Are there any Bob Marley/Ziggy Marley Wings of Fire or Warriors animatics? If not y'all are sleeping on them.
Darkstalker/Queen Wasp | See Dem Fake Leaders (Ziggy)
Almost any WoF protag really | War (Bob)
Hawkfrost | I Shot the Sheriff (Bob)
RiverClan | Rebellion Rises (Ziggy)
Edit: Hawkfrost fits Eric Clapton's version better, but Tigerstar would fit the original I Shot the Sheriff

So I have a theory that every Hunter has something on the otherside of the Vel. It's how they're able to draw upon and use it, because of this connection.
It's also how Hunters are able to close rifts. Because you have to ask yourself: If the Hunter closes it on this side, who (or what, to be more precise) closes it on the otherside?
But I've been thinking about the entity from C2, and starting a new playthrough I'm at the part where the Hunter is remembering the Ladder and this passage comes up:
During a particularly rough segment of the Ladder you completely lost your appetite and had insomnia so bad you began to see things constantly, a dark shadow always looming just beyond your vision.
Now obviously this could just be what it says, a side effect of the Hunter's insomnia, but... is the dark shadow the creation of the Hunter's... "opposite"?
i'll say.. not quite. i suppose these are light spoilers, but i want to talk about it hehe and throw you all a bone (though most of you are already very close to getting it right)
the connection hunters have mainly pulls power from the dark magic of the Vel itself, and the magic present on the other side, rather than from any sentient beings (like how mages pull power from natural forces: fire, storms, etc). however, it can latch on to something and drain it if it's in the wrong place at the wrong time when the hunter opens the Vel - or if it's patiently waiting for the hunter on the other side, which is exactly what happens in the isolation district. if the hunter is the one that voluntarily opens the Vel, you'll get this line:
"There's a familiar presence with you now, the faint rattle of chains ringing in your ears, and you let it step into your shadow - let it step into //you//. Together, you break into a run across the courtyard."
the hunter is pulling power directly from the entity here because it was literally following them and waiting for the opportunity to get through to them. it tried previously with the wraith, but ultimately failed since both it and the wraith were weaker, and then again the night before by luring the hunter into the woods so it could see them alone, but it still wasn't strong enough to break all the way through, even though it did get the hunter to open the Vel then.
when the Vel is torn open by the hunter in the isolation district, they are doing it forcibly and deliberately - there is no resistance from them anymore, so the entity is finally able to break all the way through.
if you do not open the Vel, it will end up collapsing on its own, mainly due to the fact the Vel was already incredibly fragile there but also because the entity is pushing in on the other side. you'll get a different scene where it will actually speak to you, and even though the hunter tries to resist, they're too weak in that moment, and the entity is able to forcibly let itself in.
and while the entity does tend to take the shape of the hunter, that's not it's "true form" and it will change shape quite a bit as the story progresses. now that it has made direct contact and finally attached itself fully to the hunter, we're going to be seeing it a lot more 👀
so it's not the hunter's shadow, necessarily, though you are right about that specific line regarding the Ladder - that comment about the dark shadow was deliberate. the thing that's following the hunter has been following them for a long time, but it existed long before the hunter did.

I low-key hope they'll have to switch territories like some people said they might. But this time, I don't want the territories to be the same. Like oh how convenient, everyone got basically the same territory again! I want things to be different, so the Clans will have to get used and adapt to new places. I'm sure they can do more than just river area, moorland, swamp-y, and forest.
im actually all for them moving again - into a new territory meant for five clans that doesn't constantly expand inconsistently (behind ksyclan is mountains (SqHope), but behind shadowclan is forest and towns (TgShadow)? no sense) if the new territory had more exploration + them setting up landmarks and places (ie an owl tree, some rocks like snakerocks, yno just points of interest and things) id be all for it. some unconventional places too would be cool. maybe they should go north of the mountains to a completely wild area with craggy rocks for WindClan, a windswept and even a seaside delta for riverclan.

"Do you know what the Hawthorne Effect is reader?"
"N-No I don't think-"
"It is the study of how one changes under the condition of being monitored or watched. Thier performance improves, their behaviors, their appearance, their body language. Before you entered this Parable, can you ever say you had anything profound happen to change your life for the better? I think not. Before this Parable, you were miserable. And Despite your happenings and events here, you have improved. You are happy."
Okay imma talk about Void here. I have brainrot about my boy.
Void Narrator is from a unfinished fanfic I did a year ago. It was a half life stanley parable crossover.
The Narrator was a Psychologist that worked for black mesa and was sent to infiltrate the facility that stanley worked at to study the mind control tactics they had. To him, this was the greatest opportunity to understanding how the mind worked in response to being controlled. And in his mind, this was the ultimate catalyst to him being the greatest psychologist. He felt as though he could use this tactic to become a better psychologist by mind controlling his patients somehow with the help of Black Mesa.
When the cascade resonance happened, he became mutated into an entity and is now a part of the void entirely. And he can be malicious and deadly. But he mostly watches everything. He erased stanleys coworkers including his closest friend (who later respawns).
I never finished the fanfic because I ran out of steam, and I didn't have a lot of information that I do now. So now he is in TNP (the narrative Parable) where he belongs.
Yes, He is aware of G-Man from his orginal story. He was a frequent visitor.
Voids name is yet to be spoken publically. It will be featured in the fanfic.
He can hear thoughts very easily, which is also how he's able to do psychology very well. he's also incredibly violent when it comes to intruders in his territory, however, he has a select few narrators that he tolerates in his facility, they come to visit him and play games, however, void tends to cheat when it comes to games. He can tranform the cards and dice to his liking.
He was a psychologist for workers at Black Mesa because many of the workers, mostly the scientist became frequently stressed about their work position and needing to get things done on time or else they would face expulsion from the facility.
When he was a psychologist to black Mesa, he would often spend his earnings on gambling, and he would never lose, often using his psychology to trick others into losing, and thus, when he was transformed into a void creature, he used his abilities to his full advantage, he could care less if he was caught.
He loves having a drink before he gets started on his work. he has various wines and decanters. he owns a parlor inside the void which looks like a bar in a casino. Clean green and red carpets. A poker table. several couches ro get comfortable on or rest. A fireplace. he also has his doctorates hangingon his wall above the wine cabinet.
I loves him. T.T

I don’t underdstand the “omg no they ruined squirrelstar by making her leader!!!” And like… what books are you guys reading? I think she’s great. She’s mischevious, funny, she’s rather friendly to most of her clan, and she’s genuinely being a good leader.
Idk in all of the other arcs she just seems really stressed out and angry, probably because there’s always somebody after her, but after Brambleclaw retired she seems great. Do you guys just want her to be stressed out or something? I genuinely don’t get it.

Honestly I'm also not fully happy with what they did with Whis this book
#morningtalks#asc spoilers#Not like they gave Whistlepaw a lot of screentime at all despite how relevant WindClan was all of a sudden#(nooooo that had to go to Crowfeather. Not like he's got enough attention with TNP + PO3 + his super edition + deputyship + TBC#+ Changing Skies now too. Noooooooooooooooooooo we really can't have a single other cat in WindClan be important)#At least Whis had an excuse. Making Additional Content for another book that readers have to buy and be USELESS in that book#But Whistlebreeze?#Out of all the fun names you could've chosen. Whistlebreeze?#At least it's not Whistlepelt or Whistleheart#But really? Whistlebreeze?#I find it boring honestly#It's obviously a me thing. I'm obviously going to take Whis' name more seriously than most because I draw that damned cat Every Single Day#But there were so many possibilities for really poetic and pretty names#But they stuck with the simple option. Whistlebreeze#I obviously wanted Whistlebird#But with Ivypool's Therapy Session you could've made an argument for Whistlestorm#Even if it doesn't sound good at all. The two 't' s really don't make for a good name#But it would've been better than Whistlebreeze as far as I'm concerned#-breeze as a suffix can be cute and I like it but it has little to do with Whis aside from WindClan#Whistlebird neither but it sounds fun and has a rare suffix#Obviously Whistlefrost would've been hilarious#Heck. I just thought about Whistlecreek. Kinda odd but could be a more discrete hommage to Frostdawn as a RiverClan cat#(Frostdawn is a good name tho. Pissed she's back to being a healer but Frostdawn is good at least)#I also love the -berry suffix but with Berryheart just being a nuisance it would've been a very stupid decision here#But I'm just annoyed that they went with Whistlebreeze. It's boring. It's kinda pretty yeah but it adds nothing#It says ''Whis is a WindClan cat.''#Whistle- is a hard prefix to work with. The 't' and 'l' at the end makes it nearly impossible for a good amount of suffixes#Because they wouldn't sound good. (Any occlusive or lateral would've been horrendous. That's why Whistlelight sounds bad. Too many L's)#Whistlebreeze does sound nice at least but again it's bland and I am disappointed and really they could've done so much#With this name. Whistle is a difficult prefix but it offers so much poetic potential

Okay. All my Warriors books have arrived and I'm so excited for the journey. I finished Darkest Hour last week and I started reading Midnight on the train. So far so good! I feel like the writing changed up some? Maybe I liked the way more dramatic and emotional writing from TPB, it just feels a little drier to me. Though the new conflict and prophecy is interesting so I will continue reading.

Damn.
So on one hand, I can't give up Merry because not only am I romancing her, but the HUNTER being the one to give her up, whichleads to her being chained is just messed up on so many levels.
On the other... Duncan royally angered me so much that I may have to give her up just to curb stomp him.
Thank you for all these save slots, I am going to make good use of them!
you're welcome! and you never know, handing her over may lead to an interesting conversation later....

pov : willice rants about The Broken Code Jayfeather (SPOILERS FOR THE BROKEN CODE)
It's been a full year now that I decided to re-read every single Warrior Cats books, as a teenager I stopped at OotS, so I re-read all of TPB, TNP, PoT and OotS. I am done with DotC (I have many opinions) and just finished AvoS, so I am starting TBC (currently at book 2).
Clearly the Writing Team™ has big, big issues with how to handle Jayfeather and his personality. Jayfeather was meant te be blunt and to freely voice his anger and concerns with little respects for other feelings sometimes, but he was never meant to be outright mean and antagonistic, was he ?
He went from a personal favorite of mine in PoT and OotS to a very unlikable character in TBC. He actively bullies and isolates Twigkit in AvoS (when he was previously known to be patient with kits??), but I can tolerate this mischaracterization i guess
But TBC Jayfeather ??? I don't know if it's just the Writing Team™ being extremely bad at understanding his character, or if it's the first symptoms of the Onestar disease, but I am kind of scared of how he will evolve in the 4 following books :(((
In the first two books of TBC, Jayfeather can hardly go through a single conversation with / about Shadowsight without straight up insulting him, his intelligence and competences. He had opinions about Willowshine and Kestrelflight, but he would rarely, if ever, straight up disrespect them to their face like that. Now, he actively participates in all the gossip around Shadowsight and characters will say "Jayfeather said Shadowsight is just a featherhead !" because Jay's opinion is that valued and important. (idk the actual English insults, all my books are in French, so you will have to suffer the French horrors sorry guys 😔)
At some point, during a Gathering, Jayfeather just tells everyone that Mothwing doesn't believe in StarClan. In front of the five Clans, the leaders, the deputies, the other warriors, like, everyone. Just because he was personally pissed at her opinion.
Just as a reminder, the Clans are all extremely faithful and the lack of faith has been a plot point several times, showing emphasis on how important it is for all cats to show devotion to StarClan. Medicine cats are literally meant to talk to StarClan. And in general, the Clans are known to be agressive to anyone who doesn't respect StarClan, thinking that if you don't follow StarClan's commands then you don't have any moral values at all.
Another reminder, Mothwing is not only the daughter of Tigerclawstar, she is also an ex rogue. She got her medicine cat title only because her brother created a fake omen, because her status as an ex-rogue made her an outcast in her own Clan. Mothwing has been known to be more vulnerable to isolation than other medicine cats.
So huh, yeah, Jayfeather just put Mothwing, an already vulnerable she-cat, in extreme danger, throwing her under the bus in front of absolutely everyone, including her own leader, her own deputy, most of her clanmates, and most of the other Clans members. Mothwing is shocked, obviously, and quickly says that she does believe StarClan is real, just isn't devoted to them.
The response of the Clans to this revelation is so out of character and disconnected from their agressive violent culture that I had to re-read the whole thing a few times.
The Clans just go "weird flex mothwing, but ok" and go back to their business (business being : questioning why StarClan isn't communicating with them anymore). From what I know, the revelation Jayfeather just made is never going to impact the story ever again because Mothwing gets banished for the crime of being a ShadowClan cat's child. So this whole scene is just there to show that Jayfeather will use precious informations against others if he gets annoyed at them ??? I don't know if this is bad writing or character assassination at this point man😔my po3 jayfeather would never.
None the less, Jayfeather KNEW how dangerous such a revelation could have been. Every single medicine cat, including her own apprentice Willowshine, kept the secret, because they all KNEW it would endanger Mothwing if the Clans discovered the state of her faith. This was literally a plot point in TNP with Leafpool like COME ON WRITING TEAM™ YOU HAVE TO LOCK IN !!!!!
I know this scene is canon (sadly), but this depiction of Jayfeather is just so alien to me. Jayfeather knows what it's like to be different and to be special, why would he insult Shadowsight over and over again when the kid is obviously struggling ? Also Jayfeather has been accused of murder and was on thin ice at some point, he knows what it's like to be accused in front of a whole Gathering, why would he do that to Mothwing out of all cats ???
Do you have any opinions on this ? Do you think this is just normal Jayfeather behavior, or do you think it is the Writing Team struggling to grasp Jay's personality ? I would like to know what you feel about that because from all the fandom discourse I did read, no one ever talked about how flabbergasting Jayfeather's behavior would be
In conclusion the real impostor is jayfeather
