World Cup Results II
Part 1
Ona Batlle x Reader
Summary: The beginning of Ona's Pregnancy
A/N: At least one more part to this of the pregnancy, might continue it after the baby too. But if anyone has a request please feel free to put it in my asks! I work much better and faster with ideas. I'm open to writing anything, smut, fluff, angst, kid fics, just let me know what you want to read!
You and Ona couldn’t be more excited on the drive home from the clinic. Neither of you could wipe the smiles off your faces as your hands were held together and rested in your girlfriend’s lap. The entire ride home was full of loving sentiments exchanged to one another and plenty of blushes being spread across faces.
Arriving home began your new train in following the advice from the doctor as closely as possible as well as going a bit overboard. Your girlfriend was starting to get annoyed with you, but even she would admit it was sweet how caring you were. Ona never opened her car door, never lifted anything too heavy, didn’t carry her bags to training, and you hardly let her do household chores. Every night for dinner you cooked a meal full of all the proper nutrients the doctors had advised eating and made sure to buy Ona only the best prenatal vitamins.
You both had agreed to not tell your teammates until you reached the 15-week mark, until then Ona didn’t have to alter her trainings and could still play in games. You had let the coaching staff and medical staff know as soon as you found out so they could monitor the Spaniard closer, but as of now you wanted to keep it on a need-to-know basis.
It was around the 8-week mark, right after the first ultrasound, that some of your teammates began to catch on that something was happening. Any slight bump or tackle Ona took during training led to you sprinting to be by her side checking up on her. The brunette found it sweet but needed you to let up a little bit before they had to tell your team sooner than expected.
Your worries weren’t without their reason, the chance of miscarriage was drastically higher through IVF and until Ona was outside her first trimester you had every right to worry. The days leading up to your 8-week scan were some of the most stressful days in your recent memory. You and Ona both were worried sick about having the scan show that you had lost your baby.
Ona was more stressed than you were due to her late-night research of her symptoms which often times resulted in her reading many horror stories of parents going to the first ultrasound and finding no heartbeat. The internet on top of her raging hormones led to many tearful nights where you tried to alleviate her fears but knew that the only thing to help the brunette’s anxiety would be seeing your baby.
Thankfully one day after training the two of you were able to go to the clinic for the scan and see your baby for the first time. Tears immediately came to both of your eyes as the doctor told you your baby was not only alive, but healthy and thriving inside your girlfriend. You weren’t one to cry, but Ona made a comment that she thinks you’ll be a mess at every ultrasound, and you couldn’t help, but agree. There was something about seeing your baby on that screen that made everything seem more real. Therefore, the attentiveness only got worse.
Your English teammates were the first to confront you about your recent behavior. The pair was sat alone at a table during lunch when Lucy pulled you into a seat, “What’s wrong with you?”
You gave the older woman a confused look, “What the hell do you mean?”
Kiera slapped Lucy’s arm and muttered something you couldn’t quite make out under her breath. She looked over to you, “What Lucy meant to say,” She sent the brunette defender a glare, “Is that you’ve been acting a bit different during training recently.”
You truly hadn’t caught onto what they were referring to yet and raised an eyebrow at the pair, “Is this your guy’s subtle way of telling me I’ve been playing badly?”
Lucy slapped the back of your head and groaned, “No you idiot,” You slapped her right back, “Every time someone so much as touches Ona you act like she got shot.” Lucy slapped you again, “And you’re always watching her like a hawk,” You slapped her back.
Kiera grabbed her arm before she could retaliate, “Would you two stop acting like children already.”
This wasn’t surprising behavior for you and the outside back, ever since you arrived at Barcelona the two of you grew much closer. Lucy helped you a lot to settle into the team and lifestyle of Spain, so overtime you grew a lot closer. Hence, why she was one of the first ones to notice a change in your behavior.
You suddenly realized what they were referring too and tried to hide it best you could, “I’m not acting any different, I always worry about her.”
Lucy gave you a dumbfounded look, “Yeah, but this is even pushing it for you,” She began to dramatically mimic you, “Oh my love, Ona, someone leaned on you during our full contact sport, and job, are you sure you’re going to survive this,” She leaned back with an arm laid against her forehead dramatically.
You started slapping the older brunette again, “Oh shut up, I am not acting like that.”
Kiera sighed and pushed the two of you apart, “Would you two seriously stop it,” she looked at Lucy, “Luce stop being dramatic,” and then turned to face you, “You’re not acting like whatever the hell that display was, but you are acting extra protective over her.”
You ultimately made up some excuse about Ona having reinflamed her ankle and that you wanted to make sure she didn’t seriously injure it again. The pair of English women didn’t seem to believe your excuse, but let you go on your way.
On the ride home you had told you told Ona about the confrontation with Lucy and Kiera which she followed up by agreeing that you needed to tone down the protectiveness and worrying. She had begun to notice it too and believed it was sweet but agreed that it was about to get out of hand and was only a matter of time before more of your teammates began to catch on.
---
It was a couple weeks later, around the 12-week mark, when Ona was quieter than usual after training. The car ride home was nearly silent, but you didn’t mention it and assumed she was just tired. As the pregnancy progressed Ona was starting to become increasingly more tired throughout the day, so you assumed that alongside the hard training today was the cause for her quietness.
It wasn’t until a little later when you walked into the living room and found the Spaniard sitting on the couch with her head in her hands that you finally asked, “Is something wrong babe? Are you not feeling well?”
Her head remained in her hands as she softly muttered out, “I need to tell you something.”
You quickly sat down next to her with you hand on her thigh and concern lacing your voice, “Is it the baby? Do we need to call the doctor?”
She quickly sat back and leaned against the couch quickly alleviating your worries, “No, no the baby is fine. It’s just, es posible que accidentalmente le haya contado a Aitana sobre el bebé.” She had rushed out the last sentence in Spanish making it difficult for you to understand.
“Slower, por favor, you know my Spanish isn’t good when you talk fast.”
“I accidentally told Aitana about the baby today,” Feeling increasingly guilty she began to ramble, “I know we didn’t want to tell people about the baby this early, but she cornered me and you know I’m bad at keeping things to myself when someone asks and it just slipped out. I am so sorry mi amor.”
You chuckled at her rambling but let out a sigh of relief knowing this was the cause to Ona’s mood shift and not something more serious. Ona and Aitana had always been close, growing up playing for the academy together and since Ona returned to Barca they became even closer, so part of you was more surprised it took this long for her to find out. The outside back also was known for being bad at keeping secrets. Anytime someone would ask her about something she wasn’t supposed to talk about she would begin rambling making it obvious that she was hiding something and would usually end up saying it anyways.
You dropped back to lean against the couch and moved your hand from her knee onto her, hardly noticeable, bump, “Oh thank god, you had me worried, love.”
Ona covered your hand with hers, “There is nothing to worry about, I’m sorry she found out.”
The outside back when onto explain that Aitana had cornered her in the locker room after training when the rest of the team had already filed out. Instead of the usual comments which were about how protective you had become, Aitana had brought up how happy the two of you had seemed and that you were touchier than usual. She also had picked up on Ona subtly rubbing her stomach and your hand grazing over it after you would hug. She had straight up asked Ona if she was pregnant, and there was no escaping it from there, your girlfriend didn’t know how to lie.
“And you know I can’t lie, amor, she caught me so off guard and I must’ve taken too long to try and come up with an excuse, but she just pulled me into a hug saying how happy she was for us.”
You laughed again, wrapping an arm around her shoulders to pull the smaller girl into your side, “I’m more surprised you lasted this long without everyone finding out.”
Ona rubbed a hand over her stomach instinctively, “As long as everyone keeps bringing it up to you instead of me, we should be okay, there’s only three weeks until I can’t play in matches anymore and then we’ll have to tell them.”
You looked down to her face as you smoke softly, “We can tell the team now if you want, you’re out of the first trimester, we just saw the baby, and everything is healthy, there’s no big reason to keep it from them anymore.”
“No, no, I like just keeping it to ourselves. Our own little bubble outside of football for now,” she leaned up to connect your lips softly and full of love.
---
Aitana did much better of a job keeping the secret to herself than you originally expected. The midfielder took her job as being the best friend and only teammate who knew very seriously. Anytime your teammates would begin on the topic when she was around, she would quickly shush their comments and would back any lie you made up to cover your secret.
You and Ona were grateful for her efforts, but in a way, it only increased your other teammates suspicions. You also were now partially convinced much of the team actually already knew what was going on. As the last two weeks have gone by Mapi, Ingrid, and Alexia had completely stopped asking anything about the topic. Originally Mapi had been one of the most vocal players about finding out what was going on, but now had completely stopped in her efforts.
The truth was Ingrid, being the observant and caring teammate and friend that she was, had picked up on the same signals Aitana had. She obviously told Mapi about her suspicions who then confided in Alexia about them. Therefore, they came up with a plan to get the two of you to admit it to them.
It was after the last game of the season before the Christmas break that Alexia decided the team would go to a club to celebrate before everyone left to their respective homes. You and Ona were going to see your family in England for the break, so you tried to get the two of you out of going by saying that you had to finish packing before your flight. Alexia wasn’t taking this as an answer and needed the both of you there to try and get an admittance from you, therefore, said it was required team bonding and you had to be there. The original plan was for Alexia and Mapi to call Ona out on not drinking and essentially for her to expose the pregnancy, but this plan was quickly stopped when the two of you entered the bar, keys in Ona’s hands, clearly having drove the two of you there. Anytime she was asked about a drink it was easy for her to say she was driving that night, plus she didn’t have to lie so there was no worries about her slipping up.
Alexia and Mapi were still trying to come up with a new plan when, surprisingly, you were the one to let it slip.
You were sitting at a table with many of your teammates while Ona was dancing with Aitana, Patri, Claudia, and Cata when a guy walked up behind Ona and placed his hands on her hips. You were on your feet and dragging the man off her before she had the chance to pull away.
The man turned around to be face to face with the hands that had just pulled him off the girl he was obviously interested in, “What the fuck do you want?”
You stood tall with your chest puffed and harshly spoke, “I want you to get your hands off my girlfriend.”
He scoffed, “Girlfriend? Sorry bud, I don’t think she’s the girlfriend type.”
You laughed, “Sorry, bud, but I’m the one she’s woken up next to for the past 8 years so I think I might know her a bit better than you.”
“Yeah, well I didn’t see you anywhere until after I came over so looks like I’ve beat you to it.”
“Oh, fuck no,” You tried to shove past him to get to Ona, but he moved to block your path.
“Why don’t you prove it to me then?” By now a decent amount of your teammates had noticed what was going on and began to come over to help deal with the man.
This sent you over the edge, it might’ve partially been at fault to the alcohol you had that night, and you being a little more than drunk already. But with one big push to his shoulder you announced, “I think the fact that she’s pregnant with my baby proves enough,” this left him shocked and gave you enough time to walk over to Ona with your back turned to the man and place a hand on the side of her face, “Are you alright, love?” Most of your teammates were now standing around you with their jaws hanging open clearly in shock.
The man clearly wasn’t over the embarrassment yet, as he pulled your shoulder back to face him and landed a hook across your cheek, you threw one right back getting him across the nose before security was dragging him away just as Lucy was doing the same to you. You looked back to find Ona and saw Alexia standing in front of her having clearly dragged her back and away from you and the man, likely assuming the altercation may escalate and after your confirmation didn’t want the Spaniard anywhere near the potential of a fight.
After clearing some things with the security guards, they let you stay and Lucy was dragging you over to the table many of your teammates had gone to sit at, the rest following close behind you.
Ona slid into the booth next to you with a bag of ice in her hand, and reaching up with her free hand to grab your chin and turn your head to assess the damage, “Are you okay? You know I hate it when you do that.”
You were waving your arm dramatically, clearly still affected by the alcohol in your system, “He wanted to take you home I was protecting you both.”
She had a soft smile and pressed the bag of ice to your cheek, which you took over holding against your face, “I know you were, but you could’ve gotten hurt a lot worse.”
“I don’t care,” You leaned closer to whisper in her ear, clearly having forgotten you had already spilled your secret, “You’re carrying precious cargo, Baby Mami.”
Ona chuckled and patted your thigh, “No point in whispering now, amor, you already announced it.”
You turned to see the rest of your team giving you both dumbfounded and shocked looks, but Alexia, Aitana, Mapi, and Ingrid just smirking to themselves.
Alexia was the first to speak up from across the table, “So, you two are having a baby?”
You moved your free hand to rest on your girlfriend’s stomach and smiled as Ona replied, “Yep, baby y/l/n-Batlle is due in May. We were going to tell you all after the break, but tonight was my last match for the season, I’m about to be fifteen weeks, so no more matches.”
You were met with a lot of congratulations from your teammates when Lucy finally connected the dots and pointed at you, “So this is why you’ve been so unbearably protective over her recently.”
You defended yourself, “She’s carrying precious cargo, that’s the future best player in the world in there,” You patted her small bump, and the brunette covered your hand with hers.
This caused a smile to breakout on Ona’s face and laughs spread around the table. Ona had decided you had enough to drink, and she was exhausted having played 70 minutes today, so announced that you would be heading home. It took a few minutes before you were finally out the door, having to go through and hug every one of your teammates and being told congratulations by each one of them.
The next day the two of you flew to England for the first half of break, you would spend Christmas with your family before coming back to Spain to spend the rest with Ona’s family who you saw more often.
Since the secret was already out to your teammates and your families had already known for weeks while home in England you and Ona were able to tell a few of your England and former Arsenal teammates you were closest with.
While in London and met up with Leah, Lia, Lotte, Alessia, Beth, and Viv for lunch to share the news with them. Leah was especially moved when you told her, having been much like a big sister to you during your time at Arsenal. She couldn’t get past how grown up you were and that now were having a baby. Alessia did a lot of claiming that this all happened because of her setting you two up. While you’ll go to your grave denying her you can’t help but thank her slightly.

Thanks for reading everyone, I hope you enjoyed! Again, please leave any requests or prompts in my asks!

'I knew it, you're sick.' 'Go away'
Tommy wakes up to a pounding fist against his door. Each knock raps in time with the throbbing in his head and he groans, trying to bury his face further into the couch cushion to muffle it. It doesn't work, and also makes him feel even hotter than he already is.
A sinus infection with a side of the stomach bug was not how Tommy wanted to spend his weekend, but he figures it was time for his yearly dose of getting sick to hit him.
He pushes himself up and closes his eyes tightly against the vertigo that threatens to make him sick–again. He's hardly been able to keep anything down, even water, no matter how many crackers he eats and the stomach relief medication he's taken.
When he stumbles over to the front door and rips it open, ready to yell at whoever is on the other side bothering him so badly, he's shocked to find Ev–Buck on the other side. Buck armed with three large shopping bags that knock against Tommy's hip when he pushes his way inside.
"I knew it, you're sick," Buck says as he sets the bags down on Tommy's kitchen counter. He starts unpacking them and Tommy is still reeling from opening the door to see his ex-boyfriend. Who's inside his house now. "Lucy told me you didn't come into work and wanted me to check on you since you weren't answering any of her texts. Guess she thought I still had a key."
Tommy doesn't have the mental energy to deal with this right now. He groans and presses the heels of his hands tightly against his eyes, which does little to ease the pressure in his sinuses. "Go away. You can tell her I'm fine and alive and go back home, Buck. I don't need a babysitter."
"I don't know if you've looked in a mirror lately, but you look like shit, Thomas." He cringes against the bite in Buck's tone, even though he knows he deserves it. "Go get into an actual bed and I'll start cooking up something other than crackers dipped in Pepto Bismol."
"Not to insult your cooking skills or anything," Tommy says wearily, eyeing the growing collection of groceries that Buck is setting out. There's way too much for just one meal. "But when I'm sick like this, I can't really keep anything down. The only thing that ever helped was—"
"—was your grandma's chicken noodle soup recipe, I remember." Buck doesn't look at him. "You keep the recipe card on the fridge, and I might have taken a picture of it one night after–..." After a date, a hookup, simply hanging out. He could've taken the picture at any time over the last six months. "Anyways. I'm pretty sure I have everything to make a batch that'll last long enough for you to get better, so. Go get some rest, Tommy."
Jesus, even after Tommy hurt him by cutting things off the way he did, Buck is still too kind for his own good. He wants to grab him by the shoulders and tell him that he doesn't deserve this kindness, doesn't deserve to be something to worry about anymore. He wants to shake him until the words stick and he lets Tommy go.
Please, let him go and stop giving him hope because this means something, doesn't it? But his heart truly cannot take it any harder than it already has. He blinks tears out of his eyes and clears his throat.
"Okay, Evan. Thank you."

Only wastelands 4
Annnnnd here's part 4 !! I will be honest, I will need some time to finish this series. I know where I'm going, but I can't find the time or energy to write it.

It would have been a lie to say that Y/N hadn't prayed that Janey would be a better traveling companion to Lucy. The vaultie was not bad, but far too naive, talkative, not listening to advices.
Maybe she had been heard, or Cooper had been a great father, but the little girl was a true angel.
Obviously very clever for her age, she didn't need long explanations to see that the world had changed, that it was dangerous, and that it was a good idea to follow Y/N without asking too many questions.
Of course Janey still had some questions. This was perfectly normal. But she waited until they were safe, often before sleeping, to look at Y/N with her big, innocent eyes.
“Are we going to see dad soon ?”
"… Yes. He's not far away." the woman said as she checked her pitboy.
If the information was correct, Lucy was only a few days' walk away, and if Coop was still with her, then he would be reunited with his daughter soon. 219 years without seeing her, without any news, no clue on her location, and the almost evaporated hope of finding her still alive.
Of the things Y/N hadn't yet explained to Janey, the time that had passed since her forced separation from her father was one of the most complicated. The child probably thought she would find the man in the picture, smiling and with pink skin.
She nervously repeated that Cooper had been ill, but couldn't elaborate. Each time, Janey responded that her daddy was strong, and that he would get better soon, especially if they helped him.
Impossible to contradict this adorable child.
If she wanted to lie again, Y/N would have said that she wasn't walking as fast as she could because she wasn't sure what would happen when Janey saw her father. That would probably be a shock. Was she going to scream ? Cry ? Be afraid of him ?
It would break Cooper's heart. And she could repeat that she hated him, that she didn't care at all about his fate, Y/N didn't want to hurt him like that. Anyhow, but not like that.
There was also the possibility that he would react badly to seeing her. Vault Tech was so monstrous, they would have been able to clone Janey, or create a robot that looked like her, or even brainwash her at her mother's request.
He could also think that he had become too monstrous to approach such a pure being without harming her.
Maybe he had abandoned Y/N, thinking only of himself, but he would never do that to his own daughter. She couldn't believe it. The problem was that he would want the best for her, and he might think that was keeping his distance.
Y/N had imagined all these possibilities, but in reality, she knew perfectly well that they would just be happy to have each other again. If she was afraid, it was mainly for herself. For them.
She had been running from him for three years. Not that he seemed to be looking for her, but she had promised herself that their paths would never cross again or it would end badly.
She was not thinking of killing him. First because she had no chance against this cowboy, but above all because Y/N may have hated him for what he had done, she still loved him too much to really want his misfortune.
That was probably why everything was still very painful.
When the Pitboy beeped to indicate that they had arrived at their destination, Y/N observed the ruined building, Janey's hand still holding hers, awaiting orders.
Although fear kept one alive in the wastelands, one should never hesitate. Never.
Cautiously, motioning to the little girl not to make any noise, they approached what was obviously Lucy and the Ghoul's hiding place for the night.
With another gesture, Y/N indicated to Janey to stay at the end of the corridor, while she checked the place, until she found what they were looking for. And if necessary, she should flee.
As none of her reactions were normal, the vaultie seemed happy to see her, greeting her with a huge smile.
Sitting in a corner, hand on his rifle, Cooper didn't look so happy. Surprised, yes, nervous too. With a mixture of sadness and anger. Not really open to a reunion.
But he had celebrated their separation, he had no reason to want to see her again.
Y/N stared at his gun, wondering if he was going to shoot. No movement showed he intended to harm her, but he kept his hand on the trigger. Maybe he thought she was going to try something.
Slowly, so as not to rush him, and ignoring Lucy's long tirades about everything that had happened to them in New Vegas where they had not found her father, Y/N made Janey understand that she could come.
The weapon fell to the floor as she walked through the door. The hatred completely disappeared from Cooper Howard's eyes.
He just sat there, petrified by this vision of his past.
The poor kid shook a little, clinging to Y/N, not understanding what they were doing with these people. So Y/N got down on her level.
"This is Lucy, she was in a shelter like you and me. And… Janey. Janey, here's your father." she whispered with an uncertain voice.
The child looked at her, searching for a lie or joke on her face, before turning back to the Ghoul, who still hadn't moved.
It may have been instinct, the call of blood, or the great intelligence of this kid, but then she found her smile again, finally recognizing the man who was standing there.
"Daddy !"
While he had been stuck since their arrival, Cooper didn't hesitate for a second when Janey ran towards him. He opened his arms to welcome her, lifting her to embrace her tenderly, breathing a sigh of relief that he had been hoping for for two centuries.
Lucy didn't understand everything that was happening, but she placed a hand on her heart in front of this scene, knowing that she had to keep quiet for once. Nothing should spoil this moment.
"Janey… My lil cowgirl…" sobbed Cooper. "You're okay. You're here."
"I missed you, dad. Why didn't you come with me in the car ?"
"He… I told you, there was no more room. I was supposed to join you later, but there were problems. I'm sorry, my angel. I wanted to come."
“Mom said you left me.”
"Your mother… Your mother will have had bad information. I would never have left you. I would always come for you."
The sentence echoed in Y/N’s mind. A broken promise. Without really thinking about it, she touched the picture she always kept in her bag. If it had been of value to Cooper, it hadn't been enough for him to come get her.
Now that he had found Janey, that photo was forgotten. It was long forgotten, like Y/N, who no longer had any value.
At least this story would have a nice ending. Their paths had crossed so that she could bring back his little daughter. He had saved her, she had saved them. They were even now.
Still silent, she left the room, then the building, without attracting attention. Lucy was too busy crying, while Coop obviously only had eyes for his child.
By the time they realized she was gone, Y/N would already be far away.
Maybe the vaultie would want to follow her, thinking about using her pitboy, but there was no reason the cowboy would want the same thing. If his daughter wasn't enough, he would continue to search for the old MacLean, for Barbara, all those responsible for the end of the world.
But not Y/N. Even to thank her. He hadn't looked for her in 3 years, he had no reason to start now.
So it was a surprise when something passed around her at lightning speed, stopping her in her tracks as she was about to advance towards the desert.
It had been a long time, but she remembered that damn lasso and the habit of its owner perfectly.
“Leaving so soon, sweetheart ?”
Why wasn't he with Janey ? Why stop her ? Why not be happy to see her go, like last time ? He already had Lucy to annoy him, and even if he loved her, it wouldn't be easy to survive in this world with a child. Why make her suffer like this ? Why make her believe that she was important ?
She could ask him all these questions and finally get real answers, but Y/N was scared.
No sound came out of her mouth as she turned to face Cooper, who had regained his cold gaze. This blur between despair and hatred. As if he had a reason to be angry with her.
“Think we need to talk.” he said in a slow voice. “A real conversation, sugar.”
And from the man who hated idle chatter, long explanations, and really all human interaction, that was something.

Nyx week 2024 day 5 : Magic/Healing
Also Glaiveweek 2023 day 1 : hurt/comfort
Warning : Graphic depiction of violence, Major character death
Note: Nyxweek 2024 ended about 1 month ago. This is a belated work due to my tight schedule, but I need to finish this short story with two-page comic. Drawing Nyx is always challenging but enjoyable.
.....
Insomnia : The day after Niffelheim's attack
The evacuation from central Insomnia started shortly before dusk, and it deemed accomplished a few hours before dawn.
Most of Niffelhelm's troops pulled back from Crown City before midnight, only General Glauca and some daemons remained fighting with the Old Walls and a Lucian glaive. When the fight was over, the city turned awfully silent. The Nifflhelm's General lain still. His breastplate was covered in blood. His mask was partially broken, so the face of Titus Darutos was exposed in sunlight. His eyes were fully closed and would never open again.
A few meters away, Nyx Ulric, the general's opponent, was leaning against debris. Though he was still alive but he did not look much better than his ex-commander. His skin turned ash gray from Kings of Lucis' fire. They had allowed him to use their power then their fire would burn him to death, as they had agreed.
Nyx sighed. Darutos had been nearly invincible. He should thank Kings of Lucis for being kind enought to give him some extra time. Now his mission accomplished, he did not only revenge Crowe and King Regis, but also save Lady Lunafreya and the the Kingdom's hope. "Not the worst way to go." He whispered to himself and looked up to the sky with a smirk, choosing the beautiful scenery as the last thing he would see.
But a nearby footstep distracted him from his thought. Nyx did not bother turning to see. Whoever came, Nifl or not, it did not matter at all because he was about to pass now. But when he heard a female voice calling his name, he could not help turning to face the source of the sound.
So it made him really startle to witness Lady Lunafreya Nox Ferret rushing toward him.
"I found you! Thank goodness." She said with a smile of relief.
"Why are you here?" He was not sure that was really her or just an illusion, but he still asked.
"To save your life." Lunafreya answered softly. She sat beside him and started healing him. Her fingers glided over his chest, golden aura glowed between her fingers. And it greatly relieved his pain.
"No, stop it, please, stop." He refused. "This is not what you can heal. Darutos couldn't harm me this badly." He paused, collecting more strenght to continue. "I made a contract with the Kings. They made me a nightlong superhero and in the end they'll take my life."
"They will." Lunafreya nodded. "The price must be paid, the Oracle saw it. But her vision showed some more details that caused her to head back." She looked straight into his blue eyes. "Considering all danger and risks awaited, The Kings of Yore agreed, upon the Oracle's appeal, to give the hero another twenty days to finish a mission for their sake, escorting the Oracle and the ring to Tenebrae's border. But they can only temporarily halt the ongoing process so she must undo what had already occurred herself."
Nyx's eyes widened. Lunafreya's magic shone aggressively as she spoke. "Please consider my healing as my plea to you, Nyx. I need your help, one last time."
Nyx was blinded by extremely bright aura for a moment. But when he regained his vision, all the wounds were healed. He saw Lunafreya with sweat all over her face. She looked extremely exhausted and was about to fall. Nyx wrapped his arms around her, offering his support. She rest her head on his shoulder.
"Now rest. We have a long way to go." He said softly.
"Thank you." The Oracle smiled and closed her eyes, passing out in his arms.
"Another contract to sign, huh?" Nyx whispered, smiling at her. "But, you know? If it's about you, I'll help without thinking twice." Lunafreya did not respond. She looked soundly asleep under the shade of him. He looked up to the brighter sky. The sun shone strongly and would make debris too hot to stay soon.
Nyx stood up, carrying her in his arms. Thanked to her magic, he regained enough strength to do so. He wished he had some more to take her to a shelter. They needed some good rest after a very long day. Then he would collect supplies and start making an escape plan. He had another journey to begin, it sounded tough yet amazing.

Cot3 headcanons to warm your soul on a cold rainy day:
Lockwood is almost always the middle spoon but they rotate depending on how badly the nightmares are.
George quickly discovers cannot cope with his bone glass/joplin trauma alone. He needs someone to be there, to hold him through the night terrors, to reassure him and kiss him and keep him safe.
The Kissing Rule is similar to the biscuit rule except Lucy is allowed to kiss either of them any time she wants.
They can always tell what kind of day George is having by the baked goods he makes in the morning.
Lockwood's recklessness is still a problem but he's actively trying to stay alive now. George and Lucy both see it, and kiss him senseless for it.
Lockwood helps George tie his tie (they often get distracted by kissing each other and show up ten minutes late to wherever they need to be).
George has blackmail against Jacob's and Lucy's mom and is fully prepared to destroy them both as soon as Lucy says so.
Lockwood loves training with Lucy. He constantly teases her, sneaking kisses and soft touches as the rapiers swirl around them.
George is always cooking new things for them to eat but can tell when they just need something simple or a comfort food.

Adam was too exhausted to be possed off. Don't get him wrong. He was very pissed off. The first thing that pops into his mind when he thinks of what to be pissed off at, the ultrasound pops into his head.
He wanted go see is baby- babies. On the screen, moving around. Not some random photo.
But then, when he really thinks of what to be pissed off at, he thinks of his mom and sister. Fuck. He already missed them. Of he knew that coffee date was the last time he'd see Emmy, he would never have gone back to the hotel.
Adam looked out into the darkness. He wants to run. So badly. But Lucifer will definitely see. And it's not like he could afford a plane ticket. Wait- he could message them! Where's his phone!?
Adam hunted around his pockets, then went inside to his bag. Lucifer watched as he searched. He didn't step in or help.
Adam: luci, where's my phone?
Lucifer said nothing for a moment. He only spoke when Adam looked up at him.
Lucifer: I don't know, love! Maybe you left ot on the plane
Adam: shit... could you drive me back there? O need to find it-
Lucifer: no, no, no, no~. Impossible, Addie, it's late, we're staying
Adam: impossible? If you dint want to go, I can drive. Just give me your phone so I can use a map and I'll-
Lucifer: Adam, that planes gone! No more plane, nope! It took off for America over an hour ago!
Adam: w-what...? But, Luci, I need to get in contact with my family- they need to know I'm alive!
Lucifer: Adam, we need to lay low for a while! That's the point of being here! No one can know. Not even your family. Not even Charlie knows! I'm in the same-
Adam was starting to panic. Oh no, Charlie doesn't know where we are?! He got fucking kidnapped!
Adam: are you fucking serious!? You kidnapped me! You staged a fucking robbery at my home! I don't give a fuck about Charlie! I don't even know the bitch! You fucking cunt! Take me to the fucking airport-!
((Tw domestic violence- don't worry, things will get better, I promise 😫))
Adam felt a sering pain in his face. He fell back onto the couch, holding his face. It took him a moment to figure out what happened. It was hard to actually focus on what was happening because Lucifer was in his face yelling at him.
Lucifers: Do not fucking insult my daughter! After everything I've fucking done for you-! Don't you DARE do what she did! Onto you dare fucking act like her, Adam!
Adam could help but think this is what Lilith went through before he-? Shit. He needs to calm him down. Lucifer was still yelling at him.
He shrunk back as much as he could and covered himself. He needed to keep an eye on Lucifer just in case. He was only yelling, which was still terrifying, but he could handle that.
Adam: I-I'm sorry luci- I just- my family-
Lucifer: don't you think this is hard for me to? I left my daughter behind! My parents! My siblings!
Adam had no idea Lucifer had siblings. So you'd think he'd be more sympathetic, but no. It doesn't seem like it.
He yelled for an hour before collapsing on the couch next to Adam, exhausted.
Adam tried not to flinch, but he didn't like the fact he was next to him. He tried to shuffle, but stopped when Lucifer looked up at him. He's been crying. Adam didn't notice, he was so quiet.
Adam: ...I'm sorry... for what I said... I'm just... you know... but that's no excuse, I shouldn't have insulted your daughter...
Adam tried not to roll his eyes. That wouldn't be good for his case. But honestly, fuck Charlie and fuck Lucifer. Adam was beyond pissed off, but he had to ask all submissive and scared. He'll just play him for a few weeks, then he'll book it. He'll steal some money and leave- back to America. Then turn the bastard in. Sue him for emotional support- yeah. That's good.
Lucifer: no, no! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have... I'm sorry Adam. I swear, I'm trying to do right by you but I keep hurting you... I'm trying, really I am. Eveything has been so... full on. But I'm obviously not trying hard enough, there was no reason for me to touch you like that. I'm do sorry Adam
Adam was now mad for a whole different reason. He was being so sincere. He couldn't detect a hint of a lie. Fuck. He could feel his heart hurt as Lucifer explained that he was under a lot of stress, too. And that he was trying to keep it off Adam and the babies.
Adam internally: you're not doing a good job...
Lucifer: How about i make us some dinner - and you can have a bath and then sleep for as long as you want!
God, that sounded good. But if Adam wanted to get on his good side again, he was going to play the sweet and domestic housewife. House husband. As long as they don't get married before he makes his escape- oh! He could sell the ring!
Adam: You're stresses to, Luci. Let's cook dinner together, yeah? You need a rest as well
Adam smiled and slowly held his hand. Rubbing his thumb over Lucifers knuckles, he gave him the sweetest smile he could. He was a tad hard because his cheek was just starting to hurt. Or maybe it was hurting before and he's only just noticing it.
Lucifer: really? You don't have to, Addie. I'm the one that... God, I'm so sorry
Lucifer brought Adams hand to his lips and gave his fingers a kiss, mouthing apologies and praises.
Adam couldn't help but blush and bring his other hand to Lucifers face, and held his cheek.
Adam: it's okay, Luci. I forgive you- let's just forget and move on, okay, love?
Lucifer: y-yeah. You're right... let's start cooking then
Lucifer smiled up at Adam, who smiled back.
Cooking with Lucifer was an interesting experience. Everything was smelling delicious. Watching him grab a large knife and start cutting vegetables was... a bit unnerving. But he didn't show his fear, do Lucifer was non the wiser.
Adam actually had a good night. After dinner, they chatted for an hour about everything anything Adam got an hour and a half to himself in the bath, and now they were in bed, cuddling.
Lucifer was kissing every bit of free skin he could, Adam could feel his heart start racing. He didn't want to do anything with Lucifer, not tonight.
But his kisses weren't sexual. They were loving and soft. Adam was blushing furiously. He gasped when Lucifer ran his fingers over his chest scars. They were one of Adam's favorite things about him. They marked the day he really felt like him. But no lovers had ever touched them. They grazed past them. Not even giving them a side glance. But Lucifer touches and kisses them like he loves them as much as Adam does.
He needs to remember his plan. He can't start falling for Lucifer again. He can't.
But fuck, he was.
Alternative Prison Au
@fanofstuff01 @beef-brisket
Adam walked through the doors of the prison in his new guard uniform. He was of course nervous to be working with very violent people, but his mother helped get him the job here.
A woman with short hair greeted him.
Lute: Hello, you must be Adam.
Adam: I am.
Lute: The names Lute Danger. I'll be your commanding officer for the time being. Let me show you around where you'll be working.
She showed him where everything was and where the prisoners are.
Lute: You need to be tough or they will walk all over you. Some will listen, most won't. Don't be afraid to get a little forceful. It's your life or theirs.
As she explained the rules to Adam, one inmate in particular was watching their exchange.
Lucifer internally: Maybe..... Just maybe he could be my ticket out of here.

Yeah I feel the biggest kicker will be once Lucy is promoted hopefully then as you said once they are seen as equals and mainly he’s not her boss, game on then. Still think it will be a hot second before they just confess feelings but that will be when I actually start feeling they will go for it. Neither, I think would try and do anything or confess feelings as long as Tim is her boss. Not saying those feelings aren’t there but they will push them aside but I hope we get to see the struggle they have with that!
Yep exactly my thinking. Of course, I want a lot more action than we have been getting, I mean hello - their chemistry on screen is electric. It sizzles and cracks and pops, and I believe they are both aware of that, so as actors who ship CHENFORD themselves, they maximize their screen time together for us the fans.
I believe something big will happen between them in the premiere. Sex? Probably not, but some super intense make out session as Dim and Juicy? Totally possible.
That will immediately trigger multiple confusing and conflicting emotions. Is this real? Is she faking again? Can I trust this? What does this mean? That kind of thing and they might have a conversation about it, but nothing will really change their situation or their relationship in the immediate. That would trigger drama - and I’m down for watching how the characters navigate that.
I would expect more stolen glances, a lot more awkward, hyper aware situations with other people nearby, and most importantly, the relationships they have with their “others” (they are not significant IMO) will definitely be impacted. I expect one or both of them to dig in and try to force their relationships to get more serious. If Lucy and a Tim are still partners, they already move as one person but I would expect them to be much closer outside of work.
If the time jump happens in such a way that Lucy is promoted to Detective and not in a heavy UC dependent field, then I would expect someone to get badly injured to be the catalyst for both of them to consider life without the other one.
It’s one thing to be in love with your best friend (sadly, I can relate to this), who you’ve invested so much time, love and affection in, helping them grow and be a better person - and yet not completely be with them. But at least they are alive, and you see them at work or wherever and the pining becomes an ache that never leaves. You get to see them happy - which is great, but pretty hollow feeling, but it’s not the same as being in love with them while being with them.
But it’s quite another thing, to have no contact with them at all, if they die. You regret every decision that led you away from them. The What Ifs kick in. And that can be a personal tormented kind of hell.
My best friend Sam died when he was 30 and I was 28. I loved him something fierce, but I didn’t believe I was “worthy” of being with him. Our friends tried endlessly to set us up, I just wouldn’t let go of the “I’m not worthy” mantle. And now, over 20 years later, I still wonder what if I had opened up to the possibility? He could have been my greatest love and maybe he wouldn’t have died of brain cancer so young. Anyway. Someone asked me the source of my angst - and it’s when I found out he was dying and I didn’t know he was sick.
So for Chenford, even if they are apart after the time jump, their feelings will still be there, ready to burst forth. They’ll just need a nudge. I’m really interested to see how that all plays out.
#MonkeyThinks#chenford#tim bradford#lucy chen#i love them#tim x lucy#the rookie#i'm in chenford withdrawal#the hiatus is killing me#circumstances can change#but those feelings won’t#stomp those feelings down until they are nudged back into the open#i love this so much

What is it about brightheart that makes her such a target for bad behavior? Is she just unlucky or her size or ...?
Her size, stance, and the general timing.
Brightheart is the smallest sexually mature hen in the loft.
She stands very horizontally overall.
And each of the boys I have brought in have just reached sexual maturity, and were, at the time, the biggest, heaviest cocks in the loft.
Basically, the pigeon equivalent of eight foot tall musclebound horny 18 year olds, too big and too stubborn for the adults to effectively teach manners to,
Saw this itty bitty hen, too small to effectively rebuff unwanted advances, whose natural stance looks a lot like she's about to crouch to beg some one to tread her.
And they didn't even ask before basically using her as a masturbatory aide.
Like, no attempt at courtship went into this.
Popcorn was an exception to the teen trend (Having hatched in 2016), but not to the too big to stop trend.
He is bigger than all the other boys, and they showed out like they did after he came in.
Wess stole her eggs and fought Farthing over who got to sit them.
When she paired with Kuhcoo and settled to set, Wess kept trying to drag Kuhcoo off the eggs and take them just like he had with Farthing. (Which is why Hope was fostered under Couture and Lucy)
Komodore laid eggs in the nest above hers and was fine while Brightheart was sitting eggs.
But when the eggs hatched, she lost her shit and drove Brightheart off and killed her hatchlings for being too close to her new nest.
Kuhcoo actually *was* Brightheart's mate. The babies Komodore drove her off of and killed were his.
But he was more excited about the sex part than the babies part, and just wanted to tread her again, which she absolutely did not want while there was still one nestling alive.
He came in because it was clear he wasn't going to help or even let her get to the last ramaining chick.
After she paired up with officially with Imp and laid eggs in a floor level nest, she was the only hen who couldn't fight Cinnamon off when he wanted to tread.
After she and Imp picked a higher box, Bridget, who had been a model flock citizen up to that point, got frustrated with his wife refusing to leave their fake egg and start a new clutch.
Dragging Brightheart off of her eggs was meant to impress Velour and encourage her into the newly won nest.
The other hens are all bigger than bright heart, except for Chiffon.
And Chiffon responds to big cocks trying to corner and force her or go after her chicks by going straight for their fucking eyes until Satin comes to back her up.
Brightheart probably physically could, but she was badly traumatized by Radish exposing her skull and neck vertebrae when they were shipped here together.
Shutting down was what got her here alive. In the dark box where he couldn't see her, long as she didn't move, Radish had no further trigger to attack her.
(This is why cocks need a divider when shipped with other birds)
So that's what she does when she's attacked in the loft, and it's maladaptive in that environment.
Her antagonists mistake her shut down for acceptance and are encouraged rather than warned off.
It also prevents her mate from coming to her rescue, because he mistakes it for docile acceptance as well, and has no way of knowing he needs to intervene.

FFXV | Headcanons | S/O getting hurt during a battle
Request: Okay then 😌 May I request HCs of the chocobros (separated) with a S/O that gets really hurt in battle? Like, almost dead xD Ohhhh and for extra angsty points, they argued before the battle 👀🔥 Pfff I forgot, with a fluffy ending in the end, like you wanted 😅💕 [by @kirahhhh]
A/N: This is the stuff I need!! ♥ Hope you enjoy!
Pairing(s): Gladiolus Amicitia x reader; Ignis Scientia x reader; Noctis Lucis Caelum x reader; Prompto Argentum x reader
+++
• Gladio could be an ass sometimes, no doubt about that. You always knew he was protective and slightly on the jealous side... but sometimes it just got ridiculous and constricting. You couldn’t take this anymore. While you didn’t want to break up with him, something needed to change. So, you tried talking to him about it. Of course he would dodge all your attempts to talk this out with him. He would never admit that he was jealous. Or that this jealousy was just so intense because he was SO afraid to lose you. He felt so stupid for being insecure like that. But he couldn’t help it.
• So naturally, you two ended up fighting. And fighting with Gladio was never pretty. You two would yell and scream at each other, throwing around insults and finally going over to ignoring each other. It was always a hell of a mess until you two would sit down and actually talk it out, which would usually happen the next day. In the end you could never go long without each other.
• Until that one day where stuff went down before you two could make up. What was supposed to be a normal hunt, nothing extraordinary, ended up being a fight for life and death. Who could have known that a damn Behemoth would lurk in the forests? Gladio could punch himself for not checking beforehand. At least all of you got out of the fight alive. More or less as he had to admit when he saw the huge gash along your side where the Behemoth got you with his horns.
• Gladio hated himself. Why did he say all those awful things to you? How could he ever let that happen? Why didn’t he protect you? You deserved so much better than him. What if those words were the last thing he ever said to you? What if he couldn’t apologize and make things right? Could he live with that kind of guilt for the rest of his life?
• He stayed at your side until you finally woke up. He was a mess. He actually tried to break up with you. Gladio was ready to let you go - to protect you. From himself and this lifestyle. But you wouldn’t let him. It took some time but in the end you convinced him that this is what you wanted. All you were asking for was a little more reason and communication when things didn’t go well between the two of you. Gladio was more than ready to work on that. You both were. It goes without saying that you both never had a fight like that anymore.
• Ignis spent a lot of time at the Citadel. It was frustrating sometimes. You always seemed to be on second place. Of course you knew that his jobwas important. But sometimes... just sometimes you wished you would feel equally important for him. It was almost impossible to really fight with Ignis. He could stay incredibly calm, even in the most stressful situations. Arguments or fights were no exceptions. But even Ignis had his limits. And when he felt like he was about to snap he “officially” ended the discussion and would simply ignore you if you tried to bring that topic up again.
• But there was one time where Specs just... exploded. Not in public of course, but once you two were in the private of your own home. You went out with a friend of yours. A male friend to be precise. On a night that was usually reserved for you and Ignis - but he was working. Naturally you didn’t see a problem with spending that now free time however you wanted. If Ignis could turn you down for work, you could go out with someone else, right? It’s not like this was a date or something. Just two friends having coffee.
• But Ignis was livid. You had never seen him like this before. He was yelling and swearing... and at one point you just walked out. You wouldn’t let him talk to you like that, nor would you get down on his level and talk back like that. How dare he? Treating you like property, pushing you away all the time only to act like he owns you when things don’t go his way?
• When you left, Ignis finally cooled down. This wasn’t fair. It wasn’t and he knew it. He knew he was acting irrational. But he couldn’t help it. He had been botteling up his emotions for too long. He wanted to spend time with you. He hated disappointing you by cancelling yet another date. He hated it. But alas - what could he do? He had a duty to fulfill. But then again... he didn’t want to let you down. He was scared to lose you, which is why he snapped when he saw you with your friend. He couldn’t stand the thought of being without you. The thought of you finding comfort in another man’s arms. No. He needed to talk to you. Now.
• Unfortunately... he was too late. You got involved in a fight just around the corner and were badly injured. Someone tried to rob a bank. Yes, you were able to stop the robber... but at what cost? Ignis was heartbroken when he stood next to your bed at the hospital, watching your unmoving form, being kept alive by those various tubes and machines. It was horrible. Would you ever wake up again? The doctors were unsure. Ignis knew you were strong... but... well maybe that was his punishment for being a disappointment.
• He was so relieved when your eyes fluttered open after countless, excruciating days. He half expected that you would tell him to leave as your eyes landed on him. But to his surprise you smiled at him. Weakly... but it was there. Ignis knew as well as you did, that this was neither the time nor the place to talk about what happened between you two. For now you were both glad you had each other again. Life wasn’t finish with both your stories yet.
• “Princes will be Princes.” Prompto once said. And when it came to this... there was no Prince like Noctis. He was a spoilt brat. And sometimes he acted like one too. And sometimes... that was driving you crazy. He could have the worst attitude if something happened that he didn’t like. It was ridiculous. Frustrating. Nerve-wrecking even. It was like he turned into a pouty 4-year-old. You couldn’t talk to him properly, let alone reason with him. All you could do was to accept his pouting and wait for it to go away... or do what he wants to make him happy again.
• You were so sick of it. Sick of that man-child always getting his way. Sick of always having to act like you were okay with his tantrums. And one night, you had enough. You snapped. Yelled at him. Called him out on his ridiculous behavior. And what did he do? He yelled back. It wasn’t pretty. You had never seen him like that. Did you go too far? No, it was about time somebody did something about his antics. Maybe snapping at him wasn’t the right way to behave. But him telling you that he didn’t need you and that you were annoying anyway, was definitely worse.
• You two had your occasional quarrels, but it never escalated into a fully blown fight like this. Neither of you knew how to deal with that, so you both did what you thought was best: Ignored each other until the other one would cave. Who would have thought, that a Granhorn would run you over before you two could sort things out?
• Yes, your head wasn’t fully in the game when the five of you went hunting - understandably. And the fact, that this Grandhorn was hidden, until the very moment it came out of the bushes and trampled you, didn’t make it any better. You instinctively curled in on yourself and wrapped your arms around your head, but you still took quite a bad beating. Bones were breaking, skin was tearing, and you felt all of it.
• Noctis panicked. This wasn’t supposed to happen. You weren’t supposed to get injured like this? How dare you? He yells at Ignis to do something, to fix you. He can’t stand the slight whimper that escapes your throat, it tears his heart apart. You shouldn’t suffer. Not mentally, not physically. And now you were suffering in both ways - just because of him and his incompetence to deal with his life. He wanted to slap himself. It was all his fault.
• Noctis refuses to leave your side once Ignis patched you up and tucked you into your sleeping bag at the camp. Night had already fallen, so driving back to Insomnia was much too dangerous. The men just hoped that you didn’t have any internal injuries and that you would make it through the night. Noctis felt helpless as he watched your unconscious form, your chest barely rising and falling. His hand stroked your hair gently as he made the decision to never let it come to a point like this anymore. He didn’t want to fight with you. He didn’t want you to hate him. He was determined to fix things as soon as you woke up. Until then, he would just sit there next to you and read you some of your favorite stories. That was the one thing he could do for you right now. After all, you loved listening to his voice.
• Fighting with Prompto was almost impossible. Almost. After all, he was a very soft individual and needed harmony at all costs - which is the reason he never talks back, even if he’s being pushed around. He never speaks up and he does everything to make everyone happy... without looking out for himself. Yes, it was great that he always wanted to maintain the peace and harmony within the group - but at what cost?
• You were trying to help him with his insecurities, supporting him whenever possible, teaching him to stand up for himself and his opinions. But when it came to it, Prompto always caved and took the easy way out of a confrontation by backing down. This happened one too many times now.
• Yes, you were angry. Yes, you yelled at him. Yes, you were a tiny bit unfair to him. And yes, it was unexpected that Prompto found his voice right in that moment. Of course you were glad, that he finally stood up for himself... you just wished it wouldn’t have been like this. It was ugly. You were screaming at each other, throwing around harsh words and nasty insults - neither of you deserved that.
• Prompto felt incredibly bad when you slammed the door shut as you left. He had such a bad conscience about lashing out at you like that. It wasn’t like him. What had gotten into him? Was it because it was a generally stressful time currently? Or was it because you were constantly trying to change him? He had to talk to you about that. He knew that you weren’t actually trying to change him, you wanted to help him. But maybe... just maybe it was a little too much. He needed to make things right with you. Now.
• He sprinted after you - but it was too late. The only thing he found was your unconscious, bleeding form in the middle of the street. Prompto was freaking out. What was he supposed to do? Get you to safety. Get you to a doctor. Find whoever did this. Thoughts were racing through his head. He tried to sort them, tried to find the right thing to do. But... he only came around when someone was calling for help and tending to your wounds.
• It had been the worst couple days of his life, until the doctors finally said that you would be alright. It was close. Too close. But you would make it. You would come back to him. Until then, he would sit right next to you and read your favorite stories to you and tell you about his day, how he finally managed to assert himself in a certain matter. He could have sworn that the corners of your lips twitched slightly when he told you that. Even when being in a state like this, you were still showing Prompto, that you were there for him. You truly were the best thing that ever happened to him.

Lucifer woke up with Adam curled around him, tail and all. He had no idea what time it was but he could feel the sun rays on his skin. With a content sign, he rolled around and locked eyes with Michael.
Michael?!
Michael: good morning.
Lucifer: ...good morning... Michael
Michael: please, call me daddy~
Lucifer flinched when he felt- and heard Adam laugh. Really fucking hard.
Adam: holt shit! Did my brother get some old man dick!?
Michael: more like he got my divine sword~!
Adam: dirty bitch!
Lucifer really wished he wasn't listening to this conversation, especially while still experiencing the bliss of his multiple orgasms last night.
He stayed in bed a bit longer while Adam and Michael were in the kitchen drinking coffee and chatting. Lucifer chuckled, they reminded him of those old ladies he'd see at cafes on his way to the Vatican. They'd still be sitting their talking when he was heading home.
It wasn't until two hours later that his father hobbled down the stairs. He looked dead to the world. Lucifer was standing near the table with his own coffee, Adam changed the lounge back once he got up.
Teddy looked at Lucifer. Who looked back. They both saw the marks of eachothers necks but didn't say anything about it.
Lucifer: coffees on the bench in the kicthen
Teddy: mhmm
They eventually went out back to the garden to join Adam and Michael who were comparing wings for some reason.
Adam: Ha! Told you mime are bigger!
Michael: I'm letting you win by using my smallest set of wings, Adam. You should be thanking me
Adam: oh of course~, thank you for realizing I'm better than you at something!
Michael: I wish father didn't make you a mouth
Adam: bitch-!
Lucifer couldn't stop staring at them, we'll, to be specific, he couldn't stop staring at Adam. Mainly, his babies. He's starting to long for them. He was sure he could be patient, but he wanted them in his arms so badly.
Maybe he should ask Adam to take him to Hell sometime, he should learn about the place before raising his children there.
He couldn't help but crave to see them running around his garden. This was a place his mother planted, he's just kept it alive.
Would it confuse the babies to raise them in Hell sometimes, then move up to Earth? Adam did say it can take a lot of power to be on Earth. Will it be hard for the babies? Will Lucifer have to deal with dead bodies just to keep his children on Earth? Would he even be willing to do that?
Adam walked over, snapped him out of his thoughts, kissing him on the head. Teddy has taken over talking to Michael.
Adam: Luci? You okay?
Lucifer: yeah ducky... just... thinking
Adam: That's dangerous. What you thinking about, babe?
Lucifer: just- about the future. What Hell would be like, what the babies will be like
Adam: mmm
Lucfier: are we able to raise them on Earth?
Adam: sometimes... I'm still bound to Hell, I'll need to head back, to gain some energy back. These last few days has taken a lot out of me, and now more the ever because I've lost the power of the Vatican. But it's okay! I'm fine and the babies are fine, and you're definitely fine~
Lucifer: addy~. You're making me blush~
Adam: good, that's the whole point~
Lucifer: how long will you be gone for?
Adam: a week, two weeks at the most. Not long, you can come with me if you want? I can show you around Hell. The different Rings, maybe meet the Sins?
Lucifed: ha! you mean my step kids?
Adam: you could adopt them if you'd like~
Lucifer: let's see how these three go, before I adopt the literal embodiments of sin.
Adam: fair enough, babe
Lucifer looked up at Adam. He really wanted to ask about the babies. Maybe he could make them 7 months? Or 8? Could he... add a baby? He really shouldn't want more, he's already got three. And he's got eternity to have more children with Adam. Besides, how many kids can he even handle? Maybe 10? Or he should keep the small number for now.
Lucifer smiled and leaned against Adam, watching the clouds rolls by, trying to ignore the horrible flirting going on between his father and Michael.
He cod get use to having a family.
A weird one, but at least they all care for each other. Sometimes.

---
Lucifer drove through the country side, he's been behind the wheel for nearly 5 hours. He didn't realize how much of a drive getting to this monastery. He knew it was remote but this is getting ridiculous- he should have brought snacks.
He glanced out his window every now and then to take in the scenery. He's currently driving past a large body of water, where he spotted a small island. He wishes he was over there, with no worries or expectations. With no one but himself. The Vatican has been on his ass lately about making this trip. Apparently, there was something 'dark- and 'unsettling' at this monastery. If any of the priests he knew were anything to go by, it was probably just them. He swore they refused to die, they had more wrinkles than brain cells.
Lucifer turned his radio up, some type of rock song was one, it was a big no no to be listening to music like this, it's his car. Driver picks the music, and the Vatican shuts their cake hole.
Finally, as the sun was setting, Lucifer arrived at the monastery. The large stone building loomed over him, maybe the Vatican was right, this place was unsettling. He felt like he was being watched, the multiple colours in the sky masking how decrepit this place actually is. Pulling out a brochure from his pocket, Lucifer couldn't help but smirk, they're really trying to market this place like it's a holiday retreat.
Lucifer: "Welcome to the Hazbin. Find not only sanctuary and enlightenment but also beaches and the best crab around!" ...right, definitely staying away from the crab then...
After an exhausted sign, Lucifer licked his car and picked up his bags. Making his way towards the large wooden doors, Lucifer couldn't help but dread the next two or three hours, all he wanted was to hop into bed and close the world off foe a few hours but he'd probably have to take the whole tour and- ew- meeting people.
He shuddered at the thought.
Lucifer: I wonder if I could convince them to leave the formalities till tomorrow...
Lucifer gripped a huge, iron door knocker and banged it three times. He knew this could take a while so he prepared to get comfortable- until the door was pulled open.
Priest: Hello! And welcome to the Hazbin! How can I assist you this fine evening!
Lucifer: uh- yeah- hi, my name Luicfer, I've been told to come here by the Vatican- I've been told you're expecting me...?
Priest: hm... Lucifer...
The man flicked through a small book, humming every so often. What's the point in having glasses if you still can't read a damn book.
Lucifer: look man- sir- it's been a long drive, I'd really like to just get to sleep-
Priest: ah! Yes! Here you are, Lucifer! Please, come right in! We've been expecting you for hours, your overseer said you would be here this morning- but better late than never I suppose!
The man moved aside to let Lucifer in. He really didn't like this guy, but that's not new, priest are pretty... eccentric.
The man shit the door behind him, using at least six locks to secure it.
Priest: pardon my manners, Lucifer! My name is Alastor- Father Alastor. And I'll be your superior while you're here
Ah, great. He has to answer to this... lovely man. Forcing a smile, Lucifer did what he did best: lie.
Lucifer: that's very exciting Father Alastor, look forward to working with you and getting to know this place more personally!
Alastor: oh, I could imagine! I'm sure you've heard a lot about me! I've been in charge of five other monasteries before this one! All saw a raise in volunteers and profits.
Lucifer: that's fantastic, Father. It's a real honor to be working on this project with you-
Alastor: "project", yes, that's one word to describe it.
Alastor lead Lucifer down a long hall, hebcouldbt believe how quiet it was. He was told there were at least 60-70 nuns and other workers here but it just seemed abandoned.
Thankfully, Alastor showed Lucifer to his room, it was large with a queen bed in the middle. It didn't have much furniture, just a set of draws and a desk out looking the garden. It was dead and overgrown, but the air was fresh, he'll have to start taking up writing again.
Alastor: well! Lucifer, it is a real pleasure to have you here! Tomorrow I'll show you around and I introduce you to some of the other occupants here- there are quite a few so I do expect you to introduce yourself to some of them in your own time.
Lucifer dumped his bags on his bed, and turned to face Alastor.
Lucifer: that understandable. Thank you for this Alastor, I'll see you in the morning-
Alastor: bright and early Mr Lucifer. I like to get the day started as the break of dawn
Of course he does.
Lucifer: great! I better get some sleep then
Alastor: yes, you should. Goodnight Lucifer
Finally, Lucifer was alone. Or at least he hoped. He still hasn't shaking that feeling from earlier. Except this time, he was certain nothing was watching him, Alastor seemed to be the only other living thing here. And that's giving the bastard a lot of credit. Not once did he stop smiling- Lucifer already wants to wipe that look off his face.
All Lucifer wanted to do was sleep, so he got comfortable and started to drift off.

How could I NOT post something for that damn hug!? Maybe I’ll write something from Tim’s view?
“A hug,” Lucy said quietly. After the whirlwind of the last twenty four hours, Lucy felt drained and exhausted. She hadn’t even begun to process the loss of Jackson, she was just numb. And it scared her. She wanted to feel anything, something, then this nothingness. Tim didn’t hesitate to wrap her in his arms and cradle her head to his chest. She felt the warmth through his sweatshirt, could hear his heart beating quickly, and could smell the fresh soap he used after his shower. She had his back in a vice grip, she felt safe in his arms, and wanted to stay like this until she felt like a person again.
It felt like time slowed and the world melted away. All she cared about was being enclosed by his arms, allowing him to fill every corner of her mind. She breathed in only Tim, and felt her pulse quicken at being so close to him. She let out a breath, and felt his catch in his chest as he pulled away abruptly. The hug seemed to have lasted too long and not long enough.
Her gaze took in his exposed collarbone, the scruff on his neck and jaw, and finally landed on his lips. Her heart beat loud and strong in her ears as his hands worked their way down her arms. He seemed determined to look anywhere but her face. She unconsciously moved closer to him, slightly on her tiptoes, eyes still glued to his lower face, the idea of kissing him sprung forward without a warning. She felt his left hand graze back up her arm and suddenly his steel-blue eyes found hers. Her heart skipped a beat, it was like he read her mind and she felt like a deer caught in headlights. She blinked and leaned back slightly, realizing they were too close. She caught him looking at her lips, and heard him take a quick breath. She felt the questions written plain across her face and in her own eyes, feelings she hadn’t even known she had laid out in front of him. He quickly met her eyes, and she noticed they looked as confused as she felt. She was overwhelmed with new feelings, she couldn’t think straight. He whispered a quick good night without meeting her eyes again. She tried to catch them one last time, feeling that something was brewing underneath that she couldn’t name, but he was not giving her the satisfaction. She could only say “night” before he left her, grazing her shoulder with his.
Her heart was beating too quickly, her head felt like it was wading through mud as she tried to make sense of all that just had occurred. She walked to the couch he had set up for her and got underneath the covers. She was staring at the ceiling, but was only thinking of Tim and the hug. She thought back over the last few days, from coming to rescue her to asking her to save him a dance at the wedding. Her mind flashed to when he pulled her over, and flirting with him came much easier than she thought. She remembered being ecstatic when he came rushing into the hanger with Harper and teased that he thought she needed help. She felt light on her feet when he said she did good taking down two gangs, his smile warming her. And now, offering her his place as a safe haven for her when he knew she needed it the most. She looked towards the hall, wondering what he was thinking at this very moment. Lucy felt conflicted, she was devastated at losing Jackson, but somehow in that vast sea of sadness, she felt that she needed to be near TIm. Wanted to be near him because he made the darkness fade and made her feel alive and present. It was a better option than the dark sea of devastation that threatened her at all sides. She just wanted to forget about every bad thing that had happened since the wedding, and Tim’s arms offered her that. She didn’t want to think too much about the implications of wanting to be in Tim’s arms, that maybe this wasn’t a sudden realization as much as a feeling she beat down inside her since he recovered from the bioweapon attack. Feelings that would’ve been inappropriate to even entertain while he was her teacher.
But now, they were equals, no longer in a teacher and student dynamic, things could be different. She sat up and threw the covers off at that train of thought. She stopped it there, she didn’t want to think past tonight. She just wanted to knock on his door and climb back into his arms, and let whatever else happen, happen. She’d deal with the consequences tomorrow, or after they got Angela back, or never. She didn’t care, her best friend was dead and she wanted Tim badly. She stood up just as his door opened, and she scrambled back onto the couch. For a second, she thought he was about to do exactly what she wanted, but then she heard him on the phone. He rounded the corner quickly and told her that Wesley had Angela’s location.
All thoughts of Tim flew from her mind, as she jumped off the couch to change clothes. Saving their friend came above all else, so Lucy pushed down on her emotions and feelings, deciding to deal with those another day.

Chain of Iron Review
Like my Chain of Gold review (which you can find on my post list or here) this is going to be a hot mess of emotions and feelings with very many spoilers. If you’re wondering if you should read this book (a review without spoilers) my thoughts are go fricking read everything by Cassandra Clare and fall in love with me. Yes, I highly recommend everything that woman has touched with a pen. But besides that, let's get into this review.
Characters
James Herondale- first let's start with one of the main characters who was a big part of this novel. To be honest I don’t have much to say about him personally without getting into his relationships with others and the plot points in the book (which I will talk about later), but I guess I will talk about my love for him. I was unsure at first (before Chain of Gold) how I was going to feel about James and if he would be a typical Herondale boy and be very similar to his father or his descendant, Jace. I was worried that he would be too similar to Will and Jace that he would not stand out, but like in Chain of Gold, I was very happy with his individual character traits and personality. While he is like Will and Jace, James is also very different and his own person. He’s a typical heart throb Herondale, while still having this very reserved and responsible side to him that I love so much. His only flaw is something he can’t control, so yeah… strong character.
Cordelia Carstairs- Like last book, I LOVE Cordelia, although this book was harder to read because of what she went through. Multiple times I wanted to just give her a hug and let her cry on my shoulder. I wish she hadn’t had to go through so much trauma in this book, but I know she’ll become a better character because of it. The whole ordeal with being Lilith’s paladin hurt very much, her unrequited (not really) love for James was heartbreaking to see continuously played on (I JUST WANTED THAT DAMN GRACELET OFF), and the parts about her father also hurt. I need to read Chain of Thorns now, just to make sure that Cordelia is alright in the end.
Matthew Fairchild- talking about Matthew makes me sad because I absolutely love him as a character and I just need him to get better. I’m so happy that he opened up to Cordelia in this book, but I need him to start loving himself again. The pain I feel when reading about him trembling and drinking himself to honestly too much (especially since he’s just a fictional character). And that’s really all I want for Matthew, is for him to be okay one day.
Grace Blackthorn- this was very interesting in Chain of Iron because we got a lot of flashback scenes from Grace’s point of view and that made me not hate her as much anymore. I still am very annoyed at her, but I like that I can finally see more of her side and sympathize with her. I’m very interested to see more of her character development, especially individually without all the stuff with James obscuring my image of her.
Lucie Herondale- someone else that I found I loved much more in this book was Lucie. In the last book, from what I can remember, Lucie was a little interesting at parts (I kind of want to say annoying, although that’s a little too harsh of a word), but I loved her in this book. She had much more character development (I thought) and her personality came out more in a less hectic way. Her inner thoughts started to make more sense to me, and I loved learning more about her as not someone who is just James’s sister, or Cordelia’s future parabatai, but as her own person.
Jesse Blackthorn- Another character I loved to see more of although we mostly just saw him through Lucie’s eyes, and I also already loved him even before. He became a much more understanding and developed character in this book and I can’t wait to see more of him now that he’s alive!
Alastair Carstairs- I totally fell in love with him in this book too! Holy shit, all I wanted to do was hug him and tell him that it would all be alright. Because he is an older sibling I think I can relate to him a lot more now, especially with all this baggage that he was keeping and trying to protect Cordelia from. I found the scenes with just him in them (like when he’s thinking about the future while looking out the window in his house after his father dies and thinking about his new baby sibling that will be born) absolutely amazing and captivating. Obviously I used to hate him because of the short stories that he was in the Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy and other extra short stories, but now I need more of him and I’m internally hurting for him.
Thomas Lightwood- Another character I am hurting for and I just need him to be okay. I loved and hated the fact that he felt so hurt for James because of the killer and he wanted to unburden James by catching the killer. I was just so moved but also so angry that he was putting himself in danger that it was a very emotional time reading (like me clutching the book and shouting at Thomas to stop and go back). But I will always love Thomas and can’t wait to see more of him.
Christopher Lightwood- Last but certainly not least, is Christopher, who I am obsessed with. That one POV moment that we had from him was one of my favourites and now I need to hear from him more. I love all of his quirks and his inner thoughts are the most adorable thing but also makes me sad because he has no one but Henry to share them with and who fully understands and appreciates him for who he is. Also I still really find it wild that he’s the son of Cecily and Gabriel, who aren’t science-y people at all and who are both much more sarcastic characters, while Christopher is just so sweet and perfect. (Not saying Cecily and Gabriel aren’t perfect, but still never would have imagined them to have a kid like Christopher, but at the same time I find it so perfect that they did). Also I just love Christopher so much! I know I said that already, but I just can’t get over it. I need more of his inner thoughts and just more of HIM.
Relationships
Now we can finally talk about the characters in terms of their relationships with other characters and since I was just talking about Christopher I need to start with…
Christopher and Grace! — I loved that little moment they shared when they were in Henry’s laboratory and were bonding of the pithos. It was the best moment in the whole book and I keep thinking about it in my head. I know of the family tree from the Clockwork Princess inside cover, it says that Christopher and Grace will get married and have the Lightwood offspring, but I just hadn’t really realized that significance until now. They are so cute together and even though I have expressly said I hated Grace in the past, the way she understood Christopher and the way they could talk together, warmed my heart so much and was the most redeeming part of Grace’s character for me. I just need more moments of Grace and Christopher.
Now to the next most pressing relationship…
The James, Cordelia, Matthew love triangle!
Let's start with Cordelia and James— I love them together. Even with all the annoying shit with James and the bracelet, their relationship shone in this book and I was so happy about it. They are so perfect for each other and all of their moments together I was bursting with joy. Their chemistry, but also their solid foundation for their relationship is so well written that it’s impossible for me not to see them as together. This is their story and I’m in love with it.
Now Cordelia and Matthew— I also love them, but probably not as much. The thing is, I’m just obsessed with Matthew, so while I love the relationship just because I want Matthew to find happiness, I think James and Cordelia are better together. The problem is with Matthew is that he needs to work on himself first before he could ever hope to fully love someone else and share a life with someone else. I’m very happy for the moment though that Matthew has Cordelia at his side and that he even shared his biggest secret with her because I do think that Cordelia has the capacity to help Matthew (maybe even on this trip to Paris) but I also don’t want it to be too much for Cordelia since she already had to deal with similar issues with her dad and I don’t want it to bring up hard memories for her. But either way I just need the next book to see what happens after that VERY emotional cliffhanger. Cassie did me dirty with that one.
James and Grace— Well I hate the fricking bracelet (also side note, I absolutely love that the fandom nicknamed the bracelet, gracelet. I love that so much). But I also see why Grace felt like she had to put it on and why she couldn’t take it off, but it still makes me so mad. Especially the way she still felt she could manipulate James in the end because she had nowhere else to go. I hate that part of her, the part that her mother taught her that it’s okay to manipulate men. But I was also so happy how James went off on her at the end, it was very satisfying until Cordelia ran off, but still very happy that James got to yell at Grace like that.
Lucie and Jesse— another couple I am now fully invested and in love with. This book made me like Lucie more BECAUSE of her development with Jesse. I liked Jesse before, but this book, where we got to see lots of their development as a couple and be completely honest with each other, sealed the deal for me. I can’t wait to read more about Jesse and Lucie in the future because I am so happy for them and so in love with their love, it’s actually kind of ridiculous.
Alastair and Thomas— again, I just fell completely in love with them in this book. The scenes with them locked up together were some of my favorite scenes, but I was beyond sad when Alastair still broke it off with Thomas in the end. I needed one couple to find some sort of happy at the end of this book, but all of them ended badly! I was very mad, but I can’t wait for the next book to see them get together (because they have to get together).
Anna and Ariadne— I just love Anna so much and I want her to be happy, but in this book I also felt for Ariadne too. At first I didn’t like her because of the fact that she broke Anna’s heart, but now seeing her try so hard to make up with her… it just makes my heart break for the both of them. Also the only parts in this book that had these two in it, were scenes about their relationship, which is why I didn’t have anything to say about their individual personalities, but I would like to add that Anna is definitely one of my favourite Lightwoods and one of the best minor characters in the Shadowhunter universe.
Lucie and Cordelia— for these two I wish that we had more scenes of them as friends, but I think one of the most powerful parts of this book that made it so sad, was the fact that Cordelia and Lucie didn’t talk. The way the two girls were by themselves with their problems definitely was a huge factor of why everything went bad, and I’m very certain that if Lucie and Cordelia had talked more, things would have ended differently. So I see and understand why they weren’t able to be the parabatai pals that I wanted them to be, but I still am waiting desperately for more scenes of the two of them just being friends. Another reason I cannot wait for the last book of the series.
Grace and Jesse— because of all the flashback scenes of Grace, I was able to appreciate her relationship with her brother more. The bond that they have between brother and sister is so strong and beautiful that it’s another thing that redeems Grace as a character, and makes me sympathize a lot more with her.
The Merry Thieves— just want to say that I love them so much. I will always love them and I just need more scenes of the group of them plus Lucie, Anna, and Cordelia. That is all.
Plot
For plot details in this book, I just have a couple things to talk about, the first being: WHERE THE FUCK WAS THE REAL MAGNUS! Honestly, I know where he was, but I felt so betrayed when Lilith revealed herself to be a pretend Magnus. Every Shadowhunter book has Magnus helping to save the day, and my theory is that the reason everything went so shitty was because Magnus wasn’t there. Jem and Magnus are always needed for these Shadowhunter children who just keep getting caught up into shitty situations. He better help more in the next book (which I already know he will, since at the end of Chain of Iron he was there with Will). On that note, I also thought it was clever of Cassie to have Will and Tessa gone for the majority of the book, because I feel like if they had been there, shit wouldn’t have gotten that bad, both concerning Belial and the kids’ love lives. It wouldn’t have been believable if they had been there but all the events happened in the same way, because I’m pretty sure Will or Tessa would have given more advice to James and Lucie.
Secondly, that was some crazy business with Belial and Lilith, and also I’m so excited that Lilith is back. I think she’s such an interesting villain being Adam’s first wife and all. But also I don’t like who she’s a manipulative bitch, but I think that’s part of her charm.
Next, the gracelet. I hate it. Period. Glad it’s off.
Next plot point— all the stuff with Malcolm! Oh my goodness that was so interesting to see how Malcolm’s villain origin story started. I can’t actually believe that it was Grace that told Malcolm straight up about Annabel (I can actually believe it, I just think it ironic that she’s also a Blackthorn, and really only Blackthorns seem to have messed up Malcolm’s life). I’m very interested to see more of what he does with Jesse and Lucie now that Jesse is alive and Malcolm knows more about Lucie’s powers.
Lastly, I wanted to touch on the extra short story from the first editions of Chain of Iron, with Magnus and Jem. I think that it was an important scene concerning the future Eldest Curses novel, The Black Volume of the Dead, and maybe even the Wicked Powers series. It just made me even more excited for the future Shadowhunters books and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us moving forward!
And that’s all I have to talk about. Thank you if you read to the end and were able to sift through my thoughts. This is totally unedited, so sorry for stupid mistakes and such.
Until next time!

Seklos and Gaylen, They Were Cagemates! Chapter 1: Captivity
Agents of Area 49-B are there during the chaos of the Eternal Night, and unnoticed they manage to capture two specimens: an emo wizard and an Akiridion prince. Douxie and Krel must rely on each other to make it out alive, but neither expected such a deep bond to form between the two of them.
Do not let the meme title fool you, this fic will be dark.
Trigger/Spoiler Warning for Chapter 1: electrocution, kidnapping, and references to canon-typical violence as well as child abandonment.

FFN
Douxie wasn't sure why he expected the future to be void of Gumm-Gumms. Sure, according to Zoe, trolls had largely disappeared from the world at the same time that Merlin and Morgana did. And Tatik Margarid had only seen a troll once. Thus, Douxie had assumed that trolls had largely disappeared, having crawled deep underground. Orglak and his horde had stopped trying to kill humans, and the only threat to stray cats (or dragons who looked like cats) were Shadow Mephits.
Naturally, Douxie had been wrong. Gumm-Gumms had attacked the Battle of the Bands. And obviously, some people had known about them, like Claire. She had been better prepared, with her armor. There was something familiar about it. Something that made him feel homesick for Camelot.
It really sucked. And the Battle of the Bands had been going so well before the sky went orange and the Gumm-Gumms attacked. The competition was, for the most part, the way it had been last year - a bunch of amateurs who were looking for fame and had thus trained themselves to sing and badly play guitar in a month, and music students hoping to impress their teachers even though the school year had just ended. But there had been a boy who fulfilled two out of the three indicators of Douxie's type. He had wavy, chin-length hair, and he was good at music. Douxie didn't normally like dubstep, and yet that boy's music had been so mesmerizing.
Oh, who was Douxie kidding? The dubstep artist was mesmerizing in general. Douxie got the feeling that the others in Ash Dispersal Pattern would be teasing him about his latest crush right now if they weren't…
Douxie didn't know where they were. He bit his lip. Could they be dead?
He shook his head. No. He couldn't allow himself to think like that. He knew that a lot of normal humans had immediately ran for cover, so he had to think that his bandmates were still alive and in hiding. He could find them, and possibly grieve them, when the Gumm-Gumms were gone. Or he could finally reveal to them what he had been keeping a secret from the world ever since he was fourteen, and before that, until he was taken in by Merlin. It was lonely, having to keep the truth about himself hidden from his friends, and maybe this sudden incursion of Gumm-Gumms were a blessing in disguise. A chance to reveal himself. Though, he would have to check with Tatik Margarid and the hedge wizards first. He wouldn't put them in danger for his own desire to not have to hide a part of himself. After all, they couldn’t be sure if humans would accept them or not.
Douxie pushed the thoughts out of his head as he readied yet another spell. He couldn't allow himself to get distracted. Not now, not when he was in the middle of a battle. If he got too distracted, he could lose a limb or have his head bitten off.
Or, as he would later piece together, if Douxie got too distracted a normal human could hit him with a taser, knock him out, and kidnap him.
Krel let out a sound that might’ve been considered a scream of frustration had it been louder. The Mothership had been fixed! They should have left sooner, but no, they had stuck around on this mudball so that Krel could have made his mark on the humans of Arcadia Oaks. Kleb, that decision was so stupid! They should have just left. His family and Zadra would be safely hiding, and the traitor would be exiled in a place that Aja and Krel would know about.
He would never admit it to anyone, but Krel had been so stupid. Stupid, and egotistical, and so many other things he wouldn’t dare to admit to anyone.
Krel stood up and stretched. Ricky and Lucy were always trying to tell him that fresh air was good for him. It was a fault in their programing, to try and be parents to the human versions of Aja and Krel, since Akiridions didn’t need to breathe. How could the freshness of the air affect him? Moreover, how could the unfiltered air outside be fresher than the air inside?
But after all these horvaths of trying and failing, Krel would take their more-than-likely faulty advice.
Zadra was arguing with Ricky and Lucy, so Krel was able to sneak around her. Aja was closer to the door, talking on her phone.
“One moment, Steve,” she said before pressing the phone to her chest. “Where are you going?”
“Out.”
“Do you want me to come with you?”
“I’ll be fine.”
“Are you sure you’ll be safe?”
“Yes, Aja.” He held up his serrator. “I’ll be fine. Don’t tell Zadra.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” she said, before going back to talking to Steve. Ugh, hopefully they weren’t planning on doing more K-I-S-S-ING.
Krel exited the Mothership, looking up at the evening sky. Given how far they were from the city, Krel could just make out the beginnings of stars, as well as the brighter, more constant glow of the other planets in this system and the moon. The sky was so different here, compared to home. If he really focused, maybe he could figure out which star was nearest to home, but from so far away he would probably need some of the Mothership’s help.
Krel sighed. He didn’t need to, since he didn’t need to breathe, but it did have a calming effect. Huh. Perhaps Ricky and Lucy were right. The outdoor air was helping him.
Maybe Earth wasn’t too bad. They had to constantly hide, and it was a primitive planet, but Krel felt like he was starting to understand it. Leaving would throw the bounty hunters off their trail, yes, but it would also be a new set of social rules to learn.
Likewise, maybe it was nice that the Mothership had landed so far from the city, instead amongst all the trees. No pesky humans were there to watch Krel in his true form and talk about how all aliens wanted to suck humans’ brains out through their ears. He wouldn’t need to hide like this.
He tripped over a tree root.
Stupid. This planet was so stupid, and so were trees. Krel couldn’t wait to leave this stupid, stupid mudball.
Krel picked himself up, dusting himself off. Home didn’t have dirt. The Mothership didn’t have dirt. He hated it. Its texture was so gritty and frustrating. Stupid mudball made of dirt. Oh, why had he left the nice, clean Mothership?
Krel began to turn around when he saw bright orange through the trees. He would be best off ignoring it. As the past delson had proved, Earth was a very strange place, with things that Krel didn’t need to investigate.
But he was curious. Besides, it could be a threat.
He walked towards it. He wouldn’t get too close, just close enough to take a picture and tell Aja so she and…
Oh, kleb, he was going to have to tell Zadra that he snuck out.
He stepped on a twig. As it snapped loudly, he realized the orange formed the shape of a bipedal, two-armed life being.
It wasn’t the first time Krel had been electrocuted, but it was the first time he was knocked out because of it.
It had been a long time since Douxie had had to sleep cold, in threadbare clothes and sitting up, pressed against a wall. And never had he been alone; even as a street rat he’d had Archie. Then again, the last time he had been in this position, it had been on rough stones with space to stretch his legs and only the light of the stars, moon, and perhaps a distant home washing upon him.
He had awoken in a glass tube with an aching back and dressed in a thin white hospital gown and a pair of cuffs around his wrists with strange green flashing lights on them. Overwhelming green light lit the tube from multiple angles, and no matter how Douxie turned his head the light was always in his eyes. He’d tried to talk to the few, orange-suited figures walking around, but they had all ignored him. He wasn’t sure how long he had been here, but he had started to become hungry when the orange-suited figures had tossed a four-armed, blue-skinned person into the formerly empty tube that had been near Douxie. Douxie’s first instinct was to assume this person was a troll, but the person had been glowing blue before the green light of the adjacent tube had washed it out. Troll bodies didn’t glow.
Who or what was this person?
Krel came to with an aching shoulder. It felt like he had messed up on the wiring and –
And he’d been electrocuted by it. Or by the figure in the woods. They had been wearing orange, like the scientists of…
Krel opened his eyes to the green lighting of Area 49-B.
No.
No.
Oh, kleb, no!
Krel looked around. Had they gotten to Aja and Zadra? Or worse, Mama and Papa? What about –
Krel grit his teeth. If they had found the traitor, and Varvatos had told these humans roughly where to find the Mothership, then Krel would kill him, Aja’s pardon be klebbed by Seklos and Gaylen.
“So, you’re finally awake.”
Krel’s head snapped to the direction of the voice. There was a human, trapped in a similar cage to Krel’s. “Why are you here? You’re human.”
Well, was Douxie human like this person thought Douxie was? That was a question that both magic and mortals had been arguing about since long before Douxie’s birth. It seemed that the orange-suited figures thought that Douxie was too magic to be human, and they were the ones doing the trapping.
“I mean, I don’t exactly know where here is. You do?” Despite the fear coursing through his system, Douxie felt the smallest of smiles beginning to form on his lips. He wasn’t completely alone.

Angst 5 - gruvia
Give me the angst
Okay, it turned out longer than I thought it would but: HERE IT IS! You really challenged me with this one, I have to admit.. 😅
Angst - Prompt Nr. 5:
"Forget it, you're a fucking asshole."
Juvia stood in front of the building, clutching her bag to her chest. It has been so long since she had last been there.
She wondered whether everything was still the same. Probably not. Taking a deep breath, she made her way inside, ready to face the people she called family.
The first thing she noticed was that the guild was still as loud and lively as it used to be. She found some unfamiliar faces in the crowd, most likely new members who had joined the guild over the time she was gone. It took her a while to find someone she knew. It was Mira who she recognized first. She was standing behind the bar, busy serving customers.
Juvia made her way over, trying to find more familiar faces in the crowd.
"Juvia?" It was Lisanna who approached her first. Juvia turned to her with a small smile. "Oh my God, it really is you! You're finally back!"
Juvia found herself enveloped in a tight hug. Soon after there were more people around her, all familiar and Juvia couldn't help but feel warm and welcome. Some things might not have changed after all. She greeted everyone warmly and tried to answer as many questions as she could but she was being overwhelmed. It wasn't until Master Makarov appeared that they all became quiet.
"Juvia, welcome back dear."
"Thank you, Master."
"From what I heard so far the mission was a success?"
"Yes, Juvia completed it a few days ago and has been on her way back here since."
"Well, congratulations. I'm very proud of you, my child."
Juvia smiled and thanked him. When she had first chosen to go on this mission, Master had refused her request. He had said that she was letting her emotions cloud her judgements and that she would regret taking on this mission. But Juvia was stubborn and kept insisting until he agreed with a heavy heart. Juvia knew that it wasn't a simple decision, she would be away for two years after all. But she had made her choice and she wouldn't go back on it. She needed to leave for a while, needed to get away and this mission made for a water mage was the perfect opportunity. So she had taken it and left with a heavy heart. But she was back now.
"Juvia.. you're back." She turned around and found Natsu, Lucy and Erza looking at her. Juvia gulped. If those three were here, that could only mean he was somewhere close to.
"Welcome back, Juvia. It has been so long." It was Erza who got out of her shocked state first and patted Juvia on the shoulder. "That was quite the mission you took on. We only got updates from master occasionally, but they weren't enough to keep our worries in bay."
"There was no need to be worried about Juvia. The mission was successful, there was nothing Juvia couldn't handle."
"I was sure about that. You're a strong mage after all."
"That didn't stop him from worrying."
There was an awkward silence followed after Natsus comment. Erza glared at him for being so blunt while Juvia visibly paled. He.. he had been worried about her? But why? For all she knew he didn't care about her after all. Suddenly Juvia just wanted to get out, get back to her place and hide under her covers. She was tired and there was so much she still had to do. Natsu however didn't seem to register that. Unbothered by Erzas glare, he continued talking.
"That was a really stupid move. You don't just abandon your family like that."
"Natsu.."
"Do you even realize what your leaving did to him? I never saw Gray like this, not once. You broke him!" He was talking calmly and yet Juvia could hear the anger hidden behind the facade. He kept going on about how she was wrong, selfish and unconsidering, ignoring the warnings from Lucy and Erza.
"You're really good at running from your problems, aren't you?"
Juvia snapped. She didn't mean to lash out at Natsu, he was just being a protective friend after all. But there was no way she would stand her and let him throw accusations at her. Because he was there back then. He had seen and heard what happened. Juvia didn't forget and she sure as hell, wouldn't let him forget either. Yes, she ran away from the problems, but what else was she supposed to do? She was tired of fighting and he was tired of her. It was the best she did for both of them.
"Don't you dare. Don't you dare put it all on Juvia. Don't you dare paint Juvia the villain here. You were there. You heard it all. Would you have stayed?"
Natsu grew quiet. You could have cut the tension with a knife at this point. Everyone around them had become quiet but Juvia didn't notice. She was too engrossed in the moment. It took him a while, but Juvia saw his features soften before he pulled her into a hug.
"Look, I'm sorry. I know why you did what you did. I understand. It's just.. you leaving, it changed a lot. He's my best friend and I hate seeing him the way he was when you left. But you're also my friend and I'm glad to have you back."
Juvia felt the tears running down her cheeks. She tried to stop them, she really did. But she couldn't help it. There were just too many memories coming up, memories she had tried to erase.
TWO YEARS AGO
Fairy Tail was being attacked and they were slowly reaching their limits. Everyone was tired, outpowered and if they didn't find a way to stop them soon, there was little hope they would get out alive. Gray and Juvia had been fighting alongside each other all day and where reaching the guild hall where the leader of the attackers was hiding. They just needed to take him out and it would be over. When they arrived there, Natsu was already engaging in a fight with him.
To their dismay however, it didnt appear that he was getting anywhere near beating him. Gray and Juvia had joined him but it was still so hard. He had managed to knock out Natsu and Juvia was fighting consciousness while trying to lift herself up. There was only Gray left and he was desperate. He had to stop him before it was too late.
Next thing Juvia saw, was Gray in the Iced Sheel stance. He wouldn't.. would he? She called out to him, desperately trying to stop him, but he wasn't listening and she couldn't move, couldn't get up. The ice was starting to envelop him. Juvia kept calling out to him, kept begging for him to stop. But the temperature kept sinking and he kept going.
And then it all stopped.
Natsu had woken up and interfered. Had stopped him from using the spell that would cost him his life. Everything after that was a blur to Juvia because she lost conciousness, outpowered by her emotions.
When she woke up, the enemy was defeated and Gray was sitting next to her. Natsu was sitting not to far away, but had their backs turned to them, an attempt of giving them privacy. Juvia tried to get up but Gray just pushed her back down.
"You need to rest. The others will be here soon. Don't worry, it's over."
She wasn't having any of it. He had tried to sacrifice himself. Again. And she wouldn't just let that go.
"Why?"
"Hm?"
"Why did you use that spell?"
Silence. Then a sigh.
"I wanted to save you. Natsu. The guild."
"And sacrificing yourself is the answer?"
"We were running out of options."
"This is never an option. How can your life mean so little to you?"
Juvia put her hand on the spot that had a scar on it. The scar she got after she almost killed herself, a desperate attempt to save him. Back then, there wasn't another option. It was either him or her. But this, this was different.
"I sacrificed my life so you can live. And that's how you go ahead?"
"I never asked you to!"
"That's not the point."
"It is the point. I don't need you to save me, protect me or whatever. You're not my girlfriend, nor my family. You shouldn't care about me, don't you get that?"
"But I do care! And I will always care!"
"Stop. Stop it. I didn't ask for this. I didn't want this."
"What is this? What is it you didn't ask for? Didn't want?"
"You, damn it! I didn't ask for you!"
It felt like Gray had stabbed her. His words had cut her deeper than any knife. Because Juvia was used to this. Used to being unwanted. She had been rejected all her life. And yet, it never hurt her as badly as it did when he rejected her. He had told her no before, ignored her advances. But this, this was different. Juvia forget about her wounds, the pain that had been inflicted on her during the battle. She got up, desperately trying to hold back the tears that were filling her eyes. Barely able to walk, she started limping out of the guild hall.
"Juvia.. wait."
"No, let me be."
"Juvia.. you're hurt."
"What do you care?"
"Juvia.."
"No. Don't talk to me that way. Don't pretend to care. It's over. I finally got your message. From now on, Juvia won't bother you anymore. You're free."
"Don't be ridiculous! Sit down and wait for Wendy so she can treat your wounds."
"Don't tell me what to do."
"Juvia, stop being so stubborn!"
"You didn't want me, right? Juvia is only fulfilling your wish. So just let me go."
"I can't believe you."
Gray was looking at her in disbelief. She had finally reached the guild door and flung it open. She turned to him, not sure how to say her final goodbye.
"Gray.."
"What, you're coming to your senses?"
"Nevermind, forget it.. you're a fucking asshole."
After that, Juvia had avoided going out until she found the requests she had later took on. Now that she thought about it, her final words to Gray haven't been her best. Juvia wasn't one to curse, wasn't one to throw around such words. She had called him a fucking asshole! The guy that she loved with all her heart.
Juvia freed herself from Natsus hug and excused herself. She really needed to go to her place and have some time for herself. She greeted a few more people before she made her way to Fairy Hills. Good thing that job earned her enough so she was able to pay the rent she owed for the past two years without an issue. She couldn't wait to be back in her room, in her cozy bed. The bed that was filled with letters as she noticed when she walked in. They were piling up, hundreds of them. Juvia wasn't one to get letters. She really didn't have anyone to write her letters in the first place. She dropped her bag and took one of the envelopes from the bed. Her name was written on every single hand, sometimes neater like the person took the time and sometimes a little sloppy, like they were in a hurry. It was clear however that they were all from the same person.
Juvia opened the envelop in her hand, only to drop it when she saw the name at the end of the letter. Gray. They were all from Gray. Had he been writing her letters all this time? But why.. he knew they wouldn't reach her, so why?
She spent the entire day reading them. Sometimes laughing, sometimes crying. She found herself clutching every one to her heart. After she sorted them all after date, she took the first letter into her hand again, reading the words he had written for her two years ago.
Dear Juvia,
Master informed us about the mission you took today. When he first told me, I didn't believe him. I ran to Fairy Hills. But when I got there, all you're things were gone. I also saw that you got rid of your Gray dolls.. I should be happy about that considering they freak me out. But somehow I'm not. I really messed up this time, didn't I? I wanted to talk to you, apologize. But everytime I thought about what I had said, fear would overcome me, fear that it was really over, that you wouldn't forgive me. So I chickened out and said that I would do it the next day. I was an idiot and now I'm too late..
Master also informed us that there is no way to reach you. So I don't even know why I'm writing a letter in the first place. But I decided that I will write one everyday for you. So I can inform you about everything that's going on here. I know that I'm the reason that you left. And I don't want you to miss everything because of me. So I hope, that when you read those letters, you will feel like you never left. You're going to be very busy reading when you're back. And you will come back. I have to believe that. I can't lose you forever. Because what I said back then, it wasn't true. I was being stupid, believing that I would protect you if I pushed you away. I always mess up, don't I?
I really miss you Juvia.. you have only been gone for a day and I still miss you like it's been forever. I know I deserve it, but this is pure torture. I hate not being able to see you, talk to you, know how you're doing.
Please be safe out there and come back to me soon.
I'll be waiting for you. Because I love you. I truly love you Juvia and I always will. And you need to come back soon so I can tell you that in person. I promise to use this time to become a better man for you, so when you're back I can be good enough for you. Because you deserve the best and I'm not there yet. But I will get there. For you, I will do anything.
I love you, your Graysama.
When she put the letter down and looked up, she found Gray standing in her doorway, a look of disbelief on his face.
"You.. you're really back."
"Gray.."
"Natsu told me. But I.. I didn't believe him. But you're here. You're back."
"Gray.."
"I'm so sorry, Juvia. I'm truly so sorry. I didn't mean any of it, I never did. You're everything to me. I.. I don't.."
Gray kept rambling, nervously shifting and Juvia couldn't help but fall in love with him all over again. She had forgiven him already, the letters said more than she had ever expected. She believed him, believed him that he didnt mean it, that he loved her. Because he wouldn't have sat down every day, pouring his emotions in a letter, if he didn't.
"Graysama.."
He stopped talking. It had been so long since she called him like that. Juvia knew that too. She got up and walked towards him. Before he could react, she had put her arms around his neck, pulling him closer and kissing him softly. After a moment she felt him relax and kiss her back.
Yes, these past two years where torture for the both of them. But it was what they needed. And now, now they would be inseparable. Juvia was finally back home.

#SupermanandLois Season 2 Episode 9 "30 Days and 30 Nights" Recap and Review
Lucy is not the one that breaks Alston out of the D.O.D. It’s a soldier that wants her to save Anderson. Alston goes through the portal.
Clark senses this but doesn’t get there in time. He goes through the portal himself, though it’s not an easy or fun experience by any means.
The news is wondering where Superman is while everyone carries on with their lives. Specifically, Jordan steps up training with Sam and ignores Sarah’s calls while she’s at Lana’s debate.
Flashforward to one month later. John Henry is helping with disasters where he can, and Jordan is listening for Clark.
Natalie is failing at making waffles.
The polls are officially open. Lois, Jonathan, and Jordan are there to help. Lois told everyone that Clark is on assignment in Metropolis. Jonathan is not getting the warmest reception and leaves. Sarah tells Jordan that he’s been distant. Jordan hears a fire and leaves, which does not help his case.
John Henry and Natalie show up to help, but Natalie can’t handle her father being friendly with anyone and storms out.
Jordan gets the firefighters out and tries to put out the fire. John Henry shows up and tells Jordan to leave.
The reason Natalie attempted to make waffles is that today is the anniversary of her mom’s death. John Henry didn’t remember. When she tells Sarah this, Sarah tells her about the ofrendas that her family puts up on Día de los Muertos. This is a lovely idea except for the part where Natalie would have to use a picture, and she can’t. She asks Lois to take her home.
Lana gets a phone call and has to leave too. Kyle is in the hospital, but he’s fine. He tells Lana to go see to her campaign. Sarah doesn’t really believe that he’s ok, but he insists.
Jordan tells Jonathan about the fire and that he flew. Jonathan tells him that since John Henry saw him, he needs to tell Lois before she gets told. It isn’t worth the consequences. Jonathan isn’t sure he’ll ever get the chance to make up with Clark.
John Henry talks to Lois when she brings Natalie home. He’s just realized what today is. He and Lois talk about it, and then he inevitably tells her about Jordan.
Jordan doesn’t get a chance to come clean to Lois, as she comes home in fight mode. He does nothing to help matters by admitting that Sam has been training him and by claiming that since he has superpowers, she’s not in charge of him. The fact that he’s still alive after talking to her like that is only because he has superpowers.
John Henry’s talk with Natalie goes just as badly. Granted that she has a justifiable reason to be mad, but he is her dad, and he does make some good points. You know you’re an adult when you start siding with the parents in tv arguments.
Sarah brings groceries to Kyle’s sketchy apartment. He’s bleeding, so she comes in, changes his bandages, and tells him to get furniture.
Lois confronts Sam about training Jordan while they are the fire site. All Sam wanted was to teach him control, but that’s not all he’s been doing. They find X-Kryptonite at the site and conclude that it must have been a distribution hub.
They then squeeze Jonathan for information. Sam offers immunity in exchange for information about X-Kryptonite. Jonathan agrees to make a phone call if they agree that the person will not get into trouble.
Dean is accusing Lana of bringing in people from other counties.
Lois and Sam talk to Jordan until Jonathan comes in. He gets assurances that his “source” as it were will be protected, and he brings in Candace. The fact that Lois doesn’t kill anyone in this episode, let alone this show, makes her one of the strongest characters, but I digress. Candace holds up pretty well. Once she realizes that her apologies aren’t getting her anywhere, she gives all the information that she knows. She gets the inhalers from Mickey, a shady guy living at the trailer park, and he gets them from somewhere on Old McClellan Road. Jonathan then escorts her out.
Sam will need to get a satellite surveillance of the area, but Jordan has another idea. All they need to do is go to Old McClellan Road and he can hear any people up to no good. Lois does not like this idea, but she agrees to it on one condition. Jordan has to stay in the car.
Sarah brings Kyle his stuff, so that his apartment doesn’t look empty and depressing. They talk about Jordan. He thinks she deserves better, which is more a father’s love for his daughter talking than an objective factual statement.
John Henry watches a video of him and his wife right after Natalie was born and he full on breaks down. The man needs a hug.
Jordan does not want to stay in the car, but he does. Lois and Sam go check out the little warehouse operation, which turns out to be not so little. Then they get caught. Isn’t the saying that smart drug dealers don’t do drugs? Almost everyone involved in this X-Kryptonite racket is using.
The election board is about to announce the winner.
After Lois shares her extensive knowledge of knots with her father, he suggests that they get Jordan’s help. Lois thinks this is a bad idea, but it’s better than death. She tells Jordan to be careful anyway. He gets there just in time to keep one of the goons from shooting Sam, then he beats him easily.
Lana wins! Sarah surveys the party and sees that Jordan isn’t there.
Lois, Sam, and Jordan get there late. While Lois shares a drink with the new mayor, Jordan talks to Sarah. She wants answers that Jordan can’t give her. When he refuses to blow off his family for her, she breaks up with him and gives him his grandmother’s necklace back. Wow. Just wow. The CW is determined to make Jordan the bad guy in this relationship and it’s just not true. I would be glad that this relationship is over, but I worry that the ensuing drama is going to be worse.
John Henry made waffles. He then shows Natalie the video he was watching earlier.
Sarah spends the night with Kyle, where they plan to drown their sorrows in food. It’s hard for Sarah to be a sympathetic character when they keep aligning her with her cheating father.
Jonathan and Candace talk until he has a headache and has to go home.
Lois and Jordan talk about how sucky breakups can be until Jonathan shows up.
It’s not Jonathan. It’s Bizarro Jonathan and he tells them that Clark was too late!
The nerve of these teenagers is only exceeded by the nerve of the CW for making us wait a month for the next episode. Seriously, y’all. 8/10.
