Friends, what do you call the comme çi, comme ça gesture that Rook uses in this scene (for writing purposes):

Davrin: Do you think you can trust Solas?

Rook: Ehhhhh. "Trust" is such a strong word.

Like, "Rook made a [blank] hand gesture" or "Rook [blanked] their hand [blankly]" or something else.

What do you use? Because I landed on "Rook made a comme çi, comme ça gesture with their hands" and I'm guessing that's not going to land with most audiences. :P

"Comme çi, comme ça" (kum-see kum-sah, but "comme" is pronounced more like "comb"). French, means approximately "a little of this, a little of that." (Literally, "like this, like that.")

If someone asks you how your day was, you can respond with this to mean "it's so-so" or "I have mixed feelings."

Bird identification is so fucked up in a really fun way you can’t understand until you get into it. For example, there is a type of goose called the cackling goose that looks exactly like a Canada goose except smaller and “cuter”. The cackling goose is way, way, more rare in most places than its relatively common cousin, so it’s on tons of birders life lists. Everyone wants to see a cackling (look in any bird ID group to see lots of hopeful people posting petite Canada geese). The two species regularly commingle, so sometimes a flock of those common parking lot birds will have the equivalent of a Pokémon shiny just hanging out in the middle of them.

How ridiculous and fun is that? I can never look at a big group of Canada geese without scrutinizing their ranks for an adorable little extremely rare cutie pie cackling goose. It reminds me a bit of mushroom harvesting minus the risk of death if you get it wrong

Ame the type of guy to one day be like nah bro sorry can’t eat anything but plain rice and chicken rn or else I’ll fuck up my obsessively meticulous meal plan, and then the next day he eats like a wrestler trying to gain as much as possible before his weigh in, and he has no in-between. I love that he canonically is a work out freak and I love that he’s insecure about his weight teehee haha!!!

Matthew is just naturally fit because of his lifestyle and when Ame complains about his weight it really annoys him hahaha. I also think Alfred only complains to Mattie about his weight insecurity which pisses off mattie even more, bc to everyone else Ame brags about how much he works out all the time.

When I was living in Toronto I was surprised by how proud Canadians were of their WW1 and WW2 history/involvement, and I feel like Mattie wears his dog tags all the time. I think Alfred does the same, but he does it bc he thinks it makes him look cool which pisses Mattie off bc he thinks he started the trend first and Ame is copying him 🙄

I also think they both got shitty tattoos in the 40s bc I said so. Canadians are obsessed with their air force and Americans are obsessed with marines.
