I recently came across this short monkie kid wild West AU fanfic

It's short but it's really good, And it sort of got me in the mood to sketch or at least redraw the two mystic monkeys cowboy outfits again

I really wasn't sure whether to give Mac, purple boots or just black boots you can kind of see it in the first pick faded Mac.

🌸🐎🐴✨But I don't think I've seen anyone draw them with horses or write something about it, so I'm going to be the first one to do it! (I don't know how to draw them sitting on horses, so bear with me here.)😗💦 I know I put the scar on the wrong side of the Smokey Horse. My bad, let's just pretend it's on the right side.LOL😅🪷

😽💕I headCannon that when those two summon their horses together, they get really affectionate. The sheriff's horse is more like a big old golden retriever, playful and mischievous, and rarely ever listens to its owner. While over here, Mac's is more well-behaved and obedient, and they can get quite sassy sometimes. I'm not sure what to call it. It's hard to separate those two, so they try not to summon them at the same time.

They're also very affectionate to the monkeys especially the opposite ones.🐶🐎✨💕

😄I want a scenario where they let the horses stay instead of just poofing them out of existence so MK/MEI can play with the horses just a bit longer since they were begging them by giving them the puppy dog eyes (especially on Mei's side; she's a horse girl fan), and after a long while, the sheriff notices that his horse Nimbus was acting a little more strange and protective over the Smokey horse, letting them eat first, and just never leaving their side. All sorts of strange behavior on the Nimbus side. All he ever notices from the shadow horse is that they were a little sluggish, but he doesn't think too much of it.😗🤠🐵

🌟Until one day, BAM! This little cutie came into the world as a precious, adorable little cinnamon roll, prancing around like it owns the world.🧁😽🌎✨

When you start dating, you'll feel more comfortable enough to get more relaxed around him, but it still shocks him how behaved you can be if you want to. He's definitely still used to you being all Impulsive and whatnot.

Sometimes he wishes he wasn't the Monkie Kid because it takes time away from being near you. But it's okay, you plan stuff every once in a while.

You got really jumpy and happy when he showed you his Monkey form, and he let you brush his fur for the rest of the day. Now he's like that most of the time because one, he can't really control it. And two, you love his monkey form anyway!

He's definitely thought of fucking you animal-style in that form too.

Ohhoo he loves seeing that stupidly pretty face of yours whenever you get all excited..

But to be honest, he thought you were REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING at the beginning when he first met you.

He only began to soften up a few weeks or maybe a month or two after realizing how much of a sweetheart you were, and that your hyperactive traits were just a part of what makes you, you.

Sometimes when you're in your room and you're on a call with someone, he'll send one of his shadow clones to listen to your voice for him so he can jerk off to it.

You go to all of his plays, and he's usually a confident guy. But one look at YOU? He's so close to accidentally stuttering on the stage he has to mentally slap himself to make sure not to.

His biggest turn-on is when you wear skirts and you're jumping around all giggly n stuff while he gets the perfect view of your ass.. That's why he prefers to walk beside you or slightly behind you to get that 4k quality.

main inspo I tried sticking with for all of them was something that wouldn't be too out of place in a kid's magical girl anime, specifically pretty cure. I just think its vibes mesh so well with the kirby universe that if kirby were to have another anime it'd probably be like that. So basically bright colors and shapely silhouettes.

I think the magical girl thing mainly shows in Kirby's design with him being full of frills, glitter, and a comically large bow. Those things just feel so Kirby and its not like he hasn't dressed up as an actual magical girl before lmao. I made sure to make it so he's got a lot of roundness to his silhouette which I think was a short coming of a previous design I made which I hate now dw Fun thing about the black tights on the arms and legs my thought process for those was to act as a stand-in for negative space between Kirby's arms and legs because game Kirby does not have those things!

Bandee is pretty vanilla as far as gijinkas for him go. I wanted them to have the look of someone who can move around a-lot, at least more than Kirby looks. I am very inspired by headcanons that place Waddle Dees as a species as being like the kirby version of monkeys (shout outs to Key Dees and Grand Dees) and I wanted to give a nod to that by giving Bandee animal looking legs.

Meta Knight probably took me the longest to nail down funnily enough the first thing I did settle on was giving him the world's doofiest shoes. Not the easiest thing in the world to make a knight whose whole deal is being cool still look full of whimsy. Some of my first sketches had all sorts of detail going on that I had to snap away because it just made Meta look like he had way too much going on. The big cloak is a call to the softer aspects to MK and it does good with giving him more shape. If close at his and Kirby's hair you can see a little star effect i splattered in there tee hee

Dedede, despite being the most no-brainer to design and draw is actually the one that I will probably go back to the drawing board with. Not completely, but was kind of at my wits end with this drawing 32 whole tracked hours n all, and I was ready to get it done.

grease monkey au is very fun

the prerecorded "Hi! I'm gone, sorry!" message that Wukong left in water curtain cave that MK finds in HIB, does it disappear after MK activates it or does it just deactivate until someone else comes along to kick start it again? because I'm thinking about Macaque trying to find Wukong after his resurrection and finding the recording instead.

The fake-Wukong's words don't exactly inspire much confidence in tracking him down, or finding him alive for that matter.

the macaque episode thing still happens, thinking that a precious successor that is theoretically the only thing keeping Wukong in his retirement by taking over the role is the best potentially hostage to draw Wukong out.

Apparently, it isn't.

Part of Macaque's increasingly concerning yelling and threats is the anger at Wukong being such a coward and not facing him for even MK's sake, the desperation on the other hand... is more so because its becoming increasingly plausible that Wukong did something incredibly stupid while Macaque was dead.

Another aspect of Macaque's desperation is the fear that he's too late to see his King again, no matter how improbable that seems.

So when this kid. This cub, is running around with his past best friend's/mate's signature weapon and powers like he's *inherited* them...

Macaque mostly agrees to mentor MK cus the kid beat him up. And to stick around to try and find any real traces of Wukong still in the waking world.

He can still smell peaches on the wind. He knows his mate is alive.

For Wukong, Nà met him with the help(?) of the lil monkey babies that live in the small monkey village just before the monkey kings (shame) temple. She enjoys hiking, so she takes her drawing materials and equipment with her in hopes of capturing all the beautiful sights she comes across - also to just wanting to visit this temple for the monkey king. While she’s there one day, one of these monkeys take it upon themselves to take a lil souvenir back to their king. Nà was determined to get her sketchbook back (any artist who’s deeply attached to their sketchbook raise your hand 🙋🏻‍♀️) , so in a wild goose chase she ends up at the front doors of his temple. I like to think she knocks on these doors in hopes of seeing a temple maiden, perhaps they could help her, instead she gets monkey king, in the flesh, thinking he’s getting his order of noodles from MK. Absolutely floored, she doesn’t know what to say, probably just pointing in the general direction behind him to the monkey that jacked her sketchbook. Wukong gladly gets the sketchbook back to her, getting a few glances of the subject matter inside… he’s intrigued. I would think after that, Nà would continue coming back to the monkey village, and the little chimps ending up taking her things to get her to come back to the temple. I wonder who told them to do that…

For Macaque, I’m still in the works on how these two might meet up. I kinda have the idea that they run into each other somewhere in the theatre when Mac is having his theatre kid moment there, and Nà taking a few jobs there in helping with set designs (multi faceted artist me thinks). They might exchange a few words, Nà complementing this mysterious storyteller on his props (and show). I feel like they won’t truly meet each other until the season 3 finale. Maybe Nà catching glimpses of a strange shadow at the corner of her eye at times at times when she’s hiking after that encounter at the theatre. Strange but doesn’t think too much into it ( the city does have a few demons lurking around but yknow best to just mind your business) Perhaps, while Wukong is under the lady bone demons possession, she’s been taken in by MK and the gang (when they’re with Pigsy,Tang and etc.) A strange first meeting, him all tied up and what not. A meeting nonetheless. Queue Mac’s onslaught of teasing. She might connect the dots later that Macaque was that mysterious guy in the theatre she saw a while ago.

Also lil interaction with all three of them at the end of season 3, Mac starting his persistent annoying behavior to Wukong. Who else was gunna watch her while Wukong was on vacation 🤨

Taken Xiaotian however, would instead be named Xiaohua. (Nickname still being Xiaoxiao)

It was pitch dark out when Wukong’s eyes popped open, the sound of the door creaking open drawing him awake. Keeping still, he frowned at the ceiling. Mihou was still sound asleep beside him, pressing tightly to Wukong’s side with the King’s arm firmly around his waist. Keeping his mate secure, Wukong listened to shuffling, moving through the room slowly. He couldn’t see them, so they must have been smaller than the bed.

Positive it was one of his children, just not sure which one yet, he waited. He heard the laundry hamper being flipped, pushed against the bed so the child could use it as a stepping stool to make his way up onto the bed. Moving through the fluffy blankets they crawled. Their breath was heavy through their little nose, unaware they were being watched.

Wukong peeked down by his feet when he felt a little hand grab his foot above the covers. He could smell the child now as cinnamon overtook his senses; MK.

His smiles, reaching down to brush his fingers to the toddler's head. MK was startled, jumping a little when he realised his Dada was awake. Immediately MK was nuzzling against his Father’s hands, his wet cheeks evident against his palm.

Wukong’s thumb brushed to MK’s cheek in the dark, his voice soft. “What’s wrong, bud?”

“B-Bad dream.” the child whimpered

“Oh,” Wukong frowned. He patted his chest to draw MK closer to lay against him, “We can’t have that now. C’mere.” MK was quick to scamper up to his chest and nuzzle against his fur. Wet eyelashes closed, cooing.

Wukong rubbed his boy’s back, soothing his little one. He kissed the top of his head, lifting the blanket to cover them both. “Such a brave Monkey Kid.” he murmured. It didn’t take long for MK’s breathing to slow, his little chest rising up and down as he slipped into sleep. Wukong smiled, drifting back into sleep himself.

A few hours later Xiaohua was kicking down the door, a bundle of beheaded fluff. “Xiaotian is missing!” he screeched. He paused when MK’s head snapped upward from his Father’s chest, fur messy and eyes wide. Xiaohua’s mouth fell open in absolute SHOCK!

“Good morning, Xiaoxiao.” Wukong purred. Next to him, Mihou’s head was lifting drowsily, eyes inconsistently blinking.

“Huh…?” he grumbled

“Sleep over?!” Xiaohua demanded. He patted his little chest, clearly left out of such a fun event. “Without Xiaoxiao?!”

Mihou blinked, too tired to really form any words, and just buried his face back into Wukong’s shoulder. He tugged on Wukong’s tail with his own for his mate to deal with this situation.

“Gee thanks.” Wukong frowned at him. He gestured for Xiaohua to calm down, “It’s okay buddy, MK just had a bad dream so he came here. You can come join us right now?” he offered, patting beside him.

He could see the top of Xiaohua’s little head at the end of the bed, heatedly walking back and forth. Grumbling and on the verge of a tantrum. “Xiaoxiao is peeved! Peeved I tell you!” The child declared.

MK and Wukong glance at each other, sinking a bit further into the mattress to try and flatten themselves, hoping if they disappeared maybe they could avoid the wrath of the jealous Xiaohua.

so since it's the 20th in my time, it is officially my birthday today!

But I wanted to get this out regardless so kinda count it as the previous day's ig

I will be posting something later today probably but it will most likely just be a compilation of all the cakes I've done thus far.

Ok but um on with the cake!

It's like a cheesecake and I basically copied Tengen's cake with like a jelly filling with fruit suspended in it, peaches (obviously), strawberries and blueberries cause I like them and sod it I'll put them on this goddamn cake!

The thing Wukong's sitting on is one of those peach ice creams that's gotten so popular lately with the sprinkle of pink dust thingy on top.

On either side of the cake is the fillet from the journey and the hat from the brotherhood era, one from his reckless past and one from his redemption and I just think that's neat.

The blue puffy stuff is meant to be his nimbus clouds represented as cotton candy.

I have the baiju jar in there as reference to Wukong becoming immortal again due to the all the wine made from the peaches of immortality at the festival.

The staff as a little candle was so fun! And I like pocky so I chucked them on there to fill space and it looks good so sue me

The grey thing behind the staff and balloon is meant to be the Buddha's hand that trapped him under the mountain and a reference to his imprisonment under 5 phases mountain.

Peach popsicle! Of course I had too! A lil something from the present for our (shadow) peachy friend

Mk's stone as well, had to add his son in there too. The baby ever.

The two sugar cookies are meant to be his logo (aka the lmk logo) and fireworks, again taken from Tengen's cake.

The sun is a candied/tanghulu esque orange thing. Like an orange slice coated in yellow melted sugar shaped like a sun and the phoenix feather cap since I consider it iconic enough to put in here. I didn't want to put it on him, blocking a lot of the decorations so I just hung it to the side and I think I'm happy with that.

A lot more monkeys here! It was very fun popping them in! I know I only gave Mac 1 but I mean Wukong's the monkey king for a reason. Let him be a loving grandpa and invite his subjects on the cake with him. He granted them immortality by ripping their names out the book of dead, let them have a place on the cake too

Also, yes that is the origami pilgims in the bottom left, I couldn't leave them alone could I?

Now the elephant in the room (or at least in my head), yes I did use @maplesleep's matcha pancake design for flower fruit mountain.

Cake on cake. Bit much but hey, I like cake and pastries better than candy normally so win for me.

And I couldn't just make cake about Sun Wukong without mentioning his home/origins of ffm. I do genuinely love the inginuity and adorableness factor of the pancake design and hope they don't mind me slapping it on my...cheesecake? Jelly cake? Jelly-cheesecake?

(also I have to ask @maplesleep, did you watch the 3rd emirichu anime cafe video, specifically the urusei yatsura cafe as inspiration for the 'sun wukong's strawberry sponge cake punishment' parfait thingy, gorgeously drawn btw I used those drawings as inspiration quite a bit for these cakes, or saw the urusei yatsura collab anime cafe

cause I couldn't help but notice the similarities between that and the 'shinobu's maiden strength parfait' cause if you didn't that be a pretty funny coincidence lol)

So what do you think? You think I could make it as another lmk food chef for lego? Can I join the club lmao?

I do realize in retrospect the disrespect I did Mk by making his cake so plain by comparison to his mentor's. But I think that's a testament to my improvement and attention to detail when making these cakes as the days have progressed!

I consider Mk's in particular to be the most lacking and I lowkey feel so bad for my boi for not giving him the main character status he deserves.

I might draw him again, idk. Not anytime soon though, like I said, I'm quite busy now more than before and I need a break, still glad I could serve y'all another slice of cake though!

I've been thinking about this for fucking forever.

If MK was just outright this little stone monkey statue, it almost feels like... well, basically: it kinda feels a little... too obvious, for a plot point of it's nature????

(plus, not to mention the repeated shots of a chip being broken off of rock)

So I was thinking, y'know. And I was thinking about how, every time MK has landed a big final attack, it's been seen from space.

And I'm thinking about how this one shot implies something was on the other side of the cracks;

(not to mention that this light is GOLDEN!!)

And I'm thinking about how the light coming through the cracks (as well as the... strange whispers), seemed to hurt MK, and knocked him out of Monkey Form;

And, just.

All I can think of is that MK is drawing his power from a larger source...

(There is, of course, the opposite possibility, that MK has just been missing a piece of himself from the beginning. It's not foreshadowing that something's going to be lost, it's foreshadowing that something's always been lost. But I find the idea of him just being a small part of a large chaos being a LOT more fun).

Needless I went off the rails with this one! LMAO

This became an excuse to draw Celarthur/Merthur content in different scenarios & and outfits. And I had too much fun with the designs of each one.

Sun King & Moon Queen AU:

Basically, I was watching Lego Monkey Kid and this happened! I really wanted to do something that really got the essence of the show. If you watch the show you can really tell I kinda (or a lot) based it around the Lady Bone Demon & Sun Wukong. And of course some classic Chinese folklore...

It is a total rom-com scenario, with the Moon Queen betrothed to the Sun King... they but heads at first then slowly but surely fall in love.

Sleeping Beauty/ Fairy Tale AU:

This one was really made for young Sir Arthur & Celestine... I couldn't help it guys it was such a classic movie. Malfience icon (she's definitely be Morgan in this Au).

Especially when I was looking for dancing references I kept looking at the sleeping beauty reference dance sequence the most. (for a project to be revealed later still a secret) So I had to give a shoutout to that of course, love how it turned out!

Super Paper Mario Au:

I think this one is my favorite one I always got emotional for Count Bleck & Tippi's backstory. Their love story is quite similar to theirs....they just fit the characters so well.

In all honesty, if Sir Arthur didn't have Meta to ground him... then he definitely would have become like "Count Bleck." Oh but just like Tippi Celestine would still love and forgive Arthur anyways.

And here is an Au relevant to the plot of KBASW... I did wanna draw out more scenarios relevant to the plot of KBASW but then they kept leaking out to spoiler-ish territory.

Next Scenario Happy Ending Route. (Basically, Celestine & Arthur are running the GSA and this is a daily occurrence~)

They still have to wait for...(Kirby is lost for a while and is found by Meta and of course baby imprints on him and he's still Meta's) They become this obnoxiously flirty-loving couple... MK's seen this since he was a kid so he's desensitized. They do get work done I promise ~ (LMAO)

This is where Celestine finds a cure for her " broken warp star" situation. They basically gave Gala the same isolation treatment (because he was supposed to be the galaxy's savior~). But Celty (secretly visits him as often as she can to ensure he isn't lonely.

After this time Celestine finds Meta in the Fountain of Dreams (before anyone could find him). The Ancients were so preoccupied with Gala that they weren't even montioring the fountain.

Basically, no one knew that Meta Knight was born but Celestine & Arthur. He's raised in secret at the temple. (They make a cute little family together ~) And Celestine would set up secret little play dates for the both of them.

A few years passed and then BOOM!

They manage to catch Icarus in his crimes for "forcibly creating another astral from Void." (Kirby was always going to be made but he came out too early due to Icarus' involvement.)

Morpho still takes his life but they manage to trace it back to Uther... The people are now questioning the Acients in their decisions and soon fall out of power due to the controversy. To save face they crystalize Sir Uther... (HA) but that doesn't help them at all~

It was during this time that Celestine properly revealed herself as Merlyn... WHAT!? Another blunder blew up in their faces...and the people immediately began to rally behind her. The popularity of her good deeds as Merlyn is what gets her into the seat of power.

Leaving Celestine in charge of the GSA (finally left in the right hands!) And of course, she takes Arthur with her as her right-hand man and well I think the GSA would become more of a light-hearted place after that.

(Morgan leaves, she doesn't fit into this hippie-dippy-happy place but she's not evil per se... she kinda just travels around as she pleases and she does find her happiness being a wanderer.)

Nightmare is still a problem but Nightmare Enterprise is never created, so it's not as widespread. So it's managed and the galaxy is thriving under Celestine's control. And of course, Arthur & Celestine confess their feeling for each other yada yada yada....

And of course, Kirby defeats Nightmare and that's it~

Spicynoodles Baby

She's got adorable lil hooves and a cute little bull tail, well it looks like a bull's tail but functions more like a monkey tail. How? I dunno demon genetics are funky. And her ears are velvety soft!

Hooves and fire powers made it not a very fun pregnancy for MK (he's very glad when the next one is more monkey). The streaks are from when he died that one time, I'm probably gonna change their position and color.

I want so badly to do more drawings of her, I wanna draw her with her auntie Mei and her grandparents cause she's so tiny compared to DBK and her adopted grandparents and her ghost grandparent and the rest of her aunts, piblings and sometimes uncles(one of em is gender fluid)! And when she gets a sibling! I have so many cute family ideas! But I have other stuff I wanna draw too!

The woes of being an artist.

I don't have a name for her yet, I'm open to suggestions! And for her future sibling!

even though Monkey Male (Y/N) was short he is super strong and a dominant one in the relationship with the Monkey king.

He personality: he actually pretty nice and calm and a good listener just don't say anything about his height.

Bonus: Monkey king is the only one who can say anything about Monkey Male (Y/N) height but If the Monkey king making fun of his high too much- the Monkey king will have a problem walking tomorrow.

(Lmk Wukong) Now I know he's gonna teach you for your height. Granted it's never malicious attempt but knowing him has personality he's gonna do it. He You remain calm because you know he's joking. But it gets a little too muwhen he gets into the way of stuff because of how short you are. You finally had enough when he purposely put stuff on the top shelf. You yanked them by his cape and reminded Him data don't even matter that his taller than you. His legs may be numb but he is very satisfied.

(HIB Wukong) Oh at least he knows better. You're the literal definition of calm before the storm. You are never like that with him. But he has seen what would happen if anyone dares to ask you or even talk to you about your height. He tried it You know? tried to tease you about your height and the next Day he couldn't use his legs😳😳😳

(NR Wukong) Man I know this motherf*cker will do it on purpose. Because he knows what's gonna happen if he continues to do that. I think he keeps a notebook of every short joke He's made towards you and though you love him. And he will never do it with malicious attack. It's going to get tiring here and say. How's the weather down there and all that sh*t But on the bright side to all of that, he'll be too busy Screaming your name to make another joke like that.

(MK Reborn Wukong) Man you always have so much fun breaking him. When you first met, he taunted you for your height. And how are you supposed to fight him when you are white five foot what. Your eyes darkened that day. And the next thing you know, he was on his back, Getting his shit rocked if you know what I'm saying. That was the day he learned to never speak out. A term like that less he wants to Loose's ability to walk.

(Netflix Wukong)He learned first hand how short Have the biggest attitudes on the planet. He first learned that from Lin, Then he learned that from You. But he was teasing you about it way too much so You came up with a plan. You grab some rope, you tie them up and went to town. He was blushing drawing and shocked at what was happening to him right now. And what shot the more was He didn't want it to stop. So whenever he wanted that extra attention He just has to push that button.

(Fun fact! The Flower Fruit Mountain monkeys are very likely Rhesus Macaques!)

It’s not that you dislike MK. He’s a good kid, really. He’s a little immature, and still unsure of himself, true. He’s a bit high energy and a little too desperate to prove himself, to prove that he’s good enough…

But he’s a good kid. Really.

He seems to switch between playing older and younger brother on a dime, happy to wear either mask as long as he gets to spend time with you.

One day he’ll be dragging you along to show you all his new drawings and staring at you with puppy-dog eyes as he hopes for some kind of praise or approval. Another, he’s rubbing your back to comfort you while you cry over not being allowed to leave Flower Fruit Mountain. Then he’ll wake up early the next day to bring back some comfort food for the two of you to share. And afterwards it’ll be right back to him showing a new skill he’s learned, eyes sparkling as you politely clap and praise him for his dedication.

He’s easy to be around, most of the time. At the very least, he brightens up whichever room he happens to be in at the time. Even though his endless energy can be a little grating, you have to admit- having him around usually makes things a little bit easier to handle. He helps.

Usually.

But right now?

This is miserable. And he’s certainly not helping you one bit.

You sit on Wukong’s lap as he ties a red ribbon around your neck, cooing all the while. Since you hadn’t figured out how to turn yourself back yet, your ‘father’ and ‘brother’ had decided that they’d need a way to tell you apart from all the other monkeys on Flower Fruit Mountain. The monkey demon ties the ends of the silky strip of fabric into a bow, and then flips you around to add a ribbon to your tail, as well.

All the while, MK watches with delighted eyes, drawing out the scene in his sketchbook.

It had been a surprise to both of them, seeing you transformed into a monkey, having learned the technique only by watching them practice and overhearing a couple of their conversations. Of course, learning to transform doesn’t necessarily mean learning to turn back, so here you were, stuck in the form of a little mountain monkey, absolutely dwarfed by your companions. A characteristic that Sun Wukong was delightedly taking advantage of.

“Hey, can I hold them?”

Wukong chuckles, and holds you out to MK. You get the feeling that he’s used to handling all the little monkeys around the mountain. He holds you gently, taking mind of your prehensile tail and your wiry limbs.

MK does not.

He snatches you against himself, rubbing his face into your fur as he laughs with delight. “Aww! You’re so, so soft! I didn’t even know monkeys could be this soft! No offense, Monkey King! I mean, you’re kinda soft, but not soft soft, you know?”

He turns to Wukong, gauging the demon’s face to ensure that he hadn’t accidentally offended his mentor. He receives a casual thumbs up in response.

With that reassurance, he’s right back to doting on your new form. He toys with your tiny fingers and brushes the velvety fur of your tail, grinning as he does. He begins to squish your face between his hands, watching your simian face contort in his grasp as he moves your cheeks around. He only pauses to ask another question.

“Hey, how long do you think it’ll take for them to learn to change back?”

The whole world freezes. Depending on Wukong’s answer, this whole situation could go from uncomfortable to hellish. But at least you’d have some sort of frame of time, a general indicator of when things would go back to semi-normal.

“Hmm… I dunno! I’ve never met someone who got themselves stuck like this!”

Pertaining to the last few asks, how would you rate Macaque and Wukong as a parent/uncle for MK? Do you think he was relieved to find some other influence in Reader and the other Pigsy’s Noodles people?

eh, wukong isn't a bad dad. he's very concerned about mk's welfare in a world full of powerful enemies that would jump at the chance to hurt the monkey king through his son. his training regimen is brutal, but it's good bonding time for the two of them. wukong is comforted by the fact that mk can keep up with him in a fight; means the other guys don't stand a chance. wukong knows his son wants to be a hero, and dreads the day mk may challenge him as a real opponent.

outside of training, the adopted father and son hang out together, have fun with the monkey subjects, go on adventures, and just generally get along well. mk knows his dad is a villain, but... he has a hard time believing that the one who raised him, the king who loves his subjects and his home, and the monster who destroys cities and countless lives are the same person.

a solid 7/10 on the caring parent scale. would tear the world apart for his son.

macaque is the cool, somewhat standoffish uncle who cares for his nephew, but isn't too terribly involved in his upbringing. of course he looked after the kid, watched him when his dad was busy, told him stories when he was little, took him on adventures he probably shouldn't have gone on...but he always handed him back to his dad at the end of the day.

he believes the kid should be able to make more of his own decisions and make his own way. he wants mk to be safe, obviously, but he also wants the kids to be more independent. macaque, since he doesn't have as much of a vendetta against mortals as wukong does, periodically visits the mortal cities throughout the centuries to keep up on modern human/demon culture. sometimes he would take lil mk with him whenever he'd visit human markets and stores (which would inevitably lead to lil mk's fascination with the mortal city). he figures the kid needs to know about the big wide world and all who live in it, not just enemy immortals and the mountain they call home.

a 6/10 on the cool uncle scale. he taught mk a lot of magic and shady fighting tactics, and was generally a bad influence (though seeing as his dad is one of the most notorious villains in the world—)

(don't know if ill draw it, but the cute thought of lil baby mei and lil baby mk passing each other in the street only to become friends later on came to me while i wrote this)

This was not scheduled XD But I wanted to draw something, so here are some cute MK interactions with the kids and a Wukong feeling a bit left out. Here is some context:

Dishi, at the sweet age of 5, wanted to be the same as MK and imitated him in almost everything, even the way he tied up his hair. Fun times until the kid decided to jump off the roof to see if he could fly... I'll just say he broke a few bones that day. Luckily, he is fine now.

DingBang grew up with a taste for jackets that began when, at the age of 4, MK wrapped him in his Monkey King jacket. He spent all day wearing the garment until he fell asleep, taking care not to soil it or step on it with his feet. MK got a nice photo of that moment, as you can see.

Hao is usually not as attached to MK as his other siblings, at least not like his younger brother Mao, but there are times when he shyly asks for some attention, and MK, like a loving father, gives it to him. Although it is sometimes difficult for MK to spread the same amount of attention among his five children, he does his best not to leave anyone out.

Mao didn't have an interaction with MK in this drawing, and maybe that's why his patience with Wukong isn't too much, sorry. He's usually not that bad, but when he feels left out or ignored, his mood becomes irritable, and sometimes his temper clashes with the first person he meets, and unfortunately, most of the time that person is Wukong. Ha ha ha...

BaoBao usually has her hair tied up most of the time in two buns, but when it's time to sleep, the curly mane on her head is released. So we could say that her beautiful hair was inherited from MK, although his is somewhat more curly.

I decided to be messy with this because otherwise, MK Dad AU posts will be sooo slow XP
