ngl I was a little surprised when I first saw people describing Falin as a "masculine" woman. like this is just what the average Northern European woman looks like on a regular day:

If anyone's ever distressed over the current situation in doth just remember that in the canon storyline, they're getting invaded by aliens right about now.

#okay it's hard to judge timelines in cartoons because characters rarely change clothes and the backgrounds don't shift #plus the boys run around naked unless it's literally snowing out so they're not a great indicator #but it looks like it's still warm and there's plenty of tourists #and april's started her college classes #which would put the movie at the end of august/early september #unless april is taking summer classes #though i'd still put it at the end of summer considering she gets out of class when it's dark outside #in june that's like 10 pm #which i mean night classes are a thing but they rarely go THAT late #oh and the movie canonically took place in 2020 #i guess a parallel 2020 where covid didn't destroy society

The test prep curriculum I have to teach tomorrow is just straight us propaganda with a passage that's like "many experts are lamenting American cultural colonization in foreign countries, BUT it causes a lot of economic development and makes the countries modernized so :)". Would love to shake the article writer and ask them to say with their whole chest WHY countries in south america and southeast asia are economically suffering and how us culture specifically having a stronghold there is connected and significant .. would love to know...

Carving pumpkins 🎃

31st of October 1980

Jeremy Bradshaw is 5, and it’s one of the last memories he has with his father, Thomas, as he is going to disappear on the night of the 15th to the 16th of November 1980 💔

I’m very sorry as I’m also heartbroken by what I did 😭

But I like to think that Jeremy would end up being very nostalgic of Halloween because of that, and would be the one having candies to give is any kid would ring at his flat on Halloween’s night, and he’d even have candies for his student because he’s cool ™

I wanted also to draw Thomas Bradshaw for once because that doesn’t happen much kdkdkd (it’s a quick drawing so no intricate backgrounds or anything because I was really inspired by this idea:)

And when I saw this yesterday my brain just went immediately “Jeremy and Thomas Bradshaw” so here y’all go!

I also like to think that Jeremy has kept that t-shirt in his closet because it reminds him dearly of his father and still wears it time to time to this day 🥺

Speaking of the tee, I did research to do accurate touristy t-shirts so I got inspired by this one I had found on Etsy! (I thought that as Thomas worked for Bridgewater he must have had gotten something like that at some point AND it’s also a nice way to get a nod to the podcast like that 🤧)

i actually love the comeback of bucket hats and mom jeans and big glasses and fanny packs and clunky shoes personally. i was born to dress like a dorky tourist from the 90s

#ever since middle school i have tried to follow trends and felt fundamentally like i qas doing it wrong and it didn't work when i did it #i couldn't pull it off it was forced and dumb even when i dressed and did my hair exactly like everyone else #so i gave up on being trendy bc it was never fun and didn't work #but i was so excited when mom jeans came back bc they're actually comfy then i saw cool fashionable people w fanny packs and i was like :0 #no way!!#then i found a cute floral bucket hat at goodwill and i was like hm why not and it actually rocks ngl #i finally got a new pair of glasses bc of headaches and i went ahead and got some big af 90s looking ones and they actually look good on me?#i know im lowkey dressing like a high schooler now but im finally having fun with my clothes and enjoying the way i look #also i got a haircut and its a bit retro and fun and finally my hair isnt in my face bc i tried bangs and i actually look nice for once #also the great thing abt the dorky 90s tourist style is its really practical and easy #like im comfortable and i have storage and my hair looks good no matter what with zero maintenance #i still dont wear makeup ever tho lol #but im glad there's finally a way to be fun and fashionable for lazy dorky people lol #i know some people complain abt the bucket hats and fanny packs and stuff but idc im having fun finally #this has been a shitpost
