Has there ever been any further exploration into Torchwood 4 within canon? I feel like they kind of glossed over it being 'missing' in all the media I've seen, is there an audio drama I'm missing out on?

you ever think about ianto telling jack that “(he’s) the worst monster of them all” in cyberwoman and how that probably stuck with him. no matter the change in their relationship, jack always has those words echoing in the back of his mind

I'm reading the Children Of Earth scripts and man they had SUCH a cool parallel that they cut out of Children of Earth Day 4.

At the very beginning of the episode, when Clem is reacting to seeing Jack for the first time and points the gun at Jack, he says "You're in every nightmare I've ever had" and in the script Jack responds with "I'm sorry. If I could've taken your place, I would've done."

They cut Jack's line out of the scene, and instead just had Clem shoot him after he says "I'm sorry."

Later, when Ianto is dying in the Thames House, Ianto tells Jack he loves him and then grows too weak to keep his eyes open. Jack says "Stay with me! Stay with me, please!" and in the script, when Ianto opens his eyes again, Jack says "If I could swap places..." but doesn't finish the sentence.

I so wish they'd kept those parallel bits of dialogue in. Just two examples of the absolute futility of Jack's words when it comes to the consequences of his actions. Two examples of the way his immortality ruins both the lives of others around him and his own life. The complete inadequacy of apology and of useless offers of sacrifice, an 'if' that is completely impossible and whose sentiment can't really be considered a comfort.

also, another thing: everything that ever happened to jack harkness was because of the doctor after the first 35 years. EVERYTHING. none of it have would happened if the doctor hadnt 1) invited jack to travel with them 2) stolen the tardis and ran away 3) met queen victoria in torchwood house and caused her to create an organization dedicated to hunting him down 4) helped open the rift with the gelth in cardiff 1869. THE DOCTOR WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO JACK: HIS IMMORTALITY. TORCHWOOD. AND EVEN TORCHWOOD CARDIFF.

As DW enjoyer I keep my fingers crossed for a long awaited grand Torchwood reunion of Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones in DA4.

I mean come on. You gave us Merrill and Solas but they never had a cutscene together. Or a game even. Feed your people Bioware.
