Tumblr notified me that a gif I made was used in somebody else's post, as I get every so often ever since I posted my Scavenger's Reign stuff, so out of curiosity I clicked on the post.

Just to see that, right beneath my gif, there was a little note saying "For some reason half the gif picker is just hands touching stuff…"

You know, I was agonising over the fact that I had to have a lot of artwork printed and framed but except for a few pieces and actual photographs and I can literally just… redraw them myself and save several 100 euros so

#to be fair to me #I hadn’t picked up a brush for like 15 years #for sad and depressing reasons #but it turns out that I’m better at drawing now than I used to be #because it seems that literally just getting older #improves your art skills #because you learn to observe things better and proportion makes more sense #all of this is to say that I made a portrait of her dog for my mum’s birthday #and I didn’t know I could do it so well and I’m happy about it

got a new house plant, which can only herald disaster (early house plant death syndrome) but Fredrica is very pretty

#to be fair to me #two of mine have lasted over a year lol #and i think two of them died simply bc it got so fucking cold in here #and i had nowhere else to put them #gertrude the prayer plant is currently living elsewhere in the house where it's warmer #only steve the cactus lasted all year in the bedroom to no ill effects #anyway i like having plants in here bc it makes me Not forget to open curtains bc that living thing needs sunlight
