What do the Swamp Chickens call Ice, Mav and Slider?

Oh Nonny, I'm so glad you asked!!!

They are: Papaw Tracas (Pappy Trouble), Papaw Bouille (Pappy Custard/Pudding), Papaw Écrevisse (Pappy Crawfish).

Mav got his name because, well… he is. Gunny picked that one.

Slider is Papaw Écrevisse because the first time he met Mack, he scooped up that kid in a massive bear hug — because he's got the same body type as Mav (short and compact). Ree busted out laughing and said Mack’s face was as red as a cooked crawfish.

Ice is Papaw Bouille because, according to Bug, he's soft and sweet like custard. He's Bug’s favorite grandpa. 😭💜 (Ice’s backbone also turns to pudding, when that quiet redhead cuddles into him and says she loves him and that she's never met a man like him, one who is nice and protects them). Again, Jake notwithstanding, Nessie will always just be Nessie — an outlier. Their Dad was… yeah. 😭💔

Arrival of the Midsummer flame to Barcelona, Catalonia's capital city. The flame is lit at the top of the Canigó mountain in Northern Catalonia, a symbolic and mythical mountain in Catalan folk culture, and from there it's taken to every part of our country. The flame arrives right before the Catalan holiday of Sant Joan's eve (Midsummer/Saint John), when the Canigó flame will be used to light the bonfires of more than 3,000 towns and cities around the Catalan Countries. You can see how the arrival of the Canigó flame is celebrated with various traditional elements of Catalan celebrations, including castells, giants, big-heads, the Eagle, and a traca (firecrackers that signal the beginning of the holiday). J'aime l'état de zenitude dans lequel je me trouve depuis plusieurs jours. Le fait d'être en vacances aide beaucoup mais pas seulement. Depuis plusieurs mois, je sens que je suis dans une phase nouvelle, d'acceptation de ce qui est. Je m'ancre dans le moment présent en me tenant éloignée des tracas du passé et des doutes de l'avenir. Je savoure l'instant, je souris et je me débarrasse des angoisses qui empoisonnent ma vie. J'espère que cet état ne s'évaporera pas avec le retour à la maison et la routine quotidienne.

Et d'un coup, tout l'atmosphère est devenu lourd. Mes épaules se sont affaissées, ma vue s'est embrumée. J'ai perdu pied comme si le sol se derobait. Plus rien n'avais de sens à part se sentiment de tristesse qui émane de tout mon corps. Souffle court, image trouble, tête en vrac. Plus rien ne comptait, moi je disparaissais sous une tonne incommensurable de mauvaises sensations. Des émotions beaucoup trop familière et fréquente face à un simple tracas du quotidien ou parfois devant une montagne d'événements traumatisant. Je ne sais plus gérer, je me laisse doucement dépérir en espérant être repêcher par le bonheur ou quelques rire.

Il y a une seule personne que je devrais remercier nuit et jour pour me donner la force d’être toujours sur cette terre, c’est mon petit frère. Il ne manque jamais l’occasion de me faire rire. Il m’en fait oublier mes tracas. Je ne pense pas avoir rencontré d’autres personnes comme lui sans once de méchanceté, de vices. Parfois ça me rend triste de penser qu’un jour il fera sûrement sa vie, loin de moi et que j’entendrai probablement plus autant qu’avant ses blagues ou la satisfaction de me voir rire grâce à lui. Mais c’est un comportement égoïste de penser ça, alors je chasse vite cette idée et je lui souhaite que le meilleur avenir.

Une tasse de café sur un fond musical, voilà deux ingrédients pour démarrer sa journée en toute sérénité. On se laisse rapidement emporter par le vent jusqu'au plus haut des cieux...!

Cette reprise très inspirée est une véritable pépite, c'est du grand art !

Une musique parfaitement ciselée, flûte planante mais qui en même temps dit quelque chose de cohérent en réponse à la chanson. Le style jazzy renforce ce côté léger qu'emporte le vent.

Je sens le vent dans mes cheveux emporter avec lui, les tracas de la vie...
