LBH’s still a guy and everyone else is the same gender too. It’s just SQQ that has the genderbend. And Shen Qingqiu stews over the fact that not only is he a scum villain and a girl, he's the only woman in PIDW that actually gets a bad end and not just tossed into the harem because Shen Qingqiu was just that bad of a scum villain that not even Luo Binghe, stallion protagonist, husband of hundreds of wives, wants to seduce and papapa her into submission like he did with so many other villainess beauties. And it's not the beauty that's the problem. Shen Qingqiu is beautiful. Like an immortal fairy descended from misty peaks to grace the mortal world. Just the type to fit into the harem. So, it really is a testament to how much Luo Binghe hated her that he tortured and killed her instead.

During the three years of LBH in the abyss, SQQ finds a plant or smth that can turn him into a man. So he eats it or whatever. Then, bam. Male Shen Qingqiu.

Fast forward to Jinlan City and Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe meeting again. Luo Binghe freezes and his eyes rack up and down Shen Qingqiu’s form, over his face and repeating the process a few times before stuttering out a very choked and strangled “Sh—Shizun?” Because just did Shen Qingqiu get hotter as a man?!?! (He didn’t but Luo Binghe didn’t know about his transformation and going through the shock of it and a gay panic at the same time. And they’re really close together so he can see all the small changes that are making Shen Qingqiu more masculine instead of feminine.)

“Luo Binghe,” Shen Qingqiu replies, flicking his fan open, his voice cool and even. And Luo Binghe chokes, wheezing out a breath at hearing not only Shen Qingqiu’s deeper, masculine voice for the first time, but that voice saying his name. Send help, this boy is not doing well.

He opens and closes his mouth a few times, struggling for something, anything to say.

"Uh..Um.. Sh-Shizun looks...nice," he eventually says, feeling like an absolute idiot! Of course, Shizun looks nice!!

"...As does Luo Binghe," Shen Qingqiu replies, feeling out of depth because Binghe is two years yearly, and why is he acting so weird? Shen Qingqiu's trying to find Luo Binghe's angle for this weird behavior. Is he playing the traumatized victim of the scum villain teacher? But, if he is, this behavior doesn't seem quite right for it... "Binghe has certainly grown more into himself," he decides to add. More compliments can't be bad, right?

And Luo Binghe's brain short circuits again because Shizun just said he looked nice!!

He lets out a high pitched squeak. Shen Qingqiu is horrified, wondering what is wrong with Luo Binghe. Why is his face so red? And his eyes are shifting around erratically, not focussing on anything. (Luo Binghe can't keep his eyes on Shen Qingqiu--he's to handsome to look at--but also can't look away from him. Seriously, he is struggling bad. Gay Panic: 3, Luo Binghe: 0)

Seeing Luo Binghe continue to look bright red, act weird, and his face look kinda contorted honestly, is making Shen Qingqiu worried about him and his eyes land on Xin Mo. Ah. Xin Mo must be affecting him!! Shen Qingqiu thinks, and calms some at knowing what's wrong. Then that calm is replaced by panic, because Luo Binghe effected by Xin Mo is never a good thing. See, Binghe! This is what happens when you rush your leveling up arc!!

Without thinking, Shen Qingqiu steps forward and lifts his hand to feel Binghe's forehead. Just as he thought. Binghe's burning up. Shen Qingqiu frowns and hums. Luo Binghe goes a bit cross-eyed and his face heats up even more at Shizun touching him. He get's a bit dizzy from it and sways on his feet. Shen Qingqiu's eyes widen at this and reaches his hands out to gab at Luo Binghe's upper arms, stabilizing him. At this, Luo Binghe lets out a high and quite whine in the back of his throat. Shen Qingqiu is very worried now.

Keeping Luo Binghe supported in his grasp, he looks around at the gathered Huan Hua Palace disciples, wondering why one of the girls here isn't rushing to help Binghe. That's what you're here for!! he thinks scowling, then barks out orders at them to find a room for Binghe to lie down in. While they don't really want to take orders from him, they do and find a room. In Shen Qingqiu's ordering, he calls LBH "Binghe" not "Luo Binghe" and it's not helping Luo Binghe regain brain functions.

"Come on, Binghe," Shen Qingqiu whispers to him, ushering him towards the room, "right this way. Can you walk or do you need this master to carry you?" Luo Binghe just whimpers which only worries Shen Qingqiu further and he hurries Luo Binghe to the room faster. Once there, he settles Luo Binghe on the bed. In all his worry, he's fallen back into Protective Shizun Mode that cares for his sick disciples (or Mommy Mode if you prefer). So, he orders the Huan Hua Palace disciples to get water and a cloth and lays the cool towel on Binghe's forehead who's just staring up at Shen Qingqiu with wide eyes. "Shhhh...It's okay, Binghe, you're okay..." he murmurs and Binghe whimpers again, needing to close his eyes. He thought Shizun hated him and thought he was a monster to be put down, but here he was caring for Binghe so sweetly and gently, his touches soft and whispering reassurances to him.

Shen Qingqiu continues to hover over him replacing the cloth when it grew warm, brushing his hair out of his face, patting and stroking his head gentle, and transferring qi to him to try and sooth the effects of Xin Mo. While this little...bout...wasn't brought on by Xin Mo, the sword is still effecting Binghe to at least some degree, so Shen Qingqiu is mitigating that effect. Luo Binghe can only lay there, helpless against the effects of his Shizun and soaking in his affection.

The System kept on giving Shen Qingqiu point increase updates, but they got so frequent that they were annoying and distracting, so he muted them. Shen Qingqiu has however clocked that him pampering Binghe like this and caring for him in such a difficult time is helping his situation and he's hopeful he won't be turned into a human stick as soon as Binghe regains his strength.

One of the Huan Hua Palace meimeis finally can't take it anymore and steps forward, "I can do that. No need for Peak Lord Shen to trouble himself," she says, barely able to hold the vitriol in her voice back. Shen Qingqiu knows his queue when he sees it (at least he thinks he does) and nods gracefully, rising from his seat beside the bed to let her sit in his place. The girl looks smug for only one moment before Shen Qingqiu stops and looks back down at Luo Binghe. He had reached out and grabbed onto Shen Qingqiu's sleeve.

"Shizun, don't leave me," he whispers so soft and broken sounding. He's utterly wrecked by the amount of emotions that have been surging in him, first from the gay panic and then Shen Qingqiu pampering him when he thought he was hated. (Xin Mo wasn't helping either.) And, Shen Qingqiu's heart just cracks at how vulnerable and broken he sounds and the teary look in his eyes, and just plops back down in the chair, grasping Luo Binghe's hand, not breaking eye contact.

"I won't. Shizun won't go anywhere, Binghe, okay?" he says without thinking. Luo Binghe nods and hums, a couple tears slipping from the corners of his eyes. Shen Qingqiu reaches out to wipe them away with his sleeve, one hand still firmly holding Luo Binghe's hand. And, while he hadn't thought before sitting back down or speaking, he can't bring himself to take his words back. Not when Luo Binghe is like this. He clearly needs someone to care for him, and for some reason he wants that person to be Shen Qingqiu. And, who is Shen Qingqiu to deny the protagonist what he wants? And his little disciple at that? While he knows that Luo Binghe is supposed to be blackened right now, when he looks at him, all Shen Qingqiu can see is his little disciple wanting his Shizun.

The Huan Hua Palace girl, though, not wanting to give up just yet, steps forward once more, determined, "Really, I--"

But she's cut off by Luo Binghe growling at her lowly and giving her a harsh glare. She's shocked still by it, her eyes widening and face paling.

On instinct, and so caught up in nostalgia, Shen Qingqiu snacks Luo Binghe's head and glares at him, "Don't growl at her. I taught you better than that."

Luo Binghe looks up at him with wide eyes like a child caught misbehaving, then mumbles demurely, "This disciple is sorry. He won't do it again."

And that shocks Shen Qingqiu out of his nostalgia and he realizes he just smacked. Luo Binghe. The post-abyss Luo Binghe. And scolded him like he was still his teacher and not a scum villain. Terror racing through him, Shen Qingqiu gently pats and soothes Binghe's head, saying sweetly, "Ah, no, it's okay. Binghe needn't apologize, he can growl all he wants." Hopefully that'll do it, he thinks while he continues to pat Binghe's head and fluffy hair. Luo Binghe just stares at him with wide eyes again, his face heating again as well. Then Shen Qingqiu starts fussing over him again and his red face, the girl forgotten. "Ah, is Binghe's fever back? Just lie still. Hey you there--get more water!" then turning back to Binghe and transferring more qi.

Luo Binghe continues to KOed by Shen Qingqiu until he's nothing more than the whimpering, sticky little disciple Shen Qingqiu remembers him to be. just with claws and a demon mark and red eyes and powerful demonic qi. and an evil sword. But still Binghe!! His sweet little bun that just wants his Shizun. (Binghe gets rid of the evil sword when Shen Qingqiu expresses his dislike on how negatively it's effecting him.) And, if Binghe wants his Shizun, then how can Shen Qingqiu deny him that?

Alec/Regent cosplay from "Worm"

This idea started with a song. It grabbed my temporal lobes with the first notes, flashed with the thought “Damn, I must have to film Regent to this music!”, and didn’t let go until I made this video.

Overall, I'm happy (at least I can think about something else, not walk around with my hyperfixation itching brain, and don't listen to this song on repeat hundreds of times, haha).

The shoot was dangerous, infuriating, and fun all at the same time. Well, like Alec himself, in fact.

Dangerous: location. Abandoned, half-burnt building, littered with charred boards with protruding nails and threateningly swaying half-burnt roof parts that were ready to fall on us from above at any moment.

Infuriating: children, teenagers, young people exploring this building - there were surprisingly many of them, every half hour someone came.

Fun: Well, cosplay is fun in itself. The dumbfounded faces of random observers. And a funny story that happened at the end.

All in all, I had a great time!

What I failed:

1. The color of the wig in the sun turned out to be too brownish-red, and Alec has dark hair. I'll try dyeing the wig and see what happens.

2. The scepter was made in a hurry, not functional, I will make another one.

3. The crown does not fit well on the head; it needs to be secured with something, but so that it is not noticeable.

4. I have not yet been able to fully convey Regent's motor patterns. He should move differently than I can now. I like some of the moves that I came up with, but many others are definitely not what I need. I will deal with Alec's movements, it turned out to be more difficult than I thought.

I wanted to convey the laxity, sloppy movements, and, at the same time, grace without going into femininity. But so far, I have not managed to do this mix as I intended. Some of the movements are too stiff. Part of the problem was the need to balance in a mask with limited visibility on a burnt fallen beam with protruding nails, with the possibility of falling on the same ones lying nearby. But is this an excuse? I need to practice more.

But overall, I'm very pleased with what I've achieved so far.

A funny story as a bonus. At the end of the shoot, I accidentally scared off a couple who decided to retire to an abandoned deserted (as they assumed) building.

Judging by their faces, they definitely did not expect the appearance of a human in a mask, unusual clothes, and twirling a scepter in their fingers.

For my part, I didn’t expect to see them either. Normally, I would be extremely embarrassed to catch someone in such an intimate moment.

But this time, I was overcome by a wave of unexpected mischief. I giggled, pirouetted to go out and chirped to them over my shoulder: “Oh, don’t pay attention, I’m just a tooth fairy flying about its business, consider that I’m no longer here!”.

I hope I haven't completely ruined their mood.

P.S. And, yes, the video is a little about me too: I’m usually a reserved person, but sometimes... drama happens.

I think Lucy was a tomboy before her mother died. I think she scraped her knees all the time, I think she wore shorts or breeches and t-shirts all the time and climbed trees. I think she mouthed off and couldn't help doing 5 different cannon balls into the pool until she got it right. I think she wouldn't be caught dead in a skirt because it snagged on the bark too much and she couldn't ride her horse if she wasn't wearing pants.

And then... One day... that little tomboy kid was crushed, the seed of butchness stomped out, she was made to be a replacement for her mother.

She lived in dresses and skirts, taught how to sit like a lady, taught the proper posture, taught that proper girls don't get dusty in the stables, don't play in the mud, don't throw tantrums when their father doesn't play with them.

She lived the life of a noble girl turned woman, and then she ran. She tried to become her own self.

But the remnants of being Layla remained, even as she fully resolved to never return home she couldn't stop... Not when she felt like the only way to be a good celestial wizard was to be a reflection of her mother. She never stopped feeling guilty that she wasn't her mother when it came to Aquarius.

Out in the world she uses that feminity she has learned like a tool. It's not something she is comfortable in it's something she is using to survive, to haggle men out of high prices, something that makes her that much more like her idols. It's an ill-fitting hand me down dress.

And one of her idols is Mirajane Strauss, model for Sorcerer Weekly, barmaid, softest smile in all of Fiore. A feminine icon. Maybe if she can be like Mira... Maybe she'll be good enough.

But here's the grand secret: Mira's feminity is a mask

So where does that leave Lucy?

At times Lucy catches sight of this sort of dance that Erza and Mira do. They perform the roles of a butch and her femme. Mira prepares the food, shares gossip, and flashes a pretty smile. Erza pulls out the chair, carries whatever's heaviest, and gives Mira a kiss. It's a show of sorts.

And then, at another point in time, she catches sight of Mira, who is sitting on the steps behind Fairy Hills. In those quiet moments, without the makeup that hides her eye bags, without the cute dress, without the smile... smoking a cigarette and sharing a late night beer with Erza... And the two look so alike that for a moment she cannot recognize Mirajane Strauss. For this small moment she really catches sight of the She-Devil, not just the rage that triggers her monstrous transformation, but the person she was before that grief, and who she really is after that grief.

She realizes what lies underneath Mira's facade. She sees that little butch kid in Mira get some air, get to breathe for that slim fragment of time and she understands. Sees the way Mira's posture changes, her attitude changes, her dynamic with Erza changes. And most of all the way that she looks truly and genuinely unguarded.

And Lucy realizes... That maybe she's just like Mira... Her true self is buried under 6ft of dirt... And that maybe she's suffocating herself alive

I say kinda because I struggle with dresses. And it's more practice for me. Man, I can't believe I was a winx kid that draws and can't design dresses. Probably a by-product of my "I'm not like other girl phases." Anyway gonna ramble about the designs a little.

I did the flower princess ones first because they are my least favorite gowns of the series. I think it's mainly the flowers, so I tone them down, having them being more like accents. Also forgot to design earings for most of them smh.

Bloom I had a lot of trouble. These dresses were used while they were "politicing," so I originally wanted to make Bloom look like her dress was from Domino. But I didn't like how it turned out, probably because Marion was my only reference for a dress (unless there's some background fairy in a dress from Domino. I'm too lazy to check.) So I went back to the general princess vibe instead for all of them. But if I were to redesign them again, I'd love to mix their homeworld's fashion with the typical fairytale princess look.

I have nothing really to say for Flora or Stella. But I wanted to change Flora's hair because I thought it was too casual. Wish I did something other then a bun looking back.

Skipping to Tecna for a second. I did base her dress off those "furtistic" dresses, which is just minimalism, really. And had to change Tecna's purple because if you grey scale the purple and green in the original design, it's pretty much to the same. I do like the color I chose, especially for the contrast, but I feel like it's a little too dark and messes with the vibe a little. Also gave her pants under her dress. I was just about to go on a tangent, but I'll just add it to the end.

Finally, for Musa and Aisha. Idk I felt like their hair didn't fit the vibe. I love them, but they didn't really go with the regal look, and more look like prom hairstyles. For Musa's dress, I wanted the front to be open and have her wear shorts. It just felt like a hint of masculine in a pretty feminine design. Aisha's dress really made me realize I need to look at more dresses because I was struggling with ideas. The rnd result is fine, but man, I need to work on more on gowns.

Anyway, heres me rambling about masculine Tecna. It has no real clear thought or direction and only losely ties to the redesign but whatever.

Hi to nobody, probably. If you are here you should tell me 👉👈. Anyway, I see Tecna and Musa as the most masculine. Musa is the most outloud about it, while you might not even notice how masculine Tecna is. Up until season 6, really. Tecna, for the most part, wore shorts or pants. Dress was saved for the gowns. Her skirts were usually pretty short, and something about them had masculine vibes. I can't quite explain it, but there is pretty simple I can almost think a few are shorts. Personally, I headcanon that Tecna doesn't care for dresses at all. Maybe if she has to, but that's it (maybe I'm projecting, idk. Granted irl, I'm not comfortable with dresses or skirts at all. So partial projecting.)

Basically, I think Tecna should wear suits instead of gowns. And Musa should wear something in between for that non binary energy.) But imagine a gender confused Musa going to her roomie Tecna for advice because Tecna is way more comfortable with leaning a lot more masculine.

Horror game protagonist guide Nr.2

Clothes

Clothes are the main focus of this aesthetic and follow a specific structure. I will divide this post into four parts: tops, bottoms, shoes and accessories.

Tops

Having the right top to construct an outfit is very important. Tops have to be long, ending below the waist. They either have lace, bows ruffles, empire waists or baby doll tops work too. Layering is also important, either having an extra lace camisole or a fitted button down under or a cardigan, or even a vest. The tops have to be body hugging which accentuates and creates a more feminine silhouette. Puffy, flutter or 3/4 sleeves work great but sleeveless top's can also be seen in media. Colors are mostly muted and neutral like white, cream, black, grey, brown, and for pops of color: muted red's, blue's, mauve's. For some more inspiration you can look at aesthetics and styles like coquette, fairy grunge, himekaji and roma gyaru. School uniforms are also a big inspiration.

Bottoms

For bottoms, everything is pretty basic. Pleated, ruffled, tiered or a-line mini skirts work best. They can have lace details, bows or even pomp pomp's. Mini shorts and capris are also popular. Capris can be layered under skirts and dresses like seen in some recent trends inspired by the 00s. Bottoms can have subtle patterns like plaid, polka dots or stripes, though it's less common.

Shoes

With shoes it is also very simple. Knee high boots are the most popular in media usually brown shades of color, they can have buckles or laces or even fur trim. For a more feminine look, mary-janes are a great choice and there are a lot of different styles, heel height and so on. Flats are also a great choice as well as loafers. Unfortunately, although most practical, sneakers do not fit the aesthetic.

Accessories

Socks and tights are a major key point in dressing like this aesthetic. Knee-high and anything above like thigh-high socks look the best and are the most popular. They are usually in dark shades like black or grey but anything works as long as you stick to the color palette. For tights, look for sheer ones or knitted ones as they can give a cozy look. You can also accessorize with garters, though they should be simple. Accessories around the neck are also very important. Lockets, pendents or small, dainty necklaces can really complete a look. Even just taking a piece of ribbon and tying it with a bow gives a very cute look. Any bracelets should be dainty.

Trying hard to desperately not break out of character, you giggled and replied as seriously as you could: "Thank you for bestowing this honor on me, Queen Schmidt."

Abby giggled and cleared her throat, shaking in excitement. "Now, I give you the honor of my son. Prince—uhm, Schmidt." She shrugged at you with a smile, then shifted back into her Queen Schmidt personality. "So you can get married and live happily ever after," her eyes wandered around for a toy suitable to fit the role. You gazed around too, "Oh, no. Is your son, perhaps, missing?"

"I hope not." Abby said, "You'll see him." she scavenged around and you sat comfortably. Until you saw Mike walk into the room, fixing the color of his sweater, unknowing of the world he was about to accidentally walk into, "Hey Abs, have you seen my—" Mike halted. "What is happening?"

"Hey, you can be the prince." Abby said, "I think my crown can fix you."

Mike raised his hands defensively, "Oh, no. I'm not good at playing royalty." he shook his head. "Besides, I need to go shopping."

"When will you be back?" You asked in your normal tone of voice.

"Three," he said. "Three-ish?"

"Ah,"

"Mike, please." Abby begs, tugging her sluggish older brother by his sleeve as he stumbles hunched toward to level with her. Mike huffs, "Do I really need to be a prince? Why not a knight, or something cool?" he humors lightly. His eyes wash up at you, and he can't resist giggling at your costume made from scratch. It was impressive what Abby could make with her scrapes of material and tape. "No, she's the the knight." Abby pointed. Amused, you respond, "and a princess."

"And a princess." Abby adds, "And a witch!"

"Oh. So, I don't get any powers?" Mike says dryly, though there's a scrape of playfulness wrapped behind his blunt demeanour. He sat up and shut his eyes promptly for Abby to delicately place a cardboard mock crown on Mike's head. Abby smiled, before replying honestly, "That's because you're lame. Maybe next time you can be a princess, witch and knight."

"Goodie." Mike was obviously trying to drag a laugh out of you with his dramatic tone. You could see his eyes twinkled when it worked. There was a circle of stuffed animals and dolls, all clad in an organic costume made from Abby's workshop of a room.

"Okay, now we have a prince." She discarded the toy in her hand. "Now, you two can get married. And rule The Rabbit Kingdom."

"Married?" Mike knew it was pretend but his face flushed. "I didn't know that,"

"I am a princess, and you're the prince." You explained, almost toying with him. Mike chuckled, covering his face in light embarrassment.

"Yeah, Mike. Catch up." She cleared her throat. Mike was enjoying it much more than he thought he would. Maybe it was the idea of marrying you that sounded appealing, but that was ridiculous. He didn't love you. Did he?

Abby grabbed a floppy cat with buttoned eyes and calico patterns, making a deep voice. "I am the priest, and I say, that—we are gathered here today to see a prince and a princess get married. And, well . . ." She trailed off. "I don't know what a priest says, so. You're married!" She dropped the toy and tube together. Raising her hands out dramatically with a fun smile. "You can kiss now. Like couples do," she snickered.

You and Mike got close, giggling and awkwardly talking over each other as you tried to find a loophole. Mike swore his face was as hot as a furnace, and your stomach was twisted with butterflies caught in a trap. Abby broke the strange mental tango between you two, "You can hug if you want."

"Oh, right." You gazed at Abby, then back at Mike.

"Yeah, we can do that." He said. And so you did. Falling into a tight embrace for a couple seconds. Mike wanted to be longer, but he had errands. Plus, he doubt you'd stay long enough. Abby giggled, "You guys are husband and wife, now! Awesome." she looked around, eyes plotting something. She ran towards her room,"One second, I need to get something! Don't leave, Mike."

Yet, as soon as she disappeared. Mike stood up with a grunt, sighing. With a gentle smile, you gazed up at him. "Going so soon? We just got married."

"Very funny." Mike's cheeks flared as he removed the crown delicately and ran his fingers through his curls. He sighed and grabbed his wallet that was sitting longingly on the tabletop. "Tell her I got kidnapped by some monster or something, I'll think of a way to sneak in."

"Well, you got the right girl." You walked up to him, grabbing the door. "I am a warrior too."

"You're very in character." Mike hummed. "Is this going to be referenced often? Is it gonna be a thing?"

"Maybe, maybe not." You chuckled.

Once Mike had left his house. He felt an intense whirlwind of emotions. Romantic emotions. Loving feelings and sick stomach aches. Mike knew he wasn't a real prince, nor were you the ruler of some Bunny Palace but part of him was thinking of a life like that. Not with royalty or talking animals, but just you two. Married. The thought wasn't too strong, yet. But it kept him smiling when he was shopping. All the way through.

as for why i started IDing as trigender/why i feel it fits, i've gotten to really explore what gender is to me as a whole/as aven.

every alter had their own idea of it, but once they all came together to make me, i had this like... sort of collective agreement. all of the feminine aspects of myself are definitely still there! autumn, maci, lyric, meridian, so on and so forth. i am comfortable with them being a part of my identity. i like being called a girl, especially when those parts are more dominant.

at the same time, i have undeniable masculinity as well. many of my previous alters were men or boys. alex, rey, finn, jukebox, caden, so on and so on.

and for a while there, i felt fine with the label bigender. hell, i mean theo (the arguably "most dominant" part most of the time and our longest host ever) is 100% bigender. equally male and female.

even the nonbinary parts still fit more "feminine" or "masculine" boxes pretty neatly.

but then, the more i reconciled my ritual/institutional abuse layer into my sense of identity and the more time i spent with them integrated into my understanding of myself, the more and more i realized i had a sort of... secret third thing. everyone in that top layer was very much nonhuman. they still are. a large part of that is because of dehumanization, but another large part of it is because as an autistic person i've always felt "othered" or "like a human a bit to the left".

it feels like i'm disrespecting a large part of who i am to not acknowledge i still carry those feelings too. those parts are still there. i've never been a huge member of the alterhuman community before because those alters were not common fronters and never talked to people really, but there are parts of me that still are attached to nonhumanity. i'm still exploring that, but i'm not sure where to start (i'd love pointers from any alterhuman folks).

the thing is though that it's less a trauma thing now and more of a reclamation. when i say "it/its" is one of my pronoun sets, i mean "it" as in how we refer to the planets or "it" as in how we reference thunderstorms or "it" as in how we speak about flowers or "it" as in how the sun feels on our skin after being in the dark so long or "it" as in the pretty fairy lights on my wall. "it" as a pronoun is empowering to me because it puts me at the same level as so many things that i admire and that i think are beautiful.

it's a distinctly third gendered feeling that is specifically nonhuman, specifically autistic, and just as much part of me as all the male and female parts. i'm so PROUD to have been able to reclaim so much and i am such a beautiful mosaic of pieces. trigender is a label that acknowledges all of them at once.

Top 3 Most Stylish Boys

Lots of stylish bitches around but 3 shall reign supreme, isn't that so? Well then... From bottom to top, y'know it!

Number 3: Tongrak (Love Sea)

He is a bit too preppy for my taste at certain times, but the drip is undeniable. I mean... Just look at him! He's got the money and he makes use of it! Be it the shirts, the jewellery, the confidence... He's never not serving some serious cunt and that's commendable. I wish I could be like him.

Number 2: Vegas (Kinnporsche)

Another rich boy. Some might say buying all the available button-up shirts at Stradivarius is not fashion but I disagree. I think it very much is when you know what you're doing and Vegas, no doubt, owns it up. Sometimes simplicity IS key to making an outfit work. He made all of them slay absolute penis.

Number 1: Ray (Only Friends)

Yes, this is a rich boy top 3, so what? Ray couldn't look bad if he tried. And it's not because he didn't. He tried different things throughout the series and he fucking rocked everything. He's got that retro look that fits just right with the Only Friends aesthetic and my fucking soul (yes, I do steal outfits from him, sue me). Might be a bit simple for some but you know by now I'm a huge fan of the less is more. Man knew how to carry himself. Devoured.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS: Tankhun & Tay (Kinnporsche); Ai Di (Kiseki: Dear to Me) & Wen Kexing (Word of Honor)

If I left our kings Khun and Tay out of this, I would be crucified dksjdkjdksjdk Although Tankhun's outfits sometimes are too much, he definitely got the vision. Cunt absolutely served. And Tay... Sometimes he lands on a limbo area between masculinity and femininity that I'm not 100% about, personally, but I do support all kinds of gender fuckery so it's a yes from me. I do specially love when he looks like a fairy tho.

Ai Di is somewhat of a simple guy but to go out on the streets with a gun, a sweater and a choker IS a fucking choice and I respect the drip. So much in fact that, aside the gun (I do not possess any sort of firearms), I too have tried it. And I quite enjoyed it so it's officially transmasc approved.

Finally, Wen Kexing... What can I even say? When a man pulls out the big guns (eyeliner) you know I'm gonna start clicking my fingers, ain't no other way. Plus the actual clothes were also a big yes, like, not a day where I didn't think "man, I'd fucking wear that if I lived in ancient magical China". Gorgeous.

favourite rwby's allusions?

thank you so much for this ask! I love RWBY's allusions and talking about them is always a pleasure! So, I have currently 4 allusions I would call faves. I love many others too, but these 4 are kind of special for me:

Cinder Fall - Cinderella

Cinder's allusion is at the same time obvious and very layered. The key to understand it is Midnight (best written episode of the series imo). There, Cinder's fairy-tale gets inverted. She is a slave who finds her prince (Rhodes), but is ultimately failed and left in the darkness. At the same time, Cinder's background helps us read her allusion in the main storyline. As a matter of fact Cinder's story is about the cycle of abuse. She is stuck in it, so her fairy tale keeps repeating and won't have a happy ending until she interrupts the cycle. As a result we have:

Salem as a combination between the Evil Stepmother (Madame) and the Fairy Godmother (Rhodes)

Ruby as the Prince (a better version of Rhodes)

Emerald and Mercury as Cinder's slippers (the embodyment of the twin swords of her childhood)

Salem is the Evil Stepmom masked as a powerful Fairy Godmother, who gives Cinder a new pair of shiny slippers (the Maiden Powers). Still, they are only a tool to manipulate our Cinderella. Ruby is instead the Huntress who dances with Cinder and will save her with her personal silver slippers (her silver eyes). Finally, Emerald and Mercury are the two sides of Cinder, her two slippers who will lead the Prince (Ruby and RWBY) to her.

Key to understand the allusion- The episode Midnight (+ the Beacon Dance tbh)

Favourite motif- Emerald and Mercury as the slippers

Why it is a fave- It balances its relevance to the plot with strong imagery and metaphors. So, it is easy to notice, but it leaves much to discover once you start analyzing it

Weiss Schnee - Snowhite

Weiss's allusion plays with the idea of "royal test":

White is cold and always yearning, burdened by a royal test.

Which is nothing, but a trial to see if Weiss is fit to become Queen. In fairy-tale symbolism, a princess becomes queen when she grows up and self-actualizes. So, Weiss's story is one where she blooms into herself. Initially, she is given two opposite examples of "queens":

Jacques is the Evil Queen of Snowhite

Winter is the Snow Queen of Andersen's story

Weiss's arc is about realizing she is neither. She is instead her own queen:

She does so through integrating the different characters of her fairy tale within herself. She is Snowhite, as such she is made of all the characters that make her story:

She risks to become an Evil Queen

She is an unsure Huntress

She is the Prince who saves herself

She is Snowhite, who grows into a Queen

All these sides are expressed through her summons:

The Queen Lancer is the Evil Queen who gets dethroned by the Good Queen (Snowhite) in the end

The Boarbatusk is the Hunter who kills a boar to help Snowhite

The Knight is the Prince who saves Snowhite

The Nevermore is the crow turned into dove, which announces Snowhite's final resurrection

So, the summons are different characters of Snowhite. Moreover, each character fits a different Jungian Archetype:

The Queen is the Persona (the mask she wears)

The Hunter is the shadow (what she represses)

The Prince is the animus (the masculine inside the feminine)

Snowhite is the self (the sum of all other archetypes)

In short, Weiss plays all the characters of her story and her semblance is used to metaphorically comment her arc and tie her fairy-tale to the main plot in a symbolic way. It might seem Weiss's story isn't following Snowhite's. Still, if one focuses on Weiss's inner journey it turns out she has already gone through the majority of the Grimms' fairy tale. Why it is a fave - It is very Jungian and psychological. Weiss's Snowhite loosely follows her journey in Remnant, but really shines when it is applied to Weiss's internal evolution

Yang XiaoLong - Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Yang's allusion is built on the idea of hot, cold and just right, which is declined in three different ways:

Red is hot, blue is cold and purple is just right. These colors comment Yang's arc and semblance. In particular, she is usually the just right (purple eyes), but when she uses her power she becomes too hot (red eyes)

Ruby is red, Weiss is blue and Blake is purple. This makes them Yang's hot, cold and just right. Together, they are the three bears of the fairy - tale, who welcome Yang in their found family

Yang is going through a process to find her just right. Still, before she succeeds she has to go through the too hot and too cold. In particular...

The Vale's arc is Yang's too hot:

Yang: Strawberry Sunrise. No ice. Oh, and one of those little umbrellas.

Yang goes to look for Raven and orders a hot beverage (no ice). She ends her search by finding Ruby (her hot bear). At the end of the arc she explodes in flames and loses an arm.

The Mistral's arc is Yang's too cold:

Yang: A water. It's hot out.

Yang goes to look for Raven and orders a cold beverage. She ends her search by finding Weiss (her cold bear). At the end of the arc she keeps it cool while fighting Adam and wins.

After this process, she has found her just right:

Still, I am sure Vacuo will explore this idea further and lead Yang's to her finale and truest "just right" as a character.

Why it is a fave - It uses dialogues and lines as motifs much more than other allusions and I find it neat. Especially because Yang is pun-girl and linked to knowledge, so I think this choice fits a lot.

Emerald Sustrai - Aladdin

Emerald's allusion is one that caught me off guard and now I love it! The key idea is that Emerald is both Aladdin and the Geenie. As a matter of fact Cinder tricks Emerald with the promise to fulfill her wish only to turn her into a slave. In general, the key characters and motif in Em's allusion are:

Cinder and Salem as the 2 geenies that promise to fulfill Emerald's wishes

Cinder and Salem as the 2 Evil Wizards that abuse Emerald

The Cave of Wonders as the cycle of abuse

The Lamp (the Relic of Knowledge) and the Ring (Em's own semblance) as magical tools that help our Aladdin out

In general, Emerald's design and basic idea tie with Disney-Aladdin's famous line:

"Only one may enter here, one whose worth lies far within... the Diamond in the Rough" (Aladdin, 1992)

Emerald is a precious gem covered in dirt, but with time she will find her inner value and discover what she truly wants. As a matter of fact her allusion thematically explores the differences between wants vs needs. Emerald starts by following an illusory wish (Cinder), but is slowly realizing her true wish and need (RWBYJNRO and Mercury). Differently from others' allusions, hers is just at the beginning and needs some kind of climatic conclusion. I am looking forward to ti! (Bonus if it ties with Mercury's headcanon allusion I came up with :P)

Key to understand the allusion - Cinder and Salem playing the parts of the geenies while referencing respectively a ring and a lamp

Favourite motif - Emerald is a gem in the rough

Why it is a fave - I love the potential of how the geenies and the wish imagert can be used in Emerald and Mercury's arcs. It can be very very powerful!

These are my 4 faves, but of course there are other allusions I love! It is just I have analyzed them less, so it is as if I am lacking a full picture. They are:

Ruby's LRRH- I love how it is intertwined with the Alice's one in volume 9. Still, I think there is much more to it.

Penny's Pinocchio- It is one of the most powerful allusions tbh and I would like to analyze it properly one day. Its ending being an inversion of the original fairy-tale is perfect. Here it is Penny (Pinocchio), who creates Winter (The Blue Fairy).

Jaune's Jeanne D'Arc - The Jaunidice's arc sets up this allusion brilliantly. The way it ties Pyrrha with Jaune's inspiration and personal God and how it manifests itself each arc with a miracle Jaune witnesses or performs is very powerful.

I also like Blake's Beauty and Beast's allusion, but I did not have to discover it slowly and it came to me as pretty obvious. So, I like it a little less.

I have yet to think about Ren and Nora's allusions, but I am interested in them.

Finally, I am super interested in Mercury's allusion and I am curious about it. I think its set-up is great and I wanna see how it plays out.

I promised, promised myself that I wouldn’t read the Roman König x Fee fic until it was completed because I knew i would get absolutely drawn in, wrapped up in your exquisite prose, then get addicted and suffer from withdrawals. Unneeded to say I broke said promise and welp here I am 🤡

Thing that surprised me was how quickly he endeared himself to me? A cock swinging village massacring brute that I was FULLY prepared to hate had me sighing by then end of chapter 3 with the “you care about my head?” ✋😩 YES I worry for your stupid head you adorable monster.

It’s uncanny how similarly Fee and I felt as the plot progressed. I know this is a self insert and though I made an OC for fee, you were able to capture the feeling of hate to curiousity to distrust to budding emotions on the readers side so beautifully and in only three chapters?? What sorcery is this?? I could go on and on about how I’m just… in awe of your writing skills.

It’s the small things too. The effort he went through to understand Fee, learning her language like he desperately wants to be a part of her. It’s just his delight in the simple things like having a woman and buying her pretty things. I AM GOING TO GNAW OFF MY ARM THIS IS SO GOOD!! I don’t know if you’ve watched HBOs Rome, but they remind me of Pullo and Eirene so much! Like you can’t tell me König doesn’t fit that goofy brawdy soldier who’s only hobbies are drinking and fucking and fighting to a T!

Then it got me thinking…. If König is Pullo then Simon is Vorenus. He has that straight laced, no bs aura about him. Now I’m imagining them both in this universe and please excuse me while I melt in a puddle 🫠

This is perhaps the best piece of fiction I’ve read in a while. I can’t wait for part 4, I have no doubt it will be wonderful as usual. Please accept my maladaptive daydream interpretation of Fee (first she was supposed to be a wood nymph, then the earth goddess then a fairy queen?? I’m not sure anymore. There was so much great imagery couldn’t settle on one. Your honor, we lost the plot.)

And yes I’ve watched Rome like four times at least! Every time I watch it just gets better, the producers and crew really outdid themselves with all the details in that series. It took so much time for Pullo to grow on me, I was so frustrated with his character but when he killed Eirene’s man because he was so in love with her and was just like: “Oh there's something in the way of our love? Oh well. *there*, solved.” Gosh I was IN LOVE. I’m sorry, I’m a horrible person, but I fell in love with Pullo right that second. And yeah König is kinda like Pullo in that sense! Eirene wails at the corpse of her ex-lover and Pullo is just like “Um, yeah nasty business but… why are you crying? Oh, oh yeah, oops. But hey, we could be together? Oh, you don’t want me? Damn. How come?” I wanted to shake and kiss him for being so dumb and adorable.

And Ghost is Vorenus YES, you get it 100 %! And the tragic love story of Vorenus & Niobe, oh god, took me about a month to get over it. And Vorenus being under the protection of Mars first and then literally becoming Pluto, the Lord of the Underworld… The mythology nerd in me is swooning over here. The only thing about Vorenus that's slightly König coded to me was when Pullo had to explain to him what a clitoris is, and Vorenus is like “How do you know this about my wife?!?!” and almost kills him :D That’s so so Roman!König.

But AHHH let me squeal about your maladaptive daydream adaption next: she’s the most gorgeous Fee ever, so lovely and feminine and yet, strong and possessing that earthly power in her. I love the color of her dress too!! There’s a lot of earth & water elements linked to Fee so that color (green to turquoise?) is the most perfect combination of earth and sea, while König is more like fire & air, coming from the mountains and slow to anger but when the fire rises, no one is safe...

⛓ Viole's Voice Claims! 🦂

Their Japanese voice claim is Miyuki Sawashiro playing Masami Iwasawa from Angel Beats! (one of my favorite anime of all time and a very sad series). This is why their singing voice claim is Iwasawa's singing voice from the anime (the singer, Marina). Note that links for characters may contain spoilers for the media they come from.

Iwasawa is one of my favorite characters of all time. I love both of her voice actresses dearly for this performance, but I think that this is only a part of why I associate this voice with Viole. Iwasawa has a mature-sounding voice that is somewhat removed from what she says (we later learn that this may be due to her trauma). Her somewhat pained line that turned into relief (the line from the video) is how I imagine a Viole who has realized they are allowed to feel their feelings outright without holding back might sound.

Their English voice claim is Brina Palencia, a voice acting legend best known for playing Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). Ciel is the character being portrayed in the clip that I have selected for this video. This quote comes specifically from one of the OVAs in which Ciel was performing Hamlet for whatever in-lore reason.

Ciel sounds a bit rougher/deeper than Viole would, but the general vibe of this performance and accent are very close to what I imagine. Viole has an old-school way of speaking that I associate with a British accent. I personally hear all the Diasomnia boys with this accent.

As mentioned, the line used in the video is from the OVA where the Kuro characters are performing Hamlet (dubbed). I chose this line because the old language fits Viole and because, similarly to Iwasawa, Ciel speaks with distance from his meaning and true emotions. This is how Viole carries themselves. Viole, in addition to having an accent, speaks flatly like Ciel does about half of the time and tends to have a general seriousness to their tone.

They do not express emotion often even if they can force the mannerisms of a "proper lady" into their speech when called for, Viole's style of speech is also simply how they are. They have been like this since childhood and are some manner of neurodivergent.

Even with those they are close to, like Yuuri Kawara (Yuu) and Deuce Spade (ship), they still lack the same emotive tones that most people would use. A vocal performance of Viole would need to convey a lot of emotion with a limited tonal range.

In the end, I think that I would still picture Brina's voice for it as I have heard her playing more feminine characters like Fairy Tail's Juvia Lockser. Viole's ideal voice would be similar in pitch to Juvia with Ciel's flat affect and British accent. The Brit in them is strong.

Hey! I have another prompt because I love you're writing so so much. Carlos is an omega but Omegas are almost always female. So thats how people treat him and it causes him dysphoria and he really is a guy god damn it. So Jay (alpha or beta) helps him reaffirm that he is male no matter his status. I hope this prompt is ok! This has been sitting in my ask box for three years, I hope it's worth the wait @darkprinceofdarkness! One of my recent favorite things about ABO fics are exploring the gender dynamics with alphas/omega and what it means to be a dominant/aggressive girl or a submissive/dainty guy. I think there's a lot to explore about the intersectionality of what it means to be a boy/girl with what it means to be an alpha/omega, so enjoy!

Carlos doesn't consider himself to be any of those things. Not just because he's from the Isle either. (Though Evie is somehow all of those things despite the Isle shaping her into one of the most vicious girls Carlos has ever met.)

But he's a boy. Carlos doesn't want to be those things, he isn't those things. But that's what omegas are supposed to be.

That's what they are in the magazines and in the movies and in the textbooks. They're portrayed like girls.

And it shouldn't bother Carlos, he knows Auradon is weird about gender norms, it's a conversation he's had many times with Lonnie and even a few times with Chad. It's so heavily enforced by the older heroes, those who are so afraid of change, but there is a new generation in Auradon Prep who know that boys can be feminine and girls can be masculine and those who aren't quite boy or girl can be anything in between.

It's one of the few things Carlos feels superior to Auradon for - his open mindedness.

It shouldn't upset him that Auradon wants him to be...girly. But the few strides Auradon has made with breaking down gender stereotypes haven't even touched the stereotypes with someone's role, their secondary gender. Even Chad, an omega boy with lip gloss and manicured nails, still quirks a brow at Carlos' callouses and grease stained shirts.

Carlos fits sometimes - his love for fashion, his adoration for small dogs, his dark eyes that seem just too wide when compared to other omegas - but he doesn't fit at the same time. He's got more muscles than any omega he knows, he flinches when people try to do his hair, his skin is marked with scars and imperfections, a history of a hard life that most omegas don't have.

"C? You good?" Jay calls from his bed. "You've been in your own head for a while now."

Carlos looks past his own reflection - he's been standing at the vanity for far too long - to meet Jay's eyes in the mirror. "I think so?"

Jay tilts his head, but doesn't move. He waits for Carlos to continue, gives him time and space to form his own thoughts.

"I don't understand why Auradon wants me to be..." It shouldn't upset him that Auradon is okay for a boy to be like a girl, but it pisses him off that Auradon expects an omega to be like a girl. And it shouldn't piss him off either because Carlos has never cared what Auradon thought of him, never cared what anyone thought of him, not anyone who wasn't Jay or Evie or Mal.

But Jay understands the words Carlos can't say. "Ah, like how Fairy Godmother keeps trying to tell me that long hair isn't appropriate for a boy?" He smirks because of course Jay isn't bothered by disapproval from authority, he thrives on it.

"It's not being a boy, it's..."

"Being an omega?"

Carlos finally pulls away from the vanity and collapses into bed next to Jay. "Their open-mindedness is really just another form of closed-mindedness. How can I argue that an omegas shouldn't be feminized without saying boys shouldn't be allowed to be feminine?"

Jay nuzzles his shoulder. "That's a big question that I don't have an answer to, C."

"It's not your job to have a solution," Carlos sighs and nuzzles right back into Jay's chest. "I just want to be me, you know?" He wants to be Carlos, who likes fashion because he just does, who likes mechanical engineering because he just does, who likes dance because he just does.

"So then be you."

Which is such simple advice and if Carlos could do that, he would already be doing that!

Jay seems to since his irritation with that answer because he huffs. "Fuck them. People give me shit for being an alpha and a boy with long hair and earrings and fucked up nail polish." Jay flexes his fingers in front of them chipped red polish that Evie did just yesterday. "There are so many things Auradon hates about us, we really can't fix all of them."

It's so much easier said than done though, especially with so much of Auradon expecting him to be the random things they say an omega should be.

His silence prompts Jay to continue. "You know I talk about you at R.O.A.R. practice sometimes, to younger Freshmen omegas, guys and girls who are worried people will give them shit for playing such a rough sport."

Carlos blinks at him. He doesn't understand how he would ever come up at R.O.A.R. practice since he quit last year.

"I tell them that you're an omega and you played for a year and that you did tourney for a year."

"Only because you were there."

"Dude, you helped score so many goals in tourney though. You were faster than half the players, you set up so many shots." Jay flicks his ear. "I tell them about how much ass you kicked, then Lonnie tells them you stayed as long as you did just to give a metaphorical middle finger to anyone who said you shouldn't. It makes them feel better, C. Like they're not weirdos for wanting to play sports."

"Are you just saying that to make me feel better?"

"No way, I never lie about R.O.A.R." Jay says soberly. "Or to you. I never lie to you."

Carlos punches his chest and Jay punches right back, not treating him like he's some delicate creature who needs to be handled with care.

"I know it's not a solution, but this fuck all attitude you have, that we all have, I think it's helping some of the kids here. Think of all those baby faced omegas who will look at you and want to be like you."

Carlos flushes. No one has ever wanted to be like him.

"Just be you, dude. Everyone will think you're just as cool as I do."
