Friends, what do you call the comme çi, comme ça gesture that Rook uses in this scene (for writing purposes):

Davrin: Do you think you can trust Solas?

Rook: Ehhhhh. "Trust" is such a strong word.

Like, "Rook made a [blank] hand gesture" or "Rook [blanked] their hand [blankly]" or something else.

What do you use? Because I landed on "Rook made a comme çi, comme ça gesture with their hands" and I'm guessing that's not going to land with most audiences. :P

"Comme çi, comme ça" (kum-see kum-sah, but "comme" is pronounced more like "comb"). French, means approximately "a little of this, a little of that." (Literally, "like this, like that.")

If someone asks you how your day was, you can respond with this to mean "it's so-so" or "I have mixed feelings."

Bird identification is so fucked up in a really fun way you can’t understand until you get into it. For example, there is a type of goose called the cackling goose that looks exactly like a Canada goose except smaller and “cuter”. The cackling goose is way, way, more rare in most places than its relatively common cousin, so it’s on tons of birders life lists. Everyone wants to see a cackling (look in any bird ID group to see lots of hopeful people posting petite Canada geese). The two species regularly commingle, so sometimes a flock of those common parking lot birds will have the equivalent of a Pokémon shiny just hanging out in the middle of them.

How ridiculous and fun is that? I can never look at a big group of Canada geese without scrutinizing their ranks for an adorable little extremely rare cutie pie cackling goose. It reminds me a bit of mushroom harvesting minus the risk of death if you get it wrong

I find it interesting that Frank and Leo are so similar, yet their similarities are what make them so diametrically opposed. They're both so insecure, and their insecurities lead them to lash out at each other. Leo is jealous of Frank, while Frank is jealous of Leo. It's fascinating to me. Leo teased Frank throughout the Mark of Athena, to cover up his own insecurities. But the teasing gets under Frank's skin, feeding his own insecurities. Neither of them hate each other, but it's just an interesting dynamic to read about. And it does help make both characters super relatable to me. Frank and Leo are some of the characters are really deeply relatable to be. So it is sometimes rough to see them lashing out at each other.
