slips more and more into the Celestia persona. It's still a mask, something she puts on because she feels she has to, but without Trixie, there aren't a lot of ponies around who see her as anything other than the immortal dignified deity, so she spends more time being Celestia than she spends being Rainbow.
Eventually, the day she has marked on her calendar comes around, and she sees a huge rainbow spread across Equestria. It's fun seeing it from the outside, she so rarely has the chance to do it herself nowadays.
After 1500 years of life, tutoring a filly version of one of her best friends is still the weirdest thing she's been through.
It hurts seeing the mane six get together and be friends. She's happy for them, of course, but seeing her younger self laugh and be happy is a painful reminder that she will never be that pony again, her friends can never really see her as one of them again because even if she's still Rainbow Dash, she's also an immortal god empress and thats a rather big hurdle to overcome in a relationship.
With Trixie back at least, she starts letting the Celestia mask slip. Poor Twilight gets a heart attack first time she hears her mentor call Luna a bitch for taking the last slice of cake. With someone around who actually knows her as Rainbow and not Celestia, she can finally be her authentic self again, the mask becomes less something she wears all the time and more something she just puts on for court and lets slip in private. Those who know her are shocked at the change, but she seems happier than anyone has known her to have been for centuries.
She both dreads and looks forward to the day Twilight visits to tell her that Rainbow and Trixie have vanished. On one hoof, getting to finally drop the mask entirely and reveal who she is will be such a relief. On the other, how do you explain that their friend is both gone forever and standing in front of them?
Meanwhile Trixie has to be held back from having a threeway with her past self and Starlight.

random astrology of ardyn ramble
This is probably not interesting to anyone, but my other hyperfixation is astrology, and I have spent a lot of time thinking about Ardyn's placements.
Okay, I realize Eos is fictional, and that these characters aren't existing in the same solar system as us, which would obviously change everything about their signs and planets. ANYWAY.
Ardyn's birthday is April 30th, which would make him a Taurus sun sign. I think this makes sense, Taureans' can be eccentric, every Taurus sun I know radiates very appealing weirdo vibes, idk why this is, and ALSO if we look at Ardyn's behavior prior to the scourge, he was fairly stubborn, determined to heal everyone (and Taureans, once they start on a path, it is very difficult for them to deviate), despite his relationship with Aera.
I don't THINK we have a canonical birthday for Somnus, but he strikes me more as an Aries (or at least Mars ruled) and a Taurus (as a Venus-ruled sign) is not some warmonger, or making rash decisions to set anyone on fire who even *possibly* has the scourge.
I also like the idea of Ardyn being a Taurus, which is an Earth sign, and trying very hard to cleanse the Earth (or Eos), as it were, of some disease/affliction.
ALSO. If you dive deeper into other astrology placements (for those unfamiliar, we have not only a Sun sign, but a moon sign, a Mercury sign, a Venus sign, etc).
When I first saw Ardyn I was like, bro is a Gemini. He's shady, he's snarky, he more often uses his words (I mean literally like 75% of his dialogue in the game is just him screwing with Noctis mentally while he's in Zegnautus Keep). He resists most physical battles at all opportunities, doesn't want to engage in fighting (though he is obviously the strongest person in all of Eos besides Noctis) and avoids doing so. This to me also speaks to him being a Taurus, stubbornly refusing any kind of fight unless it's the final one, with Noctis (of course, he does fight Ignis in Episode Ignis, but literally during that fight with him in Altissia, if you don't attack him, he WONT attack you. He just saunters around and hordes of Imperials soldiers come down from the Magitek engines to fight you).
ANYWAY. If you are a Taurus sun, Mercury can *only* be in the sign of Aries, Taurus, or Gemini, because Mercury is never more than one sign away from the sun. So I'm saying, Ardyn is a Taurus sun, with a Gemini Mercury (which explains the Gemini nature of his speech patterns). An Aries mercury would be more forceful, impulsive, impatient, but a Gemini is going to give you the snark that we see from Ardyn.
I've also been thinking of this from the standpoint of my fan fiction (Precarious Games) because I have a Reader character, and I decided on their placements before I started it, to determine their essential personality. Reader (in my mind) is a Libra sun, with a Libra mercury, and Scorpio Venus, which would then make her sun Venus-ruled, giving some compatibility with Ardyn's Taurus sun, and then I suspect Ardyn has a Taurus Venus, which would then oppose Reader's Scorpio venus (as Taurus and Scorpio are opposite signs), which explains a lot of their conflicts, but also their attraction (and a scorpio venus is more willing to let a relationship utterly destroy them emotionally, and are even potentially attracted to people who aren't good for them, which gives some explanation for her continuing her relationship with him despite well, everything. and just being a Libra sun/mercury makes them crave partnership and balance, and to ignore conflict)
So yeah. Ardyn, I think, is a Taurus sun, Gemini Mercury, with a Taurus Venus. I don't know what his rising or moon sign would be, I just feel like, with villains, everyone is so quick to be like SCORPIO! So I wanted to give my thoughts. Like I said I realize this is probably interesting to NO ONE lmao but I needed to articulate this somewhere.
I haven't even thought about the Mars sign. Mars (I believe) can be anywhere regardless of where the Sun is, based on it's movement and retrograde period. I think possibly because he is a bit flamboyant, and showy, his Mars makes sense if it was in Leo, which would then square his Sun and Venus (i.e. his motivations, his drive are at odds with his sense of self/identity, and ability to relate to others).
I could also see him being a Leo rising, to give more emphasis on this showmanship vibe he has, and that would place Mars in the 1st house, and Sun/Venus in the 10th in Taurus (which is the area of your life purpose, your public facing self). Also, a lot of planets on the angular houses (1st, 10th) give someone a lot of strength in their personality, they are able to succeed (and let's not discount his success in Gralea, which he achieved not from Bahamut's intervention, but from his will alone, really).
But yeah! Astrology is fun when you apply it to fictional characters, for me it helps me understand their personalities better, especially when writing fan fiction, and it's nice to at least have a canon birthday (day and month at least) to go on.

Hi! About your Favorite Villain post- I love thinking about the possibilities within the vague history we’re presented about the clans and how the hate of their forefathers became Shredders and Splinter’s. And not only that, but how Tang Shen figures into this version of the story.
We don’t know how long the whole love triangle has been going on (though we’re led to assume it’s been years), but we know Tang Shen was with Oroku Saki at some point before leaving him (and when Saki tried to convince her to “take him back”, he tells her he’s changed, so read into that what you will) and that she didn’t fit in as much with all the clan stuff.
I think, depending on how long it had been between the time of her breakup with Saki and getting together with Yoshi/becoming pregnant with Miwa, there could have been a point where Saki might wonder if Miwa could potentially be his daughter instead of Yoshi’s, but I also think his complete willingness to take in Tang Shen and Miwa despite her being Yoshi’s daughter isn’t really OOC considering Shredder’s penchant for taking in strays (Tigerclaw, Xever, Hattori Tatsu, etc) and his own mirrored history of being “adopted”
There’s also the long game thing you mentioned which is so fun to think about. Because that makes him offering to go with Tang Shen to NY a lie. A false offer to get her to leave Yoshi before trapping her in Japan anyway to fulfill his quest to avenge and rebuild the Foot
Though she’s still a fairly passive voice in the story, she actually has wants and opinions that she tells to Yoshi and Saki. Again, she doesn’t have much backstory beyond them, but her character lives in my brainnnnn
Yesss you totally get it!! There's literally so many options, so many ways it could've played out... I can't ever even pick a real "headcanon" bc multiple possibilities are equally intriguing to me 😂
There ARE some interesting implications around the "I'm a different man than the one you once knew" line, aren't there? I of course completely agree that Shen dated Saki prior to Yoshi—THAT at least I do believe is canon, though I see people interpret otherwise—but why did they split up? It's possible it just didn't work out, or she fell for Yoshi and ended it, and Saki is just choosing to believe that it was something he could fix. But... hmmmm.
Like, okay, assuming my interpretation of the timeline is correct, she was ALREADY with Yoshi when he learned of his heritage. And obv we don't know, but I feel like Saki was not hot-tempered prior to that situation. We know that Yoshi WAS, and though I certainly think Saki had a competitive/jealous streak, I imagine him as relatively even-headed. Perhaps he had to be, to balance out Yoshi. He just seems, in Tale of the Yokai and when he's not having a Joker Moment as Shredder, like a quieter guy.
All that to say, I wouldn't think he was aggressive with Shen or anything. But perhaps he was overly jealous/protective, in a way that made Shen feel stifled? Or maybe he was TOO traditional/entrenched in the clan, even moreso than Yoshi, and she couldn't take it? He was pushier than Yoshi in trying to get her involved in clan stuff? I have no idea, but 👀
Oooo, I honestly never even thought about the potential of Saki actually believing Miwa was his! You're so right though, like we have no idea how long it was between her dating Saki and her dating Yoshi, nor how long she was with Yoshi when she got pregnant. Perhaps, even if he didn't actually think Miwa was biologically his, he convinced himself of it anyways. He is kind of known for gaslighting himself with his own lies... XD I do completely agree that, either way, I don't think it's OOC for him to genuinely consider Miwa his own, even if they aren't related at all. Despite his.... complicated feeling around his adoption lmao.
Which, honestly, I hadn't really thought about his penchant for taking in strays, but like, when you put it like that... Idk, it's interesting, isn't it? His bio family all killed, and then HE kills his entire adoptive family... It's not unreasonable that he would try and grasp for others, like trying to fill the empty role that his family would've taken, if that makes sense. Not that he necessarily sees them AS family, but that he has this longing for community.
His offer to Shen being a lie is ALSO a great point that I didn't consider!!! Depending on how open he planned to be with her about what he had done, maybe he thought convincing her to leave Yoshi would make her less likely to mourn Yoshi's death with the rest of the clan. Or maybe he would've been willing to go to NY with her and abandon the new Foot clan once the Hamato were exterminated, because he cared more about getting rid of the Hamato than he actually did the Foot, but it didn't work out. Idk... His intentions are, as always, an enigma (and I love it).
I LOVE all of these thoughts fsdhghkdsghl ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you're right, we don't see much of Shen (tragically) but she DID have real character motivations, and I love that for her. And mourn the fact she didn't get to do much with it. Like, how fucking sad is her story, really? Did she go to college? Have career aspirations? She wanted to go to New York; had she always dreamed of seeing the Met, or seeing a Broadway musical? Did she want to travel? She never even got to see Miwa grow up! She tells him "You must decide. This is no life for Miwa" about the clan, and says "I can take care of myself. I always have." I feel like she was on the verge of leaving Yoshi, maybe not breaking up but setting out to do what SHE wanted to do. And she never got the chance. Her life had barely even started, it's so tragic. God I wish we got more of her.
#ty for the message ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ EXCELLENT thoughts#2012 tang shen#tang shen#tmnt 2012#2012 oroku saki#2012 hamato yoshi#2012 shredder#2012 splinter#my posts#asks

how much of the canon relationships are you planning on changing in shaken roots?
Lots! Many of the romantic pairings will be changed (although I won't confirm yet what the new pairing are since I'd like for everyone to discover that for themselves as they read the story.) But I am also exploring a lot of friendships or other non-romantic relationships more deeply than in canon too.
I could ramble on forever about the relationships I've been most excited about between these cats, but I'll try to limit myself to a few examples :)
(Spoilers below for the first two fics in my The New Prophecy AU Shaken Roots: Midnight and Shaken Roots: Moonrise.)
Mothwing and Hawkfrost's sibling bond is one that I absolutely adore. For the longest time, they have such a deep, co-dependent connection to each other— they are the only other cat that they can truly trust and be themself with. They are the most important person in the world to each other. They would give up anything for the other. But then Mothwing starts making decisions Hawkfrost disagrees with. He feels like he's losing her, so he tightens his grip. But the harder he hold on, the more she pulls away, because his touch no longer feels like an embrace but a smothering. There's this slow, terrible decay over the course of series until they are almost unrecognizable to the other. I'm just crazy about these two, and I love to parallel them with Feathertail and Stormfur (who start out as another pair of very codependent siblings) but they end up in such different places.
Speaking of Stormfur, people are sleeping on the potential there with his friendship with Crowpaw! They start out as rivals for Feathertail's attention, but then after her death, when they are both absolutely devastated and at their lowest, they start to bond from the grief. They are totally ride-or-die bros by the end. Feathertail would have loved to see them such good friends in life, but the tragedy is that they would have never gotten that close without her death.
Fleshing out Feathertail's and Crowpaw's romantic relationship wasn't exactly something that I was excited about per se (I was never a fan of them together in canon) but I definitely found asking the question "what the heck did she see in him???" a fun challenge to puzzle out. And I'm quite happy with the results! I feel like leaning into the idea of them both feeling like outsiders in their own Clan (for very different reasons and with different reactions: Feathertail disliking her RiverClan Clanmates, while Crowpaw craved his WindClan Clanmates' approval) gave a nice balance of something that they shared/could bond over, while not being absolutely identical struggles.
Finally, something I'm looking forward to is diving more into the Tiger kid's relationships! I haven't gotten to dig into the pairings there that were unexplored in canon yet (as in: Mothwing and Brambleclaw, Tawnypelt and Hawkfrost, Tawnypelt and Mothwing) since I haven't yet reached the point in the story where Mothwing and Hawkfrost's parentage is common knowledge. But I am excited to get to it!

HEY so I’m like low key soober doober sick rn BUT
I wanna talk about my brain rot can I talk about my brain rot oh please pleas eplesoelspelapepaplpleasepla
SO I WAS ruminating on mine fuggin DP ftp AU and I was trying to come up with an antagonist that could potentially BLAST DANNYS CORE INTO 100000 LITTLE PIECES but felt kinda meh about Vlad doing that
But then I was like AH WAIT I CAN M AKE MY OWN CHARACTER.. SO I DID. But ehhhg what kind of motivation would this random ghost have for fucking up the poor ghost boy this time ahAH!
Cut to me blacking out and finding this on my iPad
OHOHOHO FUCKINNN WOUGH OK
if you look at Pariah Dark’s canon design
I thought this was a little strange… he doesn’t really scream… regal? Does he? Like.. he’s got renaissance boot flaps, a postiche??, skull tits, a loincloth, and obnoxious shoulder pads. This bitch is all over the place
Uhhv I forgot my point but EVENTUALLY I concluded that he wasn’t Raised the Ghost King but TOOK THE POSITION BY FORCE
Which is sick and adds a smidgeon of Nuance to his 1dimentional experience doesn’t it?? He took the power from some other king or power or even United the GZ eons ago wnbbb woah ok no that’s cool ok wait
So eons and eons ago,, ghosts were left to drift aimlessly on earth and the GZ without guidance which caused general mayhem for both the living and the dead. It was chaos. But a ghost who had lived in that Chaos and Disorder had died with a deep Obsession with CHANGING THAT
Enter: King Lark who’s ascension to Power was earned all post mortis. He was Obsessed with keeping Order and for a long time this aided him in his quest to unite the restless dead. BY HIS SIDE his faithful friend Thraal who handed the technical side of his rule. To help him rule Thraal made him the the crown and ring
They implemented Rules to the ghost zone that prohibited ghosts from crossing over to the mortal realms. And for a long while it was going pretty well
Except even after tightening his iron fist hold on everything in the GhostZone his core would ache to Fix the source of chaos (the continued existence of living things that would keep making more things that would also die) and so to rectify this he was all like oh yeah ok so if I kill every living thing on earth then no more problem :) WHICH IS BAD
and the ancients who were kinda pretty chill with everyone being chill in the GZ absolutely drew the line at fucking up the balance between the realms so they were like eeeehg put him in tha box. AND THEY DID
And now his friend Thraal (who over the years has been treated less like a dear friend and more like a Thrall) who had always had a sort of Obsession with following Lark (now pariah dark) like a good little sheep- has been going a little crazy waiting for Pariah to get out of his timeout box
Wait idk what I’m talking about nm good night h

I'm very curious, and sorry if you've answered this before but, how do you think an AU where Ani does not fall could happen?
The solutions I've seen in fic are mostly three: Palps dies (disappointingly rarely via Zillo beast); Obikin get together and clear up their disagreements/Ani comes clean about the Tattoine massacre and together they figure out Palps is the sith lord and prepare the order to face him/prevent order 66; or something happens that makes Ani realize his mistakes and ask for help (something that's somehow more of a wake-up call than Padmè begging him to stop and Obi Wan trying to talk sense into him). Shmi not dying is often part of all 3 options but I've never seen it alone changing Ani's fate and I don't think it would either.
I love the prequels, but Ani falling makes me sad because he starts as such a kind boy (though he struggles with attachment and later fear) but as a young adult he already has these massive flaws that seem insurmountable and he seems doomed to fall no matter what happens. So I think a lot about how could Ani not have fallen, in a close-to-canon AU? Palps dying, of course, but that doesn't feel like an emotionally satisfying story to me. Obikin getting together isn't (though I love them!) the story Lucas wanted to tell (disregarding that Ani not falling wasn't the story he wanted to tell either). And the third option I just don't buy.
What do you think? Is Ani doomed by the narrative, and no small change could have saved him, and a big deus ex-machina event is needed so Palps dies/Obikin get together/Ani comes to his senses?
Sorry if this is a bit rambly!
Hi! I've given this thought before and I generally come down to--once we set aside that Anakin had to fall, because that's the story being told--that I'm with George Lucas on this, that Anakin's fall is down to his unwillingness to accept that life is transitory, that life changes, that you have to let go, instead of trying to possess things. That is the issue that has to be solved, so any fix-it AU has to stem from that, in my mind. One instance is, as Lucas said, if Anakin had been found by the Jedi earlier, he would have been trained to love people without becoming attached to them, but that's changing more than what I think you want to change. For me, my answer is usually pretty boring--as much as I love reading pairing fic with fix-its and I roll with the way an author sets things up, I generally don't believe that a romantic relationship would have fixed Anakin, not even a healthily balanced one. Anakin's problem is that he was so afraid of losing people, of living with that loss, that he clung to the ones he loved, putting him in a relationship just hurtles him down the same path as in canon. The best way for him imo is to get rid of Palpatine, which doesn't take away Anakin's issues, but it gives him breathing room to grow in a healthier way, to not have that constant temptation and seductive whisper dripping poison in his ear. It gives him the space to slowly come to trust the Jedi ways, because I very much do think that Anakin believed in the Jedi ways, he just couldn't get over himself when it was his own fears on the line. The way he teaches Ahsoka, he works to help her to let go of her attachments, he tells her exactly that when she's on Onderon. He teaches that to Rex when they're looking for Echo on Skako Minor. He believes in the Jedi ways, he has a good heart, he wants to do the healthy, balanced thing. He just can't get past that last, most terrifying hurdle. In a galaxy where he has more breathing room, where he doesn't have Palpatine driving a wedge between him and the Jedi, preying on his insecurities, he has the time to slowly do the self-examination necessary to grow into the person that he had the potential to be. And it's actually my favorite one, because I think it sticks closest to the heart of Lucas' Star Wars and the Force and the Jedi. That it's about learning to let go, to have a lifetime of discipline and work on yourself, to look inside and acknowledge your feelings and let them pass beyond you, that you have to do the hard work yourself and there's no shortcut to a better self. You have to work at it. I genuinely believe that Anakin could have gotten there without Palpatine. That doesn't mean his choices aren't his own, I've planted my flag hard on that hill, but that doesn't mean that Palpatine didn't fuck him up hardcore and, without his influence, in the events in Anakin's life where Palpatine's not a direct influence, he actually generally fares pretty well. When Palpatine isn't around, Anakin rises to the potential in him, he reaches out and does good, he accepts the help he's offered, like Anakin Skywalker had so much good in him, and if he hadn't been so tempted by Palpatine's siren song of "your feelings make you special", then I believe he would have gotten to a really good place with himself. But it's one I see as an internal journey of self-discovery, rather than being magically fixed by an external change. Getting rid of Palpatine is pulling the knife out of his side, but Anakin still has to heal the damage himself. Whether that happens during ROTS (harder, but still doable) or when he was younger, I think you have to truly get rid of Palpatine's existence, not just put distance there, but that Palpatine has to not be an option at all. Then Anakin will do the work himself.

⏳ favorite canon era/time period + why
🎤 if you could ask anne rice any three questions about tvc, what would they be?
⏳ ok I went a little crazy trying to find an ask where I previously talked about this but my tagging system is a mess and tumblr's search function is garbage so ANYWAY it's fine I'll just go off the rails again because my absolute favorite time period is always post-qotd/pre-totbt! It's the late 80s! Everyone is dealing with the fallout from Akasha in totally different ways! Everyone is more connected AND more isolated than ever before!! There's a chilling coldness that sets in once the dust settles, and everyone begins to go their separate ways from the Night Island.
It's like this razor-thin balance of finding hope in the dawning of a new era, and being absolutely petrified realizing that the abyss of infinite time is once again open, and everyone is free to do anything they want.
For Louis and Lestat I just find this period especially captivating because like, we go from having this tender moment at the end of qotd where Louis is so terrified that Lestat is going to leave him, but then when we pick up the next book five years later, they're living separately and just kind of drifting on their own. I think that gap between the books is so interesting and has so much potential for delicious angst LMAO like they're trying so hard to find a way to be together, but they just can't seem to figure it out (and this goes beyond loustat!! I just read your NYE devil's minion fic and it ripped my heart out a little bit LOL I swear I'll write up a proper comment on ao3 but the way daniel feels them drifting is so beautifully written and it just fills the whole piece with a beautiful tragedy).
🎤 asdgfchsvdkchjg I was hoping I wouldn't get this one LMAO I'm not necessarily one of those fans who pours over all of Anne's q&a's. Not that I'm not interested, I just feel like I'm more excited with what's on the page, and also the way people squabble about speculative things she has said in interviews and stuff just makes me uncomfy, so I don't engage in that level of fandom a whole lot. Also I don't think any of my questions would be that smart and have probably been asked of her before but ANYWAY here's my attempt lol!!
please tell me more about Mojo LMAO please I need to know his favorite chew toys, his favorite position to fall asleep on Lestat, did he ever tear up the courtyard garden, did they make any other dog friends???
Are you satisfied with Lestat's overall arc, from the very beginning of iwtv through to the last book? When you sit down to write him, how often do you have a general arc set, and how often does he surprise you when you're in the middle of writing? Is there anything you would change about his specific narrative, looking back?
What do you see as each character's biggest hope/goal and biggest challenge, post-blood communion?

13, 14 and 22 for both of them please! what did they think of the gang upon first meeting?
Thank you for the ask!! Im just gonna do all 8 companions bc I'm greedy hehe
Naadja:
Lae'zel- Naadja had never /seen/ Gith before but she had heard of them because Illithids occasionally appeared in the underdark. During the whole nautiloid situation, Naadja was trying not to panic moreso than get a good read on Lae'zel. It wasn't until the interrogation that she starts paying attention. Generally she found Lae'zel to be brutal and pragmatic which she respected.
Shadowheart- Loooots of secrets. Naadja lies to the group for a hot minute too so she's in no place to judge, it's just something she takes note of
Astarion- this is so stupid but she thought he was a drow. That's why she didn't help him, she thought he was gonna assassinate her AND THEN HE PULLED A KNIFE ON HER. She really /really/ did not trust him at first
Gale- She also did not like Gale at first he gave the wrongggg impression but warmed up to him she just wanted allies because she believes in strength in numbers (well, she wanted to be the leader)
Wyll- Naadja has a… thing about warlocks her brother was a warlock she thinks it's a desperate grab for power and she thinks it's pathetic. But she really likes how he is with children. Naadja loves children; she thinks they're the future (of her army. Lmfao) so she respected him a lot
Karlach- She uh… has a thing for horns and tails. She really REALLY wanted to save her (especially if she was a devil ngl)
Halsin- I have since changed my canon on this lmfao so if you've seen old posts no you haven't 🥰 anyway she's pretty indifferent to the whole “nature oak father bless me” stuff she isn't really interested in the balance of anything. She'll take him to moonrise but like… whatever
Minthara- They have a LONG history like WAY before the tadpoles. When Naadja saw Minthara at the shattered sanctum she thought her cover was blown like she was minced meat. But Minthara was all open arms and “in her name” about it and Naadja immediately realized that something was seriously wrong about this cult because no way would Minthara not kill her on SIGHT. That's why Naady spared her because she's a lil nosy and unfortunately a bit empathetic 🤢 so they had a lot of catching up to do once she freed Minthara
Zafyna:
Lae'zel- Immediately saw her as a threat (and potential lover 😏) was hesitant to trust her but decided to push on
Shadowheart- Again, the secrets. But like, being a Priestess of Lolth it is no big deal she really did not push. Also reallyyyy hot for Shadowheart
Astarion- kinda impressed he pulled a knife on HER ngl that is NO small feat. She kept her eye on him for that tho
Gale- Wizard…😒. Lol she didn't hate him kinda just ignored him unless he made himself useful
Wyll- Thought he was an adept fighter. Seemed like a goody two shoes. She wanted to know about his eye though it seemed interesting
Karlach- She felt she could be useful. Made a lot of excuses for herself. OBVIOUSLY not a devil get it together Wyll😒
Halsin- Who?
Minthara: PLEASE COME BACK TO LOLTH'S FORCES THE WEB MOTHER WANTS YOU BADDDD UNNNHHHH😩😩😩😩

The force as part of all living beings always has been part of Star Wars canon
About the discourse with Sabine and Ahsoka and Ahsoka supposely breaking previous canon by training Sabine, I believe it´s best to look at the facts of the previous trilogies first to get a balanced view about this.
The force always has been part of every living being since the original trilogy, Yoda and Obi-Wan talk about it as a force field that keeps united all living beings in the galaxy, that helps them see the past or the future, how to avoid trouble and how to connect with all living beings around the people using it, this is the original description of what the force is and this didn´t change in the series, Ahsoka is just recognizing this fact to train Sabine in the Jedi arts.
The level of force sensitivity is the thing at question here, not the force itself, on the battle over the first death star all rebel pilots had the force because all of them were living beings but Luke was stronger in the force than the other pilots and so Vader could detect this, he didn´t say "He is force sensitive" or "He has the force" , he said "The force is STRONG in this one".
Sabine as a living being with mandalorian training can perfectly learn and practice the Jedi arts even if the intensity of the force in her isn´t as strong as Jedi trained by the Jedi Order, like Kanan, Ahsoka, Anakin or Obi-Wan, she still can learn and become someone like Chirrut Iwe from Rogue One, who certainly was using the force in his daily life and practiced his martial arts trusting it to protect him.
In fact I could go as far as saying that most of the Rogue One crew, Jyn Erso, Andor, Baze, Chirrut, despite not being jedi or strong in the force, still trusted it to help them steal the death star plans and the only one in the Empire who noticed was Vader, hence his comment about the force being stronger than the Death Star. It doesn´t need to be obvious or impressive, it just needs to allow certain events to happen at the right time.
The force always had faith elements to it since the original trilogy and even not strong force sensitives can use it sometimes. Vader knows this for a fact because as a child he knew exactly what to do to protect himself or win the podraces his owner keep putting him expecting him to die at any moment. This is the force acting despite no training and that´s how it acts in most beings.
Even the strongest force sensitives by sheer potential in the series: Anakin, Palpatine, Yoda, Luke and Leia needed traning to truly access that level of conection and control over the force because they may have been the beings with the most potential but this didn´t mean they didn´t need to learn discipline and method to develop their potential.
Ahsoka and Luke are another example, Luke definitely has more force potential than Ahsoka, as Anakin´s Son "the force is STRONG in my family" , most of it already developed but Ahsoka knows way more about the force(at least at the time the Ahsoka series is happening) than Luke does, for her sheer training and experience.
So what Ahsoka is doing is traning in the Jedi ways someone who would not have been called or accepted at the temple but who nonetheless can learn to practice the force to help her in battle like Chirrut did or to get a stronger connection with all force sensitives around her and thats not wrong at all, neither does it contradicts any previous trilogy or canon.
Also, at this point, Ahsoka isn´t acting on behalf of the Jedi Order, in fact she still has conflicts over it, hence why she has not tried to help Luke more in the rebuilding of the school and my guess is because she´s trying to develop a variant of what the Order believed just involving people with different levels of potential while Luke is trying to rebuilt the school in the classical training of the old Jedi Order, at least in current canon, we don´t know if he will keep that path.
They could either go their own two ways or get to an agreetment over how best to rebuilt the Order but only time can tell and both have reason to want to make this slighty different to the way the old Order managed their training even if they really want to keep the traditions.
