rambling 👇
so this is based on a line of thought i was having earlier today about what would happen w these 2 after the events of the plot. (a quick summary: after the death of both of his parents (murder-suicide) dorian inherits their titles, and raven leverages the relationship they already have such that he's now completely emotionally dependent on her.)
and anyway the initial thought i had was. that he's become an enabler essentially (succeeding his parents in more ways than 1), just standing by and watching as raven terrorizes the people around them, bc atp he really only cares for + trusts her. and will actively use his power + influence to shield her from consequences.
but even w all that. wouldn't he still have to carry out the duties of his position???? whatever it is rich noblemen did back then. manage the local exports or some shit. have Serious Business meetings w other rich people, where he has to pretend to be an actual person and not just a dressed-up bundle of trauma.
this is what usually happens after those meetings.
