i would love to do more but this was already a huge challenge

#crunchchute art #my art #sam and max #sam & max #i hope it will be viewable as i dont know how much tumblr will crunch it #in any case i have it up on twitter also and it seems to be in good quality there #it looks like a 'the 7 human souls:' meme hfhdhf #hey i can put more thoughts in the tags right? so first i didnt really put enough effort into my own one and i kinda realized my style #is kinda mid ngl. cause im lazy + this coloring style might not really fit them. anyway.#for sootnukis style i adore the rendering of the clothing folds and stuff but i couldnt get it just right it remains a mystery to me #silcrow i tried to do a traditional drawing but kinda messed up some of the coloring especially on the pants #also couldnt figure out if its just markers or markers + pencils or what. so i kinda did my own take of 90% markers 10% pencils #mtsodie i love the color palettes and the shapes so that was a lot of fun to try; i like the outcome #narnour i absolutely love the tiny little eyes and how goofy and round they look so that was fun to try to replicate too #as well as the colors which i mostly color picked cause i couldnt get a red overlay right #zembo was a nice way to revisit a chalky brush that i havent used in ages not sure if i got it right though #applettoast i feel like theres some gorillaz influence or its at least something i used while coloring. as you might know i used to draw #gorillaz a lot and tried to replicate the coloring etc. and i think it fit here. correct me if im wrong lol #snuckeys was also hella fun cause i love the cartooniness and the details like the teeth showing gums and stuff. hope i did it justice #also the eyes! i love the big highlight and that the eyes are brown its cute #it was nice to branch out for a bit

as I go insane over the timeline for lore have old art of Honno their concept drawing and then the finale version of them She was going to have no eyes shown type shit but I thought against it to be able to emote Honno a bit more Though I kinda want to give Honno the baggy pants and jacket maybe??

on today's episode of 'acaica's background thoughts for the dess raises kris au': okay but lets be serious do dess and chara actually stay together in the end--

#drkau #chatter #i debate over this point SO OFTEN LOL #they are BACKGROUND characters. like medium at best.#dess (or asriel or both you can argue any way) is the catalyst for everything but at the end of the day this is a kids story #and noelle IS still going to be the main character #but. man. does desschara work it out #their dynamic will be by far one of the hardest ones to write it think #it is very messy and very complicated and neither of them make great choices #and ive been writing a test piece of them for a WHILE #which. was good to get a decent nail of their characters as they stand in this au #but introduced SO MUCH MORE MESS. bc chara is aroace and 100% has some trauma and fucked-up feelings around sex #but xe DOES have sex with dess. and its like. does xe fully consent to it? yes!#does dess check in to be sure hey you're down bc she knows chara is ace while she isnt? also yes!!!#by the books they do everything right its just. chara is very very very good at rationalizing things.#and xe is. not actually as okay with this as xe is trying to be. and in fact this is very unhealthy for xir #(and then theres this whole OTHER layer of dark worlds and prophecies and everything that leads to frisk being born)#and its like. man. Man. this is so much to juggle #just everything between desschara is jngdfg they are trying their bests but it really is not going that well #bc they meet at like. 19-20 i think and chara's had nobody at all and sorta keeps chasing being someone's most important person #and dess has never had someone who has understood her on a level like chara #who really truly gets what shes about as a person and how she operates in the world #and its just a perfect storm really. and they both have kids and dess did technically kidnap hers just a little bit #and she never tells that to chara. and she tries but she cannot stay in place with xir #and chara couldnt hate her bc. again. has never experienced unconditional love #or love at all really </3 so instead of ever having hard conversations xe will brush it all under the rug #and sorta just enable dess's worse impulses. even sometimes at the expense of their literal children #ITS MESSY YALL. AND LIKE.#at the end of the day we'll see lol maybe they work it out maybe they dont. i have no idea. ive gotta write the thing #and if dr chapters 3&4 come out that could complicate things even FURTHER--

That if every time his temper flares or he deals a particularly cruel blow upon his opponent, it’s due to the Delusion’s lingering influence, that it may have altered him to be a crueler person as a result of his near half a decade-long dependence on it.

Got my souvenirs

Freeze dried skittles and handmade watercolors made by the owners of the art shop i got them at

#we dont have any good specialty art shops in Lawrence #we have a couple of places downtown that are kinda similar but they pretty much only have name brand stuff #nothing made locally #if it wasnt so expensive to start a business in Lawrence i might have a niche for handmade paints there #im trying to figure out what oil they used in their base to make it antimicrobial #cuz it smells really good lol #like my paints smell very strongly of cinnamon #im assuming clove oil since thats most common.....but idk if i can identify clove by smell #smells christmas-y tho #if i was more outgoing i mightve asked the owner some questions about it #my mom tried to talk me into getting the watercolor kit that had some little pieces of watercolor paper and a pencil and a brush #and i was like ''i have all that tho'' and she was like ''but then you could use them now.''#''.....yea. i have all that WITH me.'' like. im not gonna travel without my favorite art supplies lol #i gave up suitcase space for my giant watercolor sketchbook just in case i wanted to paint #i have MOSTLY travel watercolor sets and brought all of them with me in my pencil bag #i specifically filled up all my watercolor brushes with water the night before we left and made sure i had my favorite mechanical pencil #(which btw if you have executive dysfunction and like to paint with watercolors i highly recommend the watercolor brushes you fill #with water. i paint way more than i used to cuz i dont have to fill a cup with water any time i wanna paint)#i have my regular sketchbook #i even brought my sudoku book and a couple pens in case i felt like playing sudoku #i dont travel without my bag of activities. i may not always do the activities i bring but i like to have options #at least its better than when i was a kid cuz i tried to bring activities AND like 5 stuffed animals #my suitcase was usually half stuffed animals #i also usually had a few shoved into my pillowcase with my blanky

I wish I knew how to knit gloves or smth. I just got a shitload of this really nice soft rainbow yarn for cheap when I was out thrifting the other week but now I don't really know what to do with it

#so far ive mostly been cutting it up into short segments and turning it into little hair tufts #what i usually do is just bunch a lot of short segments together like im gonna tie them into a hat pompom #and then beat the crap out of them with a wire cat brush until all the yarn texture is gone #acrylic yarn works best for it from what ive found! it gets real soft and wispy. kinda reminds me of troll doll hair #ive also tried the same method with cotton yarn but it mostly just got all stringy and fragile :(#either way its kind of a fun stimmy thing! but i really need to be more careful with the wire brush lol #i have a bunch of bandaids on my offhand bc i kept accidentally scratching myself on it yesterday 😅#ace screams into the void
