honestly i just really want to see aaravi deal with miranda's... sincerity? like, miri tries very hard to engage with other people and their interests as best she can, and is always very upfront and flattering and prone to heaping on the praise in a very simple and genuine way when someone else shows her something theyve worked very hard on or are proud of. i just want aaravi to have an excuse to show off for a moment and then entirely freeze up blushing and overwhelmed when miranda actually appreciates it and fawns over her.

Wolfpire introduction/timeline:
Introduction:
Uhhhhh idk how to introduce things i barely got a C in english but the idea behind wolfpire is like a dark fantasy au of community. the big changes are:
This all takes place in and around Aberystwyth(A-buh-rist-wuth),wales because I'm welsh and also america perplexes me.
Troy is now a werewolf,he lives in his family's pack (it's like a small village in the countryside) after his mom died he was made the leader against his will by his dad since he wanted Troy to grow up faster and become more responsible. Oh and troys ftm now because ik him better then harmon.(also ill be referring to younger troy as troy i wont be giving him a deadname or anything like that because i think thats kinda weird tbh)
Abed is a half vampire, his mom is a human and his dad is a vampire, his mom left (i've said before that she died but i’m changing that) due to similar reasons in the show, abed was always alone since he was home-schooled (as a protective measure), and since he couldn't go to the movies (overstimulation makes it impossible to hide his vampiric side) abed reads screenplays and re-enacts/draws scenes he thinks would be cool. also Since he didn't go to Greendale he instead works at his dads cafe which doubles as a normal cafe but also has a V.I.P area for any other monsters in town who need a place to go and don't need to hide themselves.
Annie wasn't able to go to rehab due to her parents, she's constantly tired from all nighters she has to pull for her straight A+’s (or else her parents will kick her out) it doesn't help that she doesn't have a study group to help her.
Other characters pending….
Greendale community college is now ‘greendale paranormal investigators’ a (not so successful) agency that investigates, documents and “takes care of” any paranormal/supernatural activity, it also has a trainee/apprenticeship program.
My best attempt at a timeline of events(this'll be short for now because i don't have too many events “planned” in my head):
Troy and abed first met when they're younger like 5-7, Abed was in his backyard re-enacting a scene from a screenplay with some pebble/rock statues he made, when troy who got lost on a field trip with his family and found abed playing in his backyard and got excited to see another kid his age so he jumped into his backyard and thats when they first met, they talked for hours and hours troy was happy to finally have a person who didn't judge or criticize him and abed was happy to have someone to talk to who wasn't “too busy” to listen to him. I also feel like abed did that speech thing with jeff in ep1 but with troy.
Periodically when he can troy would sneak away and visit abed at least once a week after a while abed starts baking snacks he thinks troy will like, introducing him to Gobi who was worried for troy but also happy that his son had someone to talk and specificity looking for screenplays he knows troy will like so they can re-enact them together. After about 5-6months of this happening though abed notices that troys coming less and less and eventually he stops coming at all… Yeah thats kinda it  😅 i don't actually have much of any other ideas bouncing strong enough around my head sadly :(  if you cant tell already this is still a very massive work in progress.
Where the idea came from:
basically back in October i got a an idea after watching Danny in dywtsadb and wanted to relate that to community so i made abed a vampire (instead of a cannibal but i mean those are basically the same anyway) and i also wanted troy to be a sexy monster but i didn't want him to also be a vamp and the next thing my brain thought of was a werewolf, i feel like that tells you a lot about who i am as a person. link to google doc with all this

Scion Teenager Squad Upon Ye
Deidre has more than one person she's close with beyond typical friendship but Alisaie is the only one where that relationship is also a romantic one. I like Alisaie's energy, she feels and shows all of her emotions very intensely and she does not fall into the same trap the other scions had to crawl out of with the willingness toward heroic self sacrifice. Another thing I've posted about before is that when She helps the wol, she is doing what the wol is also doing. When other scions help the wol, they are doing things out wol wouldn't be doing to begin with. When she helps us she is ACTUALLY lightening our burden, imo.
I like her and Deidre together because they're both red mages, and I have her involved in the rdm questline. She gets to see Deidre kind of struggle with the class, due to her being a white mage and her having taken up dark knight already, which is something the others never really see. Alisaie knows Deidre from dealing with Bahamut (and admired her prowess and witnessed how she would build a little camp and make sure she and alphy and arenvald all got fed), but being reintroduced to her in this setting where she Struggles opens her eyes more leading into the canon events. She cares deeply about everyone, she sees how Deidre is still pretty distant from the Archons, and helps bridge that gap by ensuring they Work Together, which Deidre really appreciates after feeling like they just send her (and arenvald) to fight alone. Alisaie is one of the few who are truly willing to see the emotional struggle Deidre has with Not Wanting to be the wol but continuing because no one else could any of those things, and how it combines with both her childhood 'if you want something done do it yourself' stubbornness and her genuine desire to help a cause bc its important to someone shes come to care about.
Deidre appreciates that Alisaie, like Arenvald, helps her in the things she's actually doing to begin with, and that she doesn't shy away from the parts of her that are ugly and bitter about whats happened to her. When it comes to Deidre seeing herself in Zenos, comparing herself to him in how she's his equal as the Alliance's weapon against the Empire, she's gonna argue but she wont say the alliance Doesn't use her as their trump card the way the rest of the scions would. She also argues for Deidre to rest like a normal person the way Haurchefant does, and carves out the space for her to do so when needed. She's there for her emotionally when she's struggling after she's recovered from being turned into the Light Warden, when she has her breakdown bc the white hair after the transformation wont hold dye well and cuts it all off, any time she needs reassurance that her scars are flesh and not crystalizing since she has nerve damage in her hands and can't feel well, there's a lot of personal self-image stuff that Deidre struggles with that really only Alisaie is privy to.
In Deidre Alisaie gets someone who has similar motivations to her, they work together very well, much like in canon she makes Alisaie want to improve herself. She likes that Deidre is drawn to experiencing new things and that they can do that together, and that even with her adventuring she knows Deidre will always circle back to wherever she feels is home. She considers Deidre to be reliable and easy to talk to, doesn't judge when Alisaie has to take a few tries to work her emotions out into words or has to troubleshoot her feelings about a situation out loud in order to puzzle them out properly. She also morphs anywhere they're staying into a stable, predictable environment they can anchor themselves to amidst the tossing and turning of always traveling, which helps Alisaie keep her head on straight.
Also they're teenagers/young adults (as time progresses) and they can just be silly together sometimes. They've been through a lot of hardship, but their relationship is also one that can survive normalcy and peace. They are each just as likely to join the other on an adventure as they are to sit quietly in the other's company while they work on something. They also get along decently with each other's families and other loved ones which is a bonus.
Another random WoLQotD/OC question
I thought I'd ask this while I worked on my other questions. :)
If you're a WoL x NPC shipper, what drew you to that ship and why? What makes that ship the pinnacle for you and your oc? Is it that you love the canon character you write them with, you find their dynamic interesting or something in between?
If you're not a WoL x NPC shipper, but you have a ship with another person, how did that come about? What makes that ship fulfilling for you? Has the ship impacted your relationship with that other person? Feel free to gush, I wanna hear it!
Oh, and pictures are a must (if you have them).

I am sad and in need of my bed
SO MY QUESTION FOR YOU RUMPS IS
How do you think the dr2 characters cope with the big sad, what kind they are (good and bad), and who comes to help em out :)
(if you say hajime for assistance because he’s technically the ultimate therapist you’re gonna get your shoes stolen /lh/nsrs)
Hajime.
BUT not because hes the Ultimate therapist, rather because he is very adept at making people feel comfortable. Meta-wise, this is because he's the protagonist of a character-heavy game that encourages you to form a bond with at least one NPC, and most of the NPCs are jerks. Of course you want some encouragement or rewardl and your reward is the NPC opening up and trusting you, the player character.
But since we're not viewing the characters as NPCs in a game, in-world it comes out as Hajime getting even the most suspicious, awkward and stand-offish people to like him enough to overcome some of their issues, meaning he's just a comfortable dude.
So, besides Hajime;
Akane: ignores the big sad for as long as she can. Might have a little breakdown but still tries to get over it way before she's ready by distracting herself or pretending like a comfort worked 100% ("now that I've cried for half a minute I'm FINE haha see ya"). She would go to Kazuichi for distractions and someone who will probably do the crying for her. Slowly starts being open to Fuyuhiko's offer of talking things out, but only when she's already done being sad.
Sonia: Even if she is big sad in private, she has a hard time being real with it in front of others because she tends to pop into inspiration mode. She might pep talk herself (and others) several times without any real progress because she isnt letting it out. Eventually she'll yell and cry and then actually feel better afterwards. I think besides Hajime shed split pretty easily between Akane and Fuyuhiko, who are both awkward around big emotions but ultimately also very helpful.
Kazuichi: Feels big emotions all the time and sadness is a big part of it. He is very capable of feeling the things- its hiding them that's the problem- so he's used to it, but a linger melancholy cloud that doesnt go away even when he's done sobbing about it is a bigger problem. I think he would go to Sonia if he needed point-blank merciless advice (he is careful though, between not wanting to seem like he's pressuring her and not being able to take rejection when he's already so depressed) or Akane for comfort.
Fuyuhiko: it's kinda complicated because he was actually fairly good at dealing with grief in-game (once he was past the passive suicidal ideation) but that was in the middle of a murder game and. I think he would be the type to push it aside for as long as something bigger needs doing, but he suffers for it when there's nothing else to focus on. He feels better when he thinks he has some control so besides Hajime he goes to Souda, who a) has no room to judge and b) wont dare to snitch or get too mushy.
The ones most likely to intentionally seek out the sad people are probably Fuyuhiko (as with Akane post Nekomaru death) and Souda (again Akane & Nekomaru's death). Probably Sonia too? Just based on vibes (and she got Fuyuhiko a get-well-soon present).
Hajime definitely feels like the type to isolate when he actually feels the sad, but he's more likely to get frustrated or listless than outright sad (he also does not have a crying sprite in the game). I think who he goes to is really dependant on what he wants out of the interaction. With Akane, it's easy to forget anything is wrong, but she'll also be a big strong pillar to lean on. Souda is great with distractions and emotional validation (easily affected by other people's moods). Sonia cheers people up and doesnt let anyone get away with wallowing, and Fuyuhiko is a good conversationalist and has experience with actually handling grief (fun fact, all of Fuyuhiko's FTEs revolve around just talking, mayhaps because he has no hobbies besides crime but who knows) .

in defence of eloise bridgerton
before i post yet another unsolicited thinkpiece, i have to credit @alrightsnaps and @torchwood-99 for inspiring these thoughts in the first place. (they have no idea who i am lol but i'm not about to plaigarise.) i've embedded their posts at the end. i read them when they were first published however many weeks/months ago and they've remained in my brain ever since.
nb. again, i didn't intend for it to be this long lol. not rambling is not my strong suit.
i was surprised to find that so many people dislike show!eloise (and book!eloise as well it seems) because i am such an eloise apologist lmao. i can fully understand that she’s very sheltered and privileged and often presents a very “not like other girls” attitude that we as a culture are trying to move away from. i understand that due to her family's circumstances and her position in society, eloise tends to unfairly judge other women, particularly her peers. however, she is also only 17, maybe 18, years old. as a modern woman in the 21st century, i displayed similar behaviour in my teenagedom despite believing myself to be a big old feminist, progressive, and socially aware. (which i do believe is was, within the context of my age and where i come from, but i also had a lot to learn and reevulate - and am certain still do and will do forevermore.) granted, i didn’t express myself as aggressively as eloise is wont to do, but there were certainly many things i do not know or understand and therefore probably said a few things that i would not even think to say today.
eloise has only just discovered wollstonecraft, she has so much more reading to do, which is crucially something she actively desires. i do not interpret her character as believing she knows all she needs to and that she knows more than anybody else, even if her countenance sometimes suggests otherwise. eloise clearly wants to learn more, to develop her mind by engaging in debate and having her ideas challenged. indeed, i think that’s what drew her to theo in the first place. with both eloise and penelope (whose behaviour warrants even deeper analysis), it seems the audience often forgets just how young they are. yes, legally they are ladies out in society, but they are still very much girls. they don’t even know how babies are made for heaven's sake. they are kept so in the dark about the contractual obligations expected of them and would be naive not to approach "the rigmarole of courtship" with some wariness.
in my opinion, it’s no wonder that eloise is so opposed to marriage and motherhood because of what she has witnessed in violet. in the throes of giving birth to hyacinth, violet had no autonomy over her own life or body, or hyacinth’s life of body, which was very much still attached to (read: inside of) hers. violet's powerlessness in this situation was compounded by the fact the choice, of whether she or the baby would live or die, was given to her totally inexperienced 19 year old son, who had never raised children before and would never know what it feels like to be with child. not only is violet barred by the doctor (until permitted by anthony) to decide the fate of her own life, and her unborn child's, she is forced to relinquish this power to someone she still considers to be a child himself.
although eloise may not be aware of the exact details of hyacinth's birth, her distress at whatever she imagines to be happening is explicit. we see her crying heavily in daphne's arms, surely a vignette of her trauma (and daphne's as well, which is not the same of course, but definitely related). that she probably hasn't been informed about what did go on makes the memory scarier still. when this is the example eloise is given of what motherhood and marriage entail (i.e., no autonomy, no self-control, possibly death), i am not surprised at all that she seeks to avoid such a fate in the strongest terms, and likewise cannot fathom why other women would desire it. in her mind, to wed a man and sire his children is to sacrifice her life, wants and freedom to choose. based on the template provided, a married woman would lose all subjectivity, existing as an object whose only real purpose is to fulfil her husband's wants and needs.
moreover, the way her character arc is structured is problematic. before the audience meets eloise (or daphne, francesca, and hyacinth) or learns her name, we already know she will inevitably fall in love, get married and have children regardless of her personality or ambitions. that her character has been set up to change her mind about marriage and motherhood really stuck with me. by fixing her storyline in such a way, the writers essentially position a woman's desire for singledom or spinsterhood as the immature fancies of a chila. while eloise's criticism of others for desiring such things can be quite severe or inappropriately timed (e.g., anthony’s failed wedding), the underlying message is not what it ought to be as a purportedly feminist programme. at its most basic level, that is, "women should be able to live their lives in whichever way they want", here as spinster or wife. instead, by having eloise “realise” that her original goals were misplaced, that her life is in fact incomplete without the things she railed against, the narrative ignores the fact that there are women who chose not to marry or procreate that remain perfectly happy and fulfilled. to suggest otherwise does these women a great disservice.
this is not to say that i believe eloise is right, per see – that marriage and motherhood spawn inescapable doom – but that a woman has options, that there are multiple ways to lead a happy life. i wish they would show (even if very briefly) that it is possible for ladies (not just working women) to remain content in singledom and, further, prefer it in some cases to the status quo. by nature, the series will always demonstrate the positive effects of marriage, whether for love (bridgertons, queen charlotte) or convenience (lady danbury, henry granville), so it is a shame that the writers do not acknowledge the alternative.
in fact, the writers seem to double down on eloise’s disdain for these roles precisely because they know she will change her mind. being aware of how her story ends, they could have presented her character as more sceptical/scared of these concepts rather than outright hostile/insulting. i think this would have completely changed the moral of her narrative as well as the tone of her relationship with theo. i think a big part of their relationship arc was to show eloise that perhaps it is not so bad to love a man and desire a life together. i believe it was probably the writers' intention to introduce theo as a way to segue into her love story with phillip. however, it is important to remember that to love and marry a working man does not carry the same implications it does a gentleman.
from the outset, the balance of power between the sexes is more equal with theo and eloise knows this. she can see that theo appreciates her mind for what it is - not an “accomplishment”, as she would say, to increase her stock, but genuine interest in her voice. because of their class differences, she doesn’t owe him anything, nor does she expect anything from him. so, when eloise does share her thoughts with him, she can be secure in the knowledge that theo is spending time with her for no other reason than because he wants to. eloise knows theo takes her opinion seriously and sees her as an independent subject instead of a marriageable object.
in this regard, eloise's fears of marrying a gentleman (a specific type of man) have not been reasonably assuaged because what a man of phillip's rank typically wants/offers a lady is inherently different to a working man. this is not to say that i’m against her relationship with phillip, on the contrary philloise is my favourite ship after hyareth (more so due to fandom lore and ao3 headcanons than to sir phillip, with love, which i have not read and do not intend to). i simply believe the writers could have developed her character more sensitively with regard to her feminist identity.
in defence of the writers, i believe eloise's bravado that so many viewers seem to dislike (her attitude that she is "not like other girls") speaks to her insecurity as a young debutante. early in season 2, eloise admits to peneolope the shame she feels knowing (though, this is surely in her head) that she will forever disappoint her mother, her suitors and the ton for not being daphne ("the perfect diamond"). in the way people so often do, i believe eloise wants people to know that she does not care about their opinions because deep down she actually does.
eloise has shown instances of social anxiety and clearly worries about measuring up to daphne and possibly francesca, who is canonically next season's diamond. i get the impression that eloise wants to reach the punchline before her critics can, to ensure suitors know she has already found them disagreeable and, therefore, does not care if they think the same of her. as is somewhat symptomatic of girls her age, i think eloise is afraid, and perhaps ashamed, to be herself.
when she sneers at other debutantes for desiring courtship and the like, eloise appears to project her insecurities about finding a suitable match onto others. i do not mean to imply that she secretly wants all the things she argues against, rather that she loves her family and wants to please her family (particularly her mother) and is afraid of disappointing them simply by way of who she is. from this perspective, eloise endeavours to keep others' expectations of her as low as possible so as to not let anybody down.

Fruits Basket Manga Review , ch 112 & 113 (part 2)
I hate that this chapter is cut... mainly cuz it deals with the most “ horribly presented” theme in furuba anime.... grief.
-The shame of grieving: “ Rarely discussed theme in Literature”:
When a love one dies... ppl differ in how they deal with it. Some cry their hearts out, some become depressed & painfully lonely, others get angry or cynical, some might deny it, some move on quickly, others move on but years after the realization crushes them, others stay still... Above all, you feel ashamed of yourself if you didn’t move on or if you DID move on.. “ Sometimes ppl around you judge you for it... for your grief”
The later is the theme of these two chapters. Rarely discussed themes & it saddens me that it is cut. You see, Furuba anime doesn’t get grief  at all. To them, it’s a small part of the generic protagonist after she finishes her job of nurturing the real main protagonist. Mothers are strong, they help us cross the bridge between childhood & adulthood. Tohru, the show’s mom, did it so thoroughly & in slow visual & narrative details for yuki. Afterwards, the anime brushed whatever is left of her character, which the anime viewed as sheer suspenseful drama, & collected it thro 3rd person story-telling techniques in one ep “ se3, ep6″ & excessive monologue for 10 minutes in se3, ep9.
In this chapter, Kakeru, a side character, sheds light into this theme. Kakeru didn’t lose a parent by death, didn’t grieve, has no dependent familial bonds with either dead parents “ kyoko & komaki’s dad”. Yet, kakeru stood & judged tohru on how she “ should” grieve. Harshly tearing her down while she’s standing there lonely, trying to hide her shock at the loss of her only pillar in life, broken & traumatized, dealing with the pushed down traumatic feelings from her past where her mom abandoned her as a child..now her mom did it again, this time thro death.. & kakeru, rightfully not knowing all that, but wrongfully lecturing her on how to behave... kakeru isn’t a monster, but he only saw what he wanted: komaki & how the world should grieve with his lover, how he should be the hero protecting her. So self-centered, insensitive, horribly cruel & unbelievably conceited, but above all... what he did is so sadly common... it hurts.
-Judging Grieving People:
As I said many times.. grief is so personal, so unique to the person & as common as it is, so misunderstood. According to kakeru & many ppl I’ve sopken to lately, tohru should have acknowledged komaki. Komaki, the not-traumatized version of tohru, did the right “ tohru-like” thing. Not only felt sadness at the loss of her own dad, but found it in her heart to visit the other orphan, tohru, & give condolences & respect to the dead mother. Such kindness & purity. Very deserving of applaud: To not only see your pain but others’ as well. Tohru has always done the “ right, kind” thing to other ppl. When she can’t now, the author brought another “ tohru” to do the “ right, kind” thing.
Tumblr media
Kakeru is so many ppl. During my brother’s funeral. I’ve heard so many gossip on how my mom should’ve stood tall & greeted the visitors.” Being silent , emotionless & non-responsive is not how you show visitors you value their kind words”, they said. How his widow should’ve collected herself & acted properly, respected his memory by taking proper care of herself & her kids. “Being a broken mess is not how you “ honor” loved one”, they said. Kakeru is indeed many ppl & that’s how you discuss a theme by creating characters who sin, screw up & be cruel, even if momentarily.
Kakeru is wrong. There is no “ you should have” in grief. There is no ounce of truth in his demeaning lecture to tohru & I respect komaki for her reaction to him so much. Kakeru did learn & grew from it, apologized to tohru even if he didn’t actually sought her to do so & even if she herself started the apology. But you see, these two chapters are 90% focused on kakeru as a character, his growth, thoughts, the mini focus on his relationship with komaki as an example of healthy relationship & all that is another lesson for yuki to observe & learn. He learned abt tohru’s past, kakeru’s personality & growth & got to observe another example of romantic relationship so yuki can grow as a man & approach machi healthily. But then again... nothing at all stops yuki/machi from being healthy, no past issues, no contradicting personalities “ they’re quite similar” & yuki is the only furuba character that doesn’t screw up big. He learns & teaches. He’s the personification of the author.
-Tohru.. stays a “ tohru”:
Tohru’s part is 10% of the this chapter which is fine as I think/hope it will lead into more tohru depth in the following chapters. But It is for this reason I’m glad this chapter was cut in the 13 eps season of furuba anime, cuz tohru doesnt have much depth in the anime due to the quick wrap up & the la~~~~st  thing I want is another 3rd person story-telling flashback abt tohru in the anime. Honestly, one of the most frustrating aspect to me of the anime & I’ll hold judgement abt manga- tohru till I reach its end. So far~~~ Tohru’s depth & character exploration gets better one chapter, then regress the next one, then moves on, the... it’s a fluctuating process. It has nothing to do with tohtu’s feelings.
you’ see ... kyo himself as a character with issues fluctuates a lot, he does sth good, then does sth bad, chooses right words, then makes a horrible mistake & chooses wrong! which is one of the most well-done aspects of character exploration that is rarely attempted by authors! I highly respect Takaya-san for what she’s doing with kyo in the manga so far. Other authors show us a character doing one big mistake & then he/she learns from it in a dramatic way. But Takaya-san, nope! she decided to approach it in a very human way, making us be frustrated with kyo’s repeated mistakes yet understands where he’s coming from! kudos to her!!
But I’m not yet satisfied with how tohru is portrayed in the manga & this has nothing to do with tohru’s character. Takaya-san is discussing rare themes thro tohru’s character. But what I mean is how tohru is approached thro the viewers/readers eyes. I wont judge until the last chapter. but this is the part that is frustrating to me.
Side Notes:
The flow of the 2 chapters is little off. We go back & forth between the past & the present, between yuki-machi & komaki-kakeru. Again, I’m so glad the anime cut it cuz, nope! they can’t handle such narrative. they’ll reorder it in a such heavily monologing way & insert the comedy abruptly to lighten the mood. Just look at how the comedy is inserted in momiji’s se03 ep!
Komaki is such a tohru with a sprinkle of kagura’s very softened outbursts. lol. she’s fun!
I’m liking yuki-machi interactions a lot. no drama, which is why the anime cut it -_-’, but it progresses healthily. Machi is yuki’s third-stage growth after (1) leaving tohru’s nest (baby yuki), (b) making friends with kakeru/someone who gets him (young boy yuki), (3) finding romantic love (being a man). The anime was so interested in the 2 stages above cuz that’s where the drama is & cut the third. Honestly, the anime didn’t have to include everything as there is never a space in 13 eps, but they certainly could’ve squeezed few panels or even made brand new very short yuki-machi scenes. but the anime weirdly decided after yuki “ saved” machi from her trauma by talking with her in her apartment, he should just marry her.... lol.. that’s why next scene is ep 5 momiji’s ep intro montage where yuki was abt to confess!!! making yuki-machi the least developed couple in the anime!
I love all furuba’s characters, but yuki, tohru, kyo & akito carry the big themes, therefore, I not only analyze their characters, but how the themes are presented thro them & how their presentation affects such themes. This might make it sound as I hate them or am harsh on them. not at all. It is the anime director/ manga author that I’m positively or negatively criticizing most times. Most importantly, my criticism is not the law. It’s just my perspective & my consumption of the material. Feel free to differ with me. I dont mind it. It brings interesting discussions!
When it comes to tohru’s issues... his chapter introduced nothing new. We have seen/read in canon repeatedly that tohru hides her pain behind a smile (heck! even kisa knows that & told us), that she cant stand up for herself much, that she smiles for other ppl not for herself. All this was presented thro so many characters already, which is why I understand the anime’s decision to cut it. What’s new? that yuki didn know tohru’s smile is mostly a mask & that kakleru has depth.
I love this chapter for the grieving themes it discussed that are rarely touched upon in literature, but since such themes are rarely presented, the anime’s decision to cut it, ironically proves my point! lol . They don’t get grief & so, they reduced it to se03 content & two eps worth. sad.. but expected. The anime is indeed another form of “past” kakeru: seeing one side of grieving person. The happy side.

Heyy, i just wanted to ask what do you think about bnha’s 315 leaks or the storyline. I’m personally really disappointed so im just wondering if you feel the same way
Sorry for late answer, anon. I am waiting for story to progress cause i really dont know where it goes right now but my general thought about latest chapters is;
First, the thing bothers me the most is the people Deku work together;
Tumblr media
Hawks, Best Jeanist, especially Endeavour etc.
One of the most problematic characters in series. The biggest flaw os those characters is lack of growing, not seeing their faults and not really changing.
Tumblr media
You are not the one who judge Afo, Endeavour cause you used your family for your selfish goals too. (I really hope Endeavour and others doent get away with what they did.)
Tumblr media
By the way, Lady Nagant's story is really interesting but i feel like its really rushed and ended quickly.
Tumblr media
Also didnt like how Deku easiely defeat her, it doesnt make sense, just like how Bakugou's always winning or how them defeating Nine etc doesnt make sense...of.
Tumblr media
And for someone who sick of faults of society and reached her breaking point, i feel like she was convinced too easiely. I find it a little unrealistic.
Tumblr media
Like i said, refusing to seeing their faults is the problem with heroes. I dont think Hawks's being optimistic. He is being ignorant, turning a back to what he did to Twice. This is not a good thing. (I hope author doesnt justify it cause they are heroes and i find it ridicilous the part when she said Hawks has heroic eyes -_-).
Tumblr media
And good part about those chapters is Deku pays more attention to villains words. He wont just dismiss them (Though its still not very good way to do it, lets say baby steps.)
He is listening their stories, believing in redemption and change. In past, he wouldnt do that. (I really loved the answer he gave to Overhaul.)
Tumblr media
But just let me remind you, Deku, you cant just get rid of problems by saying everything's grey. If you think Overhaul should be punished for what he did to Eri, then you should think the same for Endeavour. I think this is what Deku still lacks as character. He shows empathy for villains which is great but there is no point, if he doesnt really acknowledge the faults of pro heroes.
Tumblr media
Deku right now acts like a Batman, he fights mostly alone, having a few talks with villains, playing the justice, he destroy or try to help them, depending on their answers. This kind of behavour kinda reminds me of Stain.
Its still not enough character development but compared to before, its a step cause Deku used to be blinded soldier but now he is on streets and facing/interacting with the dark sides of society more.
Tumblr media
While Deku acts like Batman, Afo acts like Joker. We will see where this will go. We might see Deku's being more violent cause of Afo's pushing him corner, we might get more interactions between villains and Deku.
Right now, What Deku needs by his side is young generation, people who will question the faults of society. Like Uraraka, Todoroki and others. He needs to be with them. As long as he isolates and push himself, things will only get harder for everyone. Maybe, Deku will realize this, after he gets pushed by Afo. He might realize how he shouldnt separate himself from his friends. If Deku abandons his humanity, he cant help people. This is why Deku needs them. I hope he realize this.
Anyway, this is what i generally think about latest chapters.

Sanrion Legally Blonde au (that I’m not likely to write)
I’m not writing this. but In case someone wants to hear the very real outline of this non existent fic here it goes:
After being dumped by Joffrey Baratheon for ‘not being serious enough’ to be his girlfriend as he heads to Citadel Law School, a grimly determined Sansa Stark decides she will get him back by proving she really is a serious man’s wife material and getting into Citadel Law too showing Joffrey she’s more than a pretty redhead barbie. It helps that the Maiden Alpha Kappa Sorority is fully supportive of her and that her IQ and LSAT scores are nothing to laugh at.
But Citadel is nothing like she expected, everyone treats her like some Bimbo who doesn’t know what she’s doing and worse, Joffrey ignores her in favor if the more politically minded Margaery Tyrell. Well, everyone except Tyrion Lannister, the self depreciating king of sarcasm who knows a thing or two about being underestimated, given his dwarfism. For some reason he believes that Sansa has a brain under her vapid hairdo and he’s willing to help Sansa study to keep her spot in Citadel after messing up in Professor Baelish’s class.Which makes Tyrion her first real friend on campus.
Little by little Sansa begins to see Joffrey’s true colors when he keeps making fun of her over and over at the expense of looking good in front of Margaery. While Tyrion keeps insisting that if she wants people to take her seriously she needs to do the necessary work and they get more comfortable in their friendship, Sansa learns to look beyond people’s appearance to see the heart beneath, making some unlikely new friends, like Brienne Tarth, the magical hairstylist, who Sansa helps with her sleazy ex (and who might or might not have a hopeless crush on Tyrion’s long haired, yet even more hopeless brother) and notoriously mean Professor Arianne Martell, who got tenured by legally fighting the patriarchy. Sansa even earns the grudging respect of her fellow law students Sandor and Yara.
When Fitness Queen, Danny Targaryen goes on trial for the murder of her husband, Professor Baelish announces an internship opportunity for his best students: Joffrey, Margaery, Sandor, Yara...And Sansa Stark. With Tyrion as his co-chair in the case.
Matters become complicated when Danny refuses to giver her alibi, but as she trusts Tyrion’s integrity and Sansa by virtue of coming from the same sorority, she admits that she was having a liposuction the day of the murder, which could ruin her career if it got out. To which Sansa becomes determined to help her.
Later after successfully proving that Daario, (Danny’s alleged lover) was gay Sansa and her friends celebrate their progress and Sansa feels very happy until Professor Baelish proves to be a pervy asshole who was looking for an easy lay, completely shooting down her enthusiasm at becoming a lawyer.
Margaery confronts her about her little meeting with Baelish and even Joffrey makes a lewd comment about how Sansa was ‘asking for it’ which makes it hard to believe when Tyrion tries to convince her not to quit.He might believe in her, but now she knows everyone else sees a stupid little bird.
Brienne and Jamie try to encourage Sansa to go back, because she’s a good lawyer, but it’s the surprising intervention of Professor Martell that makes her comes to her senses, because Arianne Martell didn’t see Sansa Stark as a coward, least of all one who let a smarmy lecher like Petyr Baelish win. Making Sansa return to court ready to fight for Danny’s case and give Baelish the middle finger.
Tyrion is more than happy to tell the head Judge he will supervise her when Danny fires Baelish and names Sansa as her new lawyer. Secretly thrilled to see her back and wearing pink.
So Sansa uses her knowledge of hair extensions and the chemicals used hair-care products, to make the witness, private nurse Mirri Maz-Durr confess that she had in fact shot Danny’s husband out of revenge and not actually been in the shower at all.
With her first successful case closed Sansa returns to Citadel Law more determined than ever. With boyfriend Tyrion and her friends supporting her all the way until graduation.
Now all that’s left is to make sure Tyrion is standing on a bench when she proposes, because his height makes getting down on one knee pretty frustrating.
featuring scenes like:
A montage of Sansa and her sorority sisters, Jeyne, Alys,Roslin and Myrcella going to her actual sister, History major Arya for advice on how to help Sansa prepare her law school application.
Tyrion’s life before law school and how he and Jamie ended up disowned by Tywin.
Sansa’s chihuahua, Lady meeting Tyrion’s cat, Ser Pounce.
Sansa teaching Brienne the bend and snap...Jamie using his shiny hair as an excuse to have Brienne’s hands on him
Tyrion wondering what exactly is it that he likes about her..And Sansa saying it out loud.
a segment about Danny’s award winning fitness routine. with the slogan “burns calories faster than a dragon”
Tyrion casually using legal jargon as metaphors for sex thinking Sansa wont notice. She does and uses even more legal jargon to rile him up.
Margaery dumping Joffrey and becoming Sansa’s new best friend.
I mean I know I’m not writing it, but it deserves to be out there, it’s a good story. I would read it.

Answer to my LONG ask friend, posting it like this because I imagine it would be way to long or else!
hi i hope you dont mind me asking, but perhaps any elriel meta will be willing to cover the whole berons alliance with the queen? because i think thats our winning argument in favor of elriels endgame. and i wish im not reaching or overthinking this lol.
why it will be our winning argument? becaue the whole beron pledged alliance to the queen dont mean anything just yet, it hasnt been flushed out yet (sarah left it open ended), and it will definitely be the main conflict in the next book just to set up the final book and war where all the sides has been established whos with who.
because in my perspective, elriels story really will trigger that conflict and rhysands warning in az pov is literally the set up for that conflict.
when i read acosf, i was thinking there is literally no point of beron making alliance with the queen aside him wanting to be the high king, more power, why would he do that when the queen is in the continent and him in prythian, other high lords will surely oppose him being the high king. thus its two (if the queen indeed would help him) versus six since koschei is still trapped in the lake. plus, his alliance is still a secret, surely other courts will learn of it, wont they?
now however possible consequences from elriel, beron perhaps will use the rejecting mating bond—the blood duel—as a reason to declare a war and have other courts against the night court or eris will finally dethrone his father and be the high lord. and with eris being the high lord, isnt that going to be one of the key topic for morrigans book? sarah also confirms morrigan book and she admits that she doesnt know what the novella is going to be, so its same to assume that mor will get a full novel.
fyi, i cant see lucien will challenge azriel though, he is decent and will respect elains choice, but beron as cruel as he is will surely do something sinister.
and i stumbled across an account on twitter and they compare elriels story to helen of troy and the set up of the trojan war is literally the same as elriel. also, beron reminds me of agamemnon in troy movie (2004), both of them want more power. there are a lot of similarities, imo, between elriel and the set up of iliad. in iliad there is also a duel between hector and achilles (this is me reaching lol).
thus, aside from elains connection to the dread trove, elriels conflict also has the logical conflict that tied to the whole overarching plot for the plot of the series to move forward toward the end, because like i said the whole berons alliance need to be addressed and in acosf it hasnt been addressed yet, at least not enough.
im really sorry if i come off as rude by asking this. i would do it honestly, but i dont have the confidence to post anything online (hence, im anonymous) and im not as convincing as the others in terms of flushing the arguments.
also, you are literally keeping me sane when all of elain antis trying their hardest to discredit elriels.
thank you❤️❤️❤️
Hi! I’m that anon who said that Elriel’s conflict with Beron could be the winning argument for our ship since they are tied closely with each other based on Rhysand’s warning in Azriel POV. If you decide to answer that question, would you mind if you answer this one instead? As I’m pretty much still stand on that point however I’d like to add and correct some statements that I think I don’t express clearly in my previous question:)
If you don’t mind, I’d like to post my theory here, anonymously, since I’m not confident enough to post my thoughts online yet as I’m afraid I’ll be judged harshly lol. And perhaps other metas such as you would like to elaborate more on the matter since I think it is a vital plot for Elriel’s book. It’s quite long, I do apologize for that:)
Like I said, Beron allegiance with Briallyn didn’t make any sense to me and it also took me by surprise when I read ACOSF. Why?
A. Briallyn lived on the continent and Beron is in Prythian. Wouldn’t it be better for him to seek an ally that is closer to him instead? We know that Beron wants to be an ally with her because he heard about her ambition. And I suspect that Beron wants to be the High King or kill Feyre since he knows that she has his power. But one thing for sure is that he wants more power.
B. If he indeed wants to be High King or kill Feyre then I don’t believe that the other high lords would comply with him. Therefore, Beron wouldn’t stand a chance against the other high lords and lady in Prythian since it is two (before the queen was killed by Nesta) versus six. Plus, Briallyin lived in the continent thus her allegiance was not something that he could hold on to, imo.
So obviously we know that Briallyn is dead and her allegiance doesn’t mean anything anymore. However, from her allegiance with Beron we now know that Beron for sure set to be the other villain of this new overarching plot alongside Koschei. And I also think that Beron would be the main villain for the next book because a villain as big as Koschei would likely be dealt in the last book.
Now, why is it tied with Elriel? I think Rhysand’s warning in Az’s POV explains it plainly, and I can’t help but think that it is a set up, a foreshadowing, of what would happen in the next book, especially since Koschei’s plotline is not foreshadowed enough in ACOSF and we only know of his onyx box which we get from ACOWAR.
If we acknowledge that Elriel is endgame and their story is next, then Beron surely comes to play in the next book. Their relationship will push the overarching plot one step closer to its climax.
FYI, I can’t see Lucien invoke the Blood Duel himself, he is a decent person so he will respect and understand Elain’s choice to be with Azriel since it is definitely where we are going in the matter of endgame. But, Beron, as cruel as he is, will surely make use of the situation to profit himself, to reach his ambition that is momentarily squashed with Briallyn dead.
These are possible results of what could happen with Blood Duel plotline:
1. Beron would ally himself with Koschei as Briallyn did before because he knows he is outnumbered if he declared a war against the Night Court.
2. Beron could convince other high lords in Prythian to go against the Night Court if Lucien was killed in the Blood Duel, I pray that it will not happen though Lucien deserve some peace and happiness with the woman who wants and loves him voluntarily.
3. Eris would rebel against his father's order for Lucien to invoke the duel, and Beron would be dethroned by Eris and he would be the next high lord of Autumn Court.
I personally lean more on number three, because with Eris being the high lord wouldn’t it be one of the key topics for Mor’s book? It is already confirmed that Sarah pitched Mor’s story as one of the books and she admits that she doesn’t know what the novella is going to be. So, it’s safe to assume that Mor will get a full novel, not a novella one. Seeing her sparse appearance and development we’ve seen of her in ACOSF, then it is also logical to assume that Mor will not be the next book main character.
In conclusion, Elriel needs to happen to address Beron's situation and bring the overall plot of the series a bit higher before it reaches climax in the final book. Is it also possible that Beron’s scenario still can be addressed without it being tied to Elain and Azriel? Yes, but, I will say it again, Rhysand’s warning is a clue, a foreshadowing, of what conflict will be covered in the next book. For an author to drop something as big as that but not happening is a lazy writing in my opinion.
In the previous question I also mentioned that Elriel’s story is kinda similar to Iliad. Their set up is pretty much similar to me, however, I don’t think Elriel’s story will end in tragedy since Sarah doesn’t like to read, write, sad endings.
I’m sorry if I come off as ordering you around, but I really appreciate it if you and other metas also put your thought in the whole Beron/Elriel situation since I’m 95% sure Elain book is next and Azriel will be her LI seeing there is no progress with her and Lucien yet.
And I still stand by my point, you and other Elriel metas keep me sane when all of Elriel antis trying their hardest to discredit all of Elriel’s interaction and feeling in order to make their ship endgame. Thank you so much❤️❤️❤️
Wowza! This has got to be one of the longest asks I have ever received, hahah, congratulations and thank you for taking the time to write it to me!
I would definitely consider doing such a meta, I am working on my Elriel debunking one currently, chipping away at it slowly! It’s a big boy.
I definitely agree that it is a very important and key point because like you said Elriel will be the trigger that pushes this story forward, giving Beron the push he needs, and also it will give or potential for Eris to step in and also Lucien by proxy. It would as you said accelerate the whole plot.
I have said before and I will say it again, Elriel brings so much plot to the story and ties in so many different characters, that say Gwynriel for arguments sake, doesn’t. I have no doubts at all who are the next POVs.
Agree with literally every ounce of your first ask, they have all the ties. There is no point mentioning The blood Duel if it is never going to come in to play, whether they actually do it or get close too it has to happen now. And if that is the case then Elriel clearly has to happen to get there! I don’t think Lucien would participate because I think he would respect Elains decision but who knows...
I feel like their is potential for his hand to be forced by say Beron or someone else, like you said though all ties roll back to Elain. And her ARC.
I am so sorry you don’t feel like you can post it yourself, because you clearly have some great well thought out perspective, and you are well spoken. I am sure the fandom would love to hear your thoughts from you, when you are ready of course. Until then you are always welcome to come here and share with me!!
Going to answer your second one separately because I didn’t read the second one first and now I see you said to answer the other one ahhhahaha

”It’s literally 8 A.M in the morning, you better be have a good thing to showed me or i will hate you.” Calum called you in the morning saying that he had something to showed you and you have to come and now here you are. “What?” You asked him when you were in his room.
Then he pulled out a very cute floral dress. “I bought this for you last month for Ash birthday party today. I don’t know if you like this or not, but here it is. I hope you like it. And also the heels, i love it so i bought it to you.” He gave it the dress and heels and now you were just speechless because this dress is hella cute and expensive.
“I forgot it’s Ashton birthday...,” you paused. “Do you have something to be give to him?” He shooked his head. “Let’s get out then?” He nodded an you two headed out.
After 5 hours went out to store by store and had lunch, you and Calum finally arrived at home at 2 P.M.. You bought a Leather Lace-up Ankle boots for Ashton as present because he said he love wearing boots and he kinda collecting it right now so it might be a good gift for him. And Calum bought an electric guitar for him.
Tumblr media
“Hey i think I’m gonna get ready, since i took an hour to do make up so... bye.” You waved at him and ran to his bedroom to get ready.
An hour later, you our from his room and you saw him stood waiting for you. “You were ready? Since when? Damn you look so hot!” You said it out loud and he blushed.
Tumblr media
“Since 30 minutes ago i think? And you look so beautiful.” He couldn’t take his eyes off of you. “I think we should stay at home rather than go to Ash’s party.” He gave you a serious face.
“Why?” Suddenly you felt so disappointed because you just prepared for an hour, you got a very beautiful mini dress from him and now he wants to canceled it?
He laughed. “I don’t want any men to steal you away from me. I mean look at you right now.” He teased you and put his hand on your waist. You were inch away from his face and now you wanted to to something but you afraid. You were still afraid until today.
“Should we go?” You asked him and he nodded while pulled his hand away.
You went out and he drove fast. You didn’t interact with him on the car. It was just too awkward for you both.
An hour later you and him arrived at Ashton’s place. It was just 4 P.M and his house already crowded. You held your present for him and Calum also did the same. You and him went in and looking for Ashton. You finally met him. He was stood at the corner with Luke and Michael and Mitchy Collins.
“Aye my favorite couple.” He hugged Calum first and then Calum gave the present. And then you hugged him. “Awh thank you so much, Cal and Bar. Enjoy the party.” You walked away from them and joined Kaitlin, Crystal and Sierra on the counter.
“Oh my God, look at your dress, you really stealing the spotlight!” Crystal complimented your dress. “I knew it Calum has a taste.”
You frowned. “Oh Calum showed us the dress after he bought it last month. Oh virtually of course. Don’t worry he didn’t cheat with us. His heart is belong to you.” Sierra explained and you smiled while rolling your eyes.
“So how’s the progress with you and Calum? Are you guys kissed already?” Kaitlin asked you excitedly. You knew she’s a bit drunk since she held the red glass.
You shook your head and nodded at the same time. “We are not dating, we’re still friends but we ever kissed and thats it. No more further explanation.” You grinned and poured beer to your glass.
After hours you’ve been mingled with everyone, you decided to go to the bathroom to freshing up. While on the way you pulled out your phone from your sling purse and you shocked you got 20 missed calls from Mike and you got so much message from him, your mom, Julia, Tranter and other friends. But one notification that caught your eyes was a missed call from Justin at 3 P.M.. What the hell is going on? You could feel your face is pale and you panicked and ran fast to the bathroom. You locked the door and sit on toilet. You called Mike Immediately and you scared to death. Your mind flashback to when he called you 30 times because he worried when Justin and Selena got back.
“Saara Palvin are you okay? Why you didn’t pick my call?” He sounded so worried, exactly like 3 years ago.
“My phone went silent and I’m fine I’m at Ashton’s birthday party. What happened? Nevermind i will find it by myself and i promise you i will be fine, i won’t hurting myself ever again. Okay? Bye.” You hung up the call and searching on Safari about Justin Bieber. That’s really what you searched because deep down in your heart you knew if Mike, Julia and Tranter texted or called you at the same time, it really had something to do with Justin. And coincidentally Justin did called you and it really ruined your mind. The search came up and you saw a news about Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin engaged at Bahamas today. Wait what? Engaged? Justin is engaged? With Hailey? You read the headline again and locked your phone. You don’t care. You don’t care at all. He could do anything he wanted.
Then the bathroom door is knocked. “Saara? Are you okay? It’s me Kaykay. I saw you running to the bathroom worriedly. Are you okay?” She asked yo politely and you unlocked the door so she could come in. “Hey girl, what’s wrong?” She wiped out the tears that feel down to your face. You really managed to not cry in front of her but you failed.
You tried to breath slowly. “I think I’m going home now. I’m not feeling good right now. Justin is engaged with his girlfriend.” You finally confessed to her and she hugged you. “I don’t want people to know about it. What is my excuse then?”
She pulled the hug. “Just said that your mom needs you right know and they would understand. Calum would understand. You had to lie to them for your own sake. You need to rest, Miss B. And when you talked to them just thinking about a funny moments so that you wont cry.” You nodded and put the lipstick on your lips and out from the bathroom. You were separated from Kaitlin and walked towards the boys who sat down on the chairs laughing together.
“Hi guys i think I’m going out now, my mom is need my help right now and i will go to her place now. Bye guys, once again happy birthday Ashy.” You hugged Ashton, then Luke and Michael.
“Let me drive you there, Bar.” He held your arm but you brushed it off.
You looked at him. “No, you need to be here for Ashton. I will be fine okay? Have fun baby.” You kissed his cheek and left him as fast as you could because you were about to cry if you still there with him. You ordered Uber and headed home.
You finally at your bedroom and lean on the wall. You cannot cry because what’s the point of it? He has a good life and so are you. You are happy with your life, you surrounded by a very good people, the best friends who always support you, you’re happy.
You changed your clothes into pajamas and you sat on your living room. And you saw Calum texted you.
Tumblr media
You felt bad for lying to him but this was the only thing you could do. He might get hurt if he knew the real answer. You really try hard to move on from Justin. It was harder than you thought. The past still haunts you until today. The memories still haunts you.
You turned on the tv and watch a random show but you didn’t really paid attention to it. Your mind kept thinking about Justin over and over. and you decided to keep your mind busy thinking about other by watching a criminal tv show.
It surprisingly distracted you for hours until you heard a message notification.
Tumblr media
Ah these big mouth guys. Why in the hell they told Calum about it? So that why he asked you if you okay twice. He probably hated you right now. You couldn’t do anything but sighed. Calum must be hurted right now. Why all of this happened?
Then you heard your door being unlocked and you saw Calum walked in with flowers on his left hand and a totebag on his right hand. Wait what was he doing here?
“Cal?” You were so shocked when he showed up. He smiled to you and you knew he was hurted judging by his expression.
“Hi Bar,” he greeted you and handed you the flowers. “I just want to be here with you to cheer you up.” He signaled you to sat on the couch with him. And then you sat with him and put the flowers on your lap. “I bought you chocolates, lots of chocolate,” he pulled it out one by one. “Then a red lipstick because i know you love to wear it, and a tiny teddy bear. I honestly suck at this so thats the only thing i bought for you.”
You smiled to him and hold his hand. “Thank you, Cali. You really cheered me up.” “And i want to-“
But he cut your talk. “I know what happened, Ashton told me.” He held your hand tight. “I want you to be honest with me, i was so confused when you said you didn’t want me to drove you. I thought i made a mistake.”
You sighed. “Im sorry i didn’t want to hurt you, i didn’t want you to know that I’m hurt, I’m messed on the inside. I didn’t want you to hate me just because I’m still trying to find my way out from my past. I hate myself for keep hurting you until today.”
“Hey hey please don’t cry.” He hugged you and you cried on his chest. “I know moving on is the hardest thing to do, but i know you can do it. I trust the process, Bar. I trust us.”
You pulled the hug. “You can always find and fall in love with another brain, another soul, rather than stay and wait for me to heal the feeling.”
“No.” He shook his head. “I love you and i only want you in my life. I will always love you no matter how hard this situation is. I will wait for you.”

To be continued.

session 92 end (bye 413...)
Tumblr media
this session was so long but so fucking hectic what the fuck
im going to try and slim it down to its bare essentials rather than go on a full rant because im pretty sure i want to make a post later on about vriska’s characterisation (not anything about me liking her/disliking her, just an analyse on her life really, so it wont be too bias because thats not the point of an analysis. i also want to do one on aradia, been meaning to for a while... hmm... damn i havent done much analogies lately, and i THINK the last long post on a character i made was about davesprite??? so its been a fucking while. that being said, ill leave a lot of details out for this end of session notes so i dont just repeat myself later on. rather will keep to plot points here and then make character points in another)
alright
first we had a page or two where aradia confided in nepeta about her being dead which means nepeta is the only one to know this revelation. im pretty sure aradia confided because there was no other way around it, since nepeta was her server player, so it was inevitable. either way, aradia still put her trust in nep, which means, if you think about it, nobody else knows and nobody else ever will. and considering aradia asked nep to keep it a secret, it probably wont get explored by others until MAYBE later on, whenever its plot relevant, so everyone will be in the dark about it for a while which ill have to remember for future dialogue and scenes with aradia in them
then we met vriska
which, yes, is a meme. i may not have been on a lot of fandom platforms, but you cant escape some of the stuff that goes around the internet. even if you dont know undertale, im pretty sure you know of sans. or komaeda if you have/havent seen danganronpa. its just.. the memes, ya know? ive heard from many sources of the “vriska did nothing wrong” quote (even through mbmbam which??? WHAT) but since i didnt even know what it meant, i never explored it so then i never knew it was a homestuck thing. imagine my surprise...... i think even at the time, i wouldnt have known what homestuck was either honestly so it wouldnt even matter. i only recently learned about the fandom.... uhh, maybe half a year ago??? yeah, august, so my knowledge was slim but vriska is a thing ive heard before, which still shocks me
goddammit
anyways back to her
so her intro was something, we pretty much found out she likes DnD (a FANATIC in fact) and feeds her lusus the flesh of living trolls. which is fucked up. but i wont get too much into detail about that until i make a post about her life on alternia and the consequences of such. or maybe just alternia in general...?? or *both* heheheh but i feel i need more information before i go off on a tangent about that
then we met??? white text dude?? who is a major asshole but an asshole with insults that hURted, to think i felt bad for VRISKA when that happened. woah.
i said before, but... karkat, he cant really hit deep because his insults are just HIM and his way to express himself. like some people find it natural to just go “FUCK YOU” to show emphasis on a point, and thats just karkats way. he may do it so aggressively that it takes you a second to realize what he said, but usually i dont take anything to heart whenever he spurts out some insults. ive progressed to the point where whatever he says, is just “karkat” and not him trying to be actively mean. rather, its now funny whenever he does say anything SOMEWHAT creative, dude has an imagination that goes on for miles
but vriska?? she IS trying to be a bully, you can tell. but i feel theres something much more to that. like shes trying to prove herself and her “blueblooded” demeanours or whatever the hierarchy is. she doesnt want to show emotions so she makes herself a barrier by being mean is what i can gather from her conversation with kanaya. im pretty sure youre not supposed to understand her until its pointed out and rather see her as an “antagonist” at first, but yeah, her insults are more pitiful than anything and i also cant take her too seriously. i may not like her as a person but her character is interesting because you cant always have the goodie two shoes as the protags. it doesnt diversify the characterisation so i like vriska as someone who makes the plot work and it becomes more interesting since you have someone that makes it harder for the main crew to progress. a happy-go-lucky adventure with no trouble and no turnabouts would be boring in a way. so having a character like vriska, or like this new white text guy, it makes you stop for a second and realize oh shit okay, here’s where shit CAN go wrong and WHY. and i do especially like it when these bastards of characters somehow have more depth than being the “bastard characters”. kinda humanizes them in a way. doesnt mean you have to LIKE them continuously, but theyre humans (trolls whatever) in the end and every person has their own story whether its for better or for worse
for example, i like her being placed into the story, along with white text, by how its all leading to this “accident” and is slowly showing us hints on what happened, but in the end, it wont be until later that we know the full story. even if it was in the past, it apparently is very vital to the plot and shapes how the characters act in the future, so important aspects like that are to look out for. and usually they only occur when theres been some trouble within friend dynamics. so without these bastard of characters, plot wouldnt grow AS strong and i often keep that in mind when i explore a story.
anyways, I HAD A POINT TO THIS: so vriska and karkat are characters who are yes, mean, but it seems to be their personality, and the way they either show emotions and convey feelings (karkat) or make a barrier so they DONT show emotions to produce vulnerability (vriska), white text guy seems to mostly be out to be an asshole. he told vriska she was useless to sum it up but im not too sure if this is one of those “first dialogue” to mould out a bias opinion before we even get to the character themselves, but judging by how vriska and karkat played out, he surely means something bad and i dont know how to explain it. but i cannot base anything off from one piece of dialogue. i dont even know what else to call him other than white text guy so...... ill just leave that out for now, until we finally get his introduction
though, i do wish to mention, and will expand on, im not wrong when i say karkat and vriska are similar but in different context. sorry if youre favourite is karkat and you dont like vriska, or vice versa, but uhhhh their introductions are so similar its uncanny and the way they’re portrayed is the same except one is more on crack about the meddling, while the other is angry about the meddling. similar to how it was with karkat, we were introduced to vriska talking with someone we knew (tavros) whom she obviously didnt like, so obviously, from her point of view, she wanted to be menacing. like how karkat was menacing to jade because she wouldnt listen to his point... he got angry, so he lashed out. but us, the readers, didnt know that. we thought “oh god its this asshole” until we made it further in the story and started to warm up to karkat. it may not be the same with vriska, she may be a bully regardless, but you cannot tell me we moulded a bias towards her character as we did when we first read karkat. theyre both truly mean to other people, maybe both for different reasons, but i do want to point out the similarities and not leave that out. im pretty sure andrew basically gave us a conversation that formed our opinion of a character right off the bat rather than go into depth of WHY they did it, and how they are naturally without the conditions of the game. which, you can also see with vriska when she conversed with kanaya. andrew started off with a character who only appears to speak once, and makes you judge them from first appearance alone, without any explanation as to why they said what they said and how they are with other characters, let says. so you assume they were simply a rude character. now look how karkat turned out. so im guessing in homestuck, the first impression should never be the opinion you stick with until MAYBE 5 more conversations with that character (each one different)
OKAY done with the vriska introduction, now to slutquius
yes, hes kinda weird, i have stated that many times. i have no idea what to say about him other than he likes porn, he likes centaur dick which just so happens to be his lusus as well and if that isnt a red flag idk what is
he also likes his lusus milk, right from the udders of his guardian
fun times, fun times
my opinion of equius kinda.. differs. which i should really put in place the “dont judge by first impression” rule, because at first i thought he was rude with, then i thought he was hhh okay, because i understood why he was being so protective over nepeta and her team placement, since the people she was going to play with WERE dangerous. but if you think about it, both sides will probably put you in danger. it just depends on which ones you confide in more to protect your back rather than those which would cause trouble on purpose, in my HONEST opinion. so equius was a little overdramatic on that part, but i got what he meant. he was on the blue team and he didnt want to leave nepeta alone without him on the red. but then this session happened. and he went back to being weird again because of the whole porn thing, especially being so open about it like dude chill youre 13. but the thing is, then i felt bad for him because hes basically touch starved. to say that he could break anything he touches, i doubt people would go up to him for hugs. in fear they would be crushed to death by a simple hug. so im guessing hes rather lonely and doesnt really know how to interact because of this. so i felt sad that he had to live a life where he needs to be careful of everything he touches so it doesnt break randomly. see? poor dude. but then things got weird. and im pretty sure hes a masochist. so my opinion on equius is a fucking cosine graph
which brings us to the final point:
gamzee and equius’ conversation
i dont even know.....like.........gamzee was unaware that equius was using him for his own power play roleplay, right? gamzee knew it was a roleplay but it had had some.. idk.... obvious sexual implications? and i bet gamzee didnt really know that? he thought they were only venting out through a simple roleplay and trying to get closer because he originally thought equius hated him, considering equius flat out said “i hate you” and gamzee went “you tell me everyday and im okay with that” so.. gamzee probably wanted only to get closer to equius so he helped out his little problem which.. thats so sweet but i feel bad he was coerced into something he didnt get, especially since he was innocent enough to go along without knowing equius’ true gain
anyways, equius was getting off with the hierarchy thing. considering he’s “lower” than gamzee, and gamzee is surprisingly ...high on the spectrum??? so equius wanted gamzee to boss him around, because it felt only natural to him since he’s the “inferior one” and gamzee is The Big Man. like i get that, but it was written in a way that was so uncomfortable, that i wish i didnt. equius is just a weird character... hes not BAD per say, but hes... hes something alright
but im really liking gamzee. the two things which struck me in that one conversation, was the “i dont get why we should dictate people by the colour of their blood, i just see people as people” piece of dialogue and “i cant go around pleasing just everything so its alright if you hate me”
thats... so good, idk. i really liked that. i also really liked when kanaya said “youre dangerous but dangerous people are needed and are important because it shapes you” like <33 my fucking heart
god homestuck may be a tad on the weird side with some of its characters but it surely knows how to create great lines of dialogue
and that concludes the long 4 hour session i did, hope you all enjoyed it
with that, i rest

From the Children
Tumblr media
( @mightybluephoenix i’m so sorry this took so long love i just didn’t know how to do shay :( I hope this is enough to make up for it and I captured his essence!)
Read on Ao3!
Things were different, Shay realized as he stepped into the Colonial Kenway manor. Not very much so; nothing was askew, or torn apart, no entry was forced in a way to cause suspicion. But in his lifetime -- two lifetimes, it seemed -- of training, he could sense a foul mood permeating the air.
He had only meant to step in and report on his success with locating the precursor artifacts with the Grandmaster, but this took precedence as he began to slowly search his surroundings. He found one of the maids hard at work, dusting what seemed to already be a fully polished desk, and she only jumped a bit as he came up behind her.
“Ah, Master Cormac, forgive me.”
“It’s quite alright. Mary Anne... Is the Grandmaster in?”
“He’s currently in a meeting with some important folk. I didn’t ask. You’re welcome to wait for him if you like, sir.”
“I will, thank you. But... What’s happened in my absence? I was only gone a month and it’s as if we’ve already entered mourning.”
At his question, she hesitated. The old lady finally took a breath and haltingly explained. “The master... brought back someone.”
“Someone?”
Her eyes darted away to something behind him and he turned to notice the closet door ajar just a bit. It wasn’t very big, only an odd closet meant to store boots and muddy clothes. It almost filled him with unease until he looked back at her and gave a slight bow.
“Thank you.”
She nodded and curtsied back before taking her leave, seemingly not wanting to be in the room anymore with whatever waited. He didn’t blame her, but he was curious enough to decide to take another look as he crept closer. Was it an Assassin caught on a mission? An informant? Someone from his old life? His hand rested on the knob and he took a minute before opening it quickly.
“Leave me alone.” Was what greeted him, the voice coming from seemingly nowhere until he looked downwards at the floor. There, huddled up with crossed arms, was a young boy. His dark brown eyes were fixed in a glare at his apparent intruder, with anger and pain Shay hadn’t seen on a child that young -- was he four? Five? -- in his life. He was actually brought into shock for a second until the boy spoke again. “What do you want?”
“Forgive me.” Shay found himself actually apologizing to the fiery boy, and got over his shock enough to crouch down and get eye-level with the child. “I... Wasn’t expecting to make your acquaintance.”
“I did not want to make yours.”
The more he inspected him, he realized a few things. One, the boy was a Native, clear in his face and the deerskin clothes he wore. Two, he spoke English almost fluently, even if the words seemed to not fit in his mouth correctly. And three, in his brow and eyes and nose and the set of his jaw... He looked just like the Grandmaster. He had been aware of his dealings in the Colonies before Shay had been recruited, and even after. But he had never mentioned anything about fathering a child.
“Your father... is he Haytham?”
Another dark look overtook the boy’s eyes and he looked down. “He found me and took me here.”
“What of your mother?”
Silence. Shay realized with a pang of his heart, the heart he thought had died a while ago, that he had been a victim of humanity as much as those in Lisbon. He might have been displaced by infighting, or some other outside forces. But he felt for him in a way he hadn’t expected.
“I’m sorry.”
“Hmm.”
“My name is Shay Cormac.”
Again, a breath of silence, and then, “Ratonhnhaké:ton.”
He seemed unwilling to say much more, and Shay decided to leave him to it. “I’ll see you eventually.” He remarked, earning a barely-there nod from the boy before standing and closing the closet door, leaving it ajar.
-----
“Your son seems… interesting.”
“You met him, then.” Haytham didn’t even look up from where he hunched over the table with his maps of the Colonies and the Caribbean. Various markers of different troops and factions dotted it, a map of progress. The Assassins were virtually extinct, Shay noticed with a grim satisfaction. Achilles would be hobbled, both physically and in terms of manpower.
“Just for a minute. He was renting the room in your mud closet.”
“He’s been there for the past week. Barely says a word, or pretends he can’t speak. I leave food out for him, but all attempts to bring him into the fold are generally rejected. Attempting to teach him anything yet would be disastrous.”
“Yes, I can guess that,” Shay remarked, unsure where to go from there. No doubt the boy was to be the intended Grand Master of the Colonial Rite when Haytham ate dirt. Shay might even be dead by the time that happened. Still… to talk to him might do good. Bring him over a bit gently to the right side. “May I stay a few days before setting out? I only have a half-baked lead for now. Perhaps I can… talk to the lad. He has questions, perhaps I can answer.”
Haytham finally looked over at him and judged Shay, scrutinized him in a way that made the Irishman feel as though he was being picked apart bone by bone. He must have passed the silent test since Haytham nodded his approval.
“Fine. I don’t know how much luck you’ll have. Yes, yes, Shay. You make your own.”
A bit of embarrassed heat overtook Shay’s face until the Grandmaster allowed him to leave.
-----
“You are still here.”
“And I thought you would be sent to bed, lad.”
“I want to stay up. I can not sleep here. It is… too quiet.”
“I think I understand.”
-----
He didn’t so much as make an acquaintance with the boy, rather the boy would pester him as a child was wont to do and Shay would indulge him. There were times when his visits, which were still infrequent, were actually welcomed. Ratonhnhaké:ton was still wary at best, but gradually every time he came by something about him had changed. Not evenso often in physical ways, such as height, but in mannerisms and personality. He had a black and white way of viewing the world, deeming who was right and wrong simply from meeting them.
Shay knew it was good he had been viewed favorably since he saw what had happened when Ratonhnhaké:ton met the others; when Charles Lee came to deliver an update on shipments flowing in and out, the child had run out the house; they found him later in a cart of leaves just outside the front door. Shay found him later that night, in his actual bed.
“Father says Charles Lee did not kill my mother.”
“I don’t think Charles would.”
“I do not believe it. He hurt me. He has hurt others before. I know it.”
What else could Shay have done but sit nearby until Ratonhnhaké:ton fell asleep?
-----
“You’re going to need a European name if you’re to go out.”
“Not needed. My own name is fine.”
“The colonists won’t take too kindly to your real name, Ratonhnhaké:ton, I can promise you that.”
“You understand it.”
“I’ve also known you for three years.”
“Then do you ‘know’ my new name?”
A moment of consideration.
“Connor. It’s… a strong name. A good name.”
“Fine.”
-----
Connor was thirteen when the question came up.
“Is your boat big?”
Shay was expecting him to speak, having noticed him standing in the doorway for a while, but wasn’t expecting the question.
“It’s a ship, Connor, not a boat. There’s a difference.”
“Fine then. Is your ‘ship’ big?”
“The Morrigan is small and old-fashioned compared to most. But she’s loyal, and strong.”
Connor’s brow furrowed in confusion, as it often did when he thought people weren’t making sense. “She?”
“You call your ships ‘She’.”
“But why?”
“I could ask the same on why you’re so obsessed about her.” Shay finished buckling on his swords as he turned to look at Connor. He glanced away for a second before straightening up and looking the Templar in the eye.
“I want to see it- Her. I have never been to the sea. Take me there.” Shay gave a little chuckle, and Connor had the right to look offended. “I’m not joking-”
“I know you’re not, Connor, don’t worry. I can see you have that determination. Which is good for a prospective sea captain. But I can’t exactly drag your happy arse to the sea for a few months.”
“My father said it was fine. Yes, really.”
If Haytham was actually sending Connor out, then he either very much trusted Shay with his only child -- which the hunter thought was the greatest moment of his Templar existence, in honesty -- or he very much had had enough of Connor’s attitude and needed him gone for some silence. But both were acceptable. It wasn’t like Connor was one to lie, either.
“If he did-”
“He did-”
“Then pack your sack and be ready for the walk to the harbor.”
A rare, but genuine smile overtook his face as he gave a quick nod and almost hurried away to get ready.
The trip wasn’t that long, they reached the harbor in less than half the hour where The Morrigan  was docked. Even only having been away from her for less than a day, Shay felt a part of him start to come back to life at the thought of being at her wheel again, for any reason. The deal they had was that Connor was still to train with his sword as he had been with his father for a few hours every night, but he was to stay back if they encountered any dangers. Haytham might have trusted the Templar with his son, but there was no guarantee of anything positive should the boy come back harmed… Or not at all.
Connor stepped onto the deck hesitantly, getting a feel for the rock of the boat as Shay had seen so many other sailors do before, and he couldn’t help but feel the slightest bit of pride start to overtake him at the thought of seeing him on the deck of a ship more often. Shay’s ship, all the better. He gestured for Connor to come up near the wheel and gave the order to set out; the water was calm and the wind fair in the late afternoon.
“What do you think, Connor?” Shay asked as they pulled out of the harbor and into the Atlantic. He held a nervous tension in his body from all the sights and sounds of the shouting crew, but it seemed to mellow out as they continued.
“It is wonderful. Father’s maps show most of the world is like this. However, I hadn’t pictured it to be so big.” He looked in front at the open water and back at the coast of the mainland. “I thought we would be closer to England than this.”
Shay felt a smile tug at his lips. “England is far away, much too far from here to take you. We’re going South to the Caribbean. It’s much shorter of a distance.” The boy nodded his understanding and continued to look out at the sea, a sort of faraway look in his eye. Shay left him to it and looked ahead to the ocean.
-----
He hadn’t expected the weather to shift the next morning; not too violent seas, but a drop in the temperature uncharacteristic of the late spring in this part of the world. He was used to it, the thick red and black robe warming him constantly, but one look at Connor showed that he hadn’t expected it. He had left his more familiar clothes back at the manor, instead donning one of the hated “colonizer robes” his father had had made for him. The cotton was fine, but he had nothing to guard his face or hands. Without much thinking, Shay took off his fine leather gloves and handed them over.
“Your hands are cold. Let me help.” He added on as Connor opened his mouth to likely refuse them. He watched with some satisfaction as the boy reluctantly took them and slipped them on. Perhaps it was because of this that he said something he never thought he would. “Want to try and captain?”
The other’s eyes widened a bit in muted surprise. “It would… be interesting.” He eventually agreed, and Shay realized he couldn’t back down after a reaction such as that. He moved aside, a hand still on one of the spokes of the wheel, and Connor took his place. His head was just enough above the wheel that he could see what was going on, and he dutifully placed his hands where instructed. Shay let go after some minutes of instruction and stood close by the young man’s side.
“Seems she’s all yours, Kenway.”
“She.” Connor nodded in agreement.
-----
The trip was fine going down South. Things became warmer after they passed Virginia, and after a day or so were in Havana. Of course, with things going well, Shay should’ve known that things wouldn’t be good forever, that tragedy was meant to follow wherever he went no matter how he might silently rage about it, how much he might want to curse any God listening. He thought he was over this, thought that nothing could get to him damn it damn it-
He walked into the cave with what turned to be a false lead and left it with a wound in his leg and a few dead bodies left behind. His search for the Precursor box was back at the start; with nothing to show for it. He didn’t know what had made his crew back away as he walked on the gangplank; perhaps it was the blood he has hastily tried to patch up. Perhaps it was the dark expression he knew he carried. Perhaps… Perhaps it was simply him. Like they knew what he had done.
Which, some of them knew him. But not most of them.
Connor was forced to stay behind, a fact which he greatly resented, making sure people knew that fact, and Shay knew he had left him in good hands. Now he looked… worried, almost. Alarmed. It wasn’t an emotion Connor seemed to feel often, or if he did, he hid it quite well. But now it was almost full force as Shay leaned on the front rail with a sigh of relief, weight taken off his leg at least a bit.
“You’re hurt.”
“Smart boy.” Shay somewhat groaned at the obvious statement, but Connor was unperturbed as he kneeled down to grab the man’s leg. “Connor-!”
“The wound might get infected-”
“Connor I swear-”
“A doctor said we need to look at it immediately if it does-”
“It’s just a scratch! Leave off!” Shay shouted, and Connor quickly stood up out of some sort of fright. Shay realized what he did and all annoyance and shame melted out of him. He had never shouted at Connor, never. Even on his worst days, he hadn’t thought to get angry with the one who was so silently eager to please, to help, no matter how much he might hide it or profess his hatred. It watered down and smothered the fire of his anger. He almost said sorry before realizing the words were tight in his throat, silence lingering.
Without saying anything, hoping the gesture would be obvious, he sat down near the wheel and hoped Connor would get the message. Relief passed through him as he mirrored the gesture, opting to rip the Templar’s pants on the back of his thigh to get a better look at the stab wound. The positioning was a little awkward, and shay silently swore to never find himself in this situation again, but he bit his tongue as Connor started to look at the wound and do what little basics of medicine he knew.
“Why did you not go to the doctor?”
“Hadn’t the money on me for it. Besides, most of them wouldn’t take too kindly to a man showing up with a wound on his leg and blood spattering his clothes.”
Connor gave a small nod and quickly hurried away to get some saltwater on a clean rag, hoping to use it to clean the wound. It burned, but Shay hardly jolted as they continued to patch it up. Connor was tying a piece of a bandana around the leg when he spoke again.
“What happened?”
“Some Assassins. They decided to try and ambush me after feeding me false information. Fought them off and won, but they left me a token to remember them by.”
“Are you all right?”
“You patched me up pretty fine, from what I can feel. Have to hurry to a more reputable place in the morning, but this should work for some time.”
“Are you all right?”
“Didn’t hear me the first time?” Shay tried not to shoot back too harshly as he rolled over with a concealed wince to look at the young man. He saw nothing but earnestness, and a hint of compassion, in his eyes, and through his whole body, and Shay realized what Connor really wanted to know. He sucked in a deep breath and decided he owed it from his outburst earlier to be more honest.
“Things shouldn’t affect me as much now as they used to.” He admitted, staring a place in the wood where a knot had been sawed off and left behind a twisted look. “In the new life I’ve chosen, Connor, I’ve left behind one that… I will never fully escape, no matter how much I might want to. Shadows will always follow me, and those shadows will always have daggers on their wrists and… I don’t regret my new world. But… It will always still be there.” Traitor, hunter, words spoken by those he used to consider his brothers and sisters, now aimed with viciousness by those who didn’t understand. “Forget it-”
He felt a slow onset of warmth and realized that he was wrapped in a loose hug… by Connor. Connor, as a rule, never let anyone touch him. A hand on the shoulder by an associate was likely to be shrugged off. A pat on the back, even born of pride, was to be met with a warning glare. In truth, Shay once again felt as though he was to say something, but it started to get stuck in his throat. The hug was over almost as soon as it began, and he couldn’t help but look to Connor in complete question. The teen didn’t look him in the eyes and quickly stood.
“You needed a hug.” He mumbled and stepped away, seemingly ready to move on as he left for the wheel. “Would you like to sail? Or should I?”
Shay considered everything, looked out at the horizon and the full moon, felt the breeze startup. He turned to an expectant Connor and finally stood.
“Just until we get out of port. I don’t want to stay in this country longer than need be.”
“Fair.”
Shay leaned against the posts to the side, watching Connor as he carefully but firmly instructed the surprised crew, who knew better than to say anything. He allowed himself to relax and keep the weight off his injured leg, and for the first time truly allowed someone to captain his ship.
Connor Kenway would be a fine Captain, someday.
Let me know what you think! This is a different style than I’m used to, but I think I like it. If you did like it, I have a Masterpost here and more ideas for writings and prompts here, so feel free to request!  If you’d like to support me, I have a ko-fi here! Safety and peace!

TippiTV recap: SPN 15.01 “Back and to the Future”
Tumblr media
First a quick note on the format of this recap: I'm dealing with some neck/back/shoulder pain so I'm not going to make a bunch of captioned screen shots and diagrams and other visual aids like I usually do. That stuff, while hugely fun to do, is time-consuming even under ideal conditions. I will instead attempt to provide you with mental images of graphics I would have made.
Now, let's get on with things.
Welcome to the 15th and final season of Supernatural, everyone! If the show were a person we could give it a Quinceañera.
[Graphic: The Impala in a beautiful taffeta gown and tiara and like... satin mudflaps instead of gloves.]
It's been 5140 days since the show premiered. That's 123,360 hours. Our solar system travels around the center of the galaxy at 490,000 miles per hour. This means we have moved through 6.04464e10 miles of space since this show premiered. I don't even know what that means. Once numbers start getting letters in them, I'm lost. But it's got to be nearly as many miles as are on the Impala's odometer.
[graphic of our solar system and the Chevy Impala zooming through space together, perhaps in friendly competition]
The road so far: Man, I do not remember a lot of this. Relevant to this episode is God throwing a hissy fit, killing Jack, and releasing all the souls and/or demons from Hell.
Currently: Jack's eyeless corpse is lying around as corpses are wont to do. The surviving members of Team Free Will are fighting a lot of freshly risen dead bodies that were possessed by the released souls. If it were me just out of Hell, I wouldn't waste time in a rotted corpse. I'd just fuck off as quickly as possible and possess someone who's eating a deep-dish cheese pizza.
The risen dead are polite enough to mostly attack the Winchesters one or two at a time, so they get to grab Jack's corpse and run into a mausoleum for shelter. Okay I understand why the souls can't get through the iron doors but what's stopping the disembodied ones from just going through a window? Or through a stone wall, for that matter?
Sam asks Castiel if he can bring Jack back but he sounds like he already knows the answer. A mid-level angel without all his original powers isn't gonna be able to undo what God's done unless the plot requires it.
[Graphic of Sam's incredibly sad face as he says or thinks "maybe the plot will require it later?"]
Everyone tries to figure out what they're going to do next. Dean snarkily wonders if they're going to starve to death. I mean, no, because the ambulatory corpses will break in before long. Failing that, they'd die of thirst unless Castiel has like a TARDIS bladder that holds Dasani, and then they could eat Jack. Mmm nephilim jerky....
Proving my point for me, a resident of the mausoleum or perhaps a neighbor tries to bust through some of the loose stones just as Sam starts chipping away at them in search of an escape route. Castiel smashes its head with a big rock, causing the ghost to flee? I guess? Whatever it is looks like a glowy skeleton and ghosts usually look like their living selves for the most part.
"What the hell are we gonna do now?" Sam asks.
Ol' Eyeless Jack pops up and says in a friendly tone of voice, "Hello!" Nobody's super shocked by this turn of events.
[Graphic of Jo and Ellen saying "nobody stays dead on this show except us"]
It's just Jack's bod with a demon in it, though. Was he the one that looked like a glowy skeleton? Whatever. He happens upon some budget sunglasses on the floor nearby. No seriously they're sunglasses to save the budget because it wouldn't be cheap or timely to have to CGI empty eyes for the whole episode.
He introduces himself. "My name is Belvegar." The fuck? That sounds like a horrible portmanteau for shipping Mr. Belvedere with Garfield the cat.
[Graphic of Buckleming: "We'd write that!"]
I suppose I should check IMDB to see how that's spelled...
BELPHEGOR???
Oh okay apparently Belph is a prince of hell and "Lord of the Gap," which is like half a step up from being Lord of Old Navy. I'm looking this up on regular Wikipedia not Supernatural Wiki so the show didn't just make him up. It says here he seduces people by suggesting inventions that will make them wealthy. One time I came up with an idea for pills that would turn people's urine into toilet cleaner. I was going to call it Vita-Wiz. And that's why I've never been able to seduce anyone with my inventions.
Anyway Castiel shoves Belph up against a wall, as is customary on this show, and demands he leave Jack's bod. But Belph says he has some mojo that will get rid of all the hellish souls and demons currently trying to get into the mausoleum. Much like how Vita-Wiz gets rid of hard water stains and leaves your toilet with a minty fresh scent!
[Graphic: a colorfully jaunty ad for Vita-Wiz with Sam's endorsement a la the "Changing Channels" Herpexia ad. "I've got powerfully clean urine."]
Belph knows all about the Winchesters but is slightly surprised this latest fuckery is God's fault. He makes himself out to be a low-level demon so either he's lying or the show's not going with the prince of hell backstory. Judging by his delivery and mannerisms he thinks he's auditioning to be in Goodfellas: The High School Years.
[Graphic: High School Musical promo poster but make it mobster]
He goes on to say that, like the Winchesters, he wants all the souls back in Hell where they belong and he can get back to torturing them. "I like my job!" Unrelatable. He can't fix the main shitsplosion that's going on but says he can get them all out of the cemetery safely.
Using some "graveyard dirt" from the floor and angel blood from Convenienstiel, he works a little spell that turns all the risen dead back into just... dead. Unoccupied corpses litter the ground by the dozens. Man, what a mess. You know who isn't gonna like their job in the morning? The groundskeeper.
Also, that sure is a useful spell. I wonder if it will ever come up again...
"Where are all the ghosts?" Dean wonders.
Cut to two teenage girls somewhere else acting like teenage girls Dabb has seen in Troom Troom videos. One of the girls sees herself as a ghost in the mirror and claws her face clean off. Man, that ghost's wig is terrible. Is she Bloody Mary? I don't remember her wig being this bad. I can't believe they couldn't afford a better one even with the Budget Sunglasses.
Back to Three Men and a Belphy. Riding home in the Impala, Sam checks the news. So far, no mention of any kind of worldwide Ghostpocalypse. It seems like you're mostly safe in this universe as long as you don't live in middle America. Belph suggests they may be able to contain the ghosts before things get too out of hand and he just happens to know the right magic.
"Imagine a salt circle a mile wide," he says. Castiel points out that Harlan, Kansas is less than a mile from the cemetery so Dean hatches a plan to get everyone out so as to not trap them inside with the ghosts and demons. Is it gonna be a lame plan that would never work in reality?
But first they stop for a wrecked car on the side of the road. There's blood on the inside of the windshield but no body. "This look familiar to you?" Dean asks Sam. It looks like a lot of wrecks where someone got wanged on the head and wandered off in a daze, but they figure it's the Woman in White. "If she's back then they're all back," Dean goes on. "Every last one that we ever killed."
Okay shout out to everyone who answered my post where I asked if ghosts used to be obliterated rather than going to Hell. The consensus seems to be that the Winchesters didn't really know one way or the other early on and were guessing.
Cut to a woman running through a house with her young daughter in her arms. The aftermath of a destroyed birthday party can be seen. How late in the day were they throwing this kid's party?? To make a long story short, the ghost of John Wayne Gacy is chasing them. I'll just reiterate my hatred of this character, not because Gacy is a serial killer obv, but because it lacks internal logic! Why is he dressed like a clown?? He wasn't executed in his old clown outfit!
Suddenly it's daytime. It's like Bugs all over again. Sam, in a jacket with an FBI decal on it approaches what must be the dumbassiest dumbass sheriff in three states. He convinces the sheriff to evacuate the whole town because of a benzene leak and the sheriff just... takes his word for it. Like, he's never heard of a benzene pipeline in his hometown but doop de doop this handsome giraffe in a cheap jacket said to evacuate so it must be true!
Also why isn't the sheriff down at the cemetery?? Someone would've called that in by now! You know what I don't really care.
Meanwhile, Dean is in the car and tells Castiel to take Belph to go get supplies for the spell. Cas says he can't do it, he can't even bear to look at him. And Dean! Rolls! His! Eyes! Like, Jack's the closest thing Cas will probably ever have to a child. He was with Kelly through her pregnancy. It's only been like eight hours since the kid died horrifically. Don't roll your dang eyes!
Cas leaves and Dean puts the Equalizer gun in the glove compartment along with a copy of The Complete Works of Anton Chekhov.
Belph notices that everyone walking down the street is good-looking. Yeah, that's casting agencies for ya. He says back in his ancient penis-worshiping days, people were uglier. Belph appears to be an equal-opportunity ogler. He turns to Dean. "I mean look at you. You're gorgeous!"
[Graphic: Belphegor replacing his penis-shaped rock altar with that Skittles poster of Jensen Ackles.]
"So who was he anyway?" Belph asks, referring to his meatsuit. "He was our kid, kinda," Dean says. The show manages to resist making a Gay Dads joke that I feel like it would've given into in an earlier season. So, yay progress I guess?
Sam and Castiel split up to check every house for ghosts. That seems super time-consuming. How many Reapers are left besides Billie? I feel like they should get one on the horn unless they're all dead. Anyway, Cas's house is where the Troom Troom girls were killed. The ghost's wig looks even worse in daylight. Do they get their wigs from the Hobby Lobby doll crafting aisle or something?
Sam's house, meanwhile, is where John Wayne Ghosty went on a sartorially illogical rampage. Somehow the mother and daughter are still alive. Dumbass ghosts can't see behind a shelving unit, I guess. The instant Sam gets them safely down, Ass-Clown immediately slices him across the belly. Castiel shows up to blast the ghost with rock salt.
Meanwhile, Belph is fanboying over Dean's torturing skills. Gasp! The show remembered Dean was in Hell. It'd be nice if they were consistent about it but whatever. Belph casually mentions that all the doors in Hell opened and Dean realizes this means the cage, too.
[Graphic: That dancing gif of the actor who played Adam that says "Still in Hell" but now it says "Maybe not in Hell."]
Castiel heals Sam's wound and the fabric of his jacket! The mother and daughter are still standing there seeing all this. Cas is like, "Whatevs, I'm an angel of the Lord & Taylor." The mom is pretty flabbergasted, and even more so when Sam mentions the wound he sustained after shooting God. Castiel can't heal that one, though, because it's probably gonna be a recurring plot point judging by the flash of Evil Sam we see.
The sheriff is making a final sweep through town when he happens upon the Woman in White. The sun looks to be setting, which means it's probably been 16 hours since all the souls and demons escaped, but they're still basically within a mile of the cemetery? Even I, burdened with an easily exhausted flesh body with shitty joints could have gotten farther than that.
Anyway, Belph needs a fresh human heart for his spell so it's pretty handy of the sheriff to die! That way none of the mains need to do the morally objectionable thing of murdering someone.
Dean senses a sudden drop in temperature. "Winnie the Pooh, right now!"
WHAT THE FUUUUCK??
Hold on. I'm watching this at 1.2x speed. Let me rewatch it at 1x.
Okay he says "we need to move, right now."  My apologies to Mr. Pooh for thinking you could ever be a part of this.
[Graphic: Winnie the Pooh chipper as anything. "I CRAVE THE BLEAK ABIDING COMFORT OF DEATH AND HUNNY."]
At the same time, Sam and Castiel are walking the two survivors through town. The little girl pauses at a badly placed fish pond because she sees a woman in it. Is it Bloody Mary? What's she doing in a pond? Seriously though putting a pond right on the street corner is just asking for trouble even without spectral shenannigans. How many people have driven over the curb and right into that thing?
Okay I gotta stop getting hung up on landscaping issues. Even if they are HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE AND NONSENSICAL.
Dean is attacked by the Woman in White. Ass Clown goes after Sam and the others, and is soon joined by... a tall ghost and... Lizzie Borden? Sam accidentally shoots Cas full of rock salt when Lizzie vanishes, which is pretty funny although move ya pretty self out of the way, Cas. When she pops up behind him, she tries to choke him with the ax handle. It reminds me of that lesser known poem about Miss Borden.
Lizzie Borden had an ax Gave her mother 40 whacks Tried to choke the angel Cas 'Cause axing would've been too fast
In the ensuing fisticuffs, everyone has time to throw punches while Belph performs the spell. All he does is put the heart on a little pile of salt and chant some Latin. Is like the thing Ruby 1.0 did with that poor virgin girl's heart a million years ago?
Oh sweet Jeebus the sight of these ghosts chasing everyone on foot is... bad and funny. Y'all are ghosts! You can just blip in and out of wherever you want to go! One of the only upsides to being dead has got to be not having to do cardio anymore and here you are running the hundred yard dash like it's 6th grade PE class. They come screeching to a halt where the spell has created an invisible boundary. This might be worse than Hell.
[Graphic: Parisian street mimes trying to escape an invisible box]
But wait... Why wasn't Belphegor affected by this spell? Did he write in an exception clause? Or is it only for ghosts and not demons?
The Good Guys plus Belph bring the mom and daughter to the high school down the road where all the evacuees are sheltering. With no sheriff to coordinate things, isn't it all just gonna... fall to pieces now? How are they gonna convince everyone to stay away from their homes? What if someone needs their prescriptions? ("Oh no my Herpexia!") They can't get rid of the ghosts as long as Hell isn't in business anymore, right? This is a mess. Dean seems to know it.
Dang why are Castiel and Dean on such icy terms? Why do I not remember last season?
Now that they have a five second breather before the shit hits the fan, Dean wants to see Sam's godly bullet wound. It looks a little crusty but not too bad except... "There's no exit wound," Dean notes. He gives it a swipe with some alcohol which will surely kill whatever supernatural E. coli is in there.
"So when Chuck said this was the end I guess this is what he meant," Sam says. Yes being trapped in a high school with my neighbors seems like end times to me, too. Tonally, things seemed a lot more dire in All Hell Breaks Loose 2.
Dean's feeling a bit embittered about discovering they didn't have as much free will as they'd thought, that everything was part of Chuck's personal lab experiment. "What did it all mean?" he wonders. "It meant a lot," Sam says. "We still saved people."
But what even are people, man? I'm going to have an existential crisis and I can't drink as much as Dean because I have that "Asian flush" gene thing. One drink and I turn super red and hot and queasy and then I pass out.
Sam thinks God has fucked off to who knows where because he hasn't seen the promos for episode 2 yet. "He gets bored and starts another story." Ah yes like me and my WiPs. Relatable. Overall, Sam is feeling much more optimistic. "Once we win this, God is gone... and it's just us. We're free."
Dean catches his optimism cooties. "I like those odds," he says of fighting billions of evil souls. You know what that means? We got work to do. Quick intercut of Baby Winchesters with Middle-Aged Winchesters saying the same thing and closing the trunk of the Impala.
[Graphic: Impala with the solar system again. This time the Impala is pulling ahead. "ONE MORE TIME AROUND, SONS O' BITCHES"]

🎧 Notion- Tash Sultana
You’re dressed in a typical looking summer dress. It’s a pale yellow that compliments the new tone of your skin from all those days out in the sun. It feels like summer is nearing the end, even though it’s not. Just the good part… the best part. You look at your hair in the mirror, your mother will probably comment on needing a trim but that’s okay. Your nails could use a manicure, sure. None of that had mattered these last weeks.
You check your phone once again for the time and decide to leave it behind in your bedroom. As you make your way down the steps you avoid looking in the direction of the small library- your sanctuary. Your temple of hope… and the dreams that had been blooming just a few days ago. It makes your stomach uneasy.
You make your way through the quiet house and notice a few people finishing up the last bit of work. Looking for the smallest details to be buffed. It makes you sigh, and it feels like your body gets ten pounds heavier.
Down the hallways and to the large front doors, you walk and shed the last bits of memories. The last bit of feeling you had left. Its easier to abandon it.
Your parents should be here any moment. So you open the front door, leave it open, wide open. And you sit down in the entry way, resting your head against the door frame. A few moments go by unbothered. You suppose it will be a nice welcoming gesture when they’re chauffeured up the drive way. They will see you waiting for them and they might be surprised… but they won’t notice the left over tears lining your face. Or maybe they will… and in their self absorption they will surely mistake it for happiness to see them… relief to have them back. Something absurd.
So when the gates open, and you see the black recognizable car sail up the drive, you allow the tears to fall one by one, quietly and secretly before wiping them away and picking yourself up.
Dinner that night is treated like a celebration, or a gift. Your parents have Betsy prepare dinner and they talk and talk about their brief travels. You notice the glow of your mother’s skin, but there’s something unnatural about it, especially in comparison to your father’s. You assume she didn’t spend nearly as much time out in the sun as the tan would lead you to believe, but instead had a spray tan applied to fit in on whatever beach she had visited. You can see her now- large brimmed hat, sunglasses, drink in hand as she sits somewhere shaded fanning herself from the “terrible heat.”
Despite that, she has sweeter stories to tell than your father who seems to be unhappy about the entirety of the whole vacation.
The patio was swept and hosed down and you insisted on eating outside tonight. It was your idea to suggest Betsy make extra food for everyone else to be able to enjoy. This meant of course, Hyunwoo, Betsy, George, and whoever stuck around this late could relax a bit and take a second to suck up to your parents for their generosity and mention how nice it was to have them back.
“So,” your mother began noticing the way your eyes would drift in the direction of the guest house waiting your Hyunwoo to appear. “How has Hyunwoo liked his stay so far?”
Her honey voice and narrowed eyes were a mere insinuation, but not a direct one.
“I think he says how much he appreciates it at least three times a day. He doesn’t think he deserves it, but I personally believe I’ve never seen the yard look better.”
Your father nods in approval and your mother’s lips purse just enough to hide her accusatory smile.
“He has a gift,” your father grunts, but there’s something dismissive about it.
“Its nice that he’s about your age. I’m sure that helped, having someone to talk to while we were away.” In contrast to her demeanor she was snake like, intuitive, and quick to judge.
“Yeah, I believe he might almost consider me a friend,” you say hoping that Betsy delivers the food soon. You take a sip of your wine glass, swirling it around out of boredom but also anticipation. Hyunwoo surely will stop by, if anything to say hello.
“I think he’s very attractive,” your mother goads with a lift in her brows. Your father looks at her approvingly.
“Don’t you start,” he huffs.
Just before the conversation can progress you watch as Betsy carries out a roasting pan with a steaming chicken, browned and seasoned. Your mouth waters at the sight alone, but the smell is strong full of flavor.
“Betsy this is absolutely amazing!” your mother coos as she places it on the table and begins to cut it. You’re so distracted that you don’t notice the quiet footsteps approach behind you until Betsy speaks.
“Ah, Hyunwoo, why don’t you help be bring out the rest of the dishes.”
You turn your head to see him wearing a short sleeve button down, clean and neat. His khaki shorts wrinkle free as if he had planned to impress tonight.
“I’ll help too,” you say jumping to your feet. He briefly glances in your direction.
“Nice to see you again, hope you enjoyed your trip,” Hyunwoo says with a smile directed at your parents. Your mom looks at him with a wide grin, and your father responds pleasantly reaching out a hand to shake.
“Ah, we wont get into it just yet. But, my, the work you’ve done out here is absolutely spectacular.”
You don’t wait to hear the rest, but instead make your way into the kitchen and wait for Hyunwoo to follow. When he steps inside, expression softening from the praise, he looks at you.
“That’s a nice dress,” is all he says.
“Thank you,” you say nervously as you pick up a dish off of the counter. You don’t move until he’s there as well doing the same.
“You look nice as well,” you say. Because he does. He always does.
He responds with a curt smile and takes his dish and begins to walk away, you hesitate, wanting to say something, but he’s already strides ahead of you.
Dinner goes smoothly. Hyunwoo sits across form you next to your father, and you notice how your mother watches each time you look in his direction. They talk, hyunwoo politely listening with brief interjections of agreement or questions. Your father rants about business, and the economy. Your mother sits quietly, eating… occasionally rolling her eyes and only speaking up when she disagrees with your father.
You aren’t paying close attention to notice when exactly it gets brought up, but you notice the moment both of your parents eyes land on you.
“Cooking? She can’t cook” you hear your father snort.
“Where did you learn to cook?” your mother asks looking at you in amazement.
You look at them both, over to Betsy and then back at Hyunwoo.
“Uh, I’ve watched Betsy,” you say with a shrug.
“It was delicious,” Hyunwoo compliments casually, with a slight awkward smile. The shock on your parents face is annoying to say the least, and Hyunwoo must pick up on it because he gracefully switches their attention towards the hedges, asking for their opinions on the additional height.
Afterwards you notice a slight apologetic look from Hyunwoo, and a rather distrustful one from your mother, as if whatever suspicions she had have been proved true.
Not long after, the conversation begins to slow and Hyunwoo is first to excuse himself. Its not too much later that its just you sitting across from your parents with a pit in your gut as you cant manage to finish your plate.
“So, you’re a cook now?” your mother begins, “that doesn’t sound like you.”
You look up at her, noticing the way your father seems to mimic her curiosity.
“I got bored, like you anticipated,” you answer raising an eyebrow.
“Hyunwoo seems to enjoy it,” she says with a slight challenge.
“He’s just being polite,” you say tightening your jaw just a bit.
“That he is,” your mother says a bit softly. “he’s a very nice young man.”
Your father looks over at her, a question on his face.
“What’s your point?” you ask trying to remain amicable.
Your mom shrugs, “there isn’t one. Just an observation.”
“His parents also aren’t millionaires, and he didn’t graduate from an Ivy League school. I’m sure you’ve already observed that.” You let a bit of bitterness leak into your words, and your father is first to respond.
“What does that matter to us?” He says, showcasing his offense.
You only roll your eyes, and your mom keeps quiet for a moment.
“He’s a very nice young man,” your other says with a sigh. It sounds like realization, it gives you a weird sliver of hope. Like maybe… they really do think he’s great.
“And it is too bad he’s less fortunate than us, but we can’t continue to pity him,” your mother adds. The words strike fire in you, because… pity? She thinks this is all for pity?
Your father nods in agreement. “yes, dear, I enjoy his work but cooking for him? Cleaning out a guest house? the… charges on your credit card?”
Your throat tightens. You forgot about the purchases you made at all of the male clothing stores…
“That’s not.. its not… not like that…” you stammer out.
“So what is it like then?” your mother asks with a serious expression.
“you said it yourself,” you say shyly, “he’s just a really great… worker.”
You finish the words the safest way possible. The only way you know how to. the only way that would make sense.
“Yes and we pay him for that. It’s unprofessional to give him special treatment just because you might fancy his appearance,” your father says with a roll of his eyes
“its not about his appearance,” you say quickly, “i… I enjoy his company. We get along.”
“You don’t have anything in common,” your mother charges immediately.
“Well, I’d like to!” you say with a quick flare of your temper. “He’s hardworking, smart, funny, kind… he’s… he’s-“
“what are you saying?” your father interjects, face red.
You think for a moment… you try to relax. You remind yourself it doesn’t have to go there, nothing good will come of this. But, instead you remember all the time you spent together. all the feelings that you had suppressed out of fear, and here they were face to face ready to fight.
“I’m saying, I think….” You look at both of your parents mustering the confidence you have. Its then you notice Betsy peeking out of the back door. Her eyes are wide, mouth open… but you can see the excitement in her surprise. She’s been listening, and she gives you a look of amazement , which is enough to push the last sentence out.
“I’m saying I think I’d like to start seeing him.”

shoutout to my beta who i wont name incase they dont want me to!
@schwergaeneuser @msmynx @im-tops-bottom @jacksonfrost24 @seven-oomen @el-rezet @thoughtfulbreadpolice @cwar1864 @starsofyggdrasil you guys all asked to be tagged in future chapters and here you go! sorry for the long ass wait!
Groaning, Tony opened his dark, whisky brown eyes that look up at a thankfully darkened ceiling. Soothing low lights illuminate the area but aren’t enough to hurt his eyes, allowing him to get awareness slowly and at his own pace. Whoever had the foresight to dim the lights, he will send them a massive fruit basket to show his appreciation.
Turning his head to the side, Tony takes in more of his surroundings as he tries to figure out what on earth happened, and just where the hell he is.
To his surprise, Tony can see what looks like a lab beyond the area he is in. While he looks, a Wakandan in a lab coat strolls by, talking to their…wrist? Confused, Tony winces as he slowly sits up, rubbing at his chest and arm as he feels his limbs protest the movement.
Setting his feet onto the floor, he notes that his clothes from earlier, the ones he recalls wearing on his flight, have been replaced by a dark blue tunic with black, very loose linen trousers. Both are far more comfortable than they should be, and Tony wondered if they would let him keep the clothes if he asked nicely.
“I see you are finally awake,”
Jumping (and no he did not scream!) and craning his neck to look over his shoulder, Tony spots Shuri; recongising her from their video calls from before.
“What happened? Last thing I remember was being on the plane…”
Playing with the beads on her wrist, Shuri walked around the table to stand in front of the elder Omega, smiling at him, though in her eyes Tony can see a cheeky glint. An easy to miss look that makes Tony think of Peter.
“How are you feeling? M’Baku found you in a pool of mud and water. Very lucky you were here in Wakanda when the accident occurred. Anywhere else and you would still be bruised and broken.”
“Whoa wait, how long has it been since you guys found me?”
Brow furrowing in confusion yet intrigue, Tony tries to stand and is happy to find that he can do so perfectly, even if he is a little groggy still.
“Oh, about 3 hours? I’ve been improving our healing system lately!”
Smiling brightly and obviously proud of herself, Shuri helped him move away from the table and slowly led him to a lab chair. She offered him a drink of water which Tony gratefully accepted, downing it as fast as he could without making himself sick. Putting the cup down and breathing heavily, Tony’s eyes widened in shock and no small amount of awe.
“Three hours?!”
Damn Wakanda really is superior huh? Tony shook his head and tucked away his questions for another time, though he would love nothing more right now than to take a look at the system Shuri was using and learn how it all works. Tony quickly brought his focus back to the main issue.
“Does anyone know what exactly happened? What caused the accident?”
Sitting down near him, Shuri gave him her full attention.
“I just checked in with T’Challa before you woke up. The are looking through the ruins as we speak and T’Challa said he is cataloguing everything they find and if they spot anything weird, they will let you look over it. I also have scanning equipment to look for any electrical faults or tampering”
Rubbing his forehead, Tony sighed heavily as he tried to think of anything that could have gone wrong. The aircraft was one that he’d built and put together mostly by himself, anything he hadn’t done himself he had Friday overlook and monitor. However, if its not the actual craft that was compromised, then that leaves the horrible option that someone had snuck something onto the plane without Tony or Friday realizing. And that honestly frightens him far more.
From the grim look that Shuri is giving him, she knows exactly what he’s thinking.
“Thank you Shuri, for healing me and to your brother for looking over the plane for me,”
Waving away his thanks Shuri grins at him, her upbeat personality coming back through. “Don’t thank me, I kinda wanted an excuse to show off something to you”
Giving her a grin of his own Tony looks back over to the area he had just been laying in.
“I am thoroughly impressed already and cannot wait to see more inventions from you”
Bouncing in her seat, her body practically vibrating in excitement, Shuri grabs his arm to pull him up as she stands. “let’s start the tour!”
Without waiting for Tony to reply, Shuri drags him off to show him around her lab, introducing him to the various scientist that are currently working on one project or another. Tony loved the moving black model pedestal. The black matter moving fluidly to bring up whatever is needed, be it floor plans or models of objects. Essentially a much better version of a hologram.
When Shuri showed him the bigger version in the middle of the floor that allows her to remotely drive a vehicle from the lab, Tony lost it and insisted on her giving him a demo of it. Like children in a toy shop, they got stuck into their own little world.
They were so engrossed in what they where doing that they completely missed M’Baku entering with Bucky following behind, carrying a tray of food for Shuri and Tony. The duo had intercepted the original person carrying it and insisted on delivering it themselves. M’Baku brought them to a stop a few feet away, watching the now healed Stark chat away with the younger genius.
Bucky stood a little bit awkwardly behind M’Baku, as the last time he and Stark had met face to face…bad shit happened. He didn’t want to hurt Stark, the poor omega had been hurt enough as it is; yet his concern had won out and convinced him to keep checking on Stark’s progress as he healed. M’Baku was much bolder than him though.
They watched for a while longer as the two geniuses spoke at the speed of light, Tony screaming and eagerly testing out each invention. Firing questions and saying words that M’Baku could not keep up with nor hope to understand. Amused, M’Baku makes his way closer calling out in a sudden booming voice to catch their attention.
“Food! That is if you two can drag yourselves away from the toys long enough to eat it,” Smirking when Tony and Shuri jump, M’Baku helps Bucky put the food on a near by counter for them.
Rolling her eyes, Shuri gets up and helps tony before deactivating the invention they were playing with.
“How did you get in? I thought I banned you after the 5 times you guys asking if Tony was better?”
Looking over the plates, Shuri oohs at the variety of foods that had been prepared for them, many of which would be easier for Tony to eat if he was still feeling a little off. Behind her, Tony catches sight of Barnes and pauses briefly as he takes everything in.
Barnes looks hopelessly nervous and scared stood behind the larger Wakandan, the red robe like clothing actually looks good on him, the blue sling around the stump where his arm used to be is done in a tasteful manner which doesn’t drag your attention overly to it. Hell, Tony can even admit that Barnes looks healthier overall, his hair looks fluffy and is longer, a small portion pulled back into a bun. Tony is not afraid to admit that Barnes looks handsome.
Wakanda obviously agrees with him.
“You look good Barnes”
Freezing slightly, Bucky looks up at Tony in surprise that Tony is actually acknowledging him. Nodding his head slowly and drawing himself up to stand a bit straighter, Bucky gives Tony a small, soft and shy smile.
“So do you”
Huffing in amusement, Tony plucks up from fruit to eat to keep his hands and mouth busy as he feels an uncharacteristic shyness overtake him.
“Thanks, considering I was a wreck 3 hours ago, I take that as a big compliment”
Between them, M’Baku looks between them with growing glee at how adorably shy these two are. Yes, he knows that things were not that great between these two not so long ago, but it seems to be fixable judging by what he’s just seen. Deciding to think more on this later; and possibly make a plan to help these two fix the gap between them. M’Baku pulls out a bottle of juice that his tribe had made themselves.
“I brought this as well, it’s meant to help with any aches. Would you like to try some?”
Humming in thought, Tony looks the larger Alpha up and down in a considering manner. Growing up rich, Tony had gotten used to expecting many Alphas having a motive behind many of their actions. Some more sinister than others. However, this alpha seems genuine enough.
“Sure! As they say, when in Rome do as Roman’s do huh?” Tony flashes M’Baku his most harmless yet charming smile.
Oh, M’Baku thinks, I’m in trouble.
