hi. going to speak on something that's been bothering me for the past... however long, since it seems like complaint posts have been cropping up lately. putting this under the cut.

Maybe I'm reading too far into things. Maybe I'm wrong. But I feel like there is a massive difference in how this fandom treats the women versus the men.

Again. Maybe I'm wrong. I sincerely hope I'm just wrong. It's hard to think that, though, when I see the differences in how people treat the major antagonists of the series.

John Juniper is a fandom favorite. I feel like people have talked about him more than any other character I've seen, save for Agent Phoenix and perhaps the Handler. I see people come up with any reason for him to not actually be as bad of a person as we see in canon - despite the fact that he wants to launch nuclear weapons. He wants to kidnap and impersonate public figures. He's having a good time playing the villain. I've seen his actions excused in any number of ways.

Meanwhile... When people do talk about Solaris, it tends to be to remind people of very surface level information, rather than to do any sort of in depth analysis style posts. I see information that's incomplete or just not really true passed around a lot. The Fabricator is flattened down so incredibly often to just one character trait - her anger, typically exaggerated to be comical hatred of John Juniper in particular or just... Violence in general. And yes, she gets angry frequently, but I never see her given the same depth to that anger as John Juniper is given to his. And Prism? An antagonist that gets as much screen time as Juniper, if not more? I hardly see her mentioned at all these days. And even when she was talked about, I don't recall seeing many people analyze her character. Or talk about her motivations. Definitely not in the same way Juniper gets talked about, at the very least. All three of them are mischaracterized often, from my observations, flattened to pave the way for... John Juniper, mostly.

And that's not even getting into the background women who aren't talked about at all when compared to the men with similar story roles.

It's... Frustrating. I surround myself with people who enjoy the characters I do, who find it interesting to talk about the women in this game. I make the content I want to see. But the last time I said anything outside of those close circles, I was told to... Make the content I want to see. To engage with the content that's out there. And that frustrates me, too. Because I'm making it. I had been making it. I was actively working on Biomechatronic at the time. I was drawing, posting my art, and ever since I entered the fandom I've focused mainly on the women - The Fabricator, in particular. And I don't make art just for views or internet points or what have you, but it is discouraging to feel like the fandom doesn't care about what I have to offer.

Like whatever characters you want to like. I'm not trying to tell anyone to stop making the art or posts they enjoy making. But... I have noticed a trend, and it's one I find somewhat concerning. That's all.

Wrapping up today's events

Unfortunately, someone pulled up into a Leasebound fan's ask box and decided to submit a rape fantasy scenario between Shez (a butch lesbian) and Brick (a bigender asexual) to basically "screw the asexuality out of them."

My circle of Leasebound anti's still are unaware of any specific individual within our community submitting it, but we know whoever did it won't come forward to admit their bullshit. As a community, we have made it a point to declare that we do not condone the behavior of the person who submitted the ask, regardless of whether or not they were within our circle. Obviously, neither side wants to claim the person and points fingers at the opposition, but at the end of the day, we can't prove "which side" did what unless the person admits it / someone is able to confirm who it was.

While it may have seemed as though we were glossing over what was going on, it wasn't because we agreed with what was happening. It's because what was said in the ask directly mirrors the other asks being sent in about basically "fucking the gendie ideology" out of Blaire and even Eli (both queer-affirming characters). I say queer-affirming because they're accepting of everyone that falls under the LGBTQ+ spectrum.

I won't call out the blogs by name, but it's also not that hard to find their posts.

Something that piqued my interest is how these fantasies only came to an abrupt stop the moment a Butch Lesbian™️ got involved. Aside from Ruth, Blossom, Murphy, and Ari, Shez is one of the more prominent butch characters.

In the following screenshot, I pointed out this particular ask that one Leasebound fan received (the one who ultimately received the horrific ask):

Fan: "Fucking quick time event threesome at that point" and "The slapstick potential is strong."

I also sent this in direct response to how this mirrored what the fan received later on:

Me: "I don't want to hear anybody defend this line of thinking at all," "This is not okay," and "This has similar energy of corrective rape, if not, outright so."

I then provide the example by reframing the previously shown ask:

-> "Man has to keep giving woman orgasms to stop her from trying to discuss being a lesbian with her male friends."

Directly following this example, I pointed out how that sounds predatory as hell.

I elaborated further:

The fan didn't condemn the fantasy being portrayed, yet I gave the fan the benefit of the doubt that she maybe didn't realize the implications of what was being described. After all, even I'm blind to certain things until they're pointed out to me or after I've sat with things for more than two hours/days. It happens.

I ended by offering the fan the opportunity to explain where I may have misinterpreted things.

"You're also more than welcome to prove me wrong." "Help us understand your point of view."

And no reply was made to this reblog from any Leasebound fan that could defend their positions.

A fellow Leasebound anti provided more screenshots of other similar rape fantasies being submitted without a care to what was being depicted.

The fans continually deadname, misgender, etc. all trans characters, so that'll explain my pronoun differences.

Anon jokes about Eli's idea of sex, but then the same fan blog from earlier decides to create an... interesting scenario.

Fan: "I ask [him] if either of us is eating pussy that night and [he] tried to hide [their] visible disgust," and "I then ask if either of us is gonna finger blast the other."

This scenario on its own is already acknowledging AND dismissing Eli's discomfort of the topic, but then the fan pushes past an implied boundary (visible signs of discomfort).

Lets put this in perspective of if a man were involved.

"The man asks the woman if either of them were getting head that night, and she tried to hide her visible disgust. He then asks if he was gonna pound her."

I hope I don't need to explain why this is just blatant rape. Pressuring someone into sex is rape. No questions asked.

If you try to force feed someone a hot dog that doesn't want to eat a hot dog, that's violating their bodily autonomy.

This same idea applies to sex. If you don't understand this, please learn about consent, especially in the context of sex.

Do you see how often the word "solved" is popping up? "Gender" as a concept is so much of a problem that sex will ultimately "solve" the problem of it being brought up?

This scenario is describing using sex as a way to control "undesirable" conversations. Strange, isn't it?"

I know the terfs get a kick out of calling Leasebound antis braindead... but have you seen what yall are saying? And yall are the ones showing up anonymous in the ask boxes and receiving no repercussions. You claim these anons and don't have any issues with it.

But it all comes to a screeching halt when you bring in Shez.

I'm not saying the anon was or was not a Leasebound fan. That is not what this post is about.

It's about highlighting how it mirrors what fans have already been discussing during their own self-admitted horny posting.

I'll put it out there that the fan blog immediately shut this anon down. Didn't even entertain the thought of the scenario. Absolutely despicable in her eyes, and frankly, is despicable in my eyes too. No one should have sent this to anyone. This is honestly foul and, as I have repeated many times in the past 24 hours, I do not condone this and anyone like this needs to be barred from shared spaces.

It's also worth pointing out the term "manhandling" in this screenshot. Obviously, butch women are seen as strong, traditionally masculine, and more. However, there's something more nefarious with this term being used in this scenario. Manhandling directly means using force/aggression. This isn't even in a ~ooh, sexy~ way. No, this is straight up evil. I do feel as though the term manhandling was homophobic in nature, whether the anon meant that or not. It's not a good look to associate butch lesbians with being forceful sex pests. Lesbians deserve respect. Period.

I'll continue to put an example to further illustrate my point, but I'm sure you understand what's gonna be said.

Now lets put it all together

Fantasy #1: "Riley has to keep giving Blaire orgasms to stop her from trying to discuss gender with Jaden." - Fan endorsed the statement

Fantasy #2: "I ask [him] if either of us is eating pussy that night and [he] tried to hide [their] visible disgust," and "I then ask if either of us is gonna finger blast the other." - Written by the fan

And compare them to their associated examples:

All of the examples explicitly describe the woman as a lesbian because the root of the matter is that lesbians are the primary focus of the fandom. It's literally what Leasebound is built off of (aside from rampant queerphobia and even dissing some lesbians for certain traits).

All the examples feature a man because if you were to put a man in any of these scenarios, everyone would easily see how fucked up these scenarios were from the very start. Also, it shows parallels with the "manhandling" comment. If a lesbian manhandles another "woman," it's hot, but if a man decides to manhandle a woman, it's universally understood to be a fucking crime.

And within the fandom: If a lesbian fucks the gender ideology from another "woman," then they'll shut up about it.

Concluding Statement

I don't plan on revisiting today's event because I think everyone said what needs to be said, but I wanted to compile everything in one comprehensive post. I'm not trying to call out specific fans. However, this behavior is clearly being endorsed until a butch lesbian gets involved. Maybe don't excuse shitty rape fantasies and this won't happen again?

If you do end up finding out who these blogs are, DO NOT HARRASS THEM. I don't care if you dislike them. Trust me, I dislike them too. That doesn't give you an excuse to be a piece of shit.

If I catch any of yall doing some foul shit like what I discussed in this post, you're not gonna be welcome anywhere I am. Tbh, I feel as though you're a danger to people as a collective.

Be decent human beings for the love of god.

And please, don't publicize your rape fantasies. Keep them in circles where the average person can easily avoid them.

Does the new EE volume cover any of the job abilities or artifact gears we've gotten since ShB? Really curious about things like Xenoglossy and the afflatus spells

The only jobs with abilities and artifact gear it goes into are those introduced in Shadowbringers and Endwalker; Gunbreaker, Dancer, Reaper, Sage, and Blue Mage get write ups. There’s a 2 page spread of some Machinist weapons, but otherwise the previous jobs are not touched on again.

The book is very focused on the ancient world and set up for the Zodiark/Hydaelyn conflict leading to the plot, the First, the new regions in EW, Ardbert & crew’s journey and explaining the details of Shadowkeeper’s villainy (and why she’s so guilt-ridden over it all now cuz wow), and all the people, places, storylines, side content, holidays, and creatures we’ve encountered the last 2 expacs, up to the end of 6.0 (So there's no patch information). All of the 24 man raids from ARR through Stormblood, Bozja, and the 4 man dungeons of Shadowbringers and 6.0 are detailed.

But Not YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse. The NieR raids are entirely missing from the lorebook. Anogg and Konogg get short entries in the section with the other dwarves, but the last quarter of Anogg’s entry is blotted out (one of three entries in the book that are redacted; the Beavers and Other Ones in Ultima Thule are the others). I expect the raid series' lore is being folded in NieR's own, as is per usual with extra-game material for that series.

Also there's more than a little gender muckery going on; an unseen leader with no one sure what they look like or what gender they are. Giott from the ShB Role Quests being referred to as "they." Nutsy, of Clan Nutsy hunts, is suddenly using she/her (kinda sure it was he/him in game?? Have to check if they ever mentioned Nutsy's pronouns/gender before). The Loporrits have no biological gender, they pick pronouns cuz they think the people of Etheirys doing so is a cute "quirk." They stuck with the lore of Viera/Viis children not having visible biological sex traits until puberty (and then most of them present as female). This on top of what we got about dragons in the patch content (we knew about the asexual reproduction, but it's confirmed they really don't care about gender and also choose it out of a hat), and is emphasized in Vrtra's simulacra being of various ages and genders over time; Varshan's just the latest random model.

They also seem to emphasize even more that this book is written as if in universe, even with several of the secrets it does spill, noting the Scions' reports and information, and how much of it is trustworthy or not, and what the Scions themselves did not report on or redacted, which is really things like not talking publicly about exactly what happened to them--nor the details of the WoL's battles--in Ultima Thule. So it seems primarily to preserve some MSQ specific events for playthrough, and also to not simply blow-by-blow retell said MSQ. It also says where their accounts have been corroborated by other sources, such as when they note the Sharlayan Forum unanimously backing the Scions' records without caveats.

This also indicates the Scions are understandably not publicly sharing all the Traumas MSQ has put them through, nor some of the truly dangerous or simply sensitive information the main party is privy to. And adds a neat little twist on how some folks may be skeptical of the Scions actions, methods, and motivations for their heroics and what that looks like to the general public from the outside, and the people who have to collect and record these histories and observations, even if the evidence speaks for itself.

The devs do this "in universe" storytelling often, because doing so gives the writers wiggle room to make changes/retcons, as the IC writers of these framing devices and lore info dumps can be mistaken, lying, biased, or otherwise writing to their own agenda even while purporting to be as objectively honest as possible. It allows for flexibility in the lore for them, and makes space for plenty of headcanons for us.

I'll probably do a post on the Vrandtic language and alphabet, and Faerie runes, at some point as that's of interest for me in specific. For now, let's just say they took the easy-ish way despite going into detail on the development and proliferation of Eorzean Common in a previous EE.

Vincent: originally, i feel they were going to ask to stay with charles to escape their family rather than commit suicide, but after hearing bits and pieces of charles' own life didn't want to stress her out with an extra burden. if they had just asked, charles would have taken them in within a heartbeat.

In this story, all the misfit class will be there due to Sullivan’s personal invitation. Opera strongly disagreed at first, even after Amaryllis said she’ll protect all of them. Eventually they said yes after Sullivan applied multiple strong protection spells on each of them.

“Hey, Kalego, are you alright?” You carefully asked as Kalego finally looked at you. “I’m fine. Just tired.” He answered with a tired smile.

“If you say so. If you want, we can go a little late.” You suggested as he disagreed. “No. I already gave up playing the piano in the deviculum. I’d say that’s enough.” Kalego protested making you sigh at his usual workaholic behavior. Not that you could say anything about it since you were the same.

“Then we can just talk to Narnia and leave right away. I’ll make us a cup of coffee and we can go to sleep. Oh, or do you want hell grey tea?” You asked making him smile faintly. “Tea would be fine. I don’t think drinking coffee and going to sleep right after is a good idea.” He told you as you chuckled.

“Tea has caffeine too. You know what, how about some wine? You can drink some later and I can just have some tea.” You suggested as he nodded as in a sign of agreement.

Then it was time to go. The teleporting creature arrived and you two both gave it your invitations for it to eat and process. “Confirmed! Y/n sama of the L/n clan and Kalego sama of the Naberius clan! This way please!” It yelled as it turned itself into a teleportation door.

You and he both entered and arrived at the lost lounge. The two of you walked up stairs at the same time and soon, you two had come up to the front of the door to the ballroom.

“Shall we, m’lord?” You asked with a smile as he nodded and gave you his hand that had your handkerchief over it.

You grabbed it happily and entered the ballroom to see some familiar faces. Some had faces of interest, and most had faces of shock at the odd duo.

Who would expect it? Kalego, despite being known for his prestigious linage and occupation, was not generally known as a person. You on the other hand, was while well known in general, known for rejecting even the slightest hint of interest from anybody regardless of their gender, attributes, or rank.

(Ps, fem Y/n would be wearing a red wine colored dress, off shoulder with her short sleeves being very wavy, multiple layers, and frilly. Her mask would be mostly red with gold colored strands on the side. Short hair (Boy level) would have a hair ornament to replace the hairstyle, medium length hair would have the tip of the hair curled and long hair would have a low ponytail. I can't really do male readers because I am pretty sure it would suck. But if you do want to think of their outfit, then think of a black, or dark blue suit jacket, and maybe a white or black wired shirt with a large locket in the front. A black two piece suit with a cape on one side would work too. His mask would be black with gold strands on the side. But this is only for your imagination. The pronouns in this story is she/her.)

To say the least, you two weren’t particularly seen together. Or seen at all in general. To everyone, you two just seemed like regular, plain old strangers. And you two somehow seemed to have attended to the deviculum together! This was new gossip for the netherworld indeed. After all, what kind of a demon could resist fresh meat to chew on?

You chuckled to yourself as you and Kalego stopped near a pole. “Would you like a drink, m’lady?” He asked as you nodded. “You know how I like my drink.” You whispered as he smirked and nodded while leaving.

Then, all the nobles that had been curious came towards you, knowing damn well that they can’t expect any specific reaction from Kalego. This made you regret actually even responding to the nobles.

“So! Y/n sama! What brings you and Kalego san together?” A woman asked with a very unpleasant voice while you were quite shocked at how bold she was being. You believed that you had made it clear calling you by your first name was strictly off limits. Oh well, perhaps you thought wrong.

After getting back your sanity, you answered, “We’re married. Refrain from calling me by my first name. I don’t know you and I don’t want to know you.” You said while giving a glare to the woman as she gulped and nodded. “O-of course. I apologize, L/n sama.” She said as she quickly fled the scene.

Some laughed but it didn’t quite mask how scared they were. Some incredibly stupid people then decided to “carefully” ask you questions and you answered moderate questions that would stop them from spreading ridiculous rumors such as him being your concubine or something else equally stupid.

And after a minute, Kalego had came back with your favorite non alcohol ade. ”Sorry. Some idiots held me back and asked me some questions about us. Thankfully, none of my students did. I believe Asmodeus somehow restricted them.” He told you while sighing.

“That’s okay. Thank you for the drink. Glad you remember my taste." You jokingly said as he laughed gently, and somewhat awkwardly. "Of course I do. I AM your husband after all." He told you, and somehow, it seemed a little threatening to you. But that's what he was like all the time anyways.

You laughed while ignoring all the stared toward you two and talk to your lover about small and entertaining news that you hear sometimes.

A few jokes here and there, you truly enjoy your first deviculum together with your husband. After a while, the three greats and their grandson come out into the spotlight. A sight to see really, they are like mini versions of their grandparents! It was pretty cute in your opinion.

Sullivan gives his speech and you two start dancing. Most people have their eyes on each other. Some still stared at the two of you and accidentally stepped on their partner’s foot. That was honestly funny to you.

Your dress spun elegantly as you danced with your husband. Sometimes you even had to lead him for the sake of your foot’s safety! He had an excuse though, he had never danced in so long! He never had the reason to after all. Hey, at least he wasn’t completely new.

Then it was time to switch partners, you swapped with one of Kalego’s student, he had pink hair with red eyes, and he seemed to be the son of Amaryllis. The matching suits definitely gave it away.

He stared at you for a while as you smiled at him. He coughed awkwardly as he decided to ask the question that everyone seemed to be asking. “I am very aware of everyone bothering you, but everyone of my classmates including Iruma sama is wondering, what exactly IS your relationship with Kalego sensei?”

“Well m’lord, we are currently married. We were engaged at a very young age. Even a year younger than you I believe.” You answered politely as he blinked at you, shocked of the fact that his strict and rude teacher had such a beautiful wife.

“Ah, the song is over. I’ll be leaving now m’lord. Please don’t spread the news at his school until he admits it himself. By the way, my name is Y/n. L/n Y/n incase you weren’t aware.” You added. “..Y/n? You mean Y/n as in the-“ You ignored him and his attempt to talk to you again and left him after that.

You laughed as you saw the boy cutely run over to his friends and tell them the news. You laughed even harder when his friends’ faces went as pale as a ghost.

“Well well well, I didn’t know you could even laugh like that!” You heard a very annoyingly familiar voice yell.

“Hello, Baal.” You greeted, not even bothering to hide the unpleasantness in your face and your voice. “That’s one heck of a face L/n sama!” He said while laughing disgustingly loud.

You rolled your eyes and resisted your impossible urge to flip him off and tell him to fuck off. You decide to not hide the venom filled in your voice and say, “What do you need from me?”

“Ouch! That’s rude! I just wanted to talk to you about something!” “If it’s about me becoming a 13 crown again, then no.” “Come on L/n sama! You used to be one of the three greats! One of the three best!” He yelled annoying you to the end.

“My answer is final. I never liked being one anyways. Not without Delkira sama. I have no reason or need to be one without his presence.” You answered making him sigh. “Honestly, you and Amduscias are the same.” He commented.

“Oh I am well aware. That’s why we get along.” You told him making him chuckle. “Also, I wasn't talking about a place as a 13 crown member.” He said before leaving as you scoffed. ‘What's he on about? As if I would go back to even talking with them on a daily basis.'

Your annoyance disappeared the moment you saw your husband. Oh how interesting it was for the nobles. The two cold hearted high ranking demons seemed to be happy with each other! Laughable honestly. How ironic. The cold and ruthless, not to mention sadistic teacher and the guard dog of Babyls seemed to be happy! The two untouchable and emotionless demons seemed.. touchable.

You almost seemed innocent. Almost.

The 13 crowns looked at the two of you with interest as they talked. “Hold up. Who the fuck ever knew L/n sama was married?” Amaymon yelled as everyone shrugged. Even Sullivan wasn’t aware of this. His two graduated students were married?! No wonder you two were so close in the past! And no wonder Kalego was so overprotective of you back in your school days!

“None of us did, Amaymon. So shut yer mouth and stop being so loud.” Paimon grumbled as she sipped her tea.

Amaymon groaned annoyedlyas he drank his alcohol and the crowns talked about the two of you. “They actually make a nice couple!” Amaryllis said while looking at your back as she joined in on the conversation. “Yeah I guess.” Baal said as he came from the behind.

“Ugh! What brings you here, you thunder brat?” Amaymon yelled as he slammed his beer violently on the table letting a few drops spill out. “Woah, I just came to chat. You know, I talked to her about coming back to being a 13 crown member.” Baal half-way lied shocking everyone.

“Baal kun. I don’t think that was a good idea. L/n kun left on her own accord. It was her choice.” Sullivan said with a serious face. “I know Sullivan sama. I just told her there was always a spot for her.”

“You better not mean Delkira sama’s seat, Baal.” Belial said seriously as he laughed. “The idea of her being the demon queen sounds great and all, but it’s unlikely that she would accept.” Astraoh said.

“She would be a good leader though.” Henri added. “Now now everyone. Like Sully said, L/n kun was the one who wanted to leave. It would be out of our place to force her to be our leader.” Levi announced as everyone nodded. Along with Baal, who did it begrudgingly. 'Says the old lady that only got the spot because of her.' He thought to himself.

Then, it was time to announce the new crown members.

Everyone went to the front to see the 13 crowns getting ready to spread the news. Apparently, Behemoth and Glasya were stripped away from their title as 13 crown members.

"We hearby grant them the title and the duties of 13 crowns. Everyone, please give thm a round of applause-"

“Heeeeeyy wait a minute!! Objection objection objection objection! I have so many objections to make!" A previous candidate, named Zebubra interrupted.

It caught everyone off guard and it was funny to see everyone so shocked. "You guys go out of your way to invite me to this huge party, just for me to not be chosen... I mean~ that doesn't seem right, does it! If you want influence, I got lots of influence too?? Look!! Behold my charismatic personality!!" And she kept on complaining.

Then she asked Bachiko what she had thought of the situation. And that Bachiko stuttered for a bit before Baal stepped in saying he agreed with the idea. ‘Oh not him again.’ You thought as you mentally stopped yourself from slapping him.

"Baal you bastard...!! What do you think you're doing now, after everything is settled!?" Amaymon asked angrily as Baal spoke once more.

"Listen, Amaymon. I understand the need to fill those two seats with new demons. But, what if we open one more seat next?" And then, Amaymon asked if he was going to give up his own. "No. I don't need to.”

“The most noble seat of the 13 crowns, but most certainly irrelevant to the future of the netherworld. The seat which has been vacant for hundreds of years.”

“The legacy of a glorious king. Demon king Delkira. Let's replace him." Baal said out loud confidently, unaware of how many enemies in the room he had made with that single paragraph.

"Baal, you're way out of-"

The ballroom was suddenly covered in a bloodlusted aura. Giving chills to everyone. They all looked around and noticed the fact that this massive and horrifying aura, came from one person.

You.

"It seems you have gone mad these days, Baal." You said out loud with a glare as a large group of demons gulped.

"Oh, don't get me wrong L/n sama. I'm, not interested in taking the throne. I simply want to recommend someone. Someone more suitable for the throne than anyone else in the entire world. Someone smart. Someone.. much more powerful." Baal began talking once more with his obnoxiously arrogant mouth and tone.

"Baal-" "And who would that be?" You asked making Baal laugh. "You of course!" "Hah?" "Who else but you? You're the only person in this room befitting of a queen." He told you making you frown even more.

"Thunder lord Baal, regardless of the outcome, this is not a decision we can make right away. We have important guests with us tonight discussing further will only cause confusion. Let's talk about this during the next 13's dinner..."

*Crackling noises*

"That is exactly why.. The decision must be made now, in this moment!! Here, where we have all the high rank demons, the 13 crowns, and everyone who shapes the future of the netherworld! Do you not realize you are burning to ash beneath the light of Delkira's glory!? Why can't you let him go?"

"Be it the future of the netherworld or the trickster plan, you keep saying over and over that you want something "new" and still, you cling to the memory of an absent, ancient king! Listen to me."

"Delkira is gone."

"And he isn't coming back."

"Baal kun, the king-"

"Did he say he would return?”

“Or have you just been wishing for that to happen?" Baal finally finished. And anger rose from deep inside you. That wasn’t the only emotion inside you however. An unexplainable and vast amount of anger. Overwhelmed, confused, sad, scared, it all came up to you, like a gigantic wave of emotions.

And it was unstoppable.

Had he been right? Was he not coming back? Millions of questions came running to you, that you barely noticed the ground shaking.

You had, then noticed earlier than anyone though. And you saw, Baal smirking.

'That fucking bastard.' You thought, and the ceiling then burst open. And it revealed, the missing and previous 13 crown member, Behemoth.

The two people who acted first, was the border patrol chief, Azazel Henri, and the ex-member of the three greats, Y/n L/n also known as you.

As Henri threw him to the ground, you trapped him in a rope magic that only a Chet(8), to a Yodh(10) ranked demons were allowed to do.

Luckily, you were one of them.

And in less than 13 seconds, the incident was over. Or so they thought.

When Henri had questioned him, he answered as if he wasn't himself anymore.

When he had gotten free from the curse, we saw, what wasn't normal. No, it was far from normal. It was something that did not exist. Shouldn't exist.

In fear, the 3 greats only protected their own self interests and forgot about one thing. One person to be exact.

Princess Shura.

The guards failed to protect her and were wiped out in one beat. Iruma and Asmodeus acted as quick as possible and you beat them to it by using a speeding spell on yourself.

You ran to the behind and was about to attack along with Iruma’s and Asmodeus’s magic when suddenly, a barrier covered Behemoth.

You stood there for a second scoffing before laughing softly in a taunting tone. As if a barrier could stop you.

And just before Baal could act according to his plan, you acted first.

Your magic filled the air before you had quickly used an elemental spell to summon lightning and knocking Behemoth out from the shockwaves.

You used your leg’s remaining strength to boost up your flying speed and grabbed princess Shura with your arms. When you landed on the ground, you gently handed the princess to one of her guards. Then, you noticed everyone was staring out of shock, including Baal. But you could tell there was something more to the shock for him.

The crowd clapped and thanked you wildly as some of the crowns smirked. Everyone was happy. Except Baal. And that's what made you the happiest.

Oh, how happy and great it would have been for you if it ended just there.

"L/n sama really is befitting of a leader!!" "She really should lead us!!" "All hail demon queen L/n sama!!"

And that, annoyed you. A whole lot more than what you had thought. You held your fist and fought off another urge to slap Baal in front of everyone. If Delkira was here though, he probably would have allowed it with a howl.

Then, the princess suddenly then quickly speed walked to you and held out her hellphone before yelling, “CAN I GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER?!” Which was odd, since she barely spoke out loud.

You smiled as motherly as possible before saying, “You don’t need to yell.” The princess blushed out of pure embarrassment and awe as she nodded and handed you her phone. You pressed in your phone number ignoring all the panicked and shocked voiced around you while still smiling. The crowns could have sworn they were seeing pink flowers around you.

“Here you go. Call me whenever you want your highness.” You told her causing her to smile as big as possible. She ran to her guard and it sort of looked like she was waddling as if she was a baby which was so adorable.

You sighed with a smile of your own and turned around to look for your missing husband. You noticed his students all rushing over somewhere and decided to follow them, with a thinking that Kalego was probably with them.

And you were right. You saw the 12 kids other than Iruma stalking him as he slept, Bachiko, Amaryllis, and the daughter of Henri, Ameri, watching along side them with Kalego near the corner.

You sneaked up on your husband with an invisibility spell and stayed behind him waiting for the perfect moment to strike. You grinned smugly and saw how everyone was panicking except Kalego and Amaryllis.

They were asking each other about things they didn't see and suddenly, your name was announced loudly by Amaryllis. "Kalego kun!! I didn't know you were married to L/n sama! My son confirmed it for me!!" She yelled causing Kalego to glare at the younger Asmodeus.

He looked like he was going to burn a hole into his back! "Oh my, I didn't know the little Asmodeus was a gossiper." You said as everyone stared at you with abnormally shocked faces.

“AHHH L/N SAMA?!” “Y/n?” Everyone yelled at the same time as you waved your hand. “Hello. I was looking for you Kalego.” You spoke out loud as he sighed.

Your husband seemed shaken and scared to be honest. And that made you guess the talk didn’t go well. "Right, right... First of all, let's take Iruma somewhere else..."

*interested and shocked looks from everyone minus you and Kalego*

Kalego rolled his eyes and then whispered to you in a worried tone.

“Are you alright?”

“I’m perfectly fine. I mean the nobles were annoying but I’m pretty much okay.” “That’s good.” He mumbled and suddenly, Sullivan came towards you and the group saying that he will take Iruma home. That was the end to that. Until Sullivan yelled at Kalego this.

“Take good care of her!”

“Stupid principle!” Kalego grumbled with a red face. He seemed okay, but he somewhat seemed not at the same time to you.

“I have to talk with the 13 crowns. Can you wait for me?” You asked as he nodded in response. You walked over to the ballroom and saw them arguing with Baal.

"You imbecile! How dare you say such a thing in front of the high ranking demons?! You just had to give them ideas! TO THE PEOPLE THAT IMPACT THE NETHERWORLD THE MOST TO BOOT!! Do you realize how much trouble you gave L/n sama?!" Amaymon screamed out of anger.

"I for one, agree with Amaymon. You just put L/n sama in a place where she can't say no without gaining hate.That's very bold of you." Henri, disguised as Narnia said.

"Baal you are a bitch and a fucking dumbass." You said bluntly without any regards for manners as everyone flicked their head towards you. You stomped up to him and crossed your arms with a glare, towards him, and only him.

"Hello L/n sama." He greeted with a glare rivaling your own.

"It looks like everyone here except you, has some common sense. They know manners unlike you, you underprevileged asshole."

"Well I-"

"I'm not done yet. I didn't climb the ranks of the netherworld because I wanted to replace the throne. Without Delkira sama, I would have simply laid at the ranks of a Zayin(7) or a Chet(8). They get more than enough respect that I actually need. Unlike you, you uncultured swine."

"I JUST DON'T GET YOU! There are people out there who would kill thousands, and millions to have that kind of power! You have so much potential. You can fill up the void of the netherworld, you can fix everything! You are too ambition-less!”He screamed, shocking you for a second.

“Well you see Baal, a demon's ambitions relies on the person's feeling! Not anyone elses! Is my husband, the only sensible one here?! I don't want to be the fucking demon queen!! Is that something your idiotic brain has never noticed or learned?!" I mean, no one had seen you ever talk about your ambitions before, so I guess it is a common reaction. “I’m leaving. If any word gets out, you all know what’s coming for you. All of you.” You threatened before leaving the main room.

You headed outside and saw your husband. You fixed your scowl with a smile and walked up to him faster. You two had only inches between you and him before you grabbed him by the arm and went up to get inside the carriage.

You took a shaky breath before laying your head on your right palm. You looked outside the window as the flying demon horses flew over to you and Kalego's estate.

'I don't like this posture.' You thought as you moved your head to your husband's shoulder. Kalego then removed your mask for you and took his off as you drifted off to sleep.

This deviculum was crazy. Truly, crazy. It was especially bad for you to boot. But whatever it was, you were ready for it.

"You're no fun, Granger. It's just a regular party. There'll be no fancy suits. Promise!" Alucard wrapped his hand around Granger's shoulder as they strolled around the Tavern. On the way back to Ms. Clara as they were done with running errands for her. Granger wanted to get a good night's sleep, so Alucard's invitation irritated him. "I will not attend a stupid party and waste an opportunity to get some sleep." He replied as they reached Ms. Clara's bartending table. "Welcome back you two! Say, will you attend tonight's party here at the Tavern?" She gleefully asked, much to Granger's annoyance.

The fact that she was in the party as well made him obligated to join. "I will join for sure! Trying to convince this guy to join though." Alucard answered, snapping his fingers and ultimately making Granger push his arm off his shoulders. "You're making my patience thin out. Ms. Clara, please ignore him and lets get this errand done." He whispered to her, she frowned but took the envelope he held out and crouched down— Searching a cabinet that was under the table. While she was doing that, her young apprentice walked over.

That apprentice was you; and you caught Granger's eye— you were holding a knife on one hand and a plate of fruit on the other after all. "Ms. Clara?" She hummed and looked at you. "A customer requested for Commonwealth and I could not do it.." You grinned awkwardly as Clara stood up to look over your shoulder. The customer was waiting patiently, and she recognized them as her most loyal customer— Always ordering the one most difficult drink to do. "Ah, again?" She giggled and took the plate from your hands. "I'll take care of it. Can you find the box labeled Al and Gr on it? After you do, give it to these young men, will you?"

You nodded and moved away to let her walk past you. Then you quickly placed the knife on the plate and waved hello to the two. You started making small talk as you crouched down and searched for the box. Granger was speechless, and Alucard was amused. "You ran an errand for Ms. Clara, huh?" Alucard hummed, confirming your question. "Yep we did, you should have seen Granger. He killed those demons like they were nothing." Granger punched Alucard's stomach as you got up from the cabinet. A smile on your face, maybe it was from hearing about Granger? Or maybe it was just you being nice.

Granger accepted the reasonable latter and took the box from your hands. "Thank you for doing that for her. She's too busy to do her own, sometimes I wonder why the King always assigns her with difficult tasks." You slouched a bit after saying that. Granger felt pity for your worry but didn't say anything. Alucard commented something right after anyway. "We'll accept any errands she needs help with. And about why the King likes assigning her tasks like that. You should see her in the battlefield." A laugh left your lips before you heard someone call for you. "Coming! Thank you again, by the way." With that, you run off towards the back rooms.

Granger let out his breath and jumped when Alucard jumped up from the high chair. "You wanna reconsider? I saw how you looked at him. I can't blame you though, he is your type." Alucard's voice went up a pitch higher, and was sung in a singsong voice. Granger cringed as Alucard's voice broke at the last word. "Shut up. Your voice sounds awful." Granger muttered under his breath. Alucard pretended to get sad and skipped away, sword on his shoulder and whistling playfully. He stopped at the entrance and looked back at Granger. "You're not wasting a good night's sleep, right? What's taking you so long?" Granger looks up from the box and follows him out of the Tavern. Maybe he'll prove Alucard right, just this time.

Hours have passed since Granger last went to the Tavern, and it was nearly midnight. He barely remembered what time the party took place, but seeing the countless colors from the windows; he wasn't late. Nor was he early, since as soon as he opened the door. The place was crowded and a mess. Harley was performing magic tricks on stage, Lesley was watching over him and you— you were somewhere else. That disappointed him. He only attended to see you but-..

A voice from the loudspeaker caught his attention. "Everyone! Please clap your hands for the one and only! Ms. Clara with her signature tricks and magic!" Everyone cheered, gathering around the stage as Granger searched for your purple tie on the stage. He saw you behind the curtains and sneaked past the crowd, towards the small stairs where he quickly climbed up it and called out your name. "Granger? I thought Ms. Clara said you weren't coming." You say upon seeing him.

"I changed my mind. Even though I hate proving Alucard right." He admitted, his heart skipped a beat when he saw your smiling face. The crowd in front cheered for Ms. Clara while you mumbled something he couldn't hear. "What was that?" He asked you to repeat. "Would you like me to make you a drink? It's more quiet there." He thought about your offer, but eventually nodded after a few moments. Seeing your eyes light up made him hide a smile. He followed you on the way to the bartending table and sat down on the high chair. You took a menu and slid it over to him with a wink.

"I recommend a Soda to start off. But I won't be surprised if you could handle a hard drink already." You teased, leaning against the table as Granger picks up the menu. His heart stopped for a second before his eyes scanned the menu. The pleasing colors and photos made it easy for him to choose, and he wonders who made the creative menu as it wasn't Ms. Clara's style. "Well? Have you chosen?" You asked him, he looked up from the menu and nodded. "A Cosmopolitan, please." You raised a brow and took the menu back. "Great choice. Would you like anything on the side?"

Granger shook his head. With that, you got to work; You grab a cocktail shaker and turned around to grab a vodka bottle. Granger was in awe at how quick and precise you poured each ingredient in the shaker. He was impressed, even. And he was definitely not guilty for proving Alucard right. He didn't notice his eyes has wandered until he found himself oggling your waist. He shook his head as you turned around with his drink. You were curious at why he looked nervous, but brushed it off as you placed the drink in front of him. "First drink at a party's on the house."

Granger looked at you and hummed. "Isn't every drink on the house?" Your face flushed, and you nodded awkwardly with a laugh. "I forgot.. I have been serving too many drinks." Granger took his first sip on the drink and closes his eyes at the taste. The sweet and tang flavour soothed his throat, and the vodka went straight towards his head. He placed the glass down and closed his eyes. Giving you the chance to admire the scars that were on his face. Your heart started beating faster when he opened his eyes and met your gaze. You saved yourself from the humiliation by blurting out a question; "Tastes good?"

Granger hummed in approval. Keeping eye contact and making your cool falter. You looked away and stood up straight. "I want to ask, are you interested in tending a bartender?" You flushed even more after your poor choice of words and covered your face in shame. Granger chuckled in amusement after taking another sip. "I will gladly tend you if you want." You had to do a double take at what he said. "Excuse me?" Granger stood up and raised his drink. "The vodka is making my mind fuzzy, forgive me." He said to you. Offering the drink as an apology.

You smiled and took a sip after leaning close to his drink. The taste was delicious. No one would bat an eye as to why he ordered that. "If you haven't drunk this, I would have thought you were flirting with me." You said to him. He smirked and held the glass out yet again. "If I was?" Your heart stopped, the cheering drowned out by a ringing in your ear as you went autopilot— leaning close to the glass; Expecting to taste the Cosmopolitan again until you felt lips on yours. None of you pulled away until a loud thud made the both of you jump.

You laughed at that, but Granger was indifferent. "Jeez, we barely even went on a date first." Granger longed for more, despite what you had said. He moved towards the side and lifted the wood that separated the chairs and the tending table before walking over to you— You however were frozen in place. A quick preface: I don't consider a character's identity (queer or otherwise) to be a spoiler unless their arc involves discovering it. Still, I'll put it under the cut if anyone thinks of it as a spoiler.

1. What's your oc's gender identity? What's their relationship to their gender?

I've answered this for Ianim (cis man) and Varré (NB) here. The others from the main cast of Days of Dusk are:

Lissan and Gullin - they're men, and I've written them as being cis, but it's not exactly 100% confirmed on page.

Anthea is a trans woman, also quite femme - possibly because I just love tall women in long, flowing gowns.

Erya is a butch woman and not particularly attached to her gender identity. She'll use she/her pronouns in her POV most of the time, but will be quite happy if people use they/them for her. If anyone uses 'he/him', her reaction is most likely to be 'huh? whatever...'

And as an aside, I've found it really hard to out any characters as trans without a shadow of doubt. Honestly, it's only specified for Anthea and Ianim because at some point they have the awkward conversation about marriage and children. So for anyone else, have at it with headcanons.

9. Are there cultural or lore specific aspects to their identity? If applicable, does their species affect it?

I've also answered it for the Sunblessed Realm here (and that doesn't change by The Truth Teller times), so let me talk about my favourite petri dish of The Fulcrum.

In the holy city, especially in the protagonist's caste, avians don't even have names, let alone any room for gender expression. The priests control the population quite tightly - if it grows too much, they won't have enough resources to feed everyone, and if it gets too small, it won't sustain itself. The avians living there are classified according to their egg-laying/fertilising/neither capabilities.

Needless to say, I couldn't get the protag out of there fast enough. Now ... has a whole world to explore.

Scout, as I've mentioned, is trans (ftm) and bisexual. Because, yeah. Mhm. He's into comics, specifically superhero ones like Marvel and Dc. He loves Spider-Man, Captain America, and Shazam. He started transitioning when he was 20. His mother was always supportive of him, plus she knew, he was super masculine when he was young, influenced by all his older brothers, plus, he never really liked the feeling of being a woman anyway. Pyro is transfem, I usually use he/they for them in my work, but that's cause I don't usually put my headcannons in my work. But I think I'll start doing that :)

Pyro uses any pronouns, likes mlp duh, and also has a weird obsession with motorcycles, totally random but it started when engie got him a motorbike one day and then she got super into it.

Soldier doesn't realize it, or cares, but he's pan. Made out with demoman a bunch drunk at a party so everyone knows, but he doesn't ever remember. When asked if he swings both ways, he will give you a slightly confused look. "YES! I GO LEFT, AND RIGHT. WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT?" (He/him)

Demo is bi, that man cannot be straight I'm sorry. Bi, kissed a boy once as a teenager and since then on he's had very strong feelings about men. Feel like he would be kind of androgynous in terms of how he dresses if he had the chance to, idk.

Heavy, I feel like would be demiromantic bicurious? like he's thought about it, he doesn't really get along with much people on a personal level, due to him always having to work, and always being feared. And he's had feelings for men, he just always sorta, denied it? in denial, even though the closet is made out of glass.

Heavy likes to woodcarve, and weirdly i think if he tried, hed be good at painting. (He/him)

Engineer is trans (real.) ftm, pansexual. He started transitioning when he was a bit older. His parents weren't supportive at first, but in the end, were proud of the man he became. He likes those wooden sets you buy where you construct your own object with wood! (Music boxes, animals, buildings, I did one of these, it was a music box, and I definitely know he'd like it as a stress reliever or gift. (Any pronouns)

Medic is not straight don't start w me. Androsexual, (if you don't know, androsexuality is being attracted to anything masculine no matter the gender. The opposite is gynosexual, attracted to anything feminine no matter the gender.) He's into masculinity, me thinks.

Likes bird watching and has a weird interest in the strange and unknown, like if YouTube existed he'd be the type to watch those long documentaries on the sea while he works or something. (Any pronouns, but mostly refers to himself as he.)

Sniper, panromantic demisexual. Don't know how to explain, so won't. Also likes to carve with wood, discusses it with Heavy a lot. Started when he was a kid, he'd get bored, go to the woods, and just carve a bunch of stuff. He also likes sweets. won't explain. (Any pronouns)

Spy is bisexual, genderqueer (omg same) does not gaf abt his gender bro, she'd look stunning in a dress. Has an interest in corny poetry, would never admit it, but it's true. (Any pronouns, but mostly He/She)

All pronouns are not required to be used by characters unless stated otherwise, have fun tweaking or adding on!

Sans hasn’t really questioned his gender. He doesn’t feel happy OR sad when he hears he/him. It feels right yeah, but he feels neutral about them. I don’t think he would mind with any other pronouns, it would be a bit huh? but at the end of the day he’s not gonna feel bad about them unless it/its. He uses He/him.

Papyrus is too young to have even considered the idea that he’s not male. He/him.

Asriel is, you guessed it, he/him. Sorry y'all. I’m infamous for making all my characters queer but not right now.

Chara uses they/it. They’re referred to by them a lot, but some pepper it in. They don’t mind if you call them exclusively by one or the other. Chara is canonically non-binary (not as in the gender itself, but as in outside the binary) in underjumble, and you may not refer to them using he or she. Any others are fine.

Napstablook is a little silly they/them! They will not correct you if you don’t use the right pronouns due to anxiety, though, so I won’t take it as misgendering if any character uses pronouns other than that, since it’s usually Mettaton standing up for them. Napstablook is a bit ambiguous because although they use they/them they are a demiboy, so I will accept using he. Just, don’t make them into a he/him only, okay? I want to respect their original pronouns.

Mettaton is a he/him. Specifically, a trans he/him! :D I would prefer if you kept part of his masculine pronouns, but he’s not outright confirmed to be trans in undertale, so I won’t keep that rule with an iron fist.

Maddie, like in canon, is a trans she/her catgirl. You cannot use he for her.

Toriel is a she/her

Asgore is he/him. Sorry but he’s the embodiment of a 40-50 year old divorced depressed cishet dad. Love him though!

hi. i think i've said before that i want to make a post like this soooo yeah here it is! get ready because this is gonna be a long post.

also before we get started, i just want to say that. um. i like to pretend that i know a lot about mbti, but i actually still don't know much about it, so if these characters' mbti types sound inaccurate, i chose them based on their letters and overall vibes jsksklsls also i just went on personality database, looked at some characters and was like "yeah my ocs would kin them"

also [2], the love languages part mentions how these characters like to show their love and affection and in this case it's mostly romantic, but they would show platonic love in almost the same way. and again, it's mostly romantic, except for asahi's part because he's a bit too young for that and also i see one of the characters being demiromantic + asexual, so their part is both romantic and platonic and mentions both their possible friend and their possible partner.

speaking of sexualities, i'm usually not a fan of assigning specific labels to my ocs because the way i see them changes all the time, so i just used they/them pronouns to refer to their partners and mentioned their gender preferences. it doesn't mean that they wouldn't date someone of a different gender, it's just there to show who they usually date. you can interpret their sexualities in any way you want, really, just don't ignore information about who they like in canon, like miki canonically being interested in boys, eiko dating a guy, etc. other than that, i'm cool with any headcanons, haha.

Akio: INTJ (I don't think I have to explain this one, it sounds a lot like him! I thought that maybe he also could be an INTP or an ISTJ, but I personally think he has more "Intuitive" and "Judging" vibes)

Aimi: ENFP (Look at her. She's an ENFP, your honor. She really wants to get along with everyone, but she can end up forgetting about her own needs sometimes and she's so optimistic and she wants to believe that there's good in all people so much that she refuses to accept that there was something wrong with the way her classmates treated her ;w;)

Shun: INFP (Again, I don't think I have to explain this one. Shun is very emotional and empathetic, but he also doesn't know how to connect with others and talk to them, he will do anything to make people he likes stay with him, he prefers to live in an imaginary world he created himself and it's hard for him to accept that the real world isn't perfect)

Naomi: ISFJ (Something about assigning this type to a confirmed child murderer is so funny djdkslsl. But yes, I think Naomi really is an ISFJ! Even though her crime is horrible, she really was a good teacher and she's a very supportive person who genuinely likes helping people, however, she often ends up repressing her feelings and not paying attention to her own well-being, which also was one of the reasons why she committed her crime)

Kei: ESFP (IT WAS SO HARD TO FIND A TYPE FOR HIM. Like, at first I thought he was an ENTP, then I thought that he's most likely an ESTP, but then I read about that type more and it didn't sound like him, even though he definitely has ESTP vibes, but.. I don't think Kei has that "Thinking" part? He doesn't like to think, he's way too emotional and he's not really a rational type, even though ESTPs like taking risks and they're just as bold and sociable as him. The thing is that I also thought about his pre-Milgram self and his T2 version too and.. yeah, even though Kei seems like he's more of a logical type (he's not that romantic, calls Eiji out for being just as cruel as him and he's pretty calm most of the time even though he's in prison, if you don't count his mood swings), he's actually much more emotional and him being a sensitive person who takes things too personally was one of the reasons why he decided to murder someone. Also I think Kei totally has those "easily bored" and "easily distracted" ESFP traits. He's a very artistic and creative person too even though his "art" is. terrifying so.. yeah, I think he's an ESFP)

Eiko: ESTJ (Again, it was so hard to understand what her MBTI would be. You see, I can't call Eiko an extravert, but I can't really call her an introvert either and her crime sounds like something a more emotional person would do, however, she's actually more of a logical type. I even took a test and answered the questions in the way that she would answer and I got ESTJ and.. I think it sounds like her? Like she talks a lot, she's pretty popular, but she's also very organized, likes to plan things and hates when something doesn't go as planned and she hates liars and people who are not competent or "perfect" enough. I actually thought she was an ESFJ at first, but again, she's more of a "Thinking" type)

Asahi: ISFP (?) (.. Asahi actually was the hardest character for me to figure out. I genuinely had no idea what his MBTI is. I didn't know if he's more of a logical or emotional person, since he does have those moments when it feels like he's smarter than some of the older characters, but he's also.. well, a kid. I also don't know if he's more of an extravert or an introvert, since Asahi does spend most of his time alone and claims that he doesn't need friends, but he actually does need them and wants to have them. And I imagine he would be much nicer if he actually had someone to talk to. (Again, he calls everyone his older siblings, so he does have a cute side) S-so.. yeah, maybe he's an ISFP?)

Yurika: ISFP (She was originally supposed to be a more extraverted person, but now I think she's more of an introvert. She just likes reading manga and watching anime and she doesn't need that many friends, but if someone wants to be friends with her and they're a good person, she'd love to talk to them more! She's a very sensitive person who has that warm and soft vibe, but she also gets stressed and overwhelmed easily and it actually can be surprisingly hard to predict her actions T1 Yurika and T2 Yurika may feel like two completely different people, but trust me, this is the same person)

Riku: ESFJ (I thought he was an ESFJ when I first created him and I still think he is one. The most popular boy in school (dw he really was popular and he's not like Akio or Asahi, people really did love him) who had his own band, had lots of friends and had such a good reputation that people actually were okay with him killing someone? Yeah, he gives off ESFJ vibes to me. Everyone sees Riku as this nice and caring boy who will do anything to help others, but the thing is that he's actually very scared of losing his popularity and he hates being criticized. It's ironic, really, he wants people to take care of him as much as he takes care of them, but he still can't stop helping them. Maybe he just likes to hear people saying "thank you" too much.)

Reina: ESFP (Yay, she's MBTI twins with Kei! I actually didn't think that much about her MBTI, like I looked at her and was like "Yeah, she seems like an ESFP to me". She likes to have fun, she had a lot of friends and loved to hang out with them, but she also can do some very dangerous things just to "have fun" when she's actually running away from her problems and she gets bored too quickly)

Eiji: ESTJ (Who knew that Eiko wants to become closer with him because they have the same MBTI? I don't think I should explain why I think Eiji is an ESTJ, like HE HAS THAT VIBE OKAY. Interestingly, I actually wasn't sure if Eiji is more of a "Thinking" or a "Feeling" type because he gets mad easily and it's hard for him to control his emotions, but the thing is that even though he does seem like someone who follows his heart and not his head, Eiji still can explain why he thinks all prisoners should be voted guilty, like he has proof and he simply thinks that no matter what kind of motive or backstory they had, they should be punished because they still are murderers)

Miki: INFP (LOOK AT HER. HER INFP VIBES ARE SO STRONG. Also this explains why she was able to relate to Shun during his interrogation, haha.)

Akio is very ambitious, he thinks that all people are either his rivals or loyal followers, he's very competitive, but he's actually extremely insecure and wants people to see his other qualities too and not just his intelligence. He also secretly wishes to find a way to express himself and his emotions, but he's too scared of people judging him for being "not good enough". No matter how much others tell him that he should take a break, he won't. His main instinct is self-preservation, since he acts like that mostly to protect himself and because, well, maybe if he keeps acting so confident, he will become confident for real one day?)

Aimi: 2w3 (so/sp) (SHE JUST WANTS TO MAKE FRIENDS.. Aimi is very nice and friendly, but she tends to forget about her own needs way too often and she refuses to accept that other people may actually dislike her or even hate her. And even if they do, well, maybe she just needs to do something for them to make them like her? She really wants someone to tell her that she's a good person who is nice to have around. Since she also has a Type 3 wing, Aimi really needs attention and maybe she even wants to be admired in some way. She's also very concerned with her self-image, since she's afraid of being hated.)

Shun: 2w3 (sx/so) (He shares a type with Aimi! His reasons are almost the same, except for Shun it's more about romantic relationships and him wanting to be loved in that way. Also, surprisingly, Shun actually does have a self-preservation instinct! Again, him forgetting things all the time is related to him wanting to protect himself from all the bad memories and all the stress)

Naomi: 1w9 (sp/sx) (Someone who's afraid of doing something wrong, wants to be voted guilty, but also can sometimes think that everyone around her is wrong, while she's the only one who's right.. Yeah, sounds like Type 1. I'd have to describe her backstory to explain why she definitely feels like Type 1, so just know that it's related to her and Shun's "Expectations" theme. But yeah, Naomi is a lot more perfectionistic than she seems. Her Type 9 wing shows her more soft and calm side that she usually shows to the other prisoners and the guards. She hopes everyone will get along and she's always here to help, like I've mentioned before, if someone is too scared or shy to ask guards for something, she will do it herself. Her main instinct is self-preservation, since even though Naomi is very calm and sweet most of the time, if someone treats her badly, she will not tolerate it and she will stand up for herself.)

Kei: 7w8 (sx/sp) (Yeah, Kei definitely feels like Type 7 to me. Playful, fun-loving, does what he wants.. I find it interesting how Type 7's main fear is "to be in pain", meanwhile Kei says that pain is the best expression of love. However, when he says that, he just means that it's okay for him to hurt someone and say that it's just him showing his love and he's not a fan of being in pain himself. Actually, it's kinda like a coping mechanism to him and if someone hurts him, he just likes to think that they're doing it to show how much they love him. Type 8 sounds a lot like him as well, or to be more exact, his more sadistic side: domineering, controlling and assertive. And again, someone who's afraid of being harmed and controlled by others. His main instincts really show just how much he needs to feel connected to someone and he really hates being alone. Eiji and Miki almost never see Kei just spending time alone by himself, he's always talking to someone. He will even try to become friends with the younger prisoners, as long as it means he will get at least some attention)

Eiko: 9w8 (sx/sp) (I actually wasn't sure about her type at first, but I think it kinda makes sense? It's not like Eiko is actually a "peacemaker" type of person, but she really is chill and she just does whatever she wants without worrying about anything. She just wants to see how the things will go and that's it. However, her Type 8 wing also shows that she's just as capable of being as violent as Kei and she won't let anyone control her. Also, I should mention that even though her main instincts are sexual and social, her self-preservation instinct isn't that bad. All of her instincts work pretty well, she's just a very sociable kind of person, so she simply doesn't show the self-preservation instinct that often)

Asahi: 7w6 (sp/sx) (Asahi doesn't sound like Type 7 at first, but if you think about it, he actually has a lot of Type 7 traits: he doesn't like being deprived of something, wants to feel satisfied and content, he's afraid of missing out on something, he's very impatient and impulsive and acts like an undisciplined kind of person. He can't say no to himself and doesn't know when to stop. He also has a Type 6 wing, which shows that Asahi actually has a lot of anxiety inside and he really needs someone's support and guidance. When he doesn't have it (and he doesn't have it right now, since he doesn't know that Miki is his sister and Naomi refuses to act like his mother figure, also most prisoners don't really like him..), he shows his rude and arrogant side to express his emotions and protect himself. Self-preservation is his main instinct and social is his second main instinct: he really hates to admit it, but he really does feel very lonely most of the time)

Yurika: 7w6 (sp/sx) (LISTEN. THESE TWO ARE ACTUALLY SO ALIKE.. Yurika hates not feeling satisfied with something, she probably hates it even more than Asahi. Her personality is much softer than you'd expect from Type 7, but she's got the same desires and motivations as you'd expect from a person with that enneagram type: she wants her life to be fun and exciting, she often feels like she's missing out on something and she wants to be happy literally all the time and hates feeling anything that is not happiness. She also has a Type 6 wing, which fits her a lot because sure, Yurika wants her life to be fun and full of happy moments, but she doesn't actually want to do anything herself to achieve that. She desperately needs someone's support, she wants someone to tell her what to do, no, actually, it would be even better if that someone did everything for her. And Yurika can actually be a very responsible and hard-working person, but only if she feels like she has a valid reason to do all that work. She also can't stand any pressure and she has no idea how to cope with stress. Self-preservation is her main instinct and she would do anything to protect herself)

Riku: 3w2 (so/sx) (Energetic, knows how to make people like him, charismatic, but also constantly worries about what other people think of him, feels like he has to pretend to be stronger than he is and wants people to leave him alone while still wanting to be the center of attention. Yeah, that's Riku. He's very talented and people really do like him, but he often feels like people like only his fake self and not the real one. However, he still wants to be loved and praised, so he continues to act like that. Of course, he didn't want to spend all these years trying to help his toxic friend, but other people had told him how kind and patient he is.. and he liked to hear that. He has a Type 2 wing because he's a very warm and understanding person (at least on the outside) who wants to be loved and taken care of, but he just can't stop forgetting about his own needs and doing too much for others and too little for himself. And when he gets too tired of something.. yeah, he snaps. Obviously, his main instinct is social, but his second main instinct is self-preservation since, you know, he committed his crime exactly because he felt like he needs to save himself from all of this.)

Reina: 9w1 (so/sx) (The most "evil" prisoner here has a Type 1 wing.. Ironic, isn't it? <3 So, her main type is Type 9, which is very interesting to think about if you remember her MV and her relationship with her friends. Type 9 people are very supportive, understanding and they just want everyone to be happy, but they also can easily start just going along with everything other people say, so that there won't be any problems and arguments. They also tend to ignore or simplify any problems and they just don't like thinking about bad things.. Sounds a lot like someone who actually didn't enjoy robbing people, getting into fights and stuff like that, but didn't want to say anything because she was too afraid to disappoint her friends. It hurts me even more to think about her crime because Type 9's main fear is "loss and separation" and that's exactly what happened after her murder :') And about her Type 1 wing.. Don't you think she's a bit too desperate to be voted guilty? Reina constantly calls herself a villain and says that she's evil, but when other people forgive her, she refuses to accept that. How can she accept that when she believes she deserves to be punished? I don't think I have to explain her main instinct because of how much she didn't want to leave her friends.)

Eiji: 8w7 (sp/sx) (Did I make his enneagram like that so that it could look like he's the opposite of Kei but is still similar to him in some way?.. Maybe. But I really do think it sounds a lot like him! Honestly, I feel like Eiji is like.. a textbook definition of Type 8, haha :'D Like yeah, we get it, you like to be in charge, you want everyone to think that you're strong and powerful, we get it. As for his Type 7 wing, tbh I went with it mostly because I know that he doesn't have any Type 9 traits so 👍 But I think he actually does have a lot of Type 7 traits, like he's very passionate about what he likes, he hates it when he doesn't get what he wants and he's also deeply unhappy on the inside, but prefers to hide it while using his, uh, not the most healthy coping mechanisms (which include almost killing people in the process of punishing them). Miki: 9w1 (so/sp) (I did not expect to see her sharing an enneagram with Reina of all people (though their instincts are different), but here we are. I wasn't sure if I see Miki as Type 2 or Type 9, but then I thought about it more and.. I think she's more of a Type 9? Since Miki doesn't really care about feeling loved and needed, like sure, she goes crazy when any cute guy compliments her or asks something from her, but it's not an important part of her personality. Miki cares about everyone's well-being much more and she just wants to make sure everyone is doing okay, she hates conflicts and always tries to help others, though her methods aren't always the best (like for example, she literally agreed to give Riku a knife when he asked for it). I went with 1 as her wing, which may sound weird because of how easily she forgives everyone, but.. that's just how her moral compass works. And she will do anything to protect the people who she sees as innocent and if she's feeling confident enough, she will even fight for what she thinks is right. Of course, her social instinct is the most dominant one because of how much she cares about others and her self-preservation instinct is the least dominant one because of her forgetting about her own needs in the process.)

Gender preference: Men (He really was in a relationship with his accomplice/follower and he also likes Riku (mostly because he reminds him a lot of his accomplice).. though he doesn't like him back.)

Giving:

Words of affirmation. Listen, if Akio really likes someone, that means they deserve to be praised by him. Sure, most of the time his "words of affirmation" just sound like "Hm, not bad" or "You did okay", but if it's coming from someone like him, those words mean a lot. Even if it's just him telling that person that what they did "wasn't bad", in his "language" it basically means that he's okay with marrying them right now. And if he's feeling more comfortable, he can actually tell that person that they did a good job, but only if there's no one else around. And yes, he will say that they should be grateful for hearing that from him.

Physical touch. Now, this one might be a bit sudden, but Akio is actually surprisingly affectionate. And most of the time he doesn't even notice that. Usually it's something like him patting his partner on the head and going "You did well, good job" or him playing with their hair while being too focused on his book to pay attention to what he's doing right now. His face becomes completely red when he does notice it, but if he's already dating that person, he won't stop doing it, he'll just be a bit more shy about it. And again, if there's no one else around, he's okay with holding that person's hand or giving them a hug.

Words of affirmation. Yes, he wants to be praised back too! Of course, he knows how great he is, but.. Um, it would be nice to hear that from his partner too.. Seriously, if you want to make him feel better, all you have to do is just compliment him in some way and he will melt and turn into a puddle right after he hears it. Akio doesn't pay much attention to his health and his needs, so even if it's something as simple as bringing him a snack or a glass of water while he's preparing for a test, it's already enough. He often needs to be reminded to take care of himself, but because he forgets about that way too often or doesn't have time for that, he needs someone who will do that for him.

Aimi.

Gender preference: None. She likes everyone!

Quality time. If you are going on a date with her, she will make that date as memorable as possible! She will plan everything, she will ask you lots of questions about your preferences, what you like to do for fun, etc. Her s/o will never get bored with her and going somewhere with Aimi is always fun and exciting. She will do anything to make her s/o smile and she wants them to know that.

Words of affirmation. She wants her s/o to know how much they mean to her, so she will tell them that every single day! It doesn't matter what her partner does, she will always think it's amazing and she will always praise them for their hard work. She never gets tired of complimenting them and she even claps her hands when she sees her s/o's work, like a drawing, a song they wrote, etc. If her partner thinks they don't deserve to be praised, she will go >:( and will try her best to change their mind or at least make them believe that Aimi really does think they're amazing.

She can't say she's a good artist, but, um, at least her drawings show just how much she loves that person, haha. And if her s/o likes origami, she would be happy to make some for them!

Aimi is used to hearing bad things about herself and people laughing at her and she really needs her s/o to remind her that she's a wonderful person who deserves to be loved and have friends. Hearing a compliment from someone who's so important to her and hearing how much they love her means the world to her.

Even if it's as simple as bringing them some water or waking them up so that they won't be late for something, Shun will take it very seriously and he will write like a ton of reminders for himself so that he won't forget about it. (Though if it's something related to his s/o, he most likely won't forget about it anyway) Ah, and if they're not the tallest person, Shun will be there to get anything they're not able to reach, haha.

Physical touch. This might be surprising, but Shun really is very physically affectionate. He almost always does it on accident or when he just wants to show how much he loves his s/o, but doesn't know how to do it. He actually really likes to hug his partner, cuddle with them or simply hold their hand, but he also doesn't want them to feel uncomfortable and he will always make sure they're okay with what he's doing.

Seriously, getting gifts from his s/o would make him so happy, he would literally cry if that happens. Naomi.

Gender preference: To be honest, I kinda see her being demiromantic (and asexual), so if she actually does fall in love with someone, I don't think their gender would matter to her at all.

Words of affirmation. Naomi often says how nice and kind other people are, but it's usually just her being polite. But if she compliments someone she truly loves, they have to know that she's being sincere this time and she actually does think that they're amazing. Her smile looks a bit warmer when she does so and it doesn't look like she's pretending at all. She's not really the type to compliment her friends or partner often, but when she does so, she will make sure they remember her words.

Acts of service. She's kinda the mom friend of the group already, so it's no wonder that she would have the same role in a romantic or a very strong platonic relationship. She cares about her friend/partner a lot and she would remind them about it all the time by helping them with their work, cooking for them, giving them advice, etc. However, she makes sure not to spoil them too much, so they would have to do at least something without her help. Sorry, it's for their own good.

She often feels tired because of her work, so it would be really nice if her friend/partner could help her when she's too exhausted and overworked to do anything. This woman has noticeable eyebags and it's not because she has that "older woman charm" she's literally only 30, it's because she gets like two or three hours of sleep every night 😭

Gifts. She can't explain why, but for some reason she really likes gifts. Maybe it's because when she looks at something she got from her friend/partner, she understands that they actually looked at this thing and went "Oh, Naomi will love this", like, it reminded them of her and she thinks it's very cute. She loves both handmade and bought gifts equally, since it still means that this person made/bought this for Naomi to make her happy. And they did a great job, because it really did make her happy.

Kei.

Gender preference: None (he canonically finds both Eiko and Shun attractive and his muse was a guy)

Physical touch. Kei is extremely physically affectionate and he also loves PDA. He just really wants everyone to know that his partner belongs to him and that's all. He's okay with literally any form of physical affection, if his s/o prefers something more "cute", he's always there to hug them and it's rare to see him not holding their hand, but he also would love it if his s/o wanted more than that. So yeah, if someone wants to date Kei, they have to be prepared for all that, but surprisingly, if they say that they're not comfortable with something.. Kei will actually understand. Sure, he is sadistic even when it comes to his s/o, no, especially when it comes to his s/o, considering that he believes "pain=love", but if they say that they're not into that kind of stuff, he actually will try being softer with them. He is a criminal who takes pictures of people getting tortured, but if his s/o is a bit more fragile than he expected, he will be careful. Being more gentle can be a way to express love too.

Gifts. This one is probably more unexpected, but Kei actually is the type of person to spoil his partner. He remembers everything about what they like and he will try his best to get that for them. And he rarely has trouble with that, he has both money and connections. He doesn't wait for any special occasion, he just sees something that his s/o would like and gets it for them. And yes, he almost always buys gifts for them, he just thinks handmade gifts are not enough to show how much he loves them.. or so he says. Listen, he can take some pretty photos and give them to you as a gift, but when it comes to other handmade gifts.. he's actually terrible at making them. He really wishes he could draw, sew, cook, etc, but he just can't do it. So he hopes that buying something pretty for them is enough.

Physical touch. When it comes to physical touch, he likes to both give and receive, though he almost never says anything about liking to receive it too. He's just used to being more dominant, haha. And this might be unexpected, but what absolutely will make Kei blush is his partner asking him if it's okay for them to hug him, kiss him, hold his hand, etc. He can't control it too, so he really hates when that happens, he's the one who's supposed to make his partner's face become red, not the other way around! Hm? Why does he react like that?.. Well, people rarely ask him for consent, so..

Kei is actually a very curious type of person and he loves to learn more about the world when he's not in his "let me put my rose-colored glasses on" mood, so if his s/o is very smart, he would surely have a lot of fun with them. Who knows, maybe they'll be able to see Kei smiling and being happy for real.

Eiko.

Gender preference: Men (she dated a guy and flirted with Shun before she found out that he's "taken" and left him alone)

Physical touch. The "Idealization" duo really loves physical affection and they're always here to give it. Eiko loves to give surprise hugs and kisses to her s/o and she loves to see their reaction every time, she never gets bored of it. If you're dating Eiko, expect physical affection to be a big part of your relationship, because as I've said before, Eiko and Mahiru are kinda similar in some way (both are the sixth prisoners and both their crimes have to do something with love), but I think that Eiko is more "direct" with the way she expresses love, like it's hard to describe her love as something soft and romantic: she doesn't write love letters, she doesn't shower her s/o with compliments, she doesn't make cute playlists for them, she just goes "Okay, you're pretty, here's a kiss". She's also very impatient and she thinks there's no reason to be more "careful" with her s/o when she starts dating them: she thinks they already should be prepared for any affection she's gonna throw at them.

Quality time. But hey, she wants this relationship to be fun! So if Eiko is the one who comes up with the date, she will do everything to make it as memorable and perfect as she can. Of course, she wants to enjoy this date, but she wants her partner to enjoy it too, so she will make sure they love it as well. Eiko has a really good memory, so she remembers everything about her s/o's preferences, interests and hobbies and she will keep them in mind when she plans another date. And even if she and her partner are not on a date and they're just walking somewhere, she will still try to make it feel just as exciting.

Gifts. She really likes getting gifts, there's just something nice about it. Like, considering where her parents work, she can actually get anything she wants, but getting something from a person she loves without even asking for it.. It just feels special. She actually prefers gifts that were bought, it just feels nice to realize that her partner spent money to get a gift for her, but she thinks handmade gifts are nice too.

Asahi.

Yes, it's been said many times that Asahi is never satisfied (that's literally his T1 song's title) with anything and he always wants more, but if he actually likes someone.. fine, maybe he can share with them. He will try his best to learn more about their likes and dislikes and if that person says something like "Oh, I really wish I had this thing..", Asahi will actually try to get it for them. He wouldn't give it to them in person though, that's too embarrassing.. But if that person really likes their gift, he will try to be more brave and he will give something to them in person next time. He will never make something for them himself though, he can only buy things in an ideal situation where his adoptive father doesn't hate him (i mean he has a valid reason for that).

Quality time. That's something he would do only for those people he's very, very close with, but still, it is something he would absolutely do for those he cares about. If he sees that his friend is sad, he will actually try to cheer them up and go somewhere with them, like an amusement park, a cinema, an aquarium, etc. They don't even have to be sad, Asahi will just invite them to go with him because he can. But because this kid is very awkward and has no idea how to express affection, his invitation will sound like "Um. So. Uh. You and me are going to that place tomorrow. That's it. You can't say no, by the way." Please don't say no to him he will literally cry if that happens he's trying his best okay

Words of affirmation. Asahi's biological father was.. well, not a good man. He's never called him by his real name, he hated him that much. Out of all the parent figures he ever had, his adoptive mother was the only one who was nice to him not counting his imaginary mom , but still, Asahi felt like she doesn't like him for who he is, she just likes him because he's a child and she's always wanted to have one. So hearing a compliment or two would make Asahi so happy, even though he wouldn't show it. It's possible that when Asahi becomes a bit older, his self-esteem will get much lower because no one has ever praised him or liked him for his personality. And when he grows up or simply becomes a teenager, he won't have the one "redeeming quality" of his anymore: being a cute child who's allowed to do anything. Asahi is actually a bit scared of growing up because he knows that when that will happen, he won't be "cute" anymore.

Gifts. One of the reasons why Asahi constantly feels like he's not getting enough of something is because he's a very unlucky child: both his real parents and adoptive mother is dead (even though he killed her himself) and his adoptive father will never forgive him for his crime. That's too much for someone who's so young. So he's just afraid that if he gets something good now, he will never get it later, so maybe he should just ask people for as many good things as they can give him. That's why gifts mean so much to him, and if it's something that he didn't ask for, but still ends up liking, that gift becomes even more important to him. He just wants to feel like maybe there's a chance that he won't have to worry about losing everything that makes him happy and that maybe he will actually feel even more happy in the future.

Yurika.

Gender preference: Women (yes, she really did have a crush on her manager i wish i could say that she's into milfs but her boss wasn't that old)

Physical touch. Yurika is very physically affectionate and she's definitely one of those prisoners who give the best hugs. When she sees her partner, her whole face lights up and she runs to them to hug them or give them a kiss. She hates letting go of her partner's hand and she goes >:( when her s/o says that they should stop acting like this in public. Wait, her s/o being so shy is actually kinda cute.. And if her s/o is just as affectionate as her, that's it, they and Yurika will become that annoying lovey-dovey couple who never shut up about each other and never stop looking into each other's eyes when they're together.

Quality time. Well, uh, if Yurika still was a rich kid who can just ask her parents for money, she would visit much cooler places with her s/o, but. Um. They kicked her out, so she can't really do much right now, but she will still try her best to make every date fun and exciting. Her s/o doesn't even have to go anywhere with her, just staying home is already good, they can always watch, play or read something together. Ah, and if her s/o doesn't have the same hobbies as her, for example, they aren't into anime/manga or they're not much of a gamer, she will try to come up with something they can also enjoy. Their happiness means everything to her.

Gifts. Listen. Again, she can't just call her parents and go "Hiiii, can you please buy this for me, thank youuuu &lt;3", like, there's a reason why they kicked her out. So, um, it would be nice if her s/o could get those things for her instead 👉👈 Most of the time Yurika already knows what she wants, so she tries to drop hints and if her partner gets her the things she wanted even before she says anything, it will make her even more happy. It would make an even better surprise if her partner decided to get a gift for her even without any hints, like they just saw something and they thought that Yurika would like it.

Acts of service. This is also connected to her being an ex-rich kid: it's hard for Yurika to do some things without anyone's help and now she has to learn how to do them for the first time. She would be really happy if her s/o could help her and.. haha.. maybe do those things for her.. Fine, fine, she's willing to learn how to do them, she just hopes her partner can be there for her in case she does something wrong or makes a mistake and has no idea how to fix it. But still, if her s/o is okay with doing chores or helping her study, she would be very grateful and she would make sure to pay them back.

Riku.

Gender preference: Women (he had a girlfriend and he also finds Miki cute, though it's hard to say if he really does like her or just enjoys manipulating her)

Words of affirmation. Riku would be a very supportive boyfriend and he would give as many compliments as he can to his partner every single day. If his s/o has some insecurities, he would try his best to help them (without basically becoming their therapist though) and if they're feeling sad, he would try to cheer them up. He's definitely a type of guy to write a song for someone he loves and it would be much more wholesome and sweet than all his other songs (I haven't mentioned it before, but all Riku's songs are either very sad and depressing or full of anger and rage or they're just.. creepy). Whenever his s/o is nervous, he would try to calm them down by reminding them how great and amazing they really are.

Physical touch. Riku is very physically affectionate and he loves PDA a lot. He just feels more confident when his partner hugs or kisses or simply flirts with him in public. When he sees his s/o, he runs to hug them, like that's the first thing that comes to his mind when he sees them. If his s/o is working on something and doing a good job, he will pat them on the head or kiss them on the cheek and tell them that they're doing great. However, he always makes sure his s/o is comfortable with getting so much physical affection from him and if it's not something that they enjoy, it's okay, he can simply express his love in different ways.

Acts of service. He's just used to this because of his.. uh.. "friend", his older brother and his younger sisters. If his s/o needs help with anything, he'll be right there. He also simply cares about his partner a lot and makes sure they're not forgetting to eat, they're staying hydrated and getting enough sleep. He will gently scold them if they don't do one, some or all of these things, but that's just because he's worried. If his s/o can't sleep, he would be okay with them calling him in the middle of the night (yes, he's a hypocrite, he doesn't get enough sleep either and he uses makeup not only to express himself, but to hide dark circles under his eyes) and he can even try to sing a lullaby for them to (hopefully) help them fall asleep.

Words of affirmation. Of course, Riku needs compliments too. He loves hearing them from his bandmates, classmates or fans, but hearing something like that from his partner would make his day and he wouldn't be able to focus on anything after that because of how happy he's feeling. Even if it's something as simple as them telling him that his new song is great or they like how his hair looks, that's it, he will stand there and try to process what they just said and after he's done, he will giggle and say that it's nothing special. But sometimes, when Riku is not feeling well, he can shyly ask his s/o if they can say something nice to him to help him feel better. It's not much, but it can actually make him smile even when he's not feeling like smiling at all.

No matter how hard Riku tries to stay perfect in everyone's eyes, this guy is a mess and he needs someone who can be patient with him and understand that this guy has his bad days too and that it's hard for him to stay cheerful all the time. You see, most of the time Riku actually has no reason to take care of himself at all. Sure, he can do that to look better in front of his classmates and friends, but if he's not going to school or planning to meet up with his friends.. what's the point? So it's very easy to find him lying on the floor in his room and trying to come up with a new song and when you ask him if he even ate anything today, he just blankly stares at you and goes "No, but I did my makeup though :D"

Reina.

Gender preference: Women (this is a much more subtle example, but Reina did mention in her interrogation that she likes Yurika and thinks she's cute. She doesn't go into details though)

Quality time. It's hard to get bored with someone like Reina: this girl always has some cool (and not so safe) ideas to spend time together and you never know what she might try to do next time. A simple date in the park is not her style at all and she will try to come up with something much more exciting and unique. And if anything goes wrong, she doesn't care about her safety, but she will do anything to protect her partner and make sure they're okay. And, uh, if they prefer more chill and "normal" dates.. Fine, maybe Reina can try to get used to that. She doesn't guarantee that this date will be 100% safe though, who knows, maybe her enemies will find her and she will have to fight them while also having to protect her partner and- It's okay, she's just nervous and afraid that they will find this date too boring.

They deserve it more than the person she stole them from anyway. And if she stole them from a store, well, it's other people's fault for not buying these things.

Acts of service. Even though he may not look like it, Eiji would actually be a very caring boyfriend. Sure, he is still a cruel and merciless prison guard, but when it comes to someone he really does care about, he may actually show his kinder side to them. If someone asks him about it, he will say something like "Shut up, I'm doing this only because they're too lazy to do it without my help", but if there's no one else around, he will do anything his s/o might need help with, no questions asked, especially if they're sick or not feeling so good mentally. He's used to being a more hardworking and responsible brother even though he's the younger one, so it's not hard for him at all. If it means he'll be able to help his s/o this way, it may actually make him feel kinda excited and if they're lucky, maybe they will see him smiling while he's cleaning their room or cooking for them.

Words of affirmation. Eiji may look like your stereotypical tsundere boy, but if he actually likes someone, he will let them know that. He may (lovingly) call them an idiot one or two times, but if they call themself an idiot, he will make them take their words back and admit that they're the smartest person Eiji knows. Maybe he just doesn't want his s/o to feel any kind of pain, doesn't matter if it's physical or mental, he knows what it's like and he would never want them to go through any of that. He's not that good at giving compliments and he gets a bit nervous when it comes to that, so he'll just go "Um. You did great. Bye", but he really wishes he could say more. Acts of service. Just like some other characters, Eiji likes to both give and receive acts of service. It can be a bit hard and even painful for him to do things sometimes, after all, his body is still almost covered in bandages and not without a reason. So it could be nice if his s/o could help him when it gets too tiring for him. Also, if his partner really does help him, he may feel a bit.. like, he's sorry for wasting their time like this. He hates being this weak and he hates the fact that he needs to take breaks so often, so his s/o needs to help him work on that and understand that he's not a burden to them at all.

Physical touch. Like Reina, he would rather die than admit that he likes it, but he's extremely touch-starved and it doesn't help that sometimes physical touch can be painful for him because of how weak his body is. But if his s/o is gentle and careful enough, he will be this close to literally melting because of their touch. Even if it's something as simple as playing with his hair, he will already start blushing and covering his face with his hands.

She's not exactly good at cooking though, so if it's anything related to that, she most likely won't be able to help.. She can try to get better at it though! Actually, if it's anything else that she's not really good at, Miki will try to get better at it, so that she can help her partner with it in the future. Or maybe they can learn together!

She wouldn't even tell them their birthday simply because her thought process would be like "Wait.. If we're dating.. And they're asking me about my birthday... Oh no.. I think the whole you only need 3 sessions with a therapist to be diagnosed with gender dysphoria nowadays is a big factor in why there's an influx of cis people doing hrt, you can't know if someone has dysphoria in 3 sessions, that's why it took thorough counceling for a few years just to diagnose someone with it in the past, and rightfully so. There's SO much medical malpractice going on in the "trans health" field with cis detransers who barely got any counceling and then go on to blame us

Strong agree. Transition isn't small potatoes, and the process to achieve it shouldn't be either, even if it might get frustrating for people who legitimately need the treatment because there should be as many gates as possible to prevent any kind of malpractice or mistreatment.

I mean if you listen to people who began the process of transition even like a decade ago they'll tell you either that it was so uncommon that anyone who came in asking about transition was pushed through because it was just so uncommon, or that there was a long process of therapy to confirm that this was likely the best course of action before they medically transitioned. And there was the practice ages ago that you had to live as your gender for a year before you would even be considered for medical transition.

I think it also has to do with the fact that transness(?) is hyper visible right now in TV/movies/news/etc and anyone who might be dealing with issues with their body can see trans people and all the vague ways its described in corporate media (of both sides of the aisle) as relatable despite the fact that being trans is a very specific and rare thing. This plays into the issue with nonbinary, because it is basically just the new GNC with the added layer of claiming that any gender nonconformity means you're not actually cis or "under the trans umbrella" which no doubt pushes people towards medical transition which is... perplexingly accessible to MOGAI supporters.

On that note, my hot take is that they should make you pull up your social medias before approving you for transition and if they see any pronouns in your bio other than he/him or she/her then they send you right back to therapy to figure your shit out.

I love what anon said about their friend and gender but I want to add that gender is stereotypes. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately because there are a lot of characters I like or relate to that people are convinced must be non-binary/trans/gender fluid/etc. but I don’t necessarily see it that way. Thinking about it more I think we’re all correct and I’ll explain why.

The first example that comes to mind is Jo March, specifically in Greta’s version. She has a line where she says “I can’t get over my disappointment over being a girl”. But she says that because she wants to go to war or not wear a corset. She wears men’s clothing and she acts a lot less “ladylike” than her sisters. But nothing she does is something that would be seen as masculine by today’s standards. Hence why I can certainly see her as a genderfluid/non binary character back then but I don’t think she would be today.

This is something I think about often because the moment a female character in a period film does anything a bit masculine there’s always a conversation about their gender and to me, they’re always doing things that women do now (like wear pants or have a job) but back then it was things men did.

If we’re talking about being a man or a woman biologically, that doesn’t really change throughout history. Men have dicks, women have vaginas and their bodies are made to be able to carry children. But gender is ever changing. A man who likes make up and dresses and heels right now might feel inclined to go by “they/them” pronouns because they might feel like “he/him” and what that represents doesn’t go with who they feel they are. But if they had been a king in the 1600s (I think?) men wore make up and heels and they might have never questioned their gender. And if we go back to like Ancient Rome I think everyone wore dresses.

This is not in any way trying to undermine people’s pronouns and I know in a lot of cases it goes deeper than what I have used as examples. But gender is a social construct and it has taken different meanings throughout history, so it makes sense that the same person would identify with different genders depending on what point in history they’re thrown in. I don’t get the sense that Jo March would question her gender nowadays, but I see how she could’ve/would’ve in the 19th century.

All in all, I do think gender is a based off stereotypes and that’s why it has changed so much throughout history. That’s also why I think the approach anon’s friend took was great

gender absolutely is a social construct AND trans and gender fluid people have existed for all of history. They/them pronouns (and funkier variations like ze/zir/etc) are a new thing in the English language but that doesn’t mean people haven’t resented being limited to he/she before recently and it’s great people can express themselves better. Also I’m VERY cis as I’ve said and I’m not in either medicine or like formal gender studies so this is coming from a place of allyship and critical theory and having QTS as a PSHE teacher BUT I do think where your argument lacks depth is using the term “biologically” men are men and women are women. Firstly because scientifically speaking that’s just not true. Not everyone is born “boy” or “girl”. That’s not true. Secondly because gender related body dysmorphia is… very much a thing where people quite literally feel like they’re in the wrong body and that’s fixed with gender confirmation surgery and quite clearly (to me) that’s not the same as “I just want to wear different clothes to what society expects from me” like… that’s a whole other thing. I don’t have enough knowledge to know how gender confirmation surgery interplays with non binary people - I’m sure some people want the former and identify as they/them still or fluid in some way - but yea idk I don’t feel we should say “okay men are men and women are women” EVER because that’s just not true. And also it erases people who aren’t born as one of those two things. And those people very much exist.

Imma do this where I start on things that apply to all takes of Mikey then more specific stuff for each verse I have. Mostly it'ss just be 2003 and 2012 though since Rise ive talked about so i left him out of his own section and 87 a bit newer so his bit will be the shortest.

Aromatic Pansexual. Mikey dosen't care to much for being in a romantic relationship this dosen't mean he won't he a bit content with his own interests and platonic relationships. It's why he tends to vicariously live and meddle a bit in his brothers/friends relationships.

He attracted to ones good vibes over their gender uwu. Mikey has actually gotten experience under his belt he just dosen’t talk about it. He can keep thinks more casual.

Genderfluid. pronouns? he will actually use any. he/him. They/Them. She/Her.

I have made a few mentions here and there on a few Mikey's being pretty open on their gender in responses. Like how Rise and 2012 both share an interest in painting their nails and their brothers nails or shells if they let him

Mikey dosen't use Labels however. He is just Mikey.

All Mikeys do like to paint their nails but they don't all push it to their brothers. 87/03 go with one color and its mostly just orange. 12/rise will mix it up and sometimes to mutplie colors at a time.

Highly empathic. Mikey is very attuned to others feelings it's why hes the likely the one you wanna meet first out of the four. He dosen't view many as threat which can be both bad and good. SO if Mikey DOSE feel someone can't be trusted it might pay to listen to him.

Has ADHD. Now really only the Rise version has this confirmed but well I always saw the case for 2003 and 2012 and I can see it easily applied to him over all.

Highly admires all his brothers. True to his place as the baby in the family Mikey looks up to his brothers and admires them for who they are. Often trying to emulate them.

Also because of that and his empathy hes highly aware of his older brothers hang ups and struggles. He knows Leo burned of Leader/How hard they are on themself (rise), He knows Raph carries the worlds problems on his shoulders, He knows Donnie sets his self worth into his mind and creations and feels like a failure if he cant fix an issue. Mikey is painfully aware of this all.

It why hes a tad more relaxed and laid back and tries to get them involved in his own antics. Or gets a bit to involved in what they are doing. Yeah hes annoying but its coming from a good place.

Super protective. Sorry to anyone who dates his brothers or takes a liking to them. Will he befriend you and be that siblings that steals his brothers partner away to hang with him? yes he will. But theres a slight motive behind it. He's making sure you good for his brothers and well thats a hard thing to crack to Mikey because of how highly he thinks of them. Even Casey someone he is friends with he has done this with.

That another thing out of all the turtles? Mikey is the one you don't wanna make mad. Sure Raph, Leo and even the rare times Donnie snap is something you wanna avoid but Mikeys worse. He aims to hurt. Last Ronin uwu is a good example or ya know 2012 throwing a whole couch out a window over Leo or Rise Mikey throwing buildings and boats even.

It's stated and shown in many of the shows and comics that Mikey could be one of the greatest ninjas out there, Even rivaling Leo's abilities. I feel last Ronin shows it most. He has often gotten the better of all his brothers when pitted against them at times. Mikey just lacks the drive, focus and motivation at times.

Having to kill a deal with version of Splinter fucked with him a bit more than he has noticed. He felt guilty about it for months and made sure to be a bit more serious with training for a bit of time.

Loved super heros since his first comic book he ever came across.

His favorites are Captain America, Spider man, Batman and Wonder women.

It's what inspires him to feel he and brothers could do real good for the city. Not just simply hide away they can help people.

Helping others is his biggest goal. Even why he dawned the Turtle Titan persona.

Mikey dose a lot of charity work on his own. Making sure orphanages/foster homes are getting toys and essentials to the kids. Helping their homeless friends out with basics through the year.

What makes Mikey happiest? being useful to others even if he might complain here and there knowing he helped someone? it just feels nice.

Some insights from the Japanese version of chapter 2!

(I'm not THAT great at Japanese, and am NOT a native speaker, it's been years and even then I never got super-fluent, but I can still read a little, and just used my dictionary for the rest. So, if anyone wants to correct me on this, go for it.)

-In case you missed it, Spamton's speech is translated REALLY interestingly, using "death" in English instead of "desu" (since they're pronounced the same), spelling daisuki (love) as "die-suki", uses Watakushi (formal and gender-neutral, though not exclusively, pretty much anyone can use it) as his pronoun but replaces "kushi" with the numbers 9 and 4, which are pronounced Ku and Shi but whose sounds out of context can mean "death" and "pain/torture" and are therefore considered unlucky numbers, etc. Also, less horrifying, instead of BIG SHOT he just says he wants to be "BIG" -- which, given that he's a literal email spambot from the 90s, has some implications...

-Seam's pronoun is...Atashi? o____O Which is, like, really feminine. The girly girl pronoun. If they don't straight-up identify as a different gender in Japanese, I guess we're supposed to interpret this as them seeing themselves as being more feminine?

-King and Queen both use Watakushi, with Queen even using it and all other words referring to people/specific topics in [brackets] sorta similar to Spamton (though in Japanese this translates more as just being in quotes), along with other formatting quirks like everything she says being enclosed in <!-- HTML comment tags -- >, making her seem more computer-y.

-The Addisons don't use any pronouns at all. None. They NEVER say the equivalent of the words "I" or "Me" ANYWHERE in Japanese.

-SCC all use male pronouns:

Sweet and Cap'n both use Ore (very masculine, tough guy, arrogant, connotations of being a delinquent/gangster).

Interestingly, Sweet rarely refers to just himself, but as part of the whole group (Oretachi), while Cap'n does both.

K_K uses Boku (standard friendly male pronoun)

-Susie also uses Ore, which makes sense for her since despite being almost exclusively a male pronoun, she doesn't care about that shit! She is tough and you WILL respect her.

-Now for the big one! Swatch also uses Watakushi (gender-neutral, formal). Now, literally anyone can use that or its less-formal version Watashi, male, female, or otherwise -- it's pretty much just the default pronoun (I use Watashi whenever I speak Japanese, since I'm NB). But, in this case, without any English equivalent to go on, I think we can officially say They/Them Swatch confirmed!!

-I've seen others bring this up before, but I'll include it for completeness: Rouxls Kaard uses Yo as his pronoun, which is...basically Watashi but EXTREMELY formal and a little old-fashioned, only really used in writing rather than speech. So, pretty accurate to him!

And now for some more SCC stuff, since I focused on those scenes (for obvious reasons):

-Sweet and Cap'n both speak pretty normally, albeit VERY informally, with the latter using slightly harsher/even more casual language and not really ending his sentences properly, but K_K's manner of speaking is different. He basically speaks in either a really lazy or cutesy manner, rarely using difficult kanji and ends every sentence li~ke thisssss!!~

-In Japanese, K_K's nickname makes a little more sense -- the line where in English he says "K_K is short for 'Cakes.'" is instead "K_K wa 'Kēki' no ryaku da yo~" or "K_K is an abbreviation of Kēki (Cake)!~" In Japanese you abbreviate something by either using the first kana of each word or, especially in cases like this with a shorter word in katakana, the first English character of each kana. So, his name is Kē Ki -- KK!

-Instead of "See ya! Smell ya! Hear ya!", they all just say goodbye, but in their own way:

Sweet: "Mata kaiou!" (Until we meet again!)

Cap'n: "Mata na!" (See ya, very casual)

K_K: "Mata ni~" (Same as Cap'n, but in a much more cute, childish manner)

-Instead of lemon drops, K_K talks about lemon jelly. Which...explains a lot of the Japanese fanart I've seen with K_K eating it.

-Instead of saying Queen gave him candy for being so sweet, Sweet says that Queen gave him a nickname that translates directly to "Little Sweets/Candy Boy". And when he hears it, Cap'n says he wants to be called that too!

-Cap'n drops the freaking k-word! Granted, it's referring to the damn Berdly statue, which, I would use that word to describe too, but still. Someone wash this boy's mouth out with soap!

-"Boku wa sweets daisuki!" / "I love sweets!" Shippers, this one's for you.
