it's a very strange, and possibly rather uncommon experience to have received heteronormativity from both sides. I'd imagine that trans bisexuals have a similar, if converse, experience to mine (which is that of an aromantic trans person). it's interesting to be able to relate to both lesbians and gay men with respect to societal expectations to be attracted to the opposite gender, and to have that pressure ultimately unchanged before and after my transition

All of the Prehistoric Pride guys in one collective post to celebrate pride month. Choose your fighter and have an awesome time :D
More suggestions are always welcome, I sadly was not able to cover everyone, but I will do more of these in the future!
I am going to add more and more to the collection as I get them done :D

If you would like to support my silly little dinosaur art, then you can buy any of these Prideaurs as stickers from my Etsy shop, which I just set up recently. I am pretty new to this entire business side of art things, but I am trying my best :D so a like or a reblog would go a long way. Thank you guys so much for all your kind words and support!

A group of aces is a deck
A group of aros is a quiver
A group of trans women is a code-camp
A group of enbies is a byte
A group of bi people is a tandem
A group of pan people is a panic
Thank you for coming to my wilderness documentary

transhet people are absolutely lovely. straight trans women & straight trans men have a beautiful experience. straight aro and ace people are still queer and live queer lives. straight non binary, genderqueer, gnc, bigender, genderfluid, intersex, two spirit and other queer people are a blessing to our community. any straight queer person belongs, no matter what. cis people can be queer, so can straight people. queer hets belong all the same

this is gonna be kind of a rambly post so feel free to ignore me... but; given how staunchly "PLEASE treat trans men and women the same way you would cis men and women, respectively" I am, it is a little bit contradictory of me to have this opinion/observation, but... is it just me that there's a bit of a homo-normativity, so to speak, at least among trans men? the pressure of "don't like women, you have to like men" seems to have carried over even after transitioning
and it's only in spaces that are nominally accepting of trans people, and when people know that you're trans ofc, but the pressure to like men seems relatively the same to me now as it was when I was a kid and very much not attracted to boys. and obviously, trans straight men & trans gay men who are out and living as male and stuff mostly have the same stuff as cis straight men and cis gay men do (i.e. straight trans guys can definitely be quite homophobic & gay trans guys experience homophobia and heteronormativity)
I've definitely experienced a sort of pressure to be straight now that I've transitioned, where I definitely didn't have anyone wanting me to like girls beforehand (although I did get a few people assuming I was attracted to women and reacting based on that assumption), but in places where people know I'm trans (almost exclusively online nowadays) I still get this implicit pressure that I should like men.
if I'm taking a pessimistic view of the wider trans community I'd assume it's that they think of us (trans men) as some separate, slightly feminized category to cis men, and thus we should be attracted to guys bc women must be into men. if I'm taking a charitable view then I'd say it's just bc sexuality-wise, gayness/bisexuality makes you part of the lgbt community, while straightness is the norm and straight people aren't lgbt unless they're also trans. so obviously the queer community is focused on being gay bc that sexuality is inherently queer whilst heterosexuality is not
(and that's not including aromanticism or asexuality, when they're on their own and not a part of being gay/lesbian/bi, but I can say that for me (being aromantic), I've felt more similar in sexuality experiences to trans straight guys than to trans gay or bi guys. lack of attraction to women notwithstanding. bc we both share the "not attracted to men" part)

On this fine day, at 8:37 AM, I walked outside to the front of my school and saw that they replaced the Canadian flag, the flag of our country, with a Pride flag. I have never felt happier. I have never laughed so hard in my life. This is in not a complaint, I just think it's very funny that they replaced the Canadian flag with a Pride flag for no apparent reason. They have their priorities figured out.
