due to her fae blood, ayla couldn't eat raw meat like the other witches, but she could drink blood, so the meals prepared at the omega were the only things she could eat. waiting for the meal in the line with her bowl, flanked by manon and asterin, the last one, protecting both. the hall was a mess. every day a fight happened, and there wasn’t a day where manon wasn’t touching her, making clear to the witches gathered there that they would be dead if she was hurt, especially iskra. 

the last blueblood finally left and ayla watched as her bowl was filled with soup. she heard a voice to her left and she didn’t need to turn around to know who she was. apparently, iskra loved to make manon angry.  

“rules are rules” iskra said. asterin let a warning snarl. “no eating the rabble” she added. 

“ah. i was wondering why no one’s bothered to eat you,” manon said. 

iskra looked at ayla and manon snarled. “hello ayla.” iskra said. ayla didn’t dare to look at her, she passed iskra and went to manon, as her bowl was also filled.

“i hear your thirteen are taking to the air today”

“what business is it of yours?” 

“well, i was wondering where you were going to leave your little witch” at that manon flashed her iron teeth at iskra. 

“you know, you would be the last person on this planet i would be with. so go away iskra if you don't want all your teeth gone” ayla warned. 

and iskra went on. “there’s talk of skipping our training rotation so we can see the legendary thirteen take to the skies for the first time in a decade.”

manon clicked her tongue in pretend thought. “i also heard there’s talk that the yellowlegs need all the help they can get in the sparring room. but i suppose any army needs its supply drivers.” ayla and asterin let a low laugh that made iskras brown eyes flashed. 

they left iskra in the line, her eyes burning with anger. they reached the table where the rest of the thirteen were waiting, and ayla made sure iskra was watching them as her arms hugged manon’s neck, bringing her down to kiss her. her teeth gripped manon’s lip, drawing blood from it and licked it with her tongue. their tongues were dancing a waltz. when they broke up, manon’s lips were straight to her neck, leaving marks wherever she could.

they didn’t finish the meal. they couldn’t finish it after their kiss session, and they left the thirteen at the hall, a knowing smile on asterin's face. manon didn't look for a room or a closet, as she pushed her to a wall and kissed her again. her hands wandered through her waist, her back, her ass, every part of her, and ayla thought she was going to melt right there. a low moan escaped her lips as manon lifted her skirt, gripping her tights in the process and moving aside her already soaking underwear. she had made her come twice with her hands.

and now she watched as manon was getting ready to fly. ayla noticed how her legs shaked a little bit, her neck had marks everywhere, the same as manon. she was nervous for her but didn’t show it. the matron was beside her viewing, assessing, controlling. iskra’s coven filled either side of the platform. 

ayla watched a man give instructions to manon, the thirteen ready behind her. manon studied the open gap, the six faces on either side and finally she looked at ayla, holding longer on her and she pulled down the bond, sending her strength and love. manon turned ahead. “we are the thirteen, from now until the darkness cailms us” she said quietly, “let’s remind them why”.

a moment later manon and the thirteen were flying, and ayla kept that image in the back of her mind.

Sry can i add smt to ur venti thing? I headcanon that its a general wind spirit thing. They all are chased a lot by cats because they hav a strong elemental smell which is similar to catnip for cats (also means cats fuckin love venti). The cats cant actually hurt them, but it is scary. and so over time they developed a warning to themselves and others when theres a cat nearby, that being a squeaky sneeze-like sound. This tranlated onto a human body as an allergy, much to ventis annoyance.

Also maybe hes scared of cats a little too? For the same reasons.

Also adding to wut you said abt medicine, i imagine it can work on him but in massive amounts, like with alcohol.

Honestly doing stuff alone is pretty freeing. And if you feel off/awkward it mostly takes a couple of tries to get comfortable with it (I have an anxiety disorder so somedays I have to actively talk myself to leave the house). I don't understand the feeling of loneliness I read a lot about online, because to me it's comfortable to be on your own if you have the means to.

If you fill your life with the things that build you up, with your hobbies, your aspirations, your goals, new adventures, there really isn't room for that empty feeling people talk about.

A small friend group, each with their own lives outside of you is what's ideal to me. Maintaining your own life for your own to me tranlates to less time masking, less time trying to parse my words, less time trying to be ok when I don't feel like that, or tamping down my excitement when it's for something other's wouldn't care for.

The internet itself with its anonymity and ambiguity can also be freeing. Why hold something in when you can toss it into space? And maybe, sometimes, someone else will see it, and wether it's a small acknowledgedment of a like or a big response added after, it's enough. At least for me its enough to let me know I'm not really alone, and for as long as there's strangers out there I won't really be alone.

And that's the peaceful type of living I want right now, and that I hope to take with me into my future.

People put too much weight on relationships a lot of the time. And end up destroying themselves in the process, just to have small moments of clarity in the future in which they wonder why x or y happened and the what ifs.

Talking about LLV’s stage name... It appeared in the end of 80s. On the very first release of Gille’ Loves (actually the band name was Gillés Loves back in 1986) her name was written as Nana (photo 1).  In 1987 during the live year she presented herself as Nana as well. The actual phrase was: “There are no much time, but I’ll present the members. There are  Ryo on bass, Bart (?) on drums, and my younger brother Miki on guitar. And me – the older sister Nana”. So we might state that the band was formed along with her younger brother as his name was written on the first release. Second most famous member, Gardie, joined the band later. In the interview in 1989 she was telling that she remained the only original member of the band (photo 2). And as you might see on photo 2 by 1989 she started to sing under the name Lucifer. The same name is on the first demo-tape “Rose Kingdom” (1991) but with an addition “Luscious”. Luscious means ‘very sexually attractive’, I think adding this is really her thing. She always loved to balance on the verge and add some provocative and sexual notes into her art. But what is Violenoue? There are two possible ways of explanaion. I think it is better to start both explanation with the point that Violenoue is written in Japanese as  ヴィオルヌ (Viorunu). And there was Fiction’s song ヴィオルヌの犯罪 (Viorunu no Hanzai) - The crime of Viorunu.  The first theory is that it is Japanized name Björn. Luci’fer loved the movie “Death in Venice”. The main character was played by Björn Andresen. And Luci’fer herself wrote that he really loved the androgynous way he looked. And on the VHS “Viorunu” is romanized as Björn (photo 3). The point agains this theory is that usually the name Bjorn is tranlating to Japanese as ビョルン, Byorunu, but not Viorunu. But Luci’fer may not have known this fact.  The second theory is also can be explained through the song  ヴィオルヌの犯罪 (Viorunu no Hanzai). There is a novel with the same name (photo 4). And Luci’fer might have chosen the name for the song after the novel. As well as her stage name.  ヴィオルヌの犯罪 is a novel “L'amante anglaise” (English mint) by Marguerite Duras.  Viorne there is the city where the crime was commited.  So there are two points of view: Violenoue means the name “Björn”. Luci’fer romanized it the same way herself. The second one: Violenoue is coming from the name of Viorne - the town from Marguerite Duras’ novel. The name of the Fiction’s song is the same as the name of the novel. And the name Violenoue is Japanized the same as the name of Viorne in the novel. I think both are true.

to be loved is solo artist nari's debut mini album which was released as a digital and physical EP on 24th september 2016. they promoted the title track 'love you' for 4 weeks, and one of their b-sides 'dive with you (ft. eaJ)' for 2 weeks.

the album has 2 versions, lover (right pic) and loved (left pic). according to the statistics of both digital and physical sales in january of 2021, the lover version has higher sales than loved by 4%. with the number of sales combined, to be loved has over 2 million copies sold worldwide.

nari decided to go for a elegant but not over-the-top kind of look. this consisted of simple materials with extra accessories like jewelry and patterns on the clothing itself. common fabrics were lace, cotton and silk. common accessories were simple necklaces, earrings and rings.

as for hairstyles, nari's dark brown hair was down or tied to a high-ponytail. it was paired with a head accessory, usually a headband with little decorations.

DIVE WITH YOU

this called for beach and summer-style outifts !!! those stage peformances consisted of patterned clothing pieces (often checkered or flower patterns). this era didn't have as much jewelry as 'love you', but they were replaced with bandanas, thread bracelets, etc.

nari's hair was in hairstyles like dual braids and buns with bandanas around them. as for footwear, it was only one-toned sneakers (specifically white or one colour from the rest of her outfit).

EXTRAS !

the album has 2k pre-orders which is wonderful for a soloist's debut album. this lead to her having a small but loyal and stable fanbase.

nari originally wanted their album name to be 'ad meliora', which tranlates to 'towards better things' in latin. but a few people that they wanted to get opinions from said that it doesn't related to the concept as much as the official name for it.

nari was competing with groups like BTS and seventeen so it was a guarantee that they wouldn't get as much wins as they wanted. but they came with 2 wins and that was enough for them and idyllies.

- " ZIM. Are you ready or not? "

- " ZIM IS NOT READY HUMAN!" - The human rubbed her nose, losing her patience by the second.

- " I've been waiting for 10 minutes now, what are you looking for? "

- " MY WIG, ZIM CAN'T FIND IT! "

- " And where did you see it for the last time? "

- " IN THE LIVING ROOM! BUT IS NOT THERE!! "

Alma rolled her eyes and went to the living room to make sure herself. She could hear from the hall how Zim was throwing things around the house to find his wig. When she entered, she found GIR who was watching television as calmly as possible.

She looked at the mess of the room, long ago had she gave up trying to keep it in complete order with a hyperactive little robot hanging around. She looked and indeed, the wig wasn’t there.

- " GIR have you seen ZIM's wig? ".- The robot looked at her and smiled.

- " YES!! "

- " Where? "

- " Well, it was on the table… and then I ate it!"

Tiny, swift footsteps could be heard from the other end of the house, growing louder as they approached the living room.

- " Let me help you " - She took him and made him ride on her shoulders like a little child. At that moment, she could feel Oko looking at her sternly and judging her decisions.

Good evening everyone, tis I, your bringer of fun Mando’a vocabulary for a second time. This language is fuckin wild, guys, and I owe my life to Karen Traviss for letting it exist at the same time as I do. Learned some cool ones today, including:

The fact that Mandalorians will sometimes refer to members of their family as the first two or three letters of their name followed by the suffix “-ika,” which is basically adding “-ito” or “-ita” in Spanish, or kinda-sorta “-ette” in English. It more or less translates to “little” overall. (See also: cyar’ika, which means darling or sweetheart)

In that same vein, the word for helmet is “Buy’ce” (pronounce BOO-shay or BOO-chay). The word for cradle is “buycika” (pronounce BOO-she-kah), and while Karen Traviss/mandoa.org don’t explicitly state it, that does literally tranlate to “little helmet” which is so heartwarmingly cute for some reason ???

Di’kut (pronounced DEE-koot) means idiot, but literally translates to “someone who forgets to put their pants on” which is good

The phrase “Gar taldin ni jaonyc; gar sa buir, ori’wasaas’la” means “Nobody cares who your father was, only the father you’ll be.” Granted, “buir,” as well as many many many pronouns in the Mando’a language, is completely gender neutral and can mean either parent. That being said, family and being a good parent is extremely important to these people.

Wanna learn how to curse? Haar’chak means damn it! Usen’ye means fuck off! Osik means shit! there are some others but those are the good ones

The phrase “Ib’tuur jatne tuur ash’ad kyr’amur” means “today is a good day for someone else to die” which is a big mood (also, you have to realize this is a warrior culture)

Speaking of warrior culture, there are a lot of words about... war. Go figure. Anyway “ori’buyce, kih’kovid” is one of my favorites, too. Literally, “all helmet, no head.” According to the website, it’s a “common term of derision for someone with an overdeveloped sense of authority.”

Another way to call someone an idiot is to call them “utreekov” which means “emptyhead”
