Southern North Kala Draft #1

Trying out Inkarnate pro, the options are pretty versatile honestly. This one is done with Regional HD, which I prefer for adventure maps. The slightly cartoonish style really adds character to the map in my opinion, although its not very useful for bigger campaigns with many travels between adventures.

I will definitely be adding more stuff to the map, as it still feels a bit empty. As well as detailing the points of interest.

Major Points of Interest

Hemene - first bigger settlement after the border with Eglasian Empire to the South. Themes: Native American and Viking culture, houses spread a bit apart, in the center of the town there is a temple, an inn, a blacksmith and a big woodworkers shop.

Bigby's Train - Magical train conjured by the Great Mage Bigby, running back and forth from Taurum Forest to the Free City of Xi Xi in the East.

Grand Tribehall - Serves as a meeting point for the Chieftains and Clan Leaders of North Kala, who meet there twice a year, on equinoxes. Elected Great Chiefs of Kala stay there during the whole year, and every tribe and clan is expected to provide a certain amount of warriors to the Host Army which deals with bigger threats to the region.

listen I expected literally Nothing from the D&D movie okay, like I can't make it clear enough that I expected the most soulless money grab with a good cgi budget imaginable, I went in having already gone through every stage of grief and landed on acceptance and LISTEN

I fucking CRIED during this dumb RPG movie. it wasn't just "not terrible" it was objectively good with a clever plot and compelling characters and sincere emotional beats. this movie loves D&D so fucking much and it NAILS the "a bunch of goobers try to be cool and accidentally discover The Power Of Friendship And Also Great Violence" classic D&D party vibe. their barbarian's last name is fucking Kilgore and my entire family cried in the theater.

I hope they make twelve of these motherfuckers.

thinking about Lawrence and Benitez's relationship after the events of the film. Both viewing the other as better suited for the papacy than themselves. Vincent leaning on Thomas during his rapid ascention to head of the church, grounding him through the chaos. Thomas leaning on Vincent as he continues in his responsibilites, a light in the madness of diplomacy he must navigate. Vincent restores Thomas' faith in God, but Thomas restores Vincent's faith in himself.

They will die within days of one another.

Even more dnd-inspired designs! You might recognize Hiccup from an old post, I redrew him to match my current style (this started as a game where I assigned not-first-choice classes to the characters, that's why he's a druid and not an artificer or smth else!)

A new technology has arrived, thanks to the power of the arcane crystals. This so-called train has been fitted with the nicest amenities and facilities.

Your players can take part in the first trip made in this new method of transportation! Surely nothing can go wrong with such cutting-edge technology.

The creature tokens for this map are a Cursed Book, a Machinist and a Night Stalker. Emerald tier gets the Machinist while Diamond tier gets all three. In addition, Sapphire tier gets extra creature token variants.
