I truly just don’t understand the decision to move Kimi up so early. Absolutely no disrespect to Kimi, I think he’s talented, but he’s still just a kid. They had him skip F3 and now he’s doing decent in F2, but nowhere at the level where he should be to be entering F1. At the end of the day, I know the decision is probably tied up in the media attention his story will draw and the money he will bring in. But once again, this feels like an obvious instance of the fia placing the show and spectacle of the sport over driver safety. The age limit rule was put in place for a reason, backtracking on it now solely so they can get their Senna reincarnate wunderkid story feels so scummy.

I've come to the conclusion that loving young royals doesn't mean I can't be critical about it, maybe especially bc I love the show so much I have such strong feelings about it, good and bad and I can love parts of canon and agree with it and appreciate it but I don't have to love it all. I have accepted that it's okay if I don't accept the ending and I don't have to force myself to support it. It's okay to not agree with all of canon and it's okay to not side with all of the creators' intentions/views. Loving a show doesn't mean you have to take everything the writers say on face value and that's the only version that is allowed to exist. Canon isn't everything and fandom is about curating your own experience that makes you happy and not miserable. You don't have to dismiss canon in every aspect and ignore it entirely, that's certainly not what I want but there is a fine line between being canon respectful, allowing some parts to exist and sometimes, yes, you just have to say "fuck canon" and move on for your own sanity and wellbeing
#especically in the first two weeks of a new release everyone is feelings lots of intense emotions ranging from ecstatic to angry#everything in between is a part of it and i know i'm also feeling very strongly about it right now#i always try to stay levelheaded and rational and see things from an objective pov and be diplomatic about discourse#i don't want any of what i say drift off too much into meaningless hate instead of the constructive criticism it's supposed to be#but when you feel so strongly about something and sometimes you really just wanna say yeah i fucking hate it lol#but i always try to explain why and give understandable arguments and not just blindly hate on something#for example - I'm aware there are fans who have some problems with s2 and don't love the season whereas i do and it's my fave#and there is a difference between expressing some criticism and justified concerns which you can understand where it comes from#and those who are just like 'oh it's a horrible season. it was so shitty and we should get rid of it' which is dumb hate and just not true#and i can't support people like that and take them seriously#i can have my own issues with s3 from a subjective pov which can also include some justified criticism as well#but also still acknowledge it as a truly good piece of tv media and the quality is top notch#and that's why you have such high expectations and have critique because it is so good and sets such a high standard#yrtalk#with that being said i understand ppl not wanting to see any critic about it if they are riding the high of happy wilmon endgame#but that doesn't mean that i can't express my own opinions on my own blog and i will continue to do so#and maybe one day i will feel differently and accept or even like the ending who knows#but it doesn't have to happen. it's fine if it does but it's also fine if it doesn't

#like YES wwx lost so much and he was truly happy in some aspects of LP and it was so unfair what he lost#but starting the story being so close to jc and then ending it being so close to lej was unquestionably a net benefit for him#and im someone who does support reconciliation but it's a happy ending that wwx is with someone#who can and will prioritize him and care for him and support him and prove himself trustworthy and a moral equal#in the way that wwx needs#not that it doesn't hurt. it probably hurts jc more tho#and um how do I say this. I don't rly care? after all he's done to wwx he doesn't even have the right to be in the same room as him#let alone demand shit from him. any reconciliation HAS to come with sincere and heartfelt apology#and if wwx rides off into the sunset w lwj and jc is left alone and miserable well. that's tragic but that's also due to his own actions#like dude you treated him like that what did you expect...#like at the end of the day. actions have consequences and shit#'well he didn't know about xyz' the shit he was doing to wwx both before and after he lost his gc was insane sorry#jc acts on emotion amd doesn't stop to think he might not have all the info...#also like. #i'll be okay...just not today#tw family death#it’s the day of the funeral and it’s been very difficult#I hate saying I’ve dealt with this since I was a child in my family#but it’s my husband’s grandmother who we were close with#I'm trying to distract myself the best I can and be there for him and make time for my own feelings too#but it’s shitty. the whole thing is#it wasn’t surprising but watching her slowly fade away hurt more than I imagined it would#i keep trying to tell myself i'm fine. that i can keep it together#my first funeral as a child was traumatic cause i didn't understand it and then it...just kept happening to our family#and her (my aunt) anniversary is in September#22 years and it still haunts me in the most bizarre yet beautiful ways#I’m rambling now. I know things get better and it just becomes something you deal with#it doesn’t mean it’s easy#my heart goes out to anyone who knows what I mean#I don’t even know if I know what I mean#sigh. if you read all this thank you and I love you#truly this little corner of the internet has brought me such sweet friends and i cherish you all. so much.#☆.queue
