I’d recently just revived my old fanfic called “Scarespray” back from 2014 on Fanfiction.net! I’d recently just added a fifth chapter (technically sixth if you count the casting list).

1. James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes /Winter Soldier | Marvel Cinematic Universe

Watched Captain America The Winter Soldier and fell in love with Bucky’s character. He’s basically the reason I got sucked into the marvel universe.

2. Ranger Chuck Hansen | Pacific Rim (2013)

I love Chuck so much, the fact that he’s an asshole only adds to his charm. I can’t watch the movie without being emotionally prepared bc I’m not prepared to watch the idiot die. Liking characters that are asshole seems to be a re-occurring thing for me.

3. Maleficent | Maleficent (2014)

What’s not to love about her? She’s a freakin badass and she didn’t have a love interest when the movie ended. I loved how they handled her character.

4. Toralei Stripe | Monster High (2011-2016)

She’s one of the antagonists and I loved her bc she always took Cleo down a peg. And Cleo was such a cattie bitch so I liked their sort of “rivalry”. And I only like her throughout the 2011-2016 timeline the movies after that suck to put it simply.

5. Derek Hale | Teen Wolf (2011-2017)

I despise the movie with a passion, thank you tumblr for the spoilers and fix it fics so I didn’t have to watch it. I adore Derek for his brudy behaviour, antisocial attitude and the fact he’s a big softy at heart.

6. Draco Malfoy | Harry Potter (2001-2011)

Another loveable asshole. I will say Draco did deserve that punch to the face, one of my favourite moments of the series honestly.

7. Alec Lightwood | Shadowhunters (2016-2019) & the books (2007-2014)

Omg this was so hard to choose bc I love all the main characters for different reasons (not u clary). But Alec’s always been higher ranked than the others so he made it to the list.

8. Raven | DC Cinematic Universe

I enjoy Ravens character in most of the dc adaptations and comic books. Teen Titans (2013-) cartoon Raven I only like in certain episodes and ik it’s meant to be a silly show but god they do her dirty sometimes.

9. Billy Hargrove | Stranger Things (2016-)

Sigh, where do I even start. No I don’t excuse his behaviour towards Lucas but I understand why Billy acted that way. I also understand that his living situation isn’t ideal and that if this poor baby had a chance at a better story arc his character would’ve healed and been happier. They did Billy so dirty and I will remain salty about that til the end of time.

10. Wednesday Addams | The Addams Family 1991 & Addams Family Values (1993)

Look, look I appreciate some of the aspects of Tim Burtons Wednesday but some things I just can’t get over like idk the fact that Wednesday has this hate(?) relationship with her mother. And other things but this’ll turn into an essay if I delve into every aspect of the new Wednesday series. Wednesday loves her mother, not once in the original and the 1990s adaptations does she show a sense of hate towards her mother hell her parents in general. That’s what I hate about these new adaptions they make Wednesday the black sheep of the family when her family is already the black sheep’s of families. So the 1990s adaptations will always be my favourite adaptations and will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I know they were setting up "Toradeen on the rocks" during the FCBD issue, but cmon! We don't even know how they got together, and they're already breaking them up, that's bullshit!

Just... ugh, you know?

I'm like 99% sure they're gonna get back together and it's just the writers adding a bit of drama. And like, given their history, and Toralei's reputation, I don't think its' super uncalled for. In fact I think I would have been a bit put off if they didn't have some challenges in their relationship, they both have very strong personalities, and this is Clawdeen's first relationship. And they're 15 lol.

But like you said, there's no set up to their relationship, we don't even know how long they'd been dating, and next hing we know they're broken up?? It's weird as hell to have a whole pride comic, just to break them up off screen in the very next issue.

I have mixed feelings about Clawdeen's story arc seemingly revolving around relationship drama. I think there's more that could be done with her, but at the same time she's literally the only main ghoul never shown in a relationship in gen 1, so it's also kinda of a long time coming, and I'm psyched it's with Toralei instead of some random dude.

The first character you loved: Red vs Blue Oh god. It’s been like 8+ years since I did my first watch through.  I believe the first character I loved was probably Caboose based on the old fan art I had to clear out. I love this big bundle of dumb. He’s essentially the spirit of Red and Blue Team.  The Adventure Zone Taako Taaco. He was such a fun character that stole the show right off the bat for me. Taako helped keep my attention on the series for the first arc because it does take a bit to get into the series before The Black Spider’s appearance (when the ball really gets rolling). Monster High Lagoona Blue. I really adored her design when I first saw her in the cartoons. She’s an advocate, active, brave, and extremely thoughtful. Her accent is super cute. The movies never could do her look justice like it did in the original cartoon.

The character you never expected to love so much: Red vs Blue Oh god. Hmmm. Probably Locus? He had this mysterious and spooky vibe when he was first introduced and then was completely overshadowed by the force that is Felix. But he (Chorus Trilogy and s15 spoilers) broke out of his shadow, became his own person, and became friends with Grif. I really want to know what his future will hold. Also Red Team calls dibs.  The Adventure Zone Definitely Merle Highchurch. He’s a very underrated character in the fandom, I feel like. I absolutely adore this mess of a man. He won me over during the Stolen Century (though he was already gradually moving up in the favorite ranks) when Clint seamlessly transitioned into a completely different Merle to better suit that arc and then back to his original Merle when starting Story and Song. I was impressed. And the Parely scene? Absolutely magnificent, powerful, moving, has the best villain interacting with a character whose perspective is so different from his own. Monster High  This one is difficult to answer. To be honest I feel like it’d be a tie between Jackson Jekyll/Holt Hyde  and Hoodude Voodoo. The reason I say that was because none of them were in my radar as best character material. The more I saw them the more I loved them. There was an especially hidden complexity with Jackson/Holt’s character, that I started to explore in fanfiction and his journal. Hoodude’s introduction didn’t show much for his personality, but when they added him in Scaris as well as the Casta Fierce webisode of MH, he sold me over.

The character you relate to the most: Red vs Blue Simmons. I infodump like it’s nobodies business. I get anxiety when things aren’t neat in certain areas, especially when I’m dealing with other sources of stress. I like showing off how organized I can get. Sometimes I get obsessive about it (usually collections). I can’t talk to people to save my life. I hate feeling vulnerable. I also make weird mouth noises (you know the one’s Simmons makes). The Adventure Zone  Honestly I can’t really see myself relating to a character more than any other one. I see my joy of life in Merle, my cynical nature in Taako and John, Magnus’s love of his friends and family, Angus’s love of learning, Lucretia’s strong headedness, Lup’s chaotic nature with a strong sense of morality, etc.  Monster High Twyla Boogeyman. Besides looking very similar to me in monster form and sounding a tad like me, she is an introvert that dislikes large crowds. She likes to observe others more than interfere. She’s very down to earth and likes looking at things in a more logical perspective. Personality > Beauty. She doesn’t understand how boy crazy her ghoulfriends get.

The character you’d slap: Red vs Blue Basically all of the big bads no one likes in the series (eg. The Director). Also Felix because that boy needs some sense slapped into him. As of recently, Doc.   The Adventure Zone Lucas Miller.  Monster High It got to the point that I wanted Toralei to get slapped because she kept crossing the line over and over again.

A character you liked at first but don’t anymore: Red vs Blue Bad question. There is no character I have fallen out of love. Even everyone at their most frustrating (outside of the big bads mentioned prior) is still a loveable asshole.  The Adventure Zone Uhhhh. Is there a character not to like in TAZ? I don’t think I’ve fallen out of love for any of the charas. In fact I probably fell in love with most of them even more than before. Monster High Toralei Stripe, maybe a little bit of Moanica D’kay. Mostly because I need breathing room between antagonist-like characters and MH struggled to do that. Toralei I end up liking and disliking and liking repeatedly.
