Decided to share an experience that we had as we've been dealing with D.I.D or at least acknowledging it.

We discovered our D.I.D around 2020. (I know it sounds like every fakers story but stay and listen)

As we started we thought logging alters was necessary, that keeping track of who's fronting and everything was how you fit in and keep everyone in line. Very quickly we learned that was wrong and practically impossible while still going through abuse.

And we learned thats okay.

Young systems, you don't need to have all these alters written down/logged in simply plural/ told to the whole world.

Instead us young systems should let alters do their job. Trauma is what caused this and trauma and stress is what is going to continue to happen to our small brain. It's okay.

Don't stress it. Let it. You can personally know everyone, and sometimes write about your brain mates. But lets take it slow.

I am making an endo-free system space blog masterlist; inspired by @plague-hybrid and the one I helped them create.

dont get too caught up in syscourse. most of the people making horrible takes aren't meaningfully contributing to the community, attending plural events, working on themselves in therapy, researching plurality and keeping up with studies, etc.

they're posting about things in order to get you riled up. to respond and provide attention. divide your system and community further. etc etc.

take a break! go hang with your plural friends! maybe eat a comfort food. have a cup of hot coco. relax, it's okay.

and then when you're ready, come back and start cooking. plural culture will go on and you will have your chance to influence it.

I posted a tiktok talking about someone fakeclaiming for a stupid reason. Someone then commented and argued with me for like 20min that 'highway dissociation' and role playing is all D.I.D is.

End up just blocking them cause we weren't getting anywhere and then started bringing age and school into the conversation??!

Some dipshit really said “look up highway dissociation” to try and say dissociation “happens to everyone every day”.

Y’all really do like butchering words to make them fit into your narrative huh? Cuz ain’t no way you’re trying to compare your brain filtering out background noise so you can focus on more important things to forgetting days, weeks, months or even years of your life to protect yourself from severe trauma.

One of those things happens to everyone. The other only happens to people with severe trauma disorders and/or someone going through something traumatic. Comparing a normal brain function to something only disordered brains do and trying to say they’re exactly the same is not only stupid, but ableist.
