Day 27: Modern

I’ve been thinking about this since July

[straight-into-the-animus]

Thinking a bit about Assassins Creed II today. I quite like that you can't kill too many innocents since "Ezio never killed civilians", and that it sequence breaks the memory time machine.

While modern morality meters and bad endings are fun it's refreshing (if you can be refreshed by an older game) to play as an objectively "good" character.

This is around the time of the GTA series and COD so there was definitely a place for being able to kill whoever you want. But instead the devs decided that it was integral to the character to be likeable and honourable.

It's just nice, yk?
